DM Kathy Sunday July 29th, 2007 9:57:52 PM Lorth spends some time in prayer, and emerges with a general feeling of well-being. Is his god pleased with him, or is he just in a good mood today? Difficult to say for sure...
Maglant has his own method for communicating with his god, and by the time he is finished he, too, gets a general feeling of peace and happiness. He also has an idea--to go to the magical school and ask a few questions about Itzal Jerse.
Desolute bids goodnight to the fair Phaedra and returns to town, intending to find the "heroes" he saw at the Jerse's. They are not, in fact, difficult to find; he can catch up with them at the inn.
Arminas arises early, and takes some time to allow Ewan to hunt. He, Bralin, and Harvest would all like to hear Mistress Dulcet's opinion of the affair before the group does anything else.
If you inquire at her home, you find that Dulcet is not yet receiving visitors, but should be available an hour or so before noon.
Lorth Monday July 30th, 2007 7:23:14 AM
Lorth heads to the inn after his prayers. After any discussion he goes with whoever is calling on Dulcet. He waits patiently until she is ready to receive visitors.
Harvest d20+2=19 Monday July 30th, 2007 9:19:36 AM
Harvest Moon settles herself under a shady eave. An hour is not such a long time. People go by. It is interesting to watch them. Smiling, she nods her head in pleasant greeting. Then a thought occurs to the brown girl, and she rises from her spot.
"I will visit the market," she announces. "There, the butchers, bakers and green grocers may have heard something of the party last night. I will return before the hour is past."
Harvest Moon turns to leave. Then she turns back.
"I will also purchase food for a snack or lunch time meal. Does anyone wish something in particular?"
Bralin Monday July 30th, 2007 9:57:43 AM
Bralin accompanies the group to the door of Madame Dulcet. As usual, he is fully armed and armored for the trip, with the raised faceplate of his black helm his only concession to the apparent lack of danger.
Upon learning that they must wait, the black bearded dwarf nods, once. Harvest's query elicits a "Nay". Whatever she purchases will suffice.
At some point last night, Bralin had decided his future course. He will forego further study of The Sphere, and concentrate solely on axe and hammer. The dwarf uses the free time available to return the inn to practice.
Desolute d20+3=8 Monday July 30th, 2007 2:02:28 PM
Desolute rests well that night. He hasn't had a great meal like that since, since, well, never really. He can get used to this life style. What kind of work can he find here though? Is there good game in the region for him to pratice his chosen profession, or will he be forced to pick up a new profession? Perhaps he needs to move on, yet again? He knows he needs to reach Plateau City eventually, but there really is no hurry. He's a free man able to go where he chooses. Following the the birds and the wind, he is a free spirit looking for adventure and excitement. He reaches deep into his pockets to pull out some of the few coins that remain on his person, to buy himself breakfast. Palming the coin, before he needs them, he will ask the owner, "Do you have any chores a poor traveler may perform for a decent meal, or know someone who may?" It's not trapping, but since I lost all my traps in that avalance last year, I can't afford to get new ones yet.
Diplomacy to work for food: 8 (good thing he has cash left)
Harvest (2nd Post) Monday July 30th, 2007 4:02:32 PM
Harvest Moon blushes. It is the half-orc. From the party.
Harvest Moon hesitates, then simply leaps into the situation.
"Peace be with you. You are Desolute. From the party last night. Nuk blaefow." Again the orcish greeting sounds incorrect to her ear, but recognizing the hearing of it does not seem to improve her speaking of it by very much.
"I hope that my interruption did not lessen your enjoyment of the party."
Her eyes move from the half orc to the innkeeper and then back to the half orc again.
"If you wish to buy food, I would be pleased to treat you to this meal. Perhaps you would like to eat with us. I am purchasing a noonday meal at this moment for myself and my companions. One more would be welcome."
Any - posted by Kelly Monday July 30th, 2007 4:33:20 PM
Any rises in the morning with the sun, and is awake when Malgant returns with breakfast. He excuses himself, and goes down and out into the courtyard, checking on Moonshadow and the other horses. While he is standing there, a young male elf comes running up to the Inn.
"Are you the Bard known as Anthos Westar?"
Any acknowledges that he is with a wary hand straying to his sword hilt.
"Your presence is requested immediately by your father. He is near death, and wishes to speak with you before he passes."
Any responds with a bit of shock in his voice, "My Father!? I have never known him, or who he was."
The messenger replies, "Nevertheless, it seems he knows you, and wants you to come immediately. I have a horse at the other end of town. Now that I have found you, I will retrieve it while you make preparations to leave--that is if you will come."
Any stands stock still, while his thoughts race. "Of course I will come. I have little to pack, but I need to make some explanations and goodbyes. I will be ready within the half-hour."
He goes back into the Inn at a fast walk, the difficulty of what is to come hitting him as he goes. Upon entering the room where the others are eating, he explains what has occurred.
"I will return, that I promise." This last is said as he looks at Harvest. Then, "I must go, I hope you understand."
He steps towards her, taking her into his embrace. Then, when all the goodbyes are said, he quickly returns to the stables and saddles Moonshadow just as the messenger arrives.
"Let us go."
OOC--I must take a short Hiatus from posting while I am moving. I don't know how long this will take, but I"LL BE BACK
Arminas Monday July 30th, 2007 4:36:57 PM
Arminas stands in shock as Any explains his departure.
"Do you require a traveling companion?"
"No, well travel safe. Remember the bow, it will keep you safer than the sword. Safe journeys to you."
Later, waiting outside to visit with Madam Dulcet:
"Perhaps some fruits if some are available, along with some bread and cheese would be nice."
Arminas calls to Harvest as she heads to the market.
Desolute (second post) Monday July 30th, 2007 4:52:52 PM Ah yes, once again, Wardd comes through for me. With a wide smile displaying the smaller then average canines for his race, he stands and bows to Harvest. "You honor me with your well intended words. Your generosity is only exceeded by your beauty Milady. I must say, I am not one for charity, but if you will allow me to compensate you either sooner or later for the gracious offer, I would gladly accept." He offers her his arm, to escort her back to her table, "I was not at all put out by the party last night. I do not believe I was the only one to enjoy themselves either." The last said with a silent joke to himself thinking of Phaedra. This is his opportunity to introduce himself to them all as he shakes hands with them firmly. "Greetings again and well met, I am Desolute, from Plateau City." He turns to Harvest, "I believe you asked me a question last night I did not have the opportunity to answer. No, I really do not have a sir name. I am orphaned and that is where I grew up into my teens. I got into some trouble with the law, as most misguided youths do and I performed my punishment for such things. I then took a wrong turn at the crossroads of good and evil. I decided, that harming the weak and innocent is not my path, so I have much self atonements to perform before I feel better about myself." With an appearance of self loathing,"Let that be enough for now please." He is certain to be up front with them all, especially the self proclaimed paladins, about his criminal history. His recent past however is something he must come to grips with himself, before he could trust others to understand. Lying and deceit will only cause problems later, and that's the last thing Desolute needs are more problems.
Desolute pulls from his pack a scrolled piece of parchment with a golden thread tying it off. It appears somewhat road worn, but the writing is clearly legible producing the effect that Desolute completed his penance with time in the North, serving an expedition for Plateau city when his incarceration, through performance, was completed.
He continues to carry a wide smile as he market's himself to the adventurer's.
Desolute (Third Post) Monday July 30th, 2007 5:09:47 PM
Desolute saddened by the news of Any's father gives his condolences with a nod and understanding eyes. "Be well Any. Even a small time with the bringer's of life is better then none at all." The orphan says with a salute with his mug.
Florin Jadenth Monday July 30th, 2007 7:41:17 PM
Florin smiles at how the kids act at Ivy's house and prepares himself for the day also like the others. He prays and invites Ivy out to train abit with him since he knows she knows more of the sword then she has let on when they first met.
After training for awhile, Florin gears up, gives Ivy a kiss and tells her parents that he will speak to the temple as he still wishes to make sure they will be safe till things are settled.
With this done he heads off to meet up with the rest of the group. When he hears the groups plans he nods and will go with those to visit Madam Dulcet.
Florin will let Havest pick what she wishes to pickup for snacking purposes since he really won't mind. He does eat lighter now being a elf but then again some of his diet habits have changed since becoming a elf.
If Florin sees Desolute and offers his hand to the man in greetings, "Seems we keep meeting up with you. Now that we aren't at a party where prying ears may try to listen in I would enjoy hearing about you if you do not mind me asking." Florin shrugs and smiles, "I mean, you seem to be quite different from most in the town and I would wager you travel alot, like those of the group I travel with."
Davros Monday July 30th, 2007 10:45:31 PM
Davros returns to the Inn after a light breakfast with Ivy's family. "I don't feel your family has much to worry, but rest assured we will check on you." Upon learning the day's plan is to visit Madam Dulcet, Davros travels there and joins Bralin with the wait.
Malgant Monday July 30th, 2007 11:06:20 PM
Malgant is shocked by Anthos' need to leave, especially if Any related the part about not knowing his father. He is about to offer Any a traveling companion in himself when Arminas asks and Any refuses. Since the matter is settled then Malgant says nothing. At Madame Dulcet's, Malgant, fully armed and armored waits with the others. OOC
DM Kathy Monday July 30th, 2007 11:06:48 PM Any's abrupt departure causes concern for the Swords, but they wish him well and hope for a swift return.
Asking around town, Harvest learns that a great many townsfolk were actually present at the party last night. They are happy to share their impressions, which are mostly about the lavishness of the decorations, the sumptuousness of the food, the elegance of their hostess. More than one person remarks that young Master Itzal seemed a sullen sort of lad. Someone mentions that "it's a great pity those fool adventurers had to cause such an uproar," but he is quickly hushed by his neighbors, who shoot fearful and apologetic glances in Harvest's direction.
Desolute catches up with the Swords, and seems to have attached himself to their group. For the time being. He seems a glib sort of fellow--perhaps in Any's absence, he can be put to some use.
Florin spends some time practicing with Ivy, who cheats most dreadfully and doesn't seem a bit ashamed of it. Her frequent bursts of laughter make the training session a lighthearted affair.
At length, Dulcet is available to speak to you. With a smile, she ushers you into the familiar little parlor and orders some tea.
"I understand you were at that affair at the Jerse's last evening," she says with a little smile. "It sounds as if you had quite an evening. I'm sorry I missed it. But you wanted to speak to me about something?"
Lorth Tuesday July 31st, 2007 7:57:08 AM
Lorth greets Dulcet warmly, "Good day M'lady and yes we would like to have a word with you about the Jerse's residence. It seems there is some sort of evil residing in the house, however we could do almost nothing about it because we are not agents of the law. Our hands where tied. Is there some way we could gain permission to investigate this private residence? Either by becoming agents of the law, or special order? Harvest informed the Jerse's of said evil, but they seemed not to care." Lorth waits for Dulcet's response.
Harvest Tuesday July 31st, 2007 9:13:23 AM
Bread and cheese in a large wicker basket along with apples, pears, bunches of grapes and three strange red fruit that the fruit monger insisted contained many tart juice filled seeds. Wrapped separately, in a cheery red and white cloth are a dozen golden pastries filled with steaming savory meats.
Harvest returns, her mind still filled with thoughts of Anthos' earlier departure. She should have gone with him. Why did he not ask her? If this were his father who he had never met, would he not wish to share such a meeting with her? In the sadness of his passing could he not think that she would wish to be there to support and comfort him?
"The townsfolk, they seem not to have been put out by our investigation last night." That is all that she says upon her return to the group. Harvest Moon sets the food before the others wrapped in silent thought.
She is equally silent when they are ushered before the leader of the Pitchfork Council. The Jerses and the presence of evil within their home now seems very far away and lacking in importance.
Bralin Tuesday July 31st, 2007 11:36:18 AM
Any's sudden departure is a setback, as he would have been their voice with Dulcet. Bralin swings his axe in practiced sweeps while dwelling on the new problem.
His session is halted by the double appearance of the new man and Harvest. As Harvest has lunch, Bralin moves to her first.
The monk produces several handfuls of fruit. Bralin makes a mental note - he must respond the next time Harvest asks for preferences. But then the sandwiches are exposed, and the black armored dwarf happily helps himself to one.
He turns to Desolute. "I am Bralin Stoneminder," he relates. Dressed in unadorned dull black platemail, the dwarf - black eyes, black whiskers, black hair, dirt covered skin - awaits his reply.
At Dulcet's, Bralin says nothing.
Desolute Tuesday July 31st, 2007 12:56:12 PM
Desolute meets each with good manners. At the moment, he feels more the acquaintance then a member, but he is not one to give himself up easily to a weakness some call friendship. That takes much trust, something Desolute has never known. He does find them all noble in the moral sense and appreciates that. "What happened between you and the Jerse's last night is really none of my business at this time, but I like you all well enough to tell you that Itzal openly threatened you in my presence last night. He said he would make you pay. I am unsure if he meant in a monetary form or not, nor would I presume, either. I just thought you should know."
As they prepare to go to see Dulcet, he will remark. "I am looking for work in the area, or I will need to move on. I was thinking the Jerses might need some help and I could offer my services to them. One never knows what one might find while employed?"
As they leave he will also. If they ask him to go with them to tell his story of the threat, he will refuse with a friendly smile, "I know enough about the law to know, hear say is not evidence enough for actions and to be honest with you, the less we are seen together, the more I may be able to discover about this evil you speak of. It is clear none of you will be able to get close to it again, unless it's cornered."
He will walk back to Jerse manor. Taking the same route as before. He will introduce himself again to the man at the door and ask if Lady Jerse or the house staff has any employment opportunities?
Malgant Tuesday July 31st, 2007 4:59:30 PM
Malgant waits through the morning at Dulcet's residence. He spar's with Bralin if the dwarf has a mind to, passing the time with feints and parries. When Harvest returns he is quite happ to munch on whatever she has brought as a snack. He notes the half-orc in her company and introduces himself as Malgant, nothing more. He knows he saw the man at the party last night, but does not think he spoke to him. When ushered into the home of Dulcet Malgant introduces himself. "Greetings Lady Dulcet. My name is Malgant and I aspire to be a protector of Domi. The Sword's rescued me a short while ago and I have decided to stay and try and do some good at their side. Lorth is, as am I, concerned about the evil that our friend Florin noted in the house. However we do not wish to take the law into our own hands to combat it. The other Swords felt that you would be able to set us on a path where we might rid the area of an evil presence whilst following the laws of the land. Your advice is greatly appreciated." As he says this he looks Lady Dulcet directly in the eye, being sure not to shade the statements he makes with his own feelings . He jopes he has delivered his words in a manner that shows respect for her position and elicits a desire for her to help them help the town.
Arminas Tuesday July 31st, 2007 6:33:15 PM
Arminas' eyes light up at the basket of fruit and breads Harvest has brought. He takes an apple, pear and the strange red fruit.
"I have never tasted one of these, but have heard they are delicious."
Arminas tries the fruit, and the tartness is evident on his face. He takes a bit of cheese and bread, and follows it with more of the red fruit.
"What a wonderful combination, Bralin you must try these."
The red juice runs down his chin.
"Oh, excuse me. You were at the party last night. I am Arminas"
Arminas is an elf, with the typical greenish garb of the forest, and a long bow upon his back.
OOC: Last post for two weeks, take it away Al.
Florin Jadenth Tuesday July 31st, 2007 9:39:40 PM
Florin enjoys his spar with Ivy, cheating and all.
When the group meets up with Dulcet he listens and watches to see what happens or is said anyway. He does think and makes a small comment, "Yeah, I figure that the Jerse family will probably make some type of complaint anyway so it is better that you know the situation. The lady of that house likes drama and attention and I would expect bucking some adventurers like us would bring some attention to her, alittle good and bad I would presume."
Davros Tuesday July 31st, 2007 10:24:32 PM
Davros expands upon Malgant's statement as he speaks with Madam Dulcet. "I fear the boy, Itzal may be involved with magic that is better left alone." With that, Davros gives an overly detailed(and long-winded) account of the events at the party."I will miss Anthos. He makes a point with his words much better than I"
DM Kathy Wednesday August 1st, 2007 12:07:09 AM Desolute catches up with the group at Dulcet's and introduces himself. Dulcet smiles in acknowledgement of his greeting. "We owe a great deal to the Swords of Light," she tells him. "I am pleased to see that they continue to expand their numbers with talented adventurers."
She has another smile for Maglant. "But we have met, you know," she says. "Briefly, when you returned from the new elven settlement."
She listens soberly to your descriptions of the party. "It does sound as if there was something going on there," she says. She sighs. "Aurelia Jerse is not a bad sort of person, really," she says, "but she has a very strong sense of her own consequense, and a keen ambition. She won't thank you for interfering.
"Nevertheless," she continues, "it does seem as if this matter bears further investigation. I would suggest that you do what you can without actually disturbing the Jerse family further. Speak to their neighbors, perhaps, or to young Itzal's teachers at the magic school. Return to me with what you find, and we can see what is to be done."
Lorth Wednesday August 1st, 2007 7:44:44 AM
"Thank you for your time, Lady Dulcet", Lorth says, as he bows. Not exactly the answer Lorth wanted to hear but none-the-less a prudent one. He turns to leave and makes his exit if everyone is done talking. Outside he introduces himself to Desolute, "I am Lorth Jeredosta, Paladin of Gargul", he says, "I am pleased to make your acquaintance."
Harvest Wednesday August 1st, 2007 9:19:14 AM
"I am sorry, Madam Dulcet." Harvest Moon's voice comes from the back of the group. The girl, hidden behind the taller members, the voice appears to come from out of thin air. "What is it about the events of last night leads you to believe that this matter bears further investigation at all? The Jerses are not likeable people," she bluntly asserts, "but there is no great threat in that. Itzal Jerse excels suddenly in his pursuit of magic. I see no harm their either."
"The only cause that we have to investigate is the sign of Evil that Paladin Florin detected on the upper floors of the house last night. His word I would take as evidence as solid as a blade or stone. But I am confused as to what this evidence might mean, Madam Dulcet. We were of many different minds last night. Some of us spoke of danger great enough to threaten us that very night. Some said that there was no threat great enough to warrant the breach of the Jerse's privacy that an investigation would surely bring."
Harvest Moon slides between her companions, coming to the fore.
"Of the details we have brought to you, please tell us the things that your wisdom has plucked to bring you to the conclusion that further investigation would bring greater peace to the community than the investigation itself would disrupt."
"I have thought much about this last night, Madam Dulcet. There are times when it is difficult to find the right and wrong of things. There are times when the needs of the few conflict with the needs of the many, and I think that there must be a Lawful system that protects both. Among the elves of Windtree they follow the wisdom of their Council of Elders. Here in this valley I think that Law flows from the Pitchfork Council and from you who act in its name."
"I do not think, Madam Dulcet, that we can act unless we do so in the knowledge that our actions are in accordance with such Law. Is your faith in our wisdom such that you could officially deputize us to act in your name? I think that this may be the only way that we may act with conscience."
Arminas - Sub/Al Wednesday August 1st, 2007 9:29:35 AM
The elfish ranger stands off in a corner, leaning upon his bow. One eyebrow arches in a questioning expression as Harvest goes on about law and action. Every creature that moves, breathes, eats and makes love is born with the knowledge of what is right and what is wrong. It lives inside them and is honed by their interaction with nature.
Arminas remains where he stands, silent and unmoving. He does, though, manage to refrain from rolling his eyes.
Bralin Wednesday August 1st, 2007 10:16:41 AM
"One may wield power and remain unlikable," Bralin points out to Harvest.
"We inquire further to ascertain whether true danger exists. We inquire discreetly so as to mollify the political situation in the event we are wrong."
Desolute Wednesday August 1st, 2007 11:18:39 AM
(ooc: Sorry all, I guess the mix up had me confused as to where we were. I thought we were at the inn.)
Desolute sits in the house of Dulcet. He listens to the others as they speak and then he openly cringes as Florin announces his deity of choice. He looks perplexed with the paladin's decision and questions him with side long glances. A paldin of Gargul, maybe this is the group for me? Gargul knows I sent enough people to visit him,
Desolute has learned from many years "with the law" not to speak unless your spoken to. So he sits politely waiting for the others to end their visit. Then we can decide what to do next.
Florin Jadenth Wednesday August 1st, 2007 9:37:01 PM
Florin turns to Davros thinking of a few things and speaks first of the previous night, "I forgot to thank you for coming and helping look after Ivy's family last night. However now with more pressing matters I need to ask a question of you. You trained in a school didn't you? The teachers would notice if a student was acting strangely like Itzal. I ask because I'm curious of how much info we can gleam from visiting the school. Also I wonder how many Itzal might of became close too...maybe a teacher is also partly responsible for some of the things. If so then it could be a bigger problem then we all think."
Florin doesn't like dealing in maybes and theories but if a teacher could happen to be helping Itzal in some way evil then it could cause a larger problem.
Davros Wednesday August 1st, 2007 10:13:01 PM
Outside, Davros ponders what is being said while enjoying a bit of lunch provided by Harvest. "The food is excellent Harvest, thank you for thinking of us."
"I must disagree with your assesment of the Jerse household though. If Itzal is involved with a creature from the Abyss, then he places himself, and his family at great risk. Madam Dulcet has given us wise council. We should investigate and see where it leads. It may very well turn out to be a matter for local authorities to handle, and if so we should give them as much info as we can find."
"Friend Florin, yourself and Ivy's family are most welcome. I believe I still owed you for plucking a couple of arrows out of my sorry hide anyway. As for your questions...yes I trained at a school. It was a very private place. Students did not apply, they were 'found' by the headmaster to come and study there. As for the teachers, they were encouraged to push each student in whatever field they chose. I am loathe to admit it, but more than one of my fellow apprentices probably had evil tendencies. Regardless, checking out the school is important to our information gathering. And if something worse than Itzal hides there, Davros looks around at the group I have no doubt we will find it."
"So what should we do? We should speak with the neighbors, check out the school, and maybe even keep an eye on the Jerse residence. Should we split up or take one task at a time?"
"Desolute, forgive me if I have not introduced myself yet, my name is Davros Sapphiredge. Considering our current circumstances, we could probably use your help. Are you up for a little investigating?"
DM Kathy Thursday August 2nd, 2007 12:00:10 AM
"You are partly right, my dear," Dulcet says to Harvest. "The Pitchfork Council does have authority in Cinnamon Valley, but only because the people consent to be ruled. Should the Council's rule prove...unpopular, then the people could revoke that consent. So you see, the Council rules, but is ruled in turn by those whom it oversees." She smiles. "It is the paradox of democracy. We therefore strive not to exert our authority too forcefully, lest we be ousted as tyrants and replaced by others. This is why I must ask you to investigate the evil indirectly. Gather evidence elsewhere to corroborate Paladin Florin's findings. We will then be in a better position to confront the Jerses directly."
Since the other Swords seem agreeable to the task, Dulcet merely asks if there are any more questions.
Lorth Thursday August 2nd, 2007 7:53:05 AM
Lorth waits silently outside for his companions to finish discussing things with Dulcet.
Harvest Thursday August 2nd, 2007 10:43:08 AM
Harvest Moon nods at the explanation.
"I understand Madam Dulcet, and I will do my best to investigate this thing. But I must know how we may know the boundries of the Law so that we will not break it ourselves."
"Bralin Stoneminder is correct. One may wield power and be unlikeable. Neither is necessarily a threat, nor does either strike me as a crime."
"I saw nothing in the upstairs rooms that struck me as either threatening or criminal. I am sorry, Davros Sapphiredge, but I did not detect anything that lead me to believe that an Abyssal creature had been there either."
"Will we not know the bounds of the Law until we break it? I must know, how is it that we may know the Law?"
Arminas - Sub/Al Thursday August 2nd, 2007 10:48:53 AM
With a small shake of his head, the elfish ranger slips quietly out the door. He breathes deeply of the fresh outdoor air. The sun, the sky, the trees over the rooftops, how much simpler could one want things to be?
Without turning to the paladin next to him, Arminas speaks. "Some people just can't see the forest through the trees," he says.
Bralin Thursday August 2nd, 2007 11:02:43 AM
The dwarf's head hurts. He rubs the tip of his nose in a concerted effort to follow the young monk's sudden shifts in attitude.
"Harvest," he begins, and then falls silent, dispatching his intended comment.
Bralin thinks a moment, and tries again. "The mission is to acquire information regarding the boy and his abilities, without him knowing we are doing so. As none of his peers spend time with him, this should not be difficult. Should you wonder if an action you plan to undertake is contrary to local law, inquire of Lorth. Mitigating circumstances hold no sway on his opinions of law."
With that, Bralin bows politely to Dulcet and leaves the room. "We should return to the inn and plan," he opines to Lorth, and whoever else is in the area.
Davros Thursday August 2nd, 2007 7:17:09 PM
"I agree with Bralin. Let us return to the Inn and plan our investigation."
Florin Jadenth Thursday August 2nd, 2007 11:25:49 PM
Florin nods and looks to Bralin, "On our way I would like to stop off at the temple and request some aid for Ivy and her family, even if it's just in the form of some protection spell or ward."
Florin doesn't speak much on plans for the moment but on the way back to the Inn he does take time to go see the temple of Domi and speaks to them of some protection for Ivy and her family. He will explain his concerns to hopefully one of the higher priests of the temple and also offer 20platinum for the help, hoping this would be a good donation for the services. (Florin is also hoping maybe his reputation from the Float might help but is more then willing to offer a donation for the services.) Florin will also see if there is any word on Jella coming as he was doing this through the temple and also tells the priest that he is looking forward to taking his marriage vows in Domi's name.
After this Florin moves to meet back at the Inn with the others. Seeing them, he takes a seat before speaking mainly to Bralin, "I was thinking of a suggested course of action. With the threat mentioned and such serperating might be a bad idea but I think we should deal with the school and the town people talking to at once. I think Lorth or I should deffinetly go to the school, along with Davros for sure. One of the paladins for their ability to detect evil, Davros since he has more arcane knowledge then probably anyone here...well except maybe Desolute. I did catch your name right?" Florin looks to the half-orc a moment before turning his attention back to his friend Bralin, "If we split then both groups should have atleast some healing with them or a person that can handle that possible role. The final decision would be yours but this is my two coppers."
Florin leans back in his chair and taps a finger on the vizor helmet he usually is wearing as he wonders what this will all end with. He prays that they do not have to raise weapons against Itzal really, he doesn't like the idea of killing a child for he has no where near seen the years of half the party, let alone half the evils that they seen and the twisting that those evils can do to people. Florin sighs abit before speaking, the image of one of the children falling from a window of the GG not far from him and dying coming to his mind, "There is no reason to mince words on this so I will say it openly now to all of you. If it comes to a fight with Itzal then I would like to try and save him before we resort to other methods. I don't want you to think I will hesitate and cost the lives of any of you...my friends and who I consider part of my family...but I feel I have enough children's blood on my hands already." Florin's eyes move back to Bralin and he locks his eyes on the sturdy dwarf's eyes, Florin showing some tears that he isn't letting fall, "Your the leader Bralin so I'll do if it comes to a fight with Itzal. However I simply wish to ask that favor if it comes to pass. I believe if he is in contact with some type of evil thing that if a protection from evil spell or such was used and Itzal knocked out then it would have to flee the protected area. That would give us time to destroy it. This of course being if he is being used by something. We'll have to find out what we're fighting first."
Malgant Friday August 3rd, 2007 12:05:36 AM
" knowing the Law is usually a simple thing. If you think that what you are about to do is a breach of the law, it likely is. Walking, eating, breathing are things you take for granted and never think about. However, walking in someone elses home, eating food that is not yours, either bought or given to you are breaches of the law, trespassing and stealing ,respectively. Sorry I couldn't make up and illegal breathing example. Does a man who steals food to feed his family still break the law even though he does so for a good reason? Yes. He may know that he is breaking the law, but feel the good done outweighs the penalty he will pay if caught. but it is still a beach of the law."
Desolute Friday August 3rd, 2007 12:21:46 AM
The half or smiles at the word "Investigate" and replies, "Investigating is for those that work for the law, something I do not. Now, snooping, I'm very good at snooping. I believe in calling things as they are."
Desolute listens to Florins words and acknowledges his correct pronunciation. He shows no emotion to his story or his grief, I wonder how many children he has killed? I remember thirty to fifty through the rages, every face etched upon my nightmares, forever.
The fact that they plan in front of him is a good sign. They have not asked him to leave, or bade farewell themselves, nor have they questioned his virtue after he has told his tale.
DM Kathy Friday August 3rd, 2007 12:55:47 AM
As Harvest continues to puzzle over the law, Mistress Dulcet concludes, "I will do this much for you. I will write a letter of introduction to the school, so that they will know you have our blessing to look into this matter. Whether it will avail you anything I do not know, but I will write the letter for you." As promised, she excuses herself for a moment, and returns with a letter bearing an important-looking seal. "There," she says. "Official as you like. Good luck, my dears. And be careful."
The temple brushes aside Florin's proffered donation, reminding him that Ivy's father is a priest. They will keep a close watch over the family.
The Swords meet at the inn to discuss strategy. Florin proposes splitting into two groups, a strategy that could be risky, but could mean finding answers sooner.
The magic school, however, is in Rowena, which is several days' travel from Jarlwolf. Can the party afford to be separated for so long?
Harvest Friday August 3rd, 2007 10:22:41 AM
The crest of hair that drapes down over her forehead wags back and forth as Harvest Moon shakes her head.
"I will take the letter, Madam Dulcet, and I will use it as you say. But I am still unsure of what is the Law and how we are to act. If, as you say, you are the Authority of the Law granted by a mandate from the people, then the Law is a changeable thing, different from person to person and subject to the whims of popularity. That seems a very chaotic thing to me."
"I had always thought that the Law was a thing divine that a Paladin might know in his or her soul. But what does one do when paladins disagree?"
Harvest Moon sighs.
"Could I, perhaps, return at a later time, Madam Dulcet, and learn from you about the Law? A man to whom I owe great devotion and respect once taught me that it is very important to act in accordance with the Law. It is important to me."
After receiving her answer, the small brown girl runs off to join the others. In her mind are so many things.
Desolute Friday August 3rd, 2007 12:12:52 PM
Desolute ponders the words of Harvest. She is a very emotional person. He thinks back to an old saying that used to go around the orphanage, It's not illegal, unless you get caught. Boy was that a true saying and somehow it lead him here.
"Harvest, if I may share with you my philosophy on laws? It something that in this region does not need to be written down, but something people feel in their heart. The people out here don't want the laws of a city, but really want to obey the laws of nature. You don't see two squirrels fighting each other to the death, and neither do these people. Popular majority is the law and we should be thankful, that we only need to protect peoples personal freedoms to become a part of it. In my opinion, if there is only one source of evil out here in nowhere, we are quite fortunate."
Desolute looks toward the others, "Why are you really worried about this kid anyway? He is to darn soft to go adventuring to gather any real power and it's not like there is anyone around here he can go adventuring with to get that power. I think we should go find some real sport to fill our pockets. Like I said, I'm looking for work, not looking for snotty nosed punks with evil familiars."
Bralin Friday August 3rd, 2007 5:02:33 PM
The left corner of Bralin's mouth twitches upward as he listens to Desolute. "Snooping, then," he chuckles.
Answering Florin, he nods slowly, "If possible, we shall attempt to save the boy."
A glance at Desolute. "Our company places but small value on 'pocket lining'," he concedes. "We are pledged to the Council and Dulcet. She is interested in pursuing this matter, and asks us to attend. Thus we do."
The dwarf pauses a moment to take a drink. Tis been a long speech. "And, tis best to seal a small crack, 'ere it widens into a chasm."
Back to Florin. "I mistrust splitting up, with the school days off. I would we all depart for Rowena with the dawn."
Back to Desolute. "Would ye assist us with our snooping?" he asks with a half grin of jest.
Malgant Friday August 3rd, 2007 5:43:46 PM
To Desolute. " Bralin has the Brass tacks reason for helping the boy, but there is another. Anyone who wishes to weild grat magic can use it eaither to help or to harm. With a temper like what I saw last night, if he is not taught restraint and moderation someone will get hurt. Maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow but eventually. I'm not doing it for Itzal, I;m doing it for the other people that might be walking down the street or standing next to the person that makes him angry." To everyone. " I dislike splitting up too. Even though we are just 'snooping' we might stumble onto something that wants to be left alone and those somethings usually have a nasty bite."
Desolute (second post) Friday August 3rd, 2007 6:10:50 PM
Desolute wants very much to move on, not his spirit, but his instinct. This is getting deep. He wants to be good, but it takes much practice. Bralin nailed the coffin closed with his words of a thin crack turning to a chasm. That's exactly how it happens, Desolute will testify. Almost without money, always without friends and often hungry, he makes a decision. Take the easy road and go back to what he was, or get a grip on what he feels is right and follow it. "Look, I don't have the convenience of going from inn to inn at leisure, with my current situation, but I will make a bond with you all, if your willing to pay for my room and board during this 'snooping' you want to do. I promise in this regard to eat no more or no less then I normally do and this will remain until you no longer want my services or we as a team begin to make some capital, in which case, I want an equal share. Is this agreeable with you all?" At least I can rest out of the weather for awhile and even cold food is better then none.
DM Kathy Sunday August 5th, 2007 11:07:41 PM
Dulcet agrees to discuss the Law with Harvest in more depth another time.
Upon further consideration, the Swords decide not to split up the party. Desolute is more concerned with making some coin than helping "snoop", but when pressed, admits that he is not so much unremittingly mercenary as completely broke.
The Swords are eager to start their investigation, but will they begin at the magic school or with the Jerse's friends and neighbors?

Harvest Monday August 6th, 2007 8:34:09 AM
"This is the road to Rowena." Harvest Moon opens her book to the page she had drawn after the rescue of Remo Thistlefoot. Upon the page, the trade road to Rowena winds around the forest, but just off the road is a thin pen mark, leading to the small picture of a cabin. Near the cabin is a girl fending off a large armored insect with a pitchfork. The legend nearby is Meg Thistleburr. Even deeper into the woods, tucked within the bend of a river is the picture of what might be a fortress or a castle. A picture is drawn near this structure as well. Part lion, part dragon, part goat and part scorpion, the figure is a chimera.
All of this, however, is incidental. Harvest Moon runs her finger along the main trade road to Rowena.
"It will take at least two days to reach Rowena from here and it is already noon. The Jerse home is no more than an hour away. I think it would be best to ask questions there using the remainder of this day, and then leave for Rowena early tomorrow."
Her eyes drop to the table, before they slide to the empty chair in which Anthos would have sat. There is a tightness within her chest and the desire to run, irrationally out the door to seek him. Instead, Harvest Moon merely sighs. She lifts her eyes to her companions, gathered around the table. There is an obligation to be fulfilled.
Malgant Monday August 6th, 2007 4:46:18 PM
" That makes sense Harvest, since we wouldn't be able to get there today or even tomorrow. Who do we want to talk to as his neighbors and what do we want to ask them? The Jerse's don't seem that popular, so what do we think their neighbors will be able to tell us, and how reliable do we think it will be?" Malgant asks his questions earnestly, actually not sure if the neighbors will be a help or a cloud of unrelated and possibly false information that may muddle the investigation.
Arminas - Sub/Al Monday August 6th, 2007 5:01:19 PM
"We could ask the Animals if anything unusual happens around the house. People discount animals and will do things around them that they wouldn't around other people."
Arminas shrugs from his seat in he corner.
"But then again, animals have a different idea of what's strange. They have a different idea of what is time."
"And most people look alike to them."
Desolute Monday August 6th, 2007 6:15:01 PM
Desolute begins to earn his way, "Well, I know if Itzal isn't popular, then it's possible they have a disgruntled exemployee running around town somewhere. Perhaps they may be willing to talk, where others are not? Also, the school may be a few days away, but it's possible that others from the school may be here as well. I think we can perhaps find information to both back at the inn or the market."
Bralin Monday August 6th, 2007 8:02:07 PM
"Aye, let us journey to Rowena tomorrow." Bralin agrees. As for how to deal with what questions to ask the neighbors, the dwarf lets the others take the lead.
His does nod at Desolute's suggestion.
Florin Jadenth d20+6=20 d20+3=18 d20+3=7 d20+3=23 Monday August 6th, 2007 10:43:32 PM
Florin thinks and looks to Bralin, "Hey Bralin, we could let the others gather some info while we and maybe someone else goes and gets a drink." Florin smiles, he figures if they start talking around at the local bar/pub that someone might have some info not to mention some people are willing to talk for a drink or if they had enough.
If Bralin agrees then Florin will head to the bar with him. Florin will order a glass of elven wine if the bar serves such drinks and just chit chat with the bartender about the party at the Jerse's seeing what respsonses he might get from others that can hear him.
DM Kathy Monday August 6th, 2007 11:46:14 PM
Talking it over, the Swords agree to postpone the Rowena trip until tomorrow, and to use what's left of the day to talk to townsfolk about the Jerses.
Arminas suggests talking to animals, though he freely admits that the chances of success are slim.
Maglant wants to go out and talk to the Jerse's neighbors, while Desolute thinks it might be worthwhile to look for a former employee, or possibly somebody else from the magic school.
Bralin is content to let others take the lead in this.
Florin, realizing that some information can probably be gleaned right here in town, heads to the inn to put in a hard day's drinking and chatting.
He finds several opportunities to ply people with drinks, though for the most part he learns nothing he didn't know already. That Jerse kid is a weird one. The Jerses think they're better than everybody. Other young people hereabouts don't like the kid. Teachers around here said the kid is bright, but won't put in the work.
Toward the end of the day, though, Florin finds himself buying another round for a stout, middle-aged farm wife, who has very handily put a couple of rounds away already. "I'll tell you something peculiar," she says, dropping her voice to a conspiratorial whisper. "I was down the end of my lane a couple of weeks ago, and I seen young Master Jerse a-talkin' to somebody. Only there weren't nobody there to talk to, if you follow me. A-talkin' to thin air, the boy was, and a-noddin' and a-smilin' as if somethin' answered him back." She takes a healthy pull from her mug. "I always did say those Jerses were strange," she concludes.
Harvest d20+2=21 Tuesday August 7th, 2007 12:20:25 PM
"I will search for the stable that has provided the Jerse's with the coach to take Itzal to and from his school in Rowena," announces Harvest Moon. "Perhaps they will remember when it was that he first began his studies there. The driver of the coach may also have noticed odd things along the way." (Gather Information 21)
Arminas - Sub/Al Tuesday August 7th, 2007 12:24:18 PM
"That's a good idea, Harvest. Horses have a keen sense of smell, and an even keener sense of danger. It may actually pay to ask the horses if they sensed anything during Itzal's trips from school."
Arminas will follow along, casting Speak with Animals once the stable has been identified. He'll question the horses as to whether they remember anything unusual that might have involved a the scent of a dangerous thing where there was no dangerous thing in sight.
Desolute d20+3=14 d20+3=5 d20+3=9 Tuesday August 7th, 2007 2:25:13 PM From what I saw, the Jerses are wealthy enough to afford their own carriage and stables. Won't hurt I guess. Desolute will stroll along the market. He disregards his old habits of looking for easy money and instead starts listening in here and there. He will use what's left of his money to gather information like.
How do people market themselves if unemployed? DC14 Any recent job changes occur in regard to help staff, at the Jerses? DC5 Any mages in town from the school a couple days away, or perhaps another student? DC9
It is clear Desolute needs to practice more of his information skills. He is used to relying on his sword istead of his wit. That must change.
Davros Tuesday August 7th, 2007 4:07:04 PM
"Maybe someone could try to find their servant Lucarinda at the market? She seemed open to talk to us."
Davros will spend some time visiting merchants in town that might be frequented by wizards. Herbalists, Crafters who make alchemical equipment, potion shop?, likely vendors at the market, paper and parchment merchant, purveyors of ink, etc. and see if any of them have had much dealings with Itzal, and if they are willing to talk about it.
After, Davros will travel with other party members and speak with the Jerses neighbors.
Bralin Tuesday August 7th, 2007 5:08:07 PM
Bralin hasn't the faintest idea how to go about snooping.
The dwarf decides to accompany Desolute. The half-orc may have a pointer or two. Plus, Bralin can serve as protection, if needs be.
Malgant Tuesday August 7th, 2007 10:49:32 PM
For once at a loss for words, Malgant decides to try the marketplace for the maid of the Jerse's, Lucarinda. He has seen Lady Jerse scold the woman unendingly fo what to him appears no good reason, perhaps it is worth a shot trying to talk to her. Malgant heads to the marketplace and has a look around.
DM Kathy Tuesday August 7th, 2007 11:56:39 PM Harvest asks around, and finds that the Jerses do indeed keep their own stable and carriage. She and Arminas head in that direction (the group does have finery to return, which makes a convenient excuse). Arminas casts a spell to speak with the horses.
You learn a great deal about which kinds of hay are the best, and where the sweet-tasting buttercups grow, and which groom has the gentlest hands. You also learn some interesting information from Itzal's own riding-horse.
"You must mean the water-friend," the horse says. "At least, I don't think he's made of water, but I can see right through him, so I call him the boy's water-friend. He comes out when he thinks nobody can see. He talks to the boy. I don't like him. He gives me the shivers."
Desolute learns that there is a notice-board in town, where jobs are posted for adventuring groups. If he asks about non-adventuring types of jobs, people tell him that it's harvest-time, and all a person has to do is ask. Indeed, the very possibility that the big, strong half-orc might be looking for work nets Desolute three job offers that very afternoon. None, alas, with the Jerses.
Darvros tries a few local shopkeepers. He finds several who are acquainted with Itzal. He hears the same general kinds of information the group has heard already: the boy's sudden success is a surprise, and he is not well-liked. The shopkeeper who sells spell components can report on what young Itzal has been replenishing. [Make a Spellcraft check to draw a conclusion.]
Maglant heads to the marketplace, hoping to find Lucarinda. Alas, he is not that lucky. He does, however, think he sees a servant he recognizes from last night. He gets closer, and finds the woman gossping with a friend as she picks out spices. "--not one bit, I can tell you that," she is saying as Maglant approaches. "Mistress shrugs it off and simply says not to invite them anymore, but the young master seems to want more. It'll lead to trouble, you mark my words."
Florin Jadenth Tuesday August 7th, 2007 11:58:44 PM
Florin listens to the lady as she talks and thinks of the party, he nods as he does come up with the idea that evidently the thing with Itzal has been with him for atleast a week and doesn't sound like it is confined to the house alone. He does ask another question as he pays for the lady's drink, "That is quite interesting to hear miss. You see him around that area often?" Afrer getting some asnwers he speaks once more, "You've drank quite abit, would you mind if I seen you home to make sure you get there safe miss?" Florin offers not only to be nice but also to see where the lady lives for curiousity sakes.
Harvest Wednesday August 8th, 2007 9:17:55 AM
"So, there is an invisible thing to which Itzal Jerse speaks," remarks Harvest Moon upon hearing the horse's words from Arminas Calaelen. "It is distressing that this thing is something that the horse does not like."
"Knowing such, though, will not inform us on how to act. If it can come and go as it likes, then it may simply leave when confronted. And we cannot hold Itzal Jerse or follow him until it appears. So far too, we do not know that it has harmed anyone. Nor do we know for certain whether it is from this thing that the evil that Paladin Florin Jandeth detected originates."
"Please tell the Mistress of the house," Harvest Moon says later as they return the fine clothing, "that I offer my most sincere apologies for disrupting her party last night. We still believe, though, that there may be the danger of an evil presence. Please tell her that should she feel there is any danger, that she may call upon us for protection."
Harvest leaves the name of the inn at which they are staying in Jarlwolf. If they cannot confront this invisible creature, then perhaps it can be convinced to confront them.
Arminas - Sub/Al d20+17=23 d20+6=25 Wednesday August 8th, 2007 9:25:11 AM "You're a brave horse," Arminas tells Itzal's mount. "We think you might have reason for being wary of Itzal's Water Friend. Sharp Eyes, Four Hooved Friend," Arminas says in parting. "Sharp Eyes, and may the wind touch your mane."
The ranger trails along behind Harvest as she returns the things from the party last night. There's not much to say, so why say anything at all? But he and Ewan keep their eyes peeled for the boy's Water Friend. (Spot 23, Ewan Spot 25)
Bralin Wednesday August 8th, 2007 1:20:23 PM
Bralin mosies about. He is out of his element, and must rely on the skill of his comrades.
The dwarf contents himself with moving about with Desolute, and keeping his eyes and ears open.
Later that afternoon, he returns to the inn to catch up with everyone else.
In the morning, it will time to journey to Rowena.
"Thank you sir, for your time." As the shopkeeper details the spell components Itzal frequently purchases, Davros wonders if a clue can be found here. After walking the market all day, Davros returns to the Inn for the evening meal and to report what he has learned.
Desolute d20+2=16 Wednesday August 8th, 2007 5:16:47 PM
Just out curiosity, Desolute will find out what the pay is from those three offers. One never knows when one will find themselves without work. "There's an adventuring board?" Desolute would ask with some surprise. "Are there that many adventurers and so many problems in the area that a community needs a board where a group can find work?" Desolute seems to like this area more and more. He will go and look at the board to see if there is anything that may pertain to the current situation or if there are any coincidences with time and the travel habits of Itzal. Desolute likes Bralin, mainly because he keeps his mouth shut unless there is something that needs to be said. That goes a long way with him and the dwarf does not interrupt Desolute's snooping, which is also good.

Malgant d20+4=23 d20+4=11 Wednesday August 8th, 2007 11:34:58 PM
Malgant listens to the woman's conversation as best he can (yay for orbital ears)and then moves on. Seeing as he cannot find Lucarinda he contents himself wiith roaming the market, listening to gossip and will return to the Inn at nightfall to relate what he has heard. Likely there is another party in their future. ooc first listen is to follow the servant's conversation. I made a second to overhear any other info in the marketplace
DM Kathy Thursday August 9th, 2007 12:02:34 AM Harvest leaves a warning with the Jerse family, and she an Arminas keep an eye out for invisible things on the way back to town. They do not see anything, however.
Davros realizes that, based on the material components Itzal has been buying, the boy has been doing a lot of Summoning spells. Some of them very advanced.
Desolute is able to find the adventuring notice board, but much of what he sees there is fairly low-level, low-paying stuff. Not bad for beginners, but most experienced adventurers are looking for more. He does not see any correlation with anything Itzal has been doing. As for his offers of honest toil, one pays 5 coppers per day plus room and board, another pays 1 gold per week, and the last pays 1 silver per day.
Maglant manages to overhear more of the servant's conversation. "What sort of trouble?" the other woman asks, sounding alarmed. "That I don't know," the servant replies, "but Young Master can be dreadful to folk who slight him, and he fancies those adventurers have slighted him something terrible. He was going on an on about it, and I think--" She is unfortunately interrupted at this interesting point as she pauses to haggle over some coriander, and the thread of the conversation is dropped. Maglant does not overhear anything else of interest.
You meet back at the inn to share your information. The night passes uneventfully, and the next morning you set off on your journey to Rowena. There is fog again this morning, and again the hope that it will burn off by midday. Just now, though, the air is chill and uncomfortable.
Harvest Thursday August 9th, 2007 10:38:11 AM
Itzal Jerse did not come. This is curious to Harvest Moon, especially in light of the things that Protector Malgant had told them the evening before. All in all, it might have been better if the young mage had come to confront them last night. But some things are not meant to be.
After morning prayer and a light breakfast, Harvest Moon walks out to the stables to retrieve Fyrda. Moonshadow is not there and Anthos is not by her side. Harvest feels a pang of emptiness within her.
Arminas - Sub/Al d20+17=36 d20+10=21 Thursday August 9th, 2007 11:13:01 AM
"Shall we ride today, Ewan?" The great eagle fluffs her feathers in discontent at the cold cloying fog. This is no weather within which to fly. "You'll carry Ewan, won't you Darkfire?"
Arminas pats the neck of the fiery horse. It would nice to be out of the town today. See if the boy can follow them without his carriage. The ranger snorts at the thought.
"Maybe we'd better leave word with Madam Dulcet, informing her of what we've found. If Itzal comes for vengence and finds us gone, he may be tempted to take his ire out upon someone else."
If no one else heeds his words, Arminas will go to Dulcet's himself and leave a note if necessary. Regardless, he keeps a sharp eye out on the road. (Spot 36, Listen 21)
Desolute Thursday August 9th, 2007 12:09:34 PM
Desolute ponders the adventuring board. More like a practice board really. I suppose if an entire group of low levels can do it, I can do it by myself and get all the reward? Nope, not gonna do it. Wouldn't be pruning for him to give his word and back out now. He goes with Bralin back to the inn. He sits and listen's to his new comrades plan. Then he goes where he is to sleep and does so. The next morning, he eats his fill, and chases it with an ale, then he throws on his pack and stands waiting for the others to get ready.
Bralin Thursday August 9th, 2007 1:40:12 PM
Bralin nods in agreement with Arminas. "And the innkeeper," he adds.
The dwarf locates the innkeeper and informs her he and his comrades will be in Rowena for a day or two.
His duty done, Bralin arms himself and mounts his warhorse, Mica. As is his custom, the warrior falls to the rear of the group, watching their backs.
Malgant Thursday August 9th, 2007 4:35:25 PM
Nodding to Arminas, Malgant agrees. " Maybe you should write it out for her though. She took a dreadfully long time to see us yesterday, due to her duties and all and we can't afford to lose any of the light today for traveling." Malgant checks to make sure he has all of his gear and speaks to the innkeeper as well. He pays for a weeks stay and asks that the innkeeper hold his room. Once he was used to it i was pretty comfy. As they start out Malgant notes Bralin at the back of the group and takes up a position in front, expecting that Arminas will prefer to scout ahead.
Florin Jadenth Thursday August 9th, 2007 10:02:50 PM
Florin meets up with the others at the Inn and tells them of the lady he met and her story of Itzal near the end of her block, talking to himself or a invisible something around a week ago.
Florin smiles abit, "From the sounds whatever it is travels away from the house and it has been with him for atleast a week by the info I got."
Florin spends the night resting and thinking over things. When morning comes he suits up with all his equipment and readies to head out with the others.
Davros Thursday August 9th, 2007 10:24:46 PM
Davros relates the troubling news gleaned from the shopkeepers in town. It appears Itzal has been doing some advanced summoning. Davros does some summoning of his own, and calls on a magic horse to carry him for the day.
