Durgan Thursday August 9th, 2007 9:45:03 PM
Durgan mirrors his brother's look of shock. "Well, call me an orc's Uncle. That was amazin'."
Randall Thursday August 9th, 2007 9:47:05 PM
Randall and Fluff (wrapped around his neck) walk up close to Savin and puts a hand on his shoulder.
" You were dead you dumb schmuck. And now your alive. Be happy. And that... is the reason we're all here and away from our homes. "
" Well now that our friend's back. What now? "
Anything Else? (DM/Al) Thursday August 9th, 2007 10:01:21 PM
"I will remain here, Trace Jacobs," the Avatar replies, "until you release me." The small girl with silver eyes smiles up at Peerimus and Yorrick. "Then Atman and I will return."
Shadow places her head under Trace's hand. The darkness all around is still and peaceful.
"Was there anything else that you wanted to ask?"
Vinder the Hilt Friday August 10th, 2007 9:38:23 AM
Vinder turns his attention from the newly risen Savin back to the child Avatar.
"Yeah, I have another question," he says in a more appropriate tone. "What the heck does Marteaus want with me?"
He scratches at his noggin. "I don't recall doing anything against him. Of course, in my line of business, you never know who's ire you'll earn."
It seems Vinder thought the last bit amusing. He smiles widely and pokes Randall with his elbow. "Hu, hu?! You know what I mean? Yeah..."
Peerimus and Yorrick Friday August 10th, 2007 12:13:28 PM
The kodiak gives a welcoming grunt towards the avatar and her touch and gets more comfortable.
Peerimus smiles as Savin sits up, "Easy friend, You've been mostly dead for some time now. Allow me to introduce you to the being we have been referring to the avatar." Peerimus then gives Savin a short version of the last several moments.
Looking Randall, "It may for you, but not all of us. If I were not here I would elsewhere. Where goodly heroes are needed to defend that which can not defend itself in hopes the Wold will be better for it."
He then returns to the girl, "His question is valid, though I would wish to elaborate. It would seem Altman is still with me, but the rest have been reclaimed by yourself for the lack of a better choice of words. I would ask that all of us be sent to the grove outside of Heranmar and NOT to the cursed land we were in just before the artifacts were reunited. I would also ask your blessing upon me, Yorrick and any other here that would seek it. I think I very much understand more of your representation and as a child of Father and Mother Wold would welcome your blessing."
Peerimus smiles at her and falls silent, then an afterthought hits him. "What of the Crones of the South? You bear a familiarity to them. Can you help me understand the connection?"
Quinn Friday August 10th, 2007 12:36:49 PM
Quinn hears some excited intakes of air and turns to see Savin breathing and has mixed feeling and more than a few question, but he holds his tounge for now.
Savin Friday August 10th, 2007 5:37:17 PM
Savin stands up and stretches exploring the sensations in his body. He doesn't know how he died, only that he did.
Savin listens to the story and his gaze falls on the young girl who looks so much like the crones from the past. He will bow low to them and smile. He then says, "Yes if we could get back to the normal Wold instead of this undead filled place, that would be good. I was wondering what we are supposed to be doing now. These tattoos have been running my life for so long now that I am not sure what to do next. Sounds like we are supposed to go and make babies. That sounds like fun but I am not ready for retirement yet."
Savin looks over at Quinn, grins and says, "Did you know that Gargul has big eyes?"
Durgan Friday August 10th, 2007 7:03:21 PM
"Well brother, one thing I will say is I don't expect much of a welcome back home while we retain the tattoos. I guess we will just have to keep showing evildoers the bootheel of justice fer awhile longer."
Durgan turns to the Avatar. "So if we are true Children of Chaos now, will chaos follow us wherever we go? Is this...chaos energy inside of us?" Durgan shudders at the thought.
Randall Friday August 10th, 2007 9:20:18 PM
Randall remains silent and waits.
Trace and Shadow Sunday August 12th, 2007 12:17:54 AM
I have a couple of questions, where we were, there were treasures to be had before we ended up here with you. Can you transport those items to Hernamar with us or would we have to return there to recive them or is this place that same room? Are there still forces of evil fighting on ther opisite side of chaos now even after we have won and if there are where are they located. Will Peerimus retain the ability to rasie the dead like he has done for Savin? Has anyone else recived a special power from this event. Trace starts to rambel on like a kid in a candy store waiting for answers.
Durgan Sunday August 12th, 2007 8:53:09 AM
"Hmmmm. Trace, would that mean we are returning to fight Quentin?"
The Plans of Marteaus (DM/Al) Sunday August 12th, 2007 9:17:06 AM
"Did you know that Value would not be the same either, without Chaos?" The small silver girl favors both Randall and Trace with a wry smile revealing an age well beyond the visage of her current form. "Value is different for different creatures. Some spend their waking lives chasing the value of things and attempting to understand it."
She laughs. "But I know that you will never want for material comforts," she continues, her answer enigmatic and, ultimately, unsatisfying. "But no. Trace, Peerimus will not retain the power over life and death beyond the bounds of this place and time. That is a power only possible with the aid of Atman, and only here, were there is no place and there is no time."
"Indeed, Vinder the Hilt," the Avatar turns her eyes to the rogue, "one never knows. "Marteaus is a hungry god. He is a god of disease and suffering," she turns to explain to those native of the Southern Continent. "He is well known in Vinder's land. Firn'gaer too is from that land. He seeks dominion, perhaps as much as your Ga'al, Vinder the Hilt. But he is subtle, and he works through many plans that span the ages. They are as dark tentacles that reach through time. And space as well. Koshe Marr is his creation, and that dark land now pushes at the bounds of the Gateway Downs, as you well know, Quinn deMarco."
"Marteaus has known of the Chosen of the Wold for some time now. In them he sees power, but he does not know the source of this power. Neither does he know it's purpose. But he has gathered Chosen to his bosom from across the ages, seeking to understand. Those of the Chosen who are predisposed to Evil he has drawn to do his bidding."
"You, Vinder the Hilt, were one who was taken for further study. You were as well, Randall Mercurial, as were the two of you, Durgan and Kazak Stonewall."
The Origin of the Crones (DM/Al) Sunday August 12th, 2007 10:08:45 AM
"Very well. I think that the grove outside of Heranmar would be a natural point of confluence to which you might return. As to my blessing, I am sorry, I have nothing to give you that you have not always had yourself. You are already possess all of the blessing that Chaos can bring. All creatures are. Both the blessings and the curses. Some blessing are curses as well, did you know?"
The Avatar smiles again, wry and ancient.
"You will return to the Wold, I think, Savin, and you will continue to do what is natural to you. Because even before you are Chosen of Chaos, you are heroes. The energy will flow through you, Durgan Stonewall, and through that action, the balance will be maintained. Lift your hand and will the tattoo to be unseen. It will be unseen. But that will not change your nature. Your nature is to be great heroes and that is something that I nor, I think, any god can change."
"Those that you know as the Crones were once as you are." The Avatar turns to Peerimus, offering this to the druid. "They were the first to confront me in this Place that is Not a Place. They numbered five, and they were powerful protectors even then. They summoned from me the Chaos Bell. They forged the five Artifacts. They defeated me, and then, resurrected, sent me back to the cosmos for the first time."
"Since that time, the original five have passed the mantle on to others. The jewel, the fist, the pearl, they are passed from old to new so that the land may never lack for protectors. The Crones in your time are far removed from the original five. They have found roots deep in the Blood of the Wold. They have even forged bonds with Witches throughout the Wold."
"But you, all of the Chosen, are descendants of the five originals."
"Many challenges await you still in the Wold. There will always be challenges. Such is the nature of Chaos. Without trial and turmoil, beings would not rise to their potential. Without struggle, without peril, without destruction, and yes, without tragedy, there would be no rise of heroes. Chaos follows everyone. It is everywhere. It is both blessing and curse."
The slight silvery figure stands amongst the forest of stout heroes. The look upon her face is a question, even as she provides answers.
"When you are satisfied and ready, return Atman to me," she says to Peerimus. "You will then return to the Wold. And I will return to the cosmos."
Peerimus and Yorrick Sunday August 12th, 2007 9:31:56 PM
The druids mind mulls over things as the avatar spoke. More of the gods of the north. Peerimus makes a note to himself to remeber thier names and what is said about them. This Marteus and Ga`al do not sound right to him and he will need to find out more about them. As it seems several in his company have been touched by them. Hopefully Firngaer can elaborate when they have some time alone.
To what she about the blessing he merely smiles and lowers his head a moment. The story of the Crones and thier beginnings in this intrigues him greatly and the druid's attention hangs on every word as his mind stores away the information. Not so that he might find some use for it, but just to know his own history and thus able to see more clearly his path and place in the Wold.
When she finishes he smiles warmly and thanks her. In a way like he refers to Maab and Eberyon as father and mother, he almost feels like this being is related, Auntie Chaos. The thought is likely inaccurate, but gives him comfort. "Thank you." he says sincerely and simply. Peerimus then looks to the others.
"I have nothing further and I think it is time for us to take leave." Peerimus will look to each for agreement before willing Altman back and saying "Farewell"
Quinn Sunday August 12th, 2007 10:06:47 PM
Quinn listens to the Avatar speak and then looks to Peerimuss as he claps his hands together and rubs them as it to warm them "Excellent history lesson, Well now brother Peerimuss, lets say you get us home. I have had more than enough of the place. Not to mention that I need to buy Savin dinner to hear all about Gargul. Shall we go home."
Quinn looks to make sure he as all of his gear ready and available for travel. "It will be good to be rid of this place."
Trace and Shadow Monday August 13th, 2007 2:23:35 AM
I think it is time to head back to the inn at Hernamar for a drink and food and then a nice bed to sleep in. Also maybe even a trip back to Hook city and see if any progress on turning the wharehouse into a proper base of operations is going. That I will need to rumage through the armor there and see if there is something worth wearing since mine was melted away by that worm.
Vinder the Hilt Monday August 13th, 2007 9:34:16 AM
Vinder isn't satisfied by the avatar's explanation of Marteaus' interest in him. He placed the matter in the back of his mind for further consideration.
"I'm ready," he says to Peerimus.
And where do I go from here? What's next for me?
Randall Monday August 13th, 2007 9:35:37 AM
{ 'Sigh... looks like we'll have no profits here Fluffy. }
" Let's get going then. Time is money. "
Savin Monday August 13th, 2007 5:49:36 PM
Savin looks down at his tattoos, and says, "I have cursed this tattoo for years. It has pushed me willy nilly around the Wold battling dragons, vampires, liches, golems and other foes. Still I think I will miss it a little. Life was never boring and it pushed my skills beyond most monks of my age. Guess that happens when you never get any time off. No I will wear my tattoo now out of choice and pride."
He looks over at the Avatar and tentatively approaches and gives her a quick hug. "You were an awesome foe. Not quite sure why you are suddenly so nice but I am glad that we had a chance to meet on friendly terms."
Savin looks at Peerimus and says, "Lets go home boss."
Durgan Monday August 13th, 2007 6:05:50 PM
"Aye. Let's be off. Did I hear someone say sumthin about gettin a drink?"

Game #4 Children of Chaos For the week of August 6, 2007
Kazak Monday August 13th, 2007 9:00:57 PM
Standing quietly as words echo around the dwarf soaks in the events happening around them.
Nodding back at Peerimus " lets go"
Return to the Wold (DM/Al) Monday August 13th, 2007 9:36:36 PM
The waving aurora rises from Peerimus as he releases it to go. It swirls about the small silver form, wrapping it in a whirlwind of rippling light. First, a single speck of light, then three, then nine, miniature stars break away and ride the light, leaving the Avatar to dance and rise. Soon the Avatar of Chaos has no form at all, and all is turning color and light. The whirlwind expands, quickly engulfing the members of the party. Each man, gnome and dwarf is pierced by the maelstrom. As the wind sweeps through them, they feel the vastness of the Wold nestled within the void of Jericho space. They feel the oneness of the Wold. The connections that all things share, and through this connections, they feel the other Chosen. Jaeden, Laima, Father Jasper, Niobe, Sly Foxx and his sister Ruby. Lady Silverhand is a tiny pulse. Ilsidur Wayfinder, Shiraz the giant minotaur, Barnum Berrybrawn and the old man Jurgen. Sir Thomas, Aleyna, Uteva, and Altemia. Lok Mufflefoot, Guardian Solomar, Neko, Pip Goodfellow, Gniffle, Alec Rackshie. Many more, some stronger than others, but all Chosen. Quinn too feels his father. Somewhere Quentin still stalks the land.
The light flares blinding white, and when it fades the night sounds of a forest fill the void, the cool of the evening touches the skin, a protecting canopy of branches arcs overhead. Nearby is a laughing brook. A voice hails a neighbor through the screening trees, and one or two lights gleam through gaps in the foliage. It is the glade outside Heranmar, the last of the day's fading light can be seen through the leaves up above. All is peace. All is quiet. And scattered across the grassy sward are staves and swords, weapons and trinkets of all manner and kind.
It's difficult to say. Even those closest to the altar upon the raised platform could only have caught the briefest of glimpses. Peerimus would have the best idea. But most certainly it seems likely, for what else could this be, but the many items strewn across the altar in the Nightshade Crypt?
(More on these things later. I've got to compile a list.)
Quinn Monday August 13th, 2007 10:51:19 PM
Quinn give a hearty sigh at the return to the Wold "Praise Gargul, we are finally back and none to soon."
Quinn looks around to make sure everyone made it and comments "We really are brothers or at least cousins according to the Avatar if we all decended from the original 5 crones." Quinn smiles at his new found friends.
Quinn's smile fades as he thinks of his father, but he pushes that from his mind fro now and calls out "I need a drink. Who is up for finding a pub. I need to buy Brother Savin a drink or three and find out what he can tell me about standing before Gargul in all his glory."
Trace and Shadow Tuesday August 14th, 2007 2:02:36 AM
Trace looks around and is glad that he could make it back in time to see this finnaly end. I know this will sound crazy but once i get some drink in me, I will go and find someone to put that spiral back on my hand. I dont know why I feel this way. I think maybe I dont want to stop fighting for the good.
Vinder the Hilt Tuesday August 14th, 2007 10:02:56 AM
Vinder squats amongst the grass and places a tentative hand upon the ground. He smiles.
"I do believe this is really real," he announces, looking up at the others, the relief written clearly on his face. "It's good to be on solid ground again."
He makes his way over to the brook to slake his thirst, smelling the water before deciding whether it's drinkable or not.
Back with the group, he looks at the weapons and trinkets strewn about. "So, I suppose this is our reward? Best be taking a closer look, don't ya think?"
Randall Tuesday August 14th, 2007 10:48:29 AM
The mage wraps his cloak tightly around himself and Fluffykins. All of this had happened fairly fast for them. They are no longer in the land and time that had called home. The past quests for profits and vengence may have to be put on hold until he can determine what their next steps will be.. he knows one thing however... a few dozen drinks sound good to him right now...
Randall... Tuesday August 14th, 2007 10:49:23 AM
" Well boys, let's grab the loot, get it identified and split up. Then the first round'll be on me. "
Peerimus and Yorrick Tuesday August 14th, 2007 11:46:40 AM
Peerimus breathes in deeply, the glade, what would be his glade. The air felt good. Glancing Vinders way, "The water is perfectly safe. It is one of the reasons I asked to come here. It is also relatively private and on the morrow we will have access to the Catacombs and supplies. " Peerimus winks at the dwarven brothers, "And there is a fine inn with good drink just in town and I expect breakfast to be waiting for Yorrick and I when we get in tomorrow morning."
Kazak Tuesday August 14th, 2007 5:20:47 PM
" Good news indeed " smiles Kazak " breakfast and drink........and they don't have to be in that order " laughs the dwarf as he winks back at Peerimus
"sounds like Quinn and Durgan are ready too " ;-)
Peerimus and Yorrick Tuesday August 14th, 2007 5:26:29 PM
Perimus motions to the items on the ground, "Memory says they were on the alter. Things collected and kept locked away by the Fidelia. Before anyone touches anything, considering thier last residence. I think we should cast about every detection spell we can upon them."
Peerimus smiles an easy warm smile, "I chose that order because I won't be there tonight."
Durgan Tuesday August 14th, 2007 9:16:59 PM
Durgan is halfway over to examine the treasure when Peerimus suggests some of it may be cursed. "Ah, well perhaps we should drink first, then eat, then drink, then examine the items when we are drunk. At least that way if anything is cursed it won't hurt too bad eh?"
Savin Tuesday August 14th, 2007 9:30:12 PM
Savin spins around, taking in his new enviroment, enjoying the feel of the sun on his face. He saunters over to take a look at the new items to see what is of interest.
