A few days later in the Arena of Floating City:
HEAR YE! HEAR YE! During the 3 week slow down, the Storm Dragons will host a tournament. Test your skill against the bravest heroes in the Wold! Categories include: The Individual Melee! Spell Casting! Ranged Weapons! AND the world famous Team Event!
The Storm Dragons find that they have been signed up for every event. So Nonam is in the melee, and Gareth is in the spellcasting event.
Melee begins tomorrow morning. The Arena will be covered by a strong antimagic field, so spells or magic items will not work (a magic sword would still count as a MW item). All standard weapons and shields and all light and medium armors are made available to characters that wish to upgrade prior to the contest. So Nonam can pick up a sword if he wants. The melee will be in the free-for-all style.

"Hey Nonam, perhaps we should trade spots. I think I'd fare better in the melee and I'm quite sure you might do a little better in the spell casting... I wonder who will be signing up? I've always wondered how well we'd do compared to other groups...".

The drow features shift to display a genuine, happy smile. The first most of her companions have ever seen. "No worries, Gareth. Can give you ability to cast simple spells, when time comes. For now, will be good to see Nonam put staff to practical use."
