Decision [DM Jerry] Monday October 17th, 2005 10:52:46 AM
As Eberyon listens closely to what each has to say, both with their words and their body language, he pauses.
Then he sits, frowning in concentration.
With a wave of his hand, the audience falls silent and begins to exit the Amphitheatre. During the 10 minutes it takes for all to exit, including the incapacitated, he sits and thinks, looking intelligently at each of the Plats in turn.
He spends lots of time looking at Tericus as if searching his heart. He locks eyes with Valdor more than once.
He even glances towards the basic locations of where Dahlia and Myrradin are hidden.
Then he says, "Second wave, appear."
A dozen Inverted Men drop from the ceiling seemingly taking no damage. They walk reversed on their hands and feet with deformed bodies that make their "crabwalk" look very quick and dangerous.
Eberyon then says, "You are dismissed. Carry on with your life."
They hiss, and their body language speaks to their displeasure, but they obey and leave following the crowd out the door.
He then casts a spell summoning a series of ooozes and living vomits. A moment later he dismisses them.
He then waves his hands once more and huge summoning circles appear on the ground. With a clap of his hands, two of the bucket boys come forward with two of the two-headed minotaurs and carefully wipe "breaks" into the circles destroying them.
They leave.
Eberyon stands, "I submit. Should you attack me, know that I will defend myself."
He stares at Cori when saying this.
He then says, "Cast your votes. I don't want to see what you will do with your first creator's life. Keep it to yourselves please. He then pivots the chair and turns it around to face the rear of the auditorium."
Valdor Monday October 17th, 2005 11:56:03 AM
"You have shown honorable, we shall also. My vote is cast."
Valdor pulls out the sleep acorn.

Cori lets the spell slip from her mind and the rod return to her pocket. She cuts a slight bow to the king before her.
Slipping the three acorns a pocket she silently moves them in her hand, rolling them around. She has to say that this is turning out different than she first had thought it would. This king had shown restraint and honor that she wonders if he would apply to other things as well.
She hopes that what she has seen in these last ten minutes is enought as she holds out her hand, only a single acorn remains of the three. As he fingers open the acorn that lies on her palm bears the rune for LIVE or REFORM. "Gods pray that I have chosen right by what I have just seen." She closes her eyes as she waits for the finale...maybe for the hammer to fall for her choice.
Dahlia Monday October 17th, 2005 9:50:21 PM
Glad there would be no combat dahlia sighs as the tension previously unreckognized releases from her shoulders. Her desion already made Dahlia pops momentarily into view as she simply tosses the acorn she had previously chosen to the ground at Ebyron's feet. Softly she speaks, as if to herself, knowing that Ebyron's ears will in all likelihood pick it up. "Sleep well, mighty King, and know that nature is being taken care of."
Mordrid (cats grace, bulls strength, neut poison, prot elct) Monday October 17th, 2005 11:28:01 PM
Mordrid eases a bit after seeing the king show his more civilized side.
Mordrid reaches in his belt pouch and pulls forth the acorns. He opens his hand in front of his face and examines each one. He selects the acorn representing sleep. Raising it above his head he proclaims "sleep."
"I pray that our children will not have to do this again. I pray that I have made the right decision king. I ask that you return the favor by showing restraint when dealing with the next generation. We will do our best to raise them so that may judge you fairly."
Onrad Tuesday October 18th, 2005 8:43:40 AM
Onrad remembers the destruction of the Floating City, the flooding in Plateau City. The suffering of 1000s of people and pulls out his three acorns.
As these images wash over his mind, he pulls out the "Die" acorn. He fingers it remembering it's shape and feel. He smells it. And he hopes he's doing the right thing.
He then fingers the next acorn--"sleep." I'd have been angry and confused and even full of revenge if my ex-wife,whom I'd even created myself and given freedom of thought had put me to sleep for thousands of years. No one deserves to have to sleep for eternity.
He holds the third acorn. It does say reform. That means because it's a judgment, Eberyon would have to reform. Isn't that what we want? I wish the Jericho would act and live among us rather than just showing up in times of crisis and stuff. Now, the first creator can be made to act right and live among us? I guess he'd live among us.
Onrad shrugs and casts the Reform vote.
::May it be on my head if I'm wrong::, he thinks.
Myrridan Wednesday October 19th, 2005 12:27:37 AM
The druid also materializes into his nature human form. "At least when you sleep, you're still able to dream. You can still be who you really are without having to be tamed. And maybe someday, someday, the Wold will be ready for someone like you. Its especially hard for me to do this. I wish I could learn from you. But it be best that you allow us our natural progression. I choose sleep." The acorn drops from his hand.
One last toast (DM Stephen) Wednesday October 19th, 2005 12:58:08 AM
Eberyon looks on and nods respectfully after each of your judgements. He replies sincerely to each of you, "I cant say it doesn't upset me somewhat of the idea of returning to a endless slumber. But there are worse things than sleep. However nothing replaces the fruits that the Wold provides. As you can see. I am the side of Eberyon that holds his appetites in all their splended forms. Its these desires that makes life worth living. And as you can see Ive made a glutton of myself. Allow me to make myself a glutton one last time ... will you have a drink with me?" Turning to his wait staff, he claps his hands. "Please bring drinks for everyone, and I do mean the best wine the Wold has to offer."
Swiftly a small army of servants converge on the scene. Each of you receive a goblet full of a very pungent and sweet-smelling wine. Its aroma sends tingles down your spine. It is a perfect color and shimmers in the dim light of the room. In your hands, the presence of this pure, perfect wine drives away the foul stench that assaulted you before. This is a drink worthy of a god. Alemi himself would have this served at his table. To merely look at it is exciting and intoxicating to your senses! A servant girl hands Eberyon his goblet and she retreats back from where she came bowing to her king every few feet. Eberyon holds his goblet up and waits for everyone to do so before he starts is toast.
Valdor Wednesday October 19th, 2005 11:21:40 PM
Valdor bows deeply, takes a goblet in his hand and replies,"I respect you much more now that we have agreed upon this path. I cannot speak for others, but this is how I will choose to remember you. As a regal being, and not the disgusting mess that we saw upon our arrival. Your tale will be told throughout the Wold, and if I have any influence, it will be told correctly. However, I do not wish to insult, but if you know anything about me, I do not drink beverages until a mission is complete. So, while I hold the goblet and raise it in toast to you, I cannot drink until our mission is finished."
He is smiling, enjoying the smell of the wine...and appreciating the quality. It takes all of his substantial willpower not to drink, but this is way too important to the Wold, and THAT has always been his top priority, protecting those who can't protect themselves.
Onrad Thursday October 20th, 2005 12:04:32 PM
Onrad takes his glass and smells it. Then he takes a sip for politeness, but swallows nothing.
He sets it down. Smiles, watches all around.
"So can we leave now? Or do we have to stay until all the votes are in from around the Wold?"
Corialote Thursday October 20th, 2005 6:37:39 PM
Cori raises the glass in a toast to the Fae King. She brings the glass to her lips and takes the smallest of sips. She has never been one to indulge in heavy spirits when her wits must be clear.
Dahlia Thursday October 20th, 2005 9:16:51 PM
Palming a small vial in her other hand, Dahlia accepts the goblet and by appearances seems to be very eager to try the offered libation. The nose of the wine is almost so heady as to make her forget for a moment just whom is offerring this drink. As she herself is a vintner she makes a good show of sampling the wine and as she does also empties the contents of the vial into her mouth as well.
With a nod to Ebyron, Dahlia remarks.
"Lord Ebyron, I can only hope that the melon sized grapes that have grown all over my vines during this time will yield a batch of wine one tenth as heady."
Valdor Friday October 21st, 2005 12:45:18 AM
Valdor rises and bows again to Eberyon and says,"I am proud to have met you, even under these circumstances. But now, I feel, it is time to conclude our business and get back home. Our votes are cast, as are many others across the Wold. If it be sleep, I wish you dreams of green fields, blue skies, and much wine. If it is reform, we will gladly be of any aid or assistance you might require of us, as long as it is of good purpose, of course. I won't mention the third option, as I don't believe there are many who wish that, even though many have lost much these last days.
May your journey be peaceful and pleasant. Everyone deserves at least that much."
He walks over to Eberyon and holds out his hand in friendship.
