Plans for the Future

OOC discussion begins
Sunday July 21st, 2002 2:22:58 AM

Greetings players! Starting now, you may begin to discuss the new material on the website. Go to the Black Cathedral for the majority of it.

Clerics WILL have to conform to the new Godlistings. Update your characters this week.

Players wanting to take some of the new Sect Prestige Classes there may let me know of their interest and then after receiving my approval as your DM you'll be sent to the BGC.

Note that the religious Sect PrCs are not just for clerics! Each PrC can be played by other classes. Read and see which ones you might qualify for if you're interested.

Once you read the new material, start listing your suggestions for a new module here. Something fun. Perhaps selfish like a treasure hunt. Taurs must have their fun too!

We'll need to make a decision on what to do by Wed so I have time to write it. Then Monday the 29th, we'll start it.

Lots to do between now and then so I do expect daily posting this upcoming week. YOu may post more than once if you need to during the OOC week. Post freely as you need or want to.

Zeoll the Lesser (Cayzle)
Sunday July 21st, 2002 2:50:04 AM

As a chaotic good druid, Zeoll the Lesser already fits right in. One of the changes in the new Wold is that Druids can have extreme alignments.

Zeoll's next job is to go to the BGC and re-research the Seer/Shaman PrC. Yes, it's true -- I want even MORE prestige classes, please!

As for the future, here are a few ideas.

1. Go home to Hearthold Keep, see what's up at home, maybe spend some time setting things to rights and installing the True Restored Heart.

2. Fight hell-hounds on Wemic Isle.

3. One of our revelations from the YOA was that it was treacherous wemics who sparked the war between centaurs and minotaurs. We liontaurs need to spread that news, fess up, take our lumps, and set things right.

4. Domi is back! Maybe we should seek him out for a hello and a thank you.

5. Somehow get mixed up in one of those team fight/game natches -- like we were going to that time with Carl but we ran out of time.

Sam
Sunday July 21st, 2002 8:34:05 AM

Kale doesnt need any adjustments. i like the idea of the hellhounds. and while we're there we can put the rest of the wemics in their place

Laurent
Sunday July 21st, 2002 8:38:19 AM

Leets won't need adjustments either (even if Domi's Protector is on my list...). However, Leets will very soon reach the 5th level, and then will be a small problem: the paladin's mount.
I talked of it with Jerry a couple of weeks ago, and we finally thought that he could have something like a Celestial Auxilliary instead of a mount.
What do you think?

Cayzle on Leets's "Mount"
Sunday July 21st, 2002 9:50:59 AM

I think that's a great idea. You mean like a wizard's familiar?

Laurent, answer to Cayzle.
Sunday July 21st, 2002 4:19:40 PM

That's exactly the idea. The name I was thinking of was "Celestial Squire".

Marilyn
Sunday July 21st, 2002 8:38:31 PM

Still digesting all the stuff online, but I'm not too sure if Kenisha will be changing at all yet. Although the Hand of Domi seems cool (especially given her white locks! LOL).

Jerry
Monday July 22nd, 2002 12:10:46 PM

AS is not all that rare, Laurent, I don't remember that conversation about the Celestial Squire. Start from the beginning and send me an email explaining what it is, why you want it, etc.

Assuming that all is ok, I"ll probably send you to the BGC.

----

Personally, I"m in the mood for something selfish and fun for the upcoming module.

Hellhounds sounds fun. So does a game of "Honorball." I can do that as I developed it or rather upgraded it from a Dark Sun module. ;)

What about a treasure hunt?

I too want to hunt the original Wemic lands. However, if you don't mind, I'd like more than 3 days to plan and develop that one. ;) So perhaps we can do that later in the gaming year which seems to run from summer to summer these days.

------

Now for some changes. The bridges connecting the islands are gone! The original Taur has passed on and has been buried in honor.

------

Feel free to post as often as desired this week folks. ;)

Town Crier (MDM Jan)
Monday July 22nd, 2002 1:50:32 PM

Drifting in on the mists of the New Wold up ahead, the urgent bell of the Town Crier is heard pealing in the streets.
Lundy the Boomer brings news.

"Hear ye, hear ye!

A frantic search has begun for the Floating City - which is currently nowhere to be found!
Did the City and its inhabitants drown beneath the lake? Was it destroyed in the cataclysm? Did the mysterious Teucri rescue their creation and take it with them? No one knows!
So far, there have been no survivors from the lake, and dives are taking place in an attempt to establish if the Big Float should now be renamed the Big Sink!

Reports from far and wide indicate widespread destruction and damage to buildings and structures all over the Wold!
Miraculously - most people appear to have been left unharmed, and are beginning the enormous task of rebuilding what was damaged or lost!

Clerics all over the Wold are proclaiming the existance of new Gods! These Gods have been named the Gods of Testing! They are-
Marteaus, the God of Disease
Ga'al, the God of Domination
Caeroldra, the Goddess of Lust and Passion
Jancassis, the God of Revenge
Warrd, the God of Luck, and Chance
Gargul, the God of Life, Death, and Souls!

Temples and other places of worship are changing hands, being rebuilt, or being created to worship these new deities! It appears that two major pantheons how exist - the Gods of Testing, alongside that of Alemi, Domi, Flower, Pantheon, and Ffloy - the already established Gods of the Wold. Some say the God Gargul either belongs to both, or that he transcends them all!
Everything appears to be in a state of flux! There have been reports of new Sects being formed, and of strange abilities manifesting amongst the populace!
Are these abilities a gift from the Gods? An appeasement for the Godwar, as some say? Or are they a curse, and something to be feared?

In Plateau City, some members of the high council have allegedly gone into hiding! Those who remain have released a statement, proclaiming they were misled, charmed into actions against their own natural will, and remember little of past events. They say they are drawing up an amnesty proposal for certain groups and organisations who are currently banned from the City as outlaws and renegades!
Sturtavent will be reinstated, and the council is at a loss as to explain why he was originally removed from office in the first place! A persistant rumour - that he merely had the wrong haircut, is just that - a rumour. In truth no one seems to know!

Elsewhere, news has arrived of a new eastern pass through the treacherous Scab, created by the upheavals and earthquakes of the Godwar! Adventurers are said to be already flocking toward the area, in search of new lands, new riches, enlightenment and knowledge!

Hear ye, gentlefolk! Take note of the bell - for there will be more!

Jay (Brahmah)
Monday July 22nd, 2002 4:19:57 PM

Ummmmmm.....

Brahmah is fine where's he's at. He's a simple fighter. The only thing I can see that he might want to do is stay away from ships and the docks.

I'll go along with the majority on what to do. Brahmah does, after all, follow.

Cayzle
Monday July 22nd, 2002 5:47:26 PM

A hell hound hunt sounds good to me! Frankly, I was kind of (pleasantly) shocked by the tithe that we got from our fellow Taurs. The least we can do to repay the liontaurs is to kill some hell hounds. Then we can consider doing a good deed for the centaurs and minotaurs too!

Well, the magic bridges may be gone, but I still think we should continue to call it Bridge Island, because as an island it will be like a bridge connecting all Taurs!

I guess that means we'll need a boat on a regular basis. We should look into buying a ship and permanent crew. A crew of Taurs, I say. In fact, we might want to look into the finances of our Hearthold Keep. Who pays the bills? Should we contribute to its upkeep?

Jenner (Ceira)
Monday July 22nd, 2002 10:07:12 PM

Ceira will remain as a normal sorceress for now.

However, I'd like to integrate the discovery of Ceira's new familiar into the next plot or a plot soon thereafter. Preferably an airborne creature.

To expand on a treasure quest idea, how about utilizing the newfound Mermen and their abandoned/ruined city? No one knew they were there so I'm sure a lot of history has yet to be written about that place.

A sports activity would also be fun. I've never actually thought about that possibility in D&D. I was looking forward to that centaur arena game since I was curious to see how it all works out but oh well.

As a general comment, I would like to see more rigorous puzzles or traps that allow for a more sense of non-combat "victory". If we don't then we will probably be yelping in pain. :) I think I can understand the downside to this though. If no one figures it out the first day, then dragging it on one or two more days would mess up the scheduled plot. Tough call.

Jerry
Monday July 22nd, 2002 10:35:19 PM

OOh, I'm getting an inspiration....nice ideas guys. I like them all so far. Keep the ideas coming.

I think that a Taur protector and a Taur Hand of Domi is interesting.

I also like the idea of a Fixer Taur and a Grim Taur. Yes, I know the god involved is not Domi, but both are friends of his and you can patron more than one god.

I'm not pushing these on anyone, I just want you to consider the possibilities. ;)

Brahmah (Jay)
Monday July 22nd, 2002 11:37:32 PM

OOC:Jerry-cko, you are a God! I wish Brahmah could qualify for one of those PrC though. :( He's kind of dumb and not very quick.

I wrote in his background that he would like to become a Hand of Imod, I want to continue to progress in that direction. After all, he did kill Raakis, a Captain of said position!

Arena games?! Hmmmmm.... arena games might be good, Brahmah loves combat, and he would be great in those games. Reality is, we could hunt down those Hell Hounds, capture them (not all just a few) and fight them in the Pits (arena). Just another thought. We could raise money for a cause and even keep the overhead. :) Yeah, my brain is working now. We could hold magic duals. Contests.

Another idea might be to 'rebuild' the bridge, or at the very least, create a ferry service for the Taurs. I don't know, just an idea to throw out there. :)

I like Jenner's idea about the MerCity in the ocean. I would think the more history found that is parallel to the rest of the Taurs might shed light on aspects of Land Taur life we didn't know about.
Jenner, I dislike puzzles, but I excel at riddles. However, Brahmah would just assume beat in a door to open it than answer a riddle or pick a lock. He might have an occassional epiphany thought. ;)

These are all really silly and simple ideas, but their MINE!! :)

Jerry, is XP for the Endgame going out this week too?

I'll have other ideas later I'm sure. :)

Jay
Monday July 22nd, 2002 11:52:50 PM

I also thought about the ship and permenant crew, Brahmah has sailing experience and wouldn't find the job that bad. But he does want to forget about his experience on the Nightengale.
Brahmah might be a good bowson mate or even first mate, but he NO Captain. :)

Flat-top(Lady Ceil)
Tuesday July 23rd, 2002 10:15:18 AM

As Flat-top trots along the path to Heartkeep, his heart beats a little faster, "Home Again." Flat-top stops at the Beautiful doors, smiles and opens them. He is off to the meeting room and greets his friends, "Hail Taurs I'm back from the wars." Flat-top look tired and hungry. "I have meet Domi and I gave him back is living, beating heart. We did well but not with any cost, many will never come back. But on to our reward, Domi gave me one wish and I wished for all the Taurs Islands to be reunited. Two tears came to his eyes." At this point Flat-top opens his hand and there in his hand are Two perfect tear shape Diamonds." As I pick his tears up, he told me that it would have more meaning for us, If we reunited the Islands ourselves."

Flat-top look around to all his friends and asks, "When we discourse as what to do next, PLEASE keep in the back of your mind as to what Domi last wish??"

"Now I'm Hungry, HEY! KITCHEN anything to eat?"

Zeoll the Lesser sheds a bitter tear
Tuesday July 23rd, 2002 1:52:55 PM

As the Chosen discuss mounting an attack on the foul hell hounds that plague Liontaur Isle, Zeoll seems a little sad.

"It is a shame, I think, that Zeoll the Grreaterr is not herre to join us. Hell hounds werre the enemy he most sought to hunt (it was hell hounds that destrroyed his family), and he neverr had the chance to fight them."

"If we do follow this path, let us do so in honorr of the memorry of he who most would have wanted to be herre -- ourr forrmerr leader, Zeoll the Grreaterr!"

Cayzle
Tuesday July 23rd, 2002 5:42:24 PM

Zeoll just made a new friend in the Red Wyrrm Inn -- a cute little ravenous flowering plant with teeth.

Hmmm ... greenmage ... tempting ...

Brahmah (Jay)
Tuesday July 23rd, 2002 10:30:32 PM

"I say! I believe Zeoll has a great idea here, revenge upon the beasts who killed his family! I'm all for a good fight, but I prefer the reuniting of the Islands even over the hell beasts. Before we do that though, we have to destroy most of the beasts, or more of us will be grieving as he is! Wait, where do they come from, a Hell Gate or Portal?"

The minotaur looks around. "Where's Kenisha, did she make it out of the war safe? And Kalon, what of him?"

Flat-top(Ceil)
Wednesday July 24th, 2002 12:44:39 AM

"Good question, Brahmah. When I entered the Land of the Dead. I was separated from all of you, I was among some of mighty fighters, wizard and others. But when everything was over and push into the Wold again. I was alone and just on the bridge to Heartkeep. Were any of you Taurs together when you entered the Land of the Dead??

Why not wait to see if we all reunite and then set off for those Hellhounds, I think Domi would have said "It's a Start of the Chosen to reunite the Islands" HE was far seeing don't you think.

Maybe Kenisha went with the Mertaurs? And Kalon followed her? Hey That would be nice to go to the wold under the Sea? What do you think?"

Cayzle
Wednesday July 24th, 2002 5:54:49 AM

Marilyn and I played in one of the Chat games. I think she posted at least once since then.

I'll be making a Web page with Chat logs and photos soon.

Marilyn aka Kenisha
Wednesday July 24th, 2002 8:06:49 AM

I'm still here, still trying to decide if I want to go with the Hand of Domi or not.

sam
Wednesday July 24th, 2002 8:58:53 AM

finally made it back on....sounds like its hellhounds

Jerry
Wednesday July 24th, 2002 9:59:01 AM

If you played in chat endgame 1 or 2 or in the WoldCon face to face version, you get half of a level in xp. Ex: if you were 10th level, it takes 10,000 to get from the start of 10th to 11th. Divide that by 2 and you'd get 5000 for the Endgame.

If you were not able to participate in any of our Endgame events, you get no xp for being in it, obviously.

----------

Now as to the idea of "Uniting the Taurs." You speak of this as if it's a module. It's not. It's the long range goal of this game. Everything you do as a chosen helps with this, whether it be fighting monsters, giving advice, setting an example, travelling and spreading the doctrine of Domi, being patient with Taurs that believe in racism, etc.

So do not think that we can simply say, ok now we're going to reunite them. It's not that simple. ;) That will take years and hopefully can be accomplished in your lifetimes.

--------
You must have been on the shore Flat-top. The bridges are gone. No trace of them.

---------

Marilyn, if you don't qualify due to FEats and Skills, etc. email me. I'll see if I can't help you get qualified for whatever PrC you choose.

Oh, BTW, although all Taurs are loyal to Domi, you may declare a second god to patron. Domi doesn't exist in a vacuum and Taurs should respect and even worship other Gods of Wold as his peers and friends.

------

I think I have enough now to go ahead with a module. If I can't use each idea, I've got them all written down and saved. Now all we need is for everyone to be sure I have your current character sheet. I'll probably send out the character sheet that is the most current to you so you can be sure I have the most recent one. :)

Leets
Wednesday July 24th, 2002 12:05:44 PM

Leets feels a little bit disapointed, although he is happy to see all his friends back.

"I don't remember much of the battle...I'm just glad to be here among you today."

"However, it sounds like Marteaus still walks the Wold, and so will his followers. With Domi back to lead us, we could unite our people in the holy war..."

Jay aka Brahmah
Wednesday July 24th, 2002 5:14:16 PM

Jerry, you have posted the table top version of the Engame XP (the face to face). What is the online live chat XP? Are we to assume that counts for both versions of the game?

Kenisha
Wednesday July 24th, 2002 7:14:37 PM

Kenisha lands on the beach of Heartshold and shakes her head to clear the cobwebs, then looks around. She smiles as she sees each of her fellow Taurs in turn. But the smile fades by someone she doesn't see.

"Where is Kalon? Anyone seen him?" she asks worried.

Brahmah
Thursday July 25th, 2002 2:35:55 AM

"The battle was a GREAT victory for us all!! The war has yet to come! How can we equal that? By hunting mere hounds, how bad can they be?"

Brahmah
Thursday July 25th, 2002 3:36:13 AM

"Leets, my friend. The person at the Catacombs said you should go in yourself and purchase the full plate. He said there isn't much call for centaur full plate!! Ha! He even looked at me like I was crazy! Here's yur money back by the way, everyone rushed off so fast to War, that I never got to return it!" Brahmah grins stupidly.

OOC: None of your gold is missing. :)

Kale
Thursday July 25th, 2002 8:42:24 AM

"Where did the bridges go?"

Flat-top(Ceil)
Thursday July 25th, 2002 5:29:57 PM

"I don't know, But when I jump into the New Wold, I landed in enought water to swim a shore. As for reuniting the Taur Island, that might take a long time. BUT I would be fun trying. As for Kalon, I last saw him entering into the land of the dead. As for me, I never look back." Flat-top hand the Tear of Domi to Kenisha, "Here, Take these Tears of Domi and put them in a shrine for all to see."

Flat-top turns to the Minotaurs, Weimic and other Centaurs and asks. "I have an Idea, Let's build a Tavern?"

Brahmah
Thursday July 25th, 2002 5:41:14 PM

Brahmah looks at Flat-top with great respect when he mentions building the Tavern.

"A Tavern?! What better way to begin Reunification of the tribes than with a simple Tavern!!! If we build it somewhere all the Islands can get to easily....." He trails off into muttering to himself. ".... wait, doesn't that cost money? I mean building a business." The minoTaur seems worried.

OOC:I love the Tavern Idea!!!! Let's stretch that idea a little further and say we could have a ship that goes from port to port that can double as a traveling Tavern... Just another idea from the mind of Jay. ;)
Besides, we need a ship, a crew and beer. What other way is there to cut overhead than by using one as another. :)

Brahmah
Thursday July 25th, 2002 5:47:27 PM

"A shrine to Domi. That's as good of an idea as the Tavern! The Taurs gave us tribute, what better way to show them our appreciation than giving them a Relic of our Domi."

OOC:How many tears are there?? If there are three, we may decide to give one to each of the tribes. If there is one... well, we could give it to the MerTaurs. :)

Kenisha
Thursday July 25th, 2002 10:49:56 PM

Kenisha laughs at Brahmah, "Mere hounds?! My dear sir, hell hounds are not 'mere hounds' by any account. I think the idea of going after these 'purgatory puppies' is a great idea."

"The idea of a ship is a good one and so is the tavern, as is the shrine. Hmmm..... could we roll all three into one? But Brahmah is right, it will cost. I spent my share of the tithe, but I'm all for the ideas. If we need to raise more capital, maybe we'll have to go exploring and find some lost treasures or something."

Kale
Thursday July 25th, 2002 11:08:16 PM

"I think they are called hell hounds because they are from hell. By the way, if there are no bridges how are we going to travel?"

Brahmah
Thursday July 25th, 2002 11:18:26 PM

Brahmah scratches his head.
"From hell, never thought of that!"

He looks at Kale and then at Kenisha. "Seems that we need a ship more than ever right now. I think we are farther ahead in the shrine department than any other idea. We have the Relics!"

The minoTaur considers the three plans. "I think Kenisha is right. We need more... capital. We could rent out our services as protectors, to merchant caravans or as dock gaurds. Or ship protection."

Brahmah
Thursday July 25th, 2002 11:28:49 PM

"I like the treasure hunt. It is the easiest way to make money.
Wait! The MerTaurs. Are they seeking their sunken City? Could we help them find their lost treasures?"

Cayzle (Out of character)
Friday July 26th, 2002 6:55:13 AM

In the Sunday chat game, I don't believe Zeoll ever lost the Heart Domi gave to the Taurs. But in the Live game Flat-top evidently gave it to Domi (and got Tears back from Him).

So do we have the Heart? Or is it gone? If we have it, is it beating as it did before Domi died?

Flat-top(Ceil)
Friday July 26th, 2002 11:12:13 AM

In the live game, we found Domi's grave. Then we dough at the grave site until we got the coffin out. There was Domi (DM Jerry), somebody laid on top of the His Body and life flowed into his body. At this point Domi ask for the his heart. Of course everybody there said the Taurs had it and Domi ask me if I had it with me (I pick up the clue that Flat-top was supposed to have it.) So Flat-top went into his hip pocket (saddle bags), Taken out the gold box and gave Domi his heart back. As for the tears of Domi, that happen when Domi's High Master or Friend was killed by Marteaus that Domi cried and the fight really heated up. When in the end and Domi broke off Marteaus arm (with the rings still on his fingers) and the void closing in on us. Flat-top went and saved Bill Troublefinder's body and pick up only two Diamond Tears of Domi. Flat-top jump onto the porch of the cottage, then into the house where the New Wold was forming and was told to jump and go back into the New Wold.
Now Zeoll, the answer to your questions are - No, we don't have the heart any more. Yes, It is beating in side Domi's Chest. And that is what happen.

Brahmah (Jay)
Friday July 26th, 2002 6:05:50 PM

Well, we have two Diamond Tears.
Perhaps when we create the Shrine to Domi, we can use those two Tears in a statue of Domi. We could use them as his eyes or mount them just below his eyes to symbolize that he cries for his people, the Taurs. :)
I'm good, I know. I know.
Please, no applause. ;)

Kale(Sam)
Friday July 26th, 2002 6:53:22 PM

"Well, those our FlatTop's Tears, not ours. She should do what she wants with them."

Brahmah (Jay)
Friday July 26th, 2002 7:55:25 PM

The minoTaur walks up to Kale and lays a massive hand on his shoulder.
"By no means, did I mean that he should give up such Artifacts to the Chosen! They are Relics of the Wold and for ALL Taurs. They are Flat-tops Relics to do with as he pleases! Yes? Domi has 'Chosen' Flat-top for a greater deed than just carrying his Tears. There's a reason Domi Chose Flat-top! The Shrine would NOT glorify US, Kale, it would Glorify DOMI! Do you have a problem with that!?" The minoTaur lowers his eyes and smiles intensely at Kale.

Kenisha
Saturday July 27th, 2002 1:07:55 AM

"Yes, Kale, they are Flat-top's and I think he's already stated what he'd like done with them. Let's not get into a hissy-fit here okay boys?" Kenisha says firmly, not liking the way the two taurs are facing off.

Jerry
Saturday July 27th, 2002 1:29:11 AM

Jay the xp is the same for all versions of the endgame.

----

Kale they were magically destroyed by the armies of Marteaus. Consider that a CDM change as well. They won't be back. :)

----

Kale, there is no longer any place called hell. Go read the new Woldology. :)

----

Cayzle, you still have the heart and it functions well.

----

Guys, I started writing the module on Wed. So we're past the brainstorming what we want to do stage. What I need now is your character sheets updated if needed and in by Monday. If we're missing several or they are not approved, we don't start. :)

----

Ceil, I don't remember you picking up any tears. Did you say you did that? Do you have a witness? [grin]

----

Brahmah (Jay)
Saturday July 27th, 2002 1:36:17 AM

The colossal minoTaur suddenly shrank to the size of a halfling.
"Sorry Kenisha, I was out of line, but Kale.... well, he said Flat-top should do what he wants with such Artifacts, Relics, whatever you want to call them!
I agree.
Domi has a higher purpose for them though, a Chosen was Gifted these Great Symbols! Flat-top is Domi's Advocate."

Zeoll the Lesser
Saturday July 27th, 2002 9:16:45 AM

Zeoll respectfully places the Heart on its pedastal in its former place at the center of Hearthold Keep.

"Therre," he says, "home at last!"

Flat-top
Saturday July 27th, 2002 9:30:14 AM

"Zeoll, Put these tears there too. For all to see." as Flat-top give the dimonds to Zeoll.

Yes, Dearest CDM Jerry, the withness is YOU. You said Yeah! Yeah! OK! But you were busy with Anthony and the forge, Then kicking Me back in the new world.

PS> Not much change but I have it ready for you this week end.

Jay
Sunday July 28th, 2002 12:21:06 AM

Hey all, I have a question.

When was the last time we all recieved xp as a group? Before Endgame... :)

Jerry
Sunday July 28th, 2002 1:57:53 AM

Good question Jay! ;)

----------

As of now, we're a long way from getting all our character sheets approved. No start on Monday without them in and approved. ;)

---------

As Taurs, be sure to read the entire writeup of the new Domi presentation. He's not big on temples and shrines anymore. :) Read to find out what he does like. ;)

Jay
Sunday July 28th, 2002 2:12:50 AM

Jerry, do you have my sheet?

Cayzle on the last time we got xp
Sunday July 28th, 2002 7:51:15 AM

Jerry sent this e-mail message on June 24:

I received an email from Carl today saying that experience was last given on April 16th. So I've done the xp for the Heart for the Heart of the Taur quest and 3 months gaming time and that amount will be 2000xp.

Since I don't know the hero points that have been earned during that time, I'm going to reward each player with two hero points which adds 50xp times your level for each one. At 4th level that would be 200xp X 2 = 400xp on top of that. At 5th level, that equals 250xp X 2 = 500xp on top of the base.

The hero points are computed at your level before today's xp.

Oh, and lest I forget, each of the governments and churches of the 3 races you represent have gotten together and sent you a tithe to reward you for the successful completion of the Quest to Resurrect the Heart of the Taur. Each race has sent you 14,000gp totalling 42,000gp. You can bet there was some fussing and complaining in some quarters to such a large tithe. So if you see important officials in the next few months and they look at your new rings and magic swords with derision, you might know why they are doing so. ;) (To save time, if you divide this up evenly with nothing going into a central group fund everyone will get 6,000gp.

Sam

Cayzle
Sunday July 28th, 2002 9:05:36 AM

Sorry to be confusing. Yes, we've already done that xp. I just meant to show that the last time we got xp was June 24. But as usual, I went on for longer than I needed to!

:-)

Monday July 29th, 2002 11:04:51 AM

OK, here's where we stand on sheets according to me.

Kale: No character sheet received with the new xp added. Not approved.

Flattop: received and approved.

Zeoll the lessor: received and approved.

Kenisha: received and have asked for corrections. Not approved.

Leets: nothing received with the new xp added. Not approved.

Ceira: Approved.

Brahmah: received, and changes asked for. Not approved.

We will start play when all are approved.

Jerry
Monday July 29th, 2002 11:08:35 AM

Well it looks like since I last gave sp in the middle of June, that I owe you one month. So everyone gets 667 xp for the last month of the YOA.

There is no need to resend your character UNLESS this puts you up a level. Just keep track of it and be sure that your sheet reflects it the next time you send it in.

Monday July 29th, 2002 12:40:57 PM

"OH! Boy! We've been approved. Come on Ceira Let's do to Pony Dance an wiggle out tails."

Ceira
Monday July 29th, 2002 10:07:01 PM

Ceira giggles with joy as her her nimble wemic form makes it easy to prance to and fro with Flat-top.

Jay (Brahmah)
Monday July 29th, 2002 11:11:24 PM

OOC:Sam, no worries. I've been harrassing Jerry all week. Your not the only one holding things up. ;)

My other game is going slow too.

Brahmah watches the wemic and centaur dance and just shakes his head and smirks.
"This is going to take some getting used to. Taurs dancing together, friends. I won't be caught dead dancing like THAT though." He says to Flat-top.

"Flat-top, come over here. I have something to tell you my friend. I don't believe I have told you or anyone else in this group this before." He beckons to his centaur friend.

Jay (Brahmah)
Tuesday July 30th, 2002 4:14:06 AM

OOC:Must play Taur game! Going through withdrawal! Arrggghhhh! Get in CS must do it now!!

Brahmah sits and stares at a wall.
"I'm soooooo bored, sooo bored, staring at the wall! This is no fun, no fun....." He turns to Flat-top. "Hey, lets spar! Please, just for fun, I won't hurt you I promise!! I won't even use my swords. Yeah, lets box!" He grins stupidly. :D "Pleassse!" The minoTaur is pathetic.

Flat-top
Tuesday July 30th, 2002 10:16:39 AM

"Excuse Me, My Lady Ceira, Our Bullish friend over there. His horn's are turning Green with envy. I'll be right back to do a Cha Cha with you." Flat-top kisses the Fair Ceira hand.

Trotting over to Brahmah, "Well! what this WE are bored, are we not? Well, send in your CS, and I'll let you punch me first, How's that?"

Jerry
Tuesday July 30th, 2002 11:24:46 AM

So if Taurs dance is it called the Taur Trot?

hehe.

-----------

all character sheets have been received now. Kale and Brahmah need to correct a couple of things and we'll be ready to begin.

Guess I ought to write the module huh? I've been so busy helping everyone else, I've slacked on my own game. :( No worries. YOu won't be held up by me. I've got this module writing down to a science. Did Game 5's module in about an hour. Did Game 6's in about an hour and a half. This will be my third one to write this week, not counting the 9 I've had to approve.

Brahmah, if you're bored go to town in the RWI! NO one will mind. [wicked grin] My character Onrad is there with swords draw even now! ;)

Jerry
Tuesday July 30th, 2002 6:35:21 PM

OK, all sheets are approved, except for Leets and Kale and they are working on them. :) So we're getting closer to ready to start. NO blame laid anywhere, it takes time to get them done and approved. I appreciate the patience you've all had and the quickness with which you've worked on all this.

Wednesday July 31st, 2002 7:47:31 AM

"Flat-top, my friend. I must tell you a short story I feel you must know.
Prior to being a Chosen, I could've cared less seeing a centaur or wemic die before my eyes. In fact, I might have even enjoyed watching them die. I'm not happy about my past or actions I took in haste against your people.
... I was very young, merely a calf in the eyes of the village. Let me see... yes, maybe 17 years in total was I. My father had heard stories one day about mother, rumor really. She was 'seen' in the arms other another. My father knew this to be untrue. They had had seven children together (I am the middle child, the fourth). Needless to say, pops wasn't happy. He found that the rumor had started with a single centaur sailor who, come to find out, had been rejected by mother. See, she was a bar maid in the village, and this centaur drank there when he was in port. He was unhappy and started the vicious rumor. Pops went and 'disgusted' the issue with the centaur sailor. Many sailors of the ship were sitting with him, outnumbering father seven to one. Well, father was no fool. He challenged the centaur to Kayleb, honorable combat fought on equal ground. Well, let's just say the centaur wasn't HONORABLE by any stretch of reckoning. See, it was only to be to first blood with daggers and light armor. Nothing else was to be used. When in the circle, father disarmed the Taur in a wink, no blood had to be spilled, or had been spilled. With the centaurs dagger on the ground, pops turned his back on him. The sailor had hidden a shiv in the sleeve of his armor where the officials had not looked. He stuck my father in the back having lost face to the crowd, he was a disgrace to all centaurs. Father died in a pool of his own blood by a single blow. With that blow, mothers honor and virtue were renewed, everyone watching knew in that moment.

I wanted for so long to find the centaur who killed pops. I eventually stopped looking for him and started picking fights with centaurs, any centaur. It didn't fulfill me like I thought it might. For every one that died, my grief continued. I eventually stopped caring about the grief and started working on a regular basis. Caravan gaurd for a wemic merchant, farmer (yes, a farmer) and finally a sailor, ironically enough.

Now, all my grief has returned. I feel guilty about killing your cousins or kin or what have you. I'm now Chosen and when I saw the three of you on the docks, I had to put aside my feelings. I knew Domi gave to me the strength to stay my sword, for you were Chosen too, and your fate lies with me.

I would happily lay my life down for any one of the Chosen, even a centaur. I've grown to love all Taurs. Even our new friends the Mers (MerTaurs)."
Brahmah grins at Flat-top, lays a hand on his shoulder, then walks off to contemplate and remember.

Good news! I have done a survey of all the DMs and we've decided to approve the Celestial Companion as the official Mount replacement for all Taur races!

To obtain a paladin's mount and it's stats, enter the BGC. ;)

"Brahmah, Don't go away I would like to tell you a few thing myself. I seems that we have a background almost the same. But now after all we went through, I can see why Domi had chosen you. Well, here's my story:
I was born the baby of the heard, better known as Flat-top the Runt. My sire was always disappointed in me, my sibling always blame me for everything, I always got the left overs and was told that I was ugliest one in the heard. I went to school and my teachers told me that I had a brain. My coaches told me to exercise and put some mussels on my bones. When I left school I entered the fighting sailors. I went up in ranks and at the age of 18, I was promoted to the Rank of The Royal Marines by the Head Stallion himself.

Well, one day we engaged in a fierce battle, and I fought with this Minotaur sailor. I though I was going to die, but he made one last lounge at me. I side swipe his sword and ran my cutlass through him. I don't know why I stood there watching him die. Later I found out that he was married only a few years and had only two calves.

Well, I found out where they lived, and sent then some gold pieces ever since. To this day I cannot figure as to why Domi chose me, But I can see why the Gods chose you. Well, that's my poor story, but if and when we do fight again, I'll be there next to you and the rest of these misfit Chosen. Well, I'll see you later." Flat-top trots off back to Ceira and Kenisha.

Yowzah! Kent says he's been having trouble sending me email. I have his corrected character sheet and have approved it. I've forwarded them to Kent and so we're awaiting word from him that we may begin.

I assume that this will happen today, so watch the board tonight. I hope to post my first post tonight.

Thanks for your hard work folks!

Yes, I meant you Sam. Well guys, I've finally got the module done for you guys. I liked your ideas of what you'd like to do, but somehow I was stumped as to how to make it interesting.

However, watching the news last night, I finally got an angle that works. I actually stood up out of my comfy chair and laughed out loud. I even picked up the phone to call someone and tell them about it when I realized I'd fallen asleep and it was like 1AM and the local news was repeating not live. Heh. I nearly woke DM Stephen of Game 5 up at 1AM. He'd have loved that.

Anyway, I will begin posting tonight. Heading over to send an email to everyone that we begin tonight. :)

Oh, and as promised, this module is less serious than those you've probably done in the past. Don't get me wrong, it will still challenge you and have serious elements in it, but it will also have things in it that, I hope, you just have to laugh at (or at least things in it that "I" laughed at when writing it). Every culture has a light side and a fun side...or at least what they think is fun. We'll see if you think it is fun too!

And just becasue most people think I must, here's the requisite

MUHAHAHAHAAAA!

to chill your bones.

Starting with my post tonight, this board once again becomes an IC (In Character) board only.
