In the Thick of It

A Safer Port of Call. (DM Jim)
Wednesday November 24th, 2004 12:49:02 AM

The circle is indeed safe as Solgrin can attest to and does. He has seen them used before as a focus for a teleport spell though he has not the power to do it himself.

The very air around the group and in the garden seems to change as power swells up around you. Lady Solara's eyes open to show only the whites as she pulls further on the powers of the Wold to bend to her will. Words spoken in a strange language seem to tumble from her lips as she falls deeper into the power.

The big circle begins to glow lightly at first and then builds in intensity till finally it is blinding. Then it seems to go out as the ground turns to an inky black in the circle, while all the rest is still green. Everyone suddenly seems to be mired in what could be tar or even quicksand and a light sucking feeling takes hold on your feet. The group finds that they cannot move their feet and then their legs as the blackness pulls them further down into it. By the time you are up to your chest, Lady Solara's eyes are back to normal and she finally is able to speak...though weakly. "South Harbor is as close as I could get you. Then again the lady waits you there." She laughs lightly at the looks upon your faces as the blackness pulls you even further and a numbing cold takes hold in your body, that is in the black.

Finally you are all pulled under to what feels like your deaths. Though you cannot breathe persay, you find that you can survive quite well. Then you are through the portal and falling?? Yes falling some six feet to land in a soft pile of a substance. *Reflex 18 or fall down when you land, Fortitude 18 to keep from throwing up if you do fall down, Fortitude 14 if you do not fall down just to keep from getting nausious* For all the group the first thing that hits you is the sudden stench of something very unpleasant and it is worse for those that fell down. You find yourselves standing or laying in two feet of the stinkiest manure that could have graced the Wold.

You think that you hear laughing for a few seconds from the Lady Solara and then you notice a teenage boy standing with a shovel. Though when he broke into laughter he dropped the shovel and is currently holding his sides, while in a fit of laughter.

Leets  d20+5=9 d20+10=23 d20+10=26
Wednesday November 24th, 2004 3:36:21 AM

With a huge :::SPLASH!!!::: Leets lands in the stinky thing, not even managing to stay on his four hooves since the awful ground (or missing ground) is so slimy...

Grimacing as he smells his own body and hands, he tries to stand up on his four legs as honorably as he can. When he see the boy laughing, he looks behind him to get a look at his comrades...

Brahmah  d20+7=20 d20+9=16 d20+9=15
Wednesday November 24th, 2004 4:18:56 AM

The minotaur, still unsure about the spell, and virtually dragged into the circle by Solgrin, manages to keep his feet and his lunch as he lands on both feet with a great *THUD*. The looks around at his feet to see if he's dropped anything. Checks his pouchs, pack, etc.

When his mind stops spinning, he sees the boy laughing. He lurches at the kid and snorts a rather gutteral sound.

He helps Leets to his hooves.
"Centaurs aren't great at flying, are they friend." He smiles.

Brahmah then puts his hands on his sides and begins laughing and slowly approaches the boy. Suddenly stopping his laughter he lurks over the child.
"South Harbor. Which way?" The minotaur raises an eyebrow, dark eyes peering into the boy's soul, unblinking.

Flat-top  d20+6=11 d20+10=15 d20+10=27
Wednesday November 24th, 2004 9:37:48 AM

Flat-top does not want to step in that circle, but with Kanchana's soft voice and oh those eyes of hers, he follows her.

Then the darkness turns into blackness, the spinning starts your stomack to go soure, torns in to nausious. The last thing he hears is the Lady lau ghing. The spining and the droping are going faster and Faster. Until he drops into something soft, lumpy wet stuff that does not smell very much.

Flat-top tries to get up but slips and fall down again, he has to turn over to the other side of him to get his hoves on some hard ground. He gets on his hoves, up chuck his beautiful salad into this brown stinky stuff.

But the laughing goes on, Flat-top has this stuff all over him. In his hair, in his main, all over his skin and horse hide. He look up to see Brahmah snarl at the boy. Boy! does he look funny! Looking at the other Minotaurs, Leets and Solgun (who is as dirty as he is), he start to chuckle. Looking at Zeoll (and his Crock is none too happy)and Toros trying to take some solid stuff out of his main. Now Flat-top is laughing at them all, untill Kanchana come into view. He stop his laughing, asking her "Did you have a soft landing,Kitten?"

Zeoll  d20+4=10 d20+5=17
Wednesday November 24th, 2004 3:25:35 PM

Zeoll falls in the muck (Reflex 10) and tries to keep his breakfast -- then heaves it all up (Fort 17). Miserable, covered in his own filth and the filth of manure, Zeoll crawls out of the stinky mess as best he can, shaking and coughing.

But why does he feel like this is the least he deserves?

[OOC: Ceil, please roll for Croc. His Reflex Save is +5. His Fortitude save is +7. I'll send you his other stats soon.]

Solgrin  d20+3=22 d20+2=11
Wednesday November 24th, 2004 4:40:48 PM

Solgrin falls into the muck with the rest of the Chosen and is able to remain standing. Unable to keep his last meal Solgrin heaves it all up.

Solgrin looks around at the other Chosen and the laughing boy. Solgrin moves away from the manure then casts Prestidigitation cleaning himself and Rozca.

Solgrin then looks around to see where the Chosen has been teleported to.

Kanchana  d20+6=12 d20+8=17
Wednesday November 24th, 2004 4:43:56 PM

Kanchana is as displeased as the rest with what seems a trap. She was just about to cast an entanglement spell on Lady Solara when everything goes black, then terra firma disappears and dizzy confusion takes over.
Not quite prepared for this the she-wemic plunges into the muck with a nasty squelching splash. To her credit she is able to keep her lunch down longer then most, but the tolls of portal travel and the gods awful stink with out in the end. Kanchana purges her stomach.
The Druidess has no concern for the laughing young human at first. She would have snarled at him but Brahmah seems to have the situation in hand.
"too soft! No worst than anyone else it seems though..." Kanchana answers Flat-top as she extricates herself from the dung heap.
Hopefully Ilder stayed safe and clean in Kanchana's belt pouch.
Once the Druidess is out of the dung heap she will scrape off as much of the muck as she can from herself and her gear. Kanchana will look for water to bathe in, if she finds none then she will cast Create Water over herself and scrub herself and her gear clean (creates a heck of a lot of water!).

(Reflex 12, Fortitude 17)

Toros  d20=16 d20=2
Wednesday November 24th, 2004 7:52:25 PM

OOC: I am celebrating my birth-week, which has started two days a go. Hope you join enjoying , or enjoy joining it.

Toros feels nausious, but after all, he thinks this is fair enough, seeing the situation of others. (d20, 16 and 2)

Of Stinky Situations. (DM Jim)
Wednesday November 24th, 2004 11:14:37 PM

The group hurt in pride only as they pull themselves from the pile of manure. Thier lunch all but gone for most of them, they can only prepare themselves for the next challenge. Or maybe that should be a bath.

The young teen pulls up short from laughing as Brahmah moves in his direction, but cannot hold a straight face or even be too scared. He busts out laughing again and it is even further enhanced as Brahmah bursts out laughing himself at thier appearance. When Brahmah stops the kid pulls himself together and pulls himself up straight. "Me Ma would not think that be a proper bath." He snickers a little and cannot keep the sound of laughter out of his voice. "South Harbor be that way." He points off to the east." True to his word you can see the town of South Harbor off in that direction, in fact you are less than a quarter of a mile from it. The ocean can also be seen as the town is located on the banks, maybe that is the reason for the name.

Kanchana sees no ready source of water to use, except for the ocean off some piece. She knows that if she waits the muck will dry as they walk and be harder to get out of her fur, but she is not sure of using a spell so soon.

Solgrin on the other hand employs a different tactic as he uses a spell to clean himself up. Though he finds himself to be totally clean now, his nose wrinkles at the stench. He is not sure if it is him this close to the pile or the others.

A quick check by all on thier gear finds nothing out of place or missing. It would seems that their only problem was an unfortunate deposit in a very unwelcome place. By mistake or purpose cannot be proven at this time.

Croc seems more than a little too happy as he rolls around in the stuff and coats himself. It would be totally amusing to everyone, well except for Zeoll. Well who else is going to clean his croc.

[Not sure if I will make a post over Thanksgiving or the day after. Will have to wait and see. Just a warning in case I do not post.]

Leets
Thursday November 25th, 2004 3:38:06 AM

As the boy and Brahmah are still laughing, Leets considers the situation, and the appearance of the others...On the other hand, he's glad Lady Solara is now far far away, so he begins to laugh too...

When the laughter disapear, he searches for Managarm, who must be somewhere in the stinky mud...

Brahmah  d20+8=15 d20+8=15 d20+7=21
Thursday November 25th, 2004 4:34:31 AM

Brahmah thanks the boy and calls for Pah'caw. Then turning to the boy, Brahmah asks curiously. "Has any bad looking folk popped in recently like we did? Or have you heard of rumors like that? Perhaps a Lady." He describes Lady Solara.

He gathers the Chosen, lets them clean up some and then begins walking toward the Harbor.

The smell of the ocean air makes Brahmah smile. Its been awhile since he's smelled the salt. "Ah." He takes a deep breath.

He looks for tracks that might be considered odd. Like perhaps other Taur tracks of taurs here before them, any metal booted folk, etc. He's slightly paranoid. (Survival, tracks, 15 general... human 17, centaur 19)
He scans the horizon as they get closer to the Harbor. Is it a walled city? Walled docks? Lots of ships? (Spot 15, Knowledge Geography 21)

Gecktar  d20+1=8 d20+8=28 d20+8=25
Thursday November 25th, 2004 6:21:32 AM

As Gecktar arrives after being transported, he takes his breath and slips on the infamous substance. Taking his breath he inhale the powerful stench of the place and manage to keep his last meal by the strength of will.

Covered with manure he looks around him a little disapointed and with no desire to laught but to wash humself.

Flat-top
Thursday November 25th, 2004 9:07:26 AM

Flat-top yells "Very Funny!" then laugh along with them and laugh all the harder to see Elder all dirty up and will have to have a bath, If he knows Kanchana.

Flat-top want to know as to where is the nearest shore, he does not want to trot through the village. "Where is the nearest water suply??"

Paw'caw(ceil)
Thursday November 25th, 2004 9:11:43 AM

Paw'caw was very lucky, when she fell and as soon as she could feel the aie beneth her wing. She flew up into the sky and landed on a branch. Watching her master, but will not land on his dirty shoulder.

Managram(ceil)  d20+5=14 d20+5=19
Thursday November 25th, 2004 9:19:57 AM

Managram was falling but as soon as his paws hit the manure pile, the dog blink out *blink* and blink back on dry land *blink*. So yhe only things that got dirty was the dogs paws, He also saved his soup, and never lost his lunch.

Managram sit there looking at his master as if to say 'Master! I over here... Can we do that again?'

Roz(ceil)  d20+5=19 d20+5=9
Thursday November 25th, 2004 9:32:45 AM

Solgrin's hair save Roz from getting dirt with that muck, But lost her lunch. She up chuck her lunch down Solgrin's back, Then she hisses at him"SSSSt" as he cleans her.

Elder(ceil)  d20+5=16 d20+5=6
Thursday November 25th, 2004 9:37:52 AM

Poor Elder, not only did he get soak, But lost both breakfast and lunch. Now has that there in nothing to eat, but all his treasure are all gone.

Croc(ceil)  d20+5=17 d20+7=21
Thursday November 25th, 2004 9:44:52 AM

Croc falls and hit the murky, smelly waters, but Croc like it, it's almost like being back home in the sewers agian.
So every time Zeoll cleans him, he head back to the smelly water. Croc will look for something good and rotten to eat.

Kale
Thursday November 25th, 2004 9:59:17 AM

"Im not going to town looking and smelling like this." Kale says to everyone "Someone better find some way of cleaning ourselfs off."

Kanchana  d20+12=21 d20+3=20 d20+15=22
Thursday November 25th, 2004 2:28:44 PM

Kanchana agrees whole-heartedly with Kale. She makes a mental note to give Ilder a good long bath as well.

"My best suggestion is to head to the sea and bathe there. If no one cares to join me on that detour then I will have to find you later."

On her way towards the ocean she will try to forage some food for Ilder and herself (see rolls). The Druidess heads in the general direction of the ocean and the town as she forages for food.

(Knowledge Nature 21, Search 20, Survival 22)

Solgrin
Thursday November 25th, 2004 4:01:39 PM

Solgrin heads off with the other Chosen towards the nearest water to finish cleaning up. As Solgrin is walking along he will try to calm Rozca down some.

Toros  d20=14 d20=9
Thursday November 25th, 2004 11:28:24 PM

Toros will also follow others to the water, feeling the breeze and smell of the ocean. He is a bit more careful about the surroundings at the moment (spot, 17 (+3), listen (+4), 13).

Gecktar
Friday November 26th, 2004 3:17:43 AM

"I come with you Kanchana ! I don't want to keep this smelling about me. And what abot people seeing us 'The Chosen' in such apparence"

"Will definitively need a bath"

Flat-top
Friday November 26th, 2004 6:41:47 AM

Flat-top shakes this hoof, then the other hoof untill all his hoves are clear of the sticky, slipery chunks. Then he shakes his body (human & horse) trying to look half wat decient. The center looks up to see the party are heading for the shore "Water! Good! Wait for me!"

Flat-top run up to Kanchana, asking "Your not mad at me? Are you? You really should feel sorry for Zeoll! Look at his pet Croc, that lizard still don't want to get out of the pit."

Zeoll
Friday November 26th, 2004 7:27:30 AM

Zeoll struggles and finally gets himself out of the dung. He can think of nothing he woulod like more than to jump in the ocean. He helps Croc, and they both go down for a dip. Zeoll tries to get all the muck off himself.

Brahmah
Friday November 26th, 2004 5:29:01 PM

Brahmah follows everyone to the ocean, not so much to clean up, but just to be closer to his Big Blue.

Leets
Saturday November 27th, 2004 12:26:29 PM

Leets gladly joins his friends for their little trip to the ocean...

"Aahh! At least no big city here! And the waves remind me of the Hearthold Keep!"

An Ocean Romp. (DM Jim)
Saturday November 27th, 2004 1:47:31 PM

The group makes short work of getting themselves cleaned up in the ocean water. Croc is a little reluctant to go into the water as he is not too keen on the salt in the water. With a little coaxing though Zeoll is able to get him into the water and as clean as possible. Brahmah notices no tracks on the part of the beach that they travel to get to the water.

Taking off the group moves on towards the small city that is South Harbor. Parked in the harbor are several ships though none of them the group can identify by marking or anything but the are just glad to be out of the big city.

Having reached the city they find that it is not too large but just large enough to feel comfortable. Entering near the dock area, you notice a nice little seedy tavern that may look a little inviting. You also notice a sign for an inn up the street a ways.

Kanchana
Saturday November 27th, 2004 4:07:48 PM

Kanchana unpacks her soap and scrubs herself and her things thoroughly. She also scrubs Ilder thoroughly. When she is finished she packs everything away and lets Ilder go back into his newly cleaned 'den-pouch'.
She moves well onto the beach and shakes herself and then combs her hair and spends time redoing all of her braids. If she has to go visit a new town she is going to be presentable.
When the Chosen get to town Kanchana takes note of both the tavern and the inn sign. The thing that preoccupies her thoughts the most though are the 'tiny' human doors. Her stomach growls noticably. "Shh," she hisses out under her breath, as if speaking to your stomach is normal behaviour.
She doesn't exactly pay much attention to the locals.

Flat-top
Sunday November 28th, 2004 5:31:58 AM

Flat-top washes off the big chunks, but is still dirty around the edges, Kanchana gives him some soap and tell him to wash the rest of his body. Flat-top smells the soap,"It smell like flowers?? I cannot wash with this! The guys are going to laugh at me!!" Kanchana never said a word just points to the water and has those knited eyebrows.

Oh! how he knows that look of hers, so he uses the soap. He look at Zeoll and Croc and they get clean. Flat-top snaps at the both of them "NOT! A Word out of the two of You!"

Zeoll
Sunday November 28th, 2004 9:22:14 AM

Zeoll looks at Flat-top and laughs, but does not say a word!

Later, when the Chosen are approaching the harbor, Zeoll says (to Brahmah, but all can hear), "Brrahmah, arre we not supposed to find some ship? One whose captain is familiarr to the Chosen? I suggest that we begin ourr searrching among those vessels."

Leets
Sunday November 28th, 2004 2:33:27 PM

The Centaur paladin gladly feel the salted water against his skin and mane, not only will it clean the manure away, but it also offers a moment of relaxation to all the Chosen, which is a good thing...However, he can't help but blushing a little when he realize that they are bathing will the women of the group.

Solgrin  d20+2=19 d20+2=17
Sunday November 28th, 2004 3:04:59 PM

Once most of the Chosen have cleaned up Solgrin will look to Brahmah then say "I'm going to go take a look around. Anybody want to check out South Harbor with me?"

Solgrin then heads off towards South Harbor walking so that any other Chosen can catch up easily. As Solgrin heads into South Harbor Solgrin will keep an eye out for any groups of people that may be hostile to him or the other Chosen.

Brahmah
Sunday November 28th, 2004 6:40:24 PM

Brahmah looks at Zeoll while the group cleans up.
"I know, I know, The Gossamer Wing... Captained by Lira. I remember, haven't forgot."

"Solgrin, you and Kale should check out the Harbor and possibly the tavern too. You both should go unseen. Invisible maybe?"

Brahmah looks around to see if any of the ships look familiar or if anyone nearby might be a crewman of the Gossamer.

Gecktar
Monday November 29th, 2004 2:43:07 AM

After a good bath, Gecktar has to dry his outfits. Even if the weather isn't cold, wearing wet clothes don't warm him.

"I would be glad to find a fireplace to warm me and to dry my clothes. We can maybe go to the tavern while Kale and Solgrim check out the rest of the town."

Toros
Monday November 29th, 2004 2:23:02 PM

Toros nodes his head in agreement with Gecktar, while he cannot stop thinking about "Lady Solana" and what is waiting for them next. He also recalls some bad incidents of the past, getting more and more anxious, at least for the moment.

South Harbor. (DM Jim)
Monday November 29th, 2004 9:01:27 PM

Solgrin and Kale? slip off into town, finding it easy to walk around even knowing they are taurs. There does not seem to be anyone around that would wish The Chosen any harm, not that they notice or even sense. Solgrin does notice a parchment tacked to a board near one building that proclaims something about a "Holy War".

The rest of The Chosen get themselves cleaned up as best they can and even dried. They take it a little slower as they approach the city. Kanchana tells her stomache to be quiet as it protests the lack of food in it.

Brahmah does not notice the GossamerWing in the harbor, but that does not mean that she is out to sea. His eyes stray back to the tavern and then to the harbor again. He knows that every sailor will eventually end up at the seediest tavern in a town.

Brahmah
Monday November 29th, 2004 10:47:25 PM

Brahmah shrugs. "I'll be at the tavern. I'll a room."

Kale
Monday November 29th, 2004 11:28:20 PM

"Lets go check out the boats." Kale tells Solgrin. "If we're known to the captain of one of the ships, it should be easy to reconize his ship.." then Kale goes to the harbor and begins to look at all the ships

Zeoll  d20+7=15
Monday November 29th, 2004 11:31:20 PM

Zeoll goes with Brahmah to the seedy place, gets a room, and leaves Croc to rest. Then he goes to the common room of this place, then up the street to the next inn. He stops in shops along the way, spending a few silvers here and there. He buys some drinks for talkative folk as well.

In this way he looks for news about the Gossamer Wing, and after an evening of listening, he puts together everything he has learned. [OOC: Gather Info check 15]

Flat-top
Tuesday November 30th, 2004 2:41:47 AM

Flat-top stays with Kanchana, "Kitten! the best food is in the seediest tavern here. Want to eat in there? I'll be right with you and at the same time we could get infomation.
I don't like the post on that board! I don't have to read it to know that's trouble."

If Kanchana is willing they'll go eat in the tavern along with Zeoll.

Gecktar
Tuesday November 30th, 2004 2:55:25 AM

Now they feel more confortable, Geckatr too, realizes his stomack is empty.
He follows Brahmah, Zeoll and Flat-top into the tavern

Leets
Tuesday November 30th, 2004 2:59:42 AM

Once clean enough, Leets follows the group into town. He finds it very nice not to be hunted for the price of his head, and will take some time to study this "Holy War" announcement.

Toros  d20=20
Tuesday November 30th, 2004 5:42:02 AM

Having learned about the "Holy War" announcement
Toros will also look at in more detail to the parchment, and then join Zeoll to gather some more information about anything useful. (d20, 20) Together, hopefully they will manage to gather some good information.

Solgrin  d20+2=18 d20+2=17
Tuesday November 30th, 2004 4:07:47 PM

Solgrin nods to Kale then heads towards the docks taking in the sights and trying to listen for any talk about what is happening. (listen 18, spot 17)
Solgrin takes the parchment about 'Holy War' down and reads it. once finished reading it Solgrin will place it in his pack taking it with him to show the others.

Kanchana
Tuesday November 30th, 2004 5:07:11 PM

Kanchana will happily join Flat-top and Zeoll at the tavern. She will immediately order herself (at least) some food; most likely the daily special if the tavern has one. The Druidess will leave the gathering of info to the others. She has no talent for such things. She will of course casually listen to the tavern talk, but she will not actively participate in the gossiping.

Brahmah
Tuesday November 30th, 2004 5:31:16 PM

Brahmah gets a simple dinner and ale, then sees if there is a room large enough for the taurs. If not, we'll find somewhere else.

The Seedy Tavern. (DM Jim)
Tuesday November 30th, 2004 8:49:33 PM

Solgrin and Kales slip off to do some looking around for the rest of the group. The find no sign of this ship that was described to them by Brahmah. Solgrin does stop to take a look at the parchment about a holy war. It seems from this flyer that someone is rectuiting people for a holy war that is to be waged in the Taur Islands. A taur by the name of Vargas Largranza is looking for able bodied men and woman to join in a holy war to stop the destruction of his people.

The rest of the group slip into the tavern to get a bite to eat and get warm. The special is a seaman's stew made with fish and vegetables, hard bread and what fresh fruit the place can get ahold of. The ale is potent but not a lower quality one like you would have expected. The tavern owner speaks to Brahmah with a slight lisp as he tells him that they have a large room that should do them well, for a silver.

Talk around the tavern is about a "holy war" that is to be waged in the Taur Islands. It seems that your old friend Vargas is once again at work as his name is thrown around a couple of times. Zeoll spots a female liontaur in the corner of the tavern that looks very familiar to him. As he ponders his brain for some kind of answer he is suddenly hit by a pain in his head (Zeoll Willpower 18).

She slip out of the tavern shortly after Zeoll notices her, but she gives him a wink before she leaves and blows him a kiss.

INFORMATION GATHERED
1) There is a "Holy War" to be waged in the Taur Islands.
2) Vargas seems to be the one recruiting for this army.
3) A ghost ship has been seen near South Harbor here lately, but noone knows why.
4) The high priest of South Harbor has been on the lookout for some new visitors.
5) Apple pickers are being hired to pick apples outside the city.

Zeoll  d20+11=16
Tuesday November 30th, 2004 11:10:55 PM

Zeoll's Will Save misses the required 18 by two.

If he can still act, he will follow the female liontaur.

If he cannot do that, he will say, "Help!" to his friends.

If he cannot do that, then oh well! :-)

Brahmah
Wednesday December 1st, 2004 1:15:42 AM

When ALL the Chosen are alone, Brahmah suggests seeing the High Priestess to find out if the Chosen were the ones she seeks.
Then he will suggest, if there's nothing better to do in the harbor town, that they pick apples for a week. Flat-top might like that.

Leets
Wednesday December 1st, 2004 3:04:57 AM

As Zeoll seems not to feel very well, Leets automatically offers his shoulder to help him.

"Hey, Zeoll! What's wrong? You used to drink a little bit more before reeling!"

Gecktar
Wednesday December 1st, 2004 3:57:02 AM

Gecktar appreciates the taste of the ale and food he is consumming.
He nods to Brahmah when he says that they should go to meet the high priest of South Harbor. Maybe they could gain some other information about this "Holy War"

(OOC : I will not be able to post tomorrow and friday as I'm going to visit London city with my wife)

Flat-top
Wednesday December 1st, 2004 6:32:38 AM

Flat-top makes sure tha Kanchana has a meal the she likes, he himself is not fond of either animal or fish fleash, but he makes sure that they (Flat-top, Kanchana and Elder) have plenty of salad, fruits and nuts.

When he hears about apple picking, He ask Bramah "Do you think they would hire me??"

Roz(ceil)
Wednesday December 1st, 2004 7:02:51 AM

Roz is none too pleased when she has to have a bath, she woun't let Solgrin wash her underside. She seem to be holding three eggs(a blue, brown and a bright yellow egg).

If Solgrin exames the eggs, he see that the Blue and the Brown egg are crack, leaking liquid. The Yellow egg, she holds with all her claws and will not let go.

After they are both clean, Roz will go back to her hiding place, twist her tail around Solgrin's neck and start her low humming again.

Elder(ceil)
Wednesday December 1st, 2004 7:12:26 AM

Elder settles in his pouch den again, It's not the same. The food is all gone except some nuts ans a few yellow pincones, but he's not discuraged Mama will take care of him. He's getting to be a big boy now, He might help her take care of him. 'Yes! that's what I'll do, Help Mama!'

So at every time that Flat-top look away or speaks to some one else. Elder rushes to steal salads and nuts off the center's plate.

Croc(ceil)
Wednesday December 1st, 2004 7:18:29 AM

Croc is left in a place where there's a lot of sun for him to sleep in it's light. Then there a low tub of water to keep his skin moist. 'Ahhh! life is good, now if there was just a little mud around, Life woulds be perfect.'

Kale
Wednesday December 1st, 2004 9:08:30 AM

"Lets head back to the tavern. There is nothing here." Kale tells Solgrim. "Ive dealt with Vargas before. This is not good news."

Kanchana
Wednesday December 1st, 2004 3:11:59 PM

Kanchana will of course give Ilder food; including the food she had foraged on the way to town. She laughs to herself over the weasel's antics as he procures food from Flat-top's plate.

"Why is it we had to come here in the first place? I cannot imagine that Father Tomi would have us come here to help two-leggers pick common apples!"

In the back of her mind she has a nagging feeling that the mysterious sword she is carrying has some connection to the path the Chosen now walk.

Kanchana half watches Zeoll and the female Liontaur. She chalks his reaction up to missing the company of other Liontaurs - other than his fellow Chosen of course.

"With our luck someone will come looking for us," Kanchana concludes quietly. She takes a long draw from her mug of ale.

Solgrin
Wednesday December 1st, 2004 3:50:15 PM

Solgrin nods to Kale and heads back to regroup with the others. On his way back Solgrin tells Kale "I would like to check out more of South Harbor to see if there is anyone is working on our side. Please tell Brahmah I will be back in a short while or you can come with me."

Solgrin will then head off into South Harbor looking for any signs of any mage guild or shops selling components.

South Harbor, cont. (DM Jim)
Wednesday December 1st, 2004 10:31:29 PM

Brahmah makes the suggestion of going and talking to the priest that was looking for new arrivals. Some of the others see this as a good idea, but stomachs come first. The food is deceptively good considering the looks of the tavern.

Zeoll feels that he knows the liontaur from somewhere but cannot quite recall. She just looks so familiar. The pain subsides and she is gone, with little chance that he could find her outside.

Solgrin speaks to Kale of checking out the rest of the city before they meet back up with the others. Kale gives the other Chosen a look but does not make up his mind at that moment.

------------------------------------------------

Solgrin and Kale? are able to go on around the town looking over the various places. Though most of everything is commonplace for a fishing situated town. Solgrin does find a small wizard shop but finds most of the ingredients and components to be second rate, though there are some very nice component pouches.

After leaving the shop they happen to be passing the small local temple when they are hailed by a priest standing outside. He seems to have been watching the crowds very closely. "Brothers...I must speak with you." He looks around as if searching for something and then speaks again. "But I thought there would be more of you...yes several more in my dreams." The temple is marked as a house of Domi and the priest wears the garb.

------------------------------------------------

The group speaks of the apple harvest and that it maybe an alternative if they find nothing else. Soon they are ready to leave the tavern for a short while and decide to find this priest or at least the local temple. What is evident is that the group will have to ask for directions or spend some time looking.

Toros
Thursday December 2nd, 2004 3:00:30 AM

Having noticed Zeoll has had some trouble, Toros asks him: "Zeoll, is everything all right, you seem to, ... or perhaps I am wrong but..." and leaves the word to him, if he wants to make some explanations.

Flat-top
Thursday December 2nd, 2004 7:47:52 AM

Flat-top smiles as the little weasel takes vegies, fruit and nuts fro his plate. He tell Kanchana, "I call him Elder because he thinks that he's big enough to forage for himself, But alway come back to his mother's arms. Don't worry I put extra for him to take, I think I'm begining to like this little thief."

When they are finish with the meal and upon lerning of a Priest of Domi. Flat-top will ask Brahmah "Are we going to pick apples? Or are going to see this Priest first?"

Solgrin
Thursday December 2nd, 2004 5:25:28 PM

Solgrin looks to Kale when the Priest talks to him and Kale. Solgrin then liiks at the priest then says "There is moe of us, the two fo use decided to havge a look around Safe Harbor. If you would please wait the others may come by."

Solgrin will then head off to where the other Chosen are staying.

Brahmah
Thursday December 2nd, 2004 5:36:31 PM

"I think we'll talk to the priestess and ask her if she knows anything about this war at home. And if anyone wants to pick apples after, then we can. I for one, could use a vacation and picking apples would suit me fine."

"Hey, where's Kale?"

Zeoll
Thursday December 2nd, 2004 6:18:45 PM

With his Croc by his side, Zeoll looks a little confused, then answers Toros. "Thanks! uh. Well, I guess I'm okay. I just had the most splitting headache. And I saw this girrl I could swearr I knew frrom somewherre else."

Zeoll puzzles over it. "Do you think it was anything?" he asks.

He just walks with Toros, following Captain Brahmah by reflex.

Kanchana
Thursday December 2nd, 2004 6:46:35 PM

Kanchana laughs at Flat-top's words about Ilder.
"Yes, he is a quick one to be sure."

"Brahmah I suggest we talk to the priestess. [dryly] Also I will take a moment to point out that I am convinced that we will not get any time to rest; or to pick any apples either. It seems to me that we are being herded from one place to the next."

Kanchana chooses to use the word 'herded' quite consciously.

The Priest. (DM Jim)
Friday December 3rd, 2004 12:32:07 AM

The priest nods at Solgrin's words and then starts to pace a little. He stops suddenly before Solgrin can get too far away and speaks. "Please, if you could bring your group here to see me." You notice that he has made no mention of you being The Chosen...is this for a reason. It leaves you thinking at least.

The rest of the group have headed out of the tavern to hunt down this priest. Brahmah had just stopped a young girl who looked mighty nervous to be speaking to such a large fellow, when Solgrin and Kale come around the corner. Distracted as he is by his friends arrival he never notices the girl's swift retreat until later. Though he does notice her watching him from a little distance off...with a little bit of dreamy eyes.

Brahmah
Friday December 3rd, 2004 4:52:40 AM

You can never be too careful. He checks his pockets to see if the little girl took his purse.

He watches the girl for awhile, then motions her closer. If she comes near, he asks, "Why do you watch us?" Not realizing she's watching him and not the group.

Leets  d20+6=25
Friday December 3rd, 2004 6:47:07 AM

Leets auscultates Zeoll quickly (Heal check 26), but finds nothing special (unless the DM states otherwise...).

"Well, you don't seem to be ill or anything Zeoll...And I find it strange your pain begun with the appearance of this woman...Can't you really remember where you did see her?"

Kale
Friday December 3rd, 2004 6:50:56 AM

"Im going to go back and wait for you at the church." Kale tells Solgrim. "Something doesnt feel right. No point in all of us walking into a trap." then Kale leaves Solgrim and heads back to the church

Flat-top  d20+4=21
Friday December 3rd, 2004 7:28:43 AM

Flat-top follows the group, but is thinking of what Kanchana just said, 'Herded' that's the word she used. Now Flat-top starts to look around (Search-21), just in case there something odd about???

Zeoll
Friday December 3rd, 2004 1:06:51 PM

"Thank you, Leets," the liontaur says, "I don't think I've ever been auscultated before!"

[OOC: great word, Laurent! I never heard that one before! And to save the rest of youse louts a trip to the dictionary, to auscultate means to listen to someone's heart!]

Zeoll continues, "It seems funny, huh? I know as much as you do. A puzzle or mystery of some kind?"

"Anyway, you'll pardon me for a moment. I'll be right back."

Zeoll heads off on his own.

Solgrin
Friday December 3rd, 2004 4:17:00 PM

Solgrin nods to Kale then says "Ok I will let the others know."

When Solgrin meets up with the others Solgrin will tell Brahmah "there is a priest looking for us at the temple of Domi. Kale went back to the temple to watch and see if there is a trap."

Kanchana  d20+3=20 d20+5=11
Friday December 3rd, 2004 4:43:24 PM

Kanchana joins the others in looking for the local temple. Instead of asking questions of the locals she looks for temple-spires; or any building that resembles a temple (spot 11).
Her concerns about being 'herded' seem to be taking precendence above any search for the temple. Kanchana also searches among the people around the Chosen, looking for any signs of an ambush and such (search 20).
She watches the little girl and hides a smile as she watches the girl react unexpectedly towards Brahmah. 'Seems like a little hero worship for Brahmah.'

(Spot 11, Search 20)

To See a Priest. (DM Jim)
Friday December 3rd, 2004 8:38:45 PM

Solgrin finds the group standing in the streets, talking over something about herding. He lets them know that a priest is looking for them or at least appears to be looking for them.

Kale had slipped back to keep an eye on the temple and the priest. To his amazement the priest is still outside and pacing back and forth. To his complete amazement though the priest turns and motions him to come over and join him as he paces.

The young girl sheepishly makes her way back over to Brahmah, who has found nothing out of place. She looks up at him for a second and then looks back down. "Well...I...not really...well that is...I was..." She starts to get a deep red blush running up her neck and then spreading across her face to leave her ears beat red.

Zeoll ponders for a few more seconds on the liontaur that he had seen earlier. The comments about can he search his heart to find out about this female, leaves his head hurting again. He puts his hand to his head again as it starts to pound (Willpower 18).

Solgrin starts to move off towards the small temple, with the others in tow most likely. Brahmah finds that the young girl is following along behind them. She appears to be intent on watching the fighter as he walks, even imitating his gait as best she can. Kanchana notices nothing out of the ordinary, except for the girl's hero worship of Brahmah.

The temple as you near is old and a little run down. You would have never taken it for a temple unless you got up close to it. It is a small town temple that uses what little money it gets to help out those in need and not the church to fancy itself.

Toros
Friday December 3rd, 2004 10:49:37 PM

Toros hears what Zeoll asks but keeps silent, when he asks him his idea about what has been happening to him. But, when he sees him for the second time having some troubles, Toros feels also troubled. He casts "Detect Magic" to understand whether there is the involvement of any magic in what Zeoll currently faces.

Zeoll  d20+11=18
Saturday December 4th, 2004 8:37:28 AM

Zeoll returns from his quick "errand" with another stabbing pain in his head. He rubs at his temple and falters for a moment.

[OOC: THIS time I made my DC18 Will save! LOL! I only needed a seven (Zeoll is a Will Save Monster), and that's exactly what I got!]

Zeoll wonders why thinking of this girl makes his head hurt! "What is happening?" he thinks.

"Ow!" is what he says.

Kale
Saturday December 4th, 2004 9:17:40 AM

Kale walks over to the priest and says "How did you see me. Its been a while since someone has seen me when I didnt want them too."

Leets
Sunday December 5th, 2004 2:25:36 PM

The Centaur paladin says Zeoll:

"In any case, it seems that your headache is linked, in one way or another, to this female...If we find her, we might find the reason of your pain..."

"Maybe simply a lover you'd like to forget" adds the Centaur with a smile.

"For now, we should go see this priest, he probably knows much about this holy war and...why it's happening!"

Solgrin
Sunday December 5th, 2004 6:49:31 PM

Solgrin looks around as the group approaches the temple to see if they are gathering excessive attention. Solgrin will look at Brahmah then say "I think we need to try and keep a low profile."

Brahmah
Monday December 6th, 2004 1:35:58 AM

Brahmah can't help but smiling at the girl.

He looks at Solgrin. "Really, ya think?" He smirks.

Brahmah
Monday December 6th, 2004 1:44:29 AM

Brahmah adds. "Solgrin, thats the story of the Chosen, low profile. But its hard, being heros and all and known to everyone in the Wold." He thinks for a few minutes, which looks like it hurts.
"Well, I think this war at home can be a benefit in disguise. We may be able to sneak home back to Islands without much trouble. The authorities might be busy with the war."

"Or we can go home and stop the war. Vargas likely started the war because he saw the opportunity when we were exiled. We were keeping the peace, sort of. I want to go home."

"We need to know more about this Vargas idiot."

Gecktar
Monday December 6th, 2004 4:05:05 AM

"You're right Brahmah. I thing me must learn more about this Vargas... and after that chop the head off of the Marteus minions..."

"Maybe this war may give us the opportunity to approach these guys..."

Flat-top
Monday December 6th, 2004 5:33:30 AM

"I agree! we have been gone for too long. With our little ones safe. We can make a lot of trouble for the Cleric that started all these lies." Flat-top will follow the party to this Priest.

Kanchana
Monday December 6th, 2004 6:13:23 PM

Kanchana listens to the others being home sick.
"Personally I am in no hurry to return home. Mother Wold sent me here for a reason, and I am certain that she will reveal it in due time. In the mean time I intend to learn what I may."
The Druidess will of course overlook any angry or surprised looks sent her way.
"The People are strong and brave. Vargas may just find out that he has bitten over more than he can chew, by declaring war."
She will enter the temple and sincerely hope that the Priest says they can leave town and get to travel the wilderness for at least a few days...

The Priest. (DM Jim)
Monday December 6th, 2004 11:25:21 PM

The priest simply smiles and then shrugs as Kale speaks to him. "I have a rare gift my son...one given to me by Domi." Getting the chance to actually talk to him without being in a hurry you notice that he is haggard and has not gotten that much sleep. "Though I find it a curse at time."

The rest of the group show up some ten minutes later to find Kale and the priest talking a little. The priest motions to the group to enter his small temple. "I have hoped that one day I would meet The Chosen...but I had hoped for better circumstances." As you enter you find the temple is not in the greatest of shape but still it is servicable. You can only see one way out or in to the temple, unless you went through the small stained glass windows some twelve feet off the floor.

The priest sits down heavily on one of the wooden pews and lays his head in his hands for a few seconds. "I am not sure what all you have to ask me...but I do know what it is that I must tell you." He looks up with tears in his eyes as he relives some bad memories or dreams. "This war will not be holy...but bring the beginnings of the end to all our people..." He whimpers a little as he takes in a breathe and lets it out. "Your people will not be the only ones to suffer...Domi may lose." His head drops back into his hands as if all the life is draining out of him.

[Everyone - Ok, here is what you know about Vargas as of right now. 1) He is a minotuar. 2) Most likely a fighter type by his weapon and armor. 3) He seems to serve Marteaus from the symbol he wears. 4) He runs a little group much like your own, having met one of them...the liontaur male with him at Violet Castle who was eyeing Kanchana with some interest. 5) He evidently seems to want to have a fight with The Chosen but is waiting for your group to be a challenge.]

[Toros - There is not apparent magic working on Zeoll that you can detect.]

[Zeoll - You remember the liontaur female from your experience getting back to the group. You have also broken part of your geas. No more reports will be needed, but you cannot talk about anything. :)]

Brahmah
Monday December 6th, 2004 11:53:19 PM

"Hello, I'm Brahmah, Captain of the Chosen."

Brahmah sits down with the priest and listens as he talks of the war.
"Tell us what more you need to tell us. Then we'll ask our questions." Still not willing to open up to much to a human priest, even a priest of Domi.

"I will tell you the name of the taur starting this war. Vargas. He is a minotaur who follows Marteus."

Gecktar  d20+6=19 d20+5=18 d20+2=3
Tuesday December 7th, 2004 2:58:38 AM

Gecktar feels a shadow on his heart when hearing the priest. He cannot even imagine that Domi will fall another time.

There should be a way to avoid that... Now they must find it. Maybe recovering an ancient artefact, killing Vargas but it could be a challenge...

Gecktar search in his memory to remember a fact that may guide them. What fail to Domi when he first fall before Marteus might.

Zeoll (43 of 46 hp)  d4=3
Tuesday December 7th, 2004 6:30:30 AM

At first Zeoll is quiet in the holy place. He has struggled with his mind, and wrestled his compulsions to the end. At last his mind clears. Or begins to.

Zeoll looks at his friends, at the church, and at the priest as if he had never seen them before. His hands reach up and attack his mane, tugging at his hair, pulling, straining, until the right lets go, a hunk of mane and scalp caught in his fist. His face crumples, and, opening his mouth, he screams.

AAAIIIEEEEEEEEEE! AAAIIIEEEEEEEEEE! AAAIIIEEEEEEEEEE! AAAIIIEEEEEEEEEE! AAAIIIEEEEEEEEEE! -- it goes on and on.

The liontaur stumbles and his face collapses. His next words, hard to understand even to a native speaker, are in his own wemic tongue. "OH TOMI! TOMI! BETRAAYYED! BEEETTRRAAAYYED! OH WOE! I HAVE BETRAYED US ALL!

Zeoll crawls to the priest, pleading, in broken common, "Oh, fatherr! Fatherr! Shrrive me! Please, oh in Domi's name. I beg you. Shrrrive me!"

He collapses at the priest's feet, weeping uncontrollably, reduced and brought low as never anyone has seen before.

Kale
Tuesday December 7th, 2004 6:51:45 AM

Kale looks down at Zeoll and says "What's his problem? He was fine a minuet ago."

Flat-top
Tuesday December 7th, 2004 11:01:35 AM

Flat-top stand there, his memories going back before the new wold. He had to die to get over there. He was carring the Heart of Domi them, when they found Domi's Body, Flat-top help beat off Marteaus Dragon so that Domi could get his strenth back. Marteaus lost! Domi won.

Now Marteaus is back weaving his black web again. When Zeoll starts his screeming, Flat-top will head for the door way, stand in there just looking out the door. But on the way as he passes Kanchana, he whispers to her "Don't let go of Tomi's heart, do not trust anybody from now on."

Leets  d20+2=18 d20+6=20
Tuesday December 7th, 2004 12:53:35 PM

Leets is about to say something to the priest when all reason seems to leave Zeoll's mind. Already concerned with his old friend's headache, the Centaur paladin will try to stop Zeoll hurting himself too much (strength check 18 if needed), first physically.

"Zeoll! ZEOLLL! Hey! What are you doing, None has betrayed the Chosen! You're Zeoll of the Chosen! The one that sings the Glory of Domi's servants! How would YOU, brave among the brave, who once died for the Allmighty Father, betray us?!?"

"Try to get your reason back, my friend! It can only be a nasty spell that was cast on you!"

(Diplomacy 20)

Solgrin  d20+13=32
Tuesday December 7th, 2004 1:32:49 PM

Solgrin enters the small temple to Domi then says a quick prayer to Domi. When finished Solgrin will move over to Zeoll and tell him quietly so that only Zeoll can hear it in tauric "let me and the others help you. We are your brothers nd sister in arms." Solgrin will carefully look over Zeoll looking for any spells set upon Zeoll (spellcraft 32).

Solgrin will then step back and listen to what the priest and the others have to say.

Brahmah
Tuesday December 7th, 2004 4:39:24 PM

Brahmah just looks at Zeoll and looks back at the priest and simply says. "That's new. He's never flipped like that before... I have once or twice, but he's usually relatively calm and subdued. Can you possibly help him?"

Kanchana  d20+3=18
Tuesday December 7th, 2004 9:12:36 PM

Kanchana was listening to the priest and hoping for an out of town exploration opportunity when Zeoll begins to behave rather oddly.
What really catches her attention is the fact that he is speaking in Wemic, not Common or Tauric (Int check 18). She should be able to understand at least a few words of what Zeoll said in Wemic, but making sense of it is an entirely different thing!
Kanchana will sit nearby Zeoll and wait to see if there is anything she can do to help him, or at least comfort him. Seeing how he has reacted has her naturally worried. Her tail swishes every so often indicating that she is agitated.
'First we hear of Vargas again and now Zeoll behaves oddly. I wonder if there is any connection? Maybe Zeoll would rather not be part of any battles again?'
Kanchana whispers a quick prayer to Mother Wold and Father Tomi that Zeoll isn't going permanently insane, and for them to keep him - and the other Chosen safe.

(Int check (Wemic) 18)

A Sad Set of Events. (DM Jim)
Tuesday December 7th, 2004 11:32:51 PM

The priest looks up at Brahmah's words and nods, trying to summon up courage. "Yes, maybe that would be best." He closes his eyes to start and tell you what he knows he must when Zeoll loses it in his temple. As he lays kneeled at his feet the priest lays his hand gently on his head. "It will pass and I believe that no permanent harm has been done." The priest looks to the other Chosen and shakes his head. "Your firends freedom was given to him by Gargul at Domi's request...but someone interrupted his return." His hand shakes as he speaks, though his eyes are haunted by things he has seen only in dreams. "The Dark One set a geas upon him, that much is clear...but it seems that he has broken at least part of it." Letting his hand slip under the taur's chin he lifts up his head. "Do not punish yourself...to have partially beaten a geas of a god is something impressive." He looks to the other Chosen to console thier friend further in his vulnerable state.

With a shake of his head he returns to business at hand as he tenderly caresses Zeoll's mane. "I have been given many visions of late...dark visions of death and war. The leader of this is the taur you call Vargas well enough but he is backed by someone fouler." He shudders inwardly though he does not mention the name that comes easily to everyone's lips. "The dead will walk in his name as he bears something blacker than the night in his right hand. I am never able to see exactly what it is that he carries, but it is a devestating weapon. One of old that the Dark One did not know was created at the time." He shakes his head again as he rubs the mane of Zeoll, as if drawing comfort from the meer presence of a Chosen. "I fear that this war cannot be stopped from beginning...but maybe it can be ended fast...the visions are always so cloudy on that point." Looking to Brahmah to see if he understands all that he is saying, he sighs and then sinks back into the pew. "The future is always so uncertain."

[There is no magic connected to Zeoll that can be detected in anyway. Though someone of a godly nature may notice or someone with the second sight.]

[Kanchana is able to make out enough of what Zeoll said to piece it all together.]

Toros
Wednesday December 8th, 2004 3:09:02 AM

Toros does not know what to do, surprised with Zeoll's situation. He cannot explain what is going on, even with the help of magic. From where he sits, he silently, and uncomforably watches and listens all the action and talking.

Flat-top
Wednesday December 8th, 2004 8:20:14 AM

Flat-top look to the wold out side of the temple, Not really seeing any thing, just thinking and listening to what is being said in side.

"Ahh! Yes! Our old friend High Cleric Vargas. He's not happy with the post of Hight Preast, but has to control all the soles to HIS will. This is going to be nasty. OH! Well I died once for Dimi, might as well do it again."

Flat-top is still at the door way, deep in though.

Gecktar
Wednesday December 8th, 2004 2:05:56 PM

Gecktar hear about the speech of the priest and is thinking of the best way to stop the war.
This evil item may be some clue...

Zeoll
Wednesday December 8th, 2004 3:51:56 PM

Calmed by the priest, Zeoll apologizes for his display. "I'm sorrry. But I have betrrayed you all. Under a geas I have damaged the group. I have aided the Enemy."

"And I feel that the compulsion is not all gone. Please, my frriends, watch me at all times! Do not let me go anywherre alone! Do not trrust me on watch!"

"Maybe I should go. I do not want to do worse."

Brahmah
Wednesday December 8th, 2004 4:40:06 PM

Brahmah remains sitting and just sighs, "This Dark One has to go."

"Zeoll, your going nowhere. Staying with us. The Chosen don't disgard one of the herd simply because they have been weakened by some dark spell."

"This group lead by Vargas... their arrogant and self serving. So much so they have seperated once already just to taunt us. We've never seen them all together as a whole group.
If we can catch Vargas' group while they're apart; one or two at a time, we should be able to pick them off one at a time, then Vargas."

"Priest, what can stop this war? What have you seen?"

Kanchana
Wednesday December 8th, 2004 5:25:44 PM

Kanchana stands up and goes over to Zeoll. She gives him a comforting hug.

"Brother you have not damaged us. We will be made stronger by this event," the druidess steps back half a step and is smiling just a little, "you have done Father Tomi honor by having the courage to speak of what you were compelled to do because of the geas."

Kanchana has positioned herself so Zeoll will have to push passed her to get to the door. Obviously she doesn't want Zeoll to leave the Chosen because of the geas, or whatever betrayals he has done either.

"Brahmah by not confronting us in force Vargas and his followers have been very wise. We have no idea what their numbers are, or what most of them even look like. They have the advantage."

Once again Kanchana speaks her mind; and once again her view doesn't exactly mesh with Brahmah's. He probably won't much appreciate her speaking positively of Vargas' lot. Kanchana remembers the Liontaur with the unusual colorations. She now sports a very amused grin as she also remembers his obvious interest in her.

If the priest answers any of Brahmah's question Kanchana will probably only being listening with half an ear, being semi-preoccupied with her amusing thought.

Solgrin
Wednesday December 8th, 2004 5:55:38 PM

"Zeoll you are still a valuable member of the Chosen. We as a group will handle this as you are not alone." Solgrin calmly says.

A couple of moments later Solgrin says to all the Chosen with a quiet strenght "Brahmah, Kanchana is correct we don't know what Vargas's group looks like and we do not know their numbers. We could be seriously out matched. We need more information and then set about a wise path not just a straight forward path of conflict." Solgrin then moves closer to Kanchana nodding support for her idea.

Seeker of Guidance. (DM Jim)
Wednesday December 8th, 2004 7:49:48 PM

The priest looks back up with a hint of a smile on his face, some of it from the burden that has been lifted from him and the presence of The Chosen. "Just what I have told you already is all that I know..." He purses his lips as he considers something that he had not considered earlier. "This is future events that I see...so it is possible that you could get to this item before this Vargas." He shakes his head as he considers the course of events and then drops his head back into his hands. "Still I fear that much that I saw will come to pass...for some reason I fear that war is inevitable though."

Looking to the centaur standing in the door he shakes his head. "Vargas is not a cleric...that I can be sure of...a fighter of some kind." He looks back to the group as a whole and shakes his head. "I have consulted with the Royal Library in Plateau City and they will be sending someone...still he could be from the Magic Library as well." He shakes his head at how little information that he is able to give out. "They know old legends and lore there that may help out."

Toros  d20=19
Wednesday December 8th, 2004 10:48:47 PM

Toros still more concerned with Zeoll than else. He feels relief, as Zeoll calms down.

Listening all the talk Toros cannot stop himself but asks to Zeoll, " I do not understand this Zeoll, what is this geas, betraying... is all about?" Then he continues, "Why do you think that you have betrayed us?". "I still do not understand what I have heart..."

Toros hopes that Zeoll will reply in a sense that he can continue to ask more. But, if his friend prefers not to talk, he still understands and do not probe any more at the moment.

Leets
Thursday December 9th, 2004 2:21:53 AM

Leets just smiles at Zeoll, because he already said what he had to say to his old friend. He will gently put his hand on his shoulder.

"I like the idea of getting this item before Marteau's pawns...After all, they've been searching for something we had, and running after us for so long."

"It's time the hunted become the hunters, no?"

Brahmah
Thursday December 9th, 2004 4:43:21 AM

Brahmah considers what has been said by all.

He stands directly infront of Kanchana so she can see him. "Kanchana, I have to disagree with you, which is no suprise. Vargas does NOT have the advantage.
We are the Chosen of Domi, his work in the Wold. We will seek out Vargas and his followers and destroy them." He says, with fierce determination.

Looking back at the priest. "We will go to this library and seek out the information."
"Zeoll, you like libraries, books... we have need for you. Come my friend..." He helps up his friend 'Zeoll the Geas Breaker', "... come, I don't really know libraries."

"Friend priest, do you have clear enough pictures of what you've seen that we might be able to use them for a teleport spell? I understand thats how those work." He looks hopeful.

Gecktar
Thursday December 9th, 2004 5:41:24 AM

Gecktar smiles to Zeoll, he couldn't imagine him as a betrayor... And he is not one at all. Only the dark schemes of the Dark One can be seen here.
He will tell to him later, if he need someone to talk.
Gecktar will then turn to Kanchana and says "They know us and we don't know them, here is their advantage, but we know that this is our first answer. And now we also know what they are looking for... and here is our best advantage. I think we must find it before them and like Leets said become the hunters..."

Flat-top  d20+4=12
Thursday December 9th, 2004 9:05:51 AM

Flat-top who is still blocking the door with his body, will ask the group "I want to know is, What is to happen of this Priest of ?? The dark one? Did he ever say to whom he belongs to?? Now that he told us HIS story, is he going back to Vargas to tell him that we are comming?? I hope we are not walking into a trap."

Flat-top will still lean on the doorway, watching the scenery out side.

Kale
Thursday December 9th, 2004 10:54:46 AM

with everyone pretty much ignoring the danger Zeoll now repersents, Kale realizes that its up to him to protect the party from Zeoll. gripping the hilt of his sword, Kale promises himself to do what must be done in an event of a betrayal, even if it costs him his friends and his life

Solgrin
Thursday December 9th, 2004 4:31:21 PM

Solgrin looks at Brahmah then says "Kanchana is right Brahmah, they have the advantage that hey know who the Chosen are and that we do not know who they are. We need to all pull togeather and find out more about this weapon and who all are with Vargas, not just go blindly after Vargas."

Zeoll
Thursday December 9th, 2004 5:21:23 PM

Zeoll notices Kale's tension and is profoundly grateful.

He walks over. "Old frriend, only you arre taking this serriously enough. I trrust you to do what you have to if it everr comes to that."

A look of anguish spreads again over Zeoll's face. "And the compulsion is still on me at least in parrt. I cannot tell you HOW I betrrayed you. only that I have!"

Kanchana
Thursday December 9th, 2004 9:28:52 PM

Kanchana smiles at Brahmah,
"We may be Father Tomi's Chosen, but that has not been a boon lately. Vargas' people have the vantage of anonymity, we do not. Hunting them now would be most unwise. We would do better to prepare and then as they make their presence known we should be better prepared to defend ourselves. I still say that Vargas and his people have been very smart to keep their forces hidden from us."

Kanchana turns and makes ready to leave the temple. She ignores Zeoll's comment to Kale, since Zeoll does not seem to understand that the others who 'aren't taking him seriously enough' are in reality taking a risk and giving him a second chance rather than giving up on him right away. That might be naive or stupid, but a chance is a chance.

As Kanchana stops where Flat-top is blocking the door she mutters a quick prayer that they won't have to go to an even bigger city to find knowledge about whatever it is that Vargas seeks.

Seekers of Knowledge. (DM Jim)
Thursday December 9th, 2004 10:20:23 PM

The priest slowly stands as some of The Chosen start to move around. He takes Brahmah's hands and shakes it with a little bit of vigor. "May Domi guide your steps my son." He utters another prayer for the safety of the group as well. "I can make arrangement for you to see the librarian or they may already know of your presence here." He gives them a smile as he sits back down for a minute at the looks of confusion that may appear. "The historians that are looking into this for me have been looking for you as well...they seem to think that only Domi's Chosen can stop Vargas or even aquire this artifact before Vargas." He stands once more and moves to stand by Zeoll.

He lays his hand on the taurs shoulder and nods in understanding with his feelings. "Be strong for I believe that when you next fight this geas...you will be free of it for good." He leans in close to Zeoll's ear and speaks to him. "Marteaus can only hold onto someone for a time if they do not want to be held onto...a god has his limits as well."

Brahmah
Friday December 10th, 2004 2:25:20 AM

Brahmah has never looked so heartbroken. Kanchana has never been so negative, has she found the Chosen weak?
Brahmah leaves, nodding at the priest.
"We are the Chosen. Maybe they need a new leader, huh? Kanchana, what are you really saying?"
Brahmah walks out and just keeps walking.

Everyone is giving up. What have I done wrong? Am I weak? I think I'll go visit the Children, they appreciate me.

Leets
Friday December 10th, 2004 3:44:02 AM

"Kanchana, Vargas' and those of his kind are probably used to crawl in the dark, hiding, backstabbing and plotting. But we, Chosen, have to stand in the light, for the better and the worst, because we are in the Wold to bring Domi's glory to the people, and make the sparkle of hope shine in the darkest places..."

"If Marteau's Minions, whoever they are, want to get their unholy hands on some kind of artefact, let them know that we are after them, because the sooner they will know, the sooner they will try to stop us..."

"Brahmah, if you allow men I would really like to meet those librarians, I haven't been studying the scriptures for very long, and I'm missing those dusty tomes...So unless you need me for another task..."

Flat-top
Friday December 10th, 2004 8:33:16 AM

As Kanchana approches him, He move outside and let her pass. But when Brahmah exits the temple, he look so disturbe that Flat-top will follow him for a while.

Gecktar
Friday December 10th, 2004 9:45:44 AM

Gecktar thanks the priest for this informations and get out after Brahmah and Flat-top.
Just before leaving he turns to the autel and makes a quick prayer to Domi.

Kanchana  d20+1=6
Friday December 10th, 2004 3:38:09 PM

Kanchana has the misfortune to miss Brahmah's heartbroken look, she had her back to him. It is first when he questions her that she has reason to stop and face the Captain of the Chosen. Maybe seeing his look would have changed what she chooses to answer; maybe not.

[Hopefully Brahmah was walking in the same direction as she was! For the sake of this post I will assume so.]

Kanchana reaches out and stops Brahmah, her out-stretched hand firmly placed at her own shoulder height on Brahmah's torso, somewhere near one of his shoulders (basically like the universal sign for 'stop', except she touched Brahmah as well). Once he has completely stopped walking she removes her hand. The she-wemic looks Brahmah boldly in the eyes.

"What I am saying is that we are too well known. Vargas and his minions are not. We must wait for Vargas to think that the time has come to strike and then turn the tide against him," Kanchana has a look of calm determination about her. "The People are deceived, we do not have their support right now. Even if they do see Vargas and his ilk for what they truly are they may not come to support us. We are alone."

Kanchana will of course not let Brahmah move away from her until she is finished talking.

"Do you think I am challenging you? Maybe I am. Do you think I want to command the Chosen? Maybe I do. It matters not. Father and Mother know that we cannot afford any in fighting. I am simply saying that we need to rethink how we will face the challenges before us."

The Druidess glances briefly at the human town they are in. She waits to see if Brahmah feels the need to accept or deny any challange - real or imagined. But she still has the chance to try and explain what she means so she continues.

"We are in lands not our own, among people who do not understand us or the impending war. Many of them probably do not even believe in Father Tomi or care one bit that we are his Chosen."

Kanchana doesn't explain anything more for now.

(Ouch... a 6 for Diplomacy. Poor Brahmah.)

Back to the Seedy Tavern? (DM Jim)
Friday December 10th, 2004 11:58:54 PM

The priest watches the group walk away with a little lighter heart. He prays to Domi for their success in their new mission and wishes them the best of luck.

It is getting later in the day and with a little bit of inquiry, Brahmah is able to find out that Plateau City is actually a fair peace away. It will take at least three days travel on foot to get there or less if they can get some kind of ride.

So it seems that a decison will have to be made for the group. Maybe a tankard of ale will help to lighten the mood or at least let the group forget for a few the heavy weight that sets on thier shoulders.

Flat-top
Saturday December 11th, 2004 8:49:38 AM

Flat-top takes Kanchana's hand off of Brahmah's chest, holding it until he has her full attention, "I hope that I did not hear right. You see my litten kitten, Brahmah was voted in as leader by the insperation of Domi. So I follow Brahmah, I had no such dream as to replance him with a new leader such as you. My point is I will never follow you, because you with your notion of not killing any thing or body is wrong. And now you are wrong to try to make your self Leader. Now Come with us as we face the futur."

Flat-top will only hold on to her hand as long as she wants him to.

Kanchana
Sunday December 12th, 2004 3:12:12 PM

Kanchana looks really, very frustrated as what she meant seems to have been misinterpreted by Flat-top; and maybe everyone else who heard as well?
She completely quells a screech of frustration.

"I do not want to lead - just advise," the druidess says in clipped tones, hoping to make herself very clear. "Advice that is disreguarded, and often to detriment," she adds pointedly.

"I just wanted to make sure I got a response," she privately fumes at how communication is no simple thing.

Kanchana does not remove her hand, it remains loose in Flat-top's hand - not her usual reaction by a long shot.

"I am just sick and tired of hearing only fighting as the first and foremost solution to everything. That and under-estimating worthy adversaries. They are clever. We do need to remember that even with Father Tomi's blessing we can make mistakes and ultimately end up paying a very high price for those mistakes."

She glances over at Brahmah after pointing this out, hoping he doesn't take that comment personally. Kanchana finally looks at Flat-top with a level stare.

"Also I would never ever expect any warrior to follow me or my way," Kanchana patiently tries to explain.

"Make no mistake, I will kill if I must, but never - never - without forethought or without at least attempting other solutions first. What you do not understand is that all life is valuable, no matter who or what the living being is. Wanton blood-spilling is what is wrong, and if you are referring to the dragon children that will inevitably cause a negative balance in the Wold."

Finally she removes her hand. She considers what Flat-top said about divine inspiration being the cause for Brahmah's being chosen as Leader of the Chosen. She recalls from the Annals at the Keep that it was by a vote instigated by Kenisha, not a divine proclaimation. She keeps her thoughts on this very much to herself.

Kanchana truly likes Brahmah and does not actually want to hurt him, but she often finds that he doesn't always see all of the options that must be considered before making choices. She is very much aware that her personal views color her judgement, and of course she knows that she could be wrong.

She is still hoping that Brahmah will give her an answer. She hadn't intended for anyone else to join this discussion, but her timing at bringing things up was unusually bad.

Kanchana will make note of where everyone is going but she will not join them - not right away. She wants some private time; away from the city, to consider why Father Tomi Called her. At first she thought that maybe it was because the Chosen needed a healer; or a herbalist at least, now she wonders if there wasn't more to the Call then she first thought, maybe Father Tomi Called her because her way of seeing and understanding things is so different. Maybe because she also serves Mother Wold? The druidess certainly has many thoughts to work through.

Solgrin
Sunday December 12th, 2004 7:54:50 PM

Seeing what looks to be a building of tension with in the group Solgrin decides to take his leave and continue to look around South Harbor hoping to find any information on the elusive Star mages guild.

Zeoll
Sunday December 12th, 2004 9:03:30 PM

Zeoll concentrates on the priests directions to the library, and then he is confused by Brahmah's comment about liking libraries and books.

"But, Brrahmah," Zeoll whispers, "I can't even rread. I don't think I've everr been in a librrarry. All my lorre comes frrom storries and legends and things I've heard."

But then suddenly there is a confrontation or something. Zeoll realizes that he has been thinking only of his own problems.

When Brahmah turns to leave suddenly, Zeoll calls out, "Captain! Do not go! Cerrtainly not alone!"

When Kanchana speaks, Zeoll is even more confused. All he can think to say is, "Hey, frriends! We arre all needed herre! No one should leave."

Brahmah
Sunday December 12th, 2004 9:08:11 PM

Usually tolerant of her pacifist views, Brahmah is barely holding himself together. He understands her point of view, but it seems arrogant to believe she is the only one among the Chosen that does not like killing. Fact is, Brahmah learned it was necessary a very long time ago, but he doesn't like to kill.

As for Leadship, he never wanted it, but the Chosen thought he would do well in the position. Why? Because he was a warrior?

Now, standing there infront of the female, he looks at her and thinks to himself as she blabs her views. I could cut her down right here and now... but what would the Chosen think of me. And Domi. He shakes his head. I could challenge her to Kayleb. That might solve the situation.

Still thinking, I'm no diplomat. She's the only one here that is. There's only on thing I can think of doing to solve this situation.
He looks at her flatly. "Go home."

He turns and walks to the tavern. "I need a drink."

Toros
Sunday December 12th, 2004 10:09:16 PM

Toros takes time to contamplate on what has been going on recently. It seems that he will not be able to come to a conclusion soon yet.

Gecktar
Monday December 13th, 2004 3:37:22 AM

As all other Chosen Gecktar witness the scene between Kanchana and Brahmah.

"Oh, oh oh ! dear Chosen. I don't understand the quarrel here !"

"Kanchana, we are not talking about fighting or killing anyone this time, we are talking about finding something before Vargas. Doing this we are truly becoming actors of the war between Marteus and Domi instead of being only victims. This is why we used the term of hunters."

"I'm sure that while we search for this item, Vargas will not stop his preparations and will sooner or later be forced to dispel the veil that surround him and his fellows. At that time we should be able to act as the balance between them and us will be restored."

"We will see at this time what to do against them, but for now we need informations. And we need you too because Mother Wold sees and hears everything and as a follower of Her you could give us much informations."

Then catching the group that is going to the tavern he thinks to himself that even if he do not always agree with Brahmah the Chosen would never have made a better choice.

"This is my tour, ale for everyone" then looking for Flat-top and Brahmah he adds with a smile "if you promized me to not destroy this place."

Flat-top
Monday December 13th, 2004 6:39:17 AM

Flat-top watches as Kanchana walk away from them, thinking to himself. "She still does not understand, she thinks that nature is the balance to all problems, She think that all fighters are killers, we are the balance between the evil that want to upset the good.

Long ago when we had taken a vote, it was Kenisha that said that we had to vote on a new leader, Because of her being in a family way, and to sleep on it. We did and we almost all voted for Brahmah, a new Taur among us."
Flat-top continues his story for Gecktar. "And Brahmah has proven his worth. Yes! he takes her advice, he may not show it, but he does. Yes! he look to see if fighting is the last thing we Have To Do.
Many times he almost died for it, But that's the life of a fighter. We are the first in line with the evil, not only to kill but to protect and give you magic users time to weave your spells.
She also forgets that Brahmah is a Minotaur, a fighter/ranger. He is of another rece of Taurs, with their own values and own way of doing things. But Kanchana think like a Female that all life is valuable, which good in a way, But Bad when it come to fighting evil.
But your right Gecktar, this is a mystery we have to solve, and it will take all of us to pull together.

What I was afraid of is He could have call her to a Kayleb, she would never survived. That would mean we would have lost two very good Taurs."

Flat-top ask Gecktar,"Send somebody after Kanchana, and I'll go after Brahmah, then we meet at the tavern. We'll try not to destroy anything, but drink I will!"

Flat-top trots off after Brahmah.

Kale
Monday December 13th, 2004 9:40:11 AM

seeing all the drama playing out, Kale approached Kachanga after Flat-Top and Brahmah has left and says "I know you dont like me. More than anyone else in this group, im probably the one that symbolises all that you oppose. I sneak and steal and stab in the back. I lie and I use poision. Im rude and arrogant. But im here for a reason, as we all are. Domi decided he needed someone like me to do the dirty work, just like he decided he needed you to be the voice of reason. Domi is the god of war, all he know is fighting and killing and challenging his enemies up front. He knows nothing about sneaking through the sewers or slipping his dagger in someone's back, nor does he know about sparing someone's life when they beg for mercy or about taking with your enemies before you fight them, and he knows he doesnt know how to do these things. Thats why we are here. Everyone else here belives in Domi's principles and follows them without question. We follow him in a different way. I guess what im saying," Kale says as he pauses for a moment and watches the direction the others go, "Is that even thought Flat-Top is my only friend in the group, if there is a confrontation, ill support you. Afer all, now that I think about it, we are not that much different, at least in relation to the others." then Kale starts to move off after Zeoll. after all, he does have a job to do.

The Head of a Disaster?? (DM Jim)
Monday December 13th, 2004 11:30:56 PM

Flat-top makes his move to hold Kanchana back for awhile as he talks to her. He tries to explain his position to her.

Kanchana tries to explain that she does not want to be leader, just that she is tired of diregarded advice that sometimes lead to bad things for the gorup.

Solgrin seems a little disillusioned as the tension mounts within the group and he wanders off on a personal mission of his own.

Zeoll wonders why the sudden thoughts of him liking books is brought up as he has no real ability to read them. He is one of the type that learns through stories passed along and history told to him. He also was listening good enough to realize that the library is in Plateau City and not here.

Brahmah barely holds himself together as several thoughs pass through his mind...murder and a challenge chief among them. In the end he settles to go and get drunk at the tavern they had visited earlier.

Toros looks to all the Chosen as if the world is crumbling around him and he is a lost cub once again. With a slow pace he follows along behind the group that is heading to the tavern, his own thoughts running rampant in his head.

Gecktar tries to be the mediator for the current little tension and finds himself ignored, well maybe. He points out his own feelings on what has been said and tries to smooth it over as best he can. Following along with the group headed back to the tavern he offers to buy the drinks.

Flat-top looks to Kanchana as she wanders off to be alone and catches up with the group headed for the tavern. He slips into the Gecktar conversation from earlier and adds in what little bit he has gotten about both Kanchana and Brahmah over the years. It is as if he is passing along information that will help in understanding.

Kale, maybe one that has the least in common with Kanchana is the last to speak with her as the others leave. Though he points out the things that make the two of them different he also makes points about how they balance each other out and maybe that is what she is to do for Brahmah. The fact that they each follow Domi in the way that is easiest for them and makes sense may help her come to some decisions as she goes to be alone. Then he takes off to follow Zeoll like he had requested of him earlier.

A small building with no sign of any kind meets the eyes of Solgrin. The few people that he had talked to on the street said that this was a guild of somekind but few new more. The fact that someone had mentioned the strange acts that sometimes go on there lead him to believe that he may have found the guild branch that he was seeking.

Kanchana finds a small grove of apple trees on the outskirts of town that seems like a good place to get a little thinking done. At one of the trees she finds a basket that holds a few apples in it but noone is around that she can see.

The path back to the tavern is quickly covered as the partial group heads in that direction. Anyone looking will notice the young girl once again following them from earlier. She keeps her distance but she does not hesitate to keep close enough to watch you intently. As you pull up on the tavern she leans against the building across the street and watches you enter. Anyone looking back will notice that she does not move.

The partial group is just about to enter the tavern when out of the door flies a man that hits the ground hard. He just lays there as his nose bleeds and he moans. From inside is the sound of a fairly large ruckus. It does not sound too safe in there but Brahmah will realize that it is late enough in the day that most sailors are in from the sea and liquoring up.

Leets
Tuesday December 14th, 2004 4:25:14 AM

Leets helps the poor man who just landed before him, so that he can stand on his feet.

"Will it be ok, sir?"

Then, he looks at Brahmah.

"Just the kind of place you may like captain! Flat-Top, my friend, after you..."

Flat-top
Tuesday December 14th, 2004 6:24:20 AM

"Come on,Captain! Let' us all get drunk." Hopefuly they all enter, dodge a few fights and finally make it to the bar, "Bartender sis of your strongest drinks." Flat-top will drink two of them very quickly. "Goo! ahead Caputain! drink. I think I have lost my girlfriend, and if you (Brahmah) is so mad at her that you call for a Kayleb. I'll have to step in and fight you as her hero. I'll have to fight you, You know I'll get killed don't you? Your sooo muche bett... bett... better fighter than me!
Go! ahead have anotherrrr drinkie, I can still stand. May... May... bEEeeEE I sur.. surv.. Win? Nahhh! Your too good."
Flat-top drinks two more drinks and also is having rubber knees. Waiting for the Captain to speak.

Zeoll  d20+21=41
Tuesday December 14th, 2004 11:12:18 AM

Zeoll tries to commit to memory the name and location of the person the priest recommends they seek out.

Zeoll has gone with the group to the tavern. He notices the girl. He has an odd thought. What if that girl is the female wemic who is his enemy.

He says to Kale, "Let's go check out that girrl! Let me talk to herr, but please keep in earrshot."

Zeoll walks over to the girl and asks her, "Excuse me miss, can I talk with you forr a minute?"

He tries to set her at ease. [Diplomacy check 41 is a natural 20! Woot!]

Solgrin
Tuesday December 14th, 2004 3:32:38 PM

Solgrin watches the building for a short while then will walk up to its entrance and enters.

Kanchana
Tuesday December 14th, 2004 4:04:01 PM

Kanchana finds the appletree grove suitable, even though it isn't what she would prefer. She lets Ilder run around and explore if he wishes. The druidess looks at the apple filled basket with disdain. Then she wonders why no one is around picking apples. Kanchana reiterates to herself that picking apples for two leggers is surely a demeaning task for Taurs. She sighs.
In Common she calls out,

"You need not fear me, please continue your work. I will not bother you."

Kanchana uses a friendly tone of voice of course. If no one shows up after her speech she will begin her contemplation of things.
She begins by studying the grass and trees around her, admiring their simple beauty. The druidess focuses inward and envisions her place in the Wold and her duties to the Great Mother. She finds comfort in the warmth and life of the Mother and her ways.

Next she thinks through all of the difficult tasks the Chosen have either chosen to undertake or been forced to undertake. She sheds more than a few tears as she remembers the murder of the babies, and how so many of the Chosen simply seemed to find this great sin perfectly fine. Yet she smiles softly as she doesn't forget that a few did try and do as she had pleaded. Kanchana quietly asks Mother and Father to try and overlook the dark blot of sin on the souls of the Chosen. She pleads that they show the Chosen a mercy that they themselves did not show.

Kanchana carefully asks Father Tomi for guidance for all of the Chosen; especially herself. She strongly feels that she has achieved little of what she thought was expected of her by the Gods she honors. The druidess wonders if it is Fate or design that things have been going so wrong. 'Perhaps we are being steered by Power that wishes us ill? I feel that we are being herded, but by whom? Father Tomi we have need of your wisdom.'

She reiterates to herself why she agreed to heed the Great Father's Call. "He believes in respecting and honoring those around Him and having the courage to stand up to those who wish to hurt, destroy and dominate. He believes in finding a way to settle all diffrences peacefuly wishing to be a blacksmith before a warrior, however should it come to violence He will lead the way hammer swinging. He believes in having the courage to use diplomacy when needed and violence when diplomacy fails. He teaches His children to know when each option is called for."

Kanchana is well perpared to stay here all this day or night if she needs to. Next she will unsheath that strange Fey sword that she somehow ended up picking up and holds it in both hands while atudying its appearence, eventual markings and such. Kanchana turns the sword over in her hands a few times. 'What trouble are you going to bring into our lives? I certainly hope that Vargas isn't seeking you. That would be my luck though.'

Kanchana remembers the Priest's description of the weapon that Vargas(?) is seeking. She starts to compare the descriptions to the sword; hoping that there is nothing in common between the vision weapon and this mysterious sword.

Brahmah
Tuesday December 14th, 2004 8:59:09 PM

Turning to Zeoll, Brahmah apologizes. "I seemed to remember that your predecessor. I thought he could read. My apologies."

Brahmah follows Flat-top into the bar, pushing through a bar fight and stepping over vomit.
"Drinks please." He downs one immediately.
"Flat-top, I wouldn't kill you. In fairness, she would have had to fight her battle like she's been trying to do. She is just so placid that she doesn't really fit in the Chosen, but Domi put her here, probably for her diplomatic skills and great healing ability.

She's so unreasonable most times. 'Don't hit this, don't kill that, stop running into combat.' Sheesh. If given the chance I'll talk out a situation, in fact, the Kayleb challenges fit into Domi's ideals perfectly.

Combat is often used to settle disputes in minotaur society.
Honor demands that Kaylebs be an equal fight, all parties involved in a Kayleb must start out equally equipped or capable of being in combat. The first person who renders the other person unable to continue combat on an equal footing is declared the winner.
