DM George "A break in the action" Thursday September 30th, 2004 9:51:05 PM
Grymash kills the last defender seen on this level. The group rejoins and gets its first real chance to look around.
The cavern is around 200 feet long and 50-60 feet wide. The strangely glowing lichen is on the ceiling which is 15' up. The room is dominated with huge growing mushrooms. Some of them are almost 8' tall.
The mushrooms are in orderly lines and have been tended with loving care. They seem healthy and robust.

OOC: We are currently updating the modules on the DM board. I had a computer change during this module and can't remember when I last gave out experience points and have no way of lookng it up. Anyone remember the date and more importantly how many I gave? Should have been around mid to late June I believe.
Thanks for your help. Hope you are enjoying the module so far.
Flea (AC19, 9/35 HP, Protection from Evil) Thursday September 30th, 2004 11:56:12 PM
Breathing heavily, Flea finds a refuge under one of the big mushrooms. Leaning against the stem, her face is very pale in the eerie light. "Gry," she croaks weakly, "do you still have your 'feel good stick'?"
The rogue does not feel well enough to venture forward.
Trellus (ac 20, hp 46/50, Spider Climb) 3d8(6+7+5)+5=23 Friday October 1st, 2004 8:31:52 AM
Having administered the Neutralize Poison on Flea, Trellus takes a good look at the wounded gnome.
He switches wands.
"Maybe you should let Gry and Jake do the charging out front," he observes with a grin.
The cleric activates his wand. [Cure Serious Wounds - 23 hp healed]
Scanning the chamber for a second, he comes to a quick decision. "Let's keep going down while these spells still work," he says. "Who else needs healing?"
Mac (AC:18, HP: 55/62, Darkvision 60', Fly: Round 3) Friday October 1st, 2004 9:11:37 AM
"..but don't we want to get down there?" Mac asks relatively softly during his decent as he points further down into the darkness.
George Friday October 1st, 2004 9:30:12 AM
OOC Thanks guys, Got the experience answer from Stephen. Graham, thanks for trying.
Trellus Friday October 1st, 2004 11:57:12 AM
The cleric stops, his face scrunched up in confusion.
"Yeah, dude. I just said that."
Tishe' (AC16 29/29) Friday October 1st, 2004 4:16:14 PM
Tishe' smiles at Mac and Gilan keeping her company down the wall.
Arriving at the interim cross tunnel, the small woman nods her head. "My spells will be good for almost a candlemark, but the flying potion will last a lot less than that. If we're going down, we should go quickly."
She hands off the rope back to Trellus, so Grymash can go down.
Spells Spider Climb [50 minutes]
Grymash d20+2=17 Friday October 1st, 2004 5:34:58 PM
Grymash sniffs the mushrooms. "Is dis da treadles food? Shoulds weez smash up them weird-lookin' trees?" (Spot 17)
He turns to Flea, "Nope, Gry's 'Feel Good Stick' all out of good feelin'! But Trellus fix ya up gute!"
Mac (AC:18, HP: 55/62, Darkvision 60', Fly: Round 4) Friday October 1st, 2004 6:04:23 PM
"Right!", he replies to Trellus.
"Who wants me to carry them doon? Who ain't Spiderin'?"
Flea (AC19, 32/35 HP, Protection from Evil) Friday October 1st, 2004 8:58:57 PM
"Much obliged," mumbles the gnome to Trellus when he uses the wand on her. Flea watches in amazement as the wounds seal themselves, and energy courses through her small body.
When Mac makes his offer, Flea pipes up, "mind if I hitch a ride?" As she waits for the 'taur, she pats the half-orc's thigh trying to get his attention. Looking into Gry'statooed face, she mouths a silent Thanks for getting those ant-guys before being carried away by Mac.
DM George Saturday October 2nd, 2004 11:08:51 PM
The group does some healing and starts to head towards the edge of the tunnel to head to the last level.
When you look over the edge, all you see is blackness. It is very dark down this far and Trellus's muted light is all you have right now.
OOC What is the marching order? Is everyone spelled up with spider climbs and fly spells? How is everyone gonna get down?
Tishe' (AC16 29/29) Sunday October 3rd, 2004 1:40:05 PM
Moving only five feet further down the hole, the plain-faced woman looks at her pack. "With the Spider Climb, I can carry a lantern or torch for light." She grins ruefully, "I didn't pick any myself, so I'll need to borrow one."
Thinking a second, she continues, "I can also shrink someone to make carrying easier to get down the shaft."

"Hold on tight, Mac!" calls Flea, "I can cast a spell, but I can only do this once."
The gnome mumbles something under her breath and makes a quick gesture with one hand and 4 lights resembling torches suddenly appear. With a flick of her wrist Flea sends them down the shaft in a slow and gentle spinning circle no larger than 10ft in radius. The Dancing Lights move ahead of the party, but at no time advance farther than 100ft from the rogue held in the taur's arms.
"Hurry!" calls the gnome. "They won't last long."

Gilan [HP: 49/49 , AC: 18] d8+1=8 Sunday October 3rd, 2004 4:38:24 PM
Gilan looks to his glowing hand and wonders if it is producing enough light to see by. "This produce flame spell should give us light as well." Looking to Trellus he shakes his head in reference to the healing as he pulls out his last clw potion (8 HP healed).
Looking to Mac he nods his head as he would much rather have another way down than to climb. "If I am shrunk then it should be easier to carry me as well??" He looks around at the others and thinks of something else. "It appeared that the ants are not effected too well by fire." He is not sure if it was just the big one or if all of them will be the same.

Mac (AC:18, HP: 55/62, Darkvision 60', Fly: Round 5) Sunday October 3rd, 2004 6:13:05 PM
Once Flea gets her dancing lights off, Mac lifts her up onto his shoulder.
To Gilan he replies, "Noo - save it for later. I was reckonin' on carryin' more than two, so I've got four- to five-hundred poonds to spare." Mac then wraps his left arm around Gilan.
"Noo-one else? We're off then."
Barring any last second calls for assistance, Mac steps off and decends into the pit.
Trellus (ac 20, hp 46/50, Spider Climb) Monday October 4th, 2004 11:44:02 AM
[OOC - Flea has a Neutralize Poison spell on her]
Threads are weavin fast. Trellus gets just enough time to tap Mac with his Neutralize Poison wand and get the rope back before the taur, Flea and Gilan are gone.
The cleric makes a mental note to ask Flea how she's weaving these picks with wands and spells.
"Tishe', follow them," he says, indicating the flying minotaur.
"Gry, don't you need the rope?" Figuring he does, Trellus asks Jake to stay with him on this level and hold the rope while the half orc descends. Trellus casts Bulls Strength on Jake, and stands guard with the fighter until Gry gets down.
If Gry has got another way, Trellus follows him down, asking Jake to take the trail position.
Tishe' (AC16 29/29) Monday October 4th, 2004 3:14:24 PM

Grymash keeps an eye down where he is climbing. His darkvision reveals many things as he decends down into the darkness. After the first 20-ft, he has to stop and re-adjust his left hand's position. Then he continues down the rest of the way. (Spot 2, Listen 15) (Additional Climb checks: 8, 10, 12, 13. Each counts as 20-ft)
Jake Monday October 4th, 2004 5:10:20 PM
Jake trails after the rest, eyeing Flea. He didn't know the gnome was a spellcaster...seems like everyone has that ability these days. Sigh. Strange thoughts occur to him, like, that maybe magic isn't too bad...thoughts which he keeps silent to himself.
Grymash (annoyed) d20+8=19 Monday October 4th, 2004 5:45:53 PM
Grymash rolls his eyes and sighs as Jake just completely ignors both Trellus and himself. Grymash ponders that if he has to fall, he wishes Jake would there to cushion his landing. Grymash employs the only options left to him. He removes a silk rope with an attached grappling hook from his haversack. He then attaches the grappling hook to the strongest lip of stone that will hold the hook and his weight. Grymash then decends with pack down the deep tunnel. (Survival 19)
Flea (supplemental) Monday October 4th, 2004 7:55:09 PM
Flea catches the strange stares given by her pack-mates when she does her little magic trick. As she whirls down the tunnel on Mac's shoulder, they hear an echoing voice rise up..."itttt'sss aaaaa gnnnoooommmme thhhhiiiinggg."
Gilan [HP: 49/49 , AC: 18] Monday October 4th, 2004 9:37:42 PM

The Evil DM George Monday October 4th, 2004 10:16:11 PM
The Bloodpack decends down into the pit. Down towards danger, battle, mind control and possible riches. Their motivation is the purest. Freeing another worthy soul from torment and allowing him to finally rest.
The group descends into the pit. Everyone makes it to the bottom. The floors is smooth but the walls are still rough allowing for somewhat easy climbing.
The group finds itself in a circular room, 180' down. It has a diameter of around 20' and no light sources besides the ones the group are carrying. To the east is a tunnel that leads into blackness.
Figure it took around 45 seconds to get everyone down safely but swiftly.
Tishe' (AC16 29/29) Tuesday October 5th, 2004 3:27:50 PM
The brown-haired mage keeps on the left wall to allow the fighters room to maneuver. She takes out her crossbow and stands ready for directions. (and movement down the tunnel)

Directing her Dancing Lights down the obvious tunnel, Flea follows about 20ft. behind them trying to be as stealthy as possible, her drawn shortsword in her hand. She holds a finger up to her lips, signalling the others her desire that they muffle the rattle and clank of their armour.

Jake Wednesday October 6th, 2004 5:17:37 AM
Jake realizes abruptly someone asked him something, and looks around apologetically. Shrugging, he continues on, his sword ready, and still able to do that nifty wall-crawling trick.
Trellus (ac 20, hp 46/50, Spider Climb) Wednesday October 6th, 2004 10:04:36 AM
Trellus is a bit surprised they got down unmolested. That beater ant must still be getting fixed up, he decides.
The rock shouldn't be that big a problem, right? Not with Gry and Mac standing here.
As Flea moves up, the cleric gets a funny feeling. He casts DETECT MAGIC and gives the stone and surrounding walls the once over, just in case.
Mac (AC:18, HP: 55/62, Darkvision 60') d20+5=18 Wednesday October 6th, 2004 12:59:47 PM

Tishe' (AC16 29/29) Wednesday October 6th, 2004 2:29:22 PM
"If it is a boulder blocking a passage, this should pose no problem."
Tishe' stands on the wall confidently, and waits for Mac and Grymash to remove the stone. She covers them with her crossbow, making sure the white-handed ant doesn't pop in on them while they are otherwise occupied.
Her mercurial attention diverts itself to another thought, and the brown eyes sparkle. "If the rock doesn't budge, I can Enlarge Mac to make him stronger."

DM George "Things are getting hot!" d20=9 d20=20 d6=1 4d6(2+4+6+5)=17 Wednesday October 6th, 2004 10:24:09 PM
Flea is searching the area around the boulder for a trap but doesn't find anything obvious. The whole area feels like a trap to her.
Mac applies his shoulder to the boulder but is unable to move it.
As Tishe watches, she first hears and then sees some kind of liquid falling from the sky. Suddenly gallons and gallons of some sort of liquid is falling among the group. Then a loud crashing is heard and a barrel crashes into the ground. It is a miracle it didn't land on anyone.
Unfortunately it wasn't the only barrel. The second one lands solidly on Tishe, smashing her to the ground and doing 17 points of damage.
Tishe looks up and sees a light falling end over end towards them from the very top of the tunnel.
Everyone has been drenched in the liquid except Flea and Mac. They were both splashed with it but they aren't soaked.
Grymash (hp72/70, ac21, prot. from evi11, neutral poison) d20+8=24 Wednesday October 6th, 2004 11:01:45 PM

Jake d20+6=23 d20+10=13 d20+9=27 Thursday October 7th, 2004 3:12:26 AM
Jake feels the first drop and immediately backs up to under the hole just because he's sorta warey about guarding the back. Then he sees something falling down from above. One guess as to what this sorta trap is. Jake quickly decides something. Whichever side of the hole the torch/fire is falling down on, he starts climbing up that wall with his spider climb while taking off his gauntlet. He steps up, and tries with all his careful tenacity and control of a warrior, to ignore the coming pain and everything, and grabs the stick with his hand, even if it's on fire. Then, with his other hand, he reaches down, unclamps his waterskin, and pours it all over the flaming stick.
(I dunno what sorta rolls would be needed for this improbable stunt...heck, there's all sorts of things that could go wrong. Like, a stray spark, or a bump against the wrong place... In any case, I made a reflex roll of 23, to 'catch' the thing. Or if you wish, I made a 13 to try and 'hit the torch', to catch it. I really don't know what the appropriate roll woudl be for that. Then, a fortitude save at DC 27 to maintain control and burn only my hand while I hold the stick. Anyways, all up to the DM if this stunt succeeds or not...and besides, the ants could always drop another one. Stupid smart ants.)

Trellus (ac 20, hp 46/50, Spider Climb) Thursday October 7th, 2004 10:22:37 AM
Picks are weaving too fast. Trellus takes one look at Gilan's flaming palm and quickly sketches a spell. A large ball of water appears over the druid's hand. [Create Water - 6 gallons of water dumps on Gilan]
Then, the cleric attempts to protect his friends. If he's got time, he casts another spell [Enlarge Person], and follows Jake up the shaft. If the fighter fails, Trellus plans to try and catch/block the torch. Unlike him, Trellus doesn't really have a way to put himself out.
If the torch is falling too fast for Trellus to cast Enlarge Person, he go without it. Not sure how many rounds at a time we're going through here
Tishe' (AC16 12/29) Thursday October 7th, 2004 4:36:28 PM
A barrel? A barrel! "They are dropping ... OWW! CRASH! rattle rattle rattle.
Tishe' lays momentarily dazed amidst the barrels of oil. Opening her pain-filled eyes she sees Jake and Trellus spidering up the walls to get the falling torch. Her mind begins working fast, and she knows that even if they stop this one, another and another will come down until they are all in flames. And the best way to not burn is to get out!
Scrambling up, she runs to Mac and strikes him with an Enlarge Person. A Huge Minotaur should be able to move a mountain!

DM George d100=35 2d6(6+1)=7 d6=4 Thursday October 7th, 2004 6:56:04 PM
Several actions happen at the same time. Mac and Grymash literally attack the boulder and between them both start pushing it back into the room.
Trellus soaks Gilan and extingishes his flame. He starts climbing the wall but that is all he can do this round.
Tishe darts forward and casts an enlarge person on Mac. Mac swells to his huge size and squeezes Grymash against the wall. Mac horn scraps against the ceiling and he has to bend over in an uncomfortable position.
Flea knows it is oil and is scared.
Jake scrambles up the wall and reaches out and snags the burning torch out of the air. Unfortunately he grabs it by the lite side and he goes up in flames and takes 10 points of damage. (1d6 from grabbing the torch and another 2d6 when his oil covered body ignites.) Jake must make a will save to hold onto the torch or it will drop. (I am not allowing another move at this point. Besides you have to keep one hand on the wall or you would fall)
OOC Jake gets one hero point for his brave actions. I am going to start giving them out during the combat instead of at the end from now on, so be heroic!)
Mac (AC:16, HP: 55/62, Darkvision 60', HUGE, Heavy CC: 2080lbs) d20+14=32 Thursday October 7th, 2004 9:03:56 PM

Mac sinks low to apply more force to the boulder and a little less to Gry as he makes a good attempt at getting the rock moving at a better pace - making more oil-free space for the rest of the Pack. [Check: 32]
"Follow!" he bellows under the strain.

Gilan [HP: 49/49 , AC: 18] Thursday October 7th, 2004 11:10:10 PM
Gilan sputters as he is suddenly drenched again, this time in water. He shakes himself off much like a dog when it is wet and glares to Trellus. "All you had to do was ask." He looks to his club hand that was once alight with a spell and mutters under his breathe.
Moving closer towards those that are working on the boulder he will reach out to touch Gry if he can. "Vara tel seldarine." Gry is wrapped in a web of natural nature armor that will enhance his natural armor class.

Being two sizes smaller than Mac, Grymash charges underneath him, between Mac's legs, and attacks the base of the boulder with his crowbar again. Mac's greater reach (15-ft as a huge creature) allows Gry to get in close and help push the boulder. (Strength check 21)
Jake (Hp 42/52) d20+2=22 Friday October 8th, 2004 8:21:48 AM
"Aaaaaaaaah! Guys...get away from the oil!" Jake pulls all his will together in one fantastic rush... I WILL NOT FALL...he thinks, ignoring the burning rushing along his body. Give my friends time...must let them get out of the way... must get up to the top, put out fire, stop the damned ant dropping torches...
The torch in his hand is merely one part of the living flame he has become. So he shoves it into his belt. All he has to do, he convinces himself, is just get up there, somewhere, and prevent anything from dropping down, and then put out his fire. So he begins walking up the walls on fire, a living flame...suffering sweetly, going up by touch, and keeping his eyes up on the top. If any other torches come down, he'll have to try another crazy maneuver, he realizes.

He looks up the shaft as the fighter goes up like dried grass. "Oh, Light."
Flea's plea breaks him out of his reverie. Hopping back down, the cleric calls out. "Everybody past that rock and out of the tunnel! Mac, grab Flea's cloak and help out Jake!"
Trellus is making the bold assumption that Mac and Gry have moved the rock far enough to escape.

Jake makes his save and decides to climb up the side of the wall, heroically trying to save his friends from his fate. For some odd reason, the flames don't even seem to hurt Jake that much as he makes his climb. (He takes a measly 5 points of damage. Jake needs to make another will save to keep climbing dc 15. If he fails my more than 5, he will fall.)
The others look on with horror and admiration in their eyes as he makes this sacrifice on their behalf. Grymash is able to push the boulder enough to allow normal size people in. The can squeeze around it. Mac in normal form will have problems and no it is still impossible.
The monkey grabs the water from Tishe and starts its climb.
Mac grabs a cloak from Flea and flies up after Jake. He should make it up to him next round. (How much longer for the fly spell?)

Heeding Trellus' words, Flea squeezes through the space created when the boulder was shoved aside by her pack-mates. She is a quiet as possible (Move Silently=16) and keeps her eyes and ears open as she passes into the space. OOC: The round after Mac hit the Myrmarsh he drank the potion, duration 3min (30 rounds). A couple of rounds getting/escorting Gilan and Tishe down to the intervening level as the fighting there wraps up. One round organising and 7.5 rounds getting to the base of the pit. One round looking and spotting the boulder, two more getting it to budge, and last round grabbing the cloak and setting off after Jake... I make that 14.5 rounds - call it 15, so there are 15 rounds of Mac's Fly (I could have put that differently...) left, not including the 1d6 rounds of 60' downward floating when it finally gives out.
Mac continues his airborne climb towards Jake, fumbling in his backpack for a potion.
"It's Mac - I've got you - Drink This! he rasps as he bundles him up in the cloak* and pops the stopper out of the Cure Moderate Wounds Potion (2d8+2) and presses it too his lips.

Trellus (ac 20, hp 46/50, Spider Climb) Monday October 11th, 2004 2:19:38 PM
Trellus looks on incredulously as Tishe' sends a monkey carrying a single water skin to put out the flaming kabob now enveloping Jake.
That lady is a few threads short, he decides.
"Out, out, out, out, out!" he cries. "Gry! You first!"
Of course, by the time the cleric says this, Flea is already through the opening. Well, at least she's protected against the poison.
Trellus follows Grymash through the opening.
Gilan [HP: 49/49 , AC: 18] [owl's wisdom] Monday October 11th, 2004 8:07:08 PM
Gilan lays a hand upon his own person and with a sudden burst of power he casts a spell upon himself. "Ama handasse." He then follows along behind the others past the boulder.
He pauses only long enough to question Trellus. "What about Jake?" He hopes that the fighter makes it back to them in one piece. What happens though if he is cut off by the ants.

DM George Monday October 11th, 2004 10:38:48 PM
OOC Sorry guys, sort of need Jake to post on this one.
Jake (37/52) d20+2=8 Tuesday October 12th, 2004 12:39:17 AM
Jake pushes upwards to make it to...well, somewhere, he can go out. And well, a lot of confusing things are going on down below, and it's hard to tell if you're on fire. In any case, it's just about then that he falls. Sigh. And so much effort put into surviving. Perhaps, just perhaps, Mac manages to catch him and put him out, or someone douses him with water, or perhaps they escape down the cave. In any case, as soon as he falls, Jake cringes inwardly and begins trying to put out his stuff as best he can, by rolling into a ball and smothering himsefl against the wall and all.
DM George 3d6(5+1+5)=11 d100=10 d6=4 Tuesday October 12th, 2004 8:41:57 AM
OOC Guys, I consider this yesterdays post so please all post again today and I will try to post again tonight to catch us up.
Jake is trying to get to the top, but finally succumbs to the pain, misses a hand hold and falls. He mouth opens to scream a warning to his friends but suddenly finds himself in the embrace of a very large Mac. Mac is working hard to put Jake out and feed him a potion at the same time.
He is unable to do both but does get Jake wrapped in a blanket and starts to try and put him out. (Will take Mac 2 combat rounds to extinguish Jake completely)
Mac's arm where oil had splashed him catches on fire (had a 25% chance and rolled a 10) and Mac takes 4 points of damage. He almost drops Jake when he is suddenly splashed with cold water. He looks over and sees a monkey chittering at him.
Flea, soon followed by others finds herself in a dark tunnel which stretches off to the west. The tunnel is only 8' wide and 8' tall. She realizes that part of the problem of moving the bloulder, was it was hitting the wall.
Mac (AC:16, HP: 51/62, Darkvision 60', Fly(Round 16 of 30), Neutralise Poison (from Trellus), HUGE[EP]) d20+2=19 Tuesday October 12th, 2004 9:39:06 AM
Mac keeps a grip of Jake in the cloak and mutters his thanks to the monkey.
He places the potion in Jake's hands as he continues to pat down the cloak and extinguish the flames.
With little concentration required, Mac flies back down towards the rest of the Pack.
"You did good work Jake. Drink as soon as you can."
Trellus (ac 20, hp 46/50, Spider Climb) 3d8(8+8+5)+5=26 Tuesday October 12th, 2004 1:22:25 PM
To Gilan, Trellus responds "Mac's got him." He hopes he sounded more confident than he's feeling right now.
Trying to get his bearings in the dark tunnel, the cleric waits for Flea and Grymash to start moving.
As long as he's waiting, he pulls out his healing wand, and taps the strange magic user. [Cure Serious Wounds - 26 hp healed]
Tishe' (AC16 12/29) [MikeK sub] Tuesday October 12th, 2004 4:52:17 PM
When Mac reaches ground level again, Tishe' dismisses the Enlarge Person spell.
Grymash d20+6=23 d20+2=5 d20+5=22 Tuesday October 12th, 2004 6:17:12 PM "Trellus, Flea ... weez stop for little bits ta wipe off dis oil!" Grymash puts away his crowbar (if its not possible to open the rock any further) and takes out some sacks and a cask of water. "Weez wash now! Quick!"
Taking a few handfuls of sand from the floor, Grymash starts rubbing it over the oily spots. (Strength check 23) The barbarian then breaks open on end of the cask with his fist and dips the sack cloth into the water. He then begins to vigorously wipe away the soiled oily areas. The whole time he keeps glancing around for any figures in the darkness. (Spot 5, Listen 22)
Gilan [HP: 49/49 , AC: 18] [owl's wisdom] Tuesday October 12th, 2004 9:29:12 PM
Gilan waits for the others to get into the tunnel before he starts to feel even slightly better. He does take the time to clean himself up as best he can with the stuff supplied by Grymash.
Glancing to Trellus he lets out a breath of air and looks to the ground. "Good." He is not sure about Trellus but he still does not feel too good. Too many things have tried to go wrong so far and he really does not want to be lit on fire again.
Jake Tuesday October 12th, 2004 10:15:10 PM
Jake squirms and tries to put out the remaining fires, patting them and stuff, with Mac's help. When he gets to the bottom, he sighs. "Hey, Trellus. These guys seem to have a LOT of oil. Probably be more fire traps like this. Do we have anything 'gainst fire?"
Flea (AC19, 32/35 HP, Protection from Evil, Trap Sense, Neutralize Poison) d20+7=15 d20+11=14 Tuesday October 12th, 2004 10:34:53 PM
Flea moves out of the way of the others, but not too far from the main group. She does a quick sneak and peak (Spot=15, Search/Detect Traps=14) but then becomes consumed with the task of ridding her clothes of the spots of oil in the same fashion as the half-orc.
DM George 3d6(1+6+4)=11 Tuesday October 12th, 2004 11:05:55 PM
Jake takes another 11 points of damage before he is able to extingish the flames. He is currently at 15 hitpoints and has burns all over his body. His clothes and equipment are in tatters.
The group stops and tries to clean themselves up a little bit and have some success but many of them were drenched in oil and would have to change clothes to really get themselves out of danger from flames. (remember over 100 gallons of oil was spilled down the tunnel.)
Flea ventures forward in the tunnel a little but the tunnel goes around a bend and she stops before she goes around it.
Mac is to large to fit in the smaller side tunnel and can not join the group in his current enlarged state.
I will figure the cleaning efforts took 60 seconds, so please deduct that time from the spells currently on.
It seems almost alarmingly quiet here.

Trellus follows Grymash's lead, doing his best to remove some of the excess oil.
At Jake's appearance, the cleric quickly moves to administer a couple more taps of the healing wand. [Cure Serious Wounds, twice - 52 hp healed]
"I got nuthin", he replies grimly to the fighter's question about fire protection.
This is just too bright. The ants know the place and where they are, and the pack doesn't know piggie poop.
"Keep totally shuttlecocked," he advises everyone, while waiting for Flea's report.

Mac passes his backpack, greataxe, 10' pole and heavy wooden shield before squeezing past the boulder, scraping his horns again as he goes.
Once through he wipes his horns down with the red sash that wrapped around them and his forehead. As he begins to regather his gear, he looks at the pole and shield, and hoists them up and asks, "Does anyone want these?"

Making his way over to Jake he gently takes the man's hand in his own and smiles at him. "Good job Jake...I always new you had a tad of crazy in you." He slips a little closer to him so that he can speak softly into his ear. "Besides, I think the girls were worried about you." Flea will tell the others about the red light. She will then trot along beside the barbarian, her shortsword ever present in her hand.
The rogue gets an idea, and decides to try and explain it to the half-orc. In a hoarse whisper, Flea tells Grymash, "if we can sneak up on any of those ant folks, Gry, let me try to sneak through them. If we can squeeze them between us, you know, attack from both sides, we can really crush 'em."

Still, he can't help but grin at Gry's "plan". "Let's weave," he says.

Trellus follows Flea and Gry, looking around carefully. [Spot 24, Listen 13]

She also takes time to cast a Mage Armor from a scroll on herself to get ready for the battle ahead.

Tishe leads the group towards the light with Grymash following close behind. As they get closer, they leaders can see that they are entering a large room.
The large room is almost a square in sharp around 100' wide, 120' and 20'. What could be described as large nests are in orderly rows in the room.
Another tunnel can be seen on the other end.
Several of the smaller formian are in this room, but on the far end of it.
Gilan [HP: 49/49 , AC: 18] [owl's wisdom] Thursday October 14th, 2004 9:25:08 PM
Gilan glances to the group and nods his head as the others speak up. "I would have to agree with Gry on this one...fast and hard." He thinks back to what they were told of the ant structure and has an idea of sorts. "We know that they have three types here...maybe the smaller ones that can band together and heal should be left to those of use with lesser combat skills." He gives a smile as he cannot help but hold back some of his own plans for the moment. "I have a couple of plans that should help out in that area."
He makes his way over to Mac and lays his hand on his shoulder. "Ama poldora." He gives Mac a smile as he lets his hand slip off his big shoulder. "You should feel more strength in your axe arm now." When the rest of the group is ready to move out so will he be.
Jake (AC 23, hp 52/52) Thursday October 14th, 2004 9:30:38 PM
"Ya think so?" Jake grins and looks over to Tishe and Flea. Yep. They're swooning inwards. He'll have to wear less shirts around them and stuff. Actually, maybe they'll spread the news back home to the girls like Dancer...this adventure stuff is great. After getting off as much of the oil off his ruined stuff, Jake tosses some of his equipment away with a sigh. Still, his metal stuff is mostly okay, at least. "This? Yeah, it's magic...er...sorta. The good magic, you know? Does predictable stuff, like makes it better."

Grymash steps in front of Tishe and looks at the bait left behind my the larger formain. (Wisdom check 20). "Thay here, jus hidin' from Gry eyes, but thay all sees pack."
Grymash reaches down in his pocket and pulls out what appears to be a scrap of poorly folded and blood-stained paper. He flicks open the tattered scroll and a rotting ogre ear gets flung out and splats on the floor. "Piggie dumps," mumbles the half-orc. Obviously the ear was a leftover and unwanted souvenir from their last battle. Grymash carefully reads the words of power and he instantly begins to feel the tingle of magik. His reflexes and movements become more fluid and responsive (Casting Cats Grace). Grymash grins with wicked satisfaction. He wasn't sure what the magic paper was going to do (Intelligence check 0). But it was worth a try and it payed off. :)
Grymash moves forward and harnesses his double axe with one hand and draws his mighty composite bow with the other. He positions himself to the left of the entrance, around 10-ft from the rest of the pack. He wants to create a little distance in order to free up some room and not concentrate the pack in one spot. He hopes the pack does the same. After a quick inspection of his surrounding area (Spot 15, Listen 23) Gry then draws an arrow and lets it soar at the small formain on the opposite side of the room.
(-2 for distance. Range 110-ft. HitAC 21 for 11 points of damage.)

She focuses on making the Ghost Sound resemble that of the cloud giant the pack had met earlier, hoping it might surprise and distract the ant-things and grant her party some element of surprise.
Flea arranges for the voice to boom out from a place quite the opposite the pack.

Grymash enters the room and heads to the left. Mac moves forward into the room and slightly right with Gilan and Trellus following him. Tishe follows closely behind those two.
OOC Grymash didn't get his arrow off before the log was set in motion but does have his bow out.
Jake and Flea sensing a trap hesitate at the door and Flea casts her spell.
The center formain worker can be seen working on a rope. Suddenly to the alarm of all who entered the room, a large 60' log is swinging horizontaly at them from the ceiling where it was hanging tied to the ceiling. It swoops down like a huge scythe. Unfortunately the Bloodpack is the wheat. (ooc it is really three thick logs fastened together. They are all around two and half feet thick. If you fail your saving throw, assume you have been knocked from your feet.
Everyone except Jake and Flea has to make a reflex save dc 20 vs dex or take 22 hitpoints of damage. If you save, you take half unless you have evasion.
The group then sees 4 heads pop up, 2 each in the nests about 40' into the room. Jake needs to make 4 saving throws dc 17 vs will.
The head formain appears from another nest, and launches a javelin at Mac which turns into a lightning bolt after it leaves his hand. Mac must make a dc of 14 or take 21 points of damage. 11 if he saves.
4 more warrior formian erupt from a nest and move towards Mac. They will be there next round
Close to 20 of the smaller formian emerge from nests farther back and are scurrying about.

(Reflex save 23)
Grymash tries to leap over the swinging logs. However they hit his lower legs and flips him over. Amazingly he lands on his feet. The pain he feels is muted by his anger. His legs would have probably been broken if it werent for the support of his steelgrass greaves. In anger, he launches an arrow at the formain who pulled the rope.
(-2 for distance. Range 110'. Hit AC: 23 for 14 points of damage)
Grymash wonders (Wisdom 15) for a second how these formain got these 60' logs over a 100 feet below the ground. There've been too many narrow, twisting hallways, no heavy rigging to be found! He quickly gets his mind back in the game and heads over to where Mac is located (Movement 40', but will stay out of the formain's reach because he doesnt have the appropriate weapon drawn). On the way there, he draws a potion out of his side belt pouch.

The phrase sixty foot of timber wanders through Mac's mind, looking for something to connect with. Unfortunately this will happen soon enough...
[Reflex Save: 15] Mac is struck awkwardly by the camo/stealth log and knocked off his... hmmm... George? Mac's still flying. Does he get hammered by the log into the back wall/ceiling for the same damage? Being knocked off his feet by the log and falling in the same space seems odd.
[Reflex Save: 18] The log knocks Mac out of the direct line of the incoming lightning Javelin, but not sufficently far to stop it in part arcing through his axe.
Mac gets perpendicular to the floor, and checking the log poses no further threat, staggers 20' or so back to where he was before the log came through, and readies his axe and stance for the incoming formian warriors.
OOC: Mac has his 10' Reach and an Attack of Opportunity in store for each (Combat Reflexes?) of the warriors (+13 to hit, 3d6+13 damage), with one Cleave in reserve.
Because Mac wasn't conciously flying, the spell doesn't really make a difference. If you were hovering there, I would say you would get smashed and pinned by the log against the log. You only have to get up this round.

Two things occur to Trellus as he watches a hundred feet of timber swing down upon him 1) Flea is doing an awfully bad job at sniffing these things out, and 2) Jake has been right more times in the last few minutes than he's been in years back home.
The cleric dutifully attempts to duck out of the way, not expecting much success. And he doesn't have any. [Reflex 15]
The log slams into the cleric, sending his head ringing. And then, all sorts of treadles start popping out of nests.
Trellus pulls his healing wand while crossing to the back of Mac. He taps the minotaur, helping ease his wounds. [Cure Serious Wounds - 20 hp healed]

Jake realizes he's right with a wince as the logs slam into his buds. Shoulda been me, he thinks...ah can take it, not Tishe or Gil... Raising his sword to move in after the rest, he suddenly feels a concussive wave of mind assaults battering him... it's unlike anything he's experienced, and though he resists, there's no way he could overcome all four at once. (I managed to only resist 1/4) And so it is that his mind is probably engulfd in the Formain's magic. (If I still have my action, which I assume I don't, I'll go ahead and move through my buddies, get an attack of opportunity from one of the Formains at the front, and then attack it. +10 to hit, 1d10+1d6+4 damage. Otherwise, Jake stands there somewhat confusedly.)
sorry I am going to take Jake over this round. Will allow you to play him next round. Trying to keep the game moving. To make some things easier, you might want to roll some will saves +2 for me in advance. You were able to throw one of the formian's off this round, but failed the other 2 rolls.

Hampered by her robe, the small woman does a very poor job of getting out of the way, and is smashed to the ground for the second time in a very short while by large pieces of wood.
Flung about like a rag doll, she finally comes to rest on the cavern floor. Shaking her head to clear the sparks in her eyes and pain in her body, she remains prone, and lits her wand to provide Grymash a bit more body.
"Collosia!" she snaps, and Grymash is affected by an Enlarge Person spell.

The log smashes into the wall and its chains will snap dropping it to the ground by the wall.
Grymash's flips over the log and then shoots the formian worker skewering it and killing it. He then starts to stride over to Mac while pulling a potion out. As he is walking over, he starts to grow.
Mac picks himself off the floor and staggers forward getting ready to attack any who come to close.
Gilan converts to his wasp shape and as he rises into the air he notices 4 more warriors clinging to the wall above the doorway where the bloodpack rushed in.
Trellus picks himself up and pulls out his wand while moving closer to Mac.
Flea darts forward and strikes at the formain Mrymarch but to here amazement bounces off the formain's natural armor. ooc sorry, but his ac is 28. If flea had rolled a natural 20 on the first roll, you would have hit.
Jake feels his mind seized and voices imploring him to attack the horned one. "No! Mac is my friend!" Jake thinks to himself but then here 2 of the three voices say, "He is going to hurt us. We are your friends. Protect us."
Jake moves forward and slashes Mac in the back, slicing down and activating the cold power of his sword. He does 16 points of damage to Mac who bellows in pain!
The Myrmarch doesn't like that Flea got so close so quickly and stings her for 10 and bites her for another 10 points of damage. Since she has a neutralize poison spell on she doesn't need to make a saving throw.
The warrior formians stop short just outside Mac's range and seemed to be poised waiting for something.
The 4 warriors clinging to the ceiling drop down and attack. One attacks Tishe stinging her for 8 points of damage an putting her unconcious. Tishe still needs to make a saving throw. fort save dc 14 constitution based
The second and third attack Trellus both stinging him and causing a total of 17 points of damage. Tellus needs to make a save of DC 14 twice vs fort consitution based.

Grymash feels himself getting larger. He looks back at Tishe to give her the thumbs up. However, he is just in time to watch her fall. "NOOO,"Gry shouts! He drops his bow and it quickly shrinks to its normal size (free action). He quickly places the small vial into his mouth and begins his charge on the formain standing over Tishe. After the first 5-ft of his charge, he pulls free his double axe from its harness and brings the huge blade down upon the formain warrior when he gets into range.
If the formain falls, Grymash glances down to see if she is still breathing (Spot10, Heal14). If the other formain by Gilan charges Grymash, he will take his attack of opportunity for having a superior reach. (AOO. Powerattack+5, twohanded+10. HitAC:14 miss. Tishe is down, Flea is about to be, Jake has been dominated, Mac is barely up, and he himself is barely up. Trellus grins at the irony -- of all the pack, the one dude who's usually bleeding all over the place is the one in the best shape.
Trellus decides to start with getting the healthy fighters back on his side. The cleric steps toward Jake and Mac, [5' step, no AoO] and carefully casts a spell on himself. [Casting on the defensive, Concentration check 23 vs DC 18 to avoid AoO]
[Cast Magic Circle vs Evil] "Jake," he tells the elf. "Stay within 10' of me."

Grymash reverses course and slaughters the formain warrior with one blow, chopping the creature in half. If falls on top of Tishe splattering her with gore.
He sees that Tishe is still alive but seems to be getting paler right in front of his eyes.
Flea grins with satisfaction as she chops in to the Mrymarch but knows she may have just made her last stab of defiance.
Tishe bleeds on in comfortable oblivion, until she is rudely brought back to the light. She sees a wasp on her shoulder and an anxious Grymash standing above her. ooc not really sure if a wildshaped druid can cast a spell while in wasp form, but will allow it this time until I here from the powers that be.)
Jake comes to his senses and quickly strikes out at FW5 putting it to the ground. he hears the voices still in his head telling him to strike at Mac.
Mac drains his potion and feels a little better.
Flea feels the sting enter her body and is savagely bitten as well. She slumps unconcious taking 17 points of damage and is at -5
Mac is surprised by a hoard of smaller workers running past him, heading towards Trellus and Jake. 8 in all. He scrambles to strike at them but is unable to because he had to lean his two handed weapon against him to fetch, open and drink his potion.
The warriors answer his taunt by charging forward themselves. 3 attack him and one moves forward to engage Trellus. One hits Mac for 8 points of damage and he must make a dc roll of 14 vs fort.
Trellus is stabbed by FW4 for 6 points of damage and needs to make a saving throw dc 14 vs fort. FW 6 misses.

Gilan feels an intrusion into his wasp mind but pushes it away with little effort. If he could smile he would but for now he shoots up a little ways over top of Tishe'.
Doing what appears to be a little dance he casts another of his spells. Though nothing can be seen a wall of wind appears near the Myrmarch. He twists it so that it cuts off any more of those little ants from getting to him. He will also lay it so that it is on top of some of the ones working on the big ant. Once again, if a wasp could smile he would be.

Jake goes back to back with Trellus and looks at their situation. Surrounded, separated, outnumbered, and facing weird magics. He unconsciously, for the first time since they learned it, sends out a heart pulse to his entire gang. Just his sheer joy at such a great fight getting over his link to the others. "This is better than that gnoll thing..." With that, following Trellus' and not Grymash's nearly indecipherable advice, he swings at the formain #8 that just attacked him, putting his strength behind the swing again. Unfortunately, his swings go wide. (Unless AC 15 hits...it'd do 21 damage if it did)

Mac is surprised by a hoard of smaller workers running past him, heading towards Trellus and Jake. 8 in all. Unable to bring his greataxe into play, he attempts to skewer half of them with his horns: 1) Hit AC 20 for 14 damage. 2) Hit AC 26 for 9 damage. 3) Hit AC 30 for 8 damage. 4) Hit AC 26 for 12 damage. Potential Cleave (might get lucky!) as the group rushes through hits AC 14 (probably not) for 10 damage.
Mac winces as the warrior hits but [Fort save: 28 vs 14, Nat.20!] feels no other ill effects.[Neutralize Poison didn't come into play there? I had to ask...]

Grymash smashes his enlarged axe into poor little FW8 but much to his surpise doesn't put the nasty little creature down.
Jake tries to claim the kill but misses.
Trellus feels the strength drain away from his body as the poison burns through his body. He takes 4 strengh damage. He feels a little better as the healing magic takes effect though.
Flea continues to bleed to death
Tishe casts her web on the workers, Myrmarch and Flea.
Gilan casts his windwall to further give the formain grief.
Tiev rolled a natural 16 for her will save. Does she get a +1 from anything?
Mac is awesome to watch as he literally goes into a dance of death. He kills 4 of the workers as they try to sneak by with his deadly sharp horns. He then kills FW3 and FW2 and badly wounds FW1

Grymash doesnt get it. Grim death is breathing down their necks (Fw8 and Fw6) and they continue to pound on Trellus. An aggrivated Gry spits the potion into hand and sticks back into his belt pouch (move-equivalent). He yells at Jake. "Gry gots these two piggies (Fw8 & Fw6)! Get dat one (Fw4), like Trellus said!" Gry points to the other formain (Fw4) just behind Jake.

The small woman can't spare any more attention for the Myrmarch (the white handed piggie!), because there are still four warriors killing her friends. Grymash confronts two, and Jake should take another, but that still leaves one standing over a fallen Mac and Trellus.
A quick pass and arcane word sends three magical missles into the wounded FW1 for 12 hit points of damage.

"AAAUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHH!!" cries Grymash. The barbarian has never felt so much pain. Blood vessels burst, muscles cramp, the brain swells and bones rattle from the wave of axiomatic energies pummeling his body. He feels as if his very soul is being ripped to shreds. His shrills are reduced to squeals as the air is forcibly squeezed from his lungs. He stands there shaking in excruciating agony.
While his eyes are strangled blind with white hot flashes of light, Grymash catches glimpses with his inner eye of a gnome standing before a great golden door. Grymash doesn't begin to try and understand why he sees it. Maybe it's an illusion brought on by the lawful magiks of the Myrmmarch. Or maybe it's an insightful passion brought on by intense pain of death. A gift given to priests from Gargul for those most sensitive to the passing of life's spark. Whatever it is, all he can instinctively do, while drool pours freely from his gaping, tusk-filled maw, is say her name, " f..l..e..a !"
Mac (AC: 6, HP: -3/62) d100=97 Friday October 22nd, 2004 3:52:03 AM ...a bright, warm light catches his attention and caresses his skin. His body slowly rocks by a force unseen and the familiar scent of the sea air wafts into his nostrils...

Trellus huddles under the repeated blows from the ant warriors. His body shudders as the previous poison wrecks havoc on his system.
This totally bites grass, he thinks. I am NOT letting my pack die!
Concentrating hard, the cleric casts a spell [Casting Defensively. Concentration check 32 to avoid AoO]
A glowing war hammer appears above FW4, and slams down on the ant warrior. [Spiritual Weapon. Atk ac21 for 7 hp damage]
Hoping Jake can help keep them off, Trellus takes a 5' step toward Mac.
"Tishe', do something to that beater!"
Stephen ooc: Friday October 22nd, 2004 9:43:18 AM
(George, just want to confirm the body count.
Only two Formain Warriors are left standing: Fw4 and Fw6. Fw6 are is severely injured and Fw4 is moderately injured. Fw5 is unconscious and dying. Fw1, Fw2, Fw3, Fw7 and Fw8 are dead. Is this correct?)
yeah sorry but you just happened to run into the biggest warrior that time. They had a hp spread from 15 to 35. I rolled them all individually. So to confirm, you have killed all of them except for the two wounded ones above. Of course there is a rather angry Myrmarch still around.

Gilan feels the waves of pure energy washing over his wasp form and for a minute he feels like crashing to the ground under it, but he keeps aloft. With what is left of his strength he flies towards the downed Flea and makes a nasty decision. He starts his change back to human form near her body landing next to her from ten foot in the air.
The dire wolf launches himself at the next nearest worker ant, if any. It's jaws snap shut with force trying to find and destroy those it has been summon to kill.

Tishe' (AC16 9/29) d4+1=3 2d4(1+4)+2=7 Friday October 22nd, 2004 1:25:35 PM
Chaos all around, but only two warriors threaten the 'Pack. The small woman ignores her own pain and the pieces of ants cast about the room. This is no time to succumb, and no time to miss. "And there is only one way to do that", she says to herself.
Raising her hands in a commanding gesture, she points once at FW6 and twice at FW4 in quick succession, striking FW6 for 3 damage, and FW4 with 7 damage from her missles.
Spells Spider Climb [45 minutes]
Tishe needs to roll spell resistance rolls. (Roll d20+your spellcaster level)
Jake (AC 25, 27 vs. evil) d20+12=21 d10=3 d6=2 d20+7=14 Friday October 22nd, 2004 7:12:32 PM
Jake sees some little missile things strike the warrior he's working on and glances at Tishe. Well, at least she's helping with her magic, hopefully. But he also half-expect the ant to somehow reflect the missiles or to digest them and grow...magic never works like it's supposed ta, he thinks. He maneuvers with his step (5' that is) into position to get at both that warrior and hte other warrior still facing Trellus. Then he hacks into it, intent on finishing it. (AC 21, 7 damage and 2 freezing damage) If that finished it he turns his attention to the other one, if not, then he continues slashing at the first one. (AC 14...probably bounces off i guess)

DM George "Victory but with a cost?" d20+6=26 Saturday October 23rd, 2004 2:22:11 PM
The spiritual hammer thuds into the formian warrior, (rolled you spell resisance check. Wasted a nice 20!) and Jake finishes it with his sword thrust.
Tishes magic missiles kill the other one.
The dire wolf runs out of the room trying to chase down the workers.
Gilan lands in the web next to Flea and changes form. Gilan needs to make a saving throw, or be slowed by the web. Reflex save 14
Flea and Mac get closer to death's door.
The Myrmarch looks at his fallen warriors and he seems to slump a little. He will look at the Bloodpack and in a raspy voice say, You have defeated our guardians, killed my warriors and my workers. You have even killed some of my taskmasters. Know you have forever earned my displeasure and some day I will revisit you and take my revenge. My queen calls me home in disgrace and I must obey. I and my kind will return and cleanse this world of chaos. I will take pleasure in cleansing you and converting you to law!"
With an audible pop, the Myrmarch disappears.
Tishe' Saturday October 23rd, 2004 5:11:44 PM
Not worrying if the Myrmarch's words are a ruse or not, Tishe' runs to Mac with a potion of cure light wounds to pour on his wounds.
A negligent wave ends her web spell, freeing Flea, Gilan, and the workers.
Grymash (hp72/32, ac24, enlarge, barkskin, cats grace, prot. from evil9, neutral poison) d8+2=9 d20+11=30 Saturday October 23rd, 2004 5:14:40 PM
Grymash feels the pain subside and is able to move again. He drops his double axe, and like his composite bow, it reverts to its normal size. He runs over to the web and invokes his supernatural ability, given to him by Gargul (Travel domain), the power Freedom of Movement(free action).
Grymash enters the webbed area with no impedement. He reaches down and lays his hands on Flea. "FLEA! Come back! COME BACK HERE! No go to da door!" He spontaneously casts feel good magik (burning Protection from Evil for Cure Light Wounds. Heals Flea for 9 points.) "Flea, youz theres? Talk wit words ta Gry!" Grymash picks her up and pulls her free from the web and lays her down on the floor.
(Freedom of Moment lasts 2 rounds. If too much time has passed, here is a Strength check of 30. Since combat is over, I put more than one round of actions in my post.)
Gilan [HP: 35/49 , AC: 20] [owl's wisdom] d20+6=7 Saturday October 23rd, 2004 5:24:54 PM
Gilan had just tried to make a move inte web and finds himself slowed. But to his amazement the web is suddenly gone and he is laying on the ground, free.
He activates a seal on his arm and touches his other hand to Flea. With a willing of power he floods her body with healing (1 HP healed for Flea). "Everyone, you have the ability to heal for a round...I advise you use it if needed, but it is only for a single point." He continues to lay on the ground, resting for a few minutes. He will release his dire wolf and dismiss his wind wall as well.
[Seal of Curing: this seal allows any and every character in the party to cast Cure Minor Wounds one time for a duration of one round as a standard action. This lets anyone stabilize a character who has fallen unconscious in combat]
Flea (AC20, -8+9+1+1=3/35 HP) d20+9=25 d20+11=17 Sunday October 24th, 2004 10:17:57 AM Flea listens for sounds from the other side (Listen=25). Is someone calling her name? She checks the door for traps (Search=17)...
"Come back here!" rings in her ears, and she is suddenly forcibly pulled away from the door. The gnome feels as if she is falling. Falling down a long dark tunnel, whirling and flailing around to find something to hold, and finding a thick root of some great tree sticking through the earth...
Flea opens her eye. She is laying on the cold floor of some cavern illuminated by a reddish glow, clasping onto the great muscled arm of Grymash Mountainback..."Gry? Is that you?"
Flea will feel for her wounds and be healed for 1 HP as per Gilan's Seal of Curing.
Trellus (ac 20, hp 12/50, Spiritual Weapon[2],Magic Circle vs Evil, Poisoned -8str) 3d8(5+3+1)+5=14 d8=6 Monday October 25th, 2004 8:57:58 AM Domi's Hammer hovers protectively over Trellus' shoulder as he steps over to Mac, wand in hand.
After tapping the taur with the healing wand, he worriedly looks over to Gilan and Grymash. "Is Flea shady?" he calls weakly.
[Heal 19 hp on Mac]
Mac (HP: 16/62) Monday October 25th, 2004 9:27:13 AM
With a low moan Mac comes around, and seeing Trellus and Tishe' nearby he smiles. "How did we do? Have we got the gem?"
DM George Monday October 25th, 2004 7:01:42 PM
Tishe dispels her web spell and frees the 9 formian workers who were emeshed in its coils. They promptly skitter out of the room and join the others who have fled. (Sorry Grymash, they take the long way around to avoid any AoO.)
Mac and Flea are brought back to conciousness and look up at the smiling and relieved faces of their friends.
Trellus is shaky on his feet but staggers over to Mac with cure wand in hand.
Jake is strangely quiet during the wind down of the battle. Maybe he is just weary and in need of a rest.
Suddenly the image of Father Dreem stands before you. He looks worried and says, "Soon you will have to make a choice. One that will affect all of your lives for the immediate future.
Your quest is almost done, as the gem with other treasure lies just beyond in the next chamber. You have a cruel choice you must make. As you know I have been watching you for some time now. You and friends of yours. A friend is in serious trouble, and is beset by fearsome foes! I can use my magic to bring your friend to you, but it will exhaust me and the rest of my magic that I have been hoarding over the years. You will be stuck here in these lands far away from your homes.
Quicky, you must choose. Life for your friend Anuk, or an easy trip home. Which is it to be?"
Gilan [HP: 48/49 , AC: 18] [owl's wisdom] d8+1=6 d8+1=4 d8+1=3 d20+9=11 d20+9=10 Monday October 25th, 2004 7:37:19 PM
Gilan looks around to the rest as he stands up. He pulls out his own curing wand, knowing that it is only low level but of some help. He makes the rounds to help in the healing processes, touching himself as he moves three times.
With a glance to Trellus he moves towards him after giving a CMW potion to Grymash to use. He also hands his wand to Grymash to make use of on Flea and himself. "Take care of the others as needed Gry." He pulls out another potion, lesser restoration, and slips it into Trellus's hands. "You are not looking too well." Though he is not too sure he thinks his friend is being effected by the ant poisons. "This will eleviate any damage done to you by the poison, though it will not remove it from your system."
With the flaring of Father Dreem back into life before the group he turns slowly. He listens with a growing sense of worry as he hears of Anuk and his plight. He looks to the others already knowing his own answer. "The pack is family...we stick together." He turns back to Father Dreem and nods in understanding. "For Anuk's safety and life I will brave the dangers here." He just hopes that they are up to the challenges that await them, but upon looking around he fears for some of what may meet the Bloodpack.
Let me know how many charges are needed from my wand? It currently has 39 after my own healing.
Mac (AC: 18, HP: 16/62) Monday October 25th, 2004 8:27:01 PM
Mac clambers to his feet as Father Dreem speaks. In turn he adds, "There would be no ease in your easy trip home. Return Anuk from his fate to us."
Flea (AC20, 3/35 HP) Monday October 25th, 2004 9:24:22 PM
Clutching at her wounds, the gnome gets up on her knees. When she sees the druid offer the cleric a potion, she pulls one just like it from her pack. "Please," she implores, "take this one too!" (Potion Lesser Restoration won in L&B)
"'Nuk? You can find Anuk!?!?" Flea isn't too worried about roaming around in some foreign land, and she never really did like those beater monks back in Rattledam. It isn't a hard decision to make.
Grymash (hp72/64, enlarge) d8+1=9 d8+1=6 d8+1=4 d8+1=4 d8+1=9 d8+1=6 d8+1=7 d8+1=4 Monday October 25th, 2004 10:53:41 PM
Grymash's eyes widen as Flea gets up. "FLEA!! Flea live again!! Gry's words call Flea back from dead! Jus like befores! GARGUL BLESS GRY!" The huge muscle-bound half-orc bows his head to the ground, humbling himself before his god. He mutters prayers of thanks and praise.
His prayers are interrupted by Gilan handing him a potion and his wand. He lifts his head up to face the druid. He's met with the warmest smile from Grymash's tear-stained face. The big barbarian cant help but give Gilan a not-so-gentle hug. "Yes, yes! Gry finish healin' wit Gilan's feel good stick. FLEA, here! Take da magik water! It make ya feel reals gute." Grymash hands the Cure Moderate Wounds potion to the gnome.
Grymash hears the words of Dreem boy and gives his answer. "Dat stoopid question! Gry want Nuk back! Weez can walk home!" Grymash then uses a few taps of the wand to heal himself to a tolerable level (5 charges = 32 points of healing). He then taps Flea a few times (3 charges = 17 points of healing)
(8 charges used altogether)
Grymash Monday October 25th, 2004 11:01:08 PM "Uhh, did Dreem boy says treasure?!" Another big toothy grin forms on his face.
Jake Monday October 25th, 2004 11:50:53 PM
Jake shakes his head, and takes a swig of water. None of the enemies seems to deadly, but he regards the corpses and such intently, eady to strike if anyhting more threatens. (Sorry for the posting, Im currently in Vancouver)
Trellus (ac 20, hp 12/50, Magic Circle vs Evil, Poisoned -2str) 2d8(6+2)+3=11 d4=3 d4=3 Tuesday October 26th, 2004 9:58:51 AM
Trellus looks gratefully at Gry and Gilan for getting to Flea in time.
He takes all the offered potions, feeding one to Mac [Cure Moderate Wounds - 11 hp healed]. He looks at the other two potions. He hates being a burden. He's supposed to take care of his pack, not the other way 'round.
Trellus shakes his head, clearing his mind. Now he's thinking like Jake.... The cleric slams both potions [6 str restored].
Father Dreem's choice is, of course, no choice at all. "Bring us Anuk," he says, joining the chorus of his friends. "Although any hints you can give us about where we are or how to get home would be shady."
Gilan [HP: 48/49 , AC: 18] [owl's wisdom] Tuesday October 26th, 2004 2:40:25 PM
Gilan glances to the area that Father Dreem commented on there being treasure. He slowly moves that way with his shield and club in hand. While the others are occupied he will see what is there and if he has to trip any traps so that the rest can stay safe.
"Wold Mother look after me." He smiles as he moves along, feeling like he is actually doing something useful for once.
8 charges so far...anyone else need some healing??
DM George Tuesday October 26th, 2004 3:02:38 PM
The Bloodpack is moping up after the battle and Jake moves beyond the circle of protection range. Immediately the voices are back. "Come to us...they whisper. Climb up to us."
Jake starts towards the entrance.
Gilan moves forward through the room towards the other entrance. He passes many nests. They seem to be built of straw, and sticks and they are lined with clothes. They look comfortable...if your an oversized ant.
Father Dreem says, "Please go into the other room as my magic is stronger there closer to the cyrstal. I will need all my power to get your friend with you."
As you start moving along, he will say to the Bloodpack, "You are currently in an area known as the Scab. It is a mountainous area dominated by volcano's and monsters. I suggest you try to leave this area quickly as it is dangerous to be here. Your journey home will not be easy. You have 1000 of miles to cross, and need to find a ship capable of carrying you home to the Southern Continent.
Tishe' (AC 16 HP 9/29) Tuesday October 26th, 2004 3:25:19 PM
The small woman nods silently with her 'pack, Anuk's life is worth being lost for a very long time indeed.
It takes her a moment to realize she hasn't done anything other than sit beside Trellus and Mac and nod along. "Must be from the hit by the barrel", she says, rubbing her head. "By the Wold Mother, I would accept some magic to relieve my wounds."
After getting healed, she awaits Father Dreem's magic to bring Anuk, and then will follow the 'pack to the treasure room.

Grymash spots (7) Jake trott off to join the ant treadles. "Piggie Dumps! Thay still gots Jake in da head!" The half-orc darts off after Jake. Its good that Jake is wearing his heavy armor because that makes Gry twice as fast as his half-elf packmate.
(Grapple attack on Jake: Charge +2. Gry's base move 40' in light armor. Jake's base move 20' with medium armor. Jake gets no Dex to AC if running. Hit Touch AC: 28. Grapple check 37. Strength check 20 to keep him held in a massive hold.)
"TISHE! Quick, hit'em in da head wit da magik!" yells the barbarian cleric.
Trellus (ac 20, hp 12/50, Magic Circle vs Evil, Poisoned -2str) Tuesday October 26th, 2004 3:35:30 PM
"Whoops. Hold up Jake! Get back here!" Trellus runs after his friend, getting him back into the sphere of his Magic Circle.
"Looks like you need to stick with me a bit longer," he says, ginning. Then, he turns around with the fighter and quickly escorts him into the other room.
"Tishe, we need a Dispel over here."
As Trellus enters the other room, Father Dreem's words finally register....A thousand miles. Light.
"Which way is fastest out of the Scab?" he calls. "North? South? Which way?"
Mac (AC: 18, HP: 27/62) Tuesday October 26th, 2004 5:39:04 PM "Gilan? When everyone else is fully healed, please come back an' see me."
Mac waits with Tishe' until the concerns with Jake are dealt with, and then (if time permits) he follows Trellus.

Flea gives the big barbarian a wordless hug, squeezing his leg for all she is worth. When he takes off after Jake, she unstoppers the vial, and quaffs the potion. The effect is instantanious, and the rogue watches in amazement as her wounds are sealed, leaving only the fine white lines of scars.
"Did somebody say treasure?" the rogue says to no one in particular, as she starts after Gilan, picking up what remains of her burned cloak from where it was dropped on the cavern floor.
Flea scans the area as she carefully makes after the druid. (Spot=7, Search=19)
Jake Wednesday October 27th, 2004 12:27:17 AM
Jake wanders towards the voice, as he's instructed...then a big ugly half-orc plows into him. "Hey, Gry, let go...I've gotta go somewhere."
Gilan [HP: 48/49 , AC: 18] [owl's wisdom] d8+1=3 d8+1=7 d8+1=6 d8+1=5 d8+1=4 d8+1=4 d8+1=7 Wednesday October 27th, 2004 11:09:36 AM
Gilan stops and gives the big minotaur a smile. Having gotten back his wand earlier he hits his friend with it a few times to give him some healing. "That should get you back on your feet big guy." He slips the wand back into a hidden slot in his boot as he continues to go to the next room.
DM George d20+6=25 d20+6=24 Wednesday October 27th, 2004 7:29:24 PM
OOC Please let me know how many charges are on each healing wand left. Thanks.
Grymash grabs and holds Jake without any problems and restrains him. When Trellus moves close again, the voices don't seem so urgent to Jake.
Tishe moves forward and casts dispel magic on Jake targeting him. Suddenly the voices in Jake's head are quiet.
OOC Looks like we are gonna need someone to play Tishe for a while? Any takers?
Father Dreem suddenly disappears but Gilan sees him reappear in the next chamber. "Hurry please! The gem trapping me is in this chest."
Gilan sees two chests on the wall. The room also contains one nest, a larger and more comfortable looking nest, than the others.
Grymash Wednesday October 27th, 2004 8:36:12 PM
Once Jake has gained his wits with the help of Trellus' spell, Grymash feels its safe to release him. However he hangs close just incase Jake gets the feeling to switch packs again.
As Grymash follows everyone into the final chamber, he smells a new odor eminating from his body. His snout scrunches from the scent and his pleasant half-orcian face winces into a wrinkled grotesque expression. Gry realizes what he's done. He got Jake's perfume on him when he grappled with him. "AHHH, Piggie Duumps!" Gry cant understand why Jake thinks the girls like that stuff.
His attention quickly turns to the chests in the final chamber. He wonders what's going to happen next.
DM George Thursday October 28th, 2004 8:55:15 AM
OOC sorry guys for the quick post but I am going on DM vacation next week and want to get things wrapped up.
First off, Everyone gets 4000 experience points and 1 hero point for excellent play.
That was the good news, the bad news is you are in the middle of nowhere right now and will not have access to the catacombs until you get to civilization. Guess your gonna have to figure things out the old fashioned way. Have fun with it!
The party has Flea check the chests and she discovers them unlocked. When she opens them, her smile takes in her ears.
The first chest contains mounds of treasure neatly organized by compartment. The group takes some time to count it and discovers they have 1000 pps, 2000 gps, 3 opals,1 diamond, and 20 pearls.
Examination of the second chest reveals several items:
a wooden box with a ring in it a pair of boots a quiver a wand a horn a pearl 2 large red rubies
As the group is counting the loot, Father Dreem seems to be floating with his eyes closed. He concentrates and suddenly a rift is opened. The group can see the plains through the rift, and a familiar form crouched there with his back to them.
Father Dreem reaches through and grabs the warrior by the scruff of the neck and pulls him through much to the warrior's surprise. Anuk is dumped on the floor and appears to be quite battered. (Feel free to post Anuk)
Dreem then notices the gems and exclaims. "Two Gems! He must have imprisioned another poor soul. You must crush both of them!"
Mac d20+2=15 d20+1=19 Thursday October 28th, 2004 9:57:23 AM "Thank ye Gilan"
Later in the treasure room: "NAE we must! Not until we know who or what it is we are unleashing upon the world!" [Int Check: 15, Sense Motive Check: 19] "...and donnae be think'n' about tell'n' us the wrong gem t' smash. One gem only. Please be sure t' pick y' own."
In what he expects will be the ensuing 'debate' Mac quietly intones, "Domi. Make me an instrument of ye will."
Grymash Thursday October 28th, 2004 10:35:11 AM "Whutever shiny pretty rock weez choose ta smash, lets wrap it up in somethin' first so da pieces no scatter. It be still wurth some gold ginglies, Gry thinks."
Muttering a few words of power, Grymash concentrates on the items to see if anything magical reveals itself. (Casting Detect Magic)
Gilan [HP: 48/49 , AC: 18] [owl's wisdom] Thursday October 28th, 2004 1:08:19 PM
Gilan pats Mac on the shoulder as best he can and just smiles. "Don't mention it." He follows the rest into the next room and waits as Flea pours over the two chests.
The discovery of two gems leaves him a little puzzled, but the idea of smashing both without knowing who is in the second does make him nervous. "I would have to agree with Mac, Father Dreem....unless we can be sure that this is not an evil soul then I would be against it at this time." He looks to the others to see what they would have to say on this subject. He does nod as Gry speaks up about covering the gem cloth to save the shattered shards. "Gry is right, the shards maybe worth some money as well...unless the are disintigrated in the breaking process."
Grymash Thursday October 28th, 2004 1:16:07 PM
Grymash eyes widen as Gilan speaks of the gems. He never thought that something evil could be released by breaking them. "If pack wait till mornin', Gry can tell ya if da gem be evils or not! Nuthin' can hides from da Eye of Gargul!"
Trellus (ac 20, hp 36/59, Magic Circle vs Evil, Poisoned -2str) d8+1=9 d8+1=6 d20+8=20 Thursday October 28th, 2004 1:44:03 PM
[OOC - I'll do Tishe. Can you send me her sheet?]
Walking back to the treasure room, Trellus downs two potions, helping staunch the bleeding somewhat. [Cure Light Wounds - 15 hp total].
He looks on anxiously as Anuk is snatched from wherever he was. When his friend pops through, the cleric hovers protectively, looking him over [Heal 20] "Dude, you shady?" he asks the man.
Trellus was all ready to swing away on both gems when Mac and Gry speak. They got a point, he admits to himself. He looks to Father Dreem to see if the man can identify his own gem.
Tishe' (AC 16 HP 9/29) Thursday October 28th, 2004 1:47:11 PM
The girl steps up to Gilan. "Um, could you heal me, too?"
Grymash Thursday October 28th, 2004 2:38:59 PM "Uh, Tishe! Can ya hit Jake wit your magik. Them ant treadles still be gnawin' at Jake's noggin!"

Gilan smiles and nods to Tishe' as she asks for healing. "I ya had to do was let me know." He taps her a couple of times for healing. He also slips over and taps Trellus for a little healing as well. Knowing that his wand is almost exhausted he looks to everyone as they talk over stuff. "Anyone else??"
Sorry for the illegal second post, but this was stuff that I would have done with my post as I made no real actions. Hope it is ok with you George. You did get me to use up some more of my only healing wand. :)
Flea Thursday October 28th, 2004 6:06:54 PM "Stuff!" yelps the rogue as she eyes the treasure, "Lots of shady stuff!"
Before she has an opportunity to start investigating the loot, Anuk is pulling out of seemingly nowhere, and the gnome is distracted from the treasure.
"'Nuk!" she squeals.
Anuk [HP 9/34, AC 21] Thursday October 28th, 2004 8:26:53 PM
Landing with a thud on the floor, Anuk's eyes fly wildly around the room. He grips his bow with one hand, and a quiver containging only 3 arrows is strapped to his back.
"Wha?!!" he repeats over and over for a few moments as the shock and sudden change sets in. Scrambling to his knees he looks each of you in the eyes.
"Gry? Flea? Gilan? T-trellus? Everyone? My pack? Am I dreaming?! Is that really you, Jake?"
DM George Thursday October 28th, 2004 10:12:53 PM
Father Dreem floats over and hovers above the gem on the right side. He says, "This is mine. You are right to exercise caution in your judgements. We don't know if it is a demon or a saint in here. For all we know it could be Valdor himself trapped and hidden away.
Use caution but don't possibly trap an innocent forever in this torment because you are afraid. It is your choice. I am grateful for what you have done for me.
Please release me now."
Jake Thursday October 28th, 2004 11:21:20 PM
Jake shakes his head...mumbling something like "Pardon me, if ya don't wanna smell lahk one of 'dem wild smellgrasses that's all good an stuff..." He keeps near Trellus and gives Tishe a gentle, awkward pat on the shoulder, sorta camarade-like. "Ah, thank ya, for getting rid of that magic stuff." He looks over to the gem, and decides to let Trellus decide what to do. It could backfire, he knows, but, really, that guy seemed so nice, there's no way it could be too bad...
Mac Friday October 29th, 2004 4:01:10 AM
The taur nods to Gilan and Gry. "I've got just the thing." From out of his backpack he pulls his neatly rolled Weaponsmith's toolkit/apron branded with the symbol of Domi. From one of the pockets he draws a forge hammer/mallet. "This would be the right tool for the job. Let's have a' it!.. No offence meant Father Dreem."
Grymash (Guidance) d20+13=30 d20+5=21 d20+6=24 Friday October 29th, 2004 10:17:24 AM
Grymash is getting impatient. Dealings with the dead is his job anyway. He mumbles a few words in prayer, asking for guidance (guidance spell), and takes the big ruby that Father Dreem pointed to. He then takes the apron that Mac produced and lays it on the floor. After placing the ruby on top of the apron, he folds garmet over the ruby, so no pieces would escape after being hit. Then taking the hammer, Grymash looks up to the heavens and then Father Dreem and says, "All souls belong ta Gargul. Yooz time for rest has come. My lord awaits, hurry to him. Gry gift ta yooz is death an rest!" With those final words, Grymash brings the hammer down on the ruby with just enough force to make it break.
(Rolling saves just in case! Fort 30, Ref 21, Will 24. Wow! Just anticipating something to happen. This being your last day before DM vacation and all. Add +2 to each save if something evil is about to happen. We're all standing in Trellus' MCAE spells area effect.)
Gilan [HP: 48/49 , AC: 18] [owl's wisdom] Friday October 29th, 2004 3:18:23 PM
Gilan gives Anuk a big smile as he moves over to embrace the man. "Welcome back to the pack...brother." He holds the man at arms length and shakes his head. "You look a little worse for the wear." He laughs lightly as he looks around to the others with the beginning of tears in his eyes.
With a turn to the others he pulls Anuk forward and gestures to the others. "Some of us you will remember but we have added a couple of new ones to out number." He will let the others introduce themselves to Anuk as well as let him intorduce himself to them.
He turns to Father Dreem and gives him a serious nod. "Thank you for the understanding in our caution...if it would not hurt we will wait till the morn to crack the other gem." He does not say it but he is hoping that Father Dreem is right and the spirit trapped inside is good. "The spirit can then be freed, depending on it's balance."
Anuk Friday October 29th, 2004 3:30:23 PM
Anuk rises to his feet and returns Gilan's friendly embrace. His wide grin slowly spreads across his face for the first time in many weeks. He is grateful to see his friends--his family--again.
"But...light, the raiders...I was in the grass...where...how...?" His mumbling comes in spurts and stops, then he sees Grymash raising his hammer and realizes that something bigger is going on. The time for questions will be soon, but not now. Weak with exhaustion from his recent fighting, he slumps quietly to the floor and rests, watching what happens with wonder and interest.
DM George Friday October 29th, 2004 11:49:00 PM
Grymash takes his hammer and smashes the gem softly but firmly. Nothing really happens. The halforc looks under the blanket and sees the gem intact underneath him.
He covers it back up and smashes down with all of his might and you hear a pop. A strange smoke seems to rise from the blanket and incompass Father Dreem. A look of rapture comes over the priet's face and he looks down at the group and back up to the sky. "Yes father I am coming..."
He glances back to the pack and everyone is astounded at the change. He no longer looks old. He looks to be in the prime of his life. Goose bumps raise on arms as he says, "Thank you. Alemi bless you all. He already has blessed me." He then slowly fades away smiling in benediction at the pack.
When Grymash opens the blanket he finds nothing of the gem left.
OOC OK folks, I hope you have enjoyed the module. I request that you don't do anything with the other gem til I return from DM vacation. It is going to be important later, and I don't want to ruin Carla's surpises.
Carla the game is all yours. Enjoy. I will email you a list of the magic items so the party can play with them if they want.
Trellus (ac 20, hp 47/59, Magic Circle vs Evil, Poisoned -2str) 2d8(1+3)+7=11 d8=4 Saturday October 30th, 2004 9:12:03 AM
Trellus takes the healing from Gilan with a wink, and then casts his own spell on Anuk. [Spontaneous Cure Moderate Wounds - 14 hp healed]
Looking on in eager anticipation, his watches Father Dreem go back to Gargul. Then, he looks around.
"Well, Piggie poop" he mutters. "I was hoping we'd at least get woven out of this cave." The cleric takes a deep cleansing breath. "Dudes, we gotta get outta here before Mr. Ant Beater comes popping back with more barrels of oil. Let's grab all this stuff and make tracks."
Trellus claps his old friend Anuk on the shoulder. "Well, 'Nuk, I got good news and I got bad news..." He proceeds to fill the ranger in on the basic situation - under an anthill with mind controlling ants, 1000 miles from home in someplace called the Scab, and no immediate prospects for getting back.
Flea d20+9=15 Saturday October 30th, 2004 10:04:55 PM
The rogue gives Anuk a hug. "I've really missed you, 'Nuk! Nobody 'dances' like you when its time to weave around the bad guys!"
As the others take their turn with the returned comrad, Flea goes over to the treasure and gives it a quick appraisal. (Appraise=15) "I wonder how we're going to get this stuff out of here? I wonder how we're going to get out of here?" she says out loud, not relishing the idea of a climb back up the hole, but not crazy about the idea of spending a night in an ant's nest either.
Grymash Sunday October 31st, 2004 3:48:52 AM
Grymash pulls the folds of the apron back to see the large ruby completely obliterated. He sighs heavily and says to Gargul, "yooz will be done."
The half-orc hears Flea's comments. "Whah!! Nuk dancing wit bad guys?! Why ya do dat? Nuk suppost ta shoot them, not dance. Gute thang dat weez find ya." Grymash also gives Anuk a big constricting, bone-crushing hug. Almost lifting the poor ranger off the ground.
Walking over to the treasure left behind by the formain, he stands next to Flea to get a better look at the loot. "Gry wonder if those boots like Fleas. Those boots make ya faster than Gry. Wonder what da horn sound like." There is an awkward silence and Grymash finally kneels down next to Flea and asks in a lower voice. "Uhhh, Flea! When ya wuz dead, an in front of Lord Gargul, did Gargul talk wit words 'bout Gry? Do he say gute words 'bout Gry?"
Mac Sunday October 31st, 2004 5:39:42 AM
In amongst the greetings and catch ups, Mac adds, "Good to see ye again Anuk!"
Mac thinks for a moment. "If we have the magic I could maybe fly us out. Do we have any Fly and an Enlarge Person or Bull's Strength to spare?"
...drifting on a raft... shudder!
Gilan Sunday October 31st, 2004 11:56:39 AM
Gilan nods as Trellus comments on getting out of here and soon. It would not be a good idea to let the antz regroup. "The only way I saw out of here was the way we came...did anyone see any other paths??" He looks around to see what the others have to say.
He ponders his last remaining spells and shakes his head, knowing that he has little that will be of use. As he paces a little he suddenly has a flash of inspiration that he cannot believe he overlooked. "I can still summon up a master of the air....he should be able to carry at least some of us up the shaft." He figures that a rope will take care of the rest of them getting up.

Anuk [AC 21 / HP 23] Sunday October 31st, 2004 3:14:36 PM
Anuk gratefully receives healing from Trellus and the welcoming embraces of his friends. It feels good to be back in the company of his pack. He sends out a heart touch to all present to say thank you.
"Gry, it's not actually dancing, see, what Flea means is--*OOF!*" The half-orc's hug nearly squeezes the stuffing out of Anuk. Probably best to explain a little later, he thinks.
When he learns about their situation, Anuk is eager to help whereever he can. "I've only got three arrows left, but I've still got my sword with me.. Looks like we might get a chance to dance together again, Flea." He says with a wink.
He gathers up his bow and prepares to leave with the rest of the pack.
Jake Sunday October 31st, 2004 6:18:18 PM
The stolid fighter smiles and relaxes against the wall, feeling tired, even though he's hardly hurt from all this fighting. He ponders if he could get away with acting overexcited and kissing Tishe in a swooning move as celebration. Then he ponders the money, and finds himself wrapped up in examining the gems with the others, particularly that unbroken one.
