After the group gets a few hours well needed rest, and after ensuring that the orphanage is clear of nasty monsters, they venture out into the dawn, toward the Docks.
((OOC - this gives everyone time to replenish spells, get healed up etc. If you use a potion for healing - roll it in your next post and role play it.))
And what a dawn it is.... At last, the sun rises, but the tale it tells as it bathes light on the Floating City, pushing in through the levels - is one of despair. The streets are littered with possessions and dead people. Bands of thieves pick at corpses until chased away by platoons of guards rarely seen on the Fence level.
Everyone hears the chaos at the Docks before they see it - shouting, yelling, sobbing. It looks at though the entire City is here, trying to get on a boat. Finding Flaust, Blake and the others seems an impossible task.
But - amidst all the shoving and pushing, Blake is seen whistling and beckoning to you all. As he leads everyone to a less populated spot, he asks - "Who's this?" while pointing at Eljer.
Around a high stack of delivery crates, a large group of children are gathered, along with Flaust. She looks very pleased to see the group.
Eljer d20+5=18 Monday November 12th, 2001 7:13:32 PM
Eljer nods respectfully at Blake and Flaust.
"My name is Eljer. During the recent commotion, I sought refuge in what I later learned was an orphanage run by you," he says, his eyes acknowledging Flaust. "Upon my entry, I was set upon by four zombies who managed to corner me on top of a cupboard, much to my embarassment. Fortunately, your children here were most timely in their arrival as they quite quickly and effeciently disposed of the abominations. I did what I could to help but my efforts were quite woeful. In return for their much appreciated assistance, I have offered my help in any and every way possible. I now extend the same offer to you m'Lady for as you raised them, you must be credited with instilling in them the virtue and kindness they exhibited in allowing me to accompany them as opposed to leaving me to my own devices."

Plink d20+3=23 Monday November 12th, 2001 10:21:49 PM
Plink runs up to his adoptive mother, and wraps her tightly in a hug. "Mother, how are you? Good to see that you are alright! This is a new friend of ours, his name is Eljer... Do you know what's going on in the city?!" Plink, even while Flaust responds, walks about to the younger children, hugging them, playing with them a little, all the while listening to his mother speak. He's trying to raise their morale, as only a bard can. (Just a Charisma check to try and improve their attitude. Critical success, natural 20)
Miranna Monday November 12th, 2001 11:17:00 PM
Miranna runs up to Flaust and the children, her emerald eyes brimming with tears of joy. She stops a few steps from her dwarven guardian as Plink wraps the latter in a tight hug. Her eyes slowly roam over the sea of little faces, checking them off one by one against the mental list in her head.
Finally satisfied that no others have been lost besides the two at the orphanage, Miranna turns to Flaust to find her looking curiously at her. The elf suddenly remembers, with a blush, the jewelled hairband and earclips she is still wearing. She hastily takes them off and stuffs them in her backpack, while offering a clumsy explanation, "These are imitation jewellery, loaned by a friend for a - special function."
Seeing Plink still in his finery, Miranna runs to the busy bard and nudges him.
Jezebella d8+1=7 d20+2=15 Tuesday November 13th, 2001 8:59:24 AM The night before -
Jezebella catches Miranna's arm as she runs off to get her equipment. "Miranna.. wait. Get your things, come back here. We go together.. as I said, the streets are dangerous. I won't lose anyone else tonight, my sister." Her deep brown eyes fix on Miranna's.. pointedly not looking down to the two small bodies... her harsh tone betrays the emotions of the night.
As she waits for the others to prepare, she sits.. occasionally casting a considering glance over to Eljer.. but never while he is looking her way. Her throbbing side continues to pester her as she tries to get comfortable.. when she coughs and tastes the metallic taste of blood, she grumbles and fishes one of the potions she has in her beltpouch. She downs it, grimicing anew as the bitter taste mingles with the taste of her own blood. (healing 7 points of damage)
Her head nods as the potion repairs the damage.. "what's in that stuff..?" She manages before the pressures of the day and the restorative effects of the potion overtakes her.
Morning -
The gypsy girl smiles, seemingly for the first time in ages.. her face shines with joy in the morning light as she takes in the sight of the children and Drake and Flaust. She moves from child to child, ruffling hair and pinching cheeks. She checks the children for wounds as she teases them... carefully, but not so throughly that they notice.
When Miranna hides her hair clips and moves to Plink, Jez stands ... giving the small boy's hair another tousle. "Miranna is covering for Plink and I, Mother. We went out.. to dinner, and danceing.. a date.." She tries to make her flustered blush appear embaressment. "I know it's against your rules, I'm sorry. Miranna was kind enough to offer to 'chaperone' us... being the oldest of us..." (15 cha)
Syr d20+5=17 Tuesday November 13th, 2001 1:31:51 PM
Syr follows the group quietly and listens to Eljer's description of what happened. When the gnome mentions his rescue, he looks closely at Mother to determine any signs of surprise. (Spot 17)
Pulling Blake to the side he asks, he tells him in a sad voice, "I did notice the zombies were the children left behind ... So what happened?"
Even more quietly, "I've heard it said that priests create zombies...isn't it ironic that the only living soul in the house was this gnome priest?"
Polaris Tuesday November 13th, 2001 8:02:00 PM
Polaris is happy just to be in the arms of her mother and family again. She does not say a word, only to let the moment absorb inside of her. She smiles out of happiness and watches as her other siblings crowd each other.
DM Jan Tuesday November 13th, 2001 8:25:12 PM
((OOC Note - your clod of a DM managed to get one of the NPC's names wrong. "Blake" should read "Drake". Doh! Sorry about that, folks.))
Flaust listens to what the group has to say about where they have been and the reason for the strange clothes while hugging everyone tightly with tears in her eyes.
"None of that matters," she says. "Just so long as you are all safe. We feared the worst."
To Eljer and Drew she says - "You are always welcome here. Always. Now please everyone, come and get something to eat."
The group is drawn into the gathering where a large cauldren of soup is bubbling over a makeshift fire. There's some stale bread to go with it.
Some of the other children want to know all about the group's adventures and pester Plink mercilessly. After eating Flaust gathers everyone round.
"We must try and get back to the Orphanage," she says. "It seems as though the guards are trying to regain some kind of order, so lets hope it's safe now. Those of you who helped rid the place of zombies - you have the grateful thanks of the rest of us." She paused and sighed. "We have to bury those two poor children who died, and attempt to get back to normal."
"What about our food?" yells one of the boys.
"Don't worry," replied Flaust. "We'll think of something." She doesn't sound very convincing. In fact she looks utterly exhausted, as though she hasn't slept. "The main thing now is to get away from these unruly crowds."
As everyone gets ready to return, Drake whispers to the group. "Some men came and stole all our food while we were fighting off zombies. See that warehouse over there?" He flicks his thumb over to a large two storey building behind him. In front of it are a group of men stood on crates. They're shouting at the crowds - to come eat in the name of "The Raven"... it sounds like a food-for-devotion pitch. Drake continues. "It's all in there. Locked up. We told them that some of it was ours, but they wouldn't listen unless we converted." Drake looks angy as he glances over his shoulder. "I wish there was a way of getting it back. They stole it!"
Miranna Tuesday November 13th, 2001 10:32:33 PM
[OOC: Jezebella, Miranna is not the oldest, although she was the first to live with Flaust. Syr is older in age, 98 years IIRC.]
Miranna's blush deepens when Flaust doesn't question or reprimand them over their clumsy lies. She decides a measure of truth is better than outright lies. Winking at Jezebella, the elf says, "Flaust, it's not really like Jezebella says. We were - engaged to entertain the guests at a noble's party. That's why the costumes and fake jewellery, that we forgot to remove in this chaos. I think the Joking Players made a name at our last performance. We were coming home when -"
The full implications of the last two days finally hit the elf, now that her mind is not preoccupied with other worries. She stands stunned for a moment, then asks her dwarven guardian in a subdued tone, "Has a God really died? Can Gods die? What will happen to the Wold?" When even Flaust has no answer, she retreats into herself and eats in silence. The younger children, recognizing her mood, leaves her alone.
Miranna makes an effort to rouse herself when Flaust gathers them to return to the orphanage. When Drake tells them about the food problem, her emerald eyes shine with grim determination. She is almost happy to have an immediate concern to keep her mind off the more abstract thoughts.
"Do not worry, Drake," the elf whispers back, "we will get it back. I promise."
Syr Wednesday November 14th, 2001 3:37:53 AM
[OOC: Gee thanks for pointing out the grey hair :). S'ok Jan, I wondered about 'Blake' but I figured I would go with the flow.]
The elf sadly shake his head, "Is it human nature to take advantage of others miseries?" After listening to Drake, Syr walks over to listen to the preaching. Pretending to pay attention he tries to see inside and examines the exterior of the building.
Jezebella Wednesday November 14th, 2001 8:34:37 AM
The gypsy girl purses her lips, considering Flaust and Drakes stories. As they finish thier soup, and begin to head back, she moves to the two of them. "Mother.. you are exausted. Why don't we all go to an Inn.. close by. The children can all share a larger room, we can rent some clean blankets. We, Drake and one of the older lads can go back to the Orphanage and .. tidy up. The little ones dont need to see what is there anyway, do they?" If Flaust objects, Jez continues.. "Mother.. you have cared for us so much, so often.. let us take care of you this once. We have saved up some small coin.. we can pay the inn's fees for a day.. even over the night if we need to."
She pulls Drake to the party, and explains in a hushed tone. "We will need to go see about getting back what is ours from those people.. can you and one other go home and bury those two children?"
She looks to the group .. "Any objections?"
Eljer d20+6=7 Wednesday November 14th, 2001 1:55:23 PM
After enjoying a tasty meal and thanking Flaust for her acceptance, he ponders the situation of the appropriated food and rumages in his memory to see what all he knows about "The Raven" and how he might use that knowledge to provide aid to Flaust.
Knowledge(Religion) Roll 7
Sighing in frustration, he doesn't seem to remember anything about "the Raven" so he wanders over to where Syr is standing to listen to the preaching.
Tiree d20+3=12 Wednesday November 14th, 2001 2:00:39 PM
Tiree moves about with the children and works with Plink to help keep the younger kids happy and their thoughts away from what has happened. She overhears what happened to the food and a grim look crosses her face.
Standing she makes her way closer to the building. Acting as nonchalantly as possible, she walks around the building to get a look at possible entrances and guards (spot 12).
DM Jan Wednesday November 14th, 2001 7:42:55 PM
From what Syr and Eljer (joined by Drew) can hear - the preaching is mostly doom, gloom and hellfire - and the world shall turn to ash under the feet of the Raven and only those who worship him will be saved blah, blah, blah.... From their viewpoint, beyond some tables of food, they can see what looks like one large room to the building - even though it is two storeys in height. It looks full of sealed crates. There are two preachers there, and about ten gruff looking henchmen stood before the door looking out to the crowd.
Flaust decides to take up Jez's suggestion, but her and the smaller children are only able to secure a room for a few hours.
Drake frowns at Miranna and Jezebella. "Look - I don't know what you're plan is - but please don't get in trouble with the guards, and don't do anything that will upset Flaust. I'll go on ahead with a few of the others and see to those bodies. I don't want the really young ones seeing all that."
He sets off into the crowd with a few of the other boys. All their faces look grim.
Tiree's investigation supplies the following information - There are no windows at the sides of the building. At the rear of the building are two windows, quite large - their sills approximately 10 feet off the ground. They look to have latches. Locked latches. No guards appear to be round the back, there.
Miranna and Weasel d20+11=20 d20+4=5 Thursday November 15th, 2001 11:36:11 AM
Taking one look at the ten gruff henchmen at the front of the building, Miranna decides to follow Tiree to the back. She directs her Weasel to climb up to the windows and examine them more closely. (Weasel Climb 20, Spot 5) Specifically, to see if there is any way to undo the latches from outside, or if the keys are left in the locks.
Regardless of the outcome, Miranna will suggest that they get everybody to meet back here, where there are no guards, and make plans.
Eljer d20+6=21 Thursday November 15th, 2001 1:38:55 PM

Seeing Miranna come behind the building, Tiree motions her over.
"Keep an eye out for me would you? I'm going to check to see if those things are rigged somehow."
Tiree looks for handholds in the wall and attempts to climb the building to look at the windows (Climb 19). If she makes it up there, she checks the window over for traps of any kind (Search 19) and if she finds them, she attempts to disable them (disable device 20) before climbing back down.
Polaris Thursday November 15th, 2001 8:40:26 PM
Polaris quietly follows behind the group, looking and listening as well. She asks the others quickly if there is a place where she should keep guard or else she will sneak behind the others and tiptoe along.
Jezebella Thursday November 15th, 2001 10:25:06 PM
Strangely silent, Jez looks nervously up at the windows.
Plink Thursday November 15th, 2001 10:44:04 PM
Plink, hoping to detract from the ones heading to the back, walks up, and begins listening intently as to what the preachers have to say. He pipes up, "Does it require a tithe to join this god?" He doesn't plan to pay, but he is once again trying to distract.
Syr Friday November 16th, 2001 4:29:36 AM
From a short distance away from Plink, he asks one of the 'guards', "Hi, how's business?"
In a loud voice he projects, "Is there any chance you have some food for the orphans. While many are too young to understand your god, I'm sure they will be thankful of a full belly."
DM Jan Friday November 16th, 2001 4:48:14 PM
As Tiree joins Miranna's weasel up in the window sill, she can see no traps, but the windows are locked, and the locks will need picking.
For the moment, round the back of the building, it's still quiet. Drew offers to help hoist anyone up there who can't climb.
Round at the front - Eljer remembers something about the Raven God - a distant rumour that he had tried to kidnap King Claudia a long time ago. For some reason, the name Dathil rings a bell, and with it the sense that this particular cult is far from benevolent.
Thinking they have a possible customer in Plink - the preachers exhort him to come pray at a new temple they are building elsewhere in the City. "We seek minds such as yours, sir! Not cash! Come sir, are you hungry? the Raven feeds his children."
The guards look on, smirking. One of them raises an eyebrow as Syr asks questions. "Orphans? Feuw! This isnt a charity. Unless of course they come forth and be indoctrinated."
A few of the onlookers seem a bit put off by the guards lack of generosity.
Miranna and Weasel Friday November 16th, 2001 11:07:27 PM
[So the lock is on the outside and can be picked?]
Miranna whispers to Jezebella, Drew and Polaris, "My weasel says there is a lock without a key." Glancing up at Tiree still on the window sill, she continues, "Perhaps Tiree is attempting to pick it. The question is, can we get the food crates out through this window? I can create a distraction out front if needed, or I can create an illusion inside the warehouse to screen our activities from sight. Either plan means I will not be able to assist in actually transporting the food out."
"Do any of you have any rope?"
Suddenly noticing Jezebella's nervousness, Miranna asks in surprise, "What is it, Jezebella? I have not known our little daredevil to be apprehensive about anything."
Jezebella Sunday November 18th, 2001 11:21:20 AM
Jez murmers, distracted... "I have rope in my backpack.. I ... I honestly dont know if I grabbed my pack from the Orphanage in our rush to get here."
(Jan? Did we grab all our things from the Orphanage, or just what we had on us? hehe ... )
At the question of her nervousness, she moves in to Miranna to whisper... " ... I don't like heights, much..."
Tiree Sunday November 18th, 2001 5:21:16 PM
Tiree climbs back down to her family.
"I don't know if I can pick the lock, but I don't want to do it right now. It's too bright. Besides, we don't know enough about what's inside. Let's see if the others have found out anything."
With a last look up at the windows, Tiree heads back around to the front of the warehouse.
Syr Monday November 19th, 2001 12:54:22 AM
He raises his voice loud enough for anyone passing by to hear, "Let me get this straight, your great Raven god refuses to give food to some starving orphans?"
Getting up into one of the guard's faces, "Who in the Wold would care to practice starving the young? You sir are no better than a common thug."
DM Jan Monday November 19th, 2001 9:48:50 PM
((I'm presuming you're all prepared and have all your stuff)) One of the guards hisses at Syr. "Watch it you - and stop causing trouble." The other guards cluster around. No attention is being paid to the interior of the building.
Round the back - that lock does indeed look pickable.
Eljer d20+6=21 d20+8=26 Tuesday November 20th, 2001 1:06:47 AM
Seeming to snap out of his daze and taking a cue from Syr's distraction, Eljer moves forward through the crowd in order to slip into the warehouse.

Miranna and Weasel Tuesday November 20th, 2001 4:13:04 AM
With a soft giggle, Miranna points to Jezebella's back and says, "What is that on your back, little sister? I would not have thought you to be so muddle-headed." Her face shows surprise at Jezebella's confession to being nervous of heights, but she whispers reassuringly to the little gypsy girl, "Do not worry, we will not all have to climb up."
Miranna pauses to listen to the noise coming from around the front of the building. (I assume Syr is creating enough commotion for some noise to carry here.) "It seems the others are already creating a diversion out front. We should not lose this opportunity. Polaris, do you think you can pick that lock? I can cast my illusion first, to screen our activities from the front. Then Polaris can climb inside to tie the rope to a crate, and Drew can sit on the window sill to haul it up and lower to Jezebella here on the ground. What do you think? The only hitch is, my spell cannot screen any sounds we make, so we will have to be as quiet as possible."
Jezebella Tuesday November 20th, 2001 7:03:23 AM
Jezebella gives Miranna a blushing smile as she is called on her pack... "It was hectic.. and it is light. Don't tease, sister, I am blushing!" She laughs lightly. At the reasurance, she gives Miranna a hug.
After listening to the plan, she nods, and pulls the rope (100 foot, silk) rope from her pack. She offers it to Polaris, and says "Or we can toss the end to you once you are up there. Your choice. It really is quite lightweight... but still strong."
Drew Tuesday November 20th, 2001 9:38:07 AM
Drew stows his axe and nods at the plan. He prepares to climb and haul.
Syr Tuesday November 20th, 2001 11:54:19 AM
"Trouble? I'm not causing trouble, I am just asking simple questions, which I still have received no answer for..."
Syr edges away from the guards, "You sir." He nods to the oldest guard, "You seem the type to have children. I sure you make a point of feeding them and caring for them. Who is there to care for the orphans. Should not they be Gods children?"
Tiree d20+4=21 d20+8=12 Wednesday November 21st, 2001 1:35:47 AM
Tiree hears the commotion at the front of the warehouse and realizes that Syr is trying to create a diversion. She quickly returns to the back of the warehouse with the others. Not seeing Polaris step forward, she quickly begins to climb up to the window again (Climb 21). Settling herself into a comfortable position and begins to work at the locks as quietly as possible. (Jan, can I can 20 on this? It would give me a 28. Otherwise the rollis 12 for open lock)
DM Jan Wednesday November 21st, 2001 1:38:32 PM
Syr's questions continue to cause a bit of a commotion at the front of the building. Half the guards look like they want to strangle him, although the other half seem to be thinking about what he's saying. "Dump that trouble maker in the water trough!" yells one of the priests.
Ah, if only they'd paid more attention. the slight form of Eljer manages to slip past quite easily into the building. The interior of the building reveals the following -
Some packing cases look too heavy to lift, but there are 30 that look managable. Maybe if the heavy ones were pushed to the windows at the back, then some of the others could be hauled out of the window?
Eljer spots Tiree up above - who appears to have unlocked the window and is in the process of opening it.
Out the back, people occasionally wander past at either end of the building. Maybe that illusion spell will be needed after all. ------------
Work fast - you have the rope, the open window, and a distraction at the front. Drew will be able to carry away 3 packages. Eljer will be able to carry only 1 package. Everyone else will be able to carry 2 each. Numbers of the packages are 1 - 30. Tell me the number on the packages you are taking. There is not enough time to see what's inside them.
Polaris Wednesday November 21st, 2001 11:23:34 PM
After climbing up, Polaris decides to take packages 14 and 2, both of which look sizable and easy enough for her to grab. She holds them in her hands and waits for one of the olders to cue her to climb back down. She is nervously excited about the task that is at hand.
Tiree True Thursday November 22nd, 2001 1:14:27 AM
Tiree quickly grabs 3 and 13. Motioning to Eljer, she indicates that he should go out the same way the others are after he grabs his package.
Jezebella Thursday November 22nd, 2001 9:57:52 AM
Jezebella whispers up to her friends.. "hand me a couple boxes, please..."
She pulls box 4 and 12 down from the lowering rope.
Miranna Thursday November 22nd, 2001 10:01:26 AM
Miranna moves close to Jezebella and whispers, "I think my illusion will be of more use out here. Tap my arm when we are all ready to run, and I will drop the spell. I can help to carry packages after that, if you will prepare them for me."
She waits for both ends of the alley to be clear of passers-by before casting her spell. A stack of old, dirty crates, looking suspiciously like those outside Drew's old home, suddenly surrounds Jezebella and her completely on three sides, reaching up to the window to screen those on the sill as well. (Silent Image, Will save DC 16 to disbelieve if interacted with)
Syr d20+4=20 Friday November 23rd, 2001 1:44:05 AM
Syr looks at the priest in shock, "Trouble maker or Truth Teller?"
As the guards come near he dodges in and out of the crowds (dex check 20). "The only way to shut me up is simple, FEED GODS' CHILDREN!"
Miranna Friday November 23rd, 2001 3:51:04 AM
[Can we assume someone passes Miranna packages 7 and 17 once she drops her spell? Once they are out of sight of the warehouse, Miranna will send her Weasel to fetch Syr, and Plink if he's still out front.
I'm posting this in advance to speed things up, since our 2 weeks are up. DM, if this post is out of place, please feel free to ignore it.]
DM Jan Friday November 23rd, 2001 4:27:17 PM
As Syr dodges the guards grabbing hands, much to the delight of the crowd out front, parcels start to disappear through the rear window. Polaris staggers out with number 14 and 2, Tiree gets a hold of 3 and 13, Jez 4 and 12, Miranna 7 and 17.
All thats left is for Drew and Eljer to get theirs safely out of the window, and maybe throw down some for Plink and Syr to carry.
So far there are no disturbances thanks to Miranna's illusion.
Syr d20+4=23 Sunday November 25th, 2001 6:04:11 AM
Syr sticks his tongue out at these so-called priests as he continues to dart and dive in the crowd and guards.
Appealing to the crowd and the guards, Syr asks, "Let's be realistic, is it REALLY too much to ask to feed a few orphans? You know with food in my mouth, it IS rather difficult to speak."
Jezebella Sunday November 25th, 2001 7:12:52 AM
Jez whispers up.. "Four more for our lads... hurry! If they are inconvient, we can leave 'em here!"
She takes down the boxes lowered to her and stacks them neatly against the wall. (if I may be so bold, lets say boxes are stacked in 2 piles, 5 and 6, and 10 and 11.)
Tiree Sunday November 25th, 2001 10:13:56 PM

DM Jan Monday November 26th, 2001 6:23:16 PM
Narrowly avoiding a dunking in the water trough - Syr reaches the others to find he has two boxes to carry (5, 6), along with Plink (10,11). Drew grabs boxes 1, 25, 26. Somehow the group manages to get back to the orphanage, and persuade Flaust that Syr did a rather fine job of changing the priest's minds - so much so that they were told to "help themselves" *cough. Stood behind Flaust, Drake bites his lip to stop himself from laughing.
The children pour over the boxes, opening them up. The contents are:
1 - 200 Biscuits 2 - 40 balls of red wool 3 - 20 silk scarves 4 - 4 cured hams 5 - 4 cured hams 6 - 200 strips of dried beef 7 - 10 bags of rice 10 - a very shiny, round metal shield, one small velvet bag containing four cut amethysts, and one small velvet bag containing four blue opals. 11 - 10 bags of rice 12 - 20 bags of beans 13 - 2 sacks of flour 14 - 100 pairs of socks in blue wool 17 - 4 neatly folded woollen cloaks 19 - 10 bags of rice 25 - 20 fruit cakes 26 - 150 lemons
((OOC - I'm going to start the new scene tomorrow - giving you a little time to RP the results of the heist))
Polaris Monday November 26th, 2001 10:49:58 PM
Polaris giggles at her boxes that she grabbed as she opens them. 100 pairs of socks in blue wool and 40 balls of red wool! That was just her luck in the find, now she has to find someone who can sew!
Miranna Tuesday November 27th, 2001 12:05:53 AM
Miranna smiles as her boxes are opened, revealing 10 bags of rice and 4 woollen cloaks. Just what the children need. She shows the woollen cloaks to Drake. "They will make nice winter blankets for some of the smaller ones."
She walks around to see what the others have, her emerald eyes radiating happiness, but stops short at Plink's side. Unsure how to explain the unusual box to Flaust, Miranna beckons Drake over and silently points to him the shield and gems.
[OOC: My apologies if Miranna is overstepping herself, but Plink hasn't posted for a whole week. DM, I think nobody will object to giving the treasure to Drake for the orphanage, if he accepts it. If not, Drake will have to explain to Flaust why he's letting us keep it. :^)]
Eljer Tuesday November 27th, 2001 1:15:51 AM

Syr fails to meet Mother's eyes when the group mentions his 'persuasive skills'. Instead, he looks at the other boxes and immediately goes to box #25, "Cake! it's been a while since We've had any sweets. I think this hits the spot." With that he takes a cake, places the top back on and uses the box as a stool.
