The Island. (DM Jim) Friday August 29th, 2003 1:46:26 PM
Having reached the waters edge, you all relax just a little. The feeling of peace eases the tension and some of the weariness in your bodies. Brahmah tells you all to stay put for a few as he take to wing again to check out the situation.
Slowly circling the island he notices that it is truely an island surrounded by water. The only way onto it or off of it is by the bridge or swimming. Unlike the rest of the swamp the island is covered with what appears to be soft grass, though well taken care of. The tree is well over fourty feet high, very large in diameter and very old. There are no tracks on the island that you can see on the ground. Despite the trees age it is still healthy and very green, no leaves have fallen from it yet. Several well manicured bushes grow close to the tree and appear to be heavy with berries. Flying over the water area you notice the fish, they are of varying sizes from four inches long to over three feet*think carp*. What surprises you most is that they are not all the same color, but many colors swimming together.
Vasch gets his leeches removed with a little help. While he is getting help with that Kenisha tries to check over Domisha, who wants to play. Finding no leeches on her daughter she turns her attention to other matters.
Vasch having been deleeched pulls out his bow and looks to the fish. After four shots into the water he sees three fish slowly rise to float on top of the water.
Domisha bolts for the log-bridge with everyone occupied with new matters. She is laughing as she goes and make it about four feet out onto the bridge before you notice or catch her.
Brahmah(flying) Friday August 29th, 2003 4:46:54 PM
Brahmah gets very upset with Vasch for killing the fish. "You know, if the beings who take care of and groom this island return and their fish are on a spit over a fire, they may not be very happy. The fish maybe a holy thing or of some sort of significants. I understand the hunger Vasch, I'm hungry too. Put the bow away." He says with a stern but understanding look on his face. "Let's wait a minute before crossing. Kale or Kanchana should look at the place closely. I'll fly you over so we o not risk the log bridge."
(OOC: I'm trying to get as much use out of the wings of flying that I can before conversion rips them from me. :( )
Flat-top d20+4=21 d20+6=19 Saturday August 30th, 2003 7:36:55 AM
Flat-top tell Brahmah To take the rest of the party to the Island, "I'll take the bridge. Just to see what happens, besides Vasch want some fish to eat."
Flat-top will take th bridge (from the swamp side going to the Island) Looking and listening all the way ready for anything.
ooc: Listening 21 - Looking 21.
Vasch d20+3=17 d20+7=18 Saturday August 30th, 2003 4:53:48 PM
"The care-takers probably consider everything in the swamp as holy, but I'm also sure they understand hunting and its place in life. I don't think three fish is excess." Vasch says in response to his scolding from the Captain with the same stern look. "It is an opportunity that doesn't come often. When it happens I will take it."
Vasch eats one while Kale and Kanchana check the log bridge and uses a strip of bark from one of the small sapplings to tie the other fish for later consumption.
When Brahmah gives the OK, Vasch will take the log bridge.

Kenisha and Domisha d20+3=23 Sunday August 31st, 2003 11:13:44 PM
Kenisha, busy checking herself for leeches (Search=23), doesn't spot what her daughter is doing until there she notices that the laughter is not as loud. Looking around, she shreiks when she sees Domisha four feet out onto the bridge.
Quickly, she trots over to the end of the bridge But Domisha thinks this is a game and gambols another three feet down the log.
"Somebody quick! Before she falls off!" Kenisha shouts to the others while pointing at her child.
Vasch Monday September 1st, 2003 12:24:28 AM
"DOMISHA!" Vasch gives a great yell-roar towards the child.
Kanchana d20+4=7 d20+3=12 d20+5=19 d20=20 Monday September 1st, 2003 1:35:16 AM
Kanchana is searching the area around the island and is making her way towards the bridge when she hears the commotion.Tearing her eyes off of the multi-hued fish her gaze snaps to the bridge. Kanchana was trying to 'sense' if anything was out of place. She was also searching for anything dangerous, but isn't much use in finding traps. She looks to see who is closest to the bridge, and then walks towards it. "Domisha, go back to MaMa. This is not playtime. I think that maybe you would rather have some food and look at the pretty butterflies by MaMa," Kanchana says soothingly to Domisha; trying to be as persuasive as possible.

Brahmah (flying) Monday September 1st, 2003 2:41:13 AM
Brahmah, having just finished his offer to fly the Chosen over, notices Domisha crossing the log. He doesn't say a thing or yell at the Child because it may cause her to fall or turn and slip. The Captain swoops down and lifts Domisha up under the arms and waist. He moves back Kenisha and lets the child down. "Here's ma. Silly girl."
Taric Tuesday September 2nd, 2003 3:45:41 AM
Taric stays close to the others, captivated as he is by this magical place of serenity in the middle of a swamp. So full of opposites this island seems to be compared to the swamp. He wonders who might be the caretakes of this little place of paradise.
Flat-top Tuesday September 2nd, 2003 8:42:01 AM
Flat-top crosses the bridge, very glad that somebody as gotten Domisha. Goes to Leets telling him "You know some times I don't know why Domi chose me? I know that Domisha is very special, and the Calf we are looking for is very special, Domi told us in a dream. But I'm a Fighter of Domi! A protecter with a Morning Star and Sword! Not a Baby sitter. Tell me Leets, am I losing my faith? Is Domi testing me?".
The Other Side and Vrurt. (DM Jim) Tuesday September 2nd, 2003 2:02:59 PM
There is a great uproar as everyone notices that Domisha is currently out on the bridge, a fair piece out on it. Vasch's roar scares the little girl and she wobbles on the bridge as she tries to keep her footing. Just as she is about to fall of, Brahmah comes swooping in and scoops her up. She pulls on his nose as they fly back to land near Kenisha, who smothers her daughter in her arms.
Seconds after landing you notice that Brahmah's wings have transformed into a giant butterfly attached to his back. With a swift motion the butterfly kisses him on the cheek and flies away.
Now you know that it is time to cross the bridge as Brahmah had not had enough time to get you across. You once again feel the serenity of this little area and wonder about it some. You get across with no problems as if your feet are guided. Once across you see a from detach herself from the trunk of the tree and stride towards you. "You are welcome to partake of the peace here." It is a young woman dressed in an almost see through gauze dress. Her hair has a leafy texture and her big almond eyes draw you in. "What is it that you seek here?"
Flat-top Tuesday September 2nd, 2003 3:13:52 PM
Flat-top made it across the bridge, and start to look around, When he sees to his suprize?? a woman with beautiful eyes and a see through Dress, Flat-top tries to reply "Err! WoW! Abba! No No! I I I mean, Boy is it hot in here??. Flat-top makes motion for Leet to come over.
Flat-top tell Leet "Err! You tell her." and wips his brow.
Brahmah d20+7=18 Tuesday September 2nd, 2003 5:30:52 PM
Rather surprised at the wings departure, he stands watching them fly away. After crossing the bridge, Brahmah notices the dryad (I think)(knowledge nature 18) step out of the tree. "We are the Chosen of Domi, I am Brahmah. We seek a minotaur female with a newborn child of special provenance, very unique to the WOld. Have you seen anyone of that likeness around her?" He pauses a moment trying to avoid staring though her dress. "I'm sorry about your fish."
After a few minutes speaking to the fey, Brahmah opens a bundle labled 'CC' on it. He removes a large curved dagger strapping it on his thigh. Then removing an iron scroll case and wand from the cloth, he ties them to his belt. Lastly he places a familiar Falchion back into his scabbard but knicks his hand in the process. "Ow. Nice!" He says smiling.
Vasch d20+3=23 d20+5=14 d20+9=16 Tuesday September 2nd, 2003 8:06:31 PM
"Thank Domi, she's safe." Vasch says after Brahmah makes his grab of Domisha.
Vasch heads across the fallen tree as careful as possible not wanting to end up in the water. After reaching the otherside he sees the beautiful woman dressed in near nothing. Trying to come up with something to say all he can muster is a little drool and some purring.

Kenisha and Domisha Tuesday September 2nd, 2003 8:49:15 PM
Kenisha doesn't let go of her daughter for a second. She's too scared out of her wits still. Once on the other side she is amused to find some of the "boys" fumble over their tongues over the woman.
(ooc-What race is she?)
Kanchana d20+7=27 d20+3=5 Wednesday September 3rd, 2003 1:50:24 AM
Kanchana crosses the log with difficulty; she was shocked by the butterfly thing. Her eyes widen as she sees the lady step from the tree. "A Tree Guardian?" she asks herself lowly, disbelieving this amazing occurence. Gazing in awe at the woman Kanchana lets Brahmah do the talking. Kanchana feels almost giddy at being so near what she is sure is a Dryad.
(Wilderness Lore 27, Balance 5)
((OOC: I think that the lady is a Dryad (could maybe be a Nymph too??); hope I am not mistaken. I am working on conversion to 3.5 but am having one hell of a hard time can anyone help me with what skills merged with what, or were removed from the skills list? e-mail: eunice@doucet-lorang.com , any help will be greatly appreciated!))
Leets Wednesday September 3rd, 2003 2:33:53 AM
As Leets makes his way on the strange little island and seeing little Domisha in the arms of the flying Brahmah, he listens at Flat-Top with concern, glancing at his friend with strange eyes, half smiling and half curious...
"You know Flat-Top I was recently thinking of the time we had at the Surefoot Vineyard, just after meeting...This purple cyclop monster and all, it was really funny...."
"And now, all is so serious...Once we just had to investigate about the troubles our fellow Taurs were having, just to help. It was easy to see what Domi wanted us to do."
Leets gets a tender look at Domisha, simling at Kenisha's child.
"Now, people want to kill babies. I thought a part of evil had left the Wold after the war agaisnt Marteau and Domi's return. Now I have doubts."
"We should be uniting the Taurs, but it looks like all are turning away from us. Flat-Top, I'm a little bit lost too, and I pray Domi every minute to get a ray of light in this dark time. The only answer I get is that those children, both Domisha and Vrurt's child, carry far much more on their shoulders than we thought."
"This is, Flat-Top, why we must take care of them...As for the way we can do it, well, you know I was a shepard before Domi called me! It just sounds like it's not what we are that is important, but what we do..."
Suddenly, Leets see the giant butterfly flying away from Brahmah's back.
"Hey...Am I the only one thinking there are strange things happening here?!?"
Then the woman appears near the tree, and Flat-Top pushes Leets forward.
Leets wipes his hand on his tunic (that is covered with mud and unknown things), looks at his palm but still holds his hand at the woman..
"Well...Uh...Madam, I'm Leets Talric of the Talric tribe, and we are searching for a Minotaur mother with her newborn child...Well Brahmah already said it, he's our leader you know, and he also had a giant butterlfy a couple of seconds ago, maybe you saw it, or our Minotaur friend, it would be more interesting for us because...Oh! The butterfly was interesting too, but...Oh! Brahmah, explain her, please!"
Leets comes back by Flat-Top's side and gently sends his elbow in the warrior's stomach...
"You'll pay for this" he whispers, joking but still smiling at the woman.
Taric Wednesday September 3rd, 2003 2:47:57 AM
Taric follows the others to cross the bridge and stands gazing around at the island. When the lady steps out of the tree Taric feels himself coloring quite red. He wisely keeps his mouth shut. When he sees the chance, after a polite nod towards the lady, he pretends to be studying the rest of the island, looking away from the lady.
Brahmah Wednesday September 3rd, 2003 3:35:00 AM
The Captain ponders the meaning of everything that is happening, as he absent-mindedly fiddles with Zeoll The Greater's feather which still remains braided in the minotaurs thick hair.
"Courage and Faith, Leets. That's what sets us apart from the rest of the Taurs. I see the Children of Domi as the answer, but not the solution. Other taurs need to see what the Children stand for, more taurs like Tarvic and his group."
"We should seek out the other Children of Domi around the islands. See if these are the first ones of their kind. Don't you think, Leets? I've made it my personal mission to protect these Children. What say you Leets?" Brahmah smirks and snickers. "Just came up with a semi-respectible name for these Children..... UniTaurs, perhaps DomiFolk. Better than 'abominations!'."
"The butterfly?.... I couldn't tell ya. My wings are gone though, in place of it was that bundle I just opened."
Flat-top Wednesday September 3rd, 2003 3:23:42 PM
Flat-top now feel ashame for questioning Domi. "I guess your rightLeets, It's now about me, OFFF! I get the point Leets." Then the sugestion of Brahmah calling these special 'Uni'taurs' "Yes Thats what they are the real all united taurs. But I still think the lady Like Brahmah!." smiled Flat-top as he rub his stomack.
A Chance Meeting. (DM Jim) Wednesday September 3rd, 2003 3:43:51 PM
The dryad smiles and lets out a little peel of laughter at the males reactions. She moves a little closer and takes Leets hand in both of hers. "A follower of Domi are you not...and a paladin as well." Her eyes grow larger as she releases your hand and then waves her hand to indicate her island. "This is a refuge for those that have lost thier way or need a place to hide or meditate." She smiles again as Brahmah apologizes about the fish and shakes her head. "It is a natural circle...more will be born." Turning to Vasch she points tot he fish that he has left. "Waste not...want not."
Glancing back to you once she motions you to follow her around to the other side of the tree. There hidden by the bushes is a large hollowed out spot in the tree and inside is Vrurt, gently rocking her baby. "Vrurt dear...these people are here to help you." The dryad motions to The Chosen and then moves to the side. Vrurt's eyes grow large for a few seconds till what the dryad said sinks in and she relaxes, but you notice that she is likely to bolt if the wrong thing is said. Laying her small hand on Brahmah's arm, the dryad motions him away from the others. "I have someone for you to meet...he has been waiting for you here." She leads him to a small area of the island with a small tree growing on it, perched on one of the low branches is a golden eagle. It spreads it's wings and they catch the light, they turn almost to a pure bright gold that hurts you eyes some. The head swivels and you both meet eyes, you feel a joining of sorts. It as if you have always know each other. The eagle takes to wing and then flies straight towards you. It is only later that you notice the dryad is gone.
Little Domisha has wiggled free of her mother's grasp and runs over to the dryad, who smiles down at her. With an ease and grace she scoops up Domisha in her arms and cuddles her. "Such a cute child." Then with a gasp as she looks into the little ones eyes, tears appear in her eyes. "Such a destiny between the two." If asked she will not elaborate anymore on what she said.
[I was told to let you guys know that you can make the changes that you can to you characters to make them 3.5 and send them to me. Updates later as the Taurs are made 3.5 ready can be done later. This will allow for the continuous flow of the game.]
Vasch d20+9=14 Wednesday September 3rd, 2003 11:02:57 PM
"Fear not, these beauties won't be wasted." Vasch says pointing to the two remaining fish.
Vasch's mood lightens knowing they've found Vrurt and her child safe. "The future." he says to himself.
He keeps one eye towards the swamp, just in case, and the other on the future of the taur.
(spot DC14)
Flat-top Wednesday September 3rd, 2003 11:53:42 PM
Flat-top follows the Dryad around the tree, once he looks on this beautiful, Flat-top remembers the Dream. So he goes into the back pack and bring out a beautiful dagger with a signble of Domi engraved on it. "Here is a gift for the baby, and my pledge to protect him from harm. As My Domi told me to proteck these two wonderful Uni'Taurs". Flat-top will let the next Taur visit the Speical Baby.
But Flat-top will follow with the others males to watch the golden Eagle.
Taric Thursday September 4th, 2003 1:34:01 AM
Taric follows to where Vrurt was hiding and hands her and the baby his drawing. The drawing of hope and faith in the future, where all taurs could live together. Afterwards he will stand aside and drink in the peace and serenity of the island, trying to enjoy it as much as he can as he realizes they soon will have to face the swamps again.
Leets Thursday September 4th, 2003 2:13:38 AM
"I agree, Brahmah, that we should seek for other children of Domi...I hate the idea that one of them could be endangered..."
"As for the role of those children...Well, with the dangers we have faced all together, we've already seen some of our friends fall..."
Leets glances at Zeoll's feather sadly, but still smiles.
"I know there could be others falling, me, you, or anybody else. Another generation of Taurs will have to take our place sooner of later, and it could be those children..."
"Until this, I told it, swore it and repeat it now. None will hurt those children as long as I live."
Laying his hand on Brahmah's shoulder, Leets moves his head at Vrurt who suddenly appeared.
"It looks like we also have answers to our prayer...Follow the woman, we will all take care of Vrurt and her child..."
"And by the way, Unitaurs sounds nice, it reminds me of the Unicorns my mother talked about."
Just after Taric and Flat-Top, Leets bows before the child and Vrurt.
"I come in Domi's name to protect the holy child, and offer a present."
Leets unsheathes his sword, and offers it, bowing his head, knees on the ground.
"Once my mother gave me this sword, to uphold Domi's valor and go on her own holy quest."
"Today the quest is mine, and has been growing like a flowering tree that was once only a seed."
"I know you'll be among the Taurs who'll see this tree finally bear fruits. Until this, may this blade protect you as it protected me."
Laying the longsword before the mother and the child, Leets cast bless on Vrurt and the newborn.
"May Domi walk by your side, and bring hope and courage in your hearts."
Kanchana d20+3=20 d20+3=12 Thursday September 4th, 2003 2:15:59 AM
Kanchana walks over to Vrurt and her child. Smiling she hands Vrurt the carved shield she made, "this is a shield of Tomi. I made it with holes for thread so it could be stitched onto clothing or a blanket." Kanchana admires the child for a brief moment, then looks at Vrurt and offers to bless the child. If Vrurt doesn't object she says: "The blessings of Mother Wold and Father Tomi upon you; little one. May the Great Mother nourish and protect you, give you shelter and abundance. May the Father of Taurs guide you and give you strength, may He grant you success in the hunt and walk beside you; always, on your Lifepath." At the end of her blessing Kanchana reaches down and gently gives an almost motherly caress to the child; brushing it's cheek with her hand. "May you find peace where ever you may be Vrurt. I will do my utmost to aid you and your child when it is in my power to do so." Kanchana steps back and looks for the Dryad, before 'scouting out' the island. She also searches for a nice and suitable piece of wood so she can begin carving a shield for Domisha too. Kanchana feels guilty for not thinking about making one for Domisha at Hearthold Keep.

Brahmah (Speak with Animals) Thursday September 4th, 2003 2:51:24 AM
Cocking his head at the Golden eagle, he moves closer. Brahmah casts(assuming its an animal or a magical beast, Can we speak using the spell even if its an animal companion?) Speak with Animals (duration 3 minutes equaling his caster level, 3rd) He gibbers, shreeks and squaks at the eagle, making few gestures other than the odd twitch and head tilt. The Eagle returns the sounds in kind. Brahmah knods frequently. (Why have you come to me? Where did she come from? Who sent her? What she is called? All the basic questions.) There is a final squak and then the Golden Eagle flies off the tree and lands on Brahmah's horn.
Brahmah walks over to the Child, kneels and removes his pack. He retrieves four painted ioun stones. He places them near the childs head, then releases them. They float harmlessly and meaningfully around the childs head. "Bless you under Domi and this beautiful glade." He looks at Vrurt and says. "Know I will protect your child to my end." He lowers his head and stands.
As he stands, the eagle notices Vasch's fish hanging there untended and takes off snagging a fish. She lands and starts tearing it apart.
***4 Ioun Stones (grey, painted[blue, red, yellow and white] and carved) --(The yellow one carved with a wemic, the blue carved with a centaur, the red carved with a minotaur and the white one carved with the Holy symbol of Domi surrounded by the three taur races.)***

Kenisha and Domisha Thursday September 4th, 2003 6:19:19 AM
Kenisha has a feeling of peace and unworry for the first time since entering the swamp. Even the dryad's words about the children can not shake it. After a moment, she heads over to the dryad and collects her daughter; leading her over to where Vrurt and her child are.
"Greetings, sister Taur. May I introduce to you and yours my litle one. This is Domisha, who's name means 'hand of Domi'." She then roots about in her pack for something.
Domisha's cat-like eyes are bright as is her smile. She looks up at her mother then over at Vrurt.
Kenisha pulls out her gift to Vrurt's child. "May the wine that this skin holds, be ever used to seal friendship between all the Taurs." she says as she hands the wineskin over. Carved into the leather on one side is a Taur with features of all three races. On the other side are three figures, a wemic, a centaur and a minotaur, hands clasped in friendship under the symbol of Domi.
A Tender Moment. (DM Jim) Thursday September 4th, 2003 3:21:06 PM
Vrurt stares on as each person lays a gift by her baby. Tears swell in her eyes as she gently strokes the babies head. "Is she really that special...why do those in the village wish to kill her?" She is seeking answers to questions that leave her teetering on the verge of a cliff. "I have betrayed my people's laws...but I could not let them kill her." She looks to The Chosen, seeking answers and giving a silent thanks for thier kindness. "If what you say is true and the dream I had is too...she must live, but where to take her." Vrurt make haste to gather up the gifts after several minutes of hugs and thanks to The Chosen. She stows them in a bag that she is carrying that you notice contains lots of food and water.
Suddenly there is a yell from across the water, but you cannot see anyone from this side of the tree. "Chosen...surrender yourselves at once. Be forwarned that we will only take your unconditional surrender and nothing else." As you look around and spot the man, he is the Mailed Fist leader from the village. His men and woman stand in different areas, two of them with arrows already nocked to bowstrings. They appear to be ready to take you by force if need be.
[As this is possibly the entrance to combat we may need to hold off till everyone has 3.5 characters ready and approved. I have currently asked Kent about this as he is the ruler on that right now.]
Brahmah d20=19 Friday September 5th, 2003 3:18:07 AM
The Chosen's Captian whips his head around as he hears the yell. As he walks away from her, he glances at the Chosen's spell casters as if to say, 'Be ready.' He looks back at Vrurt. "Stay hidden, don't move."
Pah'caw, the Golden Eagle, takes off from the ground and soars. She whistles, "Shrrreeeeooowwk." Brahmah makes a gesture to defend the Children. (Defend command DC is 20, Wild Empathy, rolled a 19 + ranger level 6 + Link Ability 4 - Charisma 2 = 27 result)
Knowing that the only way off this island is that log (he briefly longs for Wings).
Brahmah brazenly walks to the island side end of the log bridge and stops before crossing. Looking out over the water, he shouts to the Mailed Fist. "Let us speak rationally, Friend Taurs. Your Leader and myself. We can meet on neutral ground. Your are tenacious hunters. Unconditional surrender? What have we done? I hear no accusations that makes for a viable argument. Explain." Even shouting, Brahmahs voice is calm and peaceful, as peaceful as the island.
His hands are away from his weapons, hands outstretched to his side.
Flat-top Friday September 5th, 2003 9:41:47 AM
Flat-top was standing with the male group of the Children Of Domi, when he heard the shout. He turns to face the voice, his first instinks are to go for his Morning Star but that would be fruitless, only arrows would do this job now. But Brahmah gives a sign and advances to the log bridge. Flat-top likes what Brahmah has in mind and will wait for further instructions.
Vasch Friday September 5th, 2003 10:51:35 AM
Vasch quickly pulls his bow and draws and arrow then moves to the shore. "Grrrr..." Is all vasch says waiting for the command to loose his arrows.
List of Charges Against The Chosen. (DM Jim) Friday September 5th, 2003 2:08:37 PM
The Mailed Fist leader walks to the edge of the foot wide bridge and smiles at Brahmah. "We will parlay with you for a few minutes." He signals his men to hold thier ground as he talks to Brahmah. The two fighters sheath thier weapons and draw bows instead, the cleric pulls up a crossbow ready for action and the wizard has a wand in his hand. Each keeps a watchful eye on the happenings as they are prepared for anything.
"You ask for charges, Brahmah leader of The Chosen...so you shall get them." He takes out a sheet of parchment and reads off the following, after unrolling the scroll.
"The Chosen have been found guilty of the following charges and are to be brought back to have judgement passed by the High Priest Bloran.
1) The kidnapping of the High Priest's sister. 2) The kidnapping of the High Priest's sister's child. 3) Causing a riot in the village that resulted in the damage of property as well as emotional damage. 4) Support of the abomination that scripture deems a threat to the world. 5) Bringing into the world another abomination from one of your own no less. 6) Outright heresy in the support of these abominations. 7) Drawing weapons and threatening the High Priest."
The leader rolls back up the scroll and smiling looks on while Brahmah digests the list of accusations. "You have ten minutes to concur between yourselves and come to a decision...at that time you will enter our custody in one way or the other." He waits to see what Brahmah has to say before turning and making his way back to his men. He is not sure of his orders to take these ones in...but the High Priest has payed the Mailed Fist rather well for thier services.
Brahmah (dodge vs cleric) Friday September 5th, 2003 4:51:53 PM
"Wow, those sound mighty convincing.
1) The kidnapping of the High Priest's sister. WHO MIGHT THIS UNFORTUNATE BE?
2) The kidnapping of the High Priest's. WE HAVEN'T SEEN THE HIGH PRIEST SINCE WE MET WITH HIM AT THE VILLAGE SEVERAL DAYS AGO.
3) Causing a riot in the village that resulted in the damage of property as well as emotional damage. I CAN ASURE YOU THAT WHATEVER DAMAGE WAS DONE TO YOUR VILLAGE WAS DUE TO THE STUPIDITY AND IGNORRANCE OF IT'S OWN POPULACE AND IF YOUR REFERRING TO THE FIRE, IT WAS AN ILLUSION. WHEN WE LEFT YOU VILLAGERS WERE THROWING WATER ON THE ILLUSION. EMOTIONAL DAMAGE? I THINK THAT IS UP TO DEBATE.
4) Support of the abomination that scripture deems a threat to the world. TEXT, I FOUND RECENTLY, CAN BE AND HAS BEEN MISINTERPERATED BY SOME OF THE HIGHEST CLERGY.
5) Bringing into the world another abomination from one of your own no less. I ONLY SEE THE LOVE OF TWO TAURS AND TWO CHOSEN. DOMI FORESAW THE CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS AS HOPE FOR THE TAURS.
6) Outright heresy in the support of these abominations. I SEE NOTHING BUT INNOCENT CHILDREN.
7) Drawing weapons and threatening the High Priest. FOR THE SAFETY OF THE CHILDREN, WE MEANT NO HARM TO THE PRIEST."
Brahmah turns away as the Mailed Fist leader does the same. He moves to the Chosen. "We have ten minutes before we are taken into custody. The leader doesn't seem sure of himself, which is an advantage. I suggest we go quietly, using that time for Vrurt to escape. Okay, now that I've said the sensible thing.... We need to fight our way free. They have clerics and a wizard. What say you Chosen?"

Kanchana ties her scimitar with a peace-knot and makes a beeline for Brahmah's side. Kanchana comes across as determined to keep this island pure and clean. She tries to sound convincing but not threatening. She tries to keep all moves she makes non-aggressive, non-threatening.
"Absolutely NO bloodshed here on this Grove! This is sacred to the Great Mother and it is a sanctuary. Any who would defile it will find little aid from the LifeGiver. Put all ranged, blood-drawing weapons away - everyone." Kanchana gives everyone 'the look'(you all know the one that moms and wives use sometimes) as best she can.
"Commander Miroband of the Mailed Fist, before we confer among ourselves I would like to say a few words to you. I believe you and your people were led false; to a degree, when this task was given you." Kanchana is talking loudly, but tries to keep her voice calm and steady.
Kanchana looks distinctly alarmed at what Brahmah has said. "Brahmah the village isn't theirs. They were just bivouacking there."
Kanchana speaks directly (raising her voice a little more to be heard better)to Commander Miroband (even though his back is turned to her): "I hope you will take time to listen to one who is not the leader. The first point: Vrurt fled from the town in fear - we have tracked her. We did not; nor have we ever had any intent of kidnapping her or her child. The second point: I am not sure what Bloran meant. [pause for breath] The proposed riot and any resulting damages we share some blame in, yes. So does Bloran for commanding the people to take up arms. But that was all the result of severe miscommunication. The fire was an illusion. [ another very short pause for breath] The rest of the accusations, barring the drawing weapons bit, is for Tomi to clarify NOT any of us, NOT Bloran, and most certainly NOT a temporal court. All of this is the result of hot tempers and closed ears. Decreed by dreams, as yet not discussed between all parties concerned."
Kanchana takes a deep breath and continues... "I have no desire to fight any of you; nor any Taur. I do ask that this place be kept holy and clean and that the children be kept out of this. They are innocents." Kanchana looks quite sincere, "I do not know why you were even asked to be involved in all of this. Surely you must think that you are wasting your time on some frivolry? Did Bloran in his ire and pain ask you to help?" Her gaze is fixed on Commander Miroband and she looks slightly desperate for understanding and somewhat worried. Kanchana has not considered any mercenary aspect of this. She sincerely hopes that someone among the mercenaries is listening to her.
"Finally, sorry if Captain Brahmah sounded rude. It is just that we are all tired of accusations and miscommunications."
Kanchana feels unsure if her words came out with the meaning she intended. She now has a cold, hard knot in her stomach that she might have erred in opening her big mouth. Her posture now shows this insecurity.
(Sense motive 24 (trying to get a feel of the mercenaries - especially Commander Miroband), Wisdom check 12 (to see if I could remember the commander's name and rank), Diplomacy 8, Wisdom check 17 (for accuracy of remembering what happened at the viallage), Intelligence check 22 (for piecing together all the info given in the whole prophecy debacle etc.)
Kenisha and Domisha Friday September 5th, 2003 11:27:38 PM
(OOC- I thought we had to wait before posting again. Are we a go to continue?)
Brahmah(addendum) Saturday September 6th, 2003 12:28:14 AM
(OOC: The reason I responded to the Leader in 'caps' was NOT to show anger or shouting, but to differenciate between items.)
IC: Brahmah looks shocked at Kanchana, then looks at Flat-top, pointing at Kanchana, he says, "Flat-top, I thought I said all this already."
Looking back at Kanchana, the Captain and leader of the Chosen 'reclaims' what he said. "I believe, Kanchana, they will only understand the irrational. They are just 'doin' their jobs. I meant everything in Honorable statement and honest truth. I did not know and wasn't told Vrurt was related to the high priest. The Warden, Kanchana, is correct in that we ARE tired of accusations that are untrue and dishonorable. I am Honorable and so are the Chosen. AND THERE WILL BE NO BLOODSHED ON THIS SACRED GROUND."
He pauses and recollects something. "You also said... "The Chosen have been found guilty of the following charges and are to be brought back to have judgement passed by the High Priest Bloran." Whats the point of Judgement if we're already GUILTY! This will be a drumhead trial!"
Flat-top Saturday September 6th, 2003 7:30:21 AM
"You have, Captain. But what Kachana does not realize is that she, Vasch and Ceira are weimics, so they are the enermy. We all been found guilty even before a trial, excution is a mute question now. It's the Uni'taurs that I'm worried about, even if we give up and are tied up to march back to the village, it woun't do the children any good. The Mailed Fist will only cross for the babies and their mothers, then who know what orders they have from the high preist? All I know is they woun't be gental about it. I don't mind going back in chains and turning over my Morning Star, what puzzles me is how do we protect these little ones and their mothers??" Flat-top look to Sir Leets the Paladin for an answer.
Vasch d20+1=18 Saturday September 6th, 2003 9:58:59 AM
"I'm sorry Kanchana but I WILL NOT be hauled back in chains. Know this, if they step on this island, blood will run on sacred ground. I have not traveled all this way to see my end...er...our ends! I said it in the village, I will let no one harm the children!" With that Vasch lets out a great roar. (Intimidate DC18)
Brahmah(addendum) Saturday September 6th, 2003 11:47:44 AM
Brahmah looks at Vasch, then smiles. The Captain shudders at the roar.
(OOC: I want to point out, regardless what happens to the chldren, that the Chosen will always be fugitives. We spit on dogma and prophecy, apparently, without trying.)
Flat-top Tuesday September 9th, 2003 4:10:12 PM
The only one left are Sam (Kale) and Jenner (Ceira) Who have not posted for a while. Are we ready to post??
Brahmah (Jay OOC) Tuesday September 9th, 2003 5:38:23 PM
OOC: Kale and Ceira have not turned in their characters to Kent. Are either of you having problems converting? DO you need books? Suggestions? (Are you converting?) I'm not going to speak for the other taurs, but I'm always an email away for anyone who needs help; if I can give it, I will.
Taric (inivisible?) Wednesday September 10th, 2003 2:04:08 AM
During the parley Taric moves to check on Vrurt. If he gets the chance to talk unhead and move his hands unseen he will do so, turning himself invisible at the first chance, preferably using the tree as cover so as not to be seen by the Mailed Fist.
He then prepares to cast another spell which might prevent a bloodbath from taking place. He holds the spell though, ready to unleash it at the first sign of hostilities.
Taric feels in no way committed to surrender. He will defend these children and with them the will of Domi, even if it's the last thing he'll do.
OOC: casting invibility if possible.
Leets d20+2=14 Wednesday September 10th, 2003 3:13:13 AM
Leets listens to Brahmah and Flat-Top as Kanchana speaks. He grabs a long piece of wood on the ground and begins to clean it with his woodcarving tools while gibing his own point of view.
"You're both right. I don't want to see the children in the hands of those. They would be able of anything and...event the worst."
"I suppose we are accused of Heresy because we didn't agree with Bloran and his text. The problem is that he IS the High Priest, and we need another point of view about all this."
"The best would be to gather Domi's clergymen so that they see the truth and work all together on the holy scripture. The other problem is that Bloran will certainly not let us go to do such a thing: as you said, Brahmah, we are already guilty and there will be no real trial."
"Well spoken, Kanchana, I understand why you don't want this place to be desecrated...It's a pity those can't see the nature of this place...I just took this piece of wood, it will...well, help me go on this journey, we'll say, and it's also nice to bring back something from here..."
"Hmm..Let's see, they have fighters, wizards and clerics...We've seen far much worst. We could probably manage to flee. I haven't seen Taric for a while, and Managarm also went away hunting a couple of minutes ago...He could come back very quickly...Your new friend, Brahmah, could be very important too..."
"I hate the idea of spilling Taur's blood, but I'm not sure the ones Bloran sent will hear us at all."
"You have the final word, Brahmah. As for myself, I think we can probably go away - although we will be fugitive as you said. However, we know we still have friends on this island - the Wemics. They can perhaps help us find a boat, because we can't reach ours. Then, we can go bak to the Hearthold Keep with the children: There will be no danger for the children in this place of tolerance. It can also be the neutral ground we need to gather the clergymen of Domi, and maybe I can also find some scriptures about those events..."
"It won't be asy, but if you want us to go away, I'll do all that is needed."
Leets finally tightens his grasp on his piece of wood that now looks like a LARGE quarterstaff.
(woodcarving 14)
Flat-top Wednesday September 10th, 2003 5:02:30 AM
"Well said, Leets! I agree." As flat-top put away his Morning Star, Take his long bow and stat string it. "Captain! just give the word."
Brahmah Wednesday September 10th, 2003 6:26:28 AM
As Brahmah listens to the Chosen, he watches the Mailed Fist jockey to position themselves around the island like flies on a rubbage heap.
He whispers to the Chosen. "If we flee, the swamp will hinder us, we know this. If we fight, there will be blood shed. We HAVE faced worse, but need we face anything now? Heartshold Keep is where we need to flee to and there that clergy meeting can take place... we can summon them there so we're not 'out causing trouble'. We DO need the wemic on this island, they can support us, they DO support us. I wonder if one/both of our animal friends can seek Tariv's group at the village? Do our animals have the ability to seek out those taurs? Where is Taric? And Kale for that matter? And Ceira? Maybe they got away, or captured? If Managarm returns, that may be our opening. He may distract the Fist long enough for us to make a tactical retreat. I hate the idea of retreat, but with the Children, we have little choice. I do know we can't return to that village."
"Archers, casters, be ready. We hold this island."
"Dryad friend, where are you? We need your guidance. Your tree is about to be harmed, your grove bloodied! These men in armor wish to bring harm to Vrurt and her child... and us." He says carefully.
Brahmah removes a scrolls from his case (entangle) and a Tanglefoot bag from his pack. Still looking inside his bag, Brahmah says, "In this situation I would HAPPILY trade my kukri for a good strength bow."
OOC: Did anyone think to take an item or something from Tariv's group that Managarm can 'scent'? Question: If Managarm comes back and sees all this happening, would he hide? or would he avoid combat and return right to Leets? Can he 'distract' the Fist(what are his 'tricks')?
Flat-top Wednesday September 10th, 2003 10:40:49 AM
"Tauric?? Tauric was here a minute ago, So was Ceira and Kale. If I remember corect Kale had taken a blanlet and a cloth for Domisha head, when they escape. Kale said he never used it on domisha, this cloth comes from the Midwife. will that do?" Flat-top turn from Brahmah and yells "HEY! Kale! We need you here for a while."
"Leets, you gave me alot to think about, but what ever we decied I with you. May Domi hold my arrows true."
The Party For The New Children. (DM Jim) Wednesday September 10th, 2003 1:57:28 PM
The captain turns to regard Kanchana with a critical eye and shakes his head in regret. "I am sorry kind lady...I cannot allow that unless you all leave the island bound and gaged." You can see a hint of sadness in his eyes as he takes in the island and shakes his head again. "I fear that bloodshed will soon happen in this area...my hands are tied by the High Priest and my superiors." He then makes his way back to his men and gives them orders to spread out a little. You also notice that a pair of minotaur priest's have also shown up...obviously to support the Mailed Fist.
The dryad reappears near Brahmah's side a sad look on her face. "Do not worry...no harm will come to my tree....but the rest....." She looks around sadly at the rest of the island. Taking Brahmah's hand she kisses it lightly. "I cannot join you in the battle...but I do not want to see the children taken." She looks to the rest of The Chosen and with a shy smile she runs back to her tree for a minute and returns. To each of you she hands a perfectly rounded and clear piece of amber, she then disappears into the tree once again.
Captain Miroband walks back to the edge of the water to speak again, after the agreed time is up. "Have The Chosen come to a decision?" He waits for an answer, but it is his men moving around to take up better positions that draws your attention too.
[I am figuring that we will be seeing combat next post so we will have to hold off on that. I need to get some info from Kent first and we need to check on Ceira's status.]
[Sorry for no post yesterday...did not realize that the Wold was back up.]
Flat-top Wednesday September 10th, 2003 4:07:31 PM
Flat-top puts his shield in the ground (bottom point of shield end down), almost a propping the shield is his quiver of arrows (so it is easer to pick up the next arrow to battle). Now Flat-top strings his bow, he has a arrow ready to set, but not just yet just holding the weapon down. Flat-top puts his Ambar piece under his Chest Plat Armor.
He whispers to Leets "Leets if your praying, ask Domi and Almi to have mercy on the Uni'Taurs. I'm ready to be judge."
Vasch Wednesday September 10th, 2003 7:17:08 PM
Vasch notes the priest and readies himself. "Tomi give me the strength to conquer my ememies." He says aloud. He lifts his bow, draws it back and waits.
Kenisha and Domisha d20+10=30 Wednesday September 10th, 2003 10:40:59 PM
Kenisha picks up Domisha and takes her over to Vrurt and her child. "Keep her safe. Should you find a way off this island, head to Hearthold Isle. You will find sactuary there for you and the children."
She gives Domisha one last kiss on the top of her head. "Be safe and well, my daughter." Not knowing what was going on, Domisha goes over to the other baby and they sit and play.
Kenisha then examines the amber the dryad has given to figure out what it is. (Knowledge Arcana=30)
"I won't give my daughter over to be murdered. If I have to die to ensure her safety, I will."
Taric (invisible) Thursday September 11th, 2003 2:09:48 AM
Taric moves over to Brahmah and whispers to him: "It's me, Taric. Whenever you see a chance arising, take it and set off to Hearthold keep."
He then moves away, making sure he is not the path of any arrows. When he feels comfortable he is some distance away from everybody he starts concentrating to get his spell going, a spell that will hopefully cause enough of a distraction to prevent any bloodshed.
Kanchana d20+6=18 d20+3=13 d20+4=22 d20+5=21 Thursday September 11th, 2003 2:19:22 AM
Kanchana takes the piece of amber reverently, and looks at it trying to see if it can be of any use in this situation. Kanchana moves back from the edge of the island, goes over to the tree sits down and thinks hard for a moment. [if those ability checks and religion check work DM Jim, then she will say loudly] "Is there no way that Leets or one of the clerics; either Minotaur or of the Mailed Fist can invoke some sort of way to see if anyone is telling the truth? I would gladly submit to such a questioning!" [If the rolls do not work then she says nothing but does the following either after speaking or after just sitting down.] Kanchana remains sitting beside the tree trying to think of a way to get the children and Vrurt away from here and avoid combat (if they can!). Kanchana carefully unties the peaceknot on her scimitar, hoping no one sees her doing this.
Leets Thursday September 11th, 2003 2:37:45 AM
"We would need our opponents to look another way while we are leaving...Managarm may try to bark and do noise to draw their attention, but I think they are now too many."
"Maybe our spellcasters could do something...The fire at the village was very convincing, for example...Do you have an idea, my friends?"
Leets turns to Ceira, Kenisha and Taric...
Brahmah(dodge vs wizard) Thursday September 11th, 2003 5:58:07 AM
Brahmah nods with a smile in response to Taric, but says nothing. The Captain grows more and more tense, waiting for fate or the like to step and show itself. Under his breath, he says. "Yes, tactical retreat to The Keep. When the distraction comes, try to meet at the docks we landed on. Whoever arrives their, charter a ship for however many are with you. Try to remain together though, to the best of your ability."
"Pah'caw, heel." He calls for his newest companion (the eagle). "What I would give for a set of wings!"
Brahmah (addendum) Thursday September 11th, 2003 6:01:41 AM
Brahmah adds, quietly, "Stay together, unless absolutely necessary!"
(How many Mailed Fist? Opposing Taurs? Etc)
Taking Stock of the Situation. (DM Jim) Thursday September 11th, 2003 2:02:18 PM
Kenisha gets no sense from the amber as she intently studies it. That could mean that it is a more suttle magic to the amber than some items or that it is just a nice piece of amber.
Kanchana comes up with a couple of spells that would allow thier truth to be determined.
Cleric - 2nd level zone of truth, 4th level discern lies
Brahmah can see currently the following number of soldiers.
Mailed Fist - Captain, soldiers(4), cleric, wizard Minotaurs - Clerics(3) *one came with the Mailed Fist*
[OOC: Checking with Kent about combat. Plus I am sending Kale's character sheet to Kent again.]
Brahmah(dodge on wizard) Thursday September 11th, 2003 3:11:42 PM
Brahmah looks at the Chosen. He whispers. "When we start firing, concentrate on the captain and the casters."
Flat-top Thursday September 11th, 2003 3:24:04 PM
Flat-top locates one of the cleric, the one with a bleu eye and one brown eye. To Leets he ask "which one do you want a cleric or the wizard?" To Captain Brahmah "Anytime your ready, Sir!"
Kanchana d20=16 Thursday September 11th, 2003 5:14:01 PM
Kanchana heaves herself up from the ground rather rapidly considering her size.
"Wait! Wait! There are a few spells that can be used to discern truth! Only I have no command of them... Leets! Do you you know any of them? One causes an inability to tell false and the other shows when someone is lieing." [She steps forward again; towards the water and the bridge. She looks at the Minotaurs and whom she thinks is the cleric among the Mailed Fist] "Do any of you have mastery of any spells that can discern truth or show if one lies? If you do then we can possibly settle this with Father Tomi's good grace."
Kanchana is once again speaking loudly enough to be heard clearly by the Chosen and (most likely) by at least the Commander of the mercenaries. She seems to exude hope and enthusiasm.
(Diplomacy 16)
Kenisha Thursday September 11th, 2003 10:06:14 PM
Kenisha tucks the amber into her tunic and waits grimly to see if the Mailed Fist was willing to listen to reason and accept Kanchana's suggestion.
Brahmah(Additional) Thursday September 11th, 2003 11:08:08 PM
"Yes, the truth, let's hear the truth."
OOC: Truth is a strange term. If one is sure he/she is right, it will be true to them. True?
Leets Friday September 12th, 2003 1:49:56 AM
"Unfortunately Kenisha I don't master such powerful magic yet...Moreover, I'm not even sure they would believe me if I was able..."
Leets looks sadly at the whole group of opponents.
"I'll try to stay near you, Kenisha. Flat-Top, let's stay together. As for which one I shall fight, I'll try to reason the Cleric, maybe his faith can open his eyes if Domi helps me..."
Leets unties his three javelins, and gets a last look at the staff he just finished.
"May Domi guide all of us my friends."
"And see you soon at the Hearthold Keep."
Taric (invisible) Friday September 12th, 2003 3:18:25 AM
Taric listens to Kanchana and surely hopes the Mailed Fist would listen to reason, but in his heart he already knew the only way to get out of here and find some kind of solution was to get back to Hearthold Keep. Taric was just praying he could provide the distraction he was hoping for. He conjured up the image of a body, snapped in two pieces, seemingly floating on the swampy waters. The body seemed to be freshly dead, although it was quite a bit away from the Mailed Fist. Taric already started on his next spell to complete the image.
OOC: casting 'silent image' to conjure the image of a dead body, snapped in two pieces by something very powerful, with a look of terror on the bodies face. The whole image should be about 50 ft away from the main group of the Mailed Fist with the captain, south of that group with the chosen being west of that group. He will concentrate on that image for as long as it remains unnoticed. Whenever somebody of the Mailed Fist notices it he will let it sink ((cease concentrating)) to cast another spell
Getting Off the Island. (DM Jim) Friday September 12th, 2003 2:28:55 PM
The Captain had waited to see what the replies will be from The Chosen. When Kanchana speaks of truth spells the Captain smiles and shakes his head. "That would do little good...truth is in the mind of each person and can greatly differ from someone else's idea." With a last look he turns and walks back to his men so that he can give orders. From over his shoulder he imparts the last. "You know that there is only two ways off this island...dead or bound...I believe it will come to the former for one group."
With a yelled order that you are not able to make out, the Mailed Fist take up weapons and prepare to bombard the group with everything they have.
[For reason of combat...each group will be within 300 feet of each other. So both groups will have a little trouble in reaching each other from where they are at without getting on the bridge or making use of Far Shot.]
[For the time being I am going to put Ceira in cryo-freeze so that we can get to combat, as soon as I get the ok from Kent about Kale's character sheet. Will keep you posted for that. Skip that, just noticed that I have no sheet for Kale as well. May have to put him into Cryo-freeze as well.]
Brahmah(dodge versus wizard) Friday September 12th, 2003 5:40:15 PM
"Let them attack first, defend yourself. Don't give them anymore reason to think that we're 'bad' or 'wrong'." He says so only the Chosen can hear.
Brahmah takes up a defensive posture, holding his scroll in one hand and a Tanglefoot in the other, buckler sinched up. Brahmah has NO weapon in hand. (Total Defense, +4 Dodge for this round, AC 27, AC 28 vs wizard)
Flat-top Saturday September 13th, 2003 1:22:45 AM
"All that's left now is a word from you Captain. Leets I'm right beside you, Hachana Just do your best to keep us on our hooves. Kenisha Keep the babies safe." Flat-top Stand there very tense. Just watching for any kind of wrong movement.
Taric (invisible) Saturday September 13th, 2003 1:30:11 AM
Taric decides it's time for action as it is obvious there won't be a peaceful solution here. He casts a spell to create a lot of splashing sounds to attract the attention of the Mailed Fist, preparing them for his next spell.
OOC: casting ghoust sounds to make the splashing sounds of something big moving through the swampy waters.
Kanchana - AC 16 (AC with Mage Armor 20) d20+7=23 Saturday September 13th, 2003 7:50:15 AM
Kanchana sighs, takes a 5-foot step backwards while still watching the mercenaries across the water. Then concentrating she casts Mage Armor on herself; preparing for the worst. "I have done all that I can think of to keep bloodshed from occuring. I will see what I can do to keep us and the cubs alive," Kanchana isn't speaking to anyone in particular, but is only speaking loudly enough that only anyone on the island can hear what she just said.

MDM Kent Sunday September 14th, 2003 9:13:09 AM Hey guys and Gals. I still need two sheets from you. I need Kale, Cierra. Am I believe one of the Players is missing, so you can puth them innactive, but before they can rejoin the sheet must be updated. thanks for you help.
Kenisha (Mage Armor= 22 AC) Sunday September 14th, 2003 11:33:56 PM
Kenisha also casts Mage Armor on herself and waits for them to fall upon them.
Leets Monday September 15th, 2003 11:55:49 AM
Nodding at Flat-Top and glancing at their oppoents, Leets takes his shield as projectiles are thrown at the Chosen. The Centaur paladin will try to protect Kenisha and her child as well as he can, using his own body as a shield if needed.
Vasch Monday September 15th, 2003 9:06:25 PM
Vasch holds his bow, drawn, ready to fire.
Flat-top Tuesday September 16th, 2003 5:45:11 AM

Taking by Force. (DM Jim) d20+8=13 d20+3=10 d20+8=23 d8+2=4 d8+2=8 d8+2=3 d20+8=21 d20+3=17 d20+8=22 d8+2=5 d8+2=6 d8+2=10 Tuesday September 16th, 2003 2:32:14 PM
Captain Miroband gives some quick words to his men and they form up quickly. Two of the bow wielders pulls swords and shields after putting away their bows. They make for the bridge as does one of the minotaur priests. The sorceress goes into a flurry of gestures of her own, the beginning of a spell. The Mailed Fist cleric moves forward as well to give aid to his men. The last minotaur priest also moves forward to give aid as well.
You notice that only the minotaurs stop to check out the source of the sound. The Mailed Fist are too well trained to fall for just sounds and they have already seen enough of the area before hand to know that noone else is present.
Mailed Fist archer(a) pulls back on his bow and lets three arrows fly in the direction of Vasch (hit: 13/10/23, damage: 4/8/3).
Mailed Fitst archer(b) pulls back on his bow as well after giving a nod to his fellow archer. Taking the time he pulls a bead on Kenisha and fires off three arrows as well (hit: 21/17/22, damage: 5/6/10).
Vrurt has taken Domisha into the holler of the tree to hide her with her own baby. This holler is on the other side of the tree and cannot be seen by the Mailed Fist.
Vasch (29/32, AC20) d20+1=21 d20+1=20 3d6(4+5+3)+6=18 Tuesday September 16th, 2003 3:44:23 PM
Vasch lets his arrow go returning fire back at the Mailed Fist archers. A Hit! The arrow buries itself deep into the archer. Vasch quickly reloads.
OOC: (AC21,natural 20, AC for the threat; Crit 18 pts, otherwise 6 pts)
Flat-top d20+2=20 d20+2=21 d6+2=7 d6+2=7 d6+2=8 Tuesday September 16th, 2003 4:32:45 PM
Flat-top lets the two arrow fly towards the waving sorceress, hitting her in the chest with the two arrows and quickly relodes his bow again.
OOC: Attack ac 20 and ac 21 Critical hit, Damages 7+7+8=22.
Kenisha 3d4(3+3+1)+3=10 Tuesday September 16th, 2003 9:53:08 PM
Kenisha, standing proudly with her fellow Chosen, watches as the first volley of arrows come at them. One arrow just barely missed her, deflected only by the grace of her armor spell, the second missing completely. The third however would have struck her dead on if her hand had not snatched the arrow the second before it could hit her chest.
"I had almost forgotten that I received these Gloves of Missile Snaring." Kenisha says with a smile.
She then casts her own spell, "Shev-Pak Newal!", sending three magic Missiles to the sorceress (for 10 HP of damage).
Taric (invisible) Wednesday September 17th, 2003 1:44:20 AM
Taric casts another spell, close to where he created the ghost sounds. This time he lets eight large, black tentacles ripple the surface of the water, moving it slowly towards the mailed fist.
OOC: creating the image of darktentacles using major image.
Kanchana (AC 20 - Mage Armor) d20+7=19 Wednesday September 17th, 2003 2:20:56 AM
Kanchana casts entangle centered on the area where the bridge meets land on the end of the bridge closest to the Mailed Fist and the Minotaur clerics.

Understanding that he's no cover for Kenisha, Leets begins to run in the direction of the bridge, and throws a javelin on his way (on the closest opponent), preparing to charge next round (javelin attack 20, damage 7).
"Come on hand to hand cowards, and you'll get to know me!"
