Reeling from the attacks on her person, Flea tumbles past two-swords (Timble=24), even as Grymash charges in. Taking up a position behind the bad guy, she slashes out with her weapon (Hit AC 29, 5 pts dmg, +10 if evil, +9 flanking dmg.)

As the ice dome falls, Murdock looks around for the other archer. (spot=21) Upon finding the other archer, the drow cast a horrific spell. Trellus sends out a wave of healing to catches three of the pack that need it.
Tishe' makes use of her own spells to try and make the archer in the sky drop his bow. She also has dropped the dome of ice so that the group has full control again.
Gilan feels the dome fall and sighs in relief. He still cuts in with his scimitar at the woman he faces but cannot get past her defenses. He does try to banter her off the field of battle but feels that it is a waste of time. Ciaran comes back in hard at the man wielding the double-sword and tries to pull him to the ground.
Jake makes it to his feet but is unable to get his own sword to make contact with his foe.
Grymash calls upon his own power and though his axe forms near the double-sword user. Once it gets closer to him it winks out and nothing is left to attack him. Grymash is already moving that way himself.
Flea moves in to assist those that are already fighting the double-sword user and finds her blade biting into flesh with some satisfaction. Though she does notice that all her magic has failed again.
Murdock sends a spell of his own to take care of the other archer that is still hovering over the grass.
Maria snarls as she unleashes a number of attacks upon the druid that she faces. Her swords work in tandem with each other to find all the gaps in his defense[hit: 26/33*crit27* and damage: 7/6*crit10*].
Double-sword finds himself being pulled to the ground by the wolf that is attacking his leg, as well as getting hit by another devestating attack. Even from his prone position he sends his blade cutting out at the feet of Flea[hit: 27/8/27/27 and damage: 5/10/9/9].
The archer in the air finds his bow suddenly greased but he is able to hold onto it. With murderous intent he sends his next volley of arrows at Tishe'[hit: 16/27/22 and damage: 12/12/8].
The archer in the grass has no problem it seems ignoring the sending of Murdock's. His bow comes up and sends a pair of arrows racing at the back of Grymash as he moves in at double-sword[hit: 26/28 and damage: 11/8].
A wall of ice sprouts into being, cutting off some of the group from double-sword. You notice the mage that is floating on the other side of the battlefield smiling.
The battlefield is a place of carnage already with a few bodies laying about. Flor is still laying upon the ground and bleeding out through the arrow in his chest. Faun is back in her normal human form and also laying upon the ground, a number of arrows in her back and with smoke still rising from her body. Rootrot is stunned by the falling of both his parents and wails his agony into the air.

Trellus can only watch helplessly as Tishe is cut down, and an ice wall cuts him off from most of the rest of the pack.
All he can think of is to keep fighting.
The cleric sends a ray of light slamming into the archer he can see. [Searing Light - rolled nat 20 on ranged touch attack, hit ac13 for possible crit. 29 hp damage. 51 hp if a crit]
OOC - p140 of PHB - a spell that requires an attack roll can score a critical hit. Also its a touch attack, maybe AC13 is good enough?

Although jakes sword does not hit the man, two swords still falls, to the wolf. Jake steps toward the fallen man and swings his sword twice. He also sees Gry attacking the man, good, get this killed move on to someone else.
Hit AC 8 and 5!!!!!
Jake is frustrated with his lack of swordsmanship in such a critical time. The poison coursing through his system seems to effect him vry badly.
Tishe' (AC 15 HP -19/56) Wednesday May 30th, 2007 5:46:14 PM
"Oh!", comments a surprised Tishe' as an arrow sprouts from her shoulder and chest. And then two more slash down and the brown-haired woman sprawls lifeless in a pool of blood.
[What is up? I have Tishe''s AC at 17 on the CS that I have. Unless it is outdated by that much she should still be alive...if barely. Just checking on something that did not fly with what I have.]
[SteveK: I updated Tishe's CS couple months ago and must not have sent to you; sorry. She had an amulet of natural armor+2 and a paripet of wisdom. Can't wear both and so Tishe' sold the amulet. Her AC is actually 15 without magical aid.]

Flea has been struck 7 times by two-swords and each cut has sent poison coursing through her small body. Overwhelmed by the toxins, the rogue succumbs and crumples to the ground, her holy short sword clutched in her hand she can barely breath.
Murdock: AC:22 (AC:18 + 4 Mage Armor) 13/35 Hp 8d6(5+2+6+6+6+5+6+3)=39 Wednesday May 30th, 2007 8:55:08 PM
Murdock see's the evil mage sneering in apparent delight as the ice wall springs into being. Tishe' has dropped, and the pack is in dire straits. The mage opens his spellbook, ripping a page out ( losing Lightning Bolt) and throws it straight at the sneering Mage. The bolt crackles through the air bearing down with its deadly energy upon the evil doer. (Dmg=39 Reflex=18 for 19)
The drow hopes this will be enough to be take the mage out. Murdock fully realizes that doing this is probably his last living act.

Gilan steps back and away from Maria with a smile spreading upon his face. His shape slowly starts to melt and soon in his place is a giant eagle that stands ten feet tall. His screech is loud as he calls for war upon the evil pack.
Ciaran growls low in his throat as he moves in on the downed man. He has waited for all the other strikes to land and then his teeth come for the kill.

Trellus can see things falling apart once again before him and he sends a ray of scorching energy at the archer in the air above the wall. His aim is dead on and does a serious amount of damage to the man, that is clear.
Grymash directs his holy axe straight up to go after the archer in the air. The axe climbs fourty feet into the air and takes a swing at the archer but misses. Grymash on the other hand is able to feel the bit of axe with flesh as his axes cuts into the prone man, though it does not kill him.
Jake makes another couple of feeble attacks but is unable to get anything to land, even with the man on the ground. The poison is really throwing him for a loop here and messing up his game it seems.
Tishe' is struck twice by arrows, the first one passing her by scant inches. Still it is enough to put her down and out of the fight, bleeding to death slowly.
Flea is taken down as well but it is from all the poison that her body is absorbing that puts her out of the fight. Though she can still hear and see all that is going on around her, she is unable to help out.
Murdock sends a bolt of pure energy at the mage, hoping to put him down or at least buy some time. He knows that his time is most likely limited and he will be eating grass himself soon...but he has to do what he has to do for the pack.
Gilan backs away and finds his wildshape ability is unaffected by the antimagic field as he slowly turns into a giant eagle. His cry pierces the air as he calls out for retribution on all the evil packmembers that they fight. Ciaran comes in fast and hard at the prone man, his teeth tearing at the man...trying to put him out of the fight.
Maria backs away from the changing druid and smiles as she slowly fades from sight. You get the idea that she has not abandoned the fight but is even now circling for a better vantage point from which to strike.
Double-sword grunts from the impact of the axe into his body but smiles as Flea goes down. His moment of victory is snatched from his face as the wolf comes in. The first bite tears at his face but the second one gets a good grip upon the man's head. With eyes bulging and fear written upon his face, if only for a few seconds, there is a sudden crack and the man goes limp.
The archer, above the icewall, floats a few feet back and sends a volley of arrows. He picks his targets well as he sends the first two arrows at Grymash[hit: 33/19 and damage: 5/11] and the last at Jake[hit: 24 and damage: 5].
The other archer on the far side of the grass cannot see totally what is going on but he fires off a pair of arrows at the giant eagle, that use to be a druid[hit: 28/16 and damage: 7/10].
The mage, not looking too good after the lightning, floats back away from the fight a few feet. He pulls back up a wand and aims it at Murdock with a grin, mouthing the words..."You die now." An arc of pure energy is soon streaming at Murdock[damage: 20, or Reflex DC 16 for 10 damage].
Both of the druids that you had decided to save are still down and bleeding, but you can still tell that they are alive...if barely. Anyway those that are close enough to be able to see the bodies will see shallow breathing for both of them. Rootrot is past anykind of help that could be given to the group as he is unable to do anything now. It is almost like he has gone dormant with the hurt and shock.

Murdock see's the mage mouthing his venomous word's, and as the energy ray from the wand streaks toward him. Only his drow heritage saves him from certain oblivion as he dodges the full brunt of the magic. (Reflex=19 WOOOOT!) Still, it is clear that he is critically injured. The drow limps 15 feet closer to Trellus and he calls out, "Trellus! Help me!"
The mage knows this is a battle to the death against his counterpart from the other pack. Murdock manages a manical smile of his own as he sends four missles of arcane energy barreling into the other mage. (Magic Missle = 17 Dmg)

Trellus grimaces. Things are looking sunbaked for the Bloodpack.
Murdock's call pulls him from his reverie, and he hurries to the dark elf's side, pulling another wand as he moves. Reaching the mage, Trellus taps him with the wand. [CSW - 25 hp healed]

Grymash feels the sting of hot poison enter his blood. It robs much of his strength. The wounds he takes from the arrows almost drops him. Although wobbly, Grymash keeps to his feet. He knows that he is probably taking his last stand. His only two options are: try and move out of the field or stand and fight. He'll probably not live long enough to cast his heal spell in the next six seconds (since he can only do ONE standard action or ONE move action this round). So Grymash draws an arrow. "GRY BE TIRED OF YOOZ AN DA ARROWS!!" Grymash then lets his arrow fly! He stands there awaiting his glorious death, facing his enemy, in the light of the Sargrass sun.

With a few powerful beats of his wings, Gilan takes to the air and slowly gains altitude. As he gets further into the air, his cry is heard once again. This time though he is in the middle of spellcasting as he surveys the battlefield.
Ciaran stalks around as he has let go of the dead man now. He has no targets that he can reach but puts himself in the way of poor Flea, using his own body to protect her. Other than his pack, he will growl at anyone else but not move away. A bolt of nature's pure furry slams down on the mage and arcs through the grass.

Murdock is able to escape most of the blast from the lightning. He moves and calls for aid from Trellus as he fires off a series of magic missiles of his own at the mage.
Trellus is starting to get really worried as the group is getting some serious beating here and they are still facing a good number of battle ready enemies. Still he moves over and sends healing into Murdock with a wand as he vows to take as many with him as possible.
Tishe' is in dire straights as she continues to lay on the ground and slowly bleed out. Will someone get to her in time or will she expire?
Jake moves over and looks up at the archer that is floating some fourty feet above him. He realizes once again why he hates magic or at least some magic.
Grymash uses the last of his strength to fire off an arrow at the archer fourty feet near his position. His arrow is true and strikes the man dead on. His axe is able to get in one solid hit as well, but misses the first time.
Gilan pumps his wings and lifts off the ground as he calls out for the powers that lay within his now shapeshifted body. He is not that high in the air but he is able to call down the first bolt of lightning from his spell, that slams into the wizard. Ciaran covers Flea with his own body for her protection and waits for something else to happen.
Maria's position is unknown at this time but you figure that she did not leave the battlefield.
The archer nearly above Jake now seems to falter for a few minutes and then he is racing down towards the ground. As he picks up speed you know that he must be nearly dead, Jake and Ciaran are both in the way of his body[damage: 24, Reflex DC 18 for half].
The archer on the other side of the clearing pulls up his bow again and sends a pair of arrows racing after the giant eagle that is now flying a ways in the air[hit: 24/27 and damage: 11/7].
The mage had been backing off even further when the magic missile slammed into him, but he was still smiling. He had just raised the wand up again to send out another bolt of lightning when he was struck from above by a different bolt. Surprise registers for a few minutes on his face as he jerks in spasms, then he falls to land in the grass.

Murdock sigh's in relief as the healing energy courses through his body, and he smiles at Trellus in thanks. Then the mage turns his attention back to the mage, preparing to do a massive damage, but before he can send another torrent of Magic Missles, the mage falls to the ground dead from another lightning bolt.
The drow now turns his attention to his dieing friend, Tishe'. He places his ebony black hands on the woman, and draws upon the healing magic within him. His tatoo's flare to life in bright white and blue colors before fading again. The drow feels the healing magic flow through him into the prone woman. (CLW Tishe' +8HP, stabalized)

Tishe' is drawing closer and closer to the cool oblivion. She is so close with a thin layer of blanketed green to pass through before she will see the other side and peace.
Murdock moves to heal Tishe', as the mage is no longer a threat to anyone. His healing is at least enough to bring her back from the edge and keep her from slipping further into the light.
Trellus, not being able to see the archer with the icewall in the way, he moves to add extra healing to Tishe' who has still not moved from what Murdock has applied to her. As he taps her with the wand in his hand he briefly touches her and can still feel the life beating in her body.
Jake finds himself slamed by a body that fell from the combined attack of Grymash and his axe. It hurt badly but he was able to keep on his feet and move, closer to the icewall and hopeful protection.
Gilan has finally reached an altitude of thirty feet from the ground and once again directs a stroke of lightning, but this time at the archer that remains. He is unsure if the man is going to run or is just giving himself room to work. Ciaran takes a glancing blow from the falling man but is able to at least shield Flea from getting hit. He continues to guard her as he waits for more things to bite.
Grymash is awed by the dropping body and does not do anything else but watch it. He winces when it slams into both Jake and Ciaran but he can do little about that.
Maria has been sneaking around all this time with the intent to get a little payback. With this in mind her shortsword drive in at the unprotected back of Trellus[hit: 27/30 and damage: 8/9 + 10/9 sneak attack]. Though he might feel the bite of blades he cannot see anything that would have hit him...though he might guess.
The archer backs away a little further and puts another two arrows in the air. They both speed towards Jake[hit: 27/28 and damage: 5/5]. It is unclear but it appears that the man might just be getting the idea to run.
Laying around the area is the carnage of the fierce fight that is still raging at this very minute. Bodies of enemies, friends and maybe new friends...lay scattered across the battlefield.

The hands of Murdock save Tishe' from the very brink of death, and the blonde cleric's touch returns her from consciousness. (healing 21 points) A sharp intake of breath and wide brown eyes, Tishe' sits bolt upright.
Despite the poison coursing through her viens (Fort: 6, 7 both fail), Tishe' recognizes the vicious strikes at Trellus but fails to see anyone materialize. Some quick passes, and she touches Murdock with a See Invisible spell. (1 action)
"Murdock," she says quickly, "any invisible foe will be on his last thread. Use my spell to strike our enemies down!"
Quickly looking down, she grabs again the healing wand that Trellus gave her. (move action)

Murdock's eyes adjust as the magic takes effect, and he searches for the evil-doer who struck Trellus down. The mage knows that if Trellus was attacked, he surely is next.
If Murdock see's Maria upon getting the see invisible spell from Tishe'.
Murdock see's the presumed leader of the otherpack, Trellus's blood bathing her swords, and he immediately sends four magic missiles at the attacker. (Concentration = 33) (Damage=16)
Assuming that does not drop the rouge.
Then Murdock ,fearful of getting backstabed like Trellus, moves toward the icewall 30 feet, trying to get his back agaist the cool surface of the wall. The drow shouts for Tishe' to do the same.
If Murdock does not see Maria
Murdock see's Trellus fall from his injuries, (Spot 23) and notices that there are several new angry wounds on Trellus's back. (INT Check =22) The drow understands that he and Tishe' are likely next. He cast fly (Concentration= 33) on Tishe' and tells her to get up in the air. The he backs up 30 feet, moving toward the icewall.

Bending down to one knee he checks to see if the man is still breathing.
Still staggering along the edge of consciousness, Grymash will either try to move out of the anti-magic field, OR if he realizes that he already is, then he will spontaneously cast his last and most power healing spell on himself.

Tishe' casts a spell and give Murdock the ability to see anything that is invisible. She grabs up the healing wand and will soon be trying to heal Trellus and get him back on his feet.
Trellus gets Tishe' back on her feet again but in the process is struck down from behind....a dirty trick.
Murdock can see Maria as she stands behind Trellus, or were he was standing at. He sends a series of missiles at her that will not miss and then starts to move towards the wall. He does call out a warning to Tishe' as he moves.
Jake is able to get near the wall and gets hit by ice chips as the arrows impact with the wall and not him. He gets to Flor and kneels beside him, checking for a pulse. The druid is breathing shallowly and you would guess not going to last much longer without attention.
Grymash uses his most powerful healing spell to help himself out and feels the magic flow into his body. He is already starting to feel a little better but not like he would have liked.
Gilan brings another bolt of nature's lightning down upon the retreating archer as his brother stands guard over Flea.
Flea seems to be comforted by the sudden protection of the large wolf of Gilan's. If she could she would be rousing the courage of her pack but cannot summon the strength to do much more than breath.
Maria feels the impact of the missiles upon her form and regards the mage with a knowing smile. She slowly moves in his direction and brings a single sword cutting at him[hit: 25 and damage: 9].
The archer moves a little further back as he puts up two arrows once again. Once is aimed for Grymash[hit: 16 and damage: 8] and the other for Jake[hit: 22 and damage: 11]. Though he seems to be having second thoughts as the lightning keeps slamming into him.

Murdock takes the hit from Maria's sword and is angered and relieved at the same time. The rouge seems to be toying with him, as a cat might toy with a mouse. However, the drow is relieved that he see's no more of her wicked blades than the single sword. He can already feel the poison from the woman's weapon making it's way up his arm.
Murdock manages a cocky smile at the woman, as he is propelled off the ground by a fly spell. (Defensively Cast Fly/ Concentration=24) Murdock easily rises 15 feet into the air, scowling menacingly at the woman. Tishe', he says loudly, get Trellus, I have this one. Those who know Murdock can already see the arcane fires dancing around his hands, and know a powerful and deadly spell is about to emerge.

Murdock is up off the ground in an instant and preparing for his next attack. He calls out to Tishe' to let her know that he has this taken care of.
Tishe' crawls and adds healing to the downed Trellus. She then pulls out another wand that should help in the combat.
Jake is just missed by another arrow as he fishes out a potion. He feels that time is critical as he gets the man, Flor, to drink it down. He can feel the pulse steady and the breathing, though shallow is regular.
Grymash is able to gather enough strength to put another arrow into the air. This has to be finished soon as he does not have much more in his tank anyways.
Trellus is suddenly back amongst the group, though laying upon the ground. Getting to his feet he is able to get another bit of healing into his body through his own spells. He calls out a few orders as he goes over the enemies in his head.
Gilan gets another bolt of lightning to strike the archer, who is now looking even worse. Ciaran is still protecting Flea, though he does lick her face a couple of times to see that she is ok.
Flea can feel dispair setting in as she cannot help or even see anything. She has a feeling that whatever gods had been favoring them, have turned to other pastures.
Maria rolls backwards and away from Murdock. She puts three daggers in the air at him as she does though[hit: 31/22/31 and damage: 5/5/5]. It does not look like she is ready to give up yet either.
The archer continues to back off and though he has a hard decision to make, you see him toss something into the air. Soon a bird is flying off away from him at top speed.

Though the mage is critically hurt, he ignores the wounds.(concentration=27) Concentrating as he summons a ring of fire into existance. (Wall of Flame, Damage directed into the inside of the ring.) The magic of the purple fire flows through him as a river, begging to be released. The mage sculpts the ring, summoning it to make sure that Maria is trapped along the inside edge, and in such a way as that it misses Tishe', Trellus, and the floating mage. The mage channels the heat from the fire into the inside of the ring, cackling with glea as the wall shoots up around Maria. The darkest member of the bloodpack, purposely seeking to burn the woman alive! (Fire Dmg=8)

Darkest Pack, 13. (DM Jim) Saturday June 9th, 2007 9:47:19 PM
Murdock finishes his spell as the daggers bite into him. A flaming circle appears around the invisible Maria. He sets it up so that the hot side is inside the circle and then floats the the ground calling for assistance.
Jake pulls out his emergency potion and uses it now on the ailing druid, Flor. He is happy to see the man move alittle in his arms and his eyes open. The man moans as he tries to get his bearings but does not speak yet.
Grymash sends off another arrow that thuds into the archer with a bit of force. The man seems to be fading fast but does not drop yet.
Trellus calls for healing for Murdock and he moves to dismiss the icewall. His spell takes hold and the wall drops as he calls out orders for the group on the rogue and leader, Maria.
Tishe' does not waste the time to stand and instead taps Murdock with the wand in her hand, then herself. Through the tear that she still shares with Grymash she sends him some of her own hitpoints in healing. She also calls for him to get to her for more healing.
Gilan drops another blast of lightning on the archers and is satisfied to see him go down into the grass, smoking. Ciaran attempts to drag the body of Flea towards those that can administer healing and gets a little ways.
Maria is the last and she knows it, as she has felt each of her pack die. Without a seconds thought she activates her last standby spell and flies straight up and out of the ring of fire. She surveys the battlefield and is not happy with what she sees, but cannot see anyway around it.
With the blast of lightning and the arrow that is even now poking three inches out his back, the archer falls. He lands in the grass a ways out from the group and you can hear no sound of movement.
Flor is awake and looking to Jake, searching as if for answers. Faun is still laying off to the side of the area that the icedome had been. A number of arrows still litter her back and noone is sure if she even lives yet. Rootrot on the other hand has not moved for almost the last three minutes and it leaves a little doubt.

Murdock recieves the healing tap of the wand and nod's his thanks to Tishe' as he starts to rise straight up into the air. Murdock has already passed judgement on the rouge from the other pack, and now that he is healed, he is prepared to be her executioner.
To his dismay, as the drow flies up , he see's Maria floating in the air above his ring of fire. Murdock's hand's fly through his spellbook, the mage already knowing he will have to take another spell from his repitore at least until he can get back to the city. Finally, the drow find's the the dispell magic spell, and read's it directly from his spellbook, destroying the pages as he might in consuming a scroll. (Losing Dispell Magic)

What happens next is a blur. Several events happen all at once and there is no stopping them.
Grymash and Trellus head to take care of Flea, who is in need of help from the poison that courses through her system.
Murdock sacrifices another page of his spellbook to get a spell that should help out. He had floated up and founder her already floating in the air as well.
Jake spends his time letting Flor know about the state of his wife and that she is in need of his help if he feels up to it. He is hoping that more than healing for his wife is in order though...as others are in need as well.
Tishe' pours more healing into herself as she taps herself twice with the wand in her hand.
Flea, still feeling weak curses the gem embedded in her chest for not working. If it had just worked they pack would have been in a lot better state.
Gilan circles the area and finds no signs of others moving in the grass or on the ground itself. Ciaran allows help to come to Flea, but only after warning them...till he knew who they were.
Maria's ability to fly ends and she starts to fall back into the ring of fire. But you see her snatch something from around her neck or at her neck and toss it out. The last thing Murdock sees is her face twisted in a terrible smile and then the world erupts into a raging inferno[fireball: damage 36 or Reflex 17 for half].
Once the smoke and dust clears from the blast, there is nothing to really see. Maria's body is laying to the side...smoking and very much dead. It is small wonder that no others were killed as well...but it is now time to check out the total damages from the battle.
[b][Murdock, Jake, Flor, Ciaran, Flea, Trellus and Grymash are caught in the blast of the fireball as it goes off.]
Grymash (ac22, hp7/104, poisoned -8str.) d20+6=11 d20+6=19 Tuesday June 12th, 2007 8:19:58 AM
Grymash almost doesnt see Maria's fiery attack. A brief moments hesitation would have finished him, but pure luck seems to be on his side this time.
(Reflex save 11, last hero point 19. 17 damage instead of death.)
Murdock: AC:22 (AC:18 + 4 Mage Armor) -2/35 Hp (-3 STR) d20+5=7 d100=95 Tuesday June 12th, 2007 9:45:29 AM
Murdock sees the fireball begin to blossom, but he is not quick enough to avoid its damage. The drow elf takes the full brunt of the explosion, and is knocked unconcious by the blast.
By all rights, being 30 feet into the air, Murdock should have plummeted to his death, but a simple silver ring saves him, as his unconscious form floats gently to the ground.

Tishe' (AC 15, HP 50/56)(-6 STR) Tuesday June 12th, 2007 1:37:29 PM
Tishe' knows it is past time sitting in the grass. As nearly the only one NOT caught in the fiery explosion, she sees Murdock, Jake, and Flea all fall. Jumping to her feet (move action) she sticks her hand in her satchedl and removes a spiny toad. As she dashes to Flea's side(move action) with the healing wand, she gives the toad a little toss towards the gently falling Murdock. "Wart! Go sit on his chest and I'll provide you with a healing spell!"
Still kneeling over Flea, something tells Trellus to duck. The cleric flattens out just as the fireball washes over them.
[Assuming Flea makes that save...] Trellus waves Tishe off, pointing to Jake. "I got her, take Jake."
He pulls out a potion and pours it into the unconscious rogue's mouth. [CMW (CL6) - 15 hp healed.]

Gilan dives down after the aftermath of the fireball, slowing taking on his human form. He surveys the area and shakes his head. "Trellus...who do I start with?" He sees so many of his packmates down and is not sure which one to help first, though being closest to Murdock he heads for him first anyways.
Ciaran is able to twist himself around and avoid all the damage from the fireball. His large body does get a few licks of flames that do nothing to him as he guards Flea.

[Forgot that Flea is covered by several people and can avoid at least 6 points of the damage if she fails her save.]
Flea (AC 21, 16/56 HP)(Poisoned -7 Strength) Evasion d20+11=23 Tuesday June 12th, 2007 11:33:19 PM
As she struggles to get up, Flea looks past the clerics working on her to the drama unfolding overhead.
Eyes wide, she shouts a warning to her friends,
FIREBALL!
A rush of adrenaline courses through her veins and she is able to roll away and evade the explosion. (Reflex=23.) A moment later, she lies wretching and gasping as the effect of the posion returns to burn through her veins.
(Flea has Evasion, and takes no damage. Though she is disabled by the poison, I don't think she is paralyzed. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.-Carla

The fireball washes over all most all the pack. Some are able to avoid the blast while others are not so fortunate.
With the last enemy dead the group falls into triage mode and start to heal back up the group. Those that are hurt the worst are seen to first and there are more than a couple of them.
Flor, who was just able to shrug off enough of the fireball to still be moving, closes his eyes and concentrates upon the standing stones that surround the area. They start to glow a pale green, that gets brighter and brighter. As they are almost to the point of blinding, everyone feels a sudden rush of warmth in your bodies. For the briefest of seconds, those that have no connection to the Wold feel her beat...then it is gone.
[Everyone is healed of 16 hit points of damage.]
Murdock: AC:22 (AC:18 + 4 Mage Armor) 14/35 Hp (-3 STR) Wednesday June 13th, 2007 11:53:30 AM
The song of a bird, the stir of wind in the Grass, the thunderous crash of a lightning bolt, and the sound of the ocean waves, all of this enters the unconcious drow's mind, as he opens his eyes.
The mage looks down to see a toad resting on his chest, and figures that Tishe' must have sent him healing through her familiar. He gingerly picks up the toad before standing up and stretching tender muscles.
Looking around at the damage, Murdock is pleased to see that all of his packmates seemed to have survived, even if many of them are still critically hurt. The mage also looks over the dead from the other pack, and enjoys a slight thrill at seeing the charred remains of Maria. "That grasseater got what was coming to her!", the mage thinks to himself.
Assuming we are not still going round by round-Steve
Murdock dismisses his wall of fire, but not his wall of Ice. He does not know if there are evil-doers still trapped under it's glistening dome. Then he starts to move through the wounded to see where he might be able to help.

The healing from the glowing stones washes over Trellus, and for the briefest of moments, he glimpses this Mother Wold Tishe and Gilan keep referring to. Shades.
The feeling passes, and the cleric looks about. There is still a lot of business to weave before they settle down.
"Tishe," he calls, "Don't use that wand. There aren't many charges left. I'll use spells and potions to heal our wounds."
Trellus turns to Grymash and twice casts powerful healing spells [CCW x2 on Gry - 58 hp healed]
He gives Flea one potion. [CMW (CL6) - 15 hp healed.]

Still feeling wobbly over the poison going through her, Tishe' doesn't hear Trellus until she uses one more charge from the wand of CCW, providing Wart with a touch spell for Murdock (17 hit points healed)
But the blonde cleric's words get through her sunbaked head, and she nods slowly in understanding before putting away the wands and bringing out her healers' kit. She retrieves her Staff of Frost and then Tishe' will go among the Dark Pack and see if any are still alive. There are questions to be answered!
The sand colored and slightly spikey toad looks up at Murdock and blinks. "Krik-ack!" says Wart.

Gilan moves around through the pack and applies healing as he can. With a last look around he shakes his head. "Anyone else in need of healing, let me know...I have a couple of big healing spells left." He gives a slight whistle to Ciaran so that the wolf will come to him and he can apply healing to his brother as well.
Ciaran licks Flea's face and then bounds to reach his brother. He is not in that bad of shape now and he still feels good.
[We are out of combat and not going by rounds anymore.]
Our shattered lives. (DM Jim) Thursday June 14th, 2007 1:32:34 AM
The group moves around doing their jobs to give healing to those that need it. Flor is soon on his feet and moving over to his wife, who is even now slowly getting to her feet. Faun does not seem to be in that bad of shape anymore, but she is far from totally healed. Flor turns to the group with a grimace and reaches into one of the pouches at his side, his hand comes out wet and holding one vial. "Seems only one vial of antidote survived the fight." He does not seem overly happy about it.
A check on the condition of the enemy pack leads to the same results with each one....they are all dead. On each one you find a burned out pendant on a simple leather thong...it is blackened and most obviously the source of the burn.
Faun has moved over to check upon Rootrot and finds him totally unresponsive. In fact it appears that he is nothing more than a tree, instead of the treant that you know him to be. She is leaning upon his wooden form and lightly crying.
A voice suddenly cuts through the different sounds that prevade the once battlefield. It is a female voice and belonging to the most fetching young woman you have ever laid eyes upon. "Jakie-poo...I found you." She is running across the grass as if she does not have a care in the world. Those that think about it a little will come up with who she is as you have met before. In fact it might bring back unpleasant memories for Tishe', for she was in the company of two satyrs at the time that they met.
Trellus (ac 22, 67/79 hp, -7 STR) 2d8(1+5)+3=9 d8=8 2d8(7+1)+3=11 d8=2 2d8(5+3)+3=11 Thursday June 14th, 2007 10:22:13 AM
Trellus breaks out a well used wand, and heals up Jake and himself. [CMW - Jake healed for 16 hp Trellus x2 for 23 hp]
The wand sputters on the last spell, and the cleric tosses it negligently at a dead archer.
So much carnage. Light, these dudes didn't even give us a chance to talk. AND the Council sent em, no doubt. The blond man sighs in resignation. "I think we just got ourselves thrown out of Rattledam," he says in a quiet voice.
Pushing the matter to the back of his mind, he returns to the tasks at hand. "Let's see what these dudes got," he calls out to the pack. "I'd love to know how they wove that no-magic pick."
Flor's comment brings a look of alarm. "How many can you bring back with one vial?" he asks, more than a trace of concern in his voice. "And how long to make more?"
There is a new voice, yet familiar. Trellus glances over, and his mouth drops open in surprise. "Oh, for the love of Flower," he groans. "Where'd SHE come from?"

Tishe' (AC 15, HP 56/56)(-6 STR) d20+6=13 Thursday June 14th, 2007 7:31:18 PM
Tishe' is disappointed that they won't get any answers from the Dark Pack, but the sight of all the burned-out pendants are disturbing. "I wonder if the Council was able to monitor the battle with the amulets?", she asks in consternation.
Obidient to Trellus' question, Tishe' weaves a White spell, and scans the area for magic items (Detect Magic) She calls out and points when another is discovered. She tries to keep her concentration as she slowly moves about the battlefield, searching for magic (Concentration: 13)
Grymash (ac22, hp81/104, poisoned -8str.) Thursday June 14th, 2007 9:50:19 PM "Jakie-poo?!" Grymash rolls his eyes and buries his face in his hands. Having no more healing magiks, and seeing Trellus' "Feel Good" stick being tossed aside, the half-orc digs out his Healers Kit and begins slathering on soothing, although slightly smelly" balms and salves. As he binds each wound, he attempts to calms frazzled nerves with a little conversation. "No worries, dat be guano in da salve ... smelly, but it kill da infects befores thayz kills yooz!"
Grymash also sets up a wide, highly reflective bowl on some heat stones from his haversack. He then sets up a sun lens and focuses it on the bowl. Shortly after pouring a little water into the bowl, it slowly beings to boil. With a clang, Grymash then throws in a few ominously looking, hook-shaped needles and a short coil of thread. After inspecting his and the packs remaining injuries, he throws in a bit more thread. "Ok, lets gets da big wounds sewn up befores da creepers lay da eggs!!"

Murdock: AC:22 (AC:18 + 4 Mage Armor) 35/35 Hp (-3 STR) Thursday June 14th, 2007 10:20:00 PM
Murdock obey's Trellus's orders as well, and cast a detect magic. He walks along with Tishe', and also helps to police the dead bodies. When he get's to the dark pack's mage, the drow makes sure to pick up the wand of lightning bolts. Murdock doesn't know what to make of the newcommer, but if she turn's hostile, at least he will be able to use the wand's firepower. Murdock also ask Tishe' about the newcomer and if he should be concerned, as he help's her strip the dead bodies of their valuables. If Murdock finds that the newcommer is not a threat, he will throw the wand in with the rest of the loot.
After that is done, the contrite mage walks up to Flor and offers his slender hand in friendship to the druid. "I had you wrong, sir, and I apologize on behalf of myself and my pack.", the drow says soberly. "It was obviously Maria and her group that killed the captain of the grassship and his crew."
Murdock also keeps a keen eye toward the newcommer. She seems to know Jake, but the drow thinks it is suspicious that someone show up right after a major battle.

Gilan turns as he hears the voice calling out Jakes name and groans. What was that dryad doing here and how had she found them. Shaking his head it was obvious...the trees. He calls out once more to his pack to see if anyone is in need of more healing. "Anyone need more healing?" He will offer it to those that need it as he lays another bit of healing into Ciaran.
Ciaran watches the newcomer with some interest but does not get too excited. He does not sense malice but a little bit of mischief maybe.

Flea (AC 21, 47/56 HP)(Poisoned -7 Strength) d20+13=30 d20+9=22 Thursday June 14th, 2007 11:31:27 PM
Flea's wounds start to knit from some foreign magic, but she's not sure why. When Trellus hands her the potion, she gulps it down, and asks him, "you figger these things are starting to work again?" The gnome pulls at the top of her tunic and points to the stone embedded high on her chest.
She eyes Grymash suspiciously, but if he volunteers to tend to the last of her wounds, she will not refuse. She will ask Gargul's cleric if he's got anything to make her...sickness...go away, explaining that even though her wounds are sealing, leaving nothing but thin silvery scars, she still...doesn't feel too good.
Regardless, Flea will help loot the bodies and help Tishe' locate and read any magic (Detect Magic).

Tishe' 2nd Post Friday June 15th, 2007 12:05:56 AM
Tishe' reacts unexpectedly to Murdock's question. She turns white as a sheet and desperately looks around, half afraid, half anticipating... music.
"Her name is Adhara, and we met her many month's travel away on the Northern Continent." she explains in a small voice. "She's a dryad, and had been guarding a grove with three young gentlemen with goat feet."
Pick up the pieces. (DM Jim) Friday June 15th, 2007 1:05:46 AM
As the healing continues, others of the group go about their own business. Many spells are cast and the bodies are stripped of everything that would be of import.
Murdock is confused as to which wand is the one that summons lightning as he finds not one...but two wands near the dead mage.
As the dryad is placed, she has already wrapped her arms around Jake and is kissing him. She does not seem to intent on letting him go anytime soon. Her face takes on a worried expression as she can sense the difference in Jake. "My Jakie is hurt." She kisses him again and healing flows into the his body...healing him completely, but for the poison. She seems content to hand on him as she waits to see what is going to happen.
Flor takes the offered hand of Murdock and shrugs his shoulders. "To some...the change that we are attempting is a crime. But we only seek to return a little of the old to the Plains...not totally change it." He glances to the only vial that is unbroken in his hand and shakes his head. "It only takes a drop per person and this bottle is enough for all of them." The frown returns to his face as he holds out the small vial to Trellus. "It is just that the ingredients to make the antidote are hard to find." He does not seem to happy about the prospect of having to gather more.
Those that are loot picking find a lot of different items. Some of them radiate magic and some of them are just plain mundane items...though some of superior quality.

"As for the Tears," the cleric pauses, then sighs heavily. "I think Gargul turned them off, 'cept for Tishe and Gry. I guess he wants us to know gettin' dudes back from the Lands of Rest won't be as easy as just weaving a spell." The blond man breaks out of his reverie and gives the rogue a grin. "Now, how 'bout you see if you can figure out all them potions, while I go find out what kind of pick Jake's in for now."
In answer to Flor, he nods. "Maybe we can work something out. For sure, we'd like to stay a few days, heal up, and learn more about what you know of the Plains. I think our Pack is gonna be making some hard decisions soon, and the more information we got, the better." He glances at the stone statues, and grimaces. "We're gonna have to wait till tomorrow for the antidote," he says slowly. "I want us fully healed in case...
...well...
...in case we need it."
And finally, Trellus walks over to Jake and the dryad. "Many shadows," he remarks carefully. "You're a long way from your oak, aren't you?"
"Hey Gry! You can come over and help me out a bit," Trellus invites, pointing to the not-quite-healed cuts on his back. The half-orc worked hard to set all that up, no point in telling the poor guy he's still got some spells left. Light, he might need them before tomorrow anyway.

Murdock: AC:22 (AC:18 + 4 Mage Armor) 35/35 Hp (-3 STR) d20=16 Friday June 15th, 2007 3:35:31 PM
The drow looks at the whitefaced Tishe' and recognizes the look in her eyes. (Knowledge Women Check=16) Embarressment and fond memories are mixed on Tishe's face, and Murdock let's the subject drop.
"So", the drow says, "How do ya suppose they wove that antimagic pick?" the drow continues, deftly changing the subject, and adopting a less inquisitive tone.
As the loot gathering is done, the mage breaks away from Tishe' and moves to talk to Trellus. Murdock points to the still gleaming ice dome and says, " I don't think that I trapped them in the dome, but there could still be enemies inside. Ciaran weaves his way through the people and stuff as he makes his way to his brother's side. He lays down and sighs as he relaxes, though he does cock his head to the side and glances at Flea.
Picking up the pieces. (DM Jim) Saturday June 16th, 2007 1:11:20 AM
The loot is gathered and layed out so that it can be gone over with a fine tooth comb. Flea and Gilan are already over there and looking at the potions though neither has started in on them yet.
Murdock and Tishe' are both ready for when the icedome falls so that they can deal with the enemies that were captured inside of it.
Flor nods his head in understanding as he speaks. "You may stay as long as you like. The standing stones will protect the area from some things...but not all as you noticed." He moves off to see about his wife and Rootrot. They both fall into a long discussion as to the likelihood of reawakening the poor treant.
Adhara, still hanging on Jake, turns her head to regard Trellus as if he had six heads. "I have been looking for my Jakie since he never returned to me. I lost track of him at one point but then found him again when he started to get near trees." She glances to the trees that line the grove with some fondness. "They talk you know." Looking up at Jake she smiles and coos in his ear. "If you have nothing better to do love...would you like to return with me to my oak tree?" It is strange to see a dryad so smitten with someone...usually it is the other way around.
The icedome starts to waver and then disappears altogether and Tishe' is ready with wand in hand. With the wdome fully down she notices that there is noone inside and she gets the idea that there might have never been anyone inside...that is what the remnants of her detect magic tell her.

She turns to Murdock and nods as if in confirmation. "An illusion to make us waste time and spells." Her brow furrows in concentration as Tishe' idly places an errant lock of wavy brown hair behind one ear. "I don't know how to counter that pick other than what we just did. Although," she continues smiling at the black wizard, "next time I won't weave a spell where you already spun the treadles!"
Then, her mercurial mood has her focus on the magic items found. With seven charges from her Wand of Identify, she learns everything about the seven items of moderate magic.

Murdock nod's to Tishe', an undertone of embarresment in his voice. "Yes, it looks that way." the wizard says angrily, commenting on the wasted ice dome, as his mood turns as dark as his skin.
As Tishe' settles in and focuses on the majority of magicked item's, Murdock picks up the spellbook and moves off a short distance. The drow plops down on his rear, and opens the book, to begin reading the spells inside.

Gilan pulls half of the potions towards him and begins the process of identifying them. He sets those he is pretty sure of off to the side, while moving the others to make a different pile.
Ciaran just relaxes as he has a little free time and being tired from the battle. He has no sense of danger right now and will take the time to relax.
Jake Sunday June 17th, 2007 7:58:02 AM
Jake gazes into the eyes o the creature that loves him. Whether it was the danger, the magic, the heat, he did not know. But there and then he made a decision to stay with the woman.
Maybe he could also help "Flor, Faun, and Roorrot in their quest. He would return to the pack someday, but it was time for some rest.
OOC-To all, thanks for letting me play Jake. I was hoping Mikey would be back by now. He may still come back, the DM can work him back in to the setting. Good luck to you all, and I will follow your progress. Later
Trellus (ac 22, 67/79 hp, poisoned, -7 STR) Monday June 18th, 2007 3:59:38 PM
The icedome comes down and packmates gather about the loot of the treadle pack and the druids gather about their treant. Trellus notices none of it.
He just witnessed something he never imagined - Jake falling for a girl.
"You're LEAVING!?!" he cries increduloulsy. "Dude! What kind of sunbaked pick is that?"
OK. Sure. This particular girl is knee buckling, mouth drooling, can't think straight, drop dead gorgeous. The blond cleric has to force himself to look directly at his buddy in order to keep himself concentrated on Jake and not on, uh, other stuff - Could she at least WEAR something??? - But this is JAKE here. Jake doesn't tie down with ANYBODY.

As he puts away his things, he cant help but spot one of his books, a draconic reader, down in his bag. Tucked between the pages is a dragon scale given to him by Grand Maw. He'd been secretly trying to learn her language. It's been slow going, but it makes him feel closer to her. Saying her words. And he understands now why Jake must leave. Maybe he should ask Tishe to help him learn. She speaks draconic quite beautifully. It would be a nice surprise for Grand Maw when next they should meet.

With a lot of different things flying around right now for the Bloodpack, they each find themselves keeping busy in one way or another. Some don't have that luxury and it is this that drives Trellus to distraction or maybe it is that Jake is leaving for awhile with Adhara.
Gilan has some success with the potions that he took, only having to set two to the side that he was not sure about. He waits for Flea to make her discoveries.
Tishe' uses her wand and soon has a number of items that she now knows what they are and do. This part always seems to thrill her as she loves to learn. Murdock has moved off to the side and is now staring at the spellbook that they found. He is instantly flustrated as he can tell that they are spells in the book...he just cannot tell what they say. The writing seems to twist and flow on each page. It is enough to make your head hurt.

Murdock is to consumed with trying to understand the spellbook to pay any attention to hear Jake is leaving the pack. The drow gets more and more frustrated until he closes the book and puts it down a wicked scowl playing across his face.
(Knowledge Arcana=25)
The drow understands that he will probably have to cast a read magic to understand the spells in the book. However, he has a headache now and needs the quiet of a good nights sleep. Trellus starts shouting at about that point and the drow's already sour mood turn's blacker yet.
"Trellus!" Murdock says loudly in a scathing tone, "Will you pulleeze silence yourself! I'm sure Jakey-Poo.." The drow turns his head to Jake and the nymph, with a sarcastic look on his face "..will explain exactly what type of pick it is if you will just stop yer blathering!"
With that the mage puts his hands over his pointed ears and closes his eyes, trying to cradle his head and make the headache go away. It is clear that Murdock is not feeling well.

Trellus d20+6=21 Wednesday June 20th, 2007 3:31:40 PM
Trellus gives Murdock a dirty look, but seeing the spellbook in the drow's hand, the cleric deduces what's really bothering the wizard. [Sense Motive 21] The blond man holds his tongue.
He turns back to the departing Jake. Sterlin, Milo, Anuk, and now Jake, he thinks glumly. His list of childhood friends is rapidly diminishing. Trellus sighs, and extends a hand. "Many shadows, dude," he whispers.
The departure of Jake puts the man in a pensive mood. He moves over to the group assembled around the equipment. Glancing over at the bodies, he sighs again, and brings up the next unpleasant point. "I wouldn't be surprised if the Council finds out about this fight long before we could get back to Rattledam," he starts.
There follows a very long pause, as he stares into the ground, obviously trying to come up with the words. Finally, he just blurts out, "I'm wondering if it'll safe for us TO go back."
Tishe' Wednesday June 20th, 2007 5:23:55 PM
The plain-faced woman is VERY pleased with learning about the magic they have captured, but doesn't want to overuse her wand. "We can save learning the magic picks until morning, and use some casted Identifys on the rest", she proposes.
Tishe' frowns pensively, but slowly approaches Jake and Adhara. "Sometimes a thread moves away from the others, but they are still part of the same pattern", she tells him as she lays a sisterly hand on his arm. "We are Bloodpack, and bound to each other, so I'm certain the Wold Mother will weave our threads together again."
To Adhara, Tishe' looks up without any conscious awareness that the dryad is nude. Yet a blush is rising from the spellweaver's throat as she tries to get out her words. "Is... Could you...", and finally out in a rush: "tell Lari hello from me." Without waiting for an answer and blushing furiously, Tishe' goes back to the magic items.
A little while later, a more composed Tishe' comes to the campfire to listen to the Bloodpack's next move. "I would count on the treadles already knowing, and I agree that it would be very dangerous for us to go back to Rattledam right now." Yet she brightens with an idea.
"But we have a Council member here right now", and indicates the statue of Malafret. "And Jenny and her friends. After speaking with them, we may have our contacts with Rattledam as we make our base somewhere else until the furor dies down!"
Idly, Tishe' grabs the bag of candied hoppers and contentedly crunches on the delectable sweet, offering the bag to share.
Gilan and Ciaran Wednesday June 20th, 2007 9:41:47 PM
Gilan looks up as he notices that Jake is going to leave with the dryad, Adhara. "Come back to us Jake when you can." He wipes at his eyes as he tries to keep the tears at bay. Thinking much along the same lines as Trellus he is starting to find that his old friends are slowly disappearing.
He digs into his pack and passes over a scroll case to Tishe'. "I got these to be used for the pack...what is left of the identify scrolls." Though he tries he is not successful in getting his thoughts away from the loss of another friend. That is till Trellus brings up his own thoughts about returning home or not returning home as the case maybe. Low, but still loud enough that the others close by can hear he mumbles. "We never fit in there too well anyways." He takes a few of the hoppers and nibbles on them as he thinks.
Ciaran nuzzles his brother's hand and soon has his neck being scratched. Not a bad thing as far as he is concerned as he closes his eyes and growls in pleasure.
The path, 2. (DM Jim) Thursday June 21st, 2007 3:20:58 AM
Most of the group seems to be at least a little sad to see Jake leaving with the dryad. Some have lost so many along the way that they are few when it comes to the ones that started the adventure together, still they are strong.
Jake and Adhara both move around the group and say their final goodbyes, for now. Jake pulls Trellus off to the side and lets him know that this is only temporary as he has plans to come back to the group....he has more women to see in the world.
The loot is still a worry, but the greater worry now for some is their ability to go back to Rattledam...can they and do they want to.
Flor and Faun come over shaking their heads. "Rootrot has fallen into ome kind of dormancy." They cannot understand it and it also appears that they will not be leaving anytime soon. They have been listening to the group and feel sorry for them and responsible but they have nothing to offer the group.
Night slowly creeps up on the group with the area illuminated lightly by the standing stones. Murdock is happy, as he feels that the only thing stopping him from studying that spell book is a simple spell. You know that the morning will come all too fast...but what will it bring for sure for the Bloodpack.
And the morning comes, with the rising sun. For once the Plains seems to be a nice place as the area is a comfortable temperature...though you might guess that you owe that to the standing stones and druids as well.

Murdock Thursday June 21st, 2007 9:24:12 AM
As the evening wears on, the drow's headache abates, and he feels guilty about having snapped at Trellus and Jake. Murdock summons the courage to eat his previous words and apologizes to the two men and to Jake's lady friend.
The moody drow brightens further on the talk of not returning to Rattledam. He didn't want to work for people who used the name of Lord God Pantheon, to commit acts of injustice. Murdock knows that it is his friend's home, but it is not his home.
Murdock meditates that night and takes the morning watch, as it requires him to do nothing but raise an alarm and he is awake anyway. During the still hours of the early morning, his pack asleep, the drow feels himself changed. During his meditation he has come to understand that he is of the Bloodpack now, and that he should stop living in the past.
The introspective mage takes out a large gem from his pack, and looks it over, it's large cut facets are intriguing to him. He has not been able to discern the magical nature of the stone, but feels it is time for it to be used. It is time to truly become one with the pack. With a smile, he takes the dragon tear and places it to his chest......
Later that morning, as the pack wakes, the mage studies his spells. Then cast Read Magic on himself, and attempts to read the spellbook.
Trellus Thursday June 21st, 2007 5:19:40 PM
Trellus sleeps fitfully during the night. He has family in Rattledam - brothers, sisters, parents. Thoughts of never seeing them again do not make for a good night's sleep.
In the morning, he drags himself up and spends a good long time in prayer before Domi. Domi, all my life I've striven to hold true to your ideals - lending my strength and courage to those in need of protection from the evils of this Wold. Now, it seems I must abandon my own family in the name of protection of this land and its peoples. Please. Please help me be strong enough to do what's right, instead of what's easy.
Prayer always provides some comfort, but Trellus sure could use some more. Instead, he returns to his packmates, helping them recover from the previous day's ordeal. He casts a spell on himself, Grymash, and Flea, removing all traces of the poison.
[Cast Restoration on Trellus, Grymash, and Flea to heal all ability losses]
He also recasts his Status spell on Gry, Flea, and Gilan. And then improves his armor and shield. [Magic Vestment x2(using Pearl)]
"Is everyone shady?" he asks. "Cause I think its time to see what Malafret has to say."

Tishe' d4=4 d4=1 Thursday June 21st, 2007 6:53:45 PM
Evening passes and morning comes. Tishe' comes awake with an awareness of someone else within the DragonTear. "Many Shadows, Murdock", she sends via the gem.
Breakfast is had, though Tishe' looks a little sad that the porridge isn't spiced and the water isn't spiked. "Jake sure knew how to cook a good meal!", she says with a smile. She invites Flor and Faun to break thier nighttime fast with the group, as a planning session will be needed today.
And there are many things to accomplish, and Tishe' gets busy with her list.
First, there is her hourly meditaion for spells, both natural and arcane.
Second, Tishe' weaves two Lesser Restoration spells, one on herself (+4 Str) and one on Murdock (+1 Str) to fight the effects of the poisoned blades. She also renews her extended Endure Elements spell using her Rod of Extend.
Third, is Identifying the remainder of the magic items. Tishe' uses two memorized spells, then uses three scrolls that Gilan had given her. Tishe' thanks her fellow druid with her eyes and will give the remaining scrolls back to Gilan for safekeeping. cloak[faint abjuration] bracers[faint transmutation] cards[faint illusion] mithril chainshirt(6)[faint conjuration]
Finally, she brings the magic items to the fireplace, sits down, and is ready for the council. "Well sweeties," she begins, "we've got our hands on the loom and just need to decide how we are going to weave this pattern. We've got..." "One, when to un-stone the Fems and Malafret, Two, how to find out as much as we can from Malafret, Three, how to conscript them into our plot Four, where to use a base of operations until we can change the politial realities of monk vs druid vs Baron Five, find out where the mutated Rapke are coming from."
"I really think we should decide how we going to approach Malafret and the Fems before we un-stone them. United pack you know."
hero points I agree with Steve Flemming. Everyone has done perfectly yeomans work in the past couple battles, and we should get at least 2 per hero. Murdock burning spells from his spellbook, Flea as a rogue standing toe to toe in order to give time to her packmates, Grymash at 0 hitpoints still attacking instead of healing... the list goes on!
Grymash Thursday June 21st, 2007 9:55:35 PM
(Sorry for lack of posting this week, been under the weather, taking meds, and going to bed early.)
Most appreciative to Trellus' obvious superior healing abilities, the barbarian priest gives him a hardy slap on the back and a thanks. "Gry feels like Gry agains!!"
Looking over the loot, Grymash finds many of the weapons interesting. The heavy flail is a nice weapon, but its used mostly by priests of Marteaus. He gives it a twirl and sets it back down. The double sword, very interesting. Never seen one before. He tries to give it a twirl like his double axe, but the weight is all off. It doesnt feel the same. He almost drops it on his foot. He looks around to make sure no one saw that. "Dat one takes some learnin'!"
(I think everyone should get at least 3 or 4 hero points just because we've all been heroic on many occasions and havent been awarded any in a very very long time. Way past due. And then more should be thrown in just for actions taken in this last battle. Though I think 4 each is a good start.)
Flea Thursday June 21st, 2007 11:48:43 PM
"Sure Jake, whatever...."
Flea doesn't pay much attention to the scrawny fighter, so intent is she on evaluating the goods retrieved from the enemy who had made her and her pack mates so sick.
When he and the scantily clad female make their adieus she takes better notice. "You're really leaving then?" she asks incrediously. "Leaving the Bloodpack? Hanging up your sword, and settling down?"
Flea watches the half-elf disappear with his lady-love, and for a moment the green-eyed monster, envy, consumes her as she thinks of another leave taking...only one that was not so happy for those saying their good byes. She thinks on her pledge, and wonders who she had made it to. The monks? Those beaters! The manfri? The plains?
Kicking at the ground and sending up a plume of dust, Flea mutters under her beath "Talki fresal, dondit liki my gnomish arse!" in voice that conveys a mood as dark as the blackest plains night.
Gilan and Ciaran Friday June 22nd, 2007 8:33:37 PM
The rest of the day is uneventful for Gilan and though he helps out as best he can, he is lost in thought. Unlike some of the others, he does not have any real connections to Rattledam...though he will miss the time he spent with his mentor's family.
His sleep this night is fitful as he dreams of a great many things and none of them any good. Giant mutated rapke, executions and the loss of his pack are at the top of his dreams and he wakes finding himself out of sorts.
Still he goes through his morning ritual of singing to the Wold as he goes about getting his own spells for the day. With a shrug he does not take any spells that will help with the poison...seems like that is already taken care of.
As he stands with Ciaran at his side he looks to Trellus and nods his head. "Malafret is the more understanding of the council and may give us advise if nothing else." He looks to the statues and waits for it all to begin.
The path, 3. (DM Jim) Friday June 22nd, 2007 8:53:07 PM
A morning of prayer and breakfast seems to help the whole pack out. Though it is obvious that some are still worried and with good reason. Would they be considered to have commited treason to Rattledam and their home?
Flor and Faun both seems slightly happier this day though you can tell that they are worried about something. Finally Flor moves to stand near Trellus. "We know of a place that you could use...if you have noone to return to." He says no more but hopes that this will at least ease some of the worries from the pack.
The rest of the magical treasure is identified easily, through normal spells and scrolls. Murdock casts one of his lesser spells and once again delves into the spellbook that they had found...he finds it interesting if not very helpful.
The statues stand off to the side as if waiting for the group to break the spell that they are under. But is the pack ready for this move and what will be the outcome.

Trellus (Sub SteveHaviland) Friday June 22nd, 2007 11:06:38 PM
The cleric of Domi nods as each of the pack shares their opinions. He is somewhat relieved that his pack will have a place to operate out of, but the worry that he may have to leave behind his family weighs heavily on him.
Trellus ask the druid to elaborate on where they might be able to call home, should they not be able to return to Rattledam.
When the druid is finished, he looks over the gathered Bloodpack. With a nod, he says "Dudes, we have hard decisions to make and we need information. Lets get some answers."
He takes out the small vial that the druid handed him and walks over to the Fem's and Malafret. Trellus stand's in front of his sister first and lets a single drop of the liquid fall onto Jenny's stoned form. Then he waits, hoping his adopted sister will be able to give him more information, before destoneing the rest of the fems and Malafret.

Murdock Friday June 22nd, 2007 11:17:24 PM
Murdock remains silent as Trellus speaks. That morning the drow was sourly disappointed by the contents of the spellbook, he had been hoping to retrieve his burnt spells from the dead mages book. Obviously, the deceased man was not as accomplished as Murdock had thought during the battle.
The dark elf agrees with Trellus's descision to awaken his sister first, but never the less prepares himself in case the Fems and Malafret become dangerous. The drow positions himself near to Flea, aware that the gnome can take care of herself, but not willing to be seperated from her in battle again.
Tishe' Saturday June 23rd, 2007 12:12:14 PM
For the treasure, Tishe' and friends finished the bag of candied hoppers last night. The brown-haired girl would be happy to take:
spell component pouch contents thunderstone(3) tangle foot bag(2) cloak of resistance+4 bracers of armor+3 lightning bolt wand(9th)-5charges
Conferring with Murdock, Tishe' sees there are some spells that she doesn't have in her own spellbooks she would like to have time to transcribe. In the two spells that Murdock burned up, the brown-eyed girl opens her own book to let him look at it. "I've got both Lighting Bolt and Dispel Magic. You can transcribe them out of my books if you want. What do you have to trade?"
Tishe' is not worried about where the Bloodpack may call home, for there is HookCity, IronHome, the fishing village, or even among the Manfriki. All can be a base for what they are going to do. "What we're going to do is more important" she mumbles to herself.
And to decide THAT, they need more information. She watches Trellus in front of Jenny and is not worried about the spunky girls' reaction.
