Gareth floats along with Fai'fasal in tow as the others follow along in their own manner.
Onrad tumbles down the hallway trying to spot and search at the same time for secret doors and traps. And low and behold he finds one just as his hand hits the floor with one of his tumbling tricks. He feels the stone give under his weight and there is a loud crash as the ceiling just behind Symon and Jandar crashes to the floor blocking off the route they entered by. At the same time the area ten feet behind and twenty feet in front of Onrad is entirely filled with flame (Onrad, Jandar, Symon and Addinein take 24 points damage - As Tericus is at the perimeter he gets a reflex save DC 22 for 12 points).

Having held off some of his spell power, Addinein decides it is time to bring some personal power to bear.

Three other traps are located and disarmed as rest of the passage is traversed. And now you are bunched up near the end arrayed around what is apparently the non secret side of a secret door. While there is no visible door or door cracks there is a latch that would appear to be used to open a door. Lisseth is audibly humming and Gareth is having a bit of trouble holding on to Fai'fasal as she tries to regain control of his facilities.
Gareth is addressed by Max as the struggle continues.
"Boss, There are some mighty evil things beyond that door. There is also some sort of energy/power that I do not fully understand or recognize over there too."

Symon whispers (via Message) to his new comrades, "Hold on a sec while I check things out."
He uses his x-ray vision to see through the door. With his arcane sight, true seeing, detect evil, robe of eyes, and x-ray vision, what can he see past/through the door? Can he get a fix on anything sufficient to teleport into the room, possibly surprising creatures inside? Can he detect any traps on or near the door?

Jandar is seething at the fire trap and at the chance to finish this fight. It is what he came to the Storm Dragons for to begin with anyway.
He says, "I'm almost out of spells that can do any serious damage, but they should be too. They should actually be worse off than us, as they weren't able to cast as powerfully as me and Tericus in the last battle. If we can sense them, they can sense us as well. Check the door for traps and let's finish this. Of course, they'll have a fireball ready or something like that if we just burst in, so teleporting might be a good idea, if we can do it. But whatever we're to do, let's do it quickly."
With that, he draws his Warhammer (Disrupting) and then casts 'Disrupting Weapon' on Max again for Gareth. If the group takes any more time, he'll use the Wand of Holy Sword on Onrad's, Tericus's, Faifasal's, and anyone else who wants it on their weapons.
(Jandar's extra Hit Points come from Righteous Might spell, which also gives him damage reduction 15/evil, a +8 to Strength, and +4 to Con, and doubles his size.)

Dear Storms,
Starting Monday we will be playing on the Gold Dragon Board. The time is breakfast. The event is to follow up on our ::ahem:: plans for the Emerald Talons who are also invited for breakfast. A three game gathering.
DEH from this game and Steve from the Golds will lead the action. All 3 DMs and myself will adjudicate things.
I'm expecting this to last a week or two. We will consider this meeting to happen "later" in our game...after this module. We'll plug in the posts at that time. However, we will freeze this moment starting Monday until that meeting is over.

Symon detects no less than seven traps on and around the door. Jandar notices some sort of religious symbols on the door and realizes that there are ay least three glyphs of different types on the door as well.
Symon takes a gander through the door and he feels the xray vision beging to work. He ses to the other side of the door and then as soon as soon as he is through the door the xray vision as ell as all the other types of sight abtruptly end. It is almost like something snuffed out the magic.
Fai'fasal is starting to drool a bit from his mouth and there is a high pitched hum coming from Lisseth.
Umm boss, He's in there too. Suddenly Gareth is innundated with chaotic scenes from the Storms past all dealing with Moralas.
At this pronouncement everything seems to come to a halt. Even the remaining flames in the hallway seem to have no motion to their flickers. to their right an open britghly glowing golden doorway opens out of nowhere.Through it the Storms can see the entryway of Gold Dragon Castle. There are the sounds of bustling servants and laughter heard from within....

Symon whispers his discoveries to everyone and asks for a minute to disarm all thses traps. He also mentions that he could use a cure or two.
He only works on the traps if he can do so without setting off the glyphs. By the way, if he can, he will disable the glyphs too. With his Arcane Sight he should have no problem seeing them?

"If there is an anti-magic zone, it works against them as well as against us. We could open the door and chat with them ... they won't be able to fire spells at us either."
"I could talk to them. I have some power that way which could work to our advantage."
"I could throw this shrunken fire into the zone ... it would revert to a real fire in the zone, I think. That might help us some how."
Clearly, Symon wants to open the door and talk to the enemy. But he waits for an okay from the others before doing that.

Hopefully, it will work and you won't chance getting blown into oblivion, before I even get to meet you and find out how you got here, which is a discussion for another day. I suggest you all move back, so only I get fried if this doesn't work out."
Jandar activates his ring of Elemental Resistance(fire), says a prayer to Domi while the others move back, then casts 'Greater Dispel Magic', area effect on the door.

Symon throws open the door and throws in his shrunken fire which nearly scorches him as it flares into normal size just inches inside the door, and suprises the Death Slaad Blackguard Lich that is standing right there.
Unlike the other room this room is not covered with dead bodies but chests and sacks and other assorted containers, some of which have spilled their rich contents onto the floor. Along the two side walls are racks of ornamental and bejeweled weaponry interspersed with gorgeous tapestries, batiks and other wall hangings. There seem to be a pile of rolled and folded weaving and carpets in one corner upon which your old friend Morlas is standing. On the other side of the room standing next to what seems to be a rather large Prismatic sphere, is the Drow Lich Assassin you were just facing and the Drow Matron Lich Mystic Theurge you faced the day before.
There are no other apparent exits to this room though you can not see into the area where the spere is very well and can see nothing behind it...
Map is on its way.

Seeing Morlas the warrior wastes no time. He immediately launches himself at the lich, flies over all the tapestries and such and lands next to him, striking at the lich with Max with two hands (Hit AC 51, 27 DMG - Save vs. Disrupting Weapon).

Symon casts Teleport to place himself in the lower right hand corner of the chamber, behind the chests and suits of armor. (45% for mishap = ok)
He immediately Hides, aided by his darkness spell and the clutter all around. (Hide check 48) He is still halfling-shaped, too, which helps.
He takes a good look around (True Seeing, Arcane Sight, Detect Evil). He is especially wary that the "suits of armor" are not golems or something. But he is trying like a mad fiend to be hiding from them too.
Still hiding, he draws his bow.

Jandar moves just inside the door to the left of the fire, leaving room for the others to enter without getting burned, and casts Searing Light at the Slaad.

Onrad races tumbling across the room to avoid Attacks of Opportunity charging (duelist ability to charge through uneven ground and while tumbling) at Morlas. If he can reach him, he'll charge right through the sphere if he can right beside Gareth, his brother in arms.

A number of things all happen at the same time, most of which are quite unpleasant for the Storm Dragons.
Gareth and Onrad go flying across the room charging Morlas and realize immediately upon striking him that they are in trouble as the shape they strike shimmers and disapears and they feel themselves covered with an substance that immediately starts burning them and their weapons and armor. Max sneces something is wrong but not until it is too late and the warnig to stop doesn't make it to gareth in time. Both Gareth's and Onrad's weapons, armor and clothing start to disolve 50 points damage each weapon and armor - reflex save for each DC 21 for 1/2 damage.] They are immediately each hit with a slam by the now split Black Pudding in front of them. Gareth 17 points plus 12 points acid damage, Onrad 21 points plus 9 points acid damage
Both heroes feel the ooze try to wrap around them but it doesn't manage to do so this time.
Tericu and Jandar cast their spells only to watch as the Slaad disapears and a suit of armor is turned to slag by the searing light.
Symon perhaps is the most suprised as he teleports into a room he can't tell what's real from the door and finds himself in the corner he chose. Peeking up from behind things he now can see things as they re and he sees several things. He sees Onrad and Gareth dive into a black pudding, he sees Jandar and Tericus kill a helpless suit of armor, but what bugs imthe most is that it appears that he is peering out from between what seems to be two very large frog legs and there are two drow right in front of him as well.
The Sladd grins evily and claws downward twice at the apparent halfling and then tries to bite him, hitting with both claws AC 28, 33, 20 for 38 points. Symon feels his body start to shut down 2 will saves DC 22 or be stunned for 2 rounds.
The two drow react as well, one sending three daggers at Tericus AC 25, 25, & 34 for 27 points and Tericus feels a great lethargy start to overwhelm him. 3 fortitude saves DC 19 or lose 5 points of constitution
The drow matron casts a spell on Jandar and a collumn of flame engulf the cleric (flame strike) 51 points Reflex save DC 21 for 25 points

[Kent, I forgot about the Holy Aura spell, which boosts Symon's AC to 28 ... but that's no biggie, since both Slaad attacks still hit Symon. However, the spell says that if an evil creature hits someone protected by Holy Aura, then the creature has to save or be blind. Maybe the Slaad has to save twice, once for each hit on Symon?]
[Also, Symon's Darkness spell gives him (and everyone else within 20 feet) both concealment and the resulting 20 percent miss chance -- unless you can see through Darkness, like Symon can, with True Seeing. Does it look to Symon like the Slaad is bothered by the Darkness at all? Maybe one or two of those hits were misses?]
Symon resists the stunning effect of the blows that slammed him. (Will save +13 base +2 heroism +4 holy aura = +19).
His eyes focus on a spot just behind the Slaad. "Thank Alemi you've arrived! Please kill the drow and lich now!" Symon says. When the lich and drow look away, Symon ducks behind whatever is handy within 17 feet of him and hides. [Hide check is 44 after factoring in the -10 penalty to Hide after creating a diversion.]
If there is nothing at all to Hide behind within 17 feet, Symon will Hide in the shadows of his own Darkness spell, which grants the concealment needed to make a Hide check.
If there is nothing to Hide behind AND Symon thinks the Slaad can see through the dark AND the Slaad is not blinded by the Holy Aura, then Symon is in trouble! If all that is true, then if he can, he'll abandon this plan and just Withdraw. (Untrained Tumble check 14 is also not good news for our hero, if it comes to that!)

As the acid does its work the warrior mutters "Should'a known...". He dodges some of the flying mess sparing his armor and sword some serious damage. He backs away from the pudding, turns and tries to find the real culrpit. He sees Jandar and Tericus destroying armor, and Symon getting attacked - and daggars flying from the same general direction, and finally sees who he hopes is the dark lich himself (per the map). He closes on what he hopes is the real Morlas and attacks yet again. (I assume Gareth has some idea that of what is real now.). He cuts into the lich with his attack (Hit AC 50, 32 DMG - save or be utterly destroyed).
