Ceil, Jay
When do your games begin & what are the character creation rules? Can I have an idea of what the games are going to be about for when I create my characters?
Ceil I cant wait to be a winged halfling sharpshooter (with maybe a level of regular fighter for melee weapons.)
Jay B Tuesday May 9th, 2006 6:25:07 AM
I'll email my game rules shortly...
Ceil Tuesday May 9th, 2006 6:06:45 PM

Ceil, Jay used microsoft WORKS! Read below to see what kim suggested about works documents.
Kim d100=67 Monday April 24th, 2006 5:27:08 PM Just had someone send me a CS saved with *.wps. Bad! What you said, JK.
If you have Microsoft Works, go ahead and edit to your hearts content in native Works format. But if you're going to share the document with someone else, then do them the favor of converting it (by using Save As option) in .rtf (Rich Text Format), which just about any word processor can work with. Or in .txt format. I prefer RTF, though.
Jay B Wednesday May 10th, 2006 10:39:50 AM
I use what I'm familiar with. I'm not apologizing for it either. I don't usually FOLLOW the CROWD! So get use to the WORKS format... thats what I am using in my game. :) Cheers.

Jay, as you're the dm here are some game questions.
1. what time of year is it?
2. how much per pound for carrots, onions, potatoes?
3. per arms & equipment guide a portable game board weighs 1lb and costs 2g or up. I was wondering how much a game board of mother of pearl & ebony would cost?
Jay Thursday May 11th, 2006 6:56:03 AM
1. Fall harvest just happened. 2. Stew vegetables are plentiful and cheap just after harvest, mere coppers a pound. 3. Sounds like you want a masterwork game board... 50gp or so.
Keep in mind, please, that the gear you carry isn't the most important. Gold, and other currency, will need to be maintained. It is likely I'll be charging you for rooms or the like.
Also, where you are starting out is a lightly wooded area with large expanses of plains.
Rules are as follows...
Build 4th level character with starting experience fitting that level. Characters can be ANY alignment (but keep in mind that any evil acts will have repercussions.) Use basic 3.5 rules from the PHB, DMG, SRD, (other books may be added if needed). Use any core class or Woldian class. Use either the dice roller on the Woldian website or one of these sets of attributes... - Four 14's and two 10's. - Three 16's and three 10's. - Two 18's, three 10's and one 8.
Characters may start play with +1 magic item of their choice, either a weapon, armor, or ring. - Characters also get 5000 in starting gold. - Characters may also have a family heirloom important in some way to the character. - The heirloom may be of masterwork quality. It must have a lineage and back story however. (this item may never be enchanted. The DM may alter this ruling as he/she sees fit). The heirloom may start to take on traits of its own if the DM, that is to say, I, like the back story.
Feel free to use Monster races, but use the ECLs. Standard races as good as any. Exceptions may be made by DM who will consider game balance before allowing race. - Fey (none of which start play with instruments. You may give up all starting gold for your special instrument; ie the satyrs pipes, etc) - Planetouched are allowed. - Dragontouched are allowed. - Undead may be played (keep in mind that the background story will have to be GOOD and your PC will have to deal with the stereotypes.) - No plant creatures, constructs, dire animals, magical beasts or animals will be accepted, unless they are animal companions, familiars or special mounts.
Clerics have to worship a God from the DMG or Wold. There are no 'generic' clerics.
PC surgery will take place if necessary.
Jay B addendum to rules Thursday May 11th, 2006 8:59:21 AM
- Standard gnomes are rare. Forest gnomes are the most common. - Standard dwarves are most common, though other sub-races exist. - Elves are rare. Though, different sub-races exist. - All manner of halfling can be found. - Orc and Half orc are common, though, mostly in the southern kingdoms. - Lizard folk are seen mainly in the swamps of Azmo.

I need email addies for these folks.

Jay with further info Thursday May 11th, 2006 9:41:34 AM
Rangers, druids, clerics, bards, shamans (witches) and barbarians are dominate classes.
Rogues, wizards and sorcerers are few and rare. Some do exist.
Orcs are the major threat in this world, so half orcs, as good as they may be, will see their share of prejudgice/racism.
------------------------------ Acceptions will be made for players who have good back stories for their PC's

Jay b Friday May 12th, 2006 7:36:20 AM
Please, keep in mind, my rules keep evolving, so things might change. Thanks
Ceil Friday May 12th, 2006 8:01:30 AM
I don't know when I'll start, June or july. You enter as your self with the silver Wing Pin, and on the other side of the Tapestry You have a full set of wings, You'll be meeting two males they will take you to lern to fly and fight. When the story ends You fly out of the Tapestry and your wings will disapere.
Jay - Can I have a half Drow (Papa Dwarf/ Mama Drow)??
Jay to Ceil Friday May 12th, 2006 2:03:28 PM
You can have a Half-elf, with half-elf stats and your background. :)
There are no stats for half dwarves... though, I'm sure some odd and creepy mutant has been born. :(

Game Update:
They don't have a spot for my Tap until July, then the next one is October. I may not be ready by July.
Loretta Monday May 15th, 2006 4:45:02 AM
Jay, since you wanted to select the people playing anyways if there isnt a spot open when it's done then try playbyweb.
Ceil Monday May 15th, 2006 5:52:10 AM
That's all right jay, For you I'll waite.
Jay B Monday May 15th, 2006 10:50:07 AM

Game Update:
FROM JERRY.
Ahh. Thanks for explaining.
Let me remove this burden from your shoulders Jay. I declare that DMs in Taps can't promise slots to players. So tell them I refused that idea. They will have to sign up as normal and hope for a slot. Then they have to use a character idea that you will approve as playable in your scenario.
Jerry
