The Roundup Festival

What's that I hear? (DM Janell)
Wednesday August 28th, 2002 12:29:54 PM

Zeoll talks with Rhasa as the rest of the Chosen try to get some much needed rest for the nights hunt. The cubs, disappointed that the Chosen have decided to get in a Taur nap, scamper off back to the fairgrounds to amuse themselves. Smiling as the cubs go tottering off, Rhasa seems a little distracted, but turns her attention back to Zeoll after a few moments. "What was that you were saying.....Oh, I wouldn't worry about it....it's just that some of males are jealous. Everyone has heard of the great deeds of the Chosen, and some of the warriors see that as a threat ." Rhasa beams up at Zeoll. "There is much to do before the hunt, but you must rest first. Then you really should head down to the festival before all the fun is over."

The Chosen's rest is interrupted after a few hours by the pitter-patter of little cub paws. Those inside rooms hear loud whispers of "When are they gonna get up?". Rhasa attempts to hold the young ones at bay, but it is not long before you are all awakened by the excited cubs. Obviously embarrassed, the liontaur apologizes. "I'm sorry, it's just that they're so anxious about the hunt...."

Rhasa bids you all to join her for lunch. As the mother bustles around filling plates, washing dishes, and picking up dropped toys, she chats with the Chosen. "You know, since you're up already, you might as well head down to the fairgrounds and join in on some of the games." Sheras' ears pick up at the prospect of the Chosen going to the fair. The small cub jumps up on Flat-Top's back and begins pouncing up and down as she chants "I get to go with the Chosen! I get to go with the Chosen!" Almost as an after thought, Sheras looks up at her mother shooting her a look of pure innocence. "Mamma, can I go to the fair with them? I promise I'll be good." Rhasa smiles warmly at her cub and lovingly lifts her off of Flat-Top's back. "Now dear, we don't even know if the Chosen are going to go to the fair. It's going to be a long night for them, and they might want to rest more." The young cub looks hopefully over at Flat-Top silently begging the Taur to join her at the festival.

Flat-top
Wednesday August 28th, 2002 4:07:26 PM

Flat-top was sound asleep when the young kitten entered the room and ask (in a loud Whisper) "ARE YOU AWAKE?" then jumps on Flat-tops back. "Hmm! Oh! Yes! OFF! I'm wide awake, how about you, Leets are you awake too?" Flat-top jabs Leets in the ribs. As Mother Rhasa lifts the Kitten off his back he tells her that he has to go outside for a few minutes, a nature call. and out the door he goes and into the fields runs around a couple times then next to the road, Flat-top seem to stand still for a minute or so. Then he gallops back to the Weimic's den. "OK! I'm hungry and ready to go to the Festival Grounds." Then he look up to the Mother and ask, "Who is going to look after the cubs when WE go Hellhound Hunting?"

To Leets and Zeoll he tell them, "I don't like the scent on the wind!".

Brahmah
Wednesday August 28th, 2002 4:33:04 PM

Waking up with a shot at the sound of the little ones, Brahmah stands and stretches. His age is a little more apparent than usual when he raises his massive arms to stretch, his spine and of various joints pop and crack as he moans.

Moving to talk to Kenisha, Brahmah expresses his concern.
"Uuuuhhh.... I don't think it's good idea for the young'uns to travel with us to the festival OR the Hunt. We protect, but we're better at it when we have no tag-alongs. I love the attention, but imagine what might happen if one of the cubs gets lost, we'd be responsible. I don't them along." Brahmah thinks for a moment. "But if you think they SHOULD come along, that's up to you Commander. Besides, if those males come around and try to start something, we'll need to have to defend the little'uns too."

Kale
Thursday August 29th, 2002 12:12:19 AM

pretty grumpy from being awaken, Kale says "Lets go back to sleep. If we are going to hunt down hounds from hell, I want to make sure we're all well rested."

Zeoll the Lesser
Thursday August 29th, 2002 6:41:13 AM

Zeoll catnaps for a few hours, and is refreshed when the cubs start their antics.

"Come, young ones! Let us enjoy the festival!" he says to the cub.

Overhearing Brahmah, the liontaur adds, "I agrree that the Hunt is no place forr young ones, but a Festival should be safe enough."

Brahmah
Thursday August 29th, 2002 6:47:07 AM

:::Shrugs:::

"Okay Zeoll, maybe your right. I just don't want them hurt during our watch." He grins weakly.

Kenisha
Thursday August 29th, 2002 7:29:43 AM

Kenisha smiles at the cubs' antics. "Come on Kale. The Festival will wake you up for the Hunt."

To Brahmah she says, "The Festival is for everytaur. The cubs will be safe there."

Leets
Thursday August 29th, 2002 1:45:19 PM

"Ha!? Hem? What?!" Says Leets suddenly standing up on his four legs. Quickly understanding the situation, he answers: "No of course I wasn't sleeping Flat-Top!" - When he feels more awake, he listens at Rhasa, and considers the cub : "What about you our young friend? You want to go to the Festival right? My mother would often bring me to the Festival when I was younger, there you'll see and learn many interesting things without even traveling!"

With a quick wink at Kenisha he adds: "We have to go there Kenisha, I mean, it is our duty, as the Chosens, to study the tradition of our wemics friends and get more familiar with their customs! No better place than a festival for that!"

Fun and Games (DM Janell)
Thursday August 29th, 2002 2:57:24 PM

Rhasa looks slightly amused by Flat-top's question. "What sort of mother would I be if I let my cubs stay up past their bed time?!" She chuckles. "Besides, the hunt is no place for children, but the festival is, as wise Kenisha has already said, for everytaur."

Sheras squeals with delight when a few of the Chosen state their interest in going to the festival. She rubs up against Zeoll's shoulder playfully, purring happily. "Oh Wowsy! We better hurry, we're gonna miss all fun." The little cub pounces over to Flat-top. "Mr. Flat-top, sir, can I ride on your back, pleeeease?"

Rhasa gives Kenisha a look of extreme gratitude. "Thank you for agreeing to take the cubs to the festival. It is such an honor to have great heroes like the Chosen here. You truly are as kind as the bards tell." Patting Sheras on the head, Rhasa goes over to a drawer and removes several small pouches. She hands them out to a few of the cubs. Adopting a stern, motherly tone Rhasa addresses the cubs. "There's only a few hours left until the announcement, and then the festival will close. I expect all of you back to your homes after the announcement." The last statement is met with several disappointed whines of "Awwww". Giving the cubs the look, Rhasa continues. "The Chosen will need time to prepare for the hunt after the festival, and there are still chores to be done, so no arguing." Rhasa scoops up Sheras and hugs her. "Be good little one. And remember, don't spend all your money at the first booth you come to."

A literal horde of cubs scamper off in the direction of the fairgrounds as the Chosen head out. Set up on the outskirts of the township of Velawia, the festival is well in progress when the Chosen arrive. Brightly colored booths litter the courtyard. Some appear to be various types of games and rides, while others are apparently food stands. As the Chosen and their army of cubs make their rounds through the grounds, Sheras acts as tour director. "Oooo, oooo, look...there's Pull the tail off of the Minotaur. Wowsy, will you look at the size of those chicken legs....oooo they smell so good! There's the Dunky tank. O Mister Flat-top, I'll bet you could beat everyone in that! Hehehe, there's the Hellhound Kissing booth. I'll bet Mister Kale could kiss one without getting burned. Cotton Candy! My favorite! Wowsy, the Twister! Mister Zeoll, I'll bet you'd be real good at that one! Hellhound sniffing....wow, with the size of your nose, I'll bet you'd find the hound in no time Mister Brahmah! Ooooo, Miss Kenisha, with a beautiful voice like yours, I just know you'd win at the Singing Hellhounds booth!" The little cub prattles on and on, almost nonstop.

Ok folks, might as well have some fun at the Festival while you're here. You may participate in any of the games listed above.----Janell

Brahmah
Thursday August 29th, 2002 3:35:34 PM

Looking around at all the games, Brahmah looks confused.
Kiss the Hellhound, Dunky Tank and (gag) Pull the Tail Off the Minotaur (this hurts, it shouldn't be a game; he thinks to himself as he remembers his missiing tail).
But regardless of his misgiving about the Tail game, Brahmahs curiousity gets the better of him. He wants to play the Tail game.
He bobs and weaves through herds of young taurs and town-folk to get to the game. Making it to the booth finally, the tailless minoTaur askes, with a goofy grin;
"So! how'dya play this silly game?"

Flat-top  d20=3 d20=4 d20=19
Thursday August 29th, 2002 4:51:29 PM

Flat-top put on his harness so that he can carry more than one kitten on his back, and while he's in the bedroom he also takes the small money pouch (knowing that he's going to give these little one the Festival that they will never forget).

"All right every body ready to go, hop on and hold on to the straps, Mr. Leets can carry some of you on his back also. Off to the Festival!" yells Flat-top but going a mild trot.

Arriving at the Festival Flat-top buys all the cubs in their party a Big Fat Chicken Leg, Cotton Ball Candy, KatNip Ice Cream and Fresh Fish on a Bun. "That should take care of your Appetite for a while. Now let's see how I do at the Dunky Tank. What is the cost? three rock for a gold piece? All right Here goes. First throw [3] a miss, the second throw [4] not much better still a miss, now for the third throw [19] a HIT! Hurrah! The Dunky got dunk (Ker-splash!)

On they went, one booth to another hoping to see Mr. Kale Kiss the Hellhound, Mr. Zeoll sniff the Hellhound, to watch Mr.Brahmah get the tail, But most of all to hear Miss Kenisha sing.

Leets
Thursday August 29th, 2002 4:51:32 PM

"After those troubled times, It's nice to see such a place of entertainment and joy. I can feel hope and life in the heart of all those Taurs here, there was so much hatred and violence recently, it's nice finally to have some peace..."

Leets trots to the cotton candy shop, and buys one for the young wemic.

" 'Wowsy!!!' Here is for you young Taur, from a centaur to a young wemic who'll build a better future..."

Kale  d20+6=20
Thursday August 29th, 2002 4:53:32 PM

after looking around at the carnaval and some of the games, Kale doesnt see any that interest him. so instead he finds a not too crowded corner and pulls out 8 gold coins. spreading out his robe so that it flows in the air Kale begins to flip the coins in the air, 4 in each hand, with a crooked smile on his face(pick pockets check of 20, thats the closest skill i can think of to do the fliping)

Kenisha  d20+4=20
Thursday August 29th, 2002 10:57:37 PM

Grinning as Sheras gives her running dialog of all the festival events, Kenisha purchases her own KatNip Ice Cream.

"Do we have to sing a specific song?" Kenisha asks the cubling while trying to keep her cone from dripping all over the place. "Or can we sing anything we like?"

ooc: if it is anything here's what Kenisha sings (it's a Traditional folk song). Perform skill=20.

ic:

Kenisha clears her throat and blushes a little before starting to sing.

"What will we do if we have no money
Oh, true lovers, what will we do then?
Only walk through the town for a Hungary crown
And we'll yodel it over again

What will we do if we marry a tinker
Oh, true lovers, what will we do then?
Only sell a tin can and walk on with me man
And we'll yodel it over again

What will we do if we marry a soldier
Oh, true lovers, what will we do then?
Only handle his gun and we'll fight for the fun
And we'll yodel it over again

What will we do if we have a young daughter
Oh, true lovers, what will we do then?
Only take her in hand and walk on with me man
And we'll yodel it over again"

Ceira
Friday August 30th, 2002 2:33:23 AM

With a mischievious grin, Ceira eyes the Pin the Tail on the Minotaur game. She looks around for some kind of sticky paste (OOC: possible?) and replaces the pin on the fake tail with the sticky substance. She whispers to one of the cubs and suggests sticking it on Brahmah's rear end.

Fun Times All Around (DM Janell)  d20+2=18 d20+1=5 d20+1=7 d20+1=3 d20+1=10
Friday August 30th, 2002 2:25:02 PM

Brahmah heads over to the Pull the Tail off the Minotaur booth. The large, muscular liontaur who runs the booth breaks out laughing when Brahmah asks him how to play. "Well, sir, it would appear that you must have been the subject of this game once before!" In between chuckles, the taur explains that once blindfolded, you are spun around several times. Then you are lead over to a very crude minotaur mannequin, and grope around, trying to locate the tail (roll straight d20 vs. DC10 to succeed). Barely able to control his laughter, the booth owner blindfolds Brahmah, spins him around, and guide him toward the mannequin. Spurred on by Ceira, a small cub darts into the booth, removes one of the spare "tails", and brings it back to her for doctoring. Once prepared, the cub gleefully stalks the blindfolded Chosen, and slaps on his hind quarters. A chorus of laughter brakes out from the surrounding cubs.

Meanwhile, Flat-top has a fun time spoiling as many cubs as he can and then amuses himself at the Dunky tank. A adolesent liontaur sits in the dunky tank, and looks rather surprised when Flat-top begins throwing "rocks" (actually dirt filled bags) at the target. Suddenly submerged, the liontaur "dog" paddles around in the water, trying to keep his head above the water. He manages to do so for a few minutes, and just as his head dips below the surface, he is pulled out of the water by two adult liontaurs. The smile approvingly at the youngster as they hand him a small stuffed rabbit. "Not bad, not bad. You lasted longer than most would." Sheras giggles at Flat-top. "I'll be you could swim longer than him in the dunky tank." Flat-top notices that it seems like the object of the booth is not so much to dunk the person in the dunky tank, but more for the person in the dunky tank to be able to survive in the water the longest.

In the meantime, Kale entertains some of the older, adolescent taurs who watch his juggling with fascination. One of the more bold lads reaches out a hand, and tries to catch one of the coins in mid air, but misses.

A little later, Kenisha and Sheras head over to the Singing Hellhounds booth together. Sheras explains that you don't really sing...you howl like a dog and try to see who can get the hellhound to bay first. Several other liontaurs stand at the booth, and behind a curtained area set up on the stage, one can hear the rustling of what you assume to be a caged hellhound. One after another, the liontaurs attempt to howl, but the clamor sounds strange coming from liontaur mouths, and apparently, the hellhound is not convinced. Kenisha steps forward and gives it her best shot (went ahead and used your performance roll from above). A long, loud howl sounds from behind the curtain area. The booth owner smiles at Kenisha and hands her a beautifully beaded head band.

Sheras and the other cubs positively glow from all the attention paid to them by the Chosen. They follow them around from booth to booth each vying for the heroes attention.

Ok folks, one more day of fun and games, and then Monday will be the announcement. So have fun, and get ready to rumble next week.----Janell

Kale
Friday August 30th, 2002 5:06:55 PM

after a few more minuets of flipping his coins, Kale flips them all out into the crowd, one at a time. then he wanders around, trying to find something to eat

Brahmah  d20=6
Saturday August 31st, 2002 5:43:24 AM

The minoTaur gets sninned and spinned, then tilts a bit from dizziness, but soon rights himself.

Satisfied with his tail placing, he pulls off the blindfold. He pouts for a moment then shrugs.
(DC 6)

He blissfully walks away from the booth with 'his new tail' securely attached to his rump.

Zeoll the Lesser  d20=5
Saturday August 31st, 2002 6:16:02 AM

At first, Zeoll is happy to just take in the sights and sounds of liontaurs at play. "It has been too long since I was home," he thinks.

He is especially entranced by Kenisha's song. "We'll make a barrd of you yet, sweet-tongued Kenisha!" he tells her.

Finally, Zeoll the Lesser says, "What the hey!" and tries the Twister. Whatever that is, he does his best [unmodified d20 roll is a 5].

Flat-top
Saturday August 31st, 2002 2:38:24 PM

Flat-top scratches his head, "I'd love to my sweet little ones, but you see once I'm in the tank and time for me to come out. How would I do that? No ramps for me to walk out, A centaur cannot climb the sides or a rope? there's no way out. Other wise I would teach each and every one of you how to swim. Look there's Zeoll the great and hes about the play with his Twister!" "Hey Guys,"yells Flat-top, "Lets watch Zeoll and let's buy these little one a Chocolat Mouse!"

Kenisha  d20=19
Sunday September 1st, 2002 9:14:17 AM

Kenisha laughs as the hellhound responds to her own baying. She oohs and aahs over the headband and immediately puts it on, making sure her five white braids lie over it.

To Zeoll's comment she laughs and says, "More likely it shows just how sharp-tongued I am, I made the hellhound cry."

She joins Zeoll over at the Twister booth and gives at shot at it too. (unmodified roll of 19).

To Flat-top she says, "See if they have any chocolate covered pickles while you're over there, please? I could really go for one." She pauses for a moment and realizes what she's said and grins wildly.

Flat-top
Monday September 2nd, 2002 7:20:00 AM

"You want WHAT??" Wonders the fighter, "All right I'm going. Come little ones Let's go get those chocolate coved Mouse and what ever Lady Kenisha wants." Off they all go, Flat-top never knew that there was so many Cubs, when it came to food. After the cubs had their treat, They seem to disappear.

Back he joins Kenisha, "Here's your Chocolate Covered Pickle. I really don't know. . .Why. . .You. . .(heavy pause) Are you all right, is the Colt all right? You Both are all right? That That means Kalon family line will go on. I'm happy for you." Flat-top kisses Kenisha cheek.

Ceira
Monday September 2nd, 2002 2:29:50 PM

Ceira's stomach growls in response to spotting Kale wandering amongst the booths full of food. "He has the right idea." she says to herself. "Once I head off, it'll be back to those dry rations." She skips along after Kale in search of food. Particularly some form of meat on a drumstick.

Brahmah
Tuesday September 3rd, 2002 2:47:43 AM

Brahmah gets tired of playing games, then heads off to find Kenisha. He still has the game tail attached to his rump, he hasn't noticed.
He reaches the Leader and askes what's on his mind.

"So! when we headin' out on the hunt? I'm getting bored." He grins. "I'm eager for action. I want to see these 'Hell Hounds'."

May I Have Your Attention Please?!!!! (DM Janell)
Tuesday September 3rd, 2002 3:01:58 PM

Brahmah doesn't even come close to pulling the tail of the mannequin, but is unwittingly the recipient of a new tail. This causes the brawny liontaur running the booth to brake out in uncontrollable laughter as Brahmah walks away. As soon as he is able to compose himself, the liontaur pounces over to the minotaur and hands him a necklace with bright colored beads. "For you valiant effort" the taur says as he hands the prize over to the Chosen.

Kale's action is met by a down and out brawl amongst the adolescents as they fight for the coins. A few moments later, the group brakes up, as a few of the wemics strut off with their prizes, while more than a few lick minor looking wounds. As he heads over to the concession area, Kale thinks he spots the liontaur that tried to grab one of the coins earlier. The youth grins as he passes by with not one, but two golden coins in his hand.

While waiting in line for the Twister, Zeoll watches as the youngsters in front are loaded into a strange contraption that tosses them in the air above a soft pile of hay. The goal seems to be to twist your body as you fly through the air and manage to land on your feet. Zeoll's turn comes, and the attendants load him into the device, and fire him into the air. Twisting and turning agilely, Zeoll finds that gravity is not on his side, and lands on his side with and "Oof" as the breath is knocked out of him.

Sheras pouts a little when Flat-top declines becoming the Dunkee, but quickly recovers when the good hearted centaur mentions buying Chocolate Mice.

The attendants take one look at Kenisha, and politely decline to load her onto the Twister. Patting her large belly, they hand the mother to-be a brightly colored feather. "For the little one when he grows up." is all that they say.

It takes Flat-top hours to find a place that is actually willing to smother a pickle with chocolate, but the determined warrior is finally able to convince a rather skeptical looking wemic as he points out Kenisha. Winking as he hands the "delicacy" over to Flat-top, the liontaur says "Best of luck to you....if she's anything like my wife was, she'll have you hunting down all sorts of strange food combinations!" As if in response to Flat-top's question, the colt kicks so hard that you spot a tiny hoof sticking out of Kenisha's side for a few seconds.

Ceira has no problem locating drumsticks, but spends a few minutes trying to decide between all the choices.

Time passes quickly as the Chosen enjoy themselves at the Festival. As the sun begins to dip below the tree line, one by one, the booths close. The grizzald liontaur who showed you to your quarters escorts you to a large stage set up at the front of the grounds. The roar of the large gathered crowd makes it hard to make out what the old taur says as he ushers you up the stage, but you're able to make out something about "a great honor" and "joining the hunt." The liontaur pounds an official looking staff on the stage several times in a vain attempt to quiet the crowd. Finally he resorts to shouting. "MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!" The crowd quiets, and the wemic continues in a slightly lower tone of voice. "The time of the hunt draws near. As all of you know, this year we are honored to have the company of the Chosen." The crowd roars once again, and the elder waits for it to settle once more. "We will now have the drawing to determine which clan will be privileged to participate in the hunt with the Chosen. " There is a brief pause, then a sandy linotaur adolescent brings a sheet of paper over to the elder. His eyes narrow for a few seconds in what might be seen as distaste before he addresses the audience once more. "The clan of Sandifurr has been chosen." Sheras beams and pounces up and down on Flat-top in excitement at the announcement.

After a few moments of intense congratulations and good luck wishing by the hoards of taurs nearby, you are able to fight your way through the crowds and back to your previous lodging. Rhasa meets you at the door, and makes sure that all of the cubs find their way back to their homes. Beaming radiantly, Sheras introduces you to her father Rhirehan and her brother Ybirard. "Wowsy, I can't believe you'll be hunting with Daddy and Ybi!"

There are still a few hours left until the hunt begins, and the Chosen are bid to prepare themselves. Rhasa busies herself with putting the cubs to bed. When she returns, she pulls Kenisha over to the side looking more than a little concerned. "I hope you don't mind me asking, dear, but are you sure that you want to go out on the hunt? I mean, in your present condition and all, perhaps it would be better if you stayed behind." As the girls chat, Rhirehan takes the time to acquaint himself with the Chosen, regaling them with stories from previous hunts.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, I know you've been very patient. Tomorrow the hunt begins. Don't worry, you will be well rested, and have plenty of time to make the preparations you feel are needed.----Janell

Ceira
Tuesday September 3rd, 2002 3:46:04 PM

(OOC: How much longer before she is due?)

"As long as I'm around, she'll be fine." Ceira adds with a wink. "Afterall, she and I usually remain in the back to throw spells."

Kale
Tuesday September 3rd, 2002 5:56:31 PM

Kale spends most of his time sharpening his sword and re stringing his bow. "Evenyone acts like this is some celebration." Kale tells Flat-Top "But I have a feeling we're walking into a situation we wont be able to handle."

Brahmah, The Bead Bearer
Tuesday September 3rd, 2002 7:58:22 PM

Brahmah happily puts the prize on and wears it with pride, regardless of its appearance. He thanks the liontaur for the gift and asks curiously;
"I did so poorly, why do I get a prize?"

Heading off toward the Chosen with his new tail fastened to his backside and his brightly colored prize decorating his massive neck, Brahmah hears Kale speaking to Flat-top.
"Kale, my friend, your always so negative. And besides, you should know me well enough by NOW to know that I do NOT take combat or even Hunts lightly!" For the first time the minoTaur looks sympathic at Kales concerns. "Look at all of those young'uns out there. Don't make them think the Chosen are cowards, we're NOT. I know you aren't and you know I'm not. We are Chosen, regardless how the odds are against us, we always manage through the worst and come to the better." The ex-sailor places a hand on the rogues shoulder. "Remember the Temple and the betrayal of Ludlow, that was weighed against us and we survived."
Turning from his conversation with Kale, Brahmah listens to the stories of previous Hunts for strategies that may have been used and what worked better than others.
He asks Rhirehan, "Are these dogs immune to anything? I've heard stories, but I'm not sure what is right. Is it true they are as silent as a gliding owl right before it strikes? Is it true that they grow when they're in fire to twice their normal size?" The minoTaur seems as inquisitive as the young'uns. "CAN they FLY?!" He seems worried and is genuinely scared at his own question.

Flat-top
Tuesday September 3rd, 2002 9:12:12 PM

A the end of the events and on the way home, Flat-top carries a few on his back and another in his arms. "This is what Domi meant when he said we are the ones to bring the Islands together. We start with the children, Now let's go and prepare to fight."

When they got to the den, and turned over the children to Mother Rhasa, "Ahh I see my package has arrived." Flat-top opens the box and shows everybody the what look to them a fancy pair of horse shoes."Beautiful arent they, made by the great smith Master Oreson Ironheel himself." Flat-top puts on the Hooves Knuckles, "Now these will give them a kick in the face."

Facing Kale and Brahmah, "As long we are together We'll always come up on top. That is what I beleive."

Kenisha
Tuesday September 3rd, 2002 10:24:38 PM

(ooc still working on the pregnancy stuff, but obviously long enough into it for the foal to be kicking! LOL)

Kenisha takes the offered feather and thanks the attendants. "I shall wear it until the foal's first hair-cutting. It will be a wonderful gift to braid into the hair." She then carefully tucks the feather into the end of one of her white braids.

Kenisha oofs loudly when the foal kicks her side. "Now, now little one, kicking isn't polite." she jokingly says down at her flank.

In response to Rhasa and Ceira she says, "Maybe I should stay here. Hunting these hellhounds sounds dangerous enough without you guys needing to guard me. Still before you go, I can cast some useful spells on you all. The Strength of the Bull and Mage's Armour could be very usefully for the hunt. Both of those will last for hours. Who wants either or both of them?"

Kenisha, you may join the hunt if you wish...I'm not trying to hint at anything.----Janell
