Cori is correct, and wraiths begin to materialize out of the walls at the DOWN side of both rooms. One drifts toward Tericus with a rather nasty expression.
Onrad carefully scoops up the artifact, remembering well not to touch it.
Gareth scoops up the unconscious captive. The guy is heavy. Someone lesser than Gareth wouldn't be able to lift him.
The guinea pig squeaks and tweaks it's nose, in Dahlia's hands. It's not struggling.
The stair case to the tower is on an angle, and will need some awkward climbing. There's a door at the top - closed.
Meanwhile, 7 wraiths are now out of the wall in the right room. 8 are now in the left room. Nick's spell causes 4 of them to split and drift into shreds of cloud However. More are coming. The nearest are now only 20 ft away from the party.
Tericus Wednesday September 14th, 2005 6:51:01 AM
"Lets get out of here! There are too many to turn." Tericus says as he follows the others out. Just to be safe, he'll cast a daylight spell to hold off the wraiths.
Myrridan 4d8(6+5+3+6)+21=41 Wednesday September 14th, 2005 8:16:21 AM
Myrridan, in his invisible stalker form, moves within range of the wraiths (within 75ft of all the wraiths) and releases a devestating wave of positive healing energy that rips into the bodies of the undead. Myrridan remains invisible since this is the natural form of the Invisible Stalker.
(Casting Mass Cure Critical Wounds. 41 points of damage each to 21 different undead creatures. Will save DC 32 or they take half that. Of course, this will heal living creatures.)

Cori mutters under her breathe and heads for the higher part of the spiral and tower. She just hopes that thier retreat has not also been cut off. She slips her goggles down over her eyes as she feels the stars appear before her eyes, knowing that it is too late to save herself some pain. "I do hate that spell...warning before light please." She is going over her spells as she moves to see what she can do to slow these things down.

Onrad steps forward against the wraiths. "Come on suckers. You only have seconds before our priests send you to Gargul where you belong!"
Onrad goes total Defense to hold off as many as he can while he hopes the priest continue to take care of them.
Valdor Wednesday September 14th, 2005 2:50:01 PM
Valdor laughs out loud, walks past Onrad, grabs the bag and says,"Well, if you guys and gals want to hang around and fight, be my guest. I don't see the need to do that. I'll lead the way instead of covering the back side."
He moves out behind Dahlia shaking his head and moving with speed, knowing they can handle a hundred wraiths without his help.

Mordrid Wednesday September 14th, 2005 8:21:47 PM
Mordrid assists Dahlia with the heavy bag. (Human in the shape of a rodent). And makes his way up the stairs.
"Dahlia, there's a locked door up here. I'll get the bag. You focus on getting us through this safely."
The ranger calls down to his comrads below, "Don't take any unnecessary risk guys. Those wraiths are tougher than you might think. They'll take years off you in the blink of an eye." Mordrid looks again to see where the newest member of the party is?
Nick Thursday September 15th, 2005 12:06:39 AM
Nick backs up and gets ready to climb the stairs. If there's a window nearby, he'll try and smash it with his flail, in order to let the daylight in.
DM Jan Thursday September 15th, 2005 12:48:57 AM
Tericus's Daylight spell illuminates the area, which gives the party more light, but does nothing to stop the wraiths from congregating on the near side of the walls. The evil creatures gather in greater numbers, although to the right, a number of them tear apart like leaves as Myrridan sends out a wave of healing.
As the Dragons find their way up the stairs, more and more wraiths pour through the walls until both left and right rooms and parts of the corridor at this side of the prism wall are crowded with them.
And there they stop. An overwhelming curtain of grey doom. So? So what? What are they, other than undead incorporal minions? Deadly to the average adventurer, sure, but to men and women who have spent their lives fighting for good, year after year, with fortitudes of steel and an unbreakable will , honed by years of fighting evil? Mere fodder, surely.
But Evil has a tendency to find a way....
Collectively, the wraiths fill the area with a spine-shivering unnatural aura, making the skin crawl and the stomach churn. Adrenalin begins to raise the alarm.
Dahlia's skill is tested but not bettered by a fairly complicated lock, which clicks back after approximately 15 seconds. As for traps, none that she can see or sense. Nothing waiting to spring, unless of course it had been triggered earlier.
Suddenly, a crack appears beneath the door, and the door begins to swing open, and beyond it is a vista to boggle the mind. A short peninsula, riddled with small red-coloured fissures, alongside a roaring river of brilliant red. Beyond that, what looks like a mighty ocean of blood, and beyond that, black islands coated in mist.
The crack in the step outside the door starts to fill with a red substance, and every magic item within 50ft of the door starts to vibrate - violently.
Corialote [HP: 152/171 - AC: 33]{shapechange: pixie, true seeing, extended mass bull's strength} d20+4=13 d20+14=33 Thursday September 15th, 2005 2:37:46 AM
That odd vibration starts with all of her magical gear as the door is opened and she groans, not realizing she is speaking in drow. "Great...another trip to the other side." She watches the wraiths stop and is suddenly glad that she is already flying. Without a second thought she flutters past the others and into what should be a room, she does call back in common. "What do you think...what is behind or in front of us." Her eyes search the gloom of this world as she tries to spot anything dangerous, which is likely.

"Just can't get enought of this place, can we? Well at least we have more time there than here..." He goes whatever direction the mages recommend. If they stay he sets down the bodies and prepares to fight.
Onrad Thursday September 15th, 2005 11:36:44 AM
"Onrad's face goes white. Woldsblood! That's the Plane of Shadow! Careful not to touch any."
He pauses.
"Why this here? Now? What could have sent it? If the blacks set this up as a trigger spell, they are way ahead of us in castle defenses.
"Why do I get the idea this comes from some other source? Either something we carry or someone that has been watching us?"
Nick Thursday September 15th, 2005 12:33:15 PM

I don't care which way we go, but it looks like the wraiths don't want us going back, and I really don't like undead. So, last one through is a rotten egg."
He grabs hold of his sword, as it's probably vibrating the most, and steps through to a solid spot on the ground. He makes his way with much care, making sure not to touch any of the Woldsblood. He mumbles loudly,"..haven't seen any..whole life...lately I've seen...much."
Once in a ways, he looks around at the surroundings.
Come! [DM Jerry] Friday September 16th, 2005 12:37:17 PM
The wraiths cower from the Plane of Shadows. A great wind causes a suction in the hallway and all the wraiths are drawn screaming in pain and defiance through the opening. There, wisps of blood from the rivulets reach out and entice the undead into the blood, where their faces calm and a mad joy envelopes the undead. Countenances change revealing the true soul as they travel to be judged by Gargul, God of Life and Death.
[Reflex save of 20 to avoid being dragged into the Plane of Shadow.]
[If you miss the first save or enter voluntarily, make a will save of 15 to avoid landing in Woldsblood.]
The portal undulates as if it will not remain open for long.
Suddenly two angelic spirits speed towards the aperture of the gateway and make motions beckoning you forward.
The shape of their lips seem to form the word,

I need level 21 versions of your characters sent to me immediately.
Combat, save situations, and skill use opportunities will be coming fast so I need all sheets in by Monday.
I am probably going to take a personal day Monday to go to the doctor, work on these sheets, and prepare the time ahead.
Stephen and I have the next month planned out in detail, but there is "grunt" work left to do to prepare monsters, stats for situations, maps, descriptions, etc. that must be done.
So it would greatly help if I had all sheets by Monday morning so I can put that behind me.

Cori had already slipped into the Plane of Shadows just a short time earlier to have a look around. She figured that the group would have to enter here anyways and was just saving time.
She watches the wraiths fly by to get sucked into pools of Woldsblood and then go for their judgement from Gargul. She finds that flying makes it much easier to avoid the Woldsblood altogether and smiles. "Ahhhh...are they really looking for us?" She points in the direction of the two forms that seem to be waving them forward. Her eyes dart this way and that as she strains her ears to pick up anything in this place besides the murmors of the dead.

The Message (DM Stephen) Tuesday September 20th, 2005 7:44:03 AM
As the rest of you pass into the realm of shadow, you are careful to avoid the streams of woldsblood. However, the woldsblood is much easier to avoid while in the presence of these glorious celestials. The blood near them seems to glow a bit brighter and far more pungent in smell. So much so you can almost taste it in your mouth. The two celestials greet you with a smile. They both glow with a nimbus of holy light. You all know without a shadow of a doubt know they are good and true. You feel an overwhelming sense of peace and tranquility while standing in their light. Even in a place such as the Shadow Realm. Both Celestials hover above the ground with silvery wings. Their glimmering robes flow loosely from their muscular physiques. However, one of the celestials appear taller than the other and her skin is a brilliant emerald green. She holds a golden trumpet in one hand and a glorious shield in the other. A sword hangs from her side. The smaller one has silvery skin and clutches a massive tome with both his hands. The taller one speaks. "I bring to thee a message of the Tome Archon of Prophets. Prepare thy selves." The tome archon releases his book and it floats freely. Its pages open up on its own and you're all hit with a blinding light. The message is spoken to you in the form of a dream.
"Ebyron's smile was both indulgent and condescending. Both emotions failed to register in his handsome eyes however, as though the eyes knew the true odds. "All this time," he began, "I knew you'd cling to that crown. My dear Queen, did you think I would not anticipate this? Did you entertain the foolish notion that I would come meekly? Be your puppet?" The satyr king gave a sharp stamp of his cloven hoof, and nearby branches veered away fearfully, only to return, swooning, as Ebyron stretched wide his arms. "See the power I have! See nature's love for me! You have neither the right, nor the strength to deny me!" He turned slowly, his arms still outstretched, his fingers beckoning. Energy gathered there at those fingertips - a wisp of flame, a tiny cloud of sand; drops of moisture and the tiniest, perfect little whirlwind.
And with such small gestures, the entire Wold came to rest - no wind, no rain, no fire, no tremors of earth.
The elements gathered around their king, cloaking him in a strange mist. "You want me tame and compliant, my Queen?" came his voice through the billowing cloud. "Then first, you must catch me."
The blast came with no warning, bringing with it a power that only Maab could withstand without falling. Across continents, dwindled fires burst to life again, blasting outward. Seas and lakes thrashed, the earth quaked, and howling winds tore at everything in their path. Fragments burst from the cloud, being the essence of Ebyron, torn into a multitude of pieces and carried away by the elements.
In moments, it was over. But not before the fae queen had acted swiftly, gathering light into tiny, dazzling stars. "Show me," she urged. Hot on the heels of the fragments of Ebyron, the stars hurtled outward. "You can't hide," she whispered. "Not from me. Now, show them. Let your own power betray you." It took seconds for each pin point of light to reach it's destination, and once done, change trajectory and converge...
Within the walls of the Cathedral of Light, in the middle of Plateau City, the Room of Artifacts suddenly burst into life. The source? Ebron's orb, so recently brought back, at great risk and loss of life, from a time gone by. Colours and shapes reflected on the walls, and light surrounding the orb grew outward, becoming the great disks of the Wold. Pin points of brilliance flickered here and there, scattered across the Land. Here lies Ebyron. Here. And here.
Back in the Valley, the Fae Queen Maab uncurled her fingers and looked down into the palm of her hand. Three small acorns lay there, all three enscribed with a unique rune - ATONE, SLEEP, DIE. "The choice you should have made, will now be left to others," she said, her voice tainted with a raw sadness. "Let the runes grow where they may. I have done all I can. I can do no more."
The three acorns dropped listlessly from her hand, where the ground swallowed them, and their power spread."
Onrad Tuesday September 20th, 2005 9:10:37 AM
Onrad shakes himself fully awake. "I had a feeling that Maab and Eberyon had unfinished business. But why tell us here and now?"
Looking slightly confused, he turns to Nonam who is much better at riddles than he.
Tericus Tuesday September 20th, 2005 10:12:32 AM

Mordrid stands in awe of the vision, "Maab said that others will now have to decide Ebyron's fate. If we are taking a vote, I say he goes back to sleep."
To Valdor, "I assume we find the location where the runes were dropped?"

The vision unfolds before her and she shakes her head in wonder. Taking in every detail she is quick to note that they put this Fae King down because they thought him too chaotic. She wonders if they even gave him a chance and if they did what did he do to earn her ire. As the vision draws to a close she looks around to the others and purses her lips in thought.
"Why should we think to put him back to sleep?" Her quiet musings are only meant for her own benefit, but she is saying them outloud. "Maybe if given the chance he could do the job...maybe with support he could find his way to stop the chaos." As she looks to the others she gives a sheepish grin. "Sorry, bad habit when you spend so much time alone...you tend to ramble outloud."

Dahlia Tuesday September 20th, 2005 5:15:30 PM
Watching in awe, Dahlia slowly shakes her head as the visions and images play before her eyes.
At the blast, a soft gasp escapes her lips and she in advertantly steps backward as if to avoid the blast herself. And then as Maab works her magic against himmand shows where each fragment of Ebyron has fled to, she takes the time to log each place, thinking that somehow it may prove to be important.
Then comes the choice... Three small acorns lay there, all three enscribed with a unique rune - ATONE, SLEEP, DIE....
"Atone, sleep or die," she whispers to herself unconciously reaching toward the sleep inscribed acorn.
From close by it registers that Cori is questioning the wisdom of these choices and fights her wat back to full awareness.
Still not sure if Cori was truely thinking about an additional alternative, or just musing possiblities outloud, she speaks.
"Cori, he is responsible for what is going on in the Float." You can't possibly want that sort of power to remain free and unfettered?"
Nick Tuesday September 20th, 2005 7:53:00 PM
Nick feels a lot happier basking in the light of the two celestials as opposed to battling wills with his immediate surroundings. So, he is relatively calm as the vision takes place, and absorbs as much as he can.
"Has any one of you seen that orb in Plateau City? At the Cathedral? It seems as though it would tell us where he is, at least."
As an afterthought, while he waits to see what the others think about it, he takes out the letter delivered to him and opens it up. Could be urgent. One never knew.
To The Fray....or is it Fae? [DM Jerry] Tuesday September 20th, 2005 9:11:15 PM
The celestials bow as the wisdom of the Platinum Dragons is shown by their responses to the dream.
"The dream has occurred. Maab would now have you confront and subdue the largest portion of Eberyon.
The other one speaks and sounds like a trumpet announcing the end of the Wold.
"And once subdued, thou shalt cast your judgment upon him as adventurers all throughout the Wold are now preparing to do."
She casts down her sword and sprouting from it are some wicked writhing plantlike tentacles. Attached to the ends of the tentacles are tokens, bright platinum in color. Three tokens to a plant interlinked with a fine chain.
One of the celestials reaches forward to select a chain with three tokens. This she hands to Valdor.
"Do not choose your token until Eberyon is subdued. Then cast it upon him! Thus shall you teach him the judgment of the Noble Adventurers of the Wold!"
She motions for each Platinum Dragon to select a chain of tokens from the plant. Once this is done, she reaches to pick up her sword and the plants wither.
"Now, to the fray...I mean the Fae. That's a joke. I am told that the Noble Races appreciate such things."
It throws down its chain and yet another gate forms. On the other side of the gate, in the distance, the broken skyline of the ancient city of Fae Skiemir!
"Behold!"
Myrridan Tuesday September 20th, 2005 9:24:46 PM
Out of the cold dark recesses of shadow and mist, the archdruid materializes from a swirl of wind to flesh and bone. Myrridan breaks his long silence. "Death is not an option as far as I can see. The life pool swells and ripples with his slightest touch. Nature embraces him as children cling to their mother. The halflings who witnessed his rebirth spoke of him shouting "stewards, you are dead to me" just before slaughtering many score of my brethren. Other witnesses said he claimed their life energy and added it to his own, as if he were collecting on a loan. Someone who is as ancient as Lady Mabb and who has such sway over the elements must have been their at the beginning, when the Wold was but a sapling. Quite possibly his very hands tilled the soil where the first seeds were planted. Now, we are asked to cast our own seeds. For as long as he has remained, the Wold has flourished and produced its bounty. Is it wise to snuff out his spark, not knowing what affect it will have on all life, both wild and tame."
Myrridan pauses and lifts his hand to his chin. "No, I don't believe Atonement is possible. As you saw from the vision, his nature is chaotic and wild. To try and tame him may have an ill effect on nature as well. Nature needs chaos just as much as it needs order. It stands to reason, that a return to a deep slumber is the only tried and true solution. From sleep did he remain all these millennia and to sleep he must return." With those final words, Myrridan reachs forward and takes his chain.
Corialote [HP: 152/171 - AC: 33]{shapechange: , true seeing, extended mass bull's strength} Tuesday September 20th, 2005 9:53:51 PM
Cori looks to the vines and steps forward taking her own chain. She slips it around her neck so that it will be easy to reach later. She listens to the druid of the group with some thought. "You maybe right...but is there not the smallest chance that he could atone...his previous actions have all been in part due to his imprisonment." She knows that everyone knows their history of the Wold at least to some extent. "Was not Gargul once evil and repented of what he did...did we think to put him to rest or would we have done so if given the choice." She looks to the others and then shakes her head. "I do not fight for or against any of the choices...just that we should see what he has to say...our judgements cannot be made lightly."
With a look to Dahlia she nods her head in understanding. "I can see a reason for not letting him stay awake as much as the next...he has caused much trouble." The next she does not want to really say as it may affect choices when the time comes. "What will happen if he is put to sleep but then wakes once more at a later time...I say he will be doubly mad and this time he may not hold back as he did this time around...I do not say kill him but be sure that the choices we make will not harm the future more." She had not voted to bring back the Fae King in the first place because she had not gotten the information that she was wanting and now it was happening again. "Maybe if restored to his rightful place he will temper himself...it is true that he holds great sway over nature...what may he do before he is fully asleep?" She shuts her mouth as she jumps through the new portal. Her true decision will have to wait till she gets her answers or woe she has to make one without all the facts.

Valdor Wednesday September 21st, 2005 1:07:14 AM
Valdor nods at Mordrid and listens carefully as the others have their say.
Just before Cori jumps through, Valdor, who has stood silent and in deep thought, places his hand upon her shoulder and says,"You are quite right. He should be given a chance to atone. If he does not, I also agree that death is not an option, if we can even kill him, that is. So, we will refrain making decisions until we have more knowledge. Assuming we win and put him to sleep, we will have to rust that there will be heroes in the future who can combat him then. It will no longer be our fight.
I fear he won't conform, or at least somewhat control himself and nature, which is why Lady Maab put him to sleep in the first place.
Of course, there is a part of me that feels as I do when a village of humans, elves, or dwarves are attacked by orcs. I want to stomp them into the dirt. We didn't start this fight, and many of our friends and cohabitants of our cities and even the elves in nature, are dead because of his lack of control.
It is a difficult decision. So, we gather more information, find out how to find him, and confront him. Only then, will we know the true course we should take. Of course, how will we put to sleep, or kill his other fragments? There seemed to be many."
He falls silent, still deep in thought, as though something else is bothering him. He moves in behind Cori as she goes through the gate and follows.
Nick Wednesday September 21st, 2005 1:34:02 AM
Dimly, he's aware of the tokens, and someone talking, but the letter commands his attention.
Little brother,
Father died last night. A peaceful end to a long life, but a shock nonetheless. I think we all thought he'd live forever. Please return home as soon as you can. Mother is upset and needs us all at this time.
Michael Valentine. PS. Henry has been informed.
Father died last night. Funny how just reading it like that, didn't make it sound so bad. In fact, he feels light hearted, or was that light headed?
Hard to tell, but right now he can't move a muscle. Eyes locked on the letter.
Tericus Wednesday September 21st, 2005 7:00:56 AM
Tericus looks at the druid and says "Atonement is always possible. It should not be denied anyone." then he follows Valdor through the gate
Onrad Wednesday September 21st, 2005 9:25:57 AM
I withhold my opinion until we see how he reacts to us coming to bring him judgment. I would not free nor condemn a being before meeting him.
Onrad then peers through the new gateway.
"Fae Skiemir, I remember the placard as you approach. It said:
'Welcome to Fae Skiemir--the greatest treasure hoard in the Wold! ...and welcome to your deaths!'
"...Or something like that."
Mordrid (bull strength , cats grace) Wednesday September 21st, 2005 10:18:01 AM
Mordrid walks forward and grabs a chain that is higher up on the vines. Mordrid responds to Valdor's comment about Ebyron's fragments...
"We must trust that these voices of fate will visit all our brothers and sisters in the adventurers guild; each group with a job to do."
"Now we must venture into Fae Skiemer. The dread city, that even heros avoid. Many have lost there life there."
As Mordrid walks forward to the gate, he sees Nick... frozen... with a letter in his hand. The ranger verbally throws water on the cleric, "NICK! Is there a problem?"
Valdor Wednesday September 21st, 2005 10:42:24 AM
Realizing where they are, Valdor chuckles and replies to Onrad's and Mordrid's comments saying,"Well, I've been here three times, left with piles of money, lived to tell it, and STILL don't want to build a summer home here. There are dragons everywhere here...or at least there used to be. All I really remember about it are the weird magic zones and that we always are in a hurry to get out. Everyone be prepared to run at any time. Teleporting is dangerous while here, if I recall correctly. Just a word of caution."
Nick Wednesday September 21st, 2005 3:36:41 PM
Nick blinks at Mordrid, not seeing him for a second, then shakes his head in an effort to clear his thoughts. He takes a deep breath."Er... it's my father. He died." He shows Mordrid the letter, and tells everyone else through the earpiece. "I guess I need permission to go home. Just for a few days."
Corialote Wednesday September 21st, 2005 6:45:54 PM
Cori looks to Valdor and nods her head. "That was my thoughts as well...I just don't want to make the wrong decision." Once on the other side she listens to Valdor as he speaks about this place. "I have never been here...but it sounds like a place to experiment." You see the flash in her eyes as she stares around and then turns her head to regard Valdor. "How does one know they are in one of these special fields?" There is excitment there as well as a desire to learn more.
You get the idea that if she can she will be testing out some of the fields in this place. She may also spend some time trying to get back here to study the area as well.

Valdor Wednesday September 21st, 2005 9:17:24 PM
Valdor replies,"Well, I think they resemble a bubble of sorts, actually. Some of them are non-magic zones, where magic simply fails. Some cause changes in your spells. A fireball, for instance, might only be partially effective compared to normal...or many more times effective...or even a completely different spell than you intended. Anyway, it's rather odd, and you should warn us before any crazy attempts, just in case."
Dahlia Wednesday September 21st, 2005 9:37:44 PM
Reaching forward, Dahlia takes her chain and slips it in to one of her many pockets.
Listening to Valdor she adds her piece as well. There are areas that won't allow trnsportation spells, and fire spells are always a bit iffy. Quick skulking is very necessary here. You do not want to stay in any one place too long.
As she hears Nick's announcement, she goes quiet, hardly daring to think what it would be like without Father Nicholas being along.
"Father Nicholas, you go take care of what you need to. Know that you will be sorely missed, and remember that you have family here too. God speed and good luck."
Mordrid (bull stregnth, cats grace) Wednesday September 21st, 2005 11:56:54 PM
Mordrid holds Nick's letter in his hands and silently reads.
Looking up, he places his arm around the cleric's shoulder and pulls him close, into a heart felt embrace.
Silently whispers, "I am so very sorry for your loss my friend. I feel like you are a brother to me, and I feel your loss. My heart aches for you."
"Go and do what you must. There will always be a place for you here with the Gold Dragon's. You have proven your worth time and time again. And your wisdom and heart felt thoughts are an inspiration to us all. We need you. Hurry back."
Turning he waves at Valdor and shouts across the barren distance between them, "My friend and leader! Nick has something important to share with you. Our brother is in need."
Mordrid sees what appears to be a bold and blazing shooting star on the horizon deep in this strange land.
Mordrid nods to Nick and points at the flare of light; making it understood the ranger believes the arora may very well be Nick's dad, passing from one realm to the next.
The old ranger's voice is waivering and cracked, "Your old man's light still shines bright. Be proud and..." the ranger lets his words die as the emotion comes over him.
Death in the Family (DM Stepben) d100=82 d100=75 d100=88 d6=1 d6=5 d6=5 Thursday September 22nd, 2005 1:32:52 AM
Corialote steps into the arched gate and through a swirl of mist and and light. Then Valdor makes his way, followed by both Myrridan and Tericus. You each feel yourselves fall through a winding tunnel of time and space. You feel yourselves being stretched and contorted far beyond your nature forms limits. And just as your flesh disolves into a primordial ooze consistency, your physical form suddenly snaps back into shape as you pierce through the other side with a sharp clap of energy and light. Before you stands the familiar sight (for some of you) of the ruins of Fae Skiemer. Just 30 feet away, a large, wicked-looking, winged creature sits perched on a pile of rubble. He is startled by your sudden appearance and falls backward clumsily off his seat with a shriek. His body is gaunt and covered in a scaley exoskeleton that resembles rough stone. Much like a gargoyal but different. None of you have ever seen such a creature. Even though he is larger than any of you, he lies there trembling and cowering in fear.
Mordrid is about follow his comrads when he stops short of the gate. Father Nicholas stands there holding a note with a look of sorrow and dread. Mordrid and Dahlia do their best to console.
(Sorry for the lateness. I fell asleep in front of the tube and didnt wake up until after midnight.)
Tericus Thursday September 22nd, 2005 6:56:05 AM
"What is that?" Tericus asks everyone around him. "And why is it groveling? It looks like it could tear us apart!"
Onrad Thursday September 22nd, 2005 8:57:51 AM
Under his breath, Onrad growls softly and says, "platinum dragons."
His words are lost on the wind.
Nick, contact us when you're ready to return or if you need us. We are at your service always.
He picks up a chain of choices as the others have done and goes through the gate.
"Gods I hate this place."
"Gods I love this place."
He looks up and sees the bird. His mouth drops open.
His hand draws his sabre in a defensive position and he sighs.
It's starting early this time.
Nick Thursday September 22nd, 2005 2:45:05 PM
Nick returns Mordrid's embrace with a firm grip, something solid in a world suddenly turned upside down, then he breaks off and glances toward the gate where Valdor has already gone through. "Look after him Mordrid. Sometimes he's so busy protecting us, that he forgets about himself. And you be careful in there, brother."
He gives Dahlia a big hug also. "You be careful, too, young lady. Try and stay out of trouble. I'll miss you. I'll be back as soon as I can."
He steps back, and watches everyone go through. Alemi keep watch on my brothers and sisters, Dahlia, Mordrid, Valdor, Cori, Tericus, Gareth, Myrridan, Onrad, and Nonam. Give them light where there is darkness, guard their souls against evil, and guide their way through the madness of Fae Skimeir.
He looks up into the dark for a moment, pondering Mordrid's words. It switches his thoughts toward his other family, his natural family. Had Henry recieved the message and was on his way home, too? How was his mother taking it? Although he had kept up regular correspondance it had been years since he had been home. Michael was the head of the family now, and would take over father's duties. For Nick and Henry, things probably wouldn't change. Stupid little thoughts and questions to soften the impact of a father dying. It is a distraction that he becomes aware of quickly. No time for thoughts such as this. Not here. First things first, he had to get to safety.
Nick takes a deep breath, and clasps his hands together. "Sanctuary," he says.

Cori looks to Valdor and nods her head. "You can bet that more than a few spells will be cast here if we get into a fight." Her smile is really exasperating as she seems to be enjoying the idea. "I guess the chances are high that I will get to enjoy some spectacular happenings then." Her eyes flash with the idea of exploration and the knowledge that she may be obtaining. It is enough to make you groan.
Turning to Dahlia she shakes here head. "I am not too sure about skulking...that is really not my area but I guess I could give it a try...you know for an experiment." Her eyes are still flashing with the discoveries she may find out about herself and this area.
Her gaze settles upon the creature ahead of them and she purses her lips. "Does something seem funny here...I mean I know that some of use seem fearsome...but myself am beautiful and meek." This is just a hint of sarcasm in her voice but she does keep the wand in her hand ready for any actions from this creature. Her eyes dart around to see if something else is around that may cause problems.

Valdor, oblivious to Nick's situation since he's already through the gate, doesn't see nor hear Mordrid, but does see the large creature with wings.
He keeps his sword sheathed and looks around to get his bearings, trying to see if he recgnizes any of his surroundings from a previous visit.

Gargoyle Singing in the Dead of Night [DM Jerry] Friday September 23rd, 2005 8:58:57 AM
The strange gargoyle creature falls over on his back in surprise.
"Ahhh. No. Uh Uh. No way."
He clumsily regains his feet and half flying and half hopping, addresses the group.
"Ahhhhh. Please don't take me back there! It's not....Please! I demand it! Grrrrrr...."
And with that it begins to run away, half hopping, half gliding.
"Grrrr...."

Following quickly on Valdor's heels, Dahlia can't help but chuckle as the beast trips over itself in its haste to leave.
"Valdor, I told you to cut back on the onions in that omelet. I think you took that wanting dragon's breath a bit too seriously."
Corialote Friday September 23rd, 2005 10:09:41 PM
Cori looks to the creature as it trips over itself to get away and then busts out laughing. She cannot help it as she bends at the waist holding her side, trying to stop. Her sides hurt and tears are flowing from her eyes as she shakes her head.
With some effort she brings herself back under control and lets out a few extra laughs. "Now that was just comical...really...that creature should have been able to take any one of us on without trouble...maybe not all of us together." Her eyes are still wet with tears and she dries them on the hem of her cloak as she shakes her head again.
She has to cover her mouth to keep from falling back into fits of laughter as Dahlia taunts poor Valdor. "That is why I stay upwind and why I will not give him a kiss...though he has asked several times." Her eyes flash as she looks to Valdor with an innocent smile.

Lighten up a bit, Mordrid. Have you never heard of using humor as a way of lightening stressful situations?
She stops and shakes her head and looks at Mordrid for a moment mutters "probably not, " and starts checking the area they are in very carefully.

The ruins of the city look much like they did before. Countless toppled rows of colonnades draped in flora. Elven figures set in relief, upon pediments above elegant archways, depicting a moment in history long forgotten. Statues in classical poses still remain standing with varied pieces of anatomy left broken away. Some structures are completely destroyed, while others appear untouched by the ravages of time. Glassy pieces of tesserae still twinkle in the light from a colorful mosaic that covers what appears to have once been a section of interior wall. What once was a magnificent city is now in the grips of the wild overgrowth of the forest. It is quiet, uncomfortably so. Only the wind rustling through the leaves of the trees.

Parade Salute! {DM Jerry} Monday September 26th, 2005 11:18:16 PM
Dahlia circles, while Cori and Onrad and others search and listen trying to reveal what their experienced senses have already told them:
Something here isn't right.
They are being watched.
Dahlia comes into some heavy brush amongst the trees as she circles ahead. Fighting her way through, she spots an opening ahead.
Meanwhile, others make their way slowly forward.
Revealed is an old road leading towards town. Battle markers are present representing dead and lives lost from several different elven towns. Ancient beyond belief, these monuments stand against the test of time and remain among the creepers, maggots, and other decomposers of the forest floor.
What is even more remarkable is that standing atop each of the markers forming what might be called a parade route or even an ambush alley, depending on your viewpoint, are more of the huge gargoyle like beasts. Each is unusual in its own way. One has two heads, while another has the arms of a bear. Another still, has teeth like a vampire while another shimmers like an undead spirit.
Each, unmoving stands alert and seemingly showing the wide and straight way to destruction: for at their end, lies the edge of the famed city of the elves: Fae Skiemir.
Gargoyle after gargoyle each frozen in place, head turned back as if to view the approach of the party.
Dahlia appears 4 or 5 gargoyles down coming in from the side. The rest of the party look back at her from the end of the processional road.
There is a sense of waiting....waiting for the heroes of legend to come.
They wait for you!
Valdor d20=20 Tuesday September 27th, 2005 12:00:53 AM
For once in a blue moon, Valdor understands what the others are referring to, feeling the eyes upon him. He says,"Sorry Myrridan, you are in and out so much, I missed you my friend. Well, they may not all be scared of us, but that's our destination and I'm ready to get there.
Mycroft always said I'd lead us into the seven, no nine, no...whatever many planes of fire one day. Maybe today is that day, so come on and let's see what secrets the great city holds today for us."
He winks at Cori and turns to begin marching down the road. He activates his ring of Fire Resistance and then his Boots of Speed as he goes, just in case..."
Mordrid (cats grace, bull strength) d20=4 Tuesday September 27th, 2005 1:07:25 AM
Mordrid looks at Dahlia and Cori with a look of frustration (and jealousy). He just doesn't 'get' the care free talents of the elder races. Human's tend be soured by the knowledge of their own impending mortality. What a terrible curse. But, then again, he's seen his fair share of dead fae and kinder races. Likened to seeing a cat dead on the side of the road. Unlikely, but still evidently it happens.
"I don't get the joke." Still he knows that he is the odd ball in the group.
Mordrid takes to the air about 15' above the party. He opens a flask (potion of flaming arrow) and pours it over his quiver.
Using his heightened vantage point he attemps to survey the lane they are traveling. (spot check 4 + 13 skill = 17)

Her eyes twinkle with mirth as she looks to the gargoyles that line the road and shivers. "This appears to be a gauntlet that we must walk to get to what we seek." With a glance at the others who get themselves ready she nods in understanding, flashing a smile and wink at Valdor in return.
She shrugs her shoulders and starts a low chant that does not get too loud, she has no need to speak too loud. Power flexes around her as she draws it in and forms it to her needs. As she smiles again eight images of her surround her and then split of to stand near, each smiling. "Should we make use of stoneskin now..I have two?" Each image seems to speak at once, most annoying really.

Memorial upon memorial stand before you along the path. Valdor leads the plats forward, taking only minor precautions against possible dangers. Each step from boots taps against the cobblestone path. On second glance, the stones arent mere stones, but a pavement of tombstones layed flat against the earth. Evidence of elven writing etched upon them are bearly noticable. Having been worn down by the elements over the countless centuries. Mordrid is alone in avoiding to walk upon them. From his vantage point, he can see that the path seems to lead toward a grand structure. One of the few that appears to be mostly intact.
The grotesque gargoyle-like creatures remain unmoving and unresponsive to all your actions. They maintain their stony statuesque stillness as you progress along your way. All heads are turned towards you along the path, all accept Dahlia, who remains very well hidden. As you pass them by one by one, their stoic gaze does not follow you. They continue to look on down the path behind you from which you came. Maybe these countless statues are just statues.
From the air, Mordrid cant help but notice all these crude-looking, gargoyle-like statues, numbering in the hundreds or even thousands. A more precise number is undiscernable, mostly due to them being obscured by natural overgrowth and the remains of elven archecture. One thing is certain, they're all facing the path.
Myrridan wishes to disappear again. This is all a bit unnerving. He looks hard for signs of life. None he can recognize. He mutters a few phrases in Terran, the language of earth elementals. No response. He casts his barkskin spell anyway.
Corialote and her chorus follows along cautiously. She makes her suggestions about magical preparedness.
The journey into the city is uneventful, but it fails to give you any comfort or ease your nerves. The enormous circular building that you approach has two massive bronze doors, covered top to bottom in relief sculpture. The outer walls are lined with columns connected together with an elegantly designed architrave. Resting between each set of columns is a elven statue. Each one seems to be frozen in place, captured in time, while performing a dramatic scene from a play. Others appear to have their silent voices raised in song. Its easy to determine this place may be some kind of performance hall or theater. Suddenly the massive bronze doors of the grand circular building open before you, all on their own. Quietly beckoning you to enter. Some of you are startled to notice that all the beastly "statues", that lined your path, have apparently turned their gaze back to you. Each one appearing still, motionless and frozen in place. As if that were the position they had always held. Music can be heard from within.
Tericus Wednesday September 28th, 2005 6:51:42 AM
Tericus will follow the lead of the others. he doesnt want to go into the building, but he also doesnt want to stay outside.
Valdor( Fire Resistance) Wednesday September 28th, 2005 10:46:07 AM
Valdor responds to Cori, "Since noone else volunteered, my dear, I will gladly take a stoneskin before we enter. Tericus, Myrridan, do you guys have any spells to boost our strength or stamina? A bless wouldn't hurt either...just in case."
He waits for the clerics, druid, and mages to do their stuff, then will enter with a smile.

Onrad marches forward at Valdor's right flank. He watches the gargoyles carefully as they proceed waiting for the moment that they will undoubttedly animate and attack them. His sabre is out and he is prepared for Total Defense.
Gareth [by Jerry] Wednesday September 28th, 2005 12:29:59 PM
Gareth's ring goes off. "I don't believe it, a call from mom. Yep, I gave her a ring attuned only to me last time I was there. She says there's an Ebryon there in the Dread and wants my help to lead a force to deal with it.
"I can't refuse. This won't take long guys and gals. I'll be back very soon."
Gareth says, "They are sending a Greenmage for me."
Soon, a witch pops in, grabs Gareth, looking worried about her welcome there, and pops out.
[DEH and Gareth will be back in a week or two. He's busy, I don't have a sheet to give to a sub, so this was the easy way to go. He'll be back in as soon as he gets back and can upgrade his character sheet. I'm not planning on removing him from the list. It won't be that long.]

All nine Coris nod to Valdor as they step as one to touch him. All of them seem to fall into the same pose and arcane words are spoken by each. Valdor may not be sure which Cori is real or which one just bestowed a spell upon him, but he can feel it.
All nine Coris speak as one again. "You now how stoneskin...anyone else?" Everyone one of her glances to the others in turn, watching and waiting.

Hide DC 44 Spot DC 40 as the group gets to the building Dahia will again join them and if noone else asks for it will accept the other stone skin from Cori.

These guys are suicidal; and people keep dissappearing.
Mordrid casts Neutralize Poison on himself, while staying above the group. [spell has changed, it has a long duration]
Theatre of the Mind [DM Jerry] Thursday September 29th, 2005 9:59:48 AM
There appear to be three obvious options regarding the theatre.
One would be to talk to the two-headed Minotaur ticket takers at the huge open entrance doors.
Two would be to approach the the Medusa in the ticket booth by the door.
Three would be to try to sneak in the side door with the sign, "Actor's Entrance."
Other possibilities might exist as well, but they are not obvious.
Meanwhile, through the open door you hear the end bit of a song being performed.
"And thus did Joe Hand kill his son. Kill his son. Kill his son And thus did Joe Hand kill his son, Because he was so evil."
Grand applause breaks out among the audience along with hoots, roars, stomops, and other animal and monster sounds.

All nine Coris grin as Dahlia comes her way as they near the theater. She motions her over with a rod in thier hands. She starts the words to another spell that will help Dahlia more than a stoneskin.

Valdor(Fire Resistance, Stoneskin) Friday September 30th, 2005 12:35:50 AM
Valdor says, "I'll see if I can buy us tickets at the front."
He holds his mithril shield up so he can see the booth in the reflection and approaches the medusa walking backwards. He's faced one before and knows what can happen, so he's very careful not to look at her face, even in the reflection. When he gets to her, he asks, "How much for a ticket?"
Tericus Friday September 30th, 2005 9:10:28 AM
waiting to see if Valdor turns to stone, Tericus watches him purchase a ticket, if he's able to

He nods ascent to Cori.
"Guess this means we're going in guns blazing? No friendly banter first?"

Seeing Cori's grin she is sure that whatever she has in store is going to at least be helpful and possibly even fun, and nods her aquiescence to the casting of the spell. She then turns and watches Valdor as he approaches one of the ticket booths.
Guests Of Honor [DM Jerry] Saturday October 1st, 2005 9:02:25 AM
The Medusa turns her beautiful blue eyes upon the hero, Valdor and sighs with longing.
"Wowsy, you're bigger in person than your collector figures, huh?"
She bats her eyes and her snakes bite playfully near his head.
"Oh! Tickets?
"No sir. You are the guests of honor. Enter as you may. Though the stage entrance will take you straight to the stage of course.
She bats her eyes and brushes his hair back with one of her snake appendages.
"If only things were different, huh big guy?"
Valdor(Fire Resistance, Stoneskin) Saturday October 1st, 2005 4:19:30 PM
Valdor smiles and says,"Collector's figures? Of me? How flattering. Thank you my dear, but how did you know we were coming, and why are we the guests of honor?"
Valdor still makes sure not to make eye contact, keeping his back to the snake haired lady.
Corialote [mirror image] Saturday October 1st, 2005 5:56:28 PM
The Coris nod to Onrad and the end of the spell leaves it settleing upon him. "I don't know...call it caution if you will." All the images and the original smile at him as they speak.
She turns to regard Dahlia and smiles again, this time though she channels the spell through the rod in her hand. "I know how much you like to be unseen...please have fun." She once again drops invisibility on Dahlia and laughs lightly.
She does glance occassionally at Valdor and shakes her head. "Well at least he may get us tickets...or a new lawn ornament...though I would pity the poor pidgeons." All of their mouths curls into a smile and light laughter.

Mordrid (cats grace, Bulls strength, neut. Posion) Monday October 3rd, 2005 2:00:24 AM
Mordrid floats above the group.
He receives Onrad's jest with a restrained chuckle; thinking, "Now that's funny."
Then Cori throws Dahlia a spell with delight, "I like to have a little fun too?" He winks. He has caught the vibe of Hero-ville, Fae Skiemer. The bug is contagious. This is not reality. Maddeningly numbing like a dream.

All 8 Onrads open the door to peek in.
"Just a peek, no worries," he says.

Eberyon Says So [DM Jerry] Tuesday October 4th, 2005 1:59:05 AM
The Medusa pauses, and says to Valdor,
"You are the guests of honor, because Eberyon says so. He chose and arranged all this for you. I don't know why, except that it's important. Nothing seems to ease his spirit except for stories about you guys.
"How you inadvertantly run inside walls, travel hysterically into lands of fear, fight the same stupid red dragon over and over, become obsessed over a girl Queen who always betrays you with the dragon. Yaknow. Your funny antics and stuff.
"You really are great comedians! I've been impressed!"
"Tell ya what, just for fun, here's some tickets for the back. That should be funny."
She hands Valdor a stack of tickets.
"I can't give ya seats on the same row, but you're near each other. That should work. Enjoy."
----------
Meanwhile, Onrad peeks inside to see a huge amphitheatre. He can't see the audience, but gets a glimpse of a knight facing off with a red dragon on the stage. The dragon keeps breathing on the knight causing the knight to howl with pain and the audience to howl with laughter!
Valdor Tuesday October 4th, 2005 10:15:54 AM
Keeping his back to her, Valdor reaches back for the tickets and then takes them to his comrades.
He says,"It appears we are the butt of the joke here. Let's keep our heads in here. There's likely to be some jabs at us."
He's looking intently at Mordrid, in particular, knowing his brother is a little volatile about certain things.
He passes the tickets out to the group and waits for them all to enter, waiting until the last before going in.
Onrad Tuesday October 4th, 2005 10:48:12 AM
"Looks like a Gold Dragon roast to me. They are telling of a battle with Flame and making out like you're a bunch of baffoons.
"Oh, we got tickets, cool. How much Valdor?"
Onrad pulls out his sack of gold.
Looking at the Guard, he says, "Do we give these to you?
Onrad kinda hogs the door hoping to be first in. He somehow thinks things may erupt when the more famous of the group enters like Valdor or Mordrid.
So once his ticket is taken, or if he's ignored, he throws the door wide and steps in looking for threats, but determined not to throw the first blow.
Corialote [mirror image] Tuesday October 4th, 2005 7:23:11 PM
As Valdor comes back and she takes her ticket, she cannot help but burst out lasting. "Mine should be a short roast then...I have not been with you all long enough to do much." She looks to the rest as she wipes tears from her eyes.
She moves along with the others as she looks to her ticket and shakes her head some more. "I do hope I get to roast someone myself." Her eyes flash as she fingers the end of a wand sticking out of a pocket in her pants.

Appetites (DM Stephen) Wednesday October 5th, 2005 12:38:00 AM
The party are each given a ticket and the doorman pulls aside the curtain. Two ushers lead you into the auditorium. As you pass through the door your senses are assaulted with thick smells of roasted and spiced meats, wines and various other alcohols, sweet pastries, cakes, tobacco smoke and a thick mist from burning incense. But you quickly realize that there is an over abundance of foul odors as well: B.O., refuse, vomit, bodily fluids and others beyond description.
Rows and rows of seats ascend against the back wall in a semi-circle curve, all facing a grand stage. A odd mix of creatures make up the audience. Everything from giant and monstrous to goblinoid and reptilian in shape and appearance. Some even appear almost human. One thing can be said, they're all dressed in fine noble garments. Some even wear stylish, well-groomed wigs upon their heads. Is that make-up on their faces!!?? Most have white-powdered faces, with rosey cheeks, eyeliner and lipstick. They all feast from countless platters of food and cups of drink. Numerous attendants await nearby to gather disgarded bones and empty plates only to replace them with more food. Likewise, other attendants hold pitchers of drink, ready to pour, whenever a cup is emptied. What makes your stomach wretch is the sight of young boys carrying crusty, wooden buckets. They come running whenever an audience member raises a feather into the air. It becomes painfully clear what the buckets are meant for when the boy returns to his station with it filled with vomit. Yes, the gluttenous audience members purge themselves only so they can continue to eat and drink. They pause only to laugh and applaud at the actors performance. Though, there is one among the theater goers that is far supremely talented in gluttony. A very rotund and stately fellow, wearing royal robes and a crown, sits in a raised theater box in the center of the audience. He gorges himself with food and drink like a ravenous animal. Caring very little for his cleanliness or good manners. He tries to shout "Bravo" but it comes out as a loud belch.

Onrad Wednesday October 5th, 2005 9:54:06 AM
Onrad looks back at the others hesitantly and then walks in. He looks at his ticket and tries to see where they are supposed to sit.
Faking understanding, he grabs one of the bucket boys and says, "Show us our seats."
Valdor Wednesday October 5th, 2005 10:37:30 AM
Valdor shakes his head in disbelief at the disgusting scene in front of him. He maintains his calm demeanor, but is stewing inside. Such a display lacks nobility, which is obviously what these creatures think they are.
He waits for someone to show him his seat.
Corialote Wednesday October 5th, 2005 6:20:07 PM
Cori's nose wrinkles in distaste and disgust as she enters the theater. "Oh...this is too much." Her arm sweeps out to take in all the creatures, her images fading from sight. "If I have to sit with this then there is going to be a problem." She shudders as she looks to the others and then to the ticket. "Guests of honor my...." Her words are not finished as she shakes her head looking down at her clothes. "I will have to burn these after this." She follows along, dancing around all the crud.

Mordrid (cats grace, bulls strength, neut poison) Thursday October 6th, 2005 1:54:23 AM
Mordrid pushes his way in with the group. Although his ticket reads B7, he instead stands to the right of Valdors seat; ignoring all pleas foul of his standing in the way. No formalities will risk the placement of the group.
This rendition of their history is sure to be revolting. "We must endure whatever nonsense follows for the sake of our mission. However, stay tight. I would hate to think the Platinums were slain by the house ticket attendent, and his ability to seat us at odd angles."
"Myrridan, may be a good time to disappear. We need a trick up our sleeve too."
Mordrid hints that Tericus sit near Valdor. The group's main healer bares a huge responsibility now.
The ranger also notes where Onrad sits, as he is now a main front-line trooper. Mordrid thought at first Onrad was a rogue, but closer inspection has shown him to be nothing less than a warrior of merit. This one was lithe, the other is strong.
Box Seats [DM Jerry] Thursday October 6th, 2005 10:04:58 AM
A bucket boy comes running up to Cori and plumps a freshly washed out vomit bucket in front of her and waits expectantly.
He then turns to the group and says, This way please, you are way down front I think.
He heads down the aisle waving for them to follow.
Meanwhile on the stage, a scene change is completed. Now, the scene is a city alleyway.
A narrarator with a glib, but catlike voice says, "Mordrid the Bounty Hunter runs from his nemesis Korig the Mighty Stalker. Both had perfect capture and kill records until they each received each other's name to hunt. Now they endlessly hunt each other, never finding, always searching."
::A dramatic pause::
"How stupid is that!!"
::great applause and laughter::
Mordrid the Hunter says with a lisp, "I'll get you this time Stalker!"
Korig the Stalker replies stuttering, "N-n-never!"
::more laughter and imitation from the audience::
Both begin to stalk down the alleyway. They slip and both fall hitting their heads. More slipping and pratfalls as they bang into sewer openings, doors, trashcans, outhouses, etc.
They end up passing each other in the alleyway, never seeing the other.
::great laughter::
Both slip one final time knocking each other out. The curtain closes to great applause.
Meanwhile, the bucket boy finds their seats.
"Wowsy, you guys have box seats just to the left of the King of the Show! Step up here into these central box seats."
Immediately porters, waiters, bucket boys, etc. all race for the box seats bringing a luch variety of raw meats, vegetables, sauces, bloods, and Fried Monster Limbs.
The big fat slob sits to your right, 6 little busy arms feeding his face.
Onrad Thursday October 6th, 2005 10:22:47 AM
Onrad looks over to Mordrid to see how he's taking the play.
He guides Valdor into the row first, and motions Tericus to sit between him and Valdor.
As he passes Mordrid he motions to the fat guy in the middle. "So is that him? Kinda hard to tell."
Corialote d20+34=37 d20+39=46 Thursday October 6th, 2005 4:41:08 PM
Cori follows along with the boy and then looks to the box as they near. Her eyes search it for signs of mess, she does not intend to sit in this box if it is a mess already. She does glance to the stage and shakes her head. "I doubt that is how it happened...that is for sure." Depending on the state of the box she may take a seat, though she is not too sure about it yet.
She leans in closer to Valdor and those close. "Do not enter the box yet...I do not trust this and would like to check it out first." She taps the tattoo on her lower arm and scans the box for signs of magic. She also tries to use her knowledge to tell what types of spells they are if present.

Valdor Friday October 7th, 2005 12:29:18 AM
Valdor waits patiently, pretending to watch the show, before he sits down. He eyes the 'leader' of the circus and tries to seek any familiar signs of recognition.
He frowns at the imitation actors portayal of Mordrid and Korrig, but at least they are mocking Korrig as well.
He waits for the word from Cori and Dahlia that all is clear.
Mordrid (cats grace, bulls strength, neut poison) Friday October 7th, 2005 1:21:09 AM
Mordrid keeps his head down and pushes forward, but despite his efforts he can't help but to sneak a peek.
Under the ranger's breath he rattles off, "If they only knew how true; it would be a fine drama."
It's not as though the ranger actually had a place to run or hide in his life. Reporting to the High Lord Mayor, and leading armies to war had always been kind of a high profile job. Where was Korrig lurking the days anyways? The ranger had always thought that if Korrig would just put his heart into it; I would be a rather easy kill.
Mordrid stands in the back of the viewing box. Back to the wall and cloak drawn tighter (thanks to the reminder that he was, and always had been walking a fine line). He wasn't so concerned with his life anymore, as his luck had run out many years ago; the ranger is more concerned with the safety of the others in the box.
As the crowd cheers at the act, and the ring-leader makes his way out to introduce the next act; Mordrid imagines putting an arrow in the man's neck. Clean shot through the main artery; quick and painless. That should really cause a stir.
Then the ranger shutters at the gore of the thought, and runs a hand over his face. "Alemi guide me."

Presenting... [DM Jerry] Friday October 7th, 2005 10:36:25 PM
As the scene ends with Mordrid and Korig, the spotlight turns to the fat slob in the "King's chair."
With the effort of about 10 of the "slop boys" the being begins to stand. The crowd goes crazy and begins chanting, "Long live Eberyon!"
"Long Live Eberyon!"
"Long Live Eberyon!"
Eberyon barfs his thanks showering all around him, including the Plats in the next box. The smell is horrendous, but there seems to be no other ill effects.
"Monsters and Villians! Angels and Heroes! Mortals and Immortals! Our guests for the occasion have finally arrived!"
Great applause as the Very Lights begin searching the audience in anticipation.
"Let's not delay this any longer. They need no introduction as we've seen their mighty exploits on the stage and know them by heart.
"I give you....the Platinum Dragons!"
The lights center upon the box the party is in. Incredible applause, with some boos. Then there is a showering of food thrown in their direction followed by hoots and hollers, cheers and jeers, etc. It's hard to tell whether these strange folks are cheering you or jeering. It seems instead to be more of a recognition of notoriety.
Then from a section near the stage, a group of Mind Flayers stand on their seats and begin shouting, "VALDOR! VALDOR! VALDOR!"
Not satisfied with the noise they are making, they begin wiggling their appendages an soon many more near them are shouting as well.
Across the way in the balcony, some short creatures that look like buck-toothed carnivorous halflings with horns, begin competing with the chant, shouting, "Gareth! GARETH! GARETH!"
A snake bodied woman in the row below the group screams! "Tericus! Oh Unholy Gods it's him!" Then the promptly tosses cookies in tribute just before she passes out.
Trumpets blast and the attention slowly begins to turn back to the stage. Eberyon turns to the party and...
SMILES.
...an evil, conniving, smile that says, I'm not going down without a fight.
The curtain opens. The elaborate scene is that of a throne room. Kneeling before the throne is a very pregnant King Claudia and her husband to be, Joe of the Hand!
The audience jeers throwing food and buckets of vomit upon the stage.
Mordrid (cats grace, bulls strength, neut poison, protection from electricity) Saturday October 8th, 2005 9:05:32 PM
Upon noticing the scene that's within the open curtains, Mordrid shuffles his feet and rings his hands; he tries to catch Valdor's eyes.
This ACT, with a pregnant King Claudia, tells the story of the Gold's hardest time. This tale is very tragic. The crowd is due to turn sour after seeing the way the story unfolds. It will surely pit the group against the monsters in the house.
Mordrid casts protection from electricity.
Valdor Sunday October 9th, 2005 12:04:52 AM
Valdor glances at the king, and smiles politely, inclining his head as if to say,'nice show'. He shows no hint of acknowledgement that this is really Eberyon, nor that he sees the nasty message behind the smile. He looks as though he's thoroughly enjoying the show.
He watches the next scene, completely oblivious to anyone watching him. Ocassionally, he glances around at the creatures with a hint of amusement on his face. He's mocking them with his genuine smile, not letting them bother him in the least. He looks around a couple of times, at the walls, ceiling, and even glances at the floor, in admiration of the chamber.
He also notes what materials the structure is made of, in the back of his mind. He also made a mental note of what creatures were seated directly around Eberyon.
He misses Mordrid's eye contact on purpose, hoping his brother can see through his facade. As long as they've travelled and fought together, Mordrid knows when Valdor is setting someone...or something up.
He then continues to watch the show.

Cori's eyes harden and flash as she looks to herself. She had just been thrown up on and she was starting to feel a little more than angry.
She can feel the magic building inside of her and her hands clench as she has not set down yet. Her eyes rack the crowd and then stop on this giant slob, holding to his face. The smile that touches her face is not one of indulgence but one of pure hate. A rod has appeared in her right hand without very little conscious thought and she is even now starting to raise it. "I am going to fry me some pigs." Her voice is keyed very low and hard to hear, but some may catch it or at least her movements.

Myrridan (elemental wildshape: invisible stalker) Monday October 10th, 2005 10:09:24 PM
As Valdor suggested, Myrridan ducks down between several other Plats and disolves into air. The natural form of an Invisible Stalker. He readies an action to cast Mass Bears Endurance on the group if someone attacks.
(If that takes place, that means everyone gets a +4 enhancement bonus to Con. Thus increasing your hp to +2 per character level and increasing your Fort save by +2. For example, if you're 21st level, you gain 42 hit points.)
The Main Event of the Evening! [DM Jerry] Tuesday October 11th, 2005 2:43:53 PM
Onstage, just as the actress says "I do," she begins going into labor screaming in pain. Many of the audience imitiates her laughing at her suffering.
Eventually she births two demons. Joe Hand says, "No not demons!" and begins trying to kill them. The babies bounce around the stage avoiding the murdering wrath of Joe. Joe trips and falls alot causing the crowd to go berserk, tossing vomit and bloodwine upon the stage.
Joe Hand finally catches the children and squeezes them, popping their heads off squirting blood everywhere. Some of the blood lands accidently on Mordrid's chest. The audience is literally undulating as they jump up and down cheering the scene.
Finally over, the crowd shows their continued appreciation throwing vomit buckets upon the stage and into the air. By this time, everyone is covered with goo.
Eberyon stands. Even greater cheers. He speaks over the shrieking, growling and hooting, "Friends, loved ones, and horrible puking monsters!"
::big applause at that statement::
"I give to you the Honored Guests of the evening. From The Floating City as well as Plateau City on the Wold proper, from the 5th age of the 2nd creation, please welcome The Platinum Dragons!"
Absolute silence. Not a sound. Two double-headed Minotaur Warriors appear suddenly next to Mordrid at the exit to the box.
"This way please."
If you follow they lead you to the stage. If not...
[Sorry for the no post last night. We will post again tonight to make up for it and again tomorrow.]
Valdor Tuesday October 11th, 2005 4:56:06 PM
Valdor, a look of surprise on his face, nods graciously, and stands to follow. He offers no aggression, not even grimacing at the nasty scene going on. He even appears to be enjoying himself...appears. Before leaving the box, he whispers into his earpiece, "We don't want a fight in here, be cool people."

Mordrid (cats grace, bulls strength, neut poison, protection from electricity) Wednesday October 12th, 2005 12:55:42 AM
Mordrid is more than a bit startled at the appearance of the two minotaurs. He steps back and puts his hands forward. "Easy now."
If they put a hand on him, he shrugs them off as to say, 'I'm going; i'm going."
As he enters the passageway he sighs, "amazing the crap I put up with. Paradise had better be sweet."
They love me, they really love me! (DM Stephen) Wednesday October 12th, 2005 12:59:56 AM
The room remains in an uncomfortable and awkward silence as all eyes are upon the Plats. The only sounds are sickening wet splatterings and smatterings of filth and the gutteral whines and growls of stomachs, bladders and gizzards gorged with food and drink. Mordrid makes his way to the stage, but not all seem too eager to follow him. The four heads of the two minotaurs smile wickedly at each other when the great bounty hunter steps out. The minotaurs stand uncomfortably close as you exit (whomever decides to exit). You cant help but brush up against their flabby, stretch-marked, potbellies. Revolting!
The king breaks the silence by adding ... "And I do mean that ALL Platinum Dragons should go to the stage!" The crowd becomes aroused with applause. Their wet, slop-covered hands (claws, talons, paws, tentacles, and various other appendages) sending a globby shower of foulness in all directions.
Valdor Wednesday October 12th, 2005 10:26:26 AM
Valdor remains relaxed, not showing any worry, not fearful, not anxious at all, just normal. He grins suddenly and smiles broadly, as if in enjoyment. Of course, noone would know he just envisioned his sword opening one of those pot-bellies from bottom to top.
He stands with his shoulders squared, almost regal, his sword comfortably sticking up from behind. He knows that even if a fight breaks out, there will be many of these 'nobles' that don't want to die today, so he remains cool.
Onrad Wednesday October 12th, 2005 11:37:37 AM
Onrad waits for the others, picking up the end of the line. He waits assuming that Dahlia and Myrridan are still close by and give them time to move if they want to before moving himself.
He does his best to keep his feet, knees, and elbows clear of anything slick that might affect future tumbling. He leaves his weapon put away, but his fingers are twitching unconsciously of their own accord.
As Tericus passes, he whispers, "Consider it fortunate that they didn't parody the Storms. Perhaps they are underestimating us."
Last, he steps up on to the stage.

Choose You This Day!....or not. [DM Jerry] Thursday October 13th, 2005 11:14:57 AM
Eberyon rises up into the air and motions to address you.
He speaks.
"Although the parodies of your adventurers offer great entertainment in themselves--as this audience can attest--and I wish there was time to parody some of the Storm adventurers too, there is a point to all of this.
::great applause that becomes mixed as he continues::
"When we chose to laugh and celebrate the parodies presented on this stage this very day in....FAE SKIEMIR!!!!!
::huge appplause::
"...we were in a sense judging you. We were not there when these events occurred. We did not experience the circumstances that supposedly justified your actions in these events. Yet, we decided they were foolish and as 'monsters, immortals, and PARTY ANIMALS!...'
::big applause and more spewing::
"we judged you unfairly.
::Audience concern with where he's going with this::
"All over the Wold right now, my ex-wife and creation, Maab the Vengeful, has empowered the Adventurers of the Wold to judge me...if and when they can make me submit.
"In some places, I have submitted. In others, I've been left alone. Still in others, I've won the battle or debated and proved that it is wrong to judge me and escaped.
"I submit to you, the premier of those selected to try and judge me, that you learn from the lesson I've presented to you today and...
::he pauses for dramatic effect::
"REFUSE TO JUDGE!
(Audience echoes him...'Refuse to Judge' 'Let the slob live' 'preach it barf brother')
He continues:
"Be of a higher mind than my ex-wife. Choose not to judge me.
"I make no promises saying what I'll do or not do if you free me and choose not to judge. I will promise nothing to sway you. I refuse to make promises when falsely judged. I will be who I am.
"But know this, I will not strike the first blow this day. Nor will I submit without a fight. So if you pursue this matter, not only are you attacking an innocent being, but you are the aggressor in this matter. That makes you subject to judgment should matters ever be on the other foot, so to speak.
"Finally, remember that I am an inherent and integral part of the Woldian creation that you are pledged to protect and even help as heroes of the Wold. I demand your help. Get Maab to remove this judgment from me! Make her see that she does these things out of hate! She has become that which she hates!"
"So choose carefuly. Choose well."
"Selah."
::The audience sputters with confusion. A few begin to throw things at Eberyon.::
Eberyon lowers itself back to his throne in his box yet remains standing. He stands alert and ready, his fat rippling.
Mordrid (cats grace, bulls strength, neut poison, protection electricity) Thursday October 13th, 2005 1:29:11 PM
Mordrid stands squinting in the spot light of the stage; trying to make out the features of Ebyron who is speaking.
"And what of the fae invasion of our wold. What can you say on that matter?"
Valdor(Stoneskin, Fire Resistance) Thursday October 13th, 2005 2:17:34 PM
Valdor, still smiling, listens carefully to Eberyon's speech and shrugs. Before Eberyon finishes, while he's still talking, he whispers into his earpiece,"Cori, be ready. Myrridan, while I'm responding, you and Tericus feel free to do your stuff."
He replies to the fat slob in his deep bass voice with authority,"Nice speech. You speak of judgments, yet you make your own. You seek to twist the truth so many ways. You try to play on these being's indulgences to get support from them, as you have done all over the Wold.
You seek to manipulate all around you to feel sorry for you? Please, these beings are all intelligent. Mind flayers, minotaurs, medusas are not blind to your game. You have played them up with this show, to make them be on your side.
We came to offer you a chance to cease all of your activity in warping nature. While some felt you needed to be killed, most of us felt you deserved a chance at redemption from your too chaotic ways. By killing hundreds across the Wold by your twisting of nature, you have condemned yourself. You are not innocent by any means. However, that is not the issue. The issue isn't Lady Maab either. The issue is your actions since returning from your slumber.
We give you one chance, before my sword enters my hand, to surrender yourself and halt all activities causing destruction across the Wold. I don't care if you have a different opinion about what the Wold should be like. I don't care if you think what you are doing is right. The Wold is a different place now than it was when you went to sleep and it will remain different. One being does not have the right to change the Wold to their liking, no matter who that being is.
If you refuse, these noble beings will see what we are capable of and their minds will be changed considerably about the lies they have been watching. They will know the truth of what we are capable of and the powers that we have. They will not be held in your thrall any longer with your lies and deceit."
He stands stock still, his fierce blue eyes staring directly at Eberyon. He still smiles easily, but his eyes tell a different story. His arms are tensed, muscles standing out, waiting for the response...and ready to spring.
Mordrid (cats grace, bulls strength, neut poison, protection from electricity) Thursday October 13th, 2005 10:42:09 PM
Mordrid nods in affirmation at Valdor's words. We are together in these thoughts and they will show in our body language.
Mordrid's bow is suddenly in his hand. The bow stays lowered by his side.

Cori's smiles widens as she hears Valdor's words and she listens to what he has to say. She had also listen to this Elbryen speak as well and she was not really impressed.
She taps the rod in her left hand as she waits for the speech to end and then she shakes her head. "You know your mightiness that at times those that seek to keep peace and save lives must make the first move...lives are at stake and you seem to be seated in the center of thier pain." Her smile widens as she speaks. "Oh, I must admit that I was one for you to remain awake or at least to be put to sleep so that you could have a chance to redeem yourself...but I am having second thoughts now." She continues to tap the rod in her left hand as the smile disappears from her face as fast as it appeared. "Maybe if you do surrender and stop your rampage then I will have a change of heart...but right now you are like a rabid wolf harming anything in your path...you need to be put down...HARD." Her eyes flash with more than a little hatred as she has to state something that she had been against doing from the beginning..then again she had not wanted to wake him in the first place.
Twirling the rod she nods. "If your ex is as bad as you say than she may have to follow you...not that it will be us that does it as she has not harmed anyone that I know of." She looks to the rest and then shuts her mouth not really needing to say anymore, though some may notice that she has started a cadence of words under her breathe.

Eberyon continues to sit upon his throne. He begins to speak ... only to pause and think. His eyes scan the room, looking at the walls and ceiling. His gaze returns to the Plats. He looks at each of you. Its easy to tell that Eberyon wasnt expecting this outcome. He looks caught off guard. The turkey leg that was clutched tightly in his fat little hand falls to the floor. He then stares at his empty hand, at the globs of grease and sause dripping off it. He then wipes his hand clean on his robe. His eyes go wide as he stares blankly out across the room at nothing in particular. There is a hush across the crowd. Even a few gasps! What is happening?

Onrad grits his teeth and stands ready to leap across the audience at this monster.
"If we vote for kill, the Wold may lose much of it's long term magic of nature. There might be no more druids or living forests. How ironic that it may actually be that we need this guy.
"But perhaps asleep. Nature has been too alive since he's been alive. Either way we have a job to do. He must submit before we can judge him with our vote. And if he won't do that voluntarily...Then we have no choice."
Valdor Friday October 14th, 2005 11:08:26 AM
While Eberyon s still thinking, Valdor says a little softer,"You are one of the most important beings of Woldian history, Eberyon. We do not desire your death. Only a return to your slumber, so that nature can continue. You must trust that there will always, as there has always been, those who would defend nature and make sure it thrives. It is important to the Wold, to us, that nature thrives, but it musn't destroy others who have a right to live.
We would allow you this sleep with no fight and no harm would come to you. The choice is yours, mighty one."

Decision [DM Jerry] Monday October 17th, 2005 10:52:46 AM
As Eberyon listens closely to what each has to say, both with their words and their body language, he pauses.
Then he sits, frowning in concentration.
With a wave of his hand, the audience falls silent and begins to exit the Amphitheatre. During the 10 minutes it takes for all to exit, including the incapacitated, he sits and thinks, looking intelligently at each of the Plats in turn.
He spends lots of time looking at Tericus as if searching his heart. He locks eyes with Valdor more than once.
He even glances towards the basic locations of where Dahlia and Myrradin are hidden.
Then he says, "Second wave, appear."
A dozen Inverted Men drop from the ceiling seemingly taking no damage. They walk reversed on their hands and feet with deformed bodies that make their "crabwalk" look very quick and dangerous.
Eberyon then says, "You are dismissed. Carry on with your life."
They hiss, and their body language speaks to their displeasure, but they obey and leave following the crowd out the door.
He then casts a spell summoning a series of ooozes and living vomits. A moment later he dismisses them.
He then waves his hands once more and huge summoning circles appear on the ground. With a clap of his hands, two of the bucket boys come forward with two of the two-headed minotaurs and carefully wipe "breaks" into the circles destroying them.
They leave.
Eberyon stands, "I submit. Should you attack me, know that I will defend myself."
He stares at Cori when saying this.
He then says, "Cast your votes. I don't want to see what you will do with your first creator's life. Keep it to yourselves please. He then pivots the chair and turns it around to face the rear of the auditorium."
Valdor Monday October 17th, 2005 11:56:03 AM
"You have shown honorable, we shall also. My vote is cast."
Valdor pulls out the sleep acorn.
Corialote Monday October 17th, 2005 5:06:59 PM
Cori lets the spell slip from her mind and the rod return to her pocket. She cuts a slight bow to the king before her.
Slipping the three acorns a pocket she silently moves them in her hand, rolling them around. She has to say that this is turning out different than she first had thought it would. This king had shown restraint and honor that she wonders if he would apply to other things as well.
She hopes that what she has seen in these last ten minutes is enought as she holds out her hand, only a single acorn remains of the three. As he fingers open the acorn that lies on her palm bears the rune for LIVE or REFORM. "Gods pray that I have chosen right by what I have just seen." She closes her eyes as she waits for the finale...maybe for the hammer to fall for her choice.
Dahlia Monday October 17th, 2005 9:50:21 PM
Glad there would be no combat dahlia sighs as the tension previously unreckognized releases from her shoulders. Her desion already made Dahlia pops momentarily into view as she simply tosses the acorn she had previously chosen to the ground at Ebyron's feet. Softly she speaks, as if to herself, knowing that Ebyron's ears will in all likelihood pick it up. "Sleep well, mighty King, and know that nature is being taken care of."
Mordrid (cats grace, bulls strength, neut poison, prot elct) Monday October 17th, 2005 11:28:01 PM
Mordrid eases a bit after seeing the king show his more civilized side.
Mordrid reaches in his belt pouch and pulls forth the acorns. He opens his hand in front of his face and examines each one. He selects the acorn representing sleep. Raising it above his head he proclaims "sleep."
"I pray that our children will not have to do this again. I pray that I have made the right decision king. I ask that you return the favor by showing restraint when dealing with the next generation. We will do our best to raise them so that may judge you fairly."
Onrad Tuesday October 18th, 2005 8:43:40 AM
Onrad remembers the destruction of the Floating City, the flooding in Plateau City. The suffering of 1000s of people and pulls out his three acorns.
As these images wash over his mind, he pulls out the "Die" acorn. He fingers it remembering it's shape and feel. He smells it. And he hopes he's doing the right thing.
He then fingers the next acorn--"sleep." I'd have been angry and confused and even full of revenge if my ex-wife,whom I'd even created myself and given freedom of thought had put me to sleep for thousands of years. No one deserves to have to sleep for eternity.
He holds the third acorn. It does say reform. That means because it's a judgment, Eberyon would have to reform. Isn't that what we want? I wish the Jericho would act and live among us rather than just showing up in times of crisis and stuff. Now, the first creator can be made to act right and live among us? I guess he'd live among us.
Onrad shrugs and casts the Reform vote.
::May it be on my head if I'm wrong::, he thinks.
Myrridan Wednesday October 19th, 2005 12:27:37 AM
The druid also materializes into his nature human form. "At least when you sleep, you're still able to dream. You can still be who you really are without having to be tamed. And maybe someday, someday, the Wold will be ready for someone like you. Its especially hard for me to do this. I wish I could learn from you. But it be best that you allow us our natural progression. I choose sleep." The acorn drops from his hand.
One last toast (DM Stephen) Wednesday October 19th, 2005 12:58:08 AM
Eberyon looks on and nods respectfully after each of your judgements. He replies sincerely to each of you, "I cant say it doesn't upset me somewhat of the idea of returning to a endless slumber. But there are worse things than sleep. However nothing replaces the fruits that the Wold provides. As you can see. I am the side of Eberyon that holds his appetites in all their splended forms. Its these desires that makes life worth living. And as you can see Ive made a glutton of myself. Allow me to make myself a glutton one last time ... will you have a drink with me?" Turning to his wait staff, he claps his hands. "Please bring drinks for everyone, and I do mean the best wine the Wold has to offer."
Swiftly a small army of servants converge on the scene. Each of you receive a goblet full of a very pungent and sweet-smelling wine. Its aroma sends tingles down your spine. It is a perfect color and shimmers in the dim light of the room. In your hands, the presence of this pure, perfect wine drives away the foul stench that assaulted you before. This is a drink worthy of a god. Alemi himself would have this served at his table. To merely look at it is exciting and intoxicating to your senses! A servant girl hands Eberyon his goblet and she retreats back from where she came bowing to her king every few feet. Eberyon holds his goblet up and waits for everyone to do so before he starts is toast.
Valdor Wednesday October 19th, 2005 11:21:40 PM
Valdor bows deeply, takes a goblet in his hand and replies,"I respect you much more now that we have agreed upon this path. I cannot speak for others, but this is how I will choose to remember you. As a regal being, and not the disgusting mess that we saw upon our arrival. Your tale will be told throughout the Wold, and if I have any influence, it will be told correctly. However, I do not wish to insult, but if you know anything about me, I do not drink beverages until a mission is complete. So, while I hold the goblet and raise it in toast to you, I cannot drink until our mission is finished."
He is smiling, enjoying the smell of the wine...and appreciating the quality. It takes all of his substantial willpower not to drink, but this is way too important to the Wold, and THAT has always been his top priority, protecting those who can't protect themselves.
Onrad Thursday October 20th, 2005 12:04:32 PM
Onrad takes his glass and smells it. Then he takes a sip for politeness, but swallows nothing.
He sets it down. Smiles, watches all around.
"So can we leave now? Or do we have to stay until all the votes are in from around the Wold?"
Corialote Thursday October 20th, 2005 6:37:39 PM
Cori raises the glass in a toast to the Fae King. She brings the glass to her lips and takes the smallest of sips. She has never been one to indulge in heavy spirits when her wits must be clear.
Dahlia Thursday October 20th, 2005 9:16:51 PM
Palming a small vial in her other hand, Dahlia accepts the goblet and by appearances seems to be very eager to try the offered libation. The nose of the wine is almost so heady as to make her forget for a moment just whom is offerring this drink. As she herself is a vintner she makes a good show of sampling the wine and as she does also empties the contents of the vial into her mouth as well.
With a nod to Ebyron, Dahlia remarks.
"Lord Ebyron, I can only hope that the melon sized grapes that have grown all over my vines during this time will yield a batch of wine one tenth as heady."

Valdor rises and bows again to Eberyon and says,"I am proud to have met you, even under these circumstances. But now, I feel, it is time to conclude our business and get back home. Our votes are cast, as are many others across the Wold. If it be sleep, I wish you dreams of green fields, blue skies, and much wine. If it is reform, we will gladly be of any aid or assistance you might require of us, as long as it is of good purpose, of course. I won't mention the third option, as I don't believe there are many who wish that, even though many have lost much these last days.
May your journey be peaceful and pleasant. Everyone deserves at least that much."
He walks over to Eberyon and holds out his hand in friendship.
