Ragnalfr files that tidbit away as he watches Henri and the others assemble by the closed door. Marek would likely want them to wait here, and it will be interesting to see if the paladin goes charging off ahead without the chain swinger.

The people continue trying to get info from the two tied up rogues and other then the tid bit of info nothing else is said. Kashmari tries her trick and has the rogue screaming in pain. Aelanthir also grabs and begins to drag one of the rogues off to get info from.
Just as Aelanthir get the rogue into another room to get answers or try the remainder of the group in the fireball room hear people walking down the hallway. The foot steps sound heavier then the rogues they just fought.
The sound of the smithing get louder also or maybe just more violent. Clearly whoever is doing the smithing is not happy about something.

Looking to the rogue as he draws the 15' spiked chain, "I see you again, and you'll bear a striking resemblance to your busted short sword."
Marek hustles out the door and past the fountain.

Kashmari nods to Marek. She looks over at the rogue and considers what fate he should have.
She whispers to the rogue, "I will let you go,if you promise to never show your face here again. If our paths cross again; and you are my enemy once more, you will die."
The rogue should have no doubt that she meant what she said. If he is wise he will do as she says and leave never to return. Kashmari cuts the prisoners bonds and guides him towards the gate before heading back towards the "fireball room".

Hearing Kashmari's voice in his mind Aelanthir shakes his head slowly.
Aelanthir looks at the rogue then tells him quietly "I am going to show you mercy this time. If I find out you are working for those that oppose me or my friends you will not enjoy what I will do when I catch you again."
Aelanthir unties the rogue then shows him the way that he (Aelanthir) entered the fort and tells the rogue "there is the way out and remember what I told you." Aelanthir give the rogue a push towards the forts entrance then triggers the wand of invisibility causing himself and Kuari to vanish and heads off to where he left the others, spider climbing along the ceiling.

The pounding of the hammer on metal of the smith continues but it isn't getting closer or anything. The smith whoever he or she might be does sound pretty upset and you could only figure that he/she would be saying something if you were closer to where ever the pounding is coming from.
The walking down the hallway just outside the fireball room door gets louder till you know it is atleast near it. The sound also is acompnaied by clanking of metal armor, whoever these men are, their wearing something heavier then the rogues you just fought were. From this point the walking stops and you hear a male voice speak up, "You sure the Butcher said he could smell blood from this direction? I mean I don't smell a thing."
A second male voice speaks up after a few moments, "Yes, I'm sure of it. Anyway, when the Butcher gives orders you follow it no matter what. Paul lost his hand remember? He told the Butcher he smelled nothing and the Butcher just grabbed Paul by the wrist and with a big heave, ripped Paul's hand right off."
The first man can be heard sighing outside and he speaks up, "Fine, lets check it out and get on with this."
The door to the room flies open suddenly right after the voices speak. To your suprise the area right outside the door is shadowed heavily (Knowledge Arcane:18 to know it's a globe of darkness). You hear growling in the darkness to but nothing moves in yet.
The rogues that Kashmari and Aelanthir release quickly run from the for as soon as their allowed and are quickly gone from the place, one speaks to his friend as they run, "Good thing we are new and know hardly nothing....a week longer and we would of been planted with the runes that won't allow us to leave this place and then we would of been as good as dead."
(OOC:I want to let people know that from this point on I will be giving abit extra exp at the end of each module for things I consider handled or done well. Plus good rp, etc)

The door swing open, almost hitting him. Henri knows that there's more than two men out there, but unable to see, his back is on the wall. But he knows there is only a battle ahead, so he will cast Bless on all those in the room. 'Hmm! maybe I can slam this door in the first on in line? That would suprise him.' Henri will try to bash the door twice, on the first one to step into the room.
OOc: the 21 is the door missing him. I think to bask melee rounds is +10/+5 (1 hope) the first bash ac30, the second bash is 21. I hope the paladin suprised him, I don't remember how to roll for Bash Damages.

As the group awaits anything to step out of the globe of darkness something finally does. (Fern hears the hissing as the barrels roll out) Rolling across the floor with a small hissing noise comes to small barrels (6inches tall and about 2ft around). The burning wick is cut terribly short and they only get alittle ways into the room before blowing up. As the barrels blow nails go shooting all over the room from the blast. (Ref:22 to be missed from the nails. Failure means you take 15 points of damage. Both barrels cover all the room also.)
Right after the barrels blow 2 shadowy dog like creatures run into the room. The creatures look like a large dog and black in color, heavily muscles and bull dog like face to it which currently is pulled back in a snarle.
Behind them step in one at a time a very large pair of men. Each man wears breastplate that has been specially made for them. Each also has a greatsword held in one powerful hand and a large shield in the other. Their heads are uncovered and dark black hair covers their head and bright black eyes stare at you. Each is deffeintly human but what is unbelievable is that they are over 6', stocky and a pure wall of muscle (think incredible hulk type muscle).
(Any slamming of the door that could be done by Henri when one of these big guys walks in, does nothing. No amount of force Henri can put behind the door seems to effect the brute.)

The lion appears and attacks the first dog(shadow mastiff?) it sees. It pounces. (AC 18claw, 14claw, 12bite, 22rake and 25rake, for 11claw, 8claw, 11bite, 11rake and 8rake damage)
Spirit remains hidden in the hood.
Loran pokes his head up and hoots a sound of dismay. (reflex save 26, no damage)

I'll grant you it was a barrel BUT He bash Should have deflected at least the second barrel, getting the dogs and maybe scratch the Big bullies comming in after the dogs. As luck would have it, the plaldin came close to getting nailed. But he now faces the hot tempered and nor so frendly Fighter.

The barrels roll in and detonate, instinctively the war veteran spins into a low spin and puts his fully armored back towards the explosion. Nails ricochet off in all directions, but Marek is unhurt as he continues his spin, ending up in his readied atttack position.

Hearing Marek, he chuckles slightly. He doesn't do mind effecting spells. I presume I should now 'frag' a dog, he tells himself.
Picking the dog not being attacked by the lion, Ragnalfr points his rod and does just that. Two rays of fire streak toward the beast.

(I don't remember the distance, so I don't know if she is even in or near the room yet.)
Kashmari may or may not have made it to the room now.
If she did then she would get hurt by flying nails from the barrel bomb (ref 17) and will be very upset at that. She will also stay well back from the "front lines" at all times.
She has only one psionic ability that will effect the mind and it is not suitable for attacking enemies with. Her speciality is kinetics.
Kashmari will (if she is in the room) study what the enemies have on them (collars (for the dogs), metal armor and such) (spot 15). No one really wants her to "frag" anything to be honest, because if she does decide to manifest that type of psionics she will end up "fragging" everyone and everything in the area of effect whether they are friend or foe! (nasty but unavoidable "side effect" of the manifestion!)
(I will post a combat related action after I know if 1. Kashmari is in the room or not, and 2. I would need to know what she sees the enemies have on themselves or not.)

Tyal suddenly wishes that he had not thought that last as a keg comes rolling into the room. He has very little time to move as it explodes. He curses under his breathe as his body is punctured in many places with nails. "Man that hurts." He makes a brief check of his body and finds nothing major wrong, well as best he can without taking time anyways.
He stays behind the table now as he brings his weapon and shield around for defense.

Kashmari has her hand reached out to take hold of the door latch to open the door when she hears a spectacular boom from inside the room. As she grabs the latch she feels small objects thud into the inside face of the door at various intervals.
Kashmari hesitates at first to open the door and enter. 'Strange.'
Kashmari listens for the sounds of battle from the room before entering (listen 20). Determining that she can enter the room without walking strait into the center of the battle she opens the door quickly and slips in. Kashmari will make for a point furtherest away from the "front lines" of the skirmish. She looks at the enemy trying to see if they are wearing anything that she might be able to use against them (spot 7) (flammables, metal armor).

Mykell tries to dodge the nails as the barrels explode but fails miserably. He growls and is very annoyed now as he moves in on one of the very large men to come through the door. With a quick movement his katana snaps out of it's case and spins in to slash at the man as the sheath comes in low also, both taking a quick double shot at the man.

(OOC:Ceil, sorry about the barrel thing. I took your post on the action as Henri would be bashing any enemy coming through the door.)
Some people were able to shrug off the nails that were shot at everyone while others take nasty damage from them.
Hart's lion attacks the nearest shadow mastiff and succeeds in injuring it quite nicely but not killing it.
Hart readies his weapon, using his wand to add magic to it.
Marek spins into action and launches a vicious attack at all the enemies in the room. He succeeds in hittings each enemy and the shadow mastiff that the lion attacked looks to be on it's last legs. Also Marek might notice (heal or spot check 20 that the wounds on the large men do not look like their as bad as they should be.)
Ragnalfr fires a pair of scorching rays at the shadow mastiff which is almost dead, missing with the first one but hitting with the second. The shadow mastiff lays quite still now and scorched so burning hair is in the air.
Aelanthir casts haste on Mykell, Marek, Henri, Hart and Tyal.
Kashmari looks over her enemies and sees that neither wear anything flamnable looking but they do wear half plate armor.
Mykell moves in and swings at one of the large men but succeeds in hitting nothing with his katana and only hitting once with his sheath. The damage from the sheath seems to only have made the man mad too.
Eiras waits for a decent shot.
The shadow mastiff remaining looks pretty peeved and rushes Henri. However the shadow mastiff misses with it's bite and one of it's front feet but the second front foot comes in and hits Henri. (Can hit AC:23 Damage:9)
The large man who Mykell hit with his sheath turns towards him as the man growls and pulls back, swinging hard at Mykell in a single and then slash back move. (Can hit AC:20/25 Damage:17/13)
The second large man suddenly launches into a feral yell, his body seems to shudder and the buckles on his half plate burst and the armor falls off as his muscle mass increases and the man rushes forward now in a sudden burst of speed. When the man reaches Marek he slashes his greatsword at Marek, the large man's eyes burn slightly red and he has a killer frenzy look in his eyes. (Can hit AC:28/22 Damage:16/17 Also the man is now unclothed on top.)

Kashmari is taken somewhat aback by the change the one warrior just went through. The possible danger from the mastiffs pales in comparison to those oversized warriors.
Kashmari resorts to using the energy missile manifestation to strike at the three remaining live, visible enemies. Three icy, crystaline missiles appear from out of the ether and strike their targets unerringly. Each of the three will take 30 points of damage, or 15 points of damage if they make their fortitude save DC 20.
Kashmari manifests the psionic power with no display effect (other then the missiles themselves). (Concentration 48 (nat 20), against DC 15).

Everyone, I'm sorry but I will not be posting tonight. I'm not doing this because I don't have time but for another reason. As all of you have likely heard or been told Lynn and fellow Woldian had died in a car wreck. To keep any slip ups of posting tomorrow I will not be making a post till the day of silence is up.
I, like most of all of you didn't know Lynn overly well but she was a player in Ice Vein and was in training to become a DM in the Wold. She was a great gamer, poster and had alot of potential to become a great DM in the Wold. The loss of her is a blow we all feel as the Wold is more of a family then anything else. I can honestly say that I will miss her alot for she made my DM posts in Ice Vein fun, her character brought a air to the game that made it alot of fun.

The little, timid translucent green spirit jumps from the satyr's hood where usually cowers during a fight and begins dancing on the horns of the satyr. Spirit seems delighted by something and also is unaware of the fight going on around it. It claps and laughs.
It chants a single phrase, never to be uttered again. "The Mother greets her child Frigg'Isa! Rejoice!"
OOC: While I did not know Lynn, I know some of you played/DMed her. Sorry for your loss.
Spirit's dance is a tribute to our fallen Woldian member.

Tyal moves in and helps out Mykell, he misses with his first hit but finds a solid hit the second time.
Eiras fires a pair of arrows off and hits the bereserker woth both. The arrows seem to of done alittle more damage to him but still not quite what it should of.
Kashmari fires energy missles at all three enemies. All three of the remaining enemies though look to of avoided the nasties of the damage. (All 3 made fort saves)
Hart attacks the shadow mastiff remaining as does Loran. Both hitting and making nasty wounds.
Ragnalfr fires magic missles at the last shadow mastiff also and hits it. The shadow mastiff wobbles for a moment before falling down.
Henri finds himself without a enemy as the last shadow mastiff falls to the floor. (the 1st shadow mastiff died the round before this one was over. Henri may move and make a extra action this round since he would of seen the shadow mastiff attacking him go down before his attack.)

The one who was attacking Mykell makes both his attacks once more, one aimed at Mykell though and the other slashing down at Tyal. (Mykell; Can hit AC:23 Damage:12 Tyal; Can hit AC:22 Damage:15)
The huge man attacking Marek, slashes at him once again as he growls in rage. (Can hit AC:30/28 Damage:18/20)

Marek turns away at the last minute, but not soon enough, as the enemies weapon slips through. The wound, though, is minor and the veteran pays it no heed. Fire blazes in from Aelanthir and Marek takes the time of distraction to launch a serious of swiping blows. Not as much power behind each one, but it keeps the whirling chain in front of him for an added layer of defense.

Henri moves in and aids Mykell with his first attack, having noticed that the shadow mastiff was dead.
Tyal moves over to help out Mykell. He scores a nasty blow which sends the hulking man wobbling just alittle before he regains his composure.
Just as the hulking man regains himself Henri moves in and swings at him, nailing him with a nasty blow also.
Mykell slashes with both his katana and sheath twice, his katana finding a nice spot also and cutting a deep wound. The man staggers this time as the damage seems to finally of caught up with him and falls to the floor.
Kashmari sees that the battlei s turning more in their favor. (You may hold on to your ability if you wish.)
Marek spins his chain at the hulking man attacking him and finds his weapon misses each time from his defensive position.
Ragnalfr and Aelanthir's magic missles slam into the last hulking man and he staggers now but he keeps his footing and isn't down yet.
Fern fires off some arrows her first arrow slamming into the hulking man which makes him stagger more before following to the ground with a nice thud.
Hart seems to be intent on beating on the dead mastiff. (Didn't see you move from the mastiff :).)
As the one hulking man lands on the floor, he lands face first and on his back now, plain and very noticable (no spot checks before to notice it during combat) is a hand like object that is big enough to spread from one shoulder blade to the other and a tail like object runs down the man's back, small spine like objects are inbedded into the man's back all down the tail. The thing however seems to be melded to the man, not just attached. From the looks something like a teleportation spell or such would of had to be used to made it attach quite this way.

Fern goes over to the bodies with her dagger out. She swiftly makes sure that that the first body is dead and searches it for anything that may be useful. She shudders as her hand get bloodied when cutting the throats and when she has to touch the bloody clothing of her their dead opponents but makes sure she does a thorough job.

(OOC:Sorry for not posting till now. I was having some slight computer complications earlier and gave my computer a break before trying back again.)
Those who go out to scout the hallways find that both directions look clear for as far as you can go anyway. (Meaning there is a bend in the hall way at both sides as the map shows.)
Inside the room people tend to their wounds and look over the bodies, checking to make sure if they are dead also.
A careful check of the bodies reveals a small pouch with 50gps in it and a couple small jewels (small pouch per body), also their greatswords and half plate. The one man's half plate is in alittle worse shape as he was wearing his throughout the whole fight.
The comment on the hand looking thing on the ones back is brought up also by Henri who seems to be abit concerned over it.
Fern's search also turns up a interesting couple other facts, one is that both men's blood is a blackish in color and gives a burning sensation on her hands (no damage, just like a skin irratation), second is the men have noticeable slightly larger teeth on the upper and lower jaw. A further look also shows very small nubs of horns on the men's heads, to small to be noticed inless looked for and also so small the hair covers them.

(OOC:Everyone, this part here is for Ryan so pay no mind to it for now. Also Jay, is something wrong? I haven't missed something have I or is Hart just ready to continue moving into the fort?)
At the entrance of the fort a large shadow is cast by a large man or creature. The entrance looks clear, the bridge is alittle creaky looking but in decent shape and the iron gate is raised. Just inside the gate can be seen some recently fresh blood and the doors off to both sides just alittle ways in from the entrance are opened.
(OOC:I would like to comment here that Ryan will be our last addition into the game inless we loose down to say 5 or so players. As you all might of noticed Namfoodle hasn't been posting for sometime again.)

The large man steps from the shadows and steadily approaches the party, his booming footsteps echoing off the walls. As he enters the torchlight it is obvious that he is an ogre(a BIG ogre)and he surveys the group with a suspicious eye.
He stands over 9 feet tall and his face and body are covered with numerous scars. Some of these appear self inflicted(via ritualistic scarring apparently). His massive chain shirt is coated with dried blood and is cinched at the waist with a steel belt from which half a dozen skulls(humans and elves by the look of them) hang. He grips an immense greataxe, covered with mystic runes in both hands .
"Oy! Wot's all dis then?" He booms at the others, "Don't remember seein' you lot here before. You think you can just wander into a fellas home without permission, eh? Speak up!"
(OOC: if you could each give me a physical description of your characters that would help a lot. Thanks! :)

Looking down left and right, there is no one else on the immediate attack. Turning to Eiras and Fern, "Stay in the hall, and fire at anything coming around those corners."
Marek turns back to the room and takes a couple steps back in, "Looks clear, we should hit the Throne room and then sweep in the direction of..." The sentence dies there as the warrior spies the ogre moving intot he room.
Marek moves a couple steps towards him, chain in a defensive posture. Now that is a big axe. The thought flashes through his mind and is gone.
Gruff and unkept is being polite when describing the warriors appearance. Dried blood, dirt and most of his last few meals can be seen on his patchwork clothes and his overly full beard. At just nder 6' and only 170 pounds, he is hardly an imposing figure. His face is marked by childhood achne and is dominated by a nose that even gnomes would consider large. The only things that seem to recieve attention and care is his weapons and armor. Most notably of these is a 15' oversized spiked chain of bright steel. His armor, an impressive tight knit of elven chain fits perfectly and a recurved shortbow of ash with steel braces for a stronger pull hangs at his right hip. An aged and cracked leather quiver and pack occupy his back and a well worn but cared for leather strap hangs open on his left hip.
Measuring the new possible opponent in a quick fashion, "By order of Lord Beowulf, this fort is to be reoccuppied by his lord's forces. You are ordered to stand down."

Fern quickly piles the swords and armor up for the others to go through. she pulls out a water skin and washes the blood off her hands, dagger, the money, and the jewels. She'll then use her second water skin to get any blood off of the first one.
When the stranger appears she carefully watches him ready to throw her dagger if necessary.

Fern is a human woman in her mid twenties, 5'10", brown eyes and brown hair that is usually pulled up on top of her head or in a braid down her back. Right now she's wearing a cream colored linen shirt, and brown linen pants with brown leather boots and belt. In fact she always seems to be wearing the exact same thing as (aside from the gift Tyal gave her) she only has two outfits which are the same colors just different weight of fabrics.

The thundering ogre rather seriously distract the wizard. He rises up and immediately starts an incantation, but stops at Marek's challenge. You are ordered to stand down? Ragnalfr smirks to himself. Oh, that should work quite well. He waits, watching the ogre. What will happen next? Oh yes, he loves a mystery.
Ragnalfr appears as an elongated elf, nearly six feet tall. His skin and eyes are golden, and long white hair falls untied to his shoulders. His robe is white, as are his boots. Currently he is floating a few feet in the air, and is surrounding by a blue energy field. Incongruous with the lack of armor and obvious wizardry tendancies, Ragnalfr carries both rapier and short bow.

Mykell twirls around at the entrance of the ogre and spins his katana over once and holds the sheath in his free hand while the other rests on the handle of his katana, "A ogre here? what brings you here? We have been granted this fort by Beowulf and are in the process of cleaning it of unwanted guests...so are you friend or foe?"
Mykell is just a tad over 6ft and looks pretty heavily muscled, more so then his agility which isn't shocking considering. He wears half plate or anyway alf plate crafted to look like samurai armor and in his hand is a well made katana, still sheathed. Otherwise he has normal adventuring gear till you notice a heavy, wooden flute hanging on his back.

Kashmari stays right where she is and doesn't even turn as the ogre approaches the group. She sees the ogre well enough from many angles of course, and actually wishes that she could see rather less of his less than pleasing appearance... the skulls are particularly distasteful in her opinion. Kashmari grins at Marek's order and waits to see how the ogre will take it. If the newcomer takes it badly Kashmari is prepared to back up Marek.
(Kashmari's description: Kashmari has long wavy blonde hair, which she keeps worn loose. She has dark brown eyes, like the color of dark amber. She is clearly Half-Elven and does not look one wit like her brother. Kashmari is in very good health and is very fit. In the middle of her forehead; right where a mystical third eye might be found, is a small crystal with one wide flat facet edged by many small ones. The crystal is directly adhered to her skin. Around her neck she wears an unusual amulet. Kashmari wears no apparent armor. At the moment she is wearing travelling garb; and all of Kashmari's clothing and equipment are all of the finest make. Her speech is melodic with an Elven accent. The only weaponry that she has visible are a few well-made daggers.)

The Ogre sets the butt end of his Greataxe on the ground and grasps it just below the axehead like a giant staff. Glowering at the group for a moment he seems to be deep in thought, though no sign of fear can be detected from him. After a long moment, he speaks.
"You lot are here to claim my fort, eh?" He fixes his eyes on the mangey man with the spiked chain. "In the name of da great Beowulf, no less. Even I have 'eard of dat human. Quite da scrapper, he is from wot I've been told anyhow."
He takes a few steps foreward and looks at the corpses of the huge men with muted suprise. "Guess I've been gone fer too long. Place 'as gone to da dogs without me around. I am Gargoloth Harakto, Cheif of da Blood Tusk Ogres...well, I used ta be. We had a bit of a fallin' out a few months back on account'a this."
The Ogre fishes a large helmet out of a crude hemp sack on his hip lobs it to the floating wizard(The helmet is a helm of change alignment with the enchantment expended).
"Me an' mine 'ave killed, tortured and eaten yer kind fer years. An' me? I was the worst of da lot. Wasn't 'till I found that 'elmet that of...err...clear thinkin' that I figured out that wot I was doin' was a bad thing. Well, the boys didn't like wot I had ta say 'bout that an' they tried ta kill me." He snorts loudly in disgust and spits a puddle of Ogre loogey on the floor. "After I killed 'bout three of 'em, they run off and I decided ta head off into da woods fer a bit...ta think about things. Dat was three moons ago...maybe four. Looks like things have gotten rotten 'round 'ere in da mean time. So, if Beowulf wants this dump, he can 'ave it. In fact I'll help ya clean it out(I was gonna anyhow). I figure I owe fer wot I've done before an' this'll be a good way ta start."

The group talks to the ogre who just arrived and is trying to find out if the ogre is good or bad. From the looks of the speech he sounds like hei s a ogre trying to change his ways but it could be interesting to see how the group reacts.
Still nothing out in the halls can be seen by those looking. Henri can get a deep sense of evil off of the mutated looking men. Otherwise he can really pickup anything else. Infact searching your memory would give no details on it either.
Drifter who has remained silent and out of the fight glances at the bodies and kneels down by the one with the hand looking creature on it's back and very lightly touches it with one of his hands. Under his breath <listen:22 to hear>, "He's here. So that why I felt compelled to come here. Time for the Lakothien's last "crusher" to do his job."
Drifter stands after that, still using his crutch and moving just abit slow like his leg is hurting him some, "We should get moving. We don't want more enemies to keep coming here. I would expect who ever runs this ghastly crew to be in the throne room as your friend there said. However I wouldn't expect the way to be easy to get to either...seems this group has some form of intelligent life leading it."

A Royal Paladin with the Sun God Emblem on his tunic, advaces to greet this new Orc as a long lost friend. This young man stands about 6' 2" tall (Hmm! almost eye to eye to the orc), the Royal Paladin has brown hair and Green eyes.
Now that Henri is near, the orc can tell that this human is wearing chainmail under his tunic, His voice is smooth and not treathing to the BIG Orc.
"Well It is nice to meet the former owner, of this Fort, A nice one too!. BUT we received a deed to this place for as a home for us to rest between adventures. It was a White Dragon who gave us this deed, and told us we had to clean it up and fix it a bit. But never told us about the unwelcome guess in the place.
Would you join us in something to eat? Yes! Now If I only knew where the kitchen was??." Henri scratches his brown locks of hair.

The satyr looks at the ogre with a cocked head, eyeing the brute suspiciously. He doesn't introduce himself and in fact stays a good 15 feet from the ogre at all times. The satyr druid carries nearly no gear, wears leather armor, carries a staff and club, flute and pan pipes hanging from his neck. He wears natural colored gear and well worn clothing.
Spirit, the small translucent green creature sitting in the satyr's hood, waves happily at the ogre but says nothing.
An owl, sitting near the satyr on a table top, gives a worried dispairing 'hoot' looking at the ogre.

The newly arrived orge's bad grammar still grating in the half-elven woman's ears, she misses hearing what Drifter mumbled.
Kashmari doesn't show much of any reaction, though the grammar (accent maybe?) almost makes her whince. She chooses not to introduce herself at the moment. Perhaps she might decide to if Henri's attempt at diplomacy succeeds?
Gargoloth's last sentence was generally unexpected; how often does one hear of an ogre wishing to make up for past ill deeds?
(Possibly notably??) Kashmari hasn't turned to 'look' in Gargoloth's direction even once yet. For all intents and purposes her attention seems to be fixed on the hallway beyond the doorway, but of course she has been 'keeping an eye' on happenings in the room as well.

Marek will move back to the hall, as he passes Kashmari he whispers, "Keep an eye on it. If it gets aggressive with anyone let me know."
Marek moves in to the hall by the door to the map marked throne room, Looking to the white haired elf, "You want I should just give it a good kick so you can blast the room again?"

Still a bit suspicious of the ogre, Fern gets ready to continue exploring the castle with the others. She cleans her sword and daggers, sheathes them and them pulls out her bow and arrows and when everybody heads out she stays near the rear of the group. If she has an extra moment or two before the group heads out she will pull out a small strip of dried beef and start chewing on it.

Tyal takes little note of the ogre for more than a few seconds. If it has not smashed someone or something yet, then most likely it did not intend to do so. He instead slips to the door to look into the hallway and what is beyond.
As the group begins to move out and explore further on he smiles at the thought. He is a little unhappy that the mage will get to toast yet another room full of possible enemies...but oh well.

The Ogre looks down at Sir Henri(as Gargoloth stands well over 9 feet tall) with a bit of confusion on his heavily scarred face. "I ain't no Orc mate,"He declares bluntly," But I'll take yer greetin' jus' the same. Well...this keep ain't gonna clear itself." With that, he walks past the Paladin and through the crowd to the doorway(archway?) that Tyal is lingering by. Gargoloth seems equaly unimpressed with the human (OOC: I'm guessing here as I have yet to get a description), in fact he even pushes his way in front of him, determined to be the first to enter the room.

Checking the map again Marek realizes the room straight across is the listed as the Captain's room not the throne room.
Marek who is standing directly in front of the door, currently turns his head slightly at the ogre's push towards the front. "Don't get your breeches in a bunch chief. Fern could you take up position at the bend to the left and Eiras you take the right.
Marek plans to stay right where he is until those positions are taken.

Ragnalfr drifts over to the right side of the door, When Marek, or anybody else opens it, Ragnalfr launches another fireball into the left (west) end. His intent is to encompass the entire left side of the room.

The group moves out or some of it anyway and it looks like Marek is preparing to try and open the door to the guard captain's room. He will notice a couple things as he does. The door looks extra heavy and reinforced with iron bands. Also the lock area and door handle itself looks abit different, alittle too shiny maybe. (Knowledge Arcana:16 to note that the lock and handle is magical. Spellcraft:32 to possibly know what will happen if the knob is touched.)
Down neither hall is there seen any movement yet and you hear nothing yet either except the continous hammering of a hammer on metal.

Everyone allows Ragnalfr to step forward and look over the door handle. From what he can tell the whole door knob and lock also looks to be magical and of great quality. As Ragnalfr looks it over and thinks over his knowledge of spells he comes to the sudden realization that the knob and lock is set with some type of electric spell.
Still nothing is heard moving except the constant pounding of a hammer on metal in the distance.

The Ogre looks at Fern with irritation for a moment, then shrugs and spits the remains of the dead rat onto the floor. He waits for the door to be opened.

Sir Henri Looks on as his now Big Buddy spits the rat from his mouth and the chewed ball of furry glob with a rats tail, hit the floor with a splat? Henri whispers to Kashmarie "I'm not picking up after him, pointing to GargolothBut he will come in handy in reducing the rodent population!"
The Paladin will wait for his chance to enter the room, but first somebody has to take care of that lock.

Marek grimaces slightly, not that the door has a magical trap, but that apparently not one of them knows how to deactivate it without setting the damn thing off. Looks like a job for big and ugly
Marek turns a twinkled eye to the ogre. "Looks like you get to go in first after all. Henri and I will be right behind you, ssuming your strong enough to get the door open..."

"Not that don't love to see doors splintering apart as much as the next guy, but touching that knob or lock is gonna get you electricuted," Ragnalfr responds glibly.
"If you can all keep from breaking stuff for a couple seconds, perhaps I can dispel the trap."
Ragnalfr casts DISPEL MAGIC on the doorknob. [Spellcaster check 9. Nat 1]
The elf looks at the doorknob for a moment longer. Well, that's embarrassing
"Or maybe not," he says aloud.
Ragnalfr floats out the way, giving the ogre a good place to run. "After you. "Mind the doorknob.""

Kashmari might have been able to work with the trap, but is reluctant to do so as Ragnalfr's magic fizzles. Like Ragnalfr she will let whoever wants to bash the door to see what happens. It's not like they really need to be stealthy any way because the enemy already know they are here!

The Ogre sighs with resignation. Apparently this is some sort of "test" to make sure his intentions are genuine.
"Right. Step outta da way then wizard...dis ain't gonna hurt, is it?" He asks the mage as he hefts the giant axe over his head.
Attack= 28 dmg= 24
With a mighty swing, Gargoloth brings the axe down onto the door, hoping he doesn't become a crispy critter.

Ragnalfr tries casting dispell magic on the door knob and lock but it doesn't work and even makes the door knob crackle for just a second.
Everyone else waits as Gargoloth steps forward and swings a powerful blow down on the door. Anticipation on what might happen flows and time seems to beat terribly slow as the axe decends and finally slams into the door. For moments all that happens in the door shudders but is intact but suddenly the iron bands on the door also erupt with the electric energy and zaps through the axe that is partly inbedded in the wood of the door. The blast of electric can be heard zapping right to the ogre and the burst is so powerful it makes what hair the ogre has stand up and his eyes look like they light up before he is blasted through the door way and onto his back. Alittle smoke rolls off of the ogre now. (Gargoloth takes 17 points of eletric damage.)

The paladin turn to shield Kashmarie from the splinters to come. Nothing happen! So he returns his attention to their new Big Friend. "Oh! that's got to hurt, even foran Orger?"
So when the smoking hair stops< Sir Henri will touch him on the arm and heal him of 10 hp of damage.

Hart, hardly able to contain his patience with the door and the party, he starts to say, "For Goddess' sake, just...." When the ogre slams into the door. The druid smile widely. "Might like heem after all." He says quietly.
Spirit claps.
Loran shudders and takes off of the staff at the sound, his eyes wide. He clicks his beak irritably.

Tyal winces as the ogre is throw by the spell. He closes his eyes against the sudden blast of light and debris.
When at last the smoke clears he makes his way to the ogre and shakes his head. Sir Henri gets there first and heals the guy up for a little bit. Tyal smiles down at the ogre and would offer a hand but knows that that would lead to him being pulled onto the ground. "Do you still hurt and do you need more attention?" He seems worried though he still has his doubts about the ogre...still the guy has a way with doors.
He calls back over his shoulder to the others. "Is everyone ok...sound off please." He waits to see what the ogre has to say before he moves off. "I am not sure who won that round...the ogre or the door." He smiles for the ogre trying to lighten the mood after that experience.

Now that no one is milling around in front of the door Kashmari approaches the door and carefully fiddles with the lock; or even with the hinge pins. (If possible she will take 20, if not then: Spot 18, Disable Device 13). If she fails to make any head way with the lock; and there is still time, then Kashmari will try "Control Object" on the lock to make the lock move in such a way as to unlock itself.If she uses "Control Object" on the door she will not worry about masking any manifestation display.

The Ogre sits up slowly from the shock and shakes his head briskly, much like a dog that is shaking off some water.
As Sir Henri heals him Gargoloth nods his thanks and staggers to his feet. He rolls his shoulders and cracks his neck a bir, checking the damage.
At Tyal's offer of aid, Gargoloth smiles with a bit of embaressment. "Sure...I could use a lil' more fixin' up if yer willin'. I think that one cooked my liver!" He adds with a deep chuckle, poking his stomach gingerly.
He looks up just as Kashmari is about to start picking the lock. "Uh Oh!" He mutters and quickly steps to the side in case the trap is still active.

Tyal nods to the ogre and then pulls out a wand that he taps the big guy with. It sends a little bit of healing into the ogre as Kashmari works with the lock.

Fern looks on in amazment as it is suggested that Gargoloth try and open a magically traped door What idiots, do they actually think that he's going to do it. and is then even more amazed that Gargoloth actually tries Ooh that has got to hurt, why did he do it. I'm sure that if we had taken a few more minutes we might have found a way to open the door without endangering anybody. Fern is ready to attack as surely somebody has heard all the noise.

Gargoloth slowly makes his way to his feet and is cured of his damage after being damaged by the doors trap.
Kashmari moves forward and begins to look over how to disarm the trap, she really sees no way to disarm the trap right off since when she moves to get a better look or try and do something else the metal bindings and such on the door give off a spark showing the elctricity is still there.
Kashmari tries using her ability on the lock also. She hears a satisfying click as the tumbler on the lock is undone but to your dismay the lock reclicks shut again just as quickly. Clearly the enchantments on this door are strong.
Still nothing is stirring in the hall ways.

Gargoloth relaxes a bit when the theif isn't lit up like a roman candle and turns to Tyal. "Thanks mate. These doors in here can be tricky, ya know?" Gargoloth takes a second to smooth down his stacticly charged mane of arm hair and looks at Sir Henri. "Somethin' musta heard that noise. We should be on the look out fer baddies."

OOC: I though that both Entrance Hall and the Captain's Meeting Room have double doors, because of their size?? Those room are almost the lenth of the Fort.

(*making several actions/checks in one post in case I am unable to post this week due to my 8 week (6 weeks left) nursing student "internship" at the nursing home*)
Kashmari sees that manipulating the lock will not work. She has seen what bashing the metal bindings on the door does as well. So she will try something less expected.
Kashmari uses "control object" on each of the hinge bolts. They will basically just walk their way out of the hinge, creating an alternative way of opening the door. Luckily she doesn't have to see the hinges to do this little 'trick'.
Once all of the hinge bolts are removed she will command the door to walk away from it's door jamb and away from herself (i.e. down the hall away from the group). The door will obediently walk off with creaking, groaning movements.
