Appolo looks around"Clarice fire the catapult then head for the other tower and jion your friends.Oni got anything you can drop on these guys in front of us." Appolo contues to survey the scene.He again looks around the entire battle looking over the other walls of Oshir House,trying to find out how Domi and the rest are doing,shile readies his pole arm to push the ladder back down when it is put up agian.

Toros blasts one of the fey-orcs in Squad 1 with his wand. And then he retreats into the shadows again.

Oni uses his Sphere to burn another member of fey-orc Squad 2.

Garrett's Spiritual Longsword drops the Commander C1. Meanwhile, the celestial bear manages to drop one of the members of Squad 1.

Then he casts Prayer, calling for the favour of ... whoever ... on himself, some of his allies and the nearby opponents. Then he steps up to repel boarders.

Xenia and Bertie complete winding the catapult and pick their targets for next round.

Syr keeps cranking on the catapult. Over the tower's edge, he can hear the flyers cackling to one another on the ground. Meanwhile, Dobbin cries out "I can see again!".

Appolo directs Clarice to fire and she does so. Everyone on the west tower has the satisfaction of seeing both groups fall down and one of them stop moving. Then he gets ready to knock down the ladder again.

Anyone who looks back to the other walls can see that Domi and Alemi are in similar shape. Both groups have had to fight on the walls but are holding.

Flyer Squads 1 and 2 continue to look for anyone that they can shoot.

The members of Fey-orc Squad 1 continue to attack the celestial bear. Only one of them hits the summoned creature. Fey-orcs 1-1 and 1-3 step forward, drawing their falchions as they approach, but only one hits.

Fey-orc Squad 2 elude the Entangle spell, get to their feet and shuffle ahead slowly.

Fey-orc Squad 6 downs their ladder and pushes it upright. The remaining two members of the squad elude the spell and move forward to rejoin.

Fey-orc Sergeants S1, S2 and S3 remain entangled.

Sergeant S4 eludes the vines, gets to his feet and moves forward.

Sergeants S5, S6 and S8 elude the vines and move forward. All manage to escape the area of the spells.

Sergeant S7 becomes entangled.

Leader L1 cannot break free. Leader L2 breaks free but cannot move. Leader L3 and L4 move ahead to the squads at the wall.

Flyer Squad 3 continue to elude the spell and move ahead.

Flyer Squad 4 might as well stop struggling.

The flyer leaders shout encouragement, while the spellcaster readies a sling. His readied shot sails harmlessly wide of Garrett when he steps forward to push the ladder away.

The two recently landed flyers move forward.

Xenia, on the opposite side of the catapult from Bertram, Xenia helps adjust the aim. Just a tad to the east. Right where they look like they're just about to excape out of the entangling weeds. Drop it right down on 'em

Thinking the two new comers, walking close to the castle, should be the spellcasters that follow the new flyer groups, Toros decides to use his wand against them or any of their spell-casting attempt. When any of the spellcasters start to cast a spell Toros activates his wand one more time in order to cause some damage as well as distract their concentration. The first three missiles target S3 (10 hp) and the last two target S4 (7 hp). Then the Taur hides into the shadows again (hide, 32 with elixir of hiding), moving 10 ft south - to the right-behind of the catapult 3.

Oni allows the flaming ball to sit where it is for the moment. Hopefully it will distract the attackers by its mere presence.

He starts an incantation, and weaving of his hands. He knew this spell. He knew it well. He would be summoning another friend of the planes, Drag, a fiendish dire wolf.

DM Apology - Sorry for the late post. I upgraded to Norton Internet Security 2006 last night and it borked my computer. Not entirely certain what happened but I have Internet access back now.
Look for the next post sometime tomorrow after everyone has posted.


Xenia and Bertie trigger the catapult and then prepare to meet the fey-orcs assaulting the walls. The load of stones land where it was aimed, hitting Squads 4 and 5 and some of the sergeants. All of them are knocked down but all seem to be moving afterwards, though some seem really beat up.

Afterwards, Xenia steps forward to the wall and Bertie moves to help Appolo and the others in the west tower. Looking down, Xenia can see that all of the flyers are now on the ground. When they were in the air the fey-kobolds seemed to glide, rather than fly, and had very poor control and manoeuvrability.

Toros holds his action, waiting for the newly arrived fey-kobolds to do something.

Garrett easily tosses back the ladder. His Spiritual Longsword moves to attack the Silenced spellcaster, hitting extremely well and nearly dropping the fey-kobold.

The celestial brown bear smites a fey-orc, delivering a mighty blow. With it's other attacks, it manages to kill one of the fey-orcs.

Syr keeps an eye on the opponents below the tower but is too quick for any of them to shoot at him.

Oni begins calling up another foul creature to assist their battle. Meanwhile, his Sphere stays where it was.

Syr issues some commands and starts cranking back on the catapult.

Sergeant S4 manages to elude the grasping plants, gets back on his feet and moves forward.

Sergeant S5 gets to his feet and moves forward.

Sergeants S6 and S8 draw their scimitars and prepare to assault the wall, shouting encouragement to the fey-orcs all the while.

Sergeant S7 eludes the vines and moves forward.

Leader L1 remains entangled. Leader L2 remains free and moves ahead. Leaders L3 and L4 prepare to assault the wall.

Flyer Squad 3 remains where it is, looking for potential targets. Flyer Squad 4 is still stuck. Their leader wait expectantly for the wall assault.

Flyer FS3 begins making motions to cast a spell. In response, Toros triggers his wand, sending three Magic Missile darts at S3. The spell strikes home and visibly hurts the little fey-kobold. The other two missiles start towards S4 and then fall harmlessly to the grass within 10' of the liontaur. As a result of his wounds, fey-kobold FS2 cannot complete its spell. Instead, it runs towards it's fellows assaulting the west tower.

Toros then retreats behind the catapult.
DM Note -- Multiple targets of a Magic Missile spell must be within 15' of one another.

Flyer FS4 makes similar motions and manages to complete the spell. It fades from sight.

Oni takes control of the sphere and moves it rolling on the ground toward the right. It will impact that squad there.

When Drag appears, Oni yells his name, and then gives a few barks and a growl, telling the wolf to take out as many as possible. To feed when the battle is finished.

With little time left in this round, he will turn on Appollo, "Sir Appollo, the west twoer is being assaulted much heavier than ours, should you and I move more towards that direction? I believe it to be best." Oni then starts walking down the walkway to the west tower.

"Going over the wall!" Xenia shouts. "Garrett," the rogue calls down the wall to the Cleric, "give 'em another push. Then I'll try and keep 'em from putting the ladder up again."

A cork stopper goes flying with a flick of her thumb, and the dark rogue tips up the potion. She feels a lift in her toes, and dives over the bastion. As she jets to the east and drops lower toward the fey orcs and their ladder, she draws the spike chain. Then, gathering the shadow of the wall to her, she fades into darkness.

Unfazed by the chaos goin on around him, the elf watches as several group members take the battle to the enemy. Thinking to himself, 'just one more shot' he assists the catapult team.

Instead of trying to make one last shot with the center catapult, Toros rushes to help Garrett to push the ladder up again (which this turn depends on Garrett's roll):

If the Protector can not do so, he will use the scroll he has prepared, knowing that the fey-orcs will climb the ladder soon. When any of them attemps to climb the ladder and comes to the 10 ft of Toros, who waits at the other side of the ladder - next to Garrett, a cone of searing flame shoots from the taur's fingertips going on the line of the ladder. (Burning hands, 15 ft range, 4 hp damage, hoping also the ladder catches fire!!)

If Garrett succeeds in pushing the ladder back for this round without Toros's help, then Toros will use his wand one more time to shoot at the spellcaster 3 (16 hp damage) and hide again, coming to front one more time.

And, even if the protector may need his assistance for keeping the ladder away this round, unfortunately the liontaur cannot give a hand to Garrett to push the ladder, as his two hands are full with wand and stuff. (aid another check, 3<10, failed.))

Garrett sees that they have more guys on the ladder, and the likelihood of him pushing it off is quite a bit less.

He calls over to Toros. "I'm going down, blow the ladder if you can, I'm going to try and take these guys out before they get a chance to climb it. One or two may get up, so you can send them back down the hard way."

Garrett takes his full move down to the ground (at a X4 run if necessary) using airwalk. He is going to try and move down so that he is positioned near the wall and the point where the bad guys will be going up the ladder, AE105 looks like a good spot.

Garretts spiritual weapon beats on the sorcerer once again, likely it's final target since it ends after next round, and Garrett will likely be too busy to send it to a new target. Attack1: ac19, 7hp damage. Attack2: ac28(threat)18 to confirm. Damage: 11 or 18(crit).

The celestial bear continues his attacks on the orcs, starting with any that are wounded and trying to kill them before moving on to the next. Claw1: 22ac, 9hp damage. Claw2: 28ac, 9hp damage. Bite1: 8ac(miss)

Oni sends his Flaming Sphere rolling across to strike Squad 4 and he has the satisfaction of seeing one member of that squad go down in flames.

Then, he summons Drag, a fiendish dire wolf into the battle. The wolf immediately attacks one of the fey-kobolds in front of the tower. It hits the poor creature and kills it quickly. Even though it could still move, it remains where it is.
Fiendish dire wolf: HP: 48/48, spd 50, AC 14, attacks: bite +11 (1d8+10), 10' space, Darkvision 60'; Damage Reduction 5/magic; Resistance 5 to cold, acid and electricity; Spell Resistance 11; and, Smite Good +6.

Oni then moves over towards the east tower.
You still have a move and standard action, so a double move takes you to midway across the wall.

Appolo sees Oni move to the other tower and shouts for him to come back.

Xenia pops a potion of Flying, then rolls over the wall. As she flies downward, she draws her newly magicked spiked chain and tries to hide in the shadows of the wall while waiting for opponents to move.

Syr keeps cranking with the students.

Garrett steps over the wall and begins air walking to the ground. When he steps clear of the protection of the wall, the portion of Flyer Squad 3 that is close fire their slings at him. Despite several good shots, only one of the fey-kobolds is able to hit the Protector.

The Protector makes his way to his desired point. Meanwhile, his Spiritual Longsword to keep hitting the fey-kobold spellcaster. It kills the poor creature. The celestial bear also keeps attacking the fey-orcs at the west tower. Despite two solid hits, the bear is unable to get past whatever unnatural protection the creatures have.

Toros moves over to assist Garrett in defending the wall. He prepares a scroll for when the fey-orcs start climbing the ladder.

Flyer Squad 1 sees one of their members go down to the newly summoned wolf but they keep assisting their bigger companions.

The remaining fey-orcs of Squad 1 chop at the celestial bear and finally manage to drop it. The other two surviving fey-orcs prepare to lift the ladder up next round.

Fey-orc Squad 2 continues to evade the Entangle spell and move out of its area.

Fey-orc Squads 3 and 4 cannot break free and remain on the ground.

Fey-orc Squad 6 starts climbing the ladder. Once they start moving, Xenia starts swinging her chain with deadly accuracy. The first two fey-orcs are dropped by Xenia's spiked chain soon after they start climbing. The rogue misses the third fey-orc and it climbs up the ladder. Toros triggers his scroll then, burning the fey-orc but it keeps climbing to the top of the ladder. The fourth and fifth fey-orc is also dropped. Another fey-orc scrambles up the ladder after Xenia has exhausted her swings.
Dm Note -- I'm going to rule that clinging to a ladder with one or both hands prevents dodging, etc. so they are vulnerable to sneak attack damage.

Fey-orc Squad 7 and 8 break free but cannot move.

Sergeants S1 and S3 break free but cannot move.

Sergeant S2 becomes entangled.

Sergeants S4 and S7 continue to remain free and move

Sergeant S5 charges Garrett, but can't manage to hit the cleric.

Sergeants S6 and S8 also climb the ladder.

Leader L1 breaks free. Leader L2 remains free and moves out of the Entangle spell. Leader L3 takes a 5' step and attacks Garrett, trying to keep the Protector from dislodging the ladder, but doesn't do more than occupy the cleric's attention.

Leader L4 stays where he is, directing the squad's and sergeants' assault on the wall.

Flyer Squad 3 starts firing their slings at Xenia, bobbing like a trial balloon over the melee. Only two of the fey-kobolds hit the rogue, but their sling bullets do smart.

Framity Jam Jammy! Those sling bullets sting. Xenia growls deep in her throat and longs to fly out over those pesky Flappy guys. She'd make short work of them with the chain.

Gotta keep these guys from getting up on the wall, though. Getting to be hand to hand fighting. Then, the rogue gets an idea. They can't get on the wall, if the top climber gets stopped. Now can they? And can the top guy force his way over the wall ... if he don't got a weapon? hehe

"TOROS! Hold the guy at the top!" Her spiked chain flicks upward at the critter's sword *K-Ting!* The chain strikes hard numbing the hand and ripping the weapon away.

Arching her back, she flies out away from the wall, ten feet over the heads of the Fey-orc, and the Fey-Flappy, she clothes herself in the darkness of their shadows and disappears. Like a bolt on ricochet, she banks at 90 degrees, turning back around to lurk by the ladder again. The sling wielding flappers are still out there. But we gotta keep these guys from getting up the ladder. Maybe if she stays on the west side, she can use the guys on the ladder themselves for cover.

Toros gets another scroll and casts his spell on the guy at the top. (Cast "Command" on the third fey orc climbing the ladder, DC 14) Hoping that his mind-effecting spell would work, the liontaur gives a one-word command to the fey-orc: "Sit!" If his spell will not work, Toros will be waiting to hold the fey-orc and his followers at the top with his bare paws and right hand. (AC for this round: 19 with dodge and defensive fighting, also rolled three AoOs in case needed, 28, 19 and 14 ( damage 9, 13, 14 hp) with combat reflexes and weapon finesse)

Oni likes this view of the field of battle much more. He waves the okay signal to Appollo, no reason to upset the man. In the distance he can see his flaming ball. There is a lone figure just behind the nearest group of soldiers. Figuring it must be a spell user, or a leader oni focuses his attention, moving the sphere towards the lone figure. Since the ball of flame is coming from behind, perhaps the beasty would not notice.

Xenia whips her chain at the fey-orc atop the ladder, ripping the falchion from his grasp. The weapon tumbles to the ground 20' below. Then she flies out and around, hiding again in the moonlit shadows of the fey-creatures. Then she lurks, ready to attack any when they move.

Syr keeps cranking on the catapult and encourages the students to keep up the good work.

Toros pulls another scroll from his pouch and reads it, shouting at the fey-orc atop the ladder to "Sit!". The fey-orc looks at him quizzically but does not sit.
The fey-orc does not speak or understand Common or any other language that you speak.

Garrett casts a spell, successfully concentrating to prevent any attacks while doing so. He grows in size and moves over slightly to accommodate his increased size.

Oni directs his Flaming Sphere towards one of the squad sergeants. Sergeant S2 cannot avoid the Sphere and is burned.

Meanwhile, his summoned fiendish dire wolf kills another of the fey-kobolds.
Drag hits AC 30, 14 damage vs. fey-kobold 1-2

Appolo doesn't like seeing any of his fellows going over the wall, but he stays in place and cranks the catapult.

Sergeants S6 and S8 are the next two fey-orcs on the ladder. Both attempt to climb up and Xenia hits both of them. However, her weapon is not doing full damage against these creatures. Only one of them falls from the ladder.

Sergeant S7 advances towards the wall.

Leader L1 remains free and advances.

Leader L2 advances and halts just out of Garrett's reach.

Leader L3 takes a 5' step and attacks Garrett. If he makes it there, the fey-orc's scimitar nearly slides between two segments of Garrett's armor.

Leader L4 moves towards the ladder, attracting an attack from Xenia. Her chain hits but does not stop the fey-orc which makes it nearly to the top of the ladder.

Flyer Squad 3 continues to snipe at the flying Xenia, exposed again after attacking the advancing fey-orcs. The flyers then move forward, the first one drawing Xenia's final attack. Two others, though, make it onto the ladder after slipping between the fey-orcs holding it.

The sling stones take their toll on the rogue.

Garrett! Xenia shouts. Gonna leave the ladder to you. Gotta take out those fliers.

The rogue spins in mid-air, bringing the length of chain out and around, arcing toward a vulnerable spot on the upper-most guy on the ladder.

Without looking to see the results of the damage, Xenia turns her roll into momentum, arcing out over the heads of the troops below, stealing their shadows, she fades to an indistinct darkness. She picks a spot just over the top of the fliers. Lets just see them fire slings at anyone now.

Knowing his ball of flame would end quickly, he raises about ten feet off the ground and brings it falling back on the same foe.(4dam)

Taking a glance to his left he ses Drag is taking care of business, as he knew he would. Turning his attention back in front of him he sees two lone figures. Knowing these to be leader types, he decides to cast a spell that can attack both at the same time. Winding his right arm in an arc, he points the palm of his hand towards the two.

If Xenia drops the fey-orc at the top that Toros is dealing, the liontuar will use his wand to attack the front member of the squad 2, as soon as they pass the wind barrier.

18 hp damage (would this be enough for two?). Also, in this case Toros will not be on total defense so the new defensive AC will be 31, not 34.

Seeing the ladder drop on the side of the wall the elf leaves the catapult, "Fire this thing quickly before those squads break free! After that it's time to defend the wall." Picking up a polearm he easily pushes (str 24) the ladder back to the ground.

Xenia flits about leaving destruction in her wake. First, she attacks the fey-orc at the top of the ladder but cannot make it fall.

Oni attempts to burn the lone fey-orc again but this time it nimbly dodges the sphere. He fires two Scorching Rays at the fey-orcs in front of him.

Toros goes turtle and concentrates on being a roadblock in the advance of the fey-orcs from the ladder.

Garrett walloped the fey-orc that got too close to him last turn. He keeps up the beating, hit one of the poor creatures in front of him quite badly and then he gets closer to the ladder.

Syr easily pushes the ladder away from the tower and encourages the students to fire next round.

While Appolo ponders what to do, Clarice steps forward and pushes the ladder away from the wall.

Oni throws down his rod as the horribly burned fey-orc clambers onto the wall beside him. The rod starts writhing and transforming into a giant constrictor snake. Then Oni mutters the words and makes the gestures to turn himself invisible. Fortunately for him, the crenellation provides cover and prevents the fey-orc from making an AoO.
Transformation to the snake requires a full round.

The summoned wolf attacks again this round, killing another of the fey-kobolds.

Appolo easily pushes the ladder back again. Eventually, he hopes, the fey-orcs will tire of this game.

Toros tries to push the ladder back. With the added weight of the two fey-orcs and fey-kobolds, it's very difficult and he is not able to do so. The two fey-orcs on the wall swing their horns or weapon at the liontaur but are unable to hit him.

Garrett wallops fey-orc L2. He keeps up the beating on the fey-orcs, hitting with both of his attacks. He drops one of the creatures in front of him and then steps towards the ladder.
Please make a Reflex save vs DC 15 every round that you are standing on the Grease spell. Failing means that Garrett falls. Make a DC 10 Balance check to move when on the Grease, failing that requires a DC 15 Reflex save to prevent falling.

Xenia snakes out her chain towards the fey-orc crawling up the wall. It doesn't hurt the fey-orc as badly as it should have, but nearly drops the creature. Then she loops back and over the wall again, waiting for targets to appear.

Syr pushes the ladder off the wall and instructs the students to fire the catapult. At his words, the students fire off the catapult before the last fey-orc squads are too close to hit. They have the satisfaction of knocking Squads 3 and 4 down and seeing some of them get up slowly.

Sergeant S1 moves forward and rejoins his squad. Sergeants S2 and S3 move closer to the wall.

Sergeant S4 steps forward 5', then starts trying to locate the mage that he saw go invisible. He listens but cannot find Oni. Then he gropes for the mage, successfully touching him. Knowing what square Oni is hiding, he swings his falchion and manages to hit the mage.

Oni forgto how long it took for the sake to appear, or better put, he didnt know he was this close totrouble. The beast hits him though hes invisible. He can se the beast searching for him every where, it was a lucky hit. He tries to move to his right, but steps on something drawing the attention of the beast. Its a forgone conclusion he would get smacke again, if his protector snake did not hit with its own attack. Such was thefate in battle.

Appolo orders Clarice to fire the catapult agian and reload.He continues to watch and listen to the battle as pushes the ladder back down once agian.he then redies his bow. Figuring Oni is going to need some support soon.He doesn't like what he sees the enemy is going to just overwhelm them with superior numbers.He hopes those potential reinforcements do arrive.

Garrett is going to use his free 5' to simply step up in the air 2 inches, right where he is at. Due to the Airwalk, he should just be able to step off the ground, and no longer be subject to the effects of the grease.(Just in case I need the reflex save to step off the grease into the air: Reflex save:21)

(Since there is no map, I'll go by the previous one. Since I moved 5' closer to the ladder last time, by my calculation I am now 10' away from the ladder. Since I have a 10' reach, I should be able to swing at the ladder to try and destroy it.)

If Garrett can swing at the ladder, he is going to, with both attacks. If it's destroyed after the first attack, then he'll take swing two at S5 who is right in front of him. If he can't swing at the ladder, then swings start at S5 and then go to L2 when he is dead.(hope that all made sense.)

Thanks Xenia! I think I might have misinterpreted the spell description. John, if it would be possible to grease the whole ladder, considering the range of the spell and other reqýirements, please change my post as to "grease" the ladder not specific squares.

Oni steps away from the fey-orc that recently cut him, trying and failing to be quiet while doing so. Then he starts gesturing and chanting to call up another summoned creature.

The dire wolf snaps at another of the fey-kobolds, killing another of the miserable creatures. Then Drag steps 5' closer to the fey-orcs holding the ladder.
Drag hits AC 19, 18 damage

Meanwhile, the giant constrictor snake tries to attack the fey-orc that hurt its master. Its jaws open wide and it nearly bites the fey-orc in two. Then it drops the dying thing and stands ready to guard its master once more.
Snake hits AC 30, 16 damage

Appolo flings the ladder back in the faces of the fey-orcs. Hopefully that summoned creature will keep them from setting it up again. After doing this, he can hear the sound of the door at the base of the tower being opened.

When Appolo tells her to fire the catapult, Clarice responds, "Sir, they're all too close to fire at. Unless I swing it all the way around to fire over near the other tower."

Syr can't manage to push the ladder away. He's preparing to meet fey-orcs and other things swarming up the ladder.

Garrett swings his sword at the targets in front of him. His first swing removes the annoying fey-orc that is trying to block him. The second hits the ladder and makes a significant impact on the near side. It's barely holding, though.

Toros makes his swing at the near fey-orc and his claws do far less damage than they should have. The liontaur moves towards the recently summoned snake, allowing both of the fey-orcs on the wall a chance to swing at his back. He pulls the scroll from his pouch as he moves and reads it, coating the ladder held by Squad 2 with a thin layer of Grease. The only fey-orc to fall from the ladder is the bottom one.

At the next ladder, the fey-orcs caught on the ladder attempt to carefully balance. The topmost two fey-orcs balance successfully and step off onto the top of the wall. The third one carefully climbs upward. The fey-orc that fell from the ladder attempts to try it again and successfully mounts the ladder partway. Sergeant S2 beside the squad gets a grip on the ladder but then falls off.

Fey-orc Squad 7 move forward but the back end of the squad and their ladder become Entangled.


At the east tower, members of Fey-orc Squad 8 start to climb the ladder. Next round they could be clambering onto the top of the tower.

Hoping that Wardd's luck will be still with him Toros continues to defend the top of the ladder(AC, 28), moving 5'-10' (depending on the movement of Oni and the snake) away from Fey-orc 6-7 and L4.

Meanwhile, the Taur's intelligent item outlines with a pale faery glow a 5-ft radius around the open door of the West Tower, where some sounds of chanting comes from.

If this faerie fire makes the invisible spellcaster visible Toros will strike the mage with his wand and magic missiles once more (total damage 16 hp). If he cannot identify the spellcaster, the missiles will target the ones attacking his own self (first two missiles with 7 hp damage to Fey orc 6-7 and last three missiles with 9 hp damage to L4)

Prayer: +1 to att/dam/skills/saves for us, -1 for them. All in 40' burst at time of casting were affected. 2 rounds remaining.
Righteous Might(+8str, +4con, +4 nat armor,-1ac, DR 5/evil, 10' reach, -1 att) 5 rounds remaining.

AoO from last round: AC34(threat)ac25 to confirm, hit. Damage: 43hp.

Garrett quickly assesses the situation in his head, and comes to the conclusion that there are just too many of them. "The best offense is a good defense." He thinks to himself as swing after swing ricochet off his armor and shield.

Garrett would smack himself on the forehead if he could, but he's much too busy, as it suddenly hits him that his opponents are fey. "You can turn fey, idiot" he thinks to himself.

Garrett focuses his holy energy and unleashes it upon the fey to his east.(thanks for the tip)

Turning check: can effect a 10HD creature or less.
Turning Damage: Garrett turns 17 HD worth of fey.

Garrett then does a quick look around for the little pest shooting all the magic missiles at him. Hopefully he just got turned.

Facing off against a Fey Orc guy. Xenia's lip curls into a sneer. Her eyes lift for a brief moment to take in the scene down the wall. This ladder's had it. But there's another one up. And nobody's there to stop 'em coming up!!!

"I'll get you later," the dark rogue spits. Then she lets herself fall backward into a quick summersault and catches up on the balls of her feet, springing into the air. Quickly, she gathers the darkness to her and zips down the length of the wall, over the heads of the Fey Orc and Little Fey Lizard guys.

With her length of chain ready, Xenia brakes at the top of the greased ladder. C'mon up, you. C'mon up and let me drop you.

Oni directs his friend and ally the snake, to move along the walkway to the left. One he arrives at X107, to attack the orcs who have climbed the ladder, and who are still coming up the laddr. Babu his summoned devil, begins to appear out of the nothingness, and Oni places him next to Garrett. "Babu attack the big one!!" Oni yelss at the ally.

Having sent his orders, he then casts a detect magic spell, and begins to search the dead orc for magic items. The beast had made it ofer the wall with no problems, so magic must have been in play.

Appolo directs Bertram adn Clarice to aim the catapult to fir down the wall in front of the other tower.Aiming for Squad 8 directly infront of the tower..Appolo chacks the door leading down and finds it blacked.He then takes out his bow and walks to the parapit locates one of the orcs trying to put the ladder up and fires his bow.

Toros wants to hold his actions until his companions have moved. While he is waiting, however, his shield acts and casts Faerie Fire targeted in front of the open door to the west tower. The purple glowing figure of a winged kobold is visible afterwards.

Garrett swings on one of the fey-orcs attacking him, chopping into two parts. Then he suddenly remembers that he can turn fey creatures, slapping himself in exasperation. He gips his holy symbol and presents it to the fey-orcs surrounding him. He sees many of the creatures surrounding him slump to the ground as if whatever animated them had fled. The fey-orc Leader L2 and fey-kobold Leader L4 run away at their maximum possible speed. The Protector looks around for the pesky fey-kobold spellcaster and sees him smirking nearby.
Garrett -- AoO vs the fleeing L2, AC 17

Xenia tumbles away from the fey-orc facing her and then flys up and over her companions and opponents clogging the walkway. She finishes her flight above the top of the second ladder, ready to strike any opponent so unwary as to move beneath her.

Syr and the student are unable to topple the ladder with the added weight of the four fey-orcs on it. They prepare themselves to repel the attackers.

Oni directs his snake to attack the two fey-orcs to the west. He has to move out of the way himself to allow the snake to move forward. He directs his summoning spell to bring the bearded devil and place it close to Garrett on the ground below. Then he casts Detect Magic to examine the dead fey-orc at his feet.

The snake whips it's head forward to bite one of the two fey-orcs on the wall but misses.

The dire wolf bites one of the fey-orcs holding the ladder, sinking its teeth into the creature's tough hide. Then Drag twists himself and throws the fe-orc to the ground. .

The newly summoned bearded devil arrives and wonders at the command from its master. The only "big one" here is Garrett and he thought that was one of his master's allies. Instead, it moves to attack the fey-kobold sorcerer S4 but doesn't hit.

Appolo directs the students to target the fey-orcs clustered at the base of the east tower. Clarice instead heaves on the ladder and topples it again. Bertram heaves and grunts to turn the catapult.

Appolo examines the ladder down and finds it blocked. Then he picks up a bow and fires it at a fey-orc down below and hits it squarely. The fey-orcs tough hide seems to have stopped the arrow before it hit anything vital.

Toros sees that Oni and the snake have not moved enough for him to retreat from the two fey-orcs. He aims his wand at the glowing fey-kobold and inflicts enough damage to kill the poor thing.

Fey-orc Squad 1 wants to keep playing the ladder game with Appolo, but one of their squad is laying on the ground and three fey-orcs aren't enough to lift the heavy ladder and put it into place. Their fallen comrade attempts to stand but is attacked by the summoned wolf. At the end of the round, the ladder has not been raised.

The ladder is no longer affected by the Grease spell so the two fey-orcs on the ladder scramble up to the wall. Out of nowhere, a spiked chain hits both of them and they fall dead to the ground below. The remainder of the squad holds the ladder. Sergeants S2 and S3 also attempt to mount the ladder. Xenia hits S2 but cannot drop him. S3 is still too far away to be attacked.

Squad 3 advances up to the wall, perhaps not realizing that there is a giant snake awaiting them atop it.

The two fey-kobold flyers move aside and fire their slings at Garrett. The devil makes an attack against one of them when it moves.

Down below, Squad 7 break loose from the Entangle spell but cannot move forward. Flyer Squad 3 advances a bit but is blocked by the other fey-creatures. The other portion of Flyer Squad 3 and their leader wait for a ladder to become available.

At the east tower, two fey-orcs step onto the top of the tower. The first one swings at Syr and misses. The second attempts to hit Student D and misses horribly. The rest of the squad on the ladder move upwards but their companions down below get stuck in the Entangle spell again.

"Hey, Garret, Juggernaut Boy," Xenia looks down over the lip of the wall at the towering Protector, "c'mon over here and take out this ladder. Without the ladders, they just so many tourists watching from outside the wall."

Alright, a big snake is good. Hope he can hold the ladder. Cause looks like Syr needs help over there.

"Oni Magic Guy, I'm gonna leave this ladder to your Snake." Her chain strikes out at the nearer of the two orkies, rightfully more concerned with the giant snake than with the slim hovering half-drow girl. His mistake. She nails him right in the kidneys with the spiky chain. That one's gotta hurt.

Then Xenia jets back along the wall, pulling the shadows around her again. Gotta get me more protection if I'm gonna go out there over the wall again. She considers one of the potions in her bag. If only she had the time to sit still for one moment. Just one moment.

The dark rogue looks down from her new hiding spot, just over the group Wall Infiltrators. hehe Just you move somewhere. Just try it.

Stepping back to the right behind the catapult Toros reaches his rust bag and tosses a small, fuzzy ball to AC107. The big taur does not have many places to move now but hopefully his boar (d100, 71) will do the trick; and he orders his companion to defend for himself.

DM Question - Do you mean to move 5' back and then use the item? This way, no AoO possible for either action.

Or Move to behind the catapult (AC109-AD110)? There would be one AoO from each fey-orc for moving this far because you're moving through threatened squares.

Xenia makes a sneak attack against the back of one of the nearby fey-orcs, hitting deeply enough to penetrate the creature's tough hide and kill it. Then she flies over and around the fighting on the wall to hover over the fey-kobolds, waiting for them to move.

Toros moves away from the wall slightly then dips his hand into a bag at his side. He flicks a ball of fluff to the ground and a boar springs up to protect him. As Toros instructs it, the boar does nothing but protect itself this round.

Garrett swings as the fey-orc leader runs away from the might of ... whatever deity is answering Garrett's calls. He misses the fey-orc however. The Protector makes another Turning attempt, destroying even more of the fey-creatures. The fey-kobold sorcerer turns and runs, allowing the devil a chance to hit him again. The devil's glaive bits deep into the fey-kobolds back but doesn't drop it. Garrett looks down at the ladder at his feet and sees that it is barely serviceable (less than 5 hps remaining).

Appolo shouts some instructions but he is uncertain whether anyone is paying attention to tactics. He hits the same fey-orc again but it seems the creature is unaffected. The students fire the catapult and knock the squad attacking the east tower down including sweeping the ladder from the wall and plunging the two fey-orcs on the ladder to the ground. The fey-orcs are all stirring, however.

Syr tries to push the ladder down once again but is unable to budge it. He now decides to defend himself from the fey-orc on top of the tower. Dobbin swings a halberd at the fey-orc and connects but is unable to get past it's tough hide.
Dobbin hits AC 18, 8 damage

Oni keeps concentrating on the fallen fey-orc.

The summoned dire wolf again attacks the fey-orc on the ground, nearly killing it and keeping it on the ground.

Fey-orc Squad 8 start the business of getting to their feet and picking up the ladder. The two members on top of the wall move and continue to attack.

The fey-kobolds on the wall prepare to glide down into the centre of the compound. As they do so, a shadow whips a chain at them. The first two creatures fall to Xenia's chain but the third escapes unscathed and it launches itself from the wall, gliding down towards the centre of the compound. As Xenia watches it escape, she sees a slight figure approach from the west wall. The person sees the fey-kobold and makes some gestures. Three balls of magical energy strike the fey-kobold and it drops.

"Grrrr ... " The slim dark rogue growls a bit down in her through and shoot a look in Appolo's direction, Appolo upon the wall.

"Take out the ladder?!?!? With what?" she yells back. But he's right. They got no big area spells left. Fram! Shoulda saved those fireballs. But who knew? Who ever knows?

But this means is they gotta get out and over the walls. Cut 'em up close and dirty. And thats gonna mean lots of little flappies taking pot shots at her again.

So be it.

Xenia drifts away from the hacking little fey-orcs below, and pulls a vial from her haversack. It's the first thing on top. With a flick of her thumb the cork goes flying, and she downs it in one gulp. And invisible shield comes up to protect her.

Look out, here I come.

Toros takes one more step back, 5' to the line 110. His boar follows him and also takes a 5' step, coming to the place he has left (AC108), and standing between the Taur and L4 for defending Toros. Then Toros pulls another scroll to use...

Xenia floats away from the fey-orcs and retreats into the shadows. She then retrieves a potion from her pouch and downs it in preparation for joining the melee below. But she remains ready to attack anyone who moves too close.

Toros on the wall and directs his boar to protect him. He fires his wand at one of the fey-orcs atop the east tower and sees it fall to the ground far below. He then pulls a scroll from his pouch and the fey-orc swings in response but misses the liontaur.
L4 misses AC 15

Syr doesn't need to topple the ladder this turn so he attacks the nearby fey-orc. Only his first, very accurate strike is able to get past the creature's tough hide.

Garrett steps over 5' and chops at the ladder at his feet, destroying it. Then he swings at one of the fey-orcs in the nearby Squad 7, dropping the creature.

Oni stops contemplating the dead fey-orc at his feet and looks around.

Fey-orc Squad 3 continue to hold the ladder. The topmost fey-orc steps onto the wall and cannot move because of the snake. It swings its falchion at the snakes coils and misses. The other fey-orcs shuffle up the ladder and another one joins them.

(John, ýn the map, could you please place the boar to square AC rather than AD, as I have stated in my previous post. But if it would create trouble do not bother...)

The summoned Boar continues to block the attacks and defend the Taur, or at least Toros hopes like that. (AC Boar, 20; Toros, 27) Meanwhile the liontaur moves to the left as much as necessary to "grease" the ladder that Squad 2 is holding, again.

(About the movement please let me know if 5' step would be enough or not in order to cast the spell. If a free 5' step would be enough Toros would get another scroll as his move action. Appolo continues to watch the battle.Seeing the orc enter the East tower,he agians signals Syr to watch out that the enemy is coming up behind him.He signals Syr that an Orc has entered the tower.He then fires his bow three more times at the orc he previously wounded.Hitting twice.

He then looks around for Xenia"Xenia light your fires.Ignite the trap."Then signals Garrett"Activate your sleep spell now!!"

Appolo then orders XClarice and Bertram to reload and fire the catapult agian as fast as possible at the same spot.

OOC:Shouldn't Garrett's sleep spell cover half the wall and already be active.?

From just over the battlement, Garrett's giant head moves into sight. Looks like Syr's got things under control too. It's the other side that's gone bad. Again.

"Toros, Garrett's down below, but we need someone to stop 'em coming up this ladder over here. I'm the only one who's free to move around and cover the other side. Can you make it around this guy here?" She points to the fey-orc leader and then takes a spang at him. It's a good hit. The rogue wills it to be a good hit. But that Orkie's a tough bugger. "Toros, can you do it?"

The rogue doesn't stick around for an answer. She can't. There's Flappies already up on the wall just waiting to fly in. She zips back across the wall, gathering all the shadows to her, until, pulling up just over the group of unsuspecting fliers she waits for them to make an unwise move.

Also, according to the archives, the oil should be lined up along Row 104 from X to AE.

Toros squeezes between the catapult and the ledge and then tiptoes behind the snake in order to get close enough to the ladder being used by Squad 2. The fey-orc swing at him and misses. He reads a scroll and Greases the ladder. Only one of the four fey-kobolds on the ladder looses its grip and falls from the ladder. However it snaps its wings open quickly enough and glides away.
You had to move over 5' to get within range.
L4 misses AC 18


Garrett steps closer to Squad 7 and hits the ladder twice, breaking it. Two fey-orcs tumble from the ladder when it breaks.

Appolo shouts some more instructions to his companions. Then he fires his bow at the fey-orc below with exactly the same result -- the arrows stick into the creature's thick hide but appear to do no real damage.
DM Info -- The Symbol of Sleep spell could not be cast because Garrett hadn't either bought the material components or had enough cash on hand.
The fey-orcs have DR 10/cold iron so the arrows can only harm them on critical hits.


Xenia shouts to Toros and then makes a swing at the fey-orc Leader L4. She hits and wounds the creature. Then she flies up and over the wall preparing to attack the fey-kobolds from concealment.
DM Info -- I understood that the buried oil flasks need to be ignited somehow. Please correct me if I am incorrect.

Syr bends down to pick up the polearm that he had dropped. The fey-orc swings at him but misses. He easily tosses the ladder back down to the ground.

Oni starts conjuring up another devil. As he does so, the summoned fiendish dire wolf returns to wherever it came from.

One of the fey-orcs in front of the first devil drops from the cuts inflicted by the devil's glaive. The devil steps back from the fey-orc and swings again, hitting the fey-orc with both swings and dropping the creature.

The snake squeezes the fey-orc that it had previously grabbed.

Flyer Squad 1 waits for a ladder to go up. The remaining fey-orcs from Squad 1 and their Sergeant S1 grab the ladder and prepare to set it up next round.

Squad 2 keeps holding the greasy ladder although it wobbles a little.

The fey-kobolds currently on the ladder try to move gingerly upwards. Each of them slowly move upwards, the top one stepping onto the top of the wall and sliding ahead until a chain comes out of the shadows to rip its life away. The next one reaches the top of the wall and stops.

The four fey-kobolds on top of the wall prepare to fire their slings at the snake but the silent chain wielded by Xenia kills each of them.

Squad 3 keeps holding the ladder. The fey-orc on the wall hits the snake and hurts it quite badly.

"Huh?" The dark rogue looks back into the courtyard. Didn't expect to hear anything from that direction.

"Help? Yeah. If you can spare yourself from defending the other walls. Yeah, help would be great!"

She reaches behind to the haversack on her back. Alright Lets light up some ground. Her hand comes back with an alchemist's fire.

Xenia shoots out over the crenalated battlements, and then bends her body in a dive. Pulling up over the orcs at the bottom of the ladder, she simply releases the flask as she flies by overhead. She bends her body into a double bank as she turns around, returning cloaked in darkness to await more unsuspecting passers by.

Yup, you're right. The trap needs to be lit. And there's an alchemist's fire sitting on the battlements with on one to use it for just that reason. But, Xenia has four more. Time to use them.
To recap, there are 10 flasks of oil placed at 4 foot intervals so that their areas overlap. Igniting one, should ignite the entire row.

"Thanks, Xenia! Don't worry and do what you need to do over there! And it seems we have some additional assistance!" Toros yells to Xenia, and turns to the direction of the new slim student. He nodes with appreciation in response to the student's offer for help.

Toros then activates his wand to strike L4 and misssiles targets the fey-orc, doing 17 hp damage. The boar continues to defend / guard (AC 20), while Toros takes a 5' to the right and retrieves his healing wand (AC 27).

Dropping the polearm once again, he explains to the students, "C'mon take this orc out. I'll dislodge the ladder next turn." Making a full attack (Attack 13,18, 18 damage 13,14 -ooc: hard to believe I've been using the wrong damage die this whole time- it's amazing what getting my character sheet back sheds light on).

Xenia reaches into her pack for a flask and then flies out and over the wall. When she flies over the line of prepared oil flasks, she drops the alchemist fire and moves quickly to avoid the resulting fire. Then she loops around to finish next to where she dropped the alchemist fire where she waits for any creature to make an unwary move.

Toroas fires his Wand of Magic Missiles at the Leader L4 who just hit Toros' pet boar. The missiles strike the creature and it limply falls from the wall into the courtyard below. Then the liontaur shifts over to pick up his healing stick.

Garrett reacts when the fey-orcs move to surround him and cleaves the first one that moved into two twitching pieces. He rethinks stepping into the fiery line that Xenia just created. So, standing where he is, the Protector calls upon the power of ... whoever is answering his calls ... to destroy whatever is animating these fey-creatures. He turns one of the fey-kobold Leaders and destroys many other fey-creatures.

Appolo directs the two students to keep preparing the catapult for another shot. The he hurriedly rigs a rope and slides down the southwest corner of the tower, out of the sight of the fey-kobolds.

Oni completes the summoning spell and directs his new servant to attack the ladders. After completing the spell, Oni chooses to do nothing.

The first devil steps towards Flyer Squad 3 and swings it's glaive. The first stroke nearly cuts a fey-kobold in two but the second goes wide.

The snake squeezes the fey-orc that is in its coils again, nearly crushing it this time.

The devil becomes frenzied and swings his left hand towards the ladder held by Squad 2 and his right at the one held by Squad 3. His claws bite into the ladders and take some chips from them.

Atop the wall, one fey-kobold moves from the shelter of the crenellations and a second fey-kobold steps from the top of the ladder. Each whirls their sling and fires at the snake. Only the first hits the snake.

"WOOOOOOOO!!!" the dark rogue shouts out, the drow half of her nature rising up within her. She slams the chain wildly down onto the head of the nearest Orc. "WRECK THEM LADDERS, DEMON BOY!!!"

Garrett, knowing he is about out of time on his righteous might spell decides to try and get one last big hit in, and take out squad eights ladder with one shot, hopefully.

Looking out towards Babu, Oni can see there is no more enemies within reach. "Babu, come this way, attack the group to the west."

Seeing the other devil do as he said, but not what he meant, Oni redirects the devil. "Jockal attack the beasts, spread their blodd over the field!!1"

Hoping the devil would attack, he then turns his attention to his comapnion the snake. It seemed somehow some of his wounds had been healed. Reaching down he touches the sanke and casts mage armor upon him, surrounding it with a magical force.

Toros heals the snake with his wand and then retreats into the shadows. Before doing so he commands his boar to advance into a defensive position.

Xenia whips out her chain at a fey-orc and does little more than annoy it. Then she loops and dives in the air to hide once more in a position where she can attack more of these creatures. Two more of the fey-orcs are burned by the flaming oil and alchemist fire clinging to their hides and they drop.

Garrett charges ahead and swings his longsword at Squad 8's ladder. It snaps in two from the mighty blow after all the damage from being knocked down and catapult fire.

Appolo charges the leader of the nearest fey-kobold squad, landing solid hits from both of his swords. The creature is still standing, however, after the onslaught.
DM Note -- From your character sheet, the longsword should be d8+4 damage, the shortsword d6+4 plus 1d6 electricity damage

Clarice steps forward on the west tower, grabs a polearm and pushes the ladder down. Bertram begins the process of loading the catapult.

Syr looks over the edge at the fey-orcs clustered around their broken ladder. He looks over the ammunition stored on top of the tower. He and the students could heave the bags of rocks over the side but they wouldn't get the spread that the catapult shot does.

Oni provides some instructions to his summoned creatures. Babu stops pursuing the fey-kobolds in front of him and moves towards Squad 3. He hits once with his glaive and hits a fey-orc.

The fey-kobold on the ladder moves upwards but Xenia's chains cuts it down. The other fey-kobolds move towards and up the ladder. As they do so, Xenia's chain catches them unawares. Finally, there is only one fey-kobold left on the ground and three on the ladder. The fey-kobold 2-8 and Leader L2 on the ground fires their slings at the rogue but both miss.

Huh? The thin dark rogue does a double take when the demon leaves off wrecking the ladders and goes for the orcs instead. That's whack. He was doing a real number on those ladders. Demons are flighty.

Still, he's drawing attention. And that gives the girl rogue just the right opening for an attack of the vitals.

She whirls in mid-air. "THAT'S RIGHT! C'mon up the ladder!" She calls taunts. "You'll never know where I'll be at! C'mon up the ladder and die!!!"

Then she vanishes, rising up to the top of the battlements. Xenia lies in wait at the top of the ladders. Her arms shake as the rush of battle courses through her frail body. She grips the chain so tightly that it puts a tremble to her hands. But the power that comes, when her strokes fall right ... pitty the orc or kobold that catches it.

Becoming visible for the moment, Toros replies the student, "Can you deal with these two slingers (fey-kobolds from flyer squad 2) at the second catapult? What is your name, by the way? You can call me Toros!" Then the taur activates his wand again, all missiles to hit the S7. (19 hp damage, and please ignore the first 5d20 roll.) Then he dives forward into the shadows again, hiding, while opening a space for the student to pass, and moving next to the boar that continues to guard against the fey-orc.

Xenia cuts down one of the fey-orcs in Squad 2 from behind, using the distraction provided by the devil. Then she rises up, wrapping herself in shadows as she moves.
DM Note - I moved you to W103 as stated, but that didn't really jive with what you wrote.

Garrett's swings and hits one of the fey-orcs that attacked him but could not get past the creature's tough hide. Then the Righteous Might spell leaves him and he shrinks in stature and threat. He retreats from the fey-orcs threatening him and then heals himself.

Appolo swings at the fey-kobolds surrounding him, dropping two of the creatures.

Clarice easily throws down the ladder from Squad 1. The students fire the catapult at the concentration of fey-orcs in front of the east tower. One of the orcs is almost directly under the catapult shot and isn't moving afterwards. Most of the other fey-orcs are knocked down.

Syr and the students start preparing to throw rocks at the fey-orcs beneath the east tower.

Toros speaks with the student and then triggers his wand again. The Magic Missiles kill the fey-orc Sergeant S7. The student mutters something back about not wanting to stand so close to a monster, then the student moves.

The student tells Toros, "Sorry ... I have no spells left now and this Wand of Fireballs is only good for area attacks. I could try to take out the kobold-fey but I might get the snake, too."

Oni doesn't do anything. His summoned creatures continue to follow his last orders.

The first devil steps closer to the fey-orcs in Squad 3 and swings wide with its glaive.

The fey-kobolds in Flyer Squad 2 continue to move up onto the wall. The topmost one of the ladder is felled by Xenia's chain. The next fey-kobold makes it to the top of the ladder and steps onto the wall, eluding an attack from the snake. It moves out of the snake's reach and fires it's sling at the snake. The bullet hits the snake for some slight damage.

A moment to look out over the decimated ranks of the Fey army. They sure don't give up. The dark girl wonders what happened to the second wave that Alemi had mentioned. From her place on high, she peers out in the direction of the distant woods.

Then the Taur directs his wand this time to hit the fey-orc 3-0. (Again, sorry for a 5d20 by mistake, and 19 hp damage to the target.) Then the taur pulls another scroll.

Oni watches the battle from where he stands. At first he was sure they would be overun, but it seems they have a fighting chance now. Looking to his left he can see nothing but his snake. Sure hope Appollo is doing ok, but he has several students with him. Looking across the field of battle, he sees his devils having a hard time of it. Then his sight lands on Garrett. Lots of threm buggers on him. Then the monstrous form of Toros is in his vision.

Xenia swings her chain over the head of one of the fey-kobolds, then swoops up and over the wall. She hides and gets into position to deal with the fey-kobolds that are on the wall.

Toros suggests that the student eliminate some of the fey-kobolds near the west tower. Then he activates a wand and kills the fey-orc that has been pestering Oni's snake.

Garrett again calls upon whatever power is answering his prayers to repel or destroy the fey-creatures. He channels a huge amount of power and destroys nearly all of the creatures remaining in front of the wall. The Protector moves towards the ladder even though there is no longer any fey-creatures to mount it.

Appolo continues to cut down one of the fey-kobolds that surround him. He manages to cut down one of the creatures.

Oni directs a question to Toros, then realizes that Garrett needs no help in disposing of the fey-orcs.

The first devil runs towards the remaining fey-creatures in front of the wall and swings at the remaining Sergeant S1. Babu hits the fey-orc but cannot get past it's tough hide.
Devil1 hits AC 21, 6 damage

The snake slithers forward 5' and snaps its head towards one of the fey-kobolds. The strike is very accurate and the fey-kobold crumples.
Snake hits AC 33, 12 damage

The second devil also charges towards the fey-creatures, hitting the same fey-orc Sergeant S1. It's claw cannot defeat the fey-orc's hide.
Devil2 hits AC 23, 6 damage

The student carefully makes his way to the wall. He points his wand at the group of fey-kobolds in front of the west tower and speaks the command phrase. A small ball of fire streaks towards the group and explodes into a Fireball.

The fey-kobolds hear the *whoosh* of the Fireball and realize that it's safer to remain here attacking Appolo. All of them jab at the rogue with their spears but cannot hit him.

Toros replies back to where the sound of Oni comes from, "What about firing this catapult one last time?" "Lets not allow them to escape," the Taur comments, showing the retreating feykobolds on the East (fey-kobold flyera 4), this time addressing not only Oni but also the student with the fire ball wand. Finally Toros asks "does anyone need healing?"

While waiting for response, Toros heals himself for 13 hps with his wand, and pulls a scroll with his empty hand.

Xenia shifts five feet to bring herself up and behind the brave, but none too smart, little Flappy who has taken it into his head to attack the giant snake with a spear. The whipping chain encircles the little Kobold's neck, and one jerk from Xenia tears the spiked links through its jugular and windpipe.

"Aaaaaahhhhh!!!" The rogue whips the chain around to the other side. It whistles through the air, missing the Kobold on the other side. "RUN YOU DUMMIES!" the dark rogue shouts. "RUN OR BE SNAKE FOOD!!!"

From the corner of her eye, and with a fragment of her mind, she notes the empty battlefield. They've won. All except for the cleanup. But there's a bunch of noise coming from 'round the other side of the tower. Wonder what's going on there?

Toros suggests firing the catapult at the fleeing fey-kobolds before they get out of range. He also offers to heal the others before using the wand on himself.

Appolo turns on the fey-orc that sliced him open last round and delivers a flurry of blows that leaves the creature a smoking, blackened ruin.

Garrett moves over towards Appolo and the remaining ladders.

Xenia kills the fey-kobold that dared to attack Oni's snake and then turns on the other fey-creature. She cannot hit that fey-kobold, though.

Oni asks Toros whether they should assist the others or prepare for another assault.

His first summoned devil continues to attack the fey-orc Sergeant S1, but misses.
Devil 1 misses AC 15

The second devil attacks the same fey-orc. It's claws hit the fey-orc but cannot get past its thick hide.
Devil 2 misses AC 15, hits AC 23, 5 damage

The snake is satisfied with removing any threats to his master.

Syr and the students open the trapdoor and find that the ladder has been removed. That's probably what the fey-orc was doing down there.

The student triggers his wand again and sends a fireball off towards the fleeing Flyer Squad 4.

The fey-kobolds around Appolo falter and all of them withdraw away from Appolo.

The fey-kobolds on top of the wall also try to run away. Both of them manage to elude the rogue's swings of her chain and launch themselves from the wall.

The fey-orc Sergeant S1 swings it's scimitar at the nearest fey-orc (ed. this should be devil - JohnP) and cuts deeply. Then it steps back from the two devils.

The two fey-kobolds fire their slings at the devil and then retreat.

Then Toros turns to see the other walls of the castle to see how everything is on the other sides...

"Woo-AHHH!!!" The dark rogue spins in a tight victory circle. Then with a feral grin, she jets down from on high, charging straight at the leader of the retreating Flappy. The chain swings in a terrible arc, whooshing over the fortunate kobold's head.

Keep it whirring. The rogue tightens down the circle of the spinning disk of chain. Her eyes flick from one ground bound opponent to the next, just waiting for an opening.

Oni directs his devils to finish off the remaining fey-orc.

The first devil steps forward 5' and swings its glaive. Despite the solid hit, the glaive cannot get past the creature's tough hide. The second swing goes wide. Then it turns and salutes Oni before disappearing in a little cloud of smoke.

The second devil manages to hit the fey-orc Sergeant very well but it's claws cannot find purchase on its hide.

Toros heals his summoned creature and encourages the others to prevent any escapes. When he turns and looks at the other walls, it appears that they have also beaten back the assaults.

Appolo declares that the party should regroup rather than pursuing the fey-creatures. He moves towards the ladders in order to get back onto the wall.

Syr rigs a rope to allow himself and the students to descend from the top of the tower.

Garrett moves to attack the fey-orc Sergeant S1 and manages to inflict a wound.

Xenia pursues the fleeing fey-kobolds across the field, swinging her chain at the Leader L2.

After seeing Garrett and Xenia pursue the creatures, Appolo agrees that the fey-creatures should be driven off.

The student unleashes another Fireball at the fleeing fey-kobolds from Flyer Squad 4. There are no survivors from that group.

The fey-kobolds from Flyer Squad 1 flee further and the remnants of Flyer Squad 2 join up with them. Xenia manages to hit one of them as they flee. Fey-kobold Leader L2 ducks under the rogue's chain.

Fey-orc Sergeant S1 runs away from Garrett and the devil. Garrett hits the back of the fleeing creature but does not drop it.

In the distance, more explosions of light occur. From one side of the field, the party can see a group of elves mounted on unicorns sweep across the field.

Xenia and Garrett pursue the creatures a little longer and the student sends another Fireball arcing over their heads. Suddenly, there are no longer any opponents on the field.

"All the other walls seem to be all right!!" Toros lets the others know what he has seen. However, he cannot help, but feel like being cautious still. This victory was not so easy but also was not so hard either. Then he moves to check the East Wall, seeing that the ladder was not in its place. He will try to place it into its original position.

Airwalk: 90 Minutes; able to walk/climb on air.
Shield of Faith: 63 rounds remaining; +3 Deflection bonus.
Aid:(from Toros)+11hp, +1 att/saves, 9 rounds remaining.

Garrett moves quickly back up to the wall and inside the compund using airwalk as his stairs. He will then tend to as many of the wounded as he can get to, starting with those most seriously hurt. He will use his remaining spells for the day first(there aren't too many), and then go to the wand. Since Appolo is one of the first people he will see, he will be the first recipient, using Garretts remaining 3rd level spell for 26hp of healing.

The whirling disc over the dark bandana that caps Xenia's long red hair, spins down, laxing into a lose and lazy turn of linked chain. The small grrr at the back of her throat dies away as well. The field is empty.

With a near angry turn, the dark rogue spins about and jets back up to the battlements, alighting behind the crenulations. Leaning into one of the slots on gloved hands, she looks out over the field littered with the bodies of dead orcs and kobolds.

A harsh liquid sound comes muffled over the wall, as Xenia vomits the contents of her stomach to the ground below. Her arms begin to tremble.

Smiling at their apparent victory, he searches for the status of the other three walls across the fortress.

Oni shouts at the remaining devil, "Thank you for coming, you may leave when you like." Not wanting to allow his invisibility to drop just yet, he stays that way.

The party stands about, either on or before the wall. All around are the bodies of the fallen fey-creatures. Some are horribly burned, others are bleeding from wounds. The ones felled by Garrett's invoking of divine power look almost peaceful, as if they were simply sleeping. Unlike the others, the ones that fell due to Garrett's turning have lost most or all of their fey features.

Syr and the students atop the east tower slide down the rope and move across the wall. The students in the west tower remain up top while the newly arrived student lights a torch and begins the process of removing the webbing that chokes the lower floor.

After the party has had some time to collect themselves, they see a group of people approaching from both the east and west walls. As they near, the party recognizes Domi and Alemi accompanied by students.

Alemi calls up to the party, "Thank the Gods! You've turned back the assault tonight."

Domi asks, "Were any of you injured? Did all of you survive the fighting?"

Appololooks at Garret as he is healed and imeidately feels much better"Thanks my firend."He then surveys the area,No enemies in sight just Xenia puking.Looking around he doesn't see Oni"Oni my friend you can come out now.The battle's over.Everyone good jod very good job!!"He says in loud voice.

When Alemi and Domi come up,he steps forward"No no ones injured,just exhuasted.I've been in tougher scapes then thet before.Kept especting giants or something to show up."

Syr nods a humble greeting at Domi and smiles slightly at the soon-to-be God's concern. "No worries here. Are we expecting more soon?"

Garrett continues to tend the injured as best he can. If he crosses Alemi's path, he will mention to him "We will all need to meet with you and Domi to discuss what has transpired, after the more pressing concerns have been handled."

Once things have calmed down, Garrett will return to his room to meditate and pray. The main thing on his mind would be to ponder on the infinite possibilities of who is granting his spells. Garrett will believe that Domi is with him, and working through him, even now in the past. After all, he is a god in our time. Just because he wasn't in this time, does not mean that his power does not extend throughout time as a god.

Garrett will however, spend as much time as he can watching and being near Domi, without making himself annoying.

"Huh? Injured No. I'm okay. I guess."

Sitting atop one of the crenellations that front the battlement, Xenia continues to stare out onto the field of carnage. In one hand is a waterskin, and between deliberate and measured breathes, she forces herself to drink.

"Hey, what's everyone else think about this, huh? You know, 'bout how this is all weirdness? I mean, look at those guys." With a sweep of her gloved hand, she indicates the field of bodies. "Kobolds with wings. And look at those orcs. Orcs with horns. That's messed. That's not right."

She takes another drink.

"They look more like, you know, like animals or sump'in."

Another drink. Animals. Ebyron.

"You know guys, it's gotta be Ebyron behind all this. Remember the picture? Of the critters changing?"

"Only question is, what are we gonna do about it? Is there anything we can do?"

Remaining as the only living "monster" in the battlefield, Toros silently retreats into a corner, wondering what will happen next and how they will be able to go home. Domi and Alemi is not much of his concern now; as Xenia says, what is important is Ebryon...

Alemi and Domi look up at the party on the wall, seeming to appraise each of them. Alemi waits for a moment before speaking.

"It's good that all of you survived. I'm assuming that the students are all well, too? Not all of us can say the same, unfortunately."

He turns and confers quietly with Domi. Domi moves off towards the west tower while Alemi speaks to the party again.

"Please, come with us to the main hall for a brief service for those who fell. It will commence in about five minutes."

Meanwhile, Domi calls up to the students on the west tower. After conversing with them, he returns. "The students will stay and keep watch. It will be some time before they can come down, anyway." He has a slight smile on his face as he says this.

The first monk continues, "No, that should be it for tonight. We held them off long enough for the elves to assist us."

Alemi shrugs and looks to the party. "I know that you have many questions. Please, let them wait until we have had a chance for this service." He is about to leave and then turns back.

"Do you wish to include your companion Uriel in the service? While he did not fall in the battle tonight, he did die defending you from .... ahh, from what you say ... servants of Gargul. You would be welcome if you feel that it would be appropriate."

After Domi and Alemi leave, the party has a chance to discuss events before going to the service.

Oni waves his hand and becomes visible again. Walking with his staff he follows the man to where the ceremony will take place. When he arrives, he remmebers his new comrades, and looks back to see if they were coming. He chastises himself, not used to travelling with others.

Garrett gladly accepts their offer to join in the services, and thinks it would be wonderful for Uriel to be included. "I think Uriel would be honored. I shall go and retrieve his remains."

Garrett moves off to retrieve Uriels body, surveying the damage to Oshirr House as he goes.

Garrett would have already healed the party members at this point should any be wounded. He should have enough 1st and 2nd level spells to complete the job.

For the first time since the end of the battle a smile tips up the ends of Xenia's dark lips.

"We did all survive. Didn't we?" Heh. "Even all you student guys. Good job, Bert!" The dark girl flashes a thumbs up to her catapult-mate up in the tower.

"Survived." She gives a small sigh as Garrett goes off to retrieve the body of Uriel. "Yeah. Sure."

The spiked chain is covered in gore. Xenia's eye is drawn to a fleck of ripped flesh on the back of her glove, her damp, blood soaked glove.

"Hey, Syr," she catches up along side her fellow Crimson Shield, "I think ... after this Service, I think I'm gonna try and find my way back. I mean, like, we stopped the Red Cloaks from coming back here and changing things. Right? We even helped save Domi and Alemi at Oshirr House. But, I mean, if we know that Ebyron's causing all this grief here, and we figure he's messing with things back home, then shouldn't home be where we should be? I mean, you know, everything that's happened here has already happened. Right?"

"'Sides ... I miss Wynn." Xenia walks for a while in silence.

"I could sure use a bath, you know, too."
