K'Nara Illutu Friday July 16th, 2004 6:41:13 AM
A six-foot-tall human woman strides confidently into the grove, treading the ground in dark brown, knee-high, soft-soled boots. She wears a tunic of green hues over breeches of medium brown, topped by a forest-green cloak clasped about her neck with a golden, tree-shaped brooch. Although her head is encased in a black mesh fillet, the hair that is exposed curls a bit and is a deep shade of chestnut red. Her hazel eyes scan the Talons and her grin--if possible--grows wider and brighter.
"Ingrge!" she calls out with warmth, then addresses all whom she recognizes: "Bertram! Olana! Lian! And Figment, you bookreader, you..! How in The Wold ARE you all???" The woman warrior--who has never been one to shield her feelings--hugs each and every one of her named friends, laughing and making the small talk that only long-time and rather close companions can engage in.
"So..." the female fighter's hazel eyes turn to the newest in the Talons group, "...we have some new faces in the crowd, eh? Well, then--" Here the tall, athletic human sweeps down in a bow that is intricate and graceful enough to be mistaken for an elven greeting, "--I am K'Nara, daughter of Lowell Illutu. It is my honor to meet you."
(OOC: if people would kindly remember to describe the physical appearance of their PCs [especially if you're an older PC with a new look or a new PC that K'Nara has never seen before], I'd very much appreciate it.)
Lian Friday July 16th, 2004 7:25:36 AM
Responding to K'Nara's questions, Lian states his current situation. "Huh?! Sorry, but I did not catch all of that. I am a bit deaf in these pointed ears. To make a long story short, I was in a dragon-constructs maw when it decided it wasn't happy and roared... my ears still haven't stopped ringing." It may be a little obvious that the monk, who at one point was timed and quiet, has now been working on humor and conversational skills. He smiles more than he used too.
Trying to be a good friend to his new friends and his old, he extends his open hand to the newbies in tow.
"Athalorn, forest protector and his friend Glannath I believe it is, is flying around somewhere.
Gunther, mighty fighter and lover of beasts. He's seen and can shapechange into tigers!!
And the quiet one is Falin. He's still an enigma, but one must have his secrets." The monk finishes, knowing full well that the introductions aren't nearly good enough.
"Aw yes, our Milo has been a bit reserved as of late and he stays with the Tines and the... well, the situation is verbose to say the least. We, for the most part, have been well..."
"Truth be told, I think Olana will be happy that the Talons have a second lady in their midst once more." He winks to the ranger, knowing she's been roughing it with the males.
The elven monk also makes a silent gesture, pointing out several of the 'physical' changes that should be obvious to the former leader. Lian himself, is easily a head shorter and resembles a tallfellow halfling more than an elf and several Talons are also sporting nifty silvery-white hair or beards.
Falin Friday July 16th, 2004 12:10:37 PM
Falin steps forward. He is dressed in black leather armor with a silver colored six pointed star in the top left of the breast piece. His skin is slightly paler than a normal elves and he keeps his deep red hair clipped tightly on the sides and short on the top. He carries an intricately carved bow and a shortsword at his side.
"K'Nara," Falin says," I don't know if you remember me or not, I was a companion for a short time. We had stepped through a portal in order to confront the gods and I somehow lost the path and ended up someplace else. I had just recently escaped and once again found myself stepping out of a portal with the Talons."
After his brief interlude he steps back into the group.
Olana Friday July 16th, 2004 1:03:23 PM
Olana returns K'Nara's hug, her eyes alight with joy. "It's good to see you, you're looking well."
Olana is more or less as she has always been, except that her hair is now a brilliant white, instead of a light blonde. Her clothes seem a little more battered and worn, but other than that -
"Have you met with the Tines recently?" she asks the bladesinger.
K'Nara Saturday July 17th, 2004 7:31:35 PM
The human bladesinger's hazel eyes blinked in surprise upon seeing Olana.
"N-no..." K'Nara sputtered a bit, bemused, "...I...I appeared back here in the grove only an hour or so ago--I haven't had time to do much of anything except be told that my old group of comrades were back from their mission and expected here as well--" Finally K'Nara can't keep the question from her lips:
"Olana--what's happened to everyone's hair??? What happened in Fae Skeimir while I was gone?"
Lian Sunday July 18th, 2004 1:10:19 AM
In unappropriate response to the question aimed at Olana, Lian answers, "We all had to pay a toll to cross a river to get out with our lives. We had to kiss a life sucking skeleton ferryman thing!" The elf shudders in discomfort at the thought of it. He's seems bitter about this.
Gunther Sunday July 18th, 2004 2:25:18 AM
At his height of 5' 5", the hunter is forced to look up significantly to meet the bladesinger's eyes. A mirthful grin plays on his face as he too sweeps in a bow that though perhaps not as elegant as K'nara's exhibits a dexterity that seems impossible for his stocky frame. Clothed in hide armor composed of a myriad of very exotic animals that creaks with his every movement, Gunther smiles. "Vell met K'nara. I am Gunther a simple hunter and trainer who has somehow managed to fall into de company of great heroes." Gunther holds back a small chuckle as he continues. "Though I am afraid dat your friend de monk is a little mistaken...it is true dat I had trained de kitties...but I do not posses de ability to change into dem...dat vould be de druid." The extremely tan man moves in slightly closer, allowing K'nara a look at the innumerable scars on his chest as he whispers conspiratorially. "I tink de monk might have taken von too many blows to de head during de battle." He winks in a friendly manner as runs his fingers through his snow white hair...a gift from the ferryman that he was actually beginning to enjoy.
