Sick meaty thuds attest to the power Savin brings to the quarterstaff. The Wererat, (R1) does not join it's fellow rogue in the typical flanking attack. Rather, it hurries on across the rooftop the small keg clutched in it's clawed hands. The battered Werecat too (C4), tumbles out of range, and follows without a retaliatory strike against Savin.
Still invisible, Firn'gaer remains perched on the edge of the roof and calls added protection.
Sly and Luke move in front of Lady Celine. While protecting the noble lady, they search the darkness with their sensitive eyes. They see nothing suspicious. (I can't remember what Luke was at HP-wise, Ceil. Let's just call it full hp. 65/65. BTW, I show Sly at 85/85 hitpoints on the Character Sheet that I have.)
Peerimus calls for Niobe, Sly and Lady Silverhand (who must be around here somewhere) to climb the vine covered walls and help Savin up above. Then he and Yorrick, taking up the entire width of the alley, continue forward with Lord Lorbius ten feet ahead.
Dalek pushes through the crowd at the entrance to the alley, catching up quickly with Peerimus and Yorrick, While Jaeden astride, holds his Ancestral Greatsword on high, preparing a killing blow. (Jason, you have the Critical damage just fine. Greatsword is x2 so your roll damage Twice.)
With a grumble, Niobe takes to the wall and gets a good taste of what Savin makes look so easy. She makes it half way up and then looks down. The ground looks much further than it actually is. (DC to climb the Vines that run up the walls is 15. Climbing is 1/4 speed. Accelerating climbing at 1/2 speed is DC20. Wall is 30 feet tall. Miss the DC by less than 4 and don't move. Miss by more than 4 and Fall.)
Lady Silverhand does not move. She saw something, and cautiously, she remains where she is.
Lady Celine remains back as well. Her eyes close momentarily as she connects with the forces of magic that run through her body.
Lord Lorbius continues in the lead. Luck is with him as from the corner of his eye, he turns his head a just the right moment and detects movement in the window up above. "Beware!" he calls out.
At the very same time, Jaeden hears the creek of boards from up above as well. Both are a little too late.
A dark form appears in the window. It is a Werecat, and something comes flying out. As it falls into the light of Jaeden's glow stone, you can see that it is a small 10 gallon wooden cask. There is something affixed to one end. It is a flask.
Both cask and flask shatter directly in between Peerimus and Yorrick and burning oil quickly fills the small alley engulfing the entire forward party in a 15 foot radius. (Dalek, Peerimus, Yorrick, Lorbius, take 2d6 hp fire damage. Take 2d6 hp fire damage for each round you remain within the flames. For one round after you leave the flames, take 1d6 fire damage.)
The black Werecat stands watching from the window above. The frame of the window is large, but it gives him cover. The window is 20 feet up.
[OoC: If you have movement, please post your position on the map.]

Savin flashes back to the time in the monastary and the teachings of his master. He remembers clearly, the were sitting by a pond discussing tactics and his master said, "Never let a wounded werecat get away. You will rue the day that happens."
Savin charges forward and smashes down on the werecat with his staff, using his powerattack feat +5 this time. He strikes the hapless cat using both hands adding even more power with the staff. Savin moved to AG25
Savin calls down, "There are several up here. They might have more traps."
OOC Al missed it last time for damage. When you powerattack, you double the damage of the power attack if you are using a two-handed weapon. I should have done 6 more last round. Total damage 33 (23 after the damage reduction)

Other tactics, I charged taking the +2 to hit and -2 on ac. I didn't take any modifiers for flanking but I assume I am attacking his back since he is running away

The climb isn't fun but at least the smell is marginally more tolerable at this height. Niobe looks down with a grimace as the flames burn her companions.
As unhappy as she currently is, these are still her friends.
For a second she considers moving to aid those engulfed in flame but instead she continues her climb [climb 17], deciding it'd be best to stick to Peerimus' plan.

This explosion and resulting flames sends Dalek into a panic. The horse rears up high, saving himself from the worst of the damage [-2 hp]. It's insticts tell it to back away from the flame and Jaeden turns him and moves 20' back towards the mouth of the alley.
The warrior, however, is done with waiting in the rear. He turns Dalek back towards the fire and urges him to action. The horse plunges towards the flames but launches itself into the air, easily clearing both the 35' diameter of the fire and Yorrick [jumping as far as he can] and continuing it's movement [total movement is hustle to AE/AF,38/39].

OoC: Remember, those just out of the burning oil, you take 1d6 even after you leave the area.
Sly, itching to get into the midst of the action, follows Peerimus' direction. He strides ten feet across the alley and begins climbing up the wall. Like Niobe, he too finds that the things Savin does, are not necessarily as easy as they look. The going is slow, and Sly makes it only 12 feet up the wall. Luke being a dog, and unable to climb up the vines, remains below, looking up.
The words of his teacher running through is head, Savin charges after the Werecat. With a powerful downward stroke of the quarterstaff, the monk crushes the Werecat's skull. It drops to the rooftop without a sound. (The Werecat was not flanked. Flanking requires a loss of Dex bonus to AC. There is still full Dexterity on a Withdraw. Besides, he is not running away. He's protecting the one with the keg. Oh, and extra 6hp from last round has been added in.)
Lady Silverhand also takes Peerimus' advice and begins climbing the wall next to Sly. Just like Sly, she finds climbing slow. She makes it 12 feet up the 30-foot wall.
Half way up a wall while fire explodes below is a vulnerable feeling. Niobe grits her teeth and concentrates on climbing. She makes it up to the top of the roof and over the edge, just in time to see Savin strike down a dark furred creature. Another, holding a small wooden cask, is making it's way in her direction. Uh-oh. What did she just climb up into?
Down below, Jaeden and Dalek pull back out of the flames with only minor scorching. Under his masters commands, Dalek wheels and makes a running leap over the pool of flaming oil, over Peerimus, and over Yorrick. Rider and mount land with a clatter on the other side, and Dalek dances, wary down the side alley.
Firn'gaer observes the tactics of the two Werebeasts facing Savin. He puts two and two together, and comes to an understanding as to what they're after. A bead of light leaves his hands, and as it does so, Firn'gaer becomes visible. Niobe, shields her eyes as a blossom of flame engulfs Savin and the two Werecreatures. Sly and Lady Silverhand see orange flame shoot out from the roof above. (Savin, Reflex vs DC20 or take half damage. Regardless, however, take 2d6 from the burning oil.) When the ball of flame subsides, the Wererat is barely standing, and in the middle of a flaming pool of oil. Flaming oil licks at Savin's clothing. And, of the fallen Werecat, no more than a charred mound remains.
"Shilus, sullus, oroboros ... ", Lady Celine weaves her hands calling powers of sorcery to her command.
Lorbius leaps forward, out of the burning oil. Rounding the corner, he stands with double weapons ready, his back to the wall. His hair and clothing smoke and smolder.
=================================================== The Werecat in the window (C2) spies Firn'gaer on the roof across the way. He draws a light crossbow and fires. (Hit AC28, Damage 8hp)
On the roof the Wererat (R1) exits the pool of fire, a black and white mess of blood and pain. Despite the pain and its flaming clothing, the Rat weaves and dodges in total defense. (Note to Savin and Niobe: R1 is now in Total Defense AC vs Niobe is 27. AC vs Savin is 28.)
Down in the ally, Peerimus, Jaeden and Lord Lorbius form a line leading down into the cross alley. Suddenly, a door on the west side of the main alley bursts open and five Werebeasts pour out. (This is the door at Y44)
The first one out hustles up the alley and tumbles, diving past Peerimus' feet. It rolls to a standing position on the opposite side, a rapier in its hand. Its yellow eyes are wide, and it spits an excited hiss.
The rest line up in the street and pour crossbow bolts into Peerimus and Yorrick.
R9 Hit Peerimus AC27, Damage 8 + 12Sneak = 20hp R8 Hit Yorrick AC32 (Crit Threat AC29), Damage 6hp R7 Hit Yorrick AC17, No Damage C7 Hit Yorrick AC24, Damage 3hp (-4 firing from behind others)
With the Werecat behind Peerimus to provide a distraction, one of the other Wererogues finds a vital spot in the druid's back (Total Damage 20hp). Bolts whiz around Yorrick like annoying gnats. Though two strike home in the bear's flesh, they do little more than provide an annoyance. (Total Damage 9hp)
Down the cross alley, a brown Wererat (R2) appears in the gateway. There is the twang of a crossbow wire, but no bolt comes. (R2 Hit Jaeden AC13, Nat 1) (Note to Jaeden: R2 has Cover in the Gateway. AC vs Jaeden is 26. AC vs Dalek is 25.)
Jaeden spots a dark figure in the second story window across from the Gate. It appears to be signaling someone further within the courtyard across the way.

A small patch of Daleks smoldering hair flares up into full flame and burns the horse worse then the initial attack [-4 hps]. Warned of the flame by their telepathic link, Jaeden uses a corner of his crimson cloak to smother the fire as he urges Dalek forward.
Trusting his rider to take care of the flame, Dalek complies and moves forward to meet the newly emerging werebeasts [AO/AP,38/39].
The flame taken care of, Jaeden holds his sword aloft. As the wererat comes into range he swings the massive blade back and dowards, allowing it to finish it's arc in a mighty uppercut that cuts into the beasts shoulder.

She makes it to very near the top of the wall. Very near, but not near enough. (A 1/4 speed double move gives you 15 feet. Selena is now 27 feet up the 30-foot wall. Three feet left to go. Can you make that last climb check?)
Niobe draws her bow. The twang of her bow cuts through the crackle of fire, and he shaft thuds into the badly wounded Wererat. Unfortunately, the Wererat seems unhurt by the arrow. Not damaged at all.
Jaeden and Dalek clatter down the cross-alley toward the two Werecreatures standing in the gate. Jaeden hacks down at the Wererat with the crossbow, cutting into it's arm. The damage is not nearly as great as it should be, though. Dalek keeps a wary eye out for more oil bombs from the window behind them. But he sees nothing but darkness within the second story room. From this new vantage, Jaeden sees an open courtyard beyond the gate. Some 50 feet on the other side of the courtyard are large iron-bound double doors. Windows on both sides of the door are boarded up. One thing the strategy minded warrior notes, is that windows overlook the courtyard to the East and West, two sets of three on the second floor of each side of the courtyard. He can see nothing within the windows.
Sly continues to climb as well. He makes it to very near the top of the wall. (A 1/4 speed double move gives you 15 feet. Sly is now 27 feet up the 30-foot wall. Three feet left to go. Can you make that last climb check?) Luke watches from below. And, it occurs to him, that if Sly fell, he could possibly fall down onto Luke.
Whereas Niobe was not able to injure the Wererat, Savin's powerful strike drops the creature like a felled ox. It lies on the roof, the flames on its clothing going out.
Firn'gaer flies across the alley, and out of sight of the Werecat in the window. He raises his staff, and a red blossom of fire explodes above the four Werebeasts facing Peerimus and Yorrick. When the ball of fire wanes, though, only one Wererat (R8) bears the flames of damage. The others, seem to have evaded the blast entirely.
Yorrick engages the Werecat that dares to come near his friend. Red blossoms of blood rise upon the Werebeast as Yorrick scores it with claw and bite. But the wounds do not seem as severe as they should be. Peerimus, in the meantime, casts a spell. The Werecat, stabs at Peerimus as the druid opens up the opportunity. (AoO Hit AC19) But the blow is turned away by the wizard's thick skin. The front row of Werebeasts scream in pain as a Wall of Fire springs up around them. (I'm assuming that you mean Z43-AC43. Z44-AC44 would only catch the one Werecat.) The Werecat in the rear screams too, but takes no damage. (Sorry, Peerimus, that last damage from the crossbow bolt should have come off of your Stoneskin.)
On the heels of the fireball and the wall of flame, Lord Lorbius cuts the corner in front of Yorrick and crosses the alley to attack the Werecreature flanking Peerimus with the crossbow. (Hit R9 AC41, Damage 0hp w/DR) The noble strikes with his flail, but the barbed lashes do no damage.
Lady Celine finishes her incantation, and a slim dog with blazing eyes, a Yeth Hound suddenly appears in mid air. It flies toward the second story window and begins attacking the Werecat with the crossbow. (Hit C2 AC7 /Nat 1) Newly appeared on this plane, it gauges the distance badly and misses it's target. Celine begins another spell, then rises up straight up into the air, up to the level of the rooftops.
The Werecat in the window drops its crossbow and draws a rapier. The blade flashes out at the Yeth Hound. (Hit AC16) The blade rebounds from the Extra-Planar Hound's tough hide.
The rest of the Werebeasts flee. The creatures in and behind the Wall of Fire retreat down the alley. The lone Werecat facing Yorrick tumbles around the brown bear and heads down the cross-alley in the direction of the Gate.
The Cat and Rat give up the Gate to Jaeden. They rush across the courtyard. The Rat begins pounding on the door, while the Cat looses another bolt at Dalek. (Hit AC24, Damage 8hp) The bolt strikes home, hitting the Magic Mount in the chest.

Savin satisfied that no more oil will be dumped on his friends, gives Niobe a wave, and a boyish grin and moves south at full speed. As he is moving he realizes he didn't see a cask, but no matter, that wererat will bother no one again. When he gets to the southern wall he leaps out into the air and tries to jumb over the alley way once again.
Savin leaps out into the alley and realizes that he made a mistake. There in no building at the same level to leap too! He finds himself falling and immediately rolls into a tumble. He bounces off the top of the wall and slides down the wall using his slow fall feat. He then darts forward with the rest of his movement closing the distance to his prey.

OOC Al, rolled 20 for the jump check which should place me ontop of the wall. I rolled a dexterity check of 20 to take the step but understand if you want something else to happen.
[ I can see your confusion. I did not place the height of the wall in the OoC. But I did mention in a previous post, that the gate wall in front of the courtyard was only 10 feet high. If you execute this move, you will take damage from a 20 foot fall. There is no wall around to use Slow Fall from the top of the roof to the top of the Gate Wall. If you'd like to change your move, you may do so. But you must keep the Jump check that you rolled.

With supernatural speed, he zips across the roof, and leaps into space. The ground rushes toward him as he hurtles down into the courtyard. At the last minute, he touches the lower courtyard wall to brake his speed. It works. A bit. Savin lands hard, and tucks into a roll. When he comes to his feet, across the courtyard the Cat and the Rat stare wide eyed. Six windows, three on either side, East and West, line the second floors. The windows are dark, and Savin sees nothing within. The look small as well for his new enlarged frame. Most definitely a squeeze. (After a climb, Escape Artist vs DC25 to get in.)
Sly finally pulls himself up onto the roof to find Niobe standing at the corner and a circle of blazing oil in the center of the roof. There are no enemies in sight. But Sly sees Savin's back, as big now as Yorrick, as he leaps off the roof and disappears from sight. Crazy monk!Luke backs away, in case it should suddenly begin raining armored half-elves. When he looks straight up, can see Lady Celine flying 30 feet up into the air. It looks like he is being left behind. It also looks like he can see up Lady Celine's skirt, but what does a dog care?
Even as Savin flies through the air above and lands beyond the wall, Jaeden turns Dalek away from the Gate, and rides on the fleeing Werecat. The great blade cleaves flesh and the Werecat lets loose a yowl.
Bow in hand, Niobe skirts the narrow strip between the oil fire and the edge of the roof. Below, another fire still rages. Over the edge, the dark haired rogue can see the Yeth Hound battling something inside a window. Straight ahead, at the corner, stands Firn'gaer. How will it ever be possible to get use to him as a gnome?
Lady Silverhand pulls herself up over the edge of the roof after a strenuous climb. Invisible, she follows Niobe, around the edge of the fire.
Yorrick lopes after the Werecat. Sandwiched between Yorrick and Dalek, the creature has no chance. Yorrick rips into it with a sweep of a paw, then pulls it in beneath him. When Peerimus arrives, the Cat's eyes are glazed, and it is close to unconsciousness. With a stroke, the druid closes those yellow eyes.
From up above, Firn'gaer sends a dark beam of strength sapping energy into the Werecat in the alley. But, by now, it is already unconscious.
Faced with foes who flee beyond the wall of flames, Lorbius reverses course and follows Peerimus and Yorrick down the cross-alley. He shakes his head as he passes Yorrick and sees the unconscious Werecat in Yorrick's arms.
Flying up above, Lady Celine nods as the Yeth Hound continues to occupy the Werecat in the window. She darts through the air, across the rooftop to arrive just in time to see Savin land in the courtyard.
The Yeth Hound snarls and bites at the Werecat (C2). (Hit AC21, Damage 0hp w/DR, Trip 18 /Success) The bite does no damage, but the Yeth Hound yanks the Werecat off its feet and throws it to the floor.
From the floor, the Werecat facing the Yeth Hound, (C2) tumbles out of reach and stands. From within the building, you can hear its cries for help.
Suddenly, in the windows overlooking the Courtyard, the forms of dark Werecreatures appear. A heartbeat later, the twang of wire, and the hiss of crossbow bolts splits the air.

The two nearby rogues drop their crossbows. They draw rapiers as they tumble into a flanking position around the massive monk. From opposite sides, they stab. (C1 Hit AC13, R2 Hit AC20) Fortunately, neither blade has the luck of the crossbow quarrels.
And then ... the iron bound doors fly open. Werecreatures surge out from within. They spread out to circle Savin. Two take up positions at either side of the Gate. Three tumble in for the attack.

Peerimus moves 40 to AO/37 and looks into the courtyard. The magical flickering flame wreathed about his hand casts a warm glow upon the disturbing scene. Most of the courtyard was, of course, still dark. he could barely make out Savin and a couple Wererats. Jaeden has already said they are some in some windows ringing the place, but no targets and his flamestrike was not large enough to effectively cover the area. That was Firngaer's specialty.

Moving through the darkened city, cries for large explosions call out. The meager light is just enough to allow the gnome eyes to pick out several combatants. Most notably is Savin who seems to be calling for flame to be targeted on his area...ok.
Calling forth another charge from his staff, Firn'gaer targets Savin as the blast point, centered at AM45 and reaches out in a 20-ft radius.

And, after an inspection, decides that Dalek would be better out of the fire of the second story crossbows. Jaeden dismounts, instructing the Warhorse to remain behind the total cover of the Courtyard wall.
Savin is surprised as all of the Werebeast weave and tumble right up to him, allowing him now opportunities to tag them as they come in. He calls for a fireball, confident in his ability to evade the fiery blast. The Werebeast rogues around him, though, look pretty lithe. Their reflexes look as good, if not better than his. Though surrounded, the monk takes them one at a time. Turning to the northeast, he clubs a black Cat. He feels bones crush under the impact, but the Cat is still standing.
Sly stares across the roof at the still and blackened form of the Wererat that Savin had just put down. It doesn't move. Looks beat pretty bad, and definitely unconscious. Good! The greater battle awaits. He can hear Jaeden's call. Sly skirts the oil fire. It looks like it's dying out. The Bladesinger squeezes past something soft but invisible, and edges past Niobe. Luke looks around to make sure a Fireball is not coming down on top of him. What he sees, though, is that the oil fire in the middle of the alley is dying down. It may be possible soon to pass it safely by.
Niobe picks up the sounds of combat as well, and rushes to the edge of the roof. Next to Lady Celine, who is floating in mid-air, Niobe looks down into a courtyard filled with Werebeasts and flashing steel. Savin's quarterstaff rises and falls, but he is surrounded.
Lady Silverhand reaches the edge of the roof at nearly the same time that Niobe does. Visibility is poor from the top of the building. At this height she can only see a small ways into the courtyard. Dark shapes fight in the distance, but she cannot tell them apart. With human eyesight you can only see 60 feet. As you are already 30 feet up, I'd say that you can barely see 10 feet past the Courtyard Wall.)
Peerimus and Yorrick move directly into line with the Gate. Beyond, the druid sees shapes moving in the gloom. But Yorrick can see the swarming Werebeasts, and Savin in their midst. He stands ready to protect his friend from all comers.
Firn'gaer leaves the roof and flies out across the alley. 20 feet down below him is the top of the Courtyard Wall. He lifts his staff again and an orange ball of flame engulfs Savin and the Werebeasts around him. But, when the explosion dies away, only one Werebeast is marked. (C13 took full damage. 8 others evaded. Savin, make a Reflex Save vs DC20 or take 21hp damage from the Fireball.)
From near the Mouth of the Alley, Luke is the only one to see the Yeth Hound disappear into the window. Sounds of combat come from within.
Lorbius charges to Yorrick's side and surveys the battle going on within. "Back to each other," he shouts! "Or backs to the wall! Don't let them surround you!" Then he steps into the Gate and attacks the rate just in the entrance. (Hit R11 AC41, Damage 5hp w/DR)
Lady Celine flies by Niobe to a central position on the roof. She strains her eyes to catch a glimpse of what might be within the iron-bound doors, now thrown open. Then she mutters an incantation and disappears.
Up on the roof and down in the alley, the pools of oil fire burn themselves out. On the roof, it leaves a large black circle. The structure may be weakened here, treading upon it may be dangerous.
On the second story, across from the Gate, a Wererat appears in the window. He tosses something out ... another keg of oil with an flask of alchemist's fire attached to the top. It strikes the ground catching Peerimus, Yorrick, Jaeden, Dalek, Lorbius, and a Werecat next to the Gate in the splash of fiery oil. (Take 2d6 hp fire damage. Flames erupt around Jaeden and although they don't directly touch his skin the warrior does not go uneffected. Within moments his armor heats up enough to cause blisters at the contact points [-7hp].
His own pain however, is minor compared to the terrified mental encroachment as Dalek tries desperately to find a place that will shield him from the pain. A hurried look shows Jaeden that this time Dalek did not fare so well against the flames [Dalek -11hp]. The horse's eyes are rolled back and Jaeden can tell that it is taking all of the horses willpower and loyolty to keep from bolting.

With Dalek out of harms way Jaeden is freed from concerns of safety. Enshrouded in flame the warrior stills himself for a split second. His fears wash away. His pain becomes a second set of armor. His eyes narrow and he visualizes the courtyard full of werebeasts.
He begins to run and quickly bursts through the ring of fire, coming to a stop close to Lorbius [move to AO,42]. He begins to close the distance between himself and the wearbeasts but the Lord's words echo in his mind and he remains in place, back to the fire and side to Lorbius.

Niobe steps to the roofs edge [5' step to AK,36]. Given what she sees in the courtyard, and given Jaeden's hollered request, she pulls an arrow and nocks it in her bow. She does not, however, draw the string back. Instead she decides to try something that she's not entirely sure will work.
The Half-Elf takes a bead on the middle window across the courtyard [at AV45]. Holding perfectly still so as not to lose her target, her eyes close and she directs her focus to the newly marked spot on her arm. Her lips part with a small gasp as she feels the power stored within the Knot of Druis' body art. Intuitively she gains an understanding of the tattoo and with a slight shudder she releases the power.

Another barrel crashes in and flames leap about. This is getting annoying, what in the great green Wold are the others doing? Loribus was definately correct, the group needed to not be surrounded and Savin looked to be trying to correct that. Into the storm then The druid is very happy for Jaeden's move as well. His large form fully surrounded, he has not choice but to tumble through the space occupied by two of the Werecreatures. With an expert roll, he escapes the circle of blades. And with a combination jump and climb, quickly pulls himself over the wall and drops down to the other side.
Sly moves closer to the edge of the roof. From his new position, he can see the courtyard below full of dark Werecats and Wererats. That's where the action is. Luke down below, spies the Yeth Hound as it enters the window, and without realizing that it was summoned by Lady Celine, begins barking up from the alley.
Jaeden commands his faithful mount to safety. Dalek bolts, teeth bared and ears flat against his skull. Deeper in the alley, the Warhorse turns, looking and listening for more attack. None comes. Dalek's native intelligence does note, however, that the end of the alley is blocked by a high mound of junk and rubble. Jaeden himself, runs the opposite way, through the flames and through the gate, straight toward trouble. Back to back with Lord Lorbius, he waits for the attack that he knows is coming.
Niobe draws an arrow back, the fletching at her jaw. Her aim is at the nearest window on the western side. (Do you mean AH43?) The rogue draws from her newly gained power, and a sphere of darkness springs up around her, stretching down as far as the top of the Courtyard Wall, just above Savin's head. (Selena, you are now in the field of Darkness. You cannot see anything with reliable clarity. And you have a 20% miss chance firing to hit anything. It's not too far to step out of the Darkness, though. I have the feeling it's going away next round anyway.)
Peerimus and Yorrick follow Jaeden out of the flames. Yorrick swats a paw at the nearest Werecat, raking furrows in its arm. Peerimus casts a spell and they both glow with light, their wounds healing.
Lady Silverhand freezes within Niobe's sphere of Darkness.
Firn'gaer is also motionless and begins to drift toward the ground. He lands lightly on top of the Courtyard Wall.
Face grim, Lorbius steps five feet away out of the fringes of the burning oil. "Surrender Rat," he growls to his foe. "Surrender! All of you! Your numbers bring you no protection! Surrender or die!" The Lord drives home the point with an rain of blows from both his weapons. (Hit R11 AC34 (Crit Threat, AC32=Crit), AC19, AC22, AC34, Damage 12+10+10+9= 2hp w/DR oi ... )
Lady Celine, steps off of the edge of the building and drops down through the sphere of darkness. Slowing in her flight, she stops five feet above the ground. Seeing Savin, she flies to his side. Invisible to his sight, she whispers in his ear.
"Please save my brother," she says. Savin feels her touch on his shoulder, and then he too disappears. "You will not have long," she says, "but attacking will not end the spell. Please," she pleads once more. (Cast Greater Invisibility on Savin.)
Within the building, the sounds of battle continue, clear evidence that the Summoned Yeth Hound is still pursuing the Werecat. The Wererat in the window disappears into the depths of the room, no doubt to help against the Yeth Hound.
The three Werebeasts to the West again reload and aim at Firn'gaer.

From the door, a Werecat (CE) who has, up till now, hung back, guarding the door, suddenly leaps into action. Springing across the Courtyard, he jumps in at Yorrick. His silver blade flashes at the amulet around Yorrick's neck. (Disarm 31 vs Yorrick's Opposed of 30. Yorrick loses Amulet of Natural Armor +2.) The cord around Yorrick's neck parts before the blade. Then the Werecat springs away. (Spring Attack.)
The Werebeasts in the Courtyard swarm. Many simply take five-foot steps in and cut with their rapiers. Two drop crossbows and attack Lorbius. One tumbles in toward Yorrick's side. Several make their way around the East side of the Courtyard, clearly attempting to come in on Peerimus and Yorrick's flank.

As the Wererat tumbles into Yorrick's reach to attack Jaeden, he encounters a nasty surprise: over five feet of magic enhanced Greatsword. Jaeden's blow carves a strip of flesh from the Wererat's arm, and foils the Rat's attack.
Blades flash, and many score. Lorbius is dripping blood from numerous wounds. Then ...
From out of the dark of the double doorway, a mountain of orange fur emerges. Broad head, dark nose, and green eyes, the Weretiger is bigger than Yorrick. At his side scampers an armored Wererat.
"Begone, Lorbius!" the Weretiger's voice is a booming snarl, deep, but lacking the melodic basso of Lorbius' voice. "You cannot have it back!"
"Cannot have it back. Yesss, that's right," hisses the Wererat. "We have the power now. And we will build a kingdom mightier than yours. We will scale Floating City and rule both Above and Below!"
And there, hanging loosely around the Weretiger's neck, is a bronze medallion strung on a plain leather cord. Each one of the tattoos upon your bodies seems to know it. It is the Amulet of Seribond, the Chaos Bane.

Behaving quite traitorously, Jaeden's armor retains the heat of the fire and continues to burn man-flesh [-3hp]. The pain lessens to more tolerable levels...
Mind on the battle Jaeden steps up to close the distance between himself and the line of engagement [5' step to AO,43]. A quick assessment tells the warrior that Lorbius is in need of help so he angles slightly that direction.
He jabs the point of the massive blade directly at the wererat's face. The ratman easily parries the attack but that was expected from the beginning. Using the energy of the parry Jaeden lets his blade drop low and come around full circle in an overhead cleave. Within the Darkness, Niobe breathes deep, holds the breath, and then releases. Smooth, clean, and simple. To the outward eye, the globe of magic darkness blinks, and suddenly appears on the eastern wall of the Courtyard. The Wererat in the center window hears the whistling passage of the arrow, and the *thunk* as it buries itself into the floor behind him. (For simplicity sake, the Area of Darkness shines out of the window and extends all the way to the ground. But, as the Equator of the Sphere is some 20 feet up, you may enter 10 feet into the Dark area on the map before coming under its effects.)
Firn'gaer drops swiftly into the Courtyard. With a gesture and an incantation, he transforms into a massive gray brown four-legged, armor-plated, hulking Land Shark. But this form is different that that of a troll. There are no scraps of clothing. Nothing familiar. Rufus, deprived of his comfortable pocket, leaps free and scurries to the wall.
Sly Foxx runs to the edge of the roof and leaps off into space. Three stories of the dark gloomy Trash Level open up below him. Despite his faith in the magic of the Ring of Featherfalling, it's a spooky feeling to be dropping through space. With Niobe's sphere of Darkness now gone Sly can see the entire Courtyard below filled with Werebeasts, a Huge Land shark, and his friend with their backs to the burning oil. Sly lands next to the Werecat (C8) lying unconscious on the ground. Sly speaks to the Werecat, but receives no reply. The Cat does no more than lie on the ground and bleed. Both Sly and Luke hear the sounds of their friends as they clash with the rogues of the Cat and Mouse gang in the Courtyard just a short distance away.
Luke comes tearing around the corner. With a leap, the barbarian wardog latches onto the dark form of the Werecat on the ground. Luke lifts the Werecat in his jaws, shaking and tearing. Funny, though, it doesn't seem to hurt the dying Werecat any worse than it is hurt right now. Boy, these things are tough.
Jaeden takes more damage before the burning oil on his body at last goes out. The armored warrior steps five feet into the midst of his opponents and makes a triple cut. But luck withholds her favor, and the Wererat grins as he comes away with no more than a scratch. Dalek remains in the Alley. Burned and pierced by bolts, he listens and watches. Nothing threatens. This area seems safe.
Peerimus transforms, and now two great bears stand with their backs to the fire. (Sorry, Wildshaping is a Standard action. No attack this round. However, doesn't Wildshaping also restore lost Hitpoints? Peerimus should be at full health, shouldn't he?)Yorrick lashes out with all of the weapons gifted him by the Mother and Father. His claws draw blood from the Werecat, but the resistance granted by the lycanthrope's nature resists the bite.
Savin asks the Lady Celine about the Amulet, the Bane. And for the first time since the Weretiger has emerged from inside the building, she looks up to see over the wall. "Tarleth." Her voice is a low whisper. "I do not know," she replies to Savin. "The Bane was a minor treasure in the vault of House Ursidae. No one paid particular attention to it until it was stolen. This is the first time I have seen it." While Lady Celine speaks, Savin draws focus to his body. Through the power of his mind, he heals himself. Then he scales the wall. This time, the climb is more difficult. Slower. Savin tops the wall to find that the bulk of the Land Shark blocks his way. It is ten feet to the ground below. Savin waits atop the wall and looks for a path through. With the extraordinary speed granted by his magic boots, the monk puts on a burst of speed and makes his way into the courtyard. Invisible, but not silent.
Lady Silverhand curses the darkness, and begins to feel her way across the edge of the roof. Suddenly the darkness is gone. From the corner of her eye, she sees Sly Foxx jump off the roof. But instead of falling, he drifts gently to the ground. Magic. It must be some form of magic. When she arrives at opposite from the Courtyard Gate, Lady Silverhand sees the burning oil down below. With their backs to the oil, her companions are arrayed against a line of Werebeasts. (Welcome back Kristel. Hope you're feeling better. With Selena's human eyesight, she can target any of the Werebeasts clustered around the Gate and out to Row 45. Don't forget to take a -4 Penalty if the creature you are shooting is involved in Melee combat.)
Lorbius takes a five-foot step in to fill the space left by Jaeden, and he switches targets. (Hit R2 AC32, AC20, AC24, AC38, Damage 4+2+1 = 7hp w/DR) The flail and kukri combination strike with blinding speed, but hitting and hurting are not the same thing in this game.
Celine flies over the wall after Savin's departure. Her eye runs across the confusing tide of melee. Her brother stands exposed for what he is. Her love fights for both life and the security of his House. For all of their Houses. Flying to Lorbius, hovering above the flames of the oil fire, Celine chants and incantation. An invisible Shield springs up before Lorbius, protection against further injury.
More shouts and growls come from within the building to the North. The Yeth Hound still battles the two Werecats, a fairly even match.
Excited shouts come from the second story windows to the West as Firn'gaer drops into the courtyard and becomes a Land Shark. They reload and fire into Melee.

The Eastern Windows are cloaked in darkness. From within, come the sounds of movement. Not three, but five Werebeasts emerge from the darkness. Most make their way around the periphery toward the Land Shark.
Two Wererats (R10 & R12) near the door, track across the courtyard for a good shot at the Bulette. They reload.

Tarleth emerges more fully into the Courtyard. His muscles ripple and a snarl escapes his lips. But, instead of leaping into the melee to rip and rend with is giant claws, he weaves his taloned hands together. An incantation escapes his fanged lips. Six of the rogues and Tarleth himself glow with light and begin to speed up.
Magic. But, then again, it only follows that if Celine is possessed of Sorcerous powers, that her brother could possibly as well.
The Wererat S'bat laughs at Tarleth's side as he too feels the Hasting power. He takes up a symbol from around his neck, a symbol that radiates evil. The Rat cries out to Marteaus and then Commands, "HALT!" S'bat's cackles. His laughter lifts into the murky light of Trash Level, ringing above the fire and destruction. (S'bat casts Greater Command. Savin reaches out with his enlarged hand and grabs the amulet from the weretiger's chest. With a flex of his biceps he snaps the cord and runs straight west.
When he reaches the wall, he quickly climbs up disregarding safety for speed. He pulls himself over, the wall and heads to the corner of the building. When he reaches it, he looks down at the amulet in his hand and wonders what to do next.

OOC Al, I am not sure if I need to drop my staff but assume I might to make the climb. Savin will do so it that is what he has to do.

DM Al to Selena/Kristel Sunday October 16th, 2005 8:46:41 PM
Kristel, that should be a roll of a 3d6 for the Damage caused by a 30-foot drop from the top of a two-story building.
However, there are two ways you can mitigate this. 1) Roll Tumble and beat a DC15. That will reduce the fall by 10 feet. 2) Roll Jump and beat a DC of 15. That will reduce the fall by 10 feet also. Make both checks and the reduce the fall by 20 feet and damage goes down to a roll of 1d6.

The rogues swarm around Peerimus and [/b]Yorrick[/b]. The druid feels the spell and shakes off the effect. For one heart stopping moment, he sees Yorrick freeze held in the thrall of the unholy spell. Peerimus rains fire and death on one of the Rat attempting to sneak in behind him. And when he turns back, Yorrick is in motion, attacking the front line of Werecreatures. (Go ahead and roll Yorrick's attack and damage for last round as well as anything this round, Daniel. Rich pointed out that Command is Language-based. Yorrick would not have understood the 'Command.')
Firn'gaer shakes off the rough fingers of the spell as well. As the little voice of his rat familiar upbraid him within his mind, the wizard turned Land Shark leaps into the air and rakes the northern-most creature with all four claws. As vicious as his swipes are, though, the damage to the one Wererat is far from severe. Rufus tries to squeeze himself as far into the juncture between the wall and the floor as possible. Nobody's paying any attention to a small rat anyway. Or so he hopes.
Savin reaches across the distance between himself and the large fanged Weretiger. With a quick dart of his hand, he snatches the amulet. The Tiger's eyes go wide as he feels the pull. *snap* The cord parts. Savin has the Amulet of Seribond in his hand. After the attack, Savin remains invisible. He turns to flee. From the corner of his eye he sees the Weretiger recede, withdraw. Tarleth shrinks into himself. Before Savin is fully turned around, the Weretiger is no more. In his place, stands a tall, thin, pale skinned man. But Savin is already committed to his course of action. The last thing Savin sees is a flash of red hair, the same color as Lady Celine's, and he is speeding for the West Wall. With incredible speed, he scales the two story building, thirty feet all the way to the roof. As Savin turns to look back, he finds that he no longer has his quarterstaff. (20 feet to the Wall. 60 feet of 1/2 speed movement up the wall. Then 10 feet more will get you at most to AE/AF/45/46. BTW, I'm counting Greater Invisibility for you. Let it be a surprise.)
Lady Silverhand fires off a single silver arrow. Upon attacking, she becomes visible again. Then she leaps off the roof of the building, out into empty space. This is not like Sly's gentle drift. The ground rushes up in a terrifying blur. At the last second, Selena remembers ... there is Fire below! Selena hits the ground and rolls. Pain lances through her legs from the impact. There is fire all around her! (BTW, for two shots you have to take a Full Round action. That means no movement along with your attack except for a five-foot step. Take 2d6 hp fire damage. Take 2d6 hp fire damage for each round you remain within the flames. For one round after you leave the flames, take 1d6 fire damage.)
Sly Foxx sees the fire blocking the Courtyard Gate. As a clever strategy, he climbs the vines that cover the walls. He steps past Luke and makes his way up. Climbing is slow, as slow as it was last time. From his position on the side of the building, Sly can see the alley below. He can also look out over the fighting in the Courtyard to the East. (Climbing is 1/4 speed. Sly is only 12 feet up. The windows are 20 feet from the ground and 10 feet around the corner. Total of 18 feet away. You can move at 1/2 speed by Beating a Climb of DC20. If you fail the DC by four points or less, you make no progress. If you fail the DC by more than 4 points you fall.)
Luke watches the fire in the middle of the alley. It's burning hot. Suddenly Lady Silverhand falls from out of the sky and directly into the fire.
Jaeden turns his long blade in a complex maneuver ... or tries to. He finds himself unable to move at all, snared by the Command word of S'bat's spell. In the alley, Dalek wickers and stamps his front hooves, the trapped feeling that comes from his master comes through their empathetic link. (Jaeden, make a will save every round to break free of the spell.)
Niobe knows the limits of her bow. Then, an idea occurs to her. She looks for Savin. Down below, the Weretiger has jerked and then suddenly become a naked man. What happened? No Savin. She nocks an arrow and waits. (The Spot DC to detect the presence of an active invisible creature is DC20. The Spot DC to know an invisible creature's location is DC40. Yup. That's right.)
Lord Tarleth staggers, naked before the large double doors to the Lair. With a final weave, he collapses to the ground where he sits holding his head.
"Tarleth!" It is the voice of Lady Celine as she flies above the melee in the courtyard. From above Tarleth two Scorching Rays slam downward striking S'bat as Celine strikes. The Wererat's fur is singed, but he is not appreciably harmed.
"You are right, Peerimus!" From the opposite side of the melee comes the voice of Lord Lorbius. "It is this S'bat! Celine!" he shouts, "I come! Hold on! I will be there!" The Lord redoubles his efforts, putting tremendous power into his blows at the sacrifice of accuracy. Flail and Kukri carve away at the Wererat before him.
The Werecreatures, face their opponents, lips pulled back into snarls of bared canine teeth. They hold their weapons ready for deadly attack ... And yet ... And yet, the looks in their eyes betrays them. Their eyes are drawn, drawn toward the pale thin human lying on the ground. The once great Tiger who was to lead them. Leaderless, they are cut adrift. It stays their hands.
"KILL THEM!!!" It is the scream of S'bat, smoke curling from his whiskers. "KILL THEM ALL!!! AND THE FALSE LORD AS WELL!!!" S'bat raises his holy symbol displaying the three rings of the God of Disease. A column of flame slams down from the sky and onto the side of the building. Two screams of pain fill the air as the Flame Strike catches Tarleth, and, invisible though she is, Celine as well.
The Werecreatures prepare to begin the attack again, but with half the heart.

Up above she sees Sly Foxx climbing up the wall on the other side. The big talking dog, Luke is looking her way, his eyes as concerned as a dog's eyes can be.
Jaeden struggles to fight off the effects of the Command word, but his muscles will not respond to his will. Dalek lays back his ears, in his heart he knows what is coming for his master as he shares the same feelings.
Firn'gaer the armor plated Land Shark, glides across the courtyard. The three rogues that he had faced take the opportunity against him. (AoO Hit AC26, AC20, AC21) All three blades clatter off Firn'gaer's hide. The giant Bulette reaches out for a bite of the evil Wererat, S'bat, but his teeth meet something yeilding yet impenetrable. That's some very good armor. (S'bat's AC is posted in the OoC section.)
Sly makes an incredibly skilled climb. With triumph, he pulls himself up on to the roof. (Technically, Sly should only make 15 feet. But, for the Natural 20, I gave you the extra 3 feet for free.)
Luke rushes to Lady Silverhand's side. Oil flames still dance about her body. He does what a dog can do to help put out the flames.
Niobe watches from her vantage point above. Suspecting a rear attack, she rushes to the corner. The alley is empty. To the south, she can see Peerimus' Wall of Fire, still burning to the south. If there are reinforcements, they won't likely be coming from that direction. Looks all clear. From the second story window, she can hear the shouts of the two Wererogues as they continue to fight off the Yeth Hound.
Peerimus spends a moment to heal both he and his ursine friend as Yorrick continues to lay about himself with tooth and claw. As mighty as the bear is, though, the Werecreature's natural resistance to damage may yet be the true Bane of the Children of Chaos.
A low cloud of dust explodes up into the air directly in the middle of S'bat and his crew of Werebeasts, as something large and invisible lands from above. It is Savin. S'bat staggers as he is struck hard by a single blow. (Only one strike on a Standard Action. More than one requires a Full Round Action.)
Lorbius roars with rage as Celine's scream fills the air. Ducking his head, he pushes into the Wererat before him. (Improved Overrun 19 vs DC16) With a shove, he knocks the Wererat prone. A Werecat nearby takes an opportunistic swing at the noble. The cut is clean, but Lady Celine's shield spell added to the Lord's trained Mobility save him from harm. The Lord only stops when he bumps into something large and invisible. "You! S'bat! Yield or Die!" he shouts.
"Flee brother!" Lady Celine flies down from above to pull her brother into the building, only to see three more Wererogues standing inside, blinking in amazement and indecision. Tarleth remains, dazed upon the ground. Celine intones a spell and slaps her hands down upon her shoulders. "Fly, brother. Fly!"
The Bulette is clearly impenetrable. But he's the biggest and nearest target. All three Werecreatures in the windows fire.

[Yorrick will 23/ Peerimus will 25/ concentration 16 hero point 34] Peerimus looks about, but still does not see the rest coming to help soon they would find nothing to do but bury bodies. The thought stings and angers the druid. Where in blazes are they, did they run? Rogues surround him and one slips through his defences as well as the protectional spell. The sick cloud rolls forth, but the druid ignores its most debilitating effects. A glance sidelong to Yorrick reveals the his life long friend to be on his last legs. it was time for much more desperate measures. Peerimus casts Animal growth on himself and Yorrick. The warrior coughs and sputters. He begins to collapse but at the last moment takes a step and regains his balance. It is very obvious that even a strong gust of wind will finish the warrior off.
As a warrior so often will Jaeden accepts his fate and decides to take as many werebeast as he can with him. Unfortunately fate is sometimes cruel and Jaeden is unable to force his body into an attack.

With the back door clear Niobe decides it's time for her to get into the fray. She runs at full speed along the top of the roof (to AV,36) until she gets to her chosen spot. Once there she begins her climb down.
The rogue grabs the edge and lowers herself down onto the vines that cover the wall. Just as she makes what she believes is a secure grab on the vines, the plant falls away from the wall [climb 4 crit fail].
Niobe plummets the 30' to the ground...

Invisible and undetected, Savin shakes off the Unholy Blight and lays into the armored form of S'bat once more. His care is rewarded, and the Rat rocks in the wake of the one lucky blow.
Having climbed laboriously to roof, Sly Foxx now ... jumps off. Floating downward, he has but moments to reach out and grasp the windowsill. With a heave, he launches himself into the window feet first, aiming a kick at the surprised black Cat inside. The kick does little to hurt the Werecat, and, as Sly's foot strikes out the Beast carrying a useless crossbow, takes a bite at Sly instead. (AoO Bite Sly AC8) The Cat's fangs close on empty air. Good thing too, because a bite from one of these could mean contracting the disease of Lycanthrope. Sly looks across the room. Damn. It's one long room with three windows. And there are, not three, but five Werecreatures in here. (Sorry, Sly, can't be in AH43. That square is already occupied. I put you at AH42.)
Peerimus and Yorrick too, shake off the worst of the Breath of Marteaus. With Yorrick unprotected and slick with his own blood, Peerimus does what he can to stave off the judgment of Gargul. He calls for the favor of the Mother and Father. Druid and friend both quickly swell in size. Yorrick feels the change and presses forward, keeping his tail from out of the oil fire behind. Jaeden as well as the press of attacking Werecreatures are shoved across the ground, yielding before the expanding flesh of the two bears. Peerimus and Yorrick now tower over all those around them. Their paws thud heavily upon the ground, every bit as terrifying as the Land Shark nearby.
Jaeden is not as lucky as the others. In fact, it would be an understatement were one to say that the warrior was having an exceptionally bad day. Unable to break the evil bonds of Command, he waits for the thrust of the thin blades as they find their way through his armor. From the dark of the alley, senses his master's fatalism, and on some level understands what it means. His high call can be heard above the fire and the clash of arms. The loyal mount rushes to the edge of the fire.
Firn'gaer leaps into the air, slashing at a nearby Wererat. But, as fearful as his current form may be, the claws of the Bulette do little damage.
Niobe runs along the edge of the roof. With the ground slanted at 45 degrees, this is a perilous act. Still, the rogue keeps her balance. (Balance 23 vs DC15) She seems to reach for the vines. At a dead run, she reaches for the vines. The rash act results in her fall, thirty feet all the way to the ground below. It's a miracle that she isn't hurt worse than she is.
Lord Tarleth coughs. Black blood spews from his mouth. Weakly, he looks up in the direction from which his sister's voice had come. Nothing is there. Still, he obeys the command and begins flying upward. Sickened and near death, Tarleth flies over the badly bleeding bear. With a word and a touch, Yorrick becomes invisible.
With her brother rising out of the Courtyard, Lady Celine turns to others who might be in need. She flies over the melee and settles at the armored warrior, Jaeden. Jaeden feels her hand take hers. Her hears a chant from her voice. There is a moment of disorientation, and then he recognizes the alley. They are in the alley. They have teleported. (Mishap Roll 26 for Location Casually Seen: On Target)
Lord Lorbius again roars. This time, though, he begins to grow. The roar continues, half anger, half pain, bones crack, muscles jump. Dark brown hair grows out all over the Lord's body. Now a Large Werebear, Lord Lorbius looks down upon S'bat. "You will give yourself over to Justice," he declares, pointing his flail at the Wererat, "You will give yourself over or you will die!"
It's in their eyes. Cold animal eyes though they may be, the eyes of the rogues reveal the awe and the fear that this titanic battle instills in them. Gang to gang melee, even with blood running in the gutters, may be one thing. But this ... gigantic creatures. Invisible enemies. Magics to boggle the mind. Some of the rogues reveal an edge of panic. Some a hard desperation. All, however, are moving toward a breaking point.
The Werecreatures in the windows all turn to Sly Foxx. They abandon the windows, some tumbling in to attack him from all directions. Sly is surrounded!

This time, the wounds are more severe, and the Rat cried out loudly in pain and fear. It is hemmed in, down in the canyon between the terrible creature and the wall of the building. And there is something large and invisible to its right as well, blocking its way.
Savin strikes through the dark and evil aura that surrounds S'bat. The blow is crushing. Even stunning. But the Wererat shakes off the pain and growls.
Sly Foxx finds himself surrounded! The Bladesinger swings about with powerful blows. But on these Werecreatures, the blade does not cut as deep. Sly remembers that Werebeasts can only be struck true by Silver. He also remembers that these are rogues too. And it would be dangerous to let one get on either side of him ... like they are now. Very dangerous indeed. (These have Damage Reduction of 10/Silver, Sly. That means that for each blow, take away 10 damage. That means you only hit for 4 and 1. That's what makes these guys so tough.)
Luke paces back and forth. The fire is daunting. It wouldn't be so hard to jump. Or to run quickly through. But ... how would a dog get through with everyone blocking the way?!?
Lady Silverhand knows her limits. The others out there are taking incredible damage. The poor man unable to move is proof of that. She pours a healing potion down his throat and watches as the rapier wounds heal. ... rapier wounds ... Selena recalls her training. They can't flank her. Her Dodge is Uncanny, like eyes in the back of her head. They cannot target her vital areas and this is their strongest weapon. Further, Selena remembers that she has the Ring. And she can disappear.
Peerimus and Yorrick fight for their lives. With a single stroke, Peerimus sends a Wererat to the ground in a heap of flames. Turning to his fore, he strikes another. With two swipes of powerful invisible paws, Yorrick eliminates his Flanker. The Wererat drops to the ground, and rises to meet Gargul. Despite the attack, Yorrick remains invisible.
Jaeden takes the cool healing potion between his lips. There's a brief moment of dissonance, the mind deciding which is more a balm, the healing magic, or the sight of the beautiful woman. Sick and wounded, Jaeden turns back to the battle, through the fire and back to the fight. But his body will not respond. The evil Command wills it so. Dalek stamps his feet, on the opposite side of the fire.
Niobe races across the alley and begins scaling the wall. She pulls her self over the top and looks down into the pit of Melee. (Here's the calculation for the Climb. Double Move = 60 feet. 10 feet to cross the alley, leaving 50 feet left. The Wall is 10 feet high and Climb is 1/4 speed. That means it takes 40 feet of movement. Niobe climbs to the top of the wall and has 10 feet of movement left. She could probably Jump down into the Courtyard with her remaining 10 feet. But, I don't think that would be too healthy.)
Flying over the Melee, Tarleth, weak and near death, croaks out the Wererat's name. "S'bat, I don't understand how I ever believed your lies. But my eyes are clear now. And if I am not mistaken, you stand revealed to all. You dream grandiose dreams at the expense of others. You cannot build an empire on your dreams alone. Others must truly share them. I ... I was a fool." Tarleth speaks a few short word and passes a hand before his own eyes. As he does, Tarleth too disappears.
"There are other ways," the voice comes from another place above the Courtyard. It is Celine's voice, clear and strong now. "We have spoken with your comrade at the alley entrance. There are other ways to find a place for one's self. Ways other than through conquest. We have proven this." There is the sound of eldritch incantation, and suddenly, the room in which Sly Foxx battles alone is filled with Sticky Web! "I am sorry, Bladesinger," Celine's voice calls out. "But I think the Web will put your opponents at a greater disadvantage than it puts upon you."
(Sly Foxx you are Entangled. (But the Werecreatures are too.) Take -2 penalty on all attack rolls and a -4 penalty to Dexterity. Because of the reduction in Dex, your AC is now AC23. If you attempt to cast a spell, you must make a Concentration check (DC 15 + the spell's level) or lose the spell. Sly, the AC of the Werecreatures is now AC19. They cannot hit you as well either. Please look up the Web spell for other restrictions on movement.)
"S'bat," the growling command comes thick and wet from Lorbius' Werebear tongue, "you will tell your followers to stand down, and you will submit yourself for judgment. Submit or feel my wrath! NOW!" The Lord clicks his heels together, and his weapons flash, a taste of wrath to come. (Haste, PA3 Hit AC31, AC42 (Crit Threat, AC31=Crit), AC32, AC13, AC24, Damage 18 + 18 + 16 + 20 = 32 w/DR) Four blows power through the evil protective miasma surrounding the Wererat. S'bat hisses, and cries out in pain.
Up in the Second Story Windows, the Werebeasts that surround Sly are momentarily surprised by the Sticky Web that now Entangles them. But only momentarily. They sense danger from the prey they have cornered and move to attack. They struggle with the web, but still three blades pierce Sly's defenses. The Cat against the Wall (C11) scores a Sneaky attack into a vital portion of the Bladesinger's anatomy.

"LISTEN TO ME!" S'bat cries. Bloody and near death, the Wererat rallies his troops. "Look around at the havoc you have wrecked upon those who oppose you. THEY BLEED!!! THEY FEAR YOU!!! You will see them die under your hand. WATCH!!! WATCH AS THIS ONE WITHERS BENEATH THE TOUCH OF MARTEAUS!!!"
S'bat scuttles five feet away and raises the three ringed symbol. "I STRIKE YOU WITH THE RED ACHE!" (Touch Lorbius 21) S'bat reaches out with a clawed hand and his nails rake down the links of elven chain. From that point a wave of red fever envelopes Lord Lorbius. (Fort 39) Lorbius shakes his massive bear's head and the magic breaks.

In hopes that stilling the voice of S'bat will bring this conflict to an end, Savin throws all he has into a flurry of strikes. An invisible foot catches the Wererat priest, and he staggers. He falters. Savin is about to shout out to the embattled gang that their leader is down. But then S'bat lifts his head. Muzzle stained with his own blood, S'bat's eyes still glow with a desperate fanaticism.
"FIGHT! We are worthy to usher in a new era for our kind! Prove it now! I will disappear! But I will remain with you. And at my side will be the hand of Marteaus! FIGHT!"
Lady Silverhand throws caution to the wind. Activating her ring, she rushes through the fire. (Reflex Save vs DC15 to avoid 1d6 fire damage) Silently, confident in her invisibility, she comes in behind the line of Werecreatures surrounding Firn'gaer, drawing a silvered dagger as she goes. (BTW, Kristel, a Hustle is a double move. And activating your ring is a Standard Action, so you can't make a double move in the same round. Fortunately, you have just enough distance to get where you're going on a single move action, if I ignore a tiny bit of wall. Consider tiny bit of wall ignored.)
Firn'gaer suddenly shrinks down into the form of a gnome again. Space now cleared around him, the wizard rises up into the air. Blood drips down from him staining the spot in which he just stood.
Even through the sticky web, Sly Foxx gets off two good stabs into one of the Werecats. Unfortunately, the point of his blade does not sink very far. The options don't look good here. Burning the Lycanthropes would burn a lot of the Web that is actually protecting him. Sly could cast a spell, but what would be the consequences? He could draw flint and steel, but could he turn his eyes away to search in his pouch? (Sly, getting out your flint and steel would draw and Attack of Opportunity from all of the Lycanthropes. They would get a free attack. You could cast a spell and not draw Attacks of Opportunity if you Cast Defensively. To do that you must make a Concentration Check and beat a DC of 15+Spell level. You have a Concentration Skill of 1 and you have Combat Casting, which gives you another 4. So, with a +5 to your roll, if you beat DC of 15+Spell level you can cast without drawing AoO.)
Luke lifts his head, and the big dog easily reaches up to lick Jaeden's face. The man is not moving! Why is the man not moving. Strange. (BTW, Jaeden, Luke is wearing doggy saddlebags. Should you recover the will to move, there may be something inside them that you could use.)
Yorrick reaches out with an invisible paw and mauls a Werecat. When he drops lets it go, it drops to the ground and does not move. Peerimus brings a crushing paw down upon the head of a Rat. It screams in pain.
The lurching sickness ebbs, leaving Jaeden feeling stronger. He struggles against the Command, and nearly breaks free. What's this doggy spittle on his face?
Niobe leaps down into the Courtyard, her own sphere of Darkness directly above. She hits the ground and rolls to her feet. With the silver dagger, she strikes at a Wererat's spine. The Rat's Dodge is Uncanny. It slips aside at the last moment, avoiding the worse of Niobe's sneaky attack. Niobe nods in acknowledgement. These are rogues. They have her training as well. This could be difficult.
Lorbius snarls. "You will face judgment." Throwing a side his Kukri, the Bear reaches out with one hand for the Rat. See Roll details below) S'bat squeaks and bats at the large paw with the light mace in his claw. The gesture is in vain, and Lorbius snatches the priest of Marteaus with a violent grab that steals from him the last vestiges of consciousness. With a final squeak, S'bat goes limp. (Grapple, S'bat's AoO against Lorbius AC18 /Miss; Lorbius Touch S'bat 27 /Hit; Lorbius Grapple Check 32 vs DC12 Damage 5hp w/DR)
"HEAR ME!" With one arm, Lorbius raises the body of S'bat above his head. All of the Lycanthropes go still. Even the ones that surround Sly on the second floor, entangled in the web cease their attack. "We follow the rule of LAW! We are civilized and nurture society for our benefit and the benefit of others around us! The LAW can be hard and unforgiving. But through Justice, the law can be merciful."
"This one," he shakes S'bat's body and continues in the thick voice of a Werebear, "will be shown all of the courtesies of Justice, because he has broken the LAW. You too have broken the LAW. And, as you can see me before you, *I* have also broken the LAW as well. I have broken our LAW and taken this form within the bounds of Floating City! And I submit myself to Justice. I pledge myself to my people in the hopes that I may be granted Mercy."
"Will you continue to FIGHT? Or will you submit to JUSTICE? Decide now. What will you do?"
The Lycanthropes turn their eyes to the powerful beings around them. Some look to the two Elite rogues. The Elites themselves eye Peerimus and the empty air at his side. They hold their weapons at the ready. They are still wary. Still very much on edge. Still ready to fight their way to safety.

Behind the wall Jaeden still remains frozen in inaction. Luke pokes him with a cold nose and licks his face, prodding him to action. It is to no avail. Nearby, the oil fire fades to sputtering patches, and goes out.
Up on the second floor, Sly takes advantage of the inaction of the Rogues that surround him to try and come up with a Dispel Magic spell. Though he's heard of one, the Bladesinger knows that it is not one of the spells that he knows. And, as much as he wishes he knew one now, there is little to no chance that a miracle will bring one to mind.
Savin calls for the rogues to flee. He calls to his comrades for mercy.
Peerimus calms Yorrick's blood fury, and the two bears stand wary watching the next move of the Wererogues as intently as the Rogues watch them. The two Bears are a step away from returning to the mayhem of battle. (Peerimus, you have not set a condition that would trigger your Ready Attack. For the sake of faster game play, I'll interpret that as triggering in the case of an Attack upon Yorrick or Yourself, if you don't mind.)
Firn'gaer lifts further, straight up into the air. The ceiling of the level is a very near five feet over his head. A weak light glows from its surface. He draws a potion, most conveniently at the top of his haversack.
In the corner of the Courtyard, Niobe holds her hand.
The Wererogues are quiet. Above them, Lorbius holds the body of S'bat on high. The points of rapiers lower to the ground.
None see her, invisible as she is, but it is Lady Silverhand who breaks the uneasy truce. Two golden lions suddenly appear. With claw and tooth both great manned beast attack a single Werecat, already wounded. The Cat's resistance to damage saves it from all but a minor wound, but it yowls loudly in surprise. A cry goes up from all of the Werecreatures. Very nearby, having done nothing to Attack, Lady Silverhand remains invisible. (BTW, Damage Reduction is taken per Hit. So the Lion's first Damage of 15hp becomes 5hp after DR. The second hit of 8hp goes away entirely, swallowed by the 10hp Damage Reduction. Also, Activating the Lions is a Standard Action. So no attack from Selena. Sorry.)
"HOLD! Who summoned the lions?!?!" Lorbius's voice booms across the Courtyard. "Cease! Cease your attack now!" But are his shouts in time?
In the Northern building, the sounds of the Yeth Hound go silent. Did the Summoned Yeth Hound defeat the two Rogues? Or will they be appearing soon?
To the South, within the dark recesses of the Lair, four Wererogues look out as Lorbius continues to try and calm the melee. These bear burns, no doubt from Peerimus' Wall of Fire. There must be a way from the main alley into the Lair.
Up on the second floor, the Wererogues take advantage of the quiet Bladesinger to crane their necks and attempt to see through the Web and out the window into the Courtyard at the goings on below.
The Rogues around the Lions spring into action. One tumbles (R11) to the far side of the northern Lion (L1) giving his fellows a flanking advantage. From there, he stabs. All of the Rogues go to work. In the blink of an eye, the unarmored and unprotected Golden Lions are cut to bloody ribbons. They both fall to the dust of the dark stained Courtyard and once again become Wondrous Golden Figurines.
The rest of the rogues hold. The bear, in particular, the one with the flaming paw and stony skin, still appears very very dangerous. The bear does not move. The rogues do not either.
Stillness. The air is very still. Tension runs high.
"I an offer you a position with my father, Lord Malneth." It is the voice of Lady Celine.

Lions appear and the were creatures spring about blades flashing. Peerimus moans deeply to his right, where Yorrick stands ready to destroy anything near the exit. "Remain calm friend." [handle animal 32] To the druids relief, Yorrick appears to understand the were creatures are not initiating against him or Peerimus.
Peerimus also notes with much dissatisfaction that the rogues have remained arrayed about him. Pointing a flaming claw at R13 and R6, Peerimus gives a hearty grunt and then waves back over to where RE is still standing.
Both bears remain ready to attack any creature that comes at them. [Peerimus readied Hit AC 38 crit 28 Dmg 34 Yorrick Hit AC 31 Dmg 20]
Common Bonds - End of Combat (DM/Al) Wednesday October 26th, 2005 9:58:24 PM Jaeden, still unable to break the spell, instructs Dalek to be his eyes. The warrior is not able to actually see through his mount's eyes. But, in Dalek is able to describe what he sees in the simplistic language of a Warhorse. "No fighting. Maybe fighting. Jaeden, ride. Ride?"
Niobe slips into the darkness in case things fall apart.
Savin again calls for an end to the fighting.
Firn'gaer drains the potion in his hand, before dropping quickly back down to the ground to pick up Rufus. Rufus is glad. The Courtyard was not a fun place to be.
Still invisible, Lady Silverhand scurries to where her Lion Figurines lie. The small one inch statues give away her position as they float in the air.
Peerimus calms Yorrick once again, though the bear growls deep within his throat. Lions!
"I am Tarleth's sister, Celine of the House Stizein." The red headed sorceress appears above the Courtyard as she dismisses her spell of Invisibility. Celine's voice is high and clear as she continues. "Many of you know my father, Lord Malneth, by reputation. He prides himself on managing the best information network in Floating City. I am his daughter, and I think that he could use men like you. We have a bond. Your people and mine. You require a place where you can belong, and we have created such a place. We, all of us, share a secret."
"But before we may continue, you must return to your human form. And you must lay aside your arms. Do you trust us enough to so this?"
Lorbius, his thick muscled arm still holding the body of S'bat above the heads of the crowd, lowers the priest to the ground. Then, with the creak of bone and the pop of muscle and cartilage he begins to shrink. To his credit, Lord Lorbius does not cry out during his transformation back to human form.
First one, then the next of the Cats and Rats, lay down their weapons. And the air is soon filled with grunts of pain and cries of stifled agony. Celine dismisses the spell of Web on the second floor, and the Lycanthropes surrounding Sly lay their rapiers down on the floor around him before retreating to dark corners to undergo their transformations to human form in relative private.
The spell of Command comes to a quick end, and Jaeden is free to move.
Lorbius draws a wand from a pocket in his vest and begins walking the courtyard, delivering healing magic. (It's a wand of CMW with 50 charges, so everyone may consider themselves at full hitpoints. Unless you don't want to accept healing from him. Your choice.)
The spell of Invisibility also, very quickly runs its course, and Savin appears, towering over the Courtyard. In his hand is the Amulet. The Children of Chaos it is know as the Amulet of Seribond, the Chaos Bane. To the Noble Lycanthrope Houses, it is the Bane of Tosden. What is it's function? What magic did it work upon Lord Tarleth? What role does it play in the quest to slay and resurrect the Avatar of Chaos?
Mysteries. More mysteries. But the artifact is recovered. Time to move on. Men mill about in the Courtyard, checking the dead and injured. Few are actually slain. Preparations are made to move out, leave the Lair behind and return to Gold Level in force.
Savin has the Amulet. And yet, (how to explain this one?) the Children of Chaos remain.
Savin Wednesday October 26th, 2005 10:30:20 PM
Savin sees the tension reduce and he becomes visible. He smiles as the Lord Lubrius starts healing the others and gratefully accepts healing himself.
He looks at the amulet and walks over to the Lady Celine. "My Lady, You call this The Bane of Tosden. What do you know if it? Who was Tosden? We know it as something else. Something powerful. I am curious to know your family history."
Jaeden Ohm and his faithful Horse Dalek Thursday October 27th, 2005 1:40:15 AM
Finally free of the magical hold Jaeden thunders to the gated opening, ready to tear off some wereheads. With his teeth if need be.
With a mix of relief and dismay the warrior notices there are no more rats, and no more cats. Frustration at the lack of targets wars with a sense of compassion. The enemies having converted to human form makes it all the more difficult to find a way to vent his pent up aggression.
The tip of a five and a half foot blade lowers to the ground.
Dalek steps forward and pushes his nose into Jaedens armored shoulder.
With nothing to swing his sword at Jaeden realizes that his face is still covered in dog spit. That the dog in question is a magical one does make it enchanted spit, but that fact doesn't make it any less disgusting.
Jaeden goes to wipe the offending substance from his skin but realizes that armor plates are not the best thing to clean up with... ah well, canine saliva is clean... isn't it?
It is with great appreciation that welcomes the healing attention of Lord Lorbius.
"Dalek could use a little loving as well my Lord." He comments to the Gold Level Noble as the manbear dispense cures.
The Children's lack of departure is of little concern, or even of notice for that matter, to Jaeden Ohm. The reality of his destiny still not fully in grasp.
The warrior waits, eyes open and muscles relaxed but ready to go.
Sly Foxx and Luke Thursday October 27th, 2005 8:34:36 AM
Sly and Luke stands still because they were told to stop.
Selena Thursday October 27th, 2005 10:41:00 AM
Selena slips she lions and dagger away and stays where she is but remains invisable
Niobe (sub Jason) Thursday October 27th, 2005 11:41:39 AM
Niobe pulls back fully into the darkness. She keeps one hand against the nearby wall to help orient herself in the blackness. More calls for a cessation of the combat reach her ears, followed by sounds of popping bones and muffled screams.
Theres a few things that could mean...
To be safe, the rogue stays hidden in the relative safety of the darness created by her enchanted arrow.
effects Darkness, time left: about 9 min. from the end of combat.
Peerimus (AC 24 HP 93/93) and Yorrick (AC 20 HP 82/82) d20+13=23 d20+6=21 d20+5=14 Thursday October 27th, 2005 3:55:14 PM
Peerimus is still wary of the rogues, but things do seem to be settling down. The healing from the wand Loribus carries is welcomed indeed, Especially for Yorrick who fared much worse then he. Peerimus directs Yorrick to move out of the relatively close quarters of the lair and Peerimus, who remains in Bear form, takes up a position in the entrance. Sitting down onto his back haunches.
Many of his spells are soon gone, including the flame and the spell of growth, which is why he moved Yorrick out. Peerimus still had some protection from blades while his friend did not.
The group now appeared to have the totem, this bane, and soon they would hear the chaos tolls, but it would likely not happen immediately. It seemed to Peerimus that the crones always liked the 'eternal champions' to tidy up some loose ends before whisking them away. There were a great many of those ends laying about here at that. Peerimus keeps his eyes and ears alert for signs of trouble. [Spot 23 Listen 21 Sense Motive 14]

Where Are You Going? (DM/Al) d4+2=6 Thursday October 27th, 2005 10:08:34 PM
"Our family history?" Lady Celine smiles at Savin as he shrinks back down to normal size. "We of the blood of House Stizein learn that our ancestors first came to the Floating City as wandering merchants. This was before the year 400A4, before the city sank and became fixed in the spot it is today."
"But," her smile widens and she points at the Amulet, "If you are inquiring about that, then I would guess that what you really want is a history of House Ursidae. It is from an artifact from their vaults, after all. Or, my father may know something about it. There is little that escapes his attention."
Lord Lorbius is busy directing the men of the Cat and Mouse gang as they gather together what belongings they might need. He continues his rounds with the healing wand, bringing each man, woman, and animal to the strength they will need to make the trip up to Gold Level.
"Foolish. It was foolish." The voice is from Lord Tarleth. Approaching from behind. He now wears a cloak to cover his nakedness. He looks much better for the healing from the wand. But dark circles still line his eyes. "I only wished to see what could possibly be dubbed a 'Bane' to the Noble House of Ursidae. When Bael left the Vault before me ... I put it on." Tarleth squeezes his eyes shut, but whether to close away the images or to see them better is unclear. "You can't imagine the feeling. So many sensations. So many emotions, philosophies, knowing, feeling, changing everything at once. It was burning me with a chaotic mix of everything at one and I thought it would tear my soul apart. I felt I screamed. But I must not have. Because when I opened my eyes, I was alone. And I had changed. Within the vault of another of the Noble Houses, I had changed. I ... I tried to change back. I couldn't. I tried to remove the Bane. And my hands would not rise to remove it."
Tarleth looks about at the Children of Chaos. "I don't know whether you know how we are raised to regard The Change. I panicked. I called an Invisibility spell and I ran. For weeks, I hid and ran, stealing food, trying to will the change, trying to remove the Bane. I fled to Trash Level, hoping to possibly flee the City through one of the Locks. That is when S'bat found me."
The rest of the Children of Chaos remain watchful and wary. Lady Silverhand remains invisible for two minutes, and then the spell conferred by her ring ends and she reappears. Niobe also appears as her sphere of darkness vanishes. Peerimus senses nothing amiss about the situation.
The rogues are surprisingly mobile. Or, perhaps unsurprisingly, as this is, after all, a rogue's lair. They are packed and ready to go in just under 20 minutes. Lorbius forms the rogues into two columns of paired men, and they all stand ready for departure.
"We should make Gold Level before nightfall," Lorbius rumbles. And then he eyes the Children of Chaos. The question on his mind is plain. He strides to Peerimus, placing an affectionate hand upon Yorrick's shoulder.
"Where are you off too now?" he asks. "If you wish, we can guide you to the Docks. There is also a Teleport pad to Plateau City on Gold Level. Or, if you wish, please accept the hospitality of the noble houses of Floating City. Spend the night and get a fresh start in the morning."
Lorbius smiles as he awaits a reply, unaware of the silence that he does not hear. For there is no tolling of the Chaos Bell. There is no feeling from the tattoos. Savin stands with the Amulet in his hand, it's leather cord in need of mending. That is all. The silence is deafening.
"Why are we still here?!?" It is Niobe. "WHY?!? Why are we here in the first place? This land isn't ours. And we didn't come here of our own choice. SEND US BACK!" She cries out and shakes the silver dagger in the air. "It's these things. It's these things." Niobe rubs at the tattoo on her hand, desperately trying to wipe it away. And then, with an anguished cry, she hacks into her own hand with the silver dagger. Tendon and muscle peels away to reveal white bone beneath. Niobe raises the dagger to strike again at her own flesh.
Jaeden Ohm d20+17=21 Thursday October 27th, 2005 11:13:55 PM Niobe no! Jaeden shouts as he charges towards the rogue at full speed. For an instant he is surprised that his body responds...
He dives at Niobe, trying to stop the dagger from doing any more damage.

Sly and Luke Friday October 28th, 2005 7:25:59 AM
Sly eyes his enermy tell them, "Well Boys! Let's go downstairs and meet the rest of the gang."
Sly will enter the court yard with the archers, Sly will whistle for Luke first, he will also look around for Niobe, "Oh! No!" he tells himself, Sly will run to Niobe's side, He'll try to stop her, by grabing her wrist (the one with the knife), and talk to her in Elvish.
OOC: I hope to do this in one or two rounds.
Luke hear his master whistle, leaves Jaeden and runs yo Sly.
Peerimus and Yorrick Friday October 28th, 2005 8:58:12 AM
Peerimus mind walks in itself for a moment or two as Loribus moves about and it is evident no further conflict is forthcoming. Yorrick senses it as well and Peerimus feeds off the bear's ease and allows himself to become more distracted. Loribus is an Ursine Lycanthrope and could bestwo that blessing on me, but at what cost. I would no longer be a blessed son, but I feel my soul would finally be complete. Would it be worth turning away from the way, from Yorrick, from my true self? Am I just deluding myself? Loribus claps Yorrick and addresses him, breaking him from contemplation.
"Where to now? A fine question sir, though" and speaking more loudly now "I believe I know why we have not left my friends. The Crones, the bell and maybe the entire wold waits on us to deliver Ebyron. Reform, Sleep or Death were the choices laid out before us this morning by Queen Maab. We also know the Shields were given the smae choice. I think we should return to the Giggling Ghost. It will determine whether we are to confront the avatar together or if we travel seperate paths."
Niobe begins to wig and the druid's eyes narrow. Not good Jaeden moves in and he turns to Selena. "Now? Now we confront a portion of the natural order, an avatar of Ebyron."
Peerimus begins to move with Loribus, "we can go with you to the level above, but need to stop at the Giggling Ghost. If the Shields are not there or have dealt with thier own avatar then we can with you to Gold Level if you wish."
Selena Friday October 28th, 2005 12:26:36 PM
Selena walks over and grabs some healing, as te healing washes the pain away she says " thanks friend" " turning to the party " Now what do we do i am lost as to what is going on "
Firn'gaer Friday October 28th, 2005 8:32:22 PM
Anger and frustration fill the gnomes head. Firn'gaer furious for the lack of action be his companions.
Might have been one of YOUR boys by your inactivity He thinks to himself as Sly speaks.
Selfish, reckless, a danger to everyone. He says to Rufus.
It is a wonder that any of them have survived this long.
It is...
How're going to take this?
An earful is what they'll get when we've move to safer location. A damn loud earful.
Or...he thinks...he'll just have to look after himself and not rely on the others to watch his back.
Then the scene unfolds before him. He watches as the young rogue mutilates her hand. He understands her frustration. Whisked around the Wold never able to go home. Never to return until the mystery that he bares is completely revealed.
Still she did so little during the battle. Does she think that will free her. If she is the only one left. Sly, too, and his dog. Sitting by while we nearly meet Gargul. I don't know what could be in their heads, but... He pauses mid-thought. I'll have to be that much more mindful of their actions. I will not end from their actions or lack.
Sly and Luke Saturday October 29th, 2005 8:03:45 AM
Sly holds Niobe in his arms until she stop trying to cut her self, Sly Still speaking in elvish, "Try to listen to me. I'm you friend, I'm here to help you, You have saved me when I needed help and now I'm here to help you return to your wold!" Sly put a finger under her chin, lifting her face and will look strait into her eyes. "Remember in Ice Vain? When I took the vow of a Bladesinger? Remember the spirit of a red head Elf? Well! That was my sister! I will call upon her now, and she'll take you to the Eternal City of Light, the Capitol of All Elves and Half Elves. There you will heal and when your ready to go back to you wold. The Elves will take you any where in the Wold you want to go. I cannot take you I have unfinish business here, But you'll be in very good hands. Good by my Sister in Arms." Sly kisses Niobe on the forhead, goes into his little pouch and takes out the head band with his Sisters Red hair lock still inside the headband. Sly start chanting, with one knee on the ground, holding up the headband.
