Meanwhile, Overhead (DM Cayzle) Thursday July 7th, 2005 10:14:10 PM
Renik scouts a little ahead and keeps his eyes open.
The rest of the party keep with the main body of grigs.
Black Paws travels as himself, following a great idea from Tratain. A half dozen grig ride along on top of him.
Feng and Draax try to keep up the disguise as grigs, though both are prepared to be found out.
Arien suggests a Fly spell and may use it to help Black Paws. Meanwhile, he is ready to speak Sylvan.
After an hour or two, about a mile or so deep into the canyon, you may notice something.
If you can make a Spot check vs DC20, then Please Highlight to display spoiler: {You see quite big birds of prey overhead.}
Renik has already made the spot check, per his roll last round.
Sarigar and Black Paws (AC 24/21 CV 142 of 145) d20+16=21 d20+16=33 d20+16=27 d20+16=36 Thursday July 7th, 2005 10:56:26 PM
The brothers keen senses, geared toward anything, especially after the Hillocks easily pick up the birds above (Spot 21/33). Sarigar, trying not to speak (though it's obviously hard for him not to blurt it out) points up toward the birds, while his brother lets out a concerned 'woof' and gives an upward nod toward them as well.
The brothers listen intently to their surroundings trying to pick up what might be drawing the birds attention (assuming it's not the party itself) (Listen 27/36)
Tratain d20+10=18 Thursday July 7th, 2005 11:07:11 PM
Tratain Travels with the Grigs trying to impersonate one convincingly keeping an eye out for danger, but unfortunatly is unable to spot the Birds on his own (Spot 18)
When pointed out by Sarigar and other Party Members he looks for them again.
He says "I Hope those Birds don't hunt Fey, I wonder what they are circleing. Maybe there was a battle or will be one further up the way soon."
Draax d20+6=22 Thursday July 7th, 2005 11:31:52 PM
Following the direction of Sarigar's finger Draax also spot the big birds. He figures if they spotted the bird then the birds have spotted them. Like Tratain, he hopes the fey disguise will prevent the birds from being hostile.
Renik d20+20=26 d20+25=45 d20+14=18 d20+14=28 d20+14=25 Friday July 8th, 2005 6:54:23 AM
The rogue continues on, being as sneaky as he is able (Move Silent 26, Hide 45, Spot 18, Listen 28) as he flits from one hiding place to the next. He doesn't intend to get surprised by anything nasty.
He keeps a close eye on the birds overhead, but hopes that their disguise will keep the birds disinterested. Of course, he ponders to himself, it may well be that their disguises make them more attractive targets to these predators.
He runs through combat strategies in his mind, and readies his bow in case the birds decide they are in the mood for a snack. He tries to work out how many of the birds there are, and whether their interest is with the grigs or whether they are circling another spot (Spot 25).
Feng d20+1=3 Friday July 8th, 2005 9:58:47 AM
The half orc paladin failed to notice the birds and only half hears the comment about the circling birds. His focus on being a grig was too intense.
"Circling birds?"
Monthor d20-2=9 Friday July 8th, 2005 9:59:00 AM
Monthor doesn't do much different. He listens to what the others have to say and stays amongs his other little buddies. Monthor doesn't see the birds (9).
Monthor rubs his belly and salivates a little bit at the thought of BBQ'd bird.
" Hummmm.... drumsticks.... "
Arien d20+9=19 Friday July 8th, 2005 9:45:53 PM
Arien doesn't notice the birds at first but when they were pointed out to him he wonders just how large these birds were.
Whispers on Wings (DM Cayzle) Saturday July 9th, 2005 4:43:11 PM
The birds fly closer, and everyone can see that they are giant eagles. They circle overhead, and seem to be focussed on you, not any other prey.
When they are about 150 feet overhead, every grig -- and all the Hamleteers -- hear a whisper in their ears.
If you make a spellcraft DC20 check, then Highlight to display spoiler: {You recognize a Message cantrip.}
If you understand Sylvan, then Highlight to display spoiler: {You hear the whisper say, "Hello, sprites! Are you come to visit the queen? How funny that you have a pet wolf! And such a big one! Hello wolfie!"}
Serent whispers back for the grigs. If you speak Sylvan, then Highlight to display spoiler: {"Yes! WeSeekTheQueen'sAidInFightingTheEvilParnoth."}

[OOC: This is the Friday post! Sorry!]
Renik d20+25=33 d20+20=24 d20+14=24 d20+14=24 Saturday July 9th, 2005 7:30:50 PM
The rogue hears the words appear in his mind, and is able to understand them. The fact that whoever is sending this message (he assumes it is the eagles overhead) can speak into their minds suggests they need to take care in maintaing their disguise.
He continues his stealthy progress (Hide 33, MS 24, Spot 24, Listen 24) hoping that his companions maintain a similarly low profile, and that Serent's response is sufficient for their interrigators.
Cayzle OOC Clarification Saturday July 9th, 2005 9:17:34 PM
The whispered words do not appear in your mind. You hear them as actual whispers that are audible. To reply, were you to choose to, you would logically have to speak or whisper back.
Monthor Sunday July 10th, 2005 8:22:56 AM
Monthor scratches his beard and looks confused.
" Hummm, so does this mean that we're not going to eat those birds? "
:: Since it doesn't look like the birds are hostile, Monthor waits and sees what's going to happen. ::
Sarigar and Black Paws (AC 24/21 CV 142 of 145) d20+16=34 Sunday July 10th, 2005 9:10:26 AM
Sarigar looks about confused, not only at the 'words' he's hearing, but at the fact that he's even hearing them at all. Until Serent utters something, he doesn't see anyone or anything around that should be able to speak. He looks around a bit more (Spot 34) to see if he can discover the speaker.
Black Paws is no less confused than his brother, but somehow knows that he was singled out. He let's out a playful bark and waits until he's urged on by the others and the grigs.
Tratain d20+10=26 Sunday July 10th, 2005 2:59:31 PM
Tratain is unable to understand what the words whispered say so he Tries as best he can to immitate what the other Grigs are doing and doesn't say anything at all. (Spot 26)
Draax d20+6=11 Sunday July 10th, 2005 7:31:22 PM
Following Tratain's example Draax tries stay close to Grigs and mimic their reactions. He remains quiet although he will move his lips if he sees all the other Grips talking (spot 11).
Feng Monday July 11th, 2005 8:40:30 AM
Feng tries not to do anything rash as the eagles continue to circle overhead. In fact he tries hard not to do anything at all except blend in with the grigs.
Arien d20+23=36 Monday July 11th, 2005 3:55:15 PM
Arien grimaces as the message comes through but doesn't say anything. Either the creature had broken through the entire illusion and knew whome everyone was or it only knew about Black Paws. As Serent replies Arien holds his tongue and waits for a reply from the voice.
Everyone keeps their heads down and their mouths shut. Everyone except Monthor, who says, "Hummm, so does this mean that we're not going to eat those birds?" In common.
The whispered voice speaks again, this time in Common. "Did you think, little one, that we did not speak Common? No you are not going to eat these birds."
Is the voice angry? Or amused? It is hard to tell from a bird's whisper. Serent speaks in Sylvan, Highlight to display spoiler: {"HaHaHa! ThatOneAlwaysMakesTheJokes!"}
One bird skrees loudly to another as it reels 150 feet overhead. Is the jig up? Did the keen-eyed eagle see something suspicious?
If an attack is brewing, what can the party do to stop it?
Tratain Monday July 11th, 2005 6:44:28 PM
Tratain is barely able to surpess a groan when Monthor Speaks out loud and the Eagles answer him, things were going so well.
He quickly tries to think of something and isn't too encoureged when one of the Birds Skrees Loudly, did they figure something out?. An Idea comes to him and he thinks to himself, Well, the Worste thing that can happen is I look like a fool, its a dumb idea but it just may work.
So Tratain does his best impersonation of a Grig pretending to be a giant eagle swooping in and pecking at Monthor the Grig as he can. He Tries to get as many of the other Grigs and the Party involved as he can, especially Black Paws, who's size may help to cover up anything the eagles may have seen.
OOC: Tratain is just trying to cause as much havoc as possible hoping that acting Playfully like it was a big joke may ease suspicions and getting all the Party and the Grigs and Black Paws because he's so big will erase any signs the party may be leaving that they aren't who they are pretending to be.
Monthor Monday July 11th, 2005 7:04:33 PM
Monthor drops to his knees and covers his head up with his arms.
:: Laughing the entire time, Monthor says... ::
" No! No! Please don't eat me!!!! PLEASE!!!"
Draax Monday July 11th, 2005 9:02:38 PM
When he hears the words in common Draax thinks that they have been discovered. When Serent speaks Draax waits to see how the large birds will react. The loud skree was not the reaction he was hoping for. When Tratain puts on his charade, Draax looks at him as if he was going crazy before finally figuring it out. He goes through the motions but his mind is on the bird and whether they are still communicating or getting ready to attack.
Sarigar and Black Paws (AC 24/21 CV 142 of 145) d20+3=19 Tuesday July 12th, 2005 12:00:27 AM
Using their telepathic bond, Sarigar tells his brother, "Dogpile on the little un on the ground."
Black Paws immediately spring several feet in the air only to come down desperately close to landing on Monthor. With big slavering maw in his face, Black Paws let's loose several yaps then proceeds to lick Monthor's little griggy face (well, his whole body really based on the illusion). Needless to say, Monthor is now thoroughly covered in wolf slobber.
Sarigar tumbles over Black Paws, pretending to be adding to the dogpile, but really just vaulting over him (Dexterity/Tumble 19). And giggling and laughing not unlike the others have seen him do when playing with his brother anyway.
Feng Tuesday July 12th, 2005 9:36:44 AM
Feng sighs. The eagles were obviously special creatures and Monthor just confirmed any suspicion the eagles may have had. He thought for just a moment that things would actually work for once.
Renik d20+25=34 d20+17=25 Tuesday July 12th, 2005 4:06:02 PM
Freezing in place Renik continues to hide, watching for signs of imminent attack (Hide 34).
He carefully takes out his invisibility wand and activates it (UMD 25), hoping that his caution is unwarranted. Either Tratain's ruse will succeed, or they are about to face an attack. Best to be prepared, he reasons.
Tratain cleverly tries to recover for Monthor's blooper. He jumps on the dwarf in an attempt at spritely tomfoolery!
[OOC: Great role play idea, Joe! Tratain earns a hero point for moxie and cleverness!]
Sarigar, Black Paws, about ten cricket-taurs, and then Draax all play dog-pile on the dwarf-in-grig-guise!
Several other grigs adopt magical mini-eagle disguises and fly over Monthor, who plays along too. One grig adopts the illusion-image of mini-Queen Maab and intones "We Are Not Amused!"
The eagles fly down to about 50 feet overhead, hovering. If you can make a Listen check vs DC10, then you can hear that they are talking amongst themselves.
If you speak Sylvan and make the DC10 Listen check, then Please Highlight to display spoiler: {One eagle says, "Full of illusion magic, but that's normal for goofballs like these. Why Maab loves these tomfools so much, I don't know. But my gosh! Some of them are carrying a dragon's hoard in magic items!"}
One eagle calls out loudly in Common: "Where did you sprites get so much magic? What are you doing with it?"
Serent is obviously confused. "FuhFuhFuh! UmUmUm! HereLetMyMagicItemSpecialistAnswerThatOne? RenikDaisymum! GetOutHereAndAnswerTheGoodEagles!"
Renik Daisymum d20+12=30 Wednesday July 13th, 2005 2:53:48 AM
Oh well, so much for keeping hidden, the rogue thinks with a shrug. Cancelling his invisibility he leaps from his hiding place with an almighty
"BOO!"
He spends a moment or so rolling on the ground laughing at his own joke (particularly if he manages to startle anyone), then climbs to his feet, wiping tears of mirth from his eyes. In fluent Sylvan he says;
"YouLikeOurTrinkets? OurBaubles? WeFoundOurThingsAndMuchMoreThattaway" (he points to the North) "ButThisWasAllWeCouldUse. LotsOfDeadHumansAround. MaybeTheyAttackedTheForest,WeDon'tKnow. LookedLikeTheForestKilledThem. HalfOurNumberTookOffForTheBattleInTheNorthWithMagicWeapons. WeWereCalledToSeeTheQueen. TheyWereCalledByTheKing. MaybeYouwantToBuyOurTrinketsFromUs? ButI'mThinkingNo,WeWillTakeTheseLovelyThingsToTheQueen,AndSheWillTellUsWhatToDoWithThem.MaybeSheSaysWeKeepThem! LookAtTheFunICouldHaveWithThis!"
And Renik activates his ring of blinking, and shows off how he can walk through rocks.
(Bluff 30)
Renik has to admit, this is a lot more fun than hiding behind a rock. He just hopes it works.
Feng Wednesday July 13th, 2005 9:58:38 AM
The confused half-orc is totally lost with whats going on. Everybody is jumping on Monthor and then Renik is revealing himself to the eagles, or was he?
Monthor Wednesday July 13th, 2005 10:55:54 AM
Monthor keeps quiet and seems to enjoy the attention.
Tratain d20+10=17 Wednesday July 13th, 2005 1:04:02 PM
Tratain is able to hear the Eagles talking amongst themselves but can't understand what they are saying to each other. Talking is better than attacking he thinks.
Tratain thinks to himself Ut, Oh. I didn't know they could detect our Magic, I hope someone can come up with a convincing Bluff, I'm out of Idea's.
Tratain then waits with the others quietly when Renik speaks hopeing its something good as he doesn't understand Sylvan.
Arien Wednesday July 13th, 2005 1:40:07 PM
Arien watches the antics of the others silently wondering if the eagles and the guardian would be fooled by them. Arien is prepared to fight should it come to that but he hopes that it will not.

Carl, congrats on having a great time at WoldCon, you lucky dog!
Draax Wednesday July 13th, 2005 6:59:42 PM
Draax hesitates for a second when the bird comments on their magic. The fact that these creatures can sense or detect magic cannot be a good sign. He hopes that Renik can smooth things over and put the creatures' suspicions at ease.
Bamboozled Eagles! (DM Cayzle) d20+4=18 d20+4=22 d20+4=17 Wednesday July 13th, 2005 10:35:16 PM
The leader of the eagles does a quick loop-de-loop as Renik convincingly impersonates a giddy grig ... evidently an avian way to roll one's eyes.
"Yes yes. How lucky for you. Go on with you all, then. The Guardians will know what to make of your hooliganism. Straight ahead to the trees, and no meandering, hear!"
With that command, the eagles resume their high-altitude patrol, and the party is free to walk on.
"Whew!" says Serent, when the birds are just specks in the sky. He and most of the grigs collapse in nervous giggles of relief. A few fly over the party masked by mini eagle illusions saying "No Meandering! No Meandering!"
[OOC: Congrats, friends! I'm glad to see you had it in ya! I was all set for "Attack From The Air," but you RPed your way out of it!]

With a firm tap on the shoulder, Black Paws gets off of Monthor and the brothers resume their journey with the others. After that scene, Sarigar is more keen than ever, looking and listening for anything potentially threatening (Spot 35, Listen 35).
Although he's playfully nipping at all the little grigs buzzing about him, Black Paws is also keeping his ears and eyes open (Spot 29, Listen 19)
ooc: Philip to the gang Thursday July 14th, 2005 12:19:25 AM
Like Carl, I too attended Woldcon (heck I live here) so you also get a similar monetary bonus from me as well. Though not quite as high, you do still receive 8800gp.
So, grand total from the Woldcon attenders, 19800gp. Nice chunk of change, ya?
Oh, in case you were going to ask Carl, the money that would have come from Brian was to be diverted to the Local game since he didn't have a character here yet =(. At least that's what Jerry was saying about 2 weeks ago (last time we played locally since he's been on vaction since then).
==========
Extra Note by Cayzle: Philip, you have the choice of putting your reward funds to this game or to the local game. Your pick.
I have not heard from Brian in ages! On vacation, you say? That explains a lot. Thanks!
Feng Thursday July 14th, 2005 8:18:09 AM
Feng didn't realise how hard his heart was beating until the eagles left. He has no idea how the eagles managed not to see them but it had to have something to do with Renik's prancing.
"That was a close one." He mutters softly.
Tratain Thursday July 14th, 2005 9:20:33 AM
Tratain Travels along with the others after the Eagles Leave.
He says quietly "We need to watch what we say from now on, that was very close. They also said the Guardians were up ahead, I think they will be the real test. We have to be Careful."
OOC Cayzle Thursday July 14th, 2005 12:51:01 PM
I just heard from Jerry:
The 11,000 is given to the game and divided up among 8 people.
Carl, I think you have to get with Jerry on this asap. Is the award to each player, or divided!?!
Carl: Nope, 11,000gp EACH from Renik. This is confirmed with Jerry. Plus 8,800gp each from Philip if he chooses to award it here and not in the local game. Philip? Who gets the cash?
Philip: Windhorn. Local guys are getting Brian's money (I think) =)
Renik d20+25=34 d20+20=26 d20+14=24 d20+14=20 Thursday July 14th, 2005 2:54:42 PM
The rogue claps Monthor on the back with a grin. "A close shave, eh? Or is that a rude thing to say to a dwarf?" he adds with a cheeky wink. "Still, no harm done, and it dusted off the cobwebs. So tell me, how is BlackPaws slobber this time of year?"
He shakes Serent's hand, thanking her for her part in getting past the eagles.
The moment of relief and joking passed he goes back to his careful scouting. The plural used by the eagles is not lost on him.
(Hide 34, MS 26, Spot 24, Listen 20).
Monthot Thursday July 14th, 2005 3:30:07 PM
Monthor laughs at Renik' joke and slaps his little buddy back on the back (ooc>?????? Poor English, but hey, I'm French Canadian after all.)
The slap may have been a little to strong (st 22) just to punctuate the humor appropriatly.
" The slobber was fine me friend and at least BlackPaws is prettier then the Princess. "
:: Monthor laughs again. ::
Monthor then rejoins the rest of his little buddies on the treck. Having gained a little knowledge, if not a little wisdom, Monthor will be sur to keep quiet next time.
ooc> Blame the wisdom score, not the player! Okay... maybe both :-)
Draax Thursday July 14th, 2005 4:55:45 PM
Draax is actually a little shocked that they made it pass the bird without a physical confrontation. He sobers up when he remembers that they will still have to face the guardians. He looks at Serent and the other grigs with a little more respect, thinking to himself that they handle themselves pretty well.
Feng Friday July 15th, 2005 4:09:24 AM
"Renik I have no idea how you pulled that off. WIth the way they hung around and took interest I thought we were caught for sure." Feng says still in disbelief.
Onward to the Gate (DM Cayzle) Friday July 15th, 2005 9:14:18 AM
As you walk forward through the grasses and brush, you see that ahead the canyon narrows and there are very tall trees standing at the end. You are still a good quarter mile off, so those trees are tall. That must be the place.
[OOC: Folks, this is it! High noon! The accountability moment! So please put on your A game and be clever, brave, and cautious. What is your strategy? Who has what role? Remember the words of Joe Hand: "We Dragons only managed to fight the Guardian to a draw!" Oh, and by the way, this is the Thursday DM post!]
Monthor Friday July 15th, 2005 12:33:01 PM
ooc> Monthor will certainly be a follower here and not a leader. Unless there be bashing needed, he'll do as he's told and keep his mouth shut. Aside from the obvious "he's a fighter" reason, I have one more week before vacation. So, I may not be around for the entire encounter (Leaving July 24th, returning late July 31st. No PC access).
:: Uncharacteristicaly, Monthor stays silent. Not even an "Hi ho, hi ho, off to work we go" comes out of his mouth during the rest of the journey. Monthor keep a hand on his axe, watches and listens to what the others have to say. Monthor may not be wise, but he is intelligent enough to know that the others in the party have more experience then he does. As his Pappy has told him many times over, to many war leaders spoil the beer. ::
Renik (with apologies to Joe) Friday July 15th, 2005 12:56:58 PM
The rogue quietly calls everyone over, grigs and party, and explains the plan that Tratain and the others have been working on.
"OK, our aim here is to get past these Guardians. We have to try our very best to do so without a fight. First we use diplomacy, flattery, trickery, misdirection, whatever works. For this I suggest we continue the ruse we used against the eagles. It may work or they may see straight through it. If that fails I'll try to talk our way through.
And if that fails... well. If that fails remember our goal is to get through the gate, not defeat the guardians. Arien and Tratain will have to do the delaying while everyone else makes a run for the gate if things go bad.
Now Tratain is going to cast Silence on three coins. I'll keep one in my Pant's of Plenty. We need 2 others to do likewise. If things go bad we can take them out, throw them, whatever. Just keep them away from Arien and Tratain. Throwing them near the Guardians should create an overlaping silence Zone.
If Arien has it memorized and the Guardians aren't too mighty we might try and hit them with an Evards Black Tentacles spell, and then Tratain Tries to hit them with a Dimensional Anchor Spell to keep them from escaping.
If needed We try and seal them off with a Wall of Force and Wall of Stone buying us a little more time.
Everyone in the party except Arien and Tratain and I should be heading for that gate as fast as they can. Arien and Tratain will have to Cast, Move Cast Move, until everyone is safely through or near the gate. I'll hang back and run interference, as I can fly more quickly than most of us can move, and can make myself much harder to hit.
Then we either run for it or Arien can Dimension Door us to the gate. We need to stick to the Plan, if the guardian is as tough as we're planning for theres a real chance that people will get killed if someone does something foolish and you force the rest of us to have to attempt to rescue you.
Remember, you grigs, your top priority is to get through that gate.
But let us hope it will not come to that. Let's see if words will succeed in place of weapons."
Arien (Mage Armor, Fly) Friday July 15th, 2005 2:30:04 PM
Arien casts Fly on both him and Tratain before they enter the Guardian's area. "I have a couple of walls of force memorizes as well as a solid fog, between those spells we should be able to get past these guardians. I do have some dimension doors memorized currently as well."
Draax Friday July 15th, 2005 8:29:49 PM
Draax listens as Renik goes over the plan. I think me and Monthor are the only ones left that do not use some type of vocal magic. I will take a coin and put it in my pants of panty.
Tratain Saturday July 16th, 2005 12:16:17 AM
When they get closer to the guardians area, Tratain moves to the center of the Group and casts his Silence spells and hands them out to Renik, Draax, and Monthor.
Sarigar and Black Paws (AC 24/21 CV 142 of 145) Saturday July 16th, 2005 1:51:55 AM
The brothers keep quiet and listen to Renik's plan of getting past the guardians. Finally getting a moment to sit and do nothing, he finally gets a look at himself in grig disguise. He looks shocked and amazed at how different he looks. He looks back at his "behind" and sees the cricket-like posterior and shakes it to be sure it's really his. After several moments, he just starts laughing at himself.
Black Paws watches the grigs flit about and shakes his head when they start pulling at his ears or braiding his hair.
Final Preparation (DM Cayzle) Saturday July 16th, 2005 10:20:15 AM
Serent and the other cricket-taurs listen carefully to what Renik says. "SureTryTheTrickeryAgain!" says Serent, "WorthAChance! IfThatFails, ThenWe'llGoInvisibleAndFlyForIt. Okay?"
[OOC: This is the Friday DM Post. We'll tackle the Gate Monday or Tuesday. Feel free to plan and post here through the weekend. Good Luck! -- Cayzle]
Arien Saturday July 16th, 2005 3:06:32 PM
"Since the grigs are so small I say that if it comes to running for it, they all jump on Blackpaws and some of the other party members to prevent us from being spread out. That way I don't have to worry about them if I need to start casting spells."
Feng Saturday July 16th, 2005 5:50:25 PM
"Serent do you know what the guardians are? You mentioned they were odd. Could you tell us anything else about the guardians?" Feng asks hoping the grig knows something more.
Cricket-taurs (DM Cayzle) Saturday July 16th, 2005 11:24:54 PM
"WeHaveNoIdea!" say the grigs. "WeNeverCameThisWayBefore!"
But one of them, a young Daisymum, has an idea -- "WeServeQueenMaab. TheGuardiansServeQueenMaab. WhyNotJustBeFriendly?"
Renik Sunday July 17th, 2005 11:47:58 AM
Renik nods at the young grig's words. "You're quite right. Friendly is the way to go. We only discuss battle as a last resort. If all else fails we must know what is required of us. You grigs invisible and flying, or clinging onto BlackPaws sounds the best bet."
To Serent he says "I think we worked well together before. Why don't we both speak for the group? Everyone else keep to the back behind the real grigs to give our illusion more chance of success.
Does anyone have any last questions before we approach?
Tratain Sunday July 17th, 2005 10:07:41 PM
Tratain nods at Renik's Words and what they Grig has to say.
He says "I think its a good Idea you and Serant speak for us, the rest of us will try and keep out of site like you said. Trying to talk our way past is the best option, but we are prepared as best we can be for the guardians to see through the spell and attack us. We don't really want to fight them, they are not evil beings, but we can not allow them to stop us from seeing Queen Maab."
Draax Sunday July 17th, 2005 10:58:57 PM
Draax listens to the plan and nods his head to let the others know that he agrees. "Only Serent and Renik talking will give us the best chance" He looks at Monthor and smiles, "Isn't that right Monthor?"

Something occurs to Renik.
"You grigs can turn invisible, right? Can you make oithers invisible too? Or cast helpful magics on others? If so any spells to make the group harder to see or fleeter or foot would be welcomed."
He wonders what manner of being these guardians will be.

The head grig is sorry. "NoTheIllusionOfBeingUnseenOnlyWorksForOneself."

Renik nods at Serent's words.
"Very well. If it looks to be helpful I'll cast invisibility on others using my wand. Do you have any other magics that might help the team? Your fiddle conjured up a great dance before. Perhaps you know other tunes that might help?"
