Wardd
The Glyph for Wardd is regularly seen in use today. Though the outer circle is sometimes missed out the symbol for luck can be found on anything from coins to calfing shed walls.
The symbol consists of:
Path |
Holy | Luck |
Divinity |
It seems that the High Woldians believed in a form of predestination,
in which there was one 'true' path amidst multitude of false roads in life,
a Holy Path for each and every mortal. Those on the path would experience utter
perfection of mind and body. Therefore to them the concept of 'good luck' was
the experience of those not on the path accidentaly and briefly stumbling upon
it. 'Bad luck' was the experience of an individual moving in the opposite direction
to their 'true path'.
