Power Apotheosis

It is said that . . . . .

Apotheosis was once a great friend of Domi and wandered the Wold in search of new things and new life to see. He was beloved by all the beings of the Wold, before he had turned past his 24th year he had helped deliver a dragon, nursed a beholder chick to health and kept Cockatrices as pets. The Gods seeing his love for the beasts of the Wold wished to grant him immortality. They said that they would do so provided that all the living beings of the Wold would swear to never harm him. In order to get their pledge Apotheosis called them before him and asked for their pledge and to bestow on each one a gift. These gifts were of a strange nature as Apotheosis could pull out what was truly in the animals soul and show them their own beauty making them aware of what they had been all the time. He showed the badger its courage, and the eagle its strength. He showed the bear its love for its offspring, and the snake its fantastic colors. Upon each showing the beasts of the Wold bowed before him and swore never to harm him. Once all the beasts had sworn so a huge celebration went on, it went on for weeks and no one noticed that the Raven slept through the whole thing. Finally upon awakening the Raven flew lazily to the party to find the celebration in full swing, seeing the gifts bestowed upon all the others it sang in its beautiful voice loud and clear. . . “Stop this nonsense, I the most beautiful voiced of all the birds has yet to receive my gift and I demand it now!!!” The celebration stopped and Raven was brought before Apotheosis. Apotheosis smiled down at the Raven and told him that he gave no gifts other that what was inside all along. The Raven believing it was perfect sang out “Well if this is so than bless me Apotheosis for I will become as beautiful on the outside as the in!!!” With that Apotheosis smiled and said very well, bestowing upon Raven his gift. As he did so the Raven saw its beautiful silver feathers drop off one by one replaced by black ones, and heard its voice change from the beautiful song to a harsh loud caw. The Raven furious demanded to be put back and Apotheosis only sighed and let tears fall from his eyes. “I told you dearest friend,” Apotheosis said “ I can only show you what was already there inside you. And with that he walked away in great sadness feeling the Ravens pain. Bear came to Raven and asked him to swear never to harm Apotheosis as all others had done. Raven seeing that I he said no he would be killed as all others loved Apotheosis blindly so he swore the words but in his heart rejected them. Soon after that Domi was called to do battle with his friend Alemi and asked Apotheosis to join them. Apotheosis believing he was immortal did so and the battle went well in their favor for some time as Apotheosis could not be harmed, but then high in the sky a black could appeared growing larger and larger until the very sun was blotted out. The cloud turned and swooped down toward the battle and Domi. Apotheosis believing he could not be harmed stood in front of his friend to take the back storm cloud on but as it grew near everyone gasped as it wasn’t a cloud at all but a flock of ravens that swooped into the man and picked him to pieces before anyone could move and then flew away again, leaving the dead Apotheosis there with an arrow through his heart. Upon pulling the arrow out Domi saw that it was fletched with raven feathers, the shaft made with raven bones, and the point itself fashioned from a raven’s beak.

Apotheosis is currently a Legend and no priest may progress past 7th level.

Apotheosis is united with Domi and will share his priests with him, He currently has no enemies.

Apotheosis grants no domains or domain spells however he grants the following powers.

1st level: Advantages

Access to druidic spells as well as cleric ones / Grants a familiar like a mage

1st level Restrictions:

May never harm an “Animal” monster type for any reason

4th Level: Advantages

Gains an Animal companion like a druid

4th level: Restrictions

Bludgeoning weapon only vs “beasts” / May only attack a living creature if he or a friend is attacked first

7th level: Advantages

May make the spell Animal growth permanent on either is familiar or its companion, This works only once while that animal is alive. Should it die the priest may use this power again

7th level Restrictions

May only use bludgeoning damage against “Dragon”, “Magical Beast” or “Monster” types

May only attack a living creature if HE is attacked first, and then may only attack that creature.
