Peerimus and Yorrick d20+10=25 d20+21=35 d20+18=34 Tuesday January 31st, 2006 1:01:26 PM
Peerimus shifts to a Seal as he gets close and swims around the Kraken to examine the scars. A few passes around the creature and then the druid shoots up to the turtle where Yorrick is and regains his human form. "I made a quick scout to the bottom and in the direction the Kraken came, about 1000 feet or so. I saw nothing that could house such a creature as a lair. Our best bet may be to move in a Northeast direction and in the morning I can speak with Mother again. She may tell of the landscape below and in so I might know where the creature was lairing."
Peerimus sits and looks back upon the body, "The wounds seem pretty old, it very well may have recieved them before arriving in this lake. As to the rest, the fresh water was leeching his strength just as it did mine. salt water creatures do not fair long out of thier environment. While the bottom is not overly deep, maybe 100 feet, it is cold enough to cause concern without assistance. Endure elements spells should protect us. The increase in pressure.." Peerimus pauses thinking, "I am not sure. I of course would be fine and Savins pearl likely frees him from such concerns as well. Firngaer to polymorph to an aquatic elf perhaps, but the rest including Yorrick would be in danger in relatively short order."
Peerimus rubs the wet fur of his friend and receives a nuzzle in return, "Any thoughts my friends?" The druid falls silent and goes through his considerable knowledge of the natural world, What could have so challenged the Kraken, before it came here?

Sly yells at Savin "No! Don't Dive Down There Alone!" But it was too late, Savin was already in the water. Sly dought if Savin even heard him. "Oh! Well, might as well tow the carcase to Firn-gare." So Sly grabs an arm and starts to tow to the turtles where the rest of the gang is drying out. Sly Sing as he is doing all this, "I'm A BIG MAN! Yes I'm A Big Man! Towing a big blob of Jam!'"
Sly doe not go but a few yards when he feels himself scrinking to his regular size, Now he's too small to do much but sit on top of the monster, and hope that yurric and Luke can push the thing to the turtle.
Firn'gaer - 43/77 & Rufus 31/38 2d8(4+5)+3=12 d20+7=15 Tuesday January 31st, 2006 5:33:04 PM
On the back of the turtle Firn'gaer takes the time to remove both the Vision and a vial of liquid. Acknowledging Savin's comments, he places down the mirror and turns to Rufus.
The rodent normally whiny about the lack of pampering limps up on Firn'gaer's should. A ham 'til the end, the rat plays the wounded soldier for all it's worth. Whether really that bad or not it's hard to say, but the act is there. Firn'gaer aware of the playacting or not seems not to notice.
"Here Rufus, take this. I'm sorry for the shock. Didn't really think the bolt would do that. This should take care of the burn." He says to his rodent friend. The potion, CMW (healing 12), heals most of the damage suffered by the familiar.
After tending his friend, the wizard takes the mirror in his hands and looks into it for more images of Chaos in the vicinity.
"Let's see if we have to go far." he says looking into the mirror. First near, including the Kraken, and then moving his sight in the direction they were traveling. Slowly he moves the Vision.

Savin deduces that the pressure won't bother him due to the pearl of sirine. He decides to stop swimming in total blackness and heads up towards the surface breaking the surface close to the turtles. With sure strokes, he covers the distance and pulls himself up on the turtle.
He shakes the water off and says to the others, "I think I can survive down there without to many difficulties. I have two potions of endure elements that we can use to help ward off the chill. Light will be a problem though. Do any of you spell weavers have light?
Also if the bottom is deep, then we will take a while to get down there. My pearl lasts a long time but how long does a normal water breathing spell last? Peerimus, it might be helpful if you can transform into a shark or large fish that could tow us down more quickly."
Jaeden Ohm Tuesday January 31st, 2006 7:01:38 PM
Not know what else to do Jaeden tries his best to put things back in order. He restows what needs it and checks ties where they may be loose.
When Savin resurfaces and asks his questions the warrior speaks up. "I can help with light. I've got a couple of these." He pulls one of his continually glowing rocks from his pouch and shows it to Savin. "Just let me know if you want to use it."
For now he replaces the rock back within his pouch and goes back to his chores.
Finding Things Out (DM/Al) Tuesday January 31st, 2006 9:09:06 PM
The group is active both over and under the water. Jaeden and Lady Silverhand both help the Turtle Handlers, as they check the ropes and fittings of their respective mounts. Each of them, at one time or another, turns a wary eye to the heavens and shakes his head. Bargle in particular is heard to mutter to himself that he'd never seen the like.
Sly hauls on the dead body of the Kraken. He sings to himself as he kicks and splashes. Finally, his size diminishes. But, then again, the dead monster is not that far away in the end after all. Not more than 25 feet from the side of the nearest Turtle.
Peerimus slips through the water as a sleek seal, following the length of the Kraken's body. Another thing that he notes about the wounds is that they are striated along the Kraken's length, long scrapes that run the length of the dead creature's body. To his eye, experienced in all manner of wounds, the Kraken's skin appears abraded as though scrapped against a rough surface, the complete length of its body. These do not appear to be attacks. Attacks are usually more targetted.
Savin rises from the depths and is soon engaged in a discussion of the practicalities involved in underwater exploration. Breath, heat, the pressure of the deep, and light. Jaeden offers his glowing stones.
Firn'gaer spends some time with his small familiar. Then he sits with the Vision of Noxnyx. The wizard feels more adapt with the Artifact. His control of depth comes much more naturally. A glowing shape appears straight ahead as Firn'gaer directs it at the Kraken's body. Looking up, however, it is only Sly Foxx, sitting atop the floating corpse. There is nothing else in the area. The Kraken itself registers no Chaos energy.
Sweeping the view north and east, in the direction they had been headed, the direction from which the Kraken had appeared, Firn'gaer expands outward, feeling for the perspective from which he had gotten the brief glimpse of the Chaos signature, the brief glimpse just before the storm had struck. Like a natural eye that knows how it feels to spy a distant object, the view zooms out toward its target.
There.
Downward, and to the Northeast, a clear Chaos signature, possibly within a mile, something is there.

Jasper after taking some monents to recover from the water he slowly raises to his feet and survays the group, turning to Jaeden, Savin, and Firn'gaer, we need to have a plan for this underwater is no time for half assed wing it time that we are using now or someone may never come back , I think that we sould all stop here and think first we dont have a clue what is down there or if there are more Kraken near. _____
Jaeden Ohm Wednesday February 1st, 2006 12:25:21 PM
"Do we have the means to explore underwater as a group immediately? If so we should urge the turtle's handlers towards the NE right away. If not, then we should consider waiting here a full day and striking out fully prepared tomorrow morning."
His opinion expressed Jaeden waits to hear what others have to say.
Peerimus and Yorrick Wednesday February 1st, 2006 4:28:20 PM
The storm clears and Peerimus smiles as he overhears Bargle. "It is unfortunately normal for us and now you can say you have seen such a storm. Mother blesses us in all things, though most don't know it." Peerimus then adds with a rare grin of mischief, "And if you wish, you could see it again tomorrow."
Firngaer takes out the Vision and Peerimus nods, "Excellent my friend. The Vision seems to be coming to you easier now. that is good news as well. So we are near 1 mile from the next piece. I believe that to be in a small cave. The Kraken was drawn to it and the rocks it had to squeeze by are the wound we see running down the length. If you sih any components Sly and Firngaer you should take them while you are able. There may not be much left in a day. Mother recycles well."
The druid listens as Jasper, Jaeden and the others speak on the subject of pushing further on. "No we can not safely all explore the bottom, nor should we. The Vision has shown our destination upon Turtle Lake to be just before us. I for one believe the Kraken panned to take any who had surrendered to a location capable of our survival. This means an underwater chamber with air."
"We should prepare for a journey to this sort of location. To that regard I have a few questions of Firngaer. Dimensional Door and or Teleport. I and Savin could get first hand knowledge of the final destination. Is there a way to relay it adequately to you for such a trip? If this is not truly viable I can protect us all from the water's cold. To get down quickly you will have to swim. Take as much water into your lungs as you can, Firngaers spell of Water Breathing will allow you to and in doing so you will lose you natural bouyancy and sink. Jaeden and Jasper, you should simply wear your armor."
"How many can fit inside your Sphere Firngaer? I am a bit concerned for Luke, Dalek and Yorrick."

Savin listens to Peerimus and agrees. "I like the turtles and all but I really don't want to spend another night here. Not to mention that we might have been the only possible captive in that cave. I am sure kraken would have taken more slaves if possible.
I am willing to swim down and explore it alone if necessary. I have a potion that will protect me from the cold and the air and swimming is no problem. I do believe I want on of those lights though Jaeden. It is very dark down there. Why don't we at least have the turtles move over to the correct area now and see if we can determine anything else?"
Alone With The Questions (DM/Al) Wednesday February 1st, 2006 9:16:14 PM
The group returns from their various tasks and explorations.
Young Bargle looks across the expanse of water to the druid on the other Turtle as he both comments on the storm, and offers yet another tomorrow. The Turtle Handler is a plain man uncomplicated man. Expressions come to his face as he feels them. First comes incredulity, then a touch of fear as the druid's meaning sinks in. Bargle, busies himself with his Turtle. Currently the nearest to the body of the Kraken, Bargle's Turtle has taken the greatest number of impromptu passengers, and Bargle's mount raises his head and opens its mouth in complaint. A knowing smile touches the face of the elder Handler Rhodus on the Turtle behind Peerimus. Experience comes to each in their own time.
At the news from Firn'gaer of the location of another Chaos signature, the group pools their information, their strategies, and their ideas. There come also a few speculations. Peerimus postulates a small air-filled underwater cave. Indeed the scrapes on the Kraken's body may have been made against rock. Savin speculates upon the possibility of other's having been taken slave, and worries as to their fate at this very moment.
As is often their wont, answers beget more questions. Why would a Kraken need slaves in the first place? What would a Kraken do with slaves in the midst of this great body of water? And, if the gargantuan cephalopod was not native to his lake, as its condition suggests ... then why is it even here? How could something so large have come to this lake? Unfortunately, if the Kraken had brought with it any answers, it has taken them to its death.
All around is blue water, running off in every direction, meeting in the distance with a blue sky.
The day had began early. The sun above has not yet even reached the position of mid-morning.

Peermius and Yorrick 3d8(5+2+1)+11=19 Thursday February 2nd, 2006 5:21:01 PM
Peerimus smiles at Savin and very much wanted to go exploring the depths with him, but Firngaer may be right, if not a bit over dramatic. The Chaos artifact down there somehow communicated with the Kraken or perhaps they were together and both whisked here from elsewhere. Likely there is no danger, but if we go, they will follow to their detrement. No unfortunately where you now lead it seems they follow
"Done. We spend a day leisurely on the water then. First light we go down. Another day will not make much of a difference. I will be able to protect us all from the cold, allow all of us to move freely and create several 60' Daylight zones."
With that Peerimus stretches out on the expansive shell and relaxes. Yorrick gick another mighty shake, sending water everywhere and then picks out a comfortable warm spot in the sun. Peerimus looks over his shoulder to Rhodus, "There is no problem remaining another day is there?"

The sun continues the morning climb into the powder blue sky. The calm of the open water, a thing the group had not partaken of the day before.
"One more day, we can do, Yer Lourdship," Rhodus the Breaker replies to Peerimus. "But much more than that we're not provisions for."
The sun beats down, reflecting off the rippling waters of the lake. The body of the Kraken, warming under the rays from above, gives off a sharp salty tang. Underneath the smell is the fuller cloying pungency, harbringer of the greater corruption to come.
Near to full noon, the Turtle handlers once again pull oiled sacks of great writhing worms out from under the storage nets. They feed their mounts first before they feed themselves. Lunch is day old bread, with a firm chewy crust, a sharp cheese, and oily smoked fish, dark with a rich woody flavor.
Upon the surface of the lake, they are all that exists in the Wold. It's hard to believe that not hours before the wind and water raged like an angry giant, and they were all under the threat of slavery or death. What the morrow will bring is dark as the depths below. But for today, all is peaceful. This is the Wold when all is right.

Day of Discovery (DM/Al) d100=72 d100=10 Sunday February 5th, 2006 4:24:12 PM
The day remains calm, peaceful, idyllic. The sun continues to shine through a clear and unclouded sky.
Fine for the living. But, the body of the Kraken begins to ripen and the pleasant salt tang is overwhelmed by a choking foul meat odor.
"Excusing your pardon, Yer Lourdship," Rhodus comes to Peerimus, for lack of an actual hat, he has clearly come hat in hand, "if you have no further business with the carcass of yon beast, might we move a goodly distance away? Me and the men, we'll bear anything you ask of us. But the Turtles, it makes them uncomfortable."
The distance isn't far. No more than 1000 feet further northeast than Peerimus had gone before. The air is much cleaner. The Turtles are much happier. The sun continues it's march across the sky. The Handlers break out poles and lines, casting for fish. They spend the rest of the day fishing, but they catch not a single fish. It's possible that the area has been picked clean already.
Evening comes. In the last rays of dusk, the Handlers again feed their mounts by the light of the everburning torches. It is clear that this is the last of the Turtle feed. Dinner is, again, the same bread, cheese, and oily smoked fish. The fare is still tasty. But it's also clear that a diet of this for days on end could get old.
The night, away from the lights of sentient habitation, is full of glorious stars. At some point during the night, the air grows warmer, an abnormal warm air mass passing over the area. Tomorrow looks to be a scorcher for those on the surface of the water.
Watch passes into watch, and soon enough the sun comes again. Morning. This morning, the Turtles go hungry. The dark surface of the lake awaits. Time to find out what the murky water holds in store.

I will start a time once you cast your spells. You have near a mile of open water in front of you under which to search. This is what it looks like: Search Area. Pretty blank. One square is 30 feet of Lake Bottom. Searching 30 feet and passing on to the next 30 feet takes two rounds. Sure would be in your best interest to find some way to narrow this down.
I'll gray out the areas as you go, so that you'll know which sections you've already searched. Normally that would take some pretty organized mapping. But, hey, we can't make this ridiculously difficult now, can we?
Tell me which square you'd like to start in.

Peerimus starts to nod but then holds his hand. We should use what we can and then put distance between us. We can use the Kraken to replenish much of our food stores, with some help from Mother."
The druid will direct and assist directly with harvesting about 9 cubic feet of the kraken and to refill one of the drinking barrels with 16 gallons of water. Peerimus will then cast Purify Food and Drink upon the Kraken meat and water. This done he nods to Rhodus "Yes, let us be away now." The druid is pretty sure they should send the turtles for 'home' and stay under their own power, even with the partial food supply now gained.
He communicates that end to the others shortly after breakfast, or what passes for it. "I have a Swan Boat as well, also a pair of Tokken Anchors to hold there position while we are below."
"Firngaer reported the chaos about a mile from us, about half that now that we have left the Kraken. We should use the Vission to narrow our choices. If insufficient, I can ask Mother."
For light, I have Daylight spells and an Everburning Torch. Once we narrow the search, we can go Savin. I would suggest we swim abreast of each other with the Daylight spells in slight overlap, so we can maintain a semblance of contact. Firngaer, you might also want to prepare your mind linking spell. OOC Sorry guys, I posted early this morning because I wasn't sure I was going to be able to post. Looks like I will have limited internet access this week. Only have the business suite in the hotel with one computer in it so might be tough to get on. Will try...
Savin waits to start his search until he gets a direction from the Firn'gaer. He will also try holding onto the bane of Seribon to see if it gives him any feelings. If he gets a direction, he will coordinate with the others, otherwise he will start his search on his own.
OOC Al, Savin basically has 24 straight hours that he can use. He moves a base of 60' swimming so he should be able to cover the entire grid by himself without to much trouble. Will take time but since it isn't limited to rounds or minutes, it shouldn't be to bad.
Jasper Monday February 6th, 2006 8:12:57 PM
Jasper waits for the party to move holding his tounge, other then to mention to everyone that he has 2 scolls of waterbreathing and a second swan boat if we need it
X Marks the Spot (DM/Al) Monday February 6th, 2006 9:57:44 PM
Harvesting the corrupting flesh of the Kraken the day before was foul work. It had taken several hours of work, to carve it away in strips. And even after having been purified, it proved tough and flavorless. The Turtle handlers, the younger two in particular, cast dubious looks a the thought of eating the flesh of the unknown monster.
"Are ye certain, Yer Lourdship?" asks Rhodus, when Peerimus brings up the topic of sending the Turtle Ferries back. At Peerimus' prompting, Firn'gaer brings out the Vision of Noxnyx once again. Without confirmation that they are to return, the Handlers round their mounts once again into triangle formation, and follow Firn'gaer's directions into the northeast.
Gradually, the Chaos Signature drops further down as the group approaches nearer, until the reading registers as directly below. At this point the group halts.
Sly desires to search north. Savin, unhindered by time limits, by the grace of his pearl, suggests that he might search the entire bottom by himself. Peerimus suggests sweeping the area in formations, like beaters driving quail an pheasant before them.
The early morning air is still. Heat rides upon the water, thick and uncomfortable.
=== OOC ===
The Chaos Signature is directly below you. This is what it looks like: Search Area. One square is 30 feet of Lake Bottom. Searching 30 feet and passing on to the next 30 feet takes two rounds.
How do you proceed?
Do you send the Turtle Ferries back to Floating City?
Where do you start your search? Who goes where?
I'll gray out the areas as you go, so that you'll know which sections you've already searched. Normally that would take some pretty organized mapping. But, hey, we can't make this ridiculously difficult now, can we?
Jasper, I see the Swan Boat. But I don't see two scrolls of Waterbreathing on your character sheet.
Savin Monday February 6th, 2006 10:30:22 PM
Savin volunteers to go scouting but needs a light source. If Firn'gaer provides one, he will drink down his potion and dive towards the bottom. His powerful legs aided by the pearl quickly take him to the bottom where he will take a good look around and then report back what he sees.
Sly (AC 25 85/85 hp) and Luke (Ac 21 65/65 hp) Tuesday February 7th, 2006 7:14:56 AM
Sly and Luke watch as Savin dives into the water, Sly turns to Firn'gare asking, "Is the view strong here? You know I have this feeling, that we will not need the Turtles any more, once we dive down there and enter the cave?? But let's see what Savin has to say when he returns. . ."
Luke look at Savin's dive into the water, talk to Sly "Savin alone down there?"

Barren Landscape - DM Addendum (DM/Al) Tuesday February 7th, 2006 8:21:38 AM
Savin activates his Pearl of the Sirines and dives into the water, swimming easily down through the depths. The light of one of Jaeden's glowing stones illuminates a 30 foot globe around him. It doesn't take long. The water here is even more shallow than Peerimus had noted some two or three thousand feet to the southwest. 85 feet down. 75 feet down, and Savin encounters a rocky landscape. There is the edge of a rocky cliff the drops of some 20 feet before sloping gently further downward as the land trails off to the west. To the north and south, the rock of the cliff continues out of sight. And, to the east, at the edge of the magic light, is what seems the start of an area of sand or silt.
Perhaps the Chaos Signature is coming from somewhere futher below ...
[ OoC: Let us assume that Savin rises again to the surface to report this. Just to Speed things up. -- Al ]
Peerimus and Yorrick Tuesday February 7th, 2006 11:33:08 AM
Peerimus does his best to reassure the handlers that he knows what he is doing and that the new food is safe, if not horribly bland and chewy. Firngaer, with the Vision puts the group drop dead over the signature, "Masterful my friend."
Peerimus takes a quick inventory at least on the really important parts and that is they have 3 swan boats. More than enough, each boat can move over 250 miles in a single day and a single boat could carry them all. "Yes Rhodus I am certain. I am already concerned about your supplies and the journey home. If you left now, would the six of you be alright? I have some personal supplies I could give and I am sure the others do as well."
Savin goes under and Peerimus says a small blessing to Mother for his safety. "It seems our guess on the Krakens wounds is correct. Somwhere on that clif is the entrance we seek. We should create a marker here, perhaps one of the swan boats with an anchor. Savin could go south and I could go north."
Before Swan boats are busted out though, Peerimus wants to get Rhodus's answers

Jaeden Tuesday February 7th, 2006 5:16:43 PM
"I picked up one of those boats as well Peerimus." Jaeden states to the druid when he does his tally.
"I also have an elixer that will help me swim so I should be able to put my armor on. Once we know where we're going I'll gear up."
The warrior looks at Dalek, a bit concerned. "We may have to use a boat, otherwise Dalek will have no place to wait if we go down. He can't really swim under with us like Luke and Yorrick. If it comes to it, we can use mine."
Firn'gaer Tuesday February 7th, 2006 8:12:17 PM
"Good, we have a more narrow area to search. I think I have a way to narrow it even more. I do have a means of telepathic communication, a scroll actually." He says.
"I can communicate with a total of three other individuals and they with each other. Peerimus, Savin, Jaeden and one other swim down and search while I use the Vision to direct. Then once the enterence is found we can prepare and all go as one group. I don't want to seperate. The Chaos Bell has an uncanny knack for taking us once an objective is done whether ready or not."
"As far as getting Dalek down when we're ready, I can give him flight and he can fly down through the water instead of sink and you can ride him." He says to Jaeden. "I'll take some more if need for Jasper."
"We have several Swan Boats and I have a Folding Boat. Both are large enough to carry everyone we have and even a few we may pick up."
"Thoughts?"

As the party starts readys to find the cave Jasper Jasper Prays " Through many dangers, toils and snares we have already come; 'Tis grace hath brought us safe thus far And grace will lead us home. The Lord has promised good to me His word my hope secures; He will my shield and portion be, As long as life endures. Alemi watch over us"
Alone (DM/Al) Tuesday February 7th, 2006 10:02:35 PM
"We'll be alright, Yer Lourdship," Rhodus eyes the druid through eyes made hard by years in the weather. "We'll need no further supplies. We'll be the ones going home." The lead Turtle Handler searches Peerimus' face, looking for even the slightest of hesitations. Then he nods. "Then I wish you fair waters."
The Turtle Handlers draw their mounts in as close as they dare to provide a staging area for the group to collect their belongings and prepare for the departure of the Ferries. And when their charges are off loaded and afloat under their own magic power, the three Turtles begin the return to Floating City. None of them looks back.
The Children of Chaos are alone now, in the middle of Turtle Lake. There is nothing from horizon to horizon save for water and sky. The direction is now downward. Somewhere beneath the rock of the lakebed, is the source of the Chaos Signature. Can the group pull together to find the way there? Can it be done before their magic runs out? The water itself is an alien land, dangerous even without creatures like the Kraken. Can the group find their way without loss of life?
=== OOC ===
Who's boat are you using now?
I will need specifics:
1) What spells are cast? 2) Who goes down? Who stays above? 3) In what direction does each group or person go? 4) What search pattern do you use? If not specified, I will assume a single straight line. 5) How far do you travel before you stop? 6) I will go easy on you. If you don't have Freedom of Movement or something that grants you a Swim Speed, then you must make a Swim Check of DC10. That's good until you return to the boat. And, if you lack Freedom of Movement or something that grants you a Swim Speed, your speed will be 1/2.
I went over our emails, Jon. The email that discussed Jasper's character creation. I don't find a mention of Scrolls of any kind. Sorry, you don't have them.

Peerimus and Yorrick Wednesday February 8th, 2006 5:16:17 PM
Peerimus assure Rhodus they will be fine and thanks him and his fellow handlers and also makes a point to mention thier bravery in the face of the Kraken attack. "Lesser men would have abandoned us then and thier, fleeing for thier lives. You do the people of Floating City proud. Mother bless you always and count you friends."
Peerimus begins trying to think of the best way to go about this. Logistics and tactics are not his strong suit, but common sense he has in spades. "Folding Boat, Everyone in and hold it here til we find the cave entrance, then we anchor and all go in."
"First we need to find the cave opening. Just because we are above the artifact does not mean we are above the cave and Krakens can swim so it might be a ways off. Savin and myself will look, he North and I south. We are far faster than any of you while consuming the least finite resources."
"Firngaer's Telepathic bond will allow us to stay in contact, Myself, Savin and Firngaer. When either of ous locates it they surface and the rest move to them. We will then open a Swan Boat, Anchor it and gear up for the real dive."
"Hold off on any spells except the Telepathic Bond till we locate the cave entrance."
Nodding to Savin Peerimus casts a couple spells. "Toss me my club in a moment." Peerimus eases into the water and shifts to that of a porpoise. Using his tail, his 'stands' upon the water and opens his mouth.
With Daylight on his Club, he takes a breath and goes down and moves SOUTH along the rock wall.
Holding Breath for 98 rounds Swin Speed 40 half speed to Search Peerimus swims about 30' away from the rock wall half way between the bottom and top of it. Peerimus will go 4 minutes South. 40' per round x 40 rounds 1600'. Peerimus will mentally sound off every 100'

The Curving Cliff (DM/Al) Wednesday February 8th, 2006 9:35:10 PM
Firn'gaer brings out a small wooden box, long and rectangular with a length just over twice the span of his gnomish hands. With a splash it lands in the water, floating on the surface. Then, at a simple word, the box unfolds, sides growing, expanding, with the sound of wood against wood as pieces snap into place. A small rowboat takes shape. A second command word and the sides of the rowboat spring apart, growing again, more pieces of the whole springing as though from thin air, till, with a final clack, a ship, 24 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 6 feet deep rides upon the calm surface of the lake.
The group bundles onto the ship.
Sly gears up for exploration. Jaeden prepares for quick departure. Lady Silverhand is quiet, as has been her wont.
After a blessing from Father Jasper, Firn'gaer ties the minds of Savin and Peerimus. Savin activates his pearl and Peerimus, his club glowing bright as the sun above turns into a porpoise. Both dive to the bottom. Savin combs the waters to the north, while Peerimus, the sleek porpoise, streaks to the south. They travel the cliff face. Peerimus has enough experience with outdoor Survival to tell that the cliff face curves to the West. (Savin, please make a Survival check vs DC20 to understand that the cliff face is taking you to the west.)
After following the cliff for no more than two minutes, it is in fact clear to the druid, that the cliff may be the edge of a crater. Indeed the ground at the bottom of the cliff face slopes downward into the murk. The bottom of the cliff must be a good 80 feet in depth. How much further downward could the lakebed go? Pressure can become painful and dangerous at 100 feet.
Neither Peerimus nor Savin see signs of a cave mouth.

Quick Note: Peerimus did not want to anchor the boat until we were above the cave location. Folding Boat, Everyone in and hold it here til we find the cave entrance, then we anchor and all go in.
Yorrick moves onto the now rather large ship and finds a good spot to rest and lie down. With a great yawn he stretches and plops down.
Peerimus keeps searching. 'Savin, Firngaer we are curving and I believe towards each other. Like circling a great crater. Let's keep moving until we meet up. we can then cruise across side by side about 30' apart to search the floor of the crater. Staying 20' off the floor should allow a good view.'
Peerimus shoots up for air with a jump and then returns to the submerged world of the lake bottom. "Anyone know how to keep this thing in one place?"
Crisscrossing the Crater (DM/Al) Thursday February 9th, 2006 9:08:36 PM
On the surface, the party waits in the boat. Though it's still early morning, the air is indeed hot. Those in armor find themselves perspiring heavily. An unusual day. The group has not experienced a heat like this here since their arrival.
Sly and Luke sit with Lady Silverhand, reassuring her with the sheer weight of their experience. The slim noble lady returns a weak smile in thanks.
Jasper keeps a vigil, looking off to the south. There isn't much to see. The endless mild undulations of the surface of the lake. The sky is free of clouds. In his head, the priest hears the conversation between Firn'gaer, staring down into the odd brass mirror with tripod legs, and the two unseen swimmers below, Peerimus and Savin.
Firn'gaer keeps an odd sort of tabs on the situation below as the cross chatter of voices goes through his head. The view in the Vision takes on an odd sort of stretched view as it works to keep both the Artifact below and the two moving Champions of Chaos within its scope. The paths of the two colored signatures bow outward, and then come together in the distance.
Suddenly, the sleek form of a porpoise leaps up from below, curves, and then enters the water again.
Jaeden, uncomfortable within the boat, asks how they might keep the thing from drifting. How indeed, would one know whether the boat were drifting or not? The water everywhere looks the same!!!
Underwater, Peerimus and Savin spot each other's lights, and meet on the far side of the crater. They begin to cut back and forth from rim to rim. The bottom of the crater is a landscape of cracked and naked rock with untold years of sediment settled into gaps between. Back and forth, back and forth. There is no life down here, only darkness and the lonely lakebed. Back and forth, ten minutes pass. Twenty minutes. They cover over half the crater.
Up above, Jasper and Firn'gaer hear the count of One Hundred feet come for what must surely be near the 80th time from Peerimus below. Maybe there is no cave. Maybe the Artifact is sealed away beneath unbreechable barriers of earth.
Then comes the telepathic cry from below. A cave! A large round hole nearly 15 feet in diameter amid a cluster of rock. The depths of the cave go back further than even Peerimus' Daylight spell can reach. The depth at the mouth of the cave is roughly 90 feet.

When the group gets here, you and I can go in front on a quick scout.' Peerimus drops his club 'Let's back to the boat.' The Porpoise winks at Savin, 'I can swim pretty fast myself.'

If there are any other suggestion let me know. This is a plan of spells used to give the widest amount of movement underwater as I can think of using the current spells prepared.
- Extended Waterbreathing used on the list if needed. It grants a total of 44 hours. - Firn'gaer will use Polymorph to take a Scrag form. - Firn'gaer will cast Mage Armor for himself. - Dalek will receive an extended, using the rod, Fly. Jaeden should be able to ride him down. - Using Mage's Lucubration he will recall Fly and using the Rod will give Jasper and Extended Fly. - Both Resilent Spheres can be cast to protect those who'll have difficulties swimming down. Each sphere has an 11-ft diameter. Should hold one Large creature or four Mediums. It can be dismissed. These could be used for prisoners found.

"Firngaer I think Dalek is going to need that Flight spell you mentioned. Without it I don't think he can get himself under the water."
Jaeden remains patient while Peerimus directs the boat to the location directly above the cave. He packs his belongings into the waterproof sack supplied to him in the floating city and loads them onto Dalek. He applies his Elixer of swimming to his body and puts on his armor piece by piece. Once ready to stands tall to receives those spells that Peerimus is planning to cast.
Once all spells are cast the warrior mounts Dalek and pulls a second glowing stone from his belt pouch. The two plunge into the waters below, doing their best to keep pace with Savin and the Porpoise.
effects - Elixer of Swimming [couldn't find this in the SRD and don't remember he effects. Something like +5 to swim checks. have no idea of duration] - Freedom of movement from Peerimus - Endure elements from Peerimus - Flight on Dalek [IF and only IF Firn casts. If not I'll adjust my post]

Preparations (DM/Al) Sunday February 12th, 2006 10:27:22 PM
All together. Peerimus and Savin rise to the surface, and the entire group prepares to descend and explore the cave.
A Feather Token is tossed out onto the water, but it is a Swan Boat that lands, splashing and bobbing on the surface. The group transfers to their new craft, as Peerimus sees to the anchor. Firn'gaer speaks a command word and his folding boat returns to the form of a foot long box, slapping itself together with the sound of clacking wood.
Spells and equipment are prepared.
Upon the deck of the Swan Boat, the group stands ready to drop into the depths. All are protected from the loss of heat. Each one is provided with some way to breathe. At the last minute, a frightened and angry chitter comes from Firn'gaer. Rufus appears on his shoulder, looking down into the dark waters with a ratty look of panic and distress. The Water Breathing is shared with him as well. Not much that can be done about the water itself, though.
Savin, equipped with the magic from his Pearl of the Sirines has already demonstrated the speed and grace with which he can move underwater.
Firn'gaer takes on the form an aquatic troll. The better to fight as well as to swim.
Peerimus once again assumes the form of a porpoise. With the Freedom of Movement spell upon him, Yorrick sports just as easily in the water. Perhaps not a thought that would occur to a bear, but it's oddly very much like walking on land.
Sly and Luke, also under the Freedom of Movement spell, find that they can run and jump about through the water. Just like on land, except this is in three dimensions. What a strange and wonderful feeling.
Jaeden[b] as well, finds his armor no more cumbersome under the Freedom of Movement spell than he would on land. Dalek, with the power of flight, now glides through the water, riding the currents as though through air. The flying mount can even take a passenger to ride behind Jaeden, as [b]Lady Silverhand is the only one lacking the magic to aide her movement underwater.
Father Jasper, also graced with the Fly spell, hovers in the water. Only too late, though, does he realize, he can move with ease, he can breath without restriction, he can even communicate with Firn'gaer, Peerimus, and Savin through the grace of Firn'gaer's Telepathic Bond. But Jasper cannot actually speak underwater. He will be unable to cast any spells.
And so the others find out as well. The only ones in the party who find they can speak intelligibly underwater are Savin, Jaeden, Sly ... well ... Luke of course, and ... alas poor Yorrick, the things he would say if only he could.
All plunge down through the water, darkness held at bay by the various sources of magic light. Finally, there at 90 feet of depth is the dark hole amid the cracked rock and silt. 15 feet in diameter, if the Kraken had been in there it most certainly would have had a difficult time within the narrow confines. The cave awaits like a dark mouth asking more questions than it gives in answers.

Notes: Peerimus, there are plenty of instances of freshwater porpoises. You should be fine in this form. Also, Peerimus, I divided your Water Breathing spell to include Rufus as well. Firn'gaer, I didn't include your casting of Otiluke's Resilient Sphere, because, according to my reading, once cast, the Sphere may not be moved. Jaeden, Elixir of Swimming lasts for 1 hour. But I did not include it here because with Freedom of Movement from Peerimus, you should not need it. Save it for later.

Yes we might alert something we are coming but I don't want to have to fight something we can't see. I can guarentee you, that this thing will be able to see in the dark."
Savin moves to the front of the group and says, "Let me go ahead. I will bring the torch and try to draw out any attacks. Then all of my companions can rush in and save me. No sense all of us being effected by a mass spell or somethng else."
Savin takes the torch from Peerimus and swims around 20' ahead of the others. Enough for them to get some light but not enough to lose line of sight. He will allow them to catch up if he has to go around any bends never breaking line of sight.

The sensations involved with 'flying' through the water are somewhat exilarating and Jaeden takes a moment to enjoy the novelty of the situation. Before too long however the party reaches the entrance and it's back to business.

Which Way? (DM/Al) Monday February 13th, 2006 10:13:00 PM
Savin takes up point, carrying Peerimus' club. The light shines 60 feet down the tunnel as far as Savin can see.
Peerimus and Yorrick follow 20 feet behind. Traveling side by side, they barely fit in the 15-foot wide tunnel, and the rough rock of the tunnel walls passes close on either side. Fortunately, the group does not travel very quickly. In order to stay together, the pace is limited to the slowest speed among them.
Sly is worried about being unable to swim. But, with the Freedom of Movement spell, he has no trouble. In fact, it's just like walking.
The rest follow close on their heels. Bunched together in lock step. Jaeden takes up the rear guard. As soon as Savin plunges down into the dark hole it takes a turn. Peerimus, still oriented on the axis of Mother Wold, recognizes the direction in which the tunnel bends as East. A shallow curve in the tunnel and suddenly, with just over a minute of travel, Savin comes to a side tunnel. It opens to the right, every bit as large as the stretch of tunnel down which they had just come.
Now there is a choice of two ways, straight ahead or to the left. Which way to go?

"You're right to bring it up Sly, but look." He points up to the front line where Peerimus and Yorrick walk side by side. "There is little room for another there and that pair seem well used to working in concert. I believe Peerimus has at least a basic understanding of my abilities. Plus, I believe that Savin and Peerimus are still linked by Firns spell. It may be benefitial to have someone out front who can communicate with Savin."

And Split Again (DM/Al) Tuesday February 14th, 2006 10:04:35 PM
The confines of the twisting tunnel of rock are made even more claustrophobic by the intensely bright Daylight that floods ever surface from the tip of Peerimus' club. Within this setting, The Children of Chaos take stock of their situation.
Sly counts Luke and Father Jasper as backup if the group should be thrown into battle. He'd like the Warrior Jaeden, but Jaeden points out the tactical and logistic sensibilities in the current set up. The muted quality of their voices under the Freedom of Movement spell is odd. And yet, there is no doubt that each word comes through with crystal clarity, delivered with a more perfect transmission through both the mediums of water and magic than they could ever have been through the air above. Jaeden takes a periodic glance over his shoulder, past the head of Lady Silverhand, who holds to his waist. The tunnel is empty, and dark beyond the 30-foot reach of his glow stone. No sound either comes from the emptiness behind.
Father Jasper listens to the conversation between the two fighters. It is a conversation in which he cannot participate. Instead, he thinks to the those he can communicate with, Peerimus, Savin, and Firn'gaer. Right or straight?
As for Firn'gaer, he regrets that he had not the foresight to remove the Vision of Noxnyx from his haversack before entering the water. It might at least have provided some direction in this case. But opening any of the flaps of the bag at this time would flood the extra-dimensional spaces within. They have not been known to burst under such circumstances. But all of the contents would be soaked.
At the front of the group, Peerimus thinks to Savin, "Scout each one ... " But which one?
Savin, without hesitation zips down the branch. Without the group to slow him down, it takes him no longer than fifteen seconds. The branch curves gently, and then turns sharply in the other direction. Savin banks rapidly around the turn to find ... a dead end. Fifteen seconds back out. There is only one way to go, up the continuing tunnel.
The group continues, and the tunnel curves gently to the north. Another 60 seconds up the tunnel and the group encounters another divide. This one is Y shaped. Evenly split there are two choices, one to the right and one to the left.
Meanwhile, Peerimus the Porpoise continues to hold his breath. He keeps a reserve in a hollow space just under his blowhole. But, as well adapted to the water as the Porpoise form is, he is swiftly running out of air.

Savin without hesitation looks at Peerimus and says, "I will check both again." He takes the right tunnel first, swimming around 100' before turning back or encountering something. He then comes back and goes to the left, following the same procedure.
If both don't have any kind of result, Savin will decide upon the left tunnel and lead the group down it.
Another Quick Explore - Addendum (DM/Al) Tuesday February 14th, 2006 11:30:46 PM
Savin uses the same strategy to explore both branches. He heads down the right branch first. The right branch curves east for 60 feet before turning sharply south. At the 100 foot mark the tunnel appears to continue straight south for as far as Savin can see. Twelve seconds pass as Savin speeds up and back.
The left branch heads north curving gently to the west and then heading back the other way. At the 100 foot mark, this tunnel too, seems to continue on.
Another Twelve seconds there and back. This time, the results are inconclusive. Which way to go? Which way now?

Sly watches Savin going in and out of the passages, But the second time the passages must be too long to tell which one to take??
So using his knowlage of nature (23), He figures that if something is living in here, it must have a continues supply of running water?? Like the animal that lives in a cave, must have a supply of air.
Sly will pick up a handfull silk and go to the Y entrance of each tunnel, then slowly let the silk drop. Sly will watch witch way the silk follows the more active path?
Luke sits there and watches the half elf.
A Drop of Silk - Addendum (DM/Al) Wednesday February 15th, 2006 8:05:26 AM
Now that the group has stopped, the water within the tunnel is very still. The calm of the dead.
But, movement that may not be perceived by the naked senses may yet be revealed through cleverly designed instruments. In this case, a simple scrap of silk. Sly cuts a bit off of his red sash. And, standing in the mouth of the Y, he lets it drift down from above.
It drops straight down, at first. But then the scrap of red silk flutters, like a leaf on the wind. It turns in a very weak and minor current, turning into the Right leg of the Y.
Jaeden Wednesday February 15th, 2006 3:17:21 PM

Savin's initial reaction was to go the other way but since Sly had so cleverly figured something out, he goes off in the direction wanted. He swims strongly still, letting the others catch up when they lose line of sight. He then swims off getting that 20' spread.
Long Dead (DM/Al) Wednesday February 15th, 2006 8:31:34 PM
The Children of Chaos take the Right branch, trusting to Sly Foxx's clever idea to point the way. They make their way through the tunnel as it heads east then turns sharply to the right. 240 feet of relatively straight tunnel, then another sharp curve, this time to the left. As the group rounds this bend, another branching comes into view.
This time, Savin makes quick work of things. He heads down the Right branch, and just beyond 100 feet, the curves stretch of tunnel narrows to an impassable dead end.
The Left Branch curves away as the group heads along its gently curving rise. By this time, it's difficult to discern which way is north, which south, which east or west. A dwarf would know. Ilsidur would. But he remains no more than a wooden doll.
Suddenly, openings appear on either side of the tunnel, cracks nearly as large as the tunnel through which the group travels. In the light from the party's many glowing objects, though, it is clear that all of them are dead ends, and the group passes on.
The tunnel curves left, then curves right. Jaeden watches the rear with Lady Silverhand. They have passed so many alternate tunnels. At least one of them has not been thoroughly explored. Could something come up from behind the group?
The tunnel loses its curve, traveling straight for a count of almost 800 feet. The light ahead shows another sharp bend in the tunnel, this time veering left. This time, however, something lies crumpled upon the tunnel floor. Closer inspection reveals ... a pile of bones. A complete skelleton. Short fangs in the mouth, a heavy brow ridge, thick arm and leg bones mark this as either orc or half-orc. All trace of flesh and clothing are long gone. This is an old corpse. None of the bones, arms, legs, ribs, skull, none of them are broken.
Just beyond the skeleton, the tunnel branches again. Left and Right. Savin cautiously explores both. Both continue beyond the 100-foot mark. Sly drops his piece of silk once again. It flutters left. Then it flutters right. Then a stray current catches it and sweeps it back in the direction from which they had just come. Inconclusive results. Either Left or Right could be the correct path.
Almost 11 minutes has passed since entering the tunnel.

Both Sly and Luke watches Savin going down the left tunnel.

Since you can communicate with everyone, tell them that if the Club goes out you will be slowly making your way to me and I will re-light it. No need to panic down here."

The Trai of Bodiesl (DM/Al) d4=2 Thursday February 16th, 2006 8:24:31 PM
The lone skeleton gives no clues as to which direction the group should take. Even if were asked, how would it know where the Children of Chaos would need to go? They scarcely know themselves. On gut instinct alone, Savin takes the Left branch.
Peerimus shifts to the form of a Giant Octopus again. Almost immediately, his skin begins to itch. Again, he feels weak and sickly. He gives calming assurances of more magic in store to those who share Firn'gaer's Telepathic Bond. Don't lose hope. Hopefully this journey will not last too much longer. Hopefully.
Jaeden draws a handaxe. The *clink* of metal against stone is loud, transmitted through the water as he makes his mark against the tunnel wall.
The party moves forward up the Left branch.
140 feet further on is another discovery, more bones. This time it's a cluster, four distinct skeletons, all small humanoid creatures. They all died in each other's arms. Further down, at the edge of the light is another pile of bones. This one turns out to be a large four legged creature, possibly feline.
At this point, *another* divide can be seen down the tunnel. Right and Left. Another choice. But this time, the direction is clear. At least a direction is clear. The trail of bodies leads up the left hand branch. At least seven different creatures of different types and sizes make a trail like dropped bread crumbs up the Left hand branch.
The tunnel curves gently to the left. It turns gently to the right. Then finally, there is a sharp right-hand curve of the tunnel before it opens out into a broad grotto. The Daylight from Peerimus' club throws a bright illumination across a 60 to 80 foot bowl of some 20 feet deep. Up above is a flat reflective surface that can only mean the presence of air on the other side. This must be a pool, an underground pool. No light shines down from above. Beyond the surface is only darkness.

Peerimus moves up quickly to surface as Savin does in case of an immediate threat. His tentcles have a mighty reach and could occupy opponents while the others scramble out. Yorrick remains close, just poking his head through the surface.

The Circle (DM/Al) Saturday February 18th, 2006 10:39:11 AM
Savin rises to the surface. Water runs quietly away, plastering his hair to his head as he breaks the divide between below and above. He blink as water, previously simply everywhere, now becomes a moving sheet, tickling his eyes. The pool glows. Lit from below by the party's many magic globes and torches, it is as though the water itself gives off a mist composed solely of wavering luminescence.
Above is dark. And silent.
Down below, Sly, Luke, and Father Jasper float within the still water of the brightly lit pool. The sloping sides of the pool are unmarked and unblemished rock. There are no places to hide here from the party's light, and nothing but the party is present.
Peerimus the Giant Octopus and Yorrick drift to the surface. Sly, Luke, and Father Jasper follow. The water around Savin fills with the rising forms as they emerge into the silence of the air above. Firn'gaer and Jaeden remain in reserve with Lady Silverhand riding behind the warrior, her arms still wrapped about his waist.
"Peerimus, wanna turn into a bat and look around?"
For the first time since the descent from above, Savin speaks, filling the silence of the cave with his voice. The monk's voice is flat and quiet, indicating a space beyond the darkness large enough not to readily return an echo. The single sentence hangs alone and lonely within the vastness beyond.
"Uh ... Hello?"
An answer.
"Hello? Who's there?"
A voice. From out of the darkness, there's a voice. To Father Jasper, the voice rings with familiarity. And even through the distorting medium of water, both Jaeden and Lady Silverhand recognize it as well. Images of darkness come back to them, voices speaking, this was ... just before they appeared in a strange land, taken from the places they knew to join this group that shares their mysterious tattoo.
"Is that you? At last? Just like she promised!" The voice is filled with hope and edged with a mounting excitement. But who's voice is it? Who is speaking? Those on the surface orient upon the sound. A spot just up from the edge of the pool, illuminated by the spill of light from below. But no one is there. Nothing. Wait. What's that? Lying on the ground? It stands out from the surrounding rock only by virtue of its regularity. A circle. From this angle, nearly as large as Yorrick's head.
"It was such a long wait this time," the Circle says to the Children of Chaos.

Loquacious - DM Addendum (DM/Al) Sunday February 19th, 2006 9:26:47 AM
Sly Foxx is the first to step up followed by Luke and Father Jasper. Well, with the Freedom of Movement spell, they step right out of the water as though climbing a gentle slope. Now standing at the edge of the pool, the Bladesinger can see the circle more clearly. It's a simple ring of plain bronze metal, showing neither the tarnish of age nor the sparkle of newness. Sly's estimate of its size would be two feet in diameter, with the ring itself some inch in thickness.
While Luke paces the hard rocky ground at the edge of the pool, sniffing for a trail, Sly addresses the darkness around the ring. To the ear, aside from the *sniff*sniff*sniff* of Luke's nose, there is nothing but stillness. To the eye, there is only the rock of the cave, the ring on the floor, and the darkness. Even to the nose, there is no smell of unknown presence within a 30 foot range. At the edge of the water, though, Luke snuffs and lifts his head.
"Salty smell. Like the Kraken" he whispers. And sure enough, the stone at the edge of the pool bears a very faint white discoloration, as though from dried saltwater.
"I'm here! On the ground! I'm the Circle of Far and Away. But call me Faraday. I like that. Eevie Handspeeker gave me that name. Poor Eevie. Um, and lets see ... Oh yeah. 'She.' She is Lady Wisdom. You know Lady Wisdom? Don't know if you've met her yet. But you will though. They almost always do. Meet all of them. Mostly curious. But wanting help. I guess that's only natural."
The cascading spill of verbiage can now be clearly attributed to the ring on the floor. There is nothing else there that could possibly be speaking.
That voice. The moments of dream, before waking upon the streets of Gold Level drift back to Father Jasper's mind ... the small sound of water, water lapping against stone. " ... sdom? ... nother ... oon, please ... ther away ... " This is the voice. They are the same.
"Children of Chaos, eh? Is that what you call yourself this time? Nice. Has a nice ring to it. Much less heavy handed than The Saviours of Freedom and Independence. Now there was a fun bunch. Like, *NOT*. Boy, I was happy to get two words out of them every other day. It's like there was nothing else in the Wold but their mission, you know. Well, not that it isn't important and all. But, come on. Have a life."
"But, everything's fine. Now that you're here. I tell you though. It was hundreds of years this time. Maybe thousands. Maybe gazillions! Who counts after the first hundred anymore, right?"
"Oh. Hi. I see you got the old guy? Did you get the girl too? And the fighter and his horse?"
"Um ... so where do you want to go now?"
Savin Sunday February 19th, 2006 2:38:35 PM
Savin swims over to the island and pulls himself up onto the land. He unconciously wipes the water dripping from his hair away from his eyes. He walks over and looks down at the circle. "Hello, My name is Savin. You seem to know us." The statement comes out as a question.
He sits down indian style looking around. "You mentioned a mission? Do we have a mission? All we seem to do is flash around the Wold, never knowing where we are going to end up. It usually involves dangerous monsters and unfortuanately quite a bit of pain."
Savin pulls out the artifact that he is carrying and continues, "Maybe you can tell me what this thing does. Seems you have been around for a while. They call it the Bane of Seribon. They call you Faraday hmmmmm. That is a nice name." If it seems Savin is babbling, well he has never talked to a circle before.
And On And On - DM Addendum (DM/Al) Sunday February 19th, 2006 3:20:42 PM
Savin climbs from the water next. The club with Peerimus' Daylight spell upon it is still in the monk's hand and it lights the cavern, banishing the darkness. Once on dry land, he can see the pool behind him. It is confined to an oval of roughly 60 to 80 feet. On the far side of the pool, the rock of the cavern wall rises up to a height of at least 30 feet. To the opposite side, the cavern stretches away for nearly 90 feet. The far wall can be seen in shadows at the edge of the Daylight spell's Dim light limits. No other exits can be seen.
"Hello, Savin. That's a nice name too." The circle greets the monk in quite the cheerful voice. "Of course I know you. Well, not you, personally *you*. But lots and lots of groups like you down through the ages. Different names, different faces, but with the same purpose. All of you. You decide the fate of everything. You mean they haven't told you yet? The Crones? Well, maybe they haven't had time this time. They can only reach so far. Limited resources. That's why they need me sometimes. To help them out. You can ask them when you see them. They always show up. Eventually."
"Hey! You found Seribond! That's Amulet of Seribond, by the way? Where'd you get the Bane thing? But yeah, well it does sort of work that way. Cuts the Big Guy way down to size. If you get old Seribond around his neck, he can't change things anymore. If you don't have Seribond, you're in for a lot of trouble. You know, it's a good thing he doesn't remember that you do this each time. Otherwise you'd have a heck of a time getting that on him."
"Well that's great. That's just great. Two down and three to go. There's me, Seribond, Noxnyx, Xaos, and Atman. Once you've got all of us together, I can take us to the Formless Place and we can do this thing. How close are we, by the way? Things pretty bad outside? I tell you, it is so cut off from things inside a cave. Even the few living sentients I managed to snag and pull ... oops ... you didn't hear that."
Sly and Luke Monday February 20th, 2006 5:20:34 AM
"Oh! Great! Taraday here was sent by Lady Wisdom! Firh'gar would you do me a favor? Would you use you looking glass on this talking Circle here? I want to make sure that he blong to us before I jump in!!" ask Sly.
Luke tells Fr. Jasper "And You Thought Thing Was Going To Be Dull!" Luke gives the talking Circle a couple snifs, Thinking that this party will take time to gather themselves together before jumping into the circle, so the decides to take a nap.
Peerimus and Yorrick Monday February 20th, 2006 8:07:34 AM
If he could, Peerimus would have a great smile upon his face. He knows a certain wizard does. A sentient artifact, about as fantastic as you can get. It's size is a bit cumbersome, but that may change. A great tentacle reaches out of the water and picks up the ring. Another tentacle points to Sly, Luke and Savin in turn and then touches the water a few times. Peerimus then reaches out to take his club back as he sinks back into the pool.
Sly and Luke (Part 2) Monday February 20th, 2006 1:28:42 PM
Sly watches Peerimus(in his Fishie Shape), turn to Savin and pushes sleeping Luke, Telling then "Well I think that Peerimus and Yurrick wants us in the water again!"
Sly goes to the edge and dives in.
Luke upon hearing that Yurrick want him?? Get's up and run into the water, doooing a beautiful Belly Flooop!"
Savin Monday February 20th, 2006 2:23:53 PM
Savin will sigh when he sees the tentacle grab the ring and stand up. "Peerimus, I was talking to that! Your just being rude!" Rigging will look around the little island hoping to find something else and then jump back into the water.
Back to the Surface (DM/Al) Monday February 20th, 2006 10:30:50 PM
"Whoa!" With a long tentacle, Peerimus the Giant Octopus lifts the Circle of Far And Away up of the ground. The Circle is no heavier or lighter than a metal ring of that size would be.
"Pets! Dog, bear, giant octo ... No, that's not right. You're a Druid, aren't you. And the dog talks. That t nwl iw tist. Bloob eee tktk glub eeWw." Faraday continues to chat away as Peerimus pulls him under the surface of the pool.
(You may do one of the following: INT vs DC25; The number of Languages that you plus a D20 vs D20; Knowledge Arcana vs DC15 for Highlight to display spoiler: {You know that the language that Faraday is chattering on in is Aquan.})
Sly, Luke, Savin, and Father Jasper follow Peerimus back into the water and the Children of Chaos withdraw.
(I'm making assumptions on your intent here.)
The sentient artifact that calls itself Faraday continues to talk away, even underwater, even though no one seems to respond. The group exits the pool through the tunnel, headed back the way they came. Faraday's chatter stops in mid-sentence as the first of the bodies comes into view. The tunnel takes on a great weight of solemnity without the cheerful, if unintelligible, voice, as the party moves past each of the skeletal remains.
The rest of the trip out is reasonably uneventful. The Circle speaks no more. In a short while, Firn'gaer changes suddenly. No longer a Scragg, he reverts back to a gnome. Though still able to breath in the water, he swims like a slug and must be carried. Shortly thereafter, Father Jasper loses the ability to Fly. The Cleric of Alemi sinks like a rock. He too must be carried. Dalek too loses flight. Though the horse fares better than the human cleric. Dalek's natural strength keeps him swimming along. More slowly, but afloat at least. Jaeden finds, that with the Freedom of Movement spell, he can simply walk along by Dalek's side with Lady Silverhand behind him, her arms about his neck.
And so the group finds themselves back above in their Swan Boat. The sun is still shining. It's nearly noon. The artifact has said nothing since the first part of the tunnel at the bodies.
Savin Monday February 20th, 2006 10:53:19 PM
Savin will help everyone get back into the boats and then haul himself aboard. He looks at the horse and wonders how to get him in and if he will fit. He decides to leave that problem to the more intelligent members of the party.
He will call over to the ring in Peerimus's hand. "You were saying that we had two down and three to go. I think we have three if you count Firn'gaers item Show the ring Firn'gaer. You mentioned an entity we seemed destined to confront. Who and What is this thing that it takes 5 artifacts to defeat?"
Sly and Luke Tuesday February 21st, 2006 7:35:30 AM
As Sly helps Luke aboard the swan boat, Luke ask "Wheres Yorrick?" Sly point to Peerimus (with the ring)and of course the bear next to him. Luke answers "Will ring fit in here?" Sly answers "I don't know, but get ready to go into the water again!"
Sly will help anybody {who needs help) get into the boat, but when it comes to the leader, Sly ask "Where to now Peerimus?"
Firn'gaer Tuesday February 21st, 2006 8:25:26 AM
Returning to the magical boat, Firn'gaer finds time to contemplate his questions for the chatty ring. "Proper introductions now that I can speak in return. My name is Firn'gaer Gyddyn, I am a wizard of the Star Mages Guild or at least I will be until my dues run out in a few months."
"I am the bearer of the Vision of Noxnyx. As I'm sure you are aware it allowed us to find you as well as Seribond." He says to the sentient ring. "I think I am familiar with the roles of Noxnyx, Seribond and if I'm to understand what was spoken earlier you role is to open the way to where the Destroyer sleeps or as it was put show the way. What are the reasons for...what are their names...Xaos and Atman. To what purpose are they required? I would assume one would be used to awaken the Destroyer, but what of the other?"
"Also, who or what created you and your brethran? Was it the witches or another? And if another, who? The history has been lost or held secret. I'd like more knowledge about this gift I've been bestowed."
"Do you know where we go next, before the Bell whisks us to locations unknown?"
Peerimus and Yorrick d20+3=21 Tuesday February 21st, 2006 2:30:28 PM
Peerimus nods as he scoops up the ring as his answer and disappears back into the water. Savin will survive his rudeness he was sure. "We will have plenty of time back on the surface and I would like to get there before our spells keeping the others alive fail."
The ring shifts to Aquan They swim past the bones and the ring falls silent. It mentioned trying to bring others. Likely via the Kraken and now it see first hand the results. It is good to see remorse exists with it. Spells fail and Peerimus does his best to help Jasper Firngaer out and finally the surface.
Assuming Firngaer can not already remedy the situation with Dalek, Peerimus will use Animal Growth upon himself and lift the horse into the boat an any others in need of assistance in that department.
Peerimus will be the last in, returning to human after placing the ring in the boat when he does so. "Barring the mighty tolling of the bell we should set coarse back to Floating City. In that direction lies food, supplies, possibly another night or two of rest, a civilizied place to leave Silverhand and any other who wish to forego this quest."

As Savin and Peerimus break the pools surface Jaeden does as well.
As Sly and Jasper approach he stays in place and quiet, taking in what the ring has to say. His eyes narrow at the rings slip of the tongue but like peerimus he is relieved to see the appearant remorse.
Once back at the boat the warrior stays in the water with Dalek until Peerimus grows and deposits the animal onboard. Once the deed is accomplished he accepts the giant creatures assitance is climbing back aboard himself.
Peerimus calls for a return to the Floating City and to that Jaeden simply nods. For the most part he remains quiet, contemplating this latest occurance.
Next? (DM/Al) Tuesday February 21st, 2006 8:36:37 PM
Back up in the Swan Boat, the artifact's voice returns as though from a well of deep thought.
"The Avatar," it says to Savin in reply. "Chaos. Given form. That's ... I didn't ... " The Circle gives an audible sigh, and it's not clear exactly what it is speaking of when it next speaks. "That's some pretty heavy metal to smack down on, if you know what I mean."
The ring is quiet for yet another moment.
"Of course, it all depends on how Chaotic things have gotten. The longer you let things go the stronger It is when you call It, you know? But I think you have the whole concept wrong. Seribond is really the only thing that helps you defeat It. The whole thing, it's more about ... helping to manage the cosmos."
"Hello, Firn'gaer Gyddyn, wizard of the Star Mages Guild. ... Huh? ... You have Noxy? You've gotten Noxy already? Why didn't you say so?!?! Noxy and me, we're a team! I love Noxy. He's my eyes, my window on the Wold! You know, it's always more comforting to go someplace when you know where you're going, don't you think? For the most part."
"So, you've got me and Noxy and Seribond. Right? Xaos, she's a Chime. Once we get to the Formless Place, you have Xaos call the massed superabundance of Chaos together into material form, into the shape of the Avatar. There's no controlling it otherwise. Then, once you've defeated the Avatar, Atman will Resurrect Chaos and scatter it about the ... well about everything. Atman's a shroud. Very dour. Not very communicative."
"They really haven't told you much this time, have they? You know, each time I see you I'm struck by the differences. But, then again, it makes perfect sense. Infinite variety within infinite repetitions of a motif Chaos mated with Law. Makes you think. We've always been around Firn'gaer Gyddyn. As have you. Or some variation of you. Or maybe just the spark inside of you, passed down from generation to generation flowing from persons to persons like water that collects in very promising pools. It's hard for me to separate you from the spark."
"The Crones, they pass their spark down through history too. Did you know that? Not always the same person. Nope. They'll tell you that. You should talk to them sometime. I think you'd get along. Not that you always have. But I think you might this time."
"Hmmm?" The Circle pauses as though wakening from distant personal reverie. "Next?" It asks. "Bell?"
"Um, no. I think you have things wrong here. If the Bell were coming for you it would have come by now. The Bell and me, we don't get along too well anyway. No, if you want to go somewhere, I'm it. Maybe we ought to bring Noxy out and ask him where we need to go next?"
Fr, Jasper (Sub Ceil) Tuesday February 21st, 2006 9:15:55 PM
The cleric sits in the boat with both hands on the edge, he wonder as to how are we going to move this boat. He listens to the ring, wondering as to how he is to fit in with the rest of Well Err! asorted people?? He just sit there being very quiet, When Sly sits beside him, "Don't worry." Sly told him, We'll get to where there some how! Wait and see." Now Luke lays down ant his feet, "mmm" the cleric mutters,"that feel good and warm."
Savin Tuesday February 21st, 2006 9:37:05 PM
Savin listens to the ring speaking and gets more and more depressed. In a sarcastic voice, he says, "Oh all we have to do is fight the avatar of chaos. Didn't we sort of just do that? The Fey King? We've done this for generations? How did I get chosen for this circus? Why mw?"
Peerimus and Yorrick Wednesday February 22nd, 2006 2:21:55 PM
The druid begins nodding as the Circle keeps going on, "of Course, the Circle shows the way. When Firngaer locates the next piece, we can then step through the circle like a gate. thebell was being employed to assist in getting this far, but now we would no longer need it. Better yet we have far more control over when we leave where." Looking at the circle, "I think we can leave 'Noxxy' right where he is for now. I have a different question for you. Can you take us to a place other than near one of the artifacts, and how detailed can you get?"
Looking at Savin's crestfallen face the druid puts his hand on his shoulder, "Unless your memory is far better than mine, I would say we have not done this for generations. As to the rest?" Peerimus shrugs, "The Fey King, Father Wold, the Creator, or Ebyron. What we did in that regard was not a matter of Choas vs Law. We were helping a very distraught and angry being to come to grips with what has been done and to learn to accept it and not to lash out in blinded rage."
Peerimus moves to the front of the boat and leans into the wind caused by the moving ship, to be alone with his thoughts on the matter.

Savin looks up at Peerimus and says, "Have you given any thought to what happens after we face this beast? Are we done? Do the tattoos go away? Are you going to go back to the forest and contemplate trees or something?"
Savin address the ring once again, "We all have these tattoos. It seems they can give us aid when we are in trouble but they also have faded away when we accomplished a task. Do you understand how they work? Did our past incarnations have them?"
Sly Foxx and Luke Wednesday February 22nd, 2006 7:16:34 PM
Sly looks as if he's asleep,But not really. He listens to the conversation between Peerimus and Savin, He cannot help himself, he has to know! "Yes! Peerimus ask the ring! How do we know if someone Is Called by the Witches? At least when we saw the Tattoos we knew right away that he was one of Us. I can see Taraday taking us to our next job! Is this Ring going to spew out a new party member? Just ask him Please?"
Jaeden Ohm Wednesday February 22nd, 2006 7:24:01 PM
Contrary to Savin's mounting depression Jaeden become's increasingly at easy. He is no more thrilled then the monk about facing the avatar of chaos... but for the first time since being whisked away to the floating city things are beginning to be clear.
He adds no questions of his own to the various inquiries, but listens closely to all that is said.
Fr, Jasper (Sub Ceil) Wednesday February 22nd, 2006 7:25:33 PM
Jasper listens to his new companions, he sences that the whole party is on edge. So he ask this trio, "Well then! Tell me more about you Children of Chaos, How did you travel before the ring? Also as to why I was taken to be with all of you? It would be most interesting to me?" He sits back petting petting Luke.
Luke ash the Frier, "A little to the left and behind the ears! Please!" then closes his eyes again.
Firn'gaer Wednesday February 22nd, 2006 7:45:50 PM
Firn'gaer listens and takes in all the sentient artifact says. "I see." He says stroking his beard. "I assumed the others weren't sentient as well. What your saying is that Noxnyx is and I could converse with it?"
"We did meet them, once. They didn't really say much. Just gave us the quick tour of what our task is and then we were gone. I guess that's why we have you now...fill in some of the gaps."
"Why do the marks change?" He says after Savins's comment. "Are WE ever able to tap into the power purposefully or is it always accidental?"
Questions, questions questions (DM/Al) Wednesday February 22nd, 2006 9:00:22 PM
"Well it's not so ... That is yes, I can ... Ha! After you ... Called by? ... Well, I' really ... " The Circle of Far And Away flips from question to question, never quite getting out a full answer to anyone.
"Wait, wait, wait. This always happens. Alright. Let me take this one bit at a time."
"Let me start from back to front. Just because. Er ... where were we? Oh. The marks. Power and the marks. hehe. Power. So many of you ask about Power. What you have isn't really power. It's Destiny. You are marked by Fate. Marked for greatness. You always bear the marks every time. They're your badges of Honor. And they reflect Fate's influence on you as you, in turn, influence it."
"Sometimes the marks, the tattoos, they seem to intercede. But that's just Fate taking a hand in things. Fate is fickle, though, you know. At least, I've never been able to figure it out ... Who's the Fey King?"
"Nevermind. Anyway, you're the brightest stars of your generation. The strongest threads of destiny run right through you. Oh, sometimes these threads break. Sometimes you just die. Sometimes, the Crones, they lend a hand. Sometimes they're too weak. This time, they're not doing too bad a job. They found me, and were able to point out You and You and You. Without the pointer, I wouldn't have known where you were or where to put you."
"I haven't heard from them since the last one. But, I can take you where you want to go. Just need to know where that is. Have to be able to picture it. Well, I don't have to. But, lets just say you might not like the results if I tried things blind. And that's where Noxy comes in. We ... talk. In a sense. First of all he's ... he's *not* *really* *very* *smart*, and no one else seems to be able to talk with him but me. Don't tell him I said that. He gets his feelings hurt."
"Anyway, it's an nice set up. Unfortunately, Noxy sees mostly in the lines and nodes of fate, and that's hard to translate into physical location. Generally, it's safer to go where the nodes are strongest, and that's mostly the lot of you or others like you. Or it's the Five of Us."
"Did you know that you hold the fate of the entire continent in your hands? It's your actions that reset the balance of power throughout the land. Then, after that ... well, I don't know. Seems I always leave you after you're done with the Avatar. All of us do. We go off. To wait. Again. Year upon year. Not quite sure what happens to you. Though I suspect you mostly go off somewhere and have families. The ones of you who don't die. Otherwise, where would the next group come along sometime down the line, eh? Sure would like to know sometime. But, that's never my fate."
"Yup. Well, want to be off?" Hum-dum-dee-dum. The Circle of Far and Away sings a tuneless song to itself.
Jaeden Ohm Thursday February 23rd, 2006 12:54:19 PM
Jaeden releases a small but heartfelt laugh at the rings chatter. He breathes out a long exhalation and relaxes for the first time in days, finally able to accept the reality of the situation now that explanations are clearer.
He sends a gentle tendril of thought, tinged with wonder, towards Dalek and thinks how strange and wonderous this new bond is. Until now he hadn't really thought too much about it.
Dalek responds with a whicker.
With a grin now writ large upon his face the warrior relaxes and rests agains the side of the swan boat, allowing the heat of the day to lull him into half sleep.
Sly and Luke Thursday February 23rd, 2006 4:12:03 PM
Sly put his hands behind his head, Relaxes watching the clouds drift by. His thoughs drift from the fisrt time he met the five witches. He remembers that all he wanted is an answers of a whole village and it's people vanish into thin air? The Crowns wanted him to do them a favor, Then the Bell of Chaos Rang, and he's been a child of chaos ever since. The motion of the boat makes Sly Sleepy.
Luke lies between Sly and Jasper. Napping all the while.
Fr. Jasper (Sub Ceil) Thursday February 23rd, 2006 4:17:39 PM
Jasper is supprised at a dog talking, But again there's been nothing but suprizes on this adventure. "I cannot wait to see what come up next?" Then he too drift off into a light sleep.
Peerimus and Yorrick Thursday February 23rd, 2006 4:59:14 PM
Yorrick stakes out a section and commences napping and allowing the sun to dry his fur. Peerimus stays wrapped in conversation with the Circle. "Excellent then," and looking to Savin some control now at least for us. At least to the parts of when we depart and to where."
The rest of it, Peerimus listens to, but does not bother to respond. Were he in a cave for years he would probably be chatty as well. So it really does not bother him. "Well I do think introductions then all around are warranted, I am Peerimus and that is Yorrick. We have Sly and Luke, Savin, Jaeden and Dalek, Father Jasper, Firngaer and the quiet one is Siilverhand. As to where now, we are going to ride this ship to Floating city. likely we will spend a few days at the Giggling Ghost relaxing and then we shall see what Nox can see."
Father Jasper Thursday February 23rd, 2006 6:09:54 PM
Witha hand on Luke and Jasper recites the following to the group " In Well, I don't know what will happen now. We've got some difficult days ahead. But it doesn't matter with me now. Because I've been to the mountain top. And I don't mind. Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will. And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people will get to the promised land. And I'm happy, tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord
With that he fall silent, stroking Lukes fur and gazign off in the distance

Savin Thursday February 23rd, 2006 9:33:28 PM
Savin stands up and stretches. "I am wondering if we saw everything down there. I am going to go back and do a quick scan of the complex again. Would hate to leave loot behind. Does anyone have any light I can use? Firn'gaer, Jaeden, I thought one of you had some continual light rocks?"
Savin will take any light source offered, pull out his pearl reactivating it if neccessary and plunge into the water. Savin swims strongly for the caves. He will follow the markings Jaeden made and make new ones when he explores an unexplored cave or tunnel. When he finds the skeletons again, he will search them closely. After exploring the caves, he will return to the boat showing the group anything he found if anything.
Lazy Afternoon (DM/Al) Thursday February 23rd, 2006 10:12:42 PM
There's something about ... Knowing.
Even a future that will most assuredly be filled with pain, struggle and death, even such a future once Known and Known to be noble, brings Peace of Mind.
The noon day sun shines down upon the water. As presaged earlier in the day, the weather is Hot. Heat Wave Hot. But, after the cold of the lake depths, the heat brings a drowsy comfort. And how could either the cold or the hot harm any of the Children of Chaos with the Endure Elements spell still upon them?
Peerimus calls for several days of rest and relaxation.
Father Jasper delivers words to grace the day, words that echo across times and across worlds.
"Greetings Peerimus. I knew you were a druid. And Yorrick, you're a bear aren't you?" Some snuffling noises come from the Ring and Yorrick pricks up his ears and looks around for the source. "Hello, Sly. Hello Luke. Savin. Hello again. Jaeden and Dalek. Yes we've met. Nice to have your names this time. Father Jasper, greetings. We've met too. Firn'gaer Gyddyn, nice to be formally introduced. And Silverhand. Nice to see you again. And might I add that you *feel* very attractive."
"Floating City, huh? Never heard of it. But, then again, things are never much the same from time to time. So much time goes by, you see. 'Time is the great equalizer,' is what I always say. I'd take you there. To Floating City. But I'm not real sure where it is. It's not near Turak Nor, is it? Of course, Turak Nor is probably nowhere near the place Turak Nor was either now, I'm sure. But that's the point then, isn't it?"
As the Circle talks, Savin borrows a source of everburning light from one of his companions and heads back to the cave. He follows the tunnel, tracing the marks cut by Jaeden's axe. Many of the bones that Savin examines belong to animals. The humanoids that he examines have bits of clothing still upon them. They come apart in his hands. The bones speak with soft muffled clicks as Savin sifts through them. There is a rusty piece of metal that might once have been a utility knife of some sort, it's wooden handle long rotted away. In the end, though, all Savin returns with is a pocket full of sadness.
Meanwhile, up above, the afternoon wears on.
"Things sure feel peaceful. I think you might have caught things early this time. Maybe you won't have such a hard time of it."
And the Circle talks on.
=== OOC ===
DM's Request: I'd like nothing better than to give you a few days down time in Floating City. A few weeks even. I'm personally of a mind that Characters need lots of time for their characters to grow. And adventure after adventure compressed into short weeks of game time that equates to months and years of Real Time just is not the way to do it.
However, I've got JK waiting to come into the game. And bringing him in, whether it be in either the middle of the lake or in the midst of a rebuilding Floating City would break a great deal of the game logic. So, I'm asking you to let the Circle of Far and Away take you to the next destination. To do that, it needs to talk to the Vision of Noxnyx. Could you let that happen, please?
There will be down time. But I have to get JK into the game.
Savin Thursday February 23rd, 2006 10:43:09 PM
Savin pulls himself onto the boat and flops onto his back. "Sorry folks, nothing down there."
After listening to some of the conversation, he says, "We really aren't supposed to go back to the Floating City. We promised Lubruis that we wouldn't. I am curious to see where we are supposed to go next. Firn'gaer, why don't you let your artifact talk to the ring. Might as well find out where we need to go."
Sly and Luke Friday February 24th, 2006 7:23:30 AM
Sly who is only half asleep, Hears part of what Savin had spoken. "Peerimus! I think Savin has a point there. If this is the way we will be traveling, ay least for a while. Let Fern-gare put Noxie with Taraday and let them talk to each orther? I would like to see pops out of the ring?" Sly gives a little chuckle, "Chuckle! Chuckle!"
Luke just sturs into a better position to get scratch.
Jaeden OHm Friday February 24th, 2006 12:34:50 PM
The words being spoken by the children float through Jaedens mind as he lulls in half sleep.
Father Jaspers recitation catches in his mind and runs it's course, creating small eddies of thought as it passes through. The warrior is just about to rouse himself and speak to the priest when Savin speaks up and presses for a departure to somewhere other then the floating city.
Thoughts of the divine quickly vanish as once again practical concerns push themselves to the forefront.
He stands and stretches.
"I'm good with pushing forward. And Savin's right, we may find a less than welcome return from some factions of the Floating City."
Firn'gaer Friday February 24th, 2006 12:55:35 PM
After bombarding the circle with questions and still many more to come, Firn'gaer decides that he has time and that further questions can wait.
"Shall we head to our next destination." He says. "Perhaps our next stop will be less confrontational."
With no objection, Firn'gaer will retrieve the Noxnyx from his bag.
Peerimus and Yorrick Friday February 24th, 2006 3:38:31 PM
Savin hits the water and the druid sighs. he then returns to the Circle, "Yes he is a bear. You *are* quick." the druid adds a wink at the end.
"Yes why not get under way then." the druid nods as most speak up on the matter." Savin is right on we certainly implied to Loribus and the others we would not be about to question or what not once we left."
Peerimus remains on the bow of the ship taking in the sun and open space, something told hime to bask while he could. But then again he always felt that way. Peerimus looks back to the gnome wizard with a smile full of mischief, "Yes I'm sure it will be friend."
"Tarraday? we can all step through or what not and leave Silvhand to return with the boat correct? Her mind is pretty shattered as it is. Dragging her off to who knows when civilization and a possible return for a true purpose for her is simply cruel beyond measure."
OOC we all want to get JK in the game, but as as not to pipe ourselves how about we fast forward a day so us spellcasters who burned an aweful lot of spells to get the ring can call in for more huh? Spell list assumes thier is agreement on this one
