Ffloy
The symbol for Holy Exchange, representing the deity of Commerce, is more abstract than most High Woldian symbols. This symbol is stil seen occasionally in a variety of corrupted forms, the most typical being the balance scales. It is made up of the following symbols;
Give | Take | Exchange |
Sacred Circle (Wold) |
As you can see, the symbol for Exchange (or Trade as it has become
today. From what we can surmise of the High Woldian civilisation barter was
used in place of a financial system.) is an abstraction of the combined Give
(a hand offering) and Take (a hand receiving) symbols rather than a direct usage.
When combined with the Holy symbol we get the God of Exchange, or Ffloy.
It is probable that this abstraction is the result of slow adaptation, and it
is perfectly possible that earlier versions of the symbol for Exchange were
far more closely linked to its root words. However we can only offer conjecture
on this point, as no corrobiorative evidence has thus far been discovered by
the Gatherers.
Certain followers of Ffloy can be described using the following symbols:
Walking man and Ffloy | Word and Ffloy |
Venturer of Ffloy |
Oathbound of Ffloy |
