Malgant removes the ring from Itzal's finger and takes the packet from his pocket, showing both to Lorth and mentioning that they are magical. The Minotaur also looks for any books, scrolls or other writings on itzal's person that may have anything to do with Ivy or the summoning circle or Medonius. When he finsihes that he moves over to Florin's side and examines Ivy to see if he can determine why she has not yet awoken. He suspects either magic or a concoction of some kind has rendered her unconscious.

"I have just been trying to decipher and recall what I might know or have heard about this kind of thing. I have seen circles like this before, but I am not sure exactly what conjuration they were attempting here."
He takes Harvest's offered hands, draws her in for a quick check of her condition from the battle. Once assured that she is okay, and not in need of healing, he turns to Davros.
"What kind of spell could be upon Lady Ivy? Would it be possible to dispel something like the effects of a potion, or is that a physical rather than magical condition?"
He worries about Arminas, but he is capable, especially in the outdoors. Perhaps his retunr will shed further light on this problem.

Wolf Hill 12:30 am Friday November 9th, 2007 3:53:57 PM
Lorth assists Malgant in the examination of Itzal in any way he needs. In that regard, there is little to do for the paladin.
Desolute slowly walks north and into the darkness.
Arminas continues to follow his Quarry. About two hundred feet later he comes to a small tree sprayed with blood. The man he is following likely hit it at full speed. Arminas locates where he fell and subsequently scrambled to his feet and continued. The ranger picks back up his own pace. Catching him before day break will not be a problem At this rate he should be found unconscious in front of a larger tree or unconscious from exhaustion. Either way, this will be over within the hour.
Any looks about the are, the only thing that comes to mind from a arcanic point is a circle of summoning. Like a Magical Protection Circle, but designed to hold something in rather than out.
Davros asks on Ivy as well as if a search has been conducted in the vicinity for Dulcet. He also asks if he should attempt to dispel the lingering aura on the Altar.
Harvest points out the circle, Any is in agreement on what it is. What they may have planned is much harder to say. Given the people involved, it was unlikely about blessing babies and growing crops. Harvest gazes up and spies near direct overhead the half moon of Waard, dull and white. Its brother moon is lower and to the right. Nothing obvious like an odd color or shape grabs at her. But that does not rule out the possible significance of this night at near this time.
Bralin voices his thought on the possibility of witchcraft. The area is home to many and perhaps Medonious is counted among them. The Dwarf councils on returning to The Council
Lorth watches Desolute for a moment and returns to task at hand. Had they ever mentioned the name Medonious to the council. He tries to recall, and then succeeds. No they had only learned his name while just at the school. They were on their way back to the Council when all this transpired.
Malgant removes the ring and takes the packet and then searches for scrolls or something that might provide a clue to what was taking place that night. He finds three pieces of thin wire twisted gether. One of silver, one of iron and the third turns out to actually be a strand of Ivy's hair. Malgant locates it about Itzal's left wrist as if worn as a bracelet. It is quite obviously a material component to the ceremony. But the boy has nothing else of even remote interest. That done, the minotaur examines Ivy more thoroughly. Her state is that like a coma, magically induced, or perhaps medicinally induced.
Magical Detection did not reveal her to have any emanations and so the likely answer is the latter of the two. Either powerful magic or a well equipped lab would be needed. Without one, Malgant can narrow the possible range of drugs from 100's to about a dozen. But simply pumping more drugs into her system is likely a very bad idea.
Arminas Highlight to display spoiler: { His elven eyes easily guide him down the hill. His target's tracks still indicate a fleeing animal without rational thought. Only the survival instinct of flight. Blood lays about the ground, the man ran straight through a thicket of wild roses. The pace is starting to stagger. Several near misses and a plethora of small torn holes are beginning to accumulate. It will be over very soon, another indication of a fall, more blood. The tracks have shifted slightly. He still sprints, but one stride is off and Arminas has to pause. The man he is pursuing now runs down hill on a what is almost certainly a broken ankle. The fear driving him overriding his body's need to keep weight off of it.}
Any Friday November 9th, 2007 6:22:35 PM
Any relays the knowledge he recalls concerning the area around the altar.
"Perhaps it would be a better idea to hold off dispelling the magic around the altar. If it was meant to contain something, we might accidentally release it. Perhaps if we were to untwist the wire containing Lady Ivy's hair, it might in some way release her as well. Barring that, we should at the very least move her to somewhere away from the area intended for her sacrifice, or use in the whatever spell they were creating here."
Harvest Sunday November 11th, 2007 10:46:42 AM
The strange clouds that had come so swiftly to cover the moon upon the group's arrival now seem to have cleared the sky.
Looking up at the welcome faces of the Wold's two moons, Harvest carefully reviews the things that they had learned here on Wolf Hill. (Review posted below.)
"If this circle is as old as it appears to be from the evidence, Davros Sapphiredge," the brown girl replies to the wizard's question, "then I am not sure that you will be able to dispel the magic. Either way, I believe the time of the magic that Medonius and Itzal Jerse attempted to cast has now passed. I do not think that it can be the cause of harm any longer."
She takes from her magic bag her book of maps and her faithful everburning torch. Thrusting the end of the torch into the ground near the altar, Harvest seats herself upon the ground and flips to the page upon which is drawn Jarlwolf and Wolf Hill. Retrieving pen and ink, she begins to copy the symbol on the side of the altar onto the place upon the page that corresponds to this Circle of Power.
"Did you notice that the powers of Itzal Jerse appeared to increase as the time of this ritual approached?" The scratch of her pen ceases as she lifts the quill and blows gently upon the wet ink. "Or, perhaps that was only the appearance of things."
She closes the book and puts away her things.
"I think that Anthos and Bralin Stoneminder are right. Let us return to Jarlwolf where we can seek greater help for Ivy and contact the Pitchfork Council. They may know more of Madame Dulcet's disappearance."
The ruminations of Harvest Moon (a handy recap):
A Strong lingering aura of Conjuration magic has been detected upon the stone surface of the Altar. An as of yet Unidentified mark is inscribed on both sides of the altar. Four rocks about the size of a grown man's fist that bear this same mark written in coal have also been spaced about the area. The mark is also found on the trees in the area. Speculation is that this area might be a circle of summoning, like a Magical Protection Circle, but designed to hold something in rather than out.
Itzal carries a ring, which appears to bear the Jerse family crest and has faint Abjuration power. He also has a small packet of powder in his pocket of Strong abjuration and transmutation power. In the last moments of the fight, the boy had sought to strike with a strange substance. An oozing maroon and black looking viscous liquid. It seems to pulse and call out. Could this have been Woldsblood? Given this possibility, it may also be possible that Medonius and Itzal were involved in Witchcraft.
Three pieces of thin wire twisted together are found on Itzal's wrist. One of silver, one of iron and the third turns out to actually be a strand of Ivy's hair. Malgant locates it about Itzal's left wrist as if worn as a bracelet. It is quite obviously a material component to the ceremony.
Ivy remains in an unconscious state, magically induced, or perhaps medicinally. Magical Detection did not reveal her to have any emanations and so the likely answer is the latter of the two.

Arminas Highlight to display spoiler: {The chase is ended and in the manner the ranger was suspecting it would. Near the base of a sizable tree, he found the crumpled form of the man. Breathing, but sorely wounded he apparently had knocked himself out by running full tilt into the oak. Arminas figures he is about 3/4 of a mile from the top of the hill. Considering the three and half hour hike to the Summit of Wolf Hill from Jarlwolf, the extra distance is not that much. Doing it with an extra 180 pounds across one's shoulders though, would add to the effort though}
Any and Harvest have a short discussion about Ivy. The both think the lingering aura upon the alter is the afterglow of the ceremony started by Itzal. Casting a dispel would probably not do anything for her condition. Ivy jots down the pattern the stones make to the alter and the design, or marks really, upon the stones and alter itself. While watching her, Any notices the positioning of the stones to the alter correspond to the four compass points.
The group stands atop Wolf Hill. It has been an extremely long day and Jarlwolf is over 3 hours away.

"Friend Arminas is still upon the hunt. Last I saw him he was headed down the hill. If we go in that direction on our way back to Jarlwolf, it is possible we will run into him, or even be able to help in the capture of the fleeing man."
He goes to a copse of trees nearby and cuts a staff. Then taking his own staff from his pack, he makes a stretcher using his blanket. He lays down the blanket, then puts the two staffs down on it folding in the outside edges.
"Place Lady Ivy here, and we can carry her easier. If someone has another blanket, wew can do the same for Itzal, for we should at least return his body to his parents, no matter the consequences."
He cuts two more staffs for this purpose.
"If Arminas has captured his prey, perhaps we can discover from him the loaction of Mistress Dulcet.

"I will call a Mount, Anthos," she says. "There is also the body of the third man. He should be returned to Jarlwolf as well. Perhaps someone will recognize him. I suspect that he may have been another innocent swayed through dark powers."
Drawing a scroll from her haversack, Harvest holds her everburning torch high.

I think she has had a bad enough day without waking up draped over a horse full of dead bodies eh? Itzal had a ring with his family seal on it.that was magical, from its aura I suspect it is protective. And he had a packet of powder that may be the sedative that was used on Ivy. It too radiated magic." Malgant will produce these if anyone wishes to look at them. With the need for secrecy gone he carries his greatsword naked in his right hand and gently places Ivy over his left shoulder. Still not burdened he starts following Bralin back to town. Every 50 to 100 feet he is sure to drag one hoof so as to leave a clear path for Arminas should they miss him on the trip back.

Agreeing with his companions Lorth follows Malgant on his way back to town.
Malgant Tuesday November 13th, 2007 4:16:11 PM
Malgant was much more confident walking back to town than he had been walking out here. Two of their objectives were complete and none of them had been killed. Ivy was back among them and though unconscious was alive, and Itzal was not in a position to harm anyone at the moment. Malgant made sure that his armor and his huge form made plenty of sound as they headed back to town. If they happened upon Arminas, the last thing Malgant wanted to do was startle the ranger.
Any Tuesday November 13th, 2007 6:29:05 PM
Any helps to settle the bodies upon the mount summoned by Harvest.
"Perhaps some can go ahead with the bodies, while the rest search the area. Florin and Malgant can go with Bralin to town, while Davros and I wait here for Arminas and search the area. I will go first towards where Arminas was headed. Then with three of us, we can search before following."
Three little groups Tuesday November 13th, 2007 7:50:00 PM
The body of Itzal and the other man are laid across the back of a magically created Mount spell, compliments of Harvest. Malgant easily can carry Ivy in a far more dignified way, her body weight inconsequential to the powerful minotaur.
Harvest moves ahead, far ahead on her way back to Jarlwolf. Only a couple very small and faint lights seem to mark to the town in any way as she uproaches from uphill. There is likely not a soul awak at this time of the morning. harvest figures it will take her just over an hour to get there, about 2:30 in morning.
The rest of the group moves as well, plenty of time to discuss the missing Dulcet, what to tell Itzal's parents and what to do about the other dead man and a possible prisoner that Arminas may show up with.
Arminas, with the man over his shoulder is also on his way back. He will make it before the early rays of dawn break, he figures.
Any suggests that he and Davros stay and search the area for further clues if any are to be found and at the same time, stay to meet with Arminas. Assuming he comes back over the hill this direction.
The bard and wizard will need to strike up some light to conduct a search. rolls please.

Malgant Wednesday November 14th, 2007 4:56:52 PM
Malgant contines his walk to town. It has been a long day, and promises to be another long day when they arrive. He doubts they will get more than a few moments, maybe two o three hours at best to clean up, heal and rest before having to set out to the Jerse house. Knowing that several of the group have been magically exhausted does not help matters. Damn necromancers. Why do they always seem to make his life difficult? " Bralin, I doubt we will have long to rest. You and I may need to magically restore the vigor lost to these long hours and to the necromancy from the fight. Wounds will need healing as well. I pray Medonius does not return while we are thus depleted."
Bralin - Sub/Al Wednesday November 14th, 2007 8:47:42 PM
"Don't stay long," Bralin warns Davros and Any, before he turns to leave. "If anything remains, you'll be alone."
Then he forces his way through the brush, well aware that he's likely the slowest one in the group, and the one to whom the others would have to match their pace.
Jarlswolf 5am Wednesday November 14th, 2007 8:48:00 PM
Arminas comes over the rise with his prisoner. the man slung over the rangers shoulder will not be waking for some time. Ahead of him and just under a tree, is Any and Davros. The search of the area did not reveal much. The body of a bat was found about a throw from the alter to the east. It had been split open and the blood drained. Disturbing is the fact that there was no evidence of blood anywhere in the area at all. Whiskers hits the ground and imediately wants to be hoisted off of it. Davros feels an unbridled fear ripping through his familiar. Whiskers is terrified beyond speech. Davros quickly rescues him and Whiskers is very shortly himself again. That was highly unpleasant D he whispers to the mage. Let us not do that again, hmm?
The main group plads towards Jarlswolf. Malgant speaks to Bralin about the condition th group will very soon be in. Fatigue will take them all and that means, those suffering from fatigue at the hands of Necromantic magic will be exhausted. It also means that none of the spell casters will be able to prepare and replenish thier spells. Unless they waited a near a full day before heading to the Jerse home. If Medonius comes at them tomorrow...
Harvest arries at the stables to find sleeping horses in need of preparation. Waking the animals and getting them ready on her own will take some time, the better part of an hour she figures. It will save the group some time, perhaps an hour maybe more, but it will be a disruption to the animals.
Arminas, Davros and Any head towards Jarlswolf. the light of Malgants sword can be seen ahead and lower on the hill. Arminas estimates they are about 20 minutes behind the main group. Making up the distance is out of the question, but the destination is plain and nothing pursues or lies in wait.
The group hits jarlswolf with about an hour and a half before day break. The common room is open and clean. Slumped against a corner wall is the specialist from the Mailed Fist that Sgt Hammer left behind. His sword unsheathed and across his lap, his breastplate still on. The rest of the Common room is cleared and clean, the exits to teh kitchen the back rooms and upstairs undobtedly locked. Overhead a small squeak in the ceiling betrays that someone is awake and moving about, albeit quite slowly right now.
Arminas and the others arrive as well. The man over the rangers shoulders looks to have been beaten badly. His face is aswollen bruise, with minor lacerations and blood covering him nearly head to toe
Harvets let me know if you want to take the horses adn meet the party.
If so there is no sound above you when you arrive and it is about 2.5 hours before day break.

"I was afraid you had all left to return to town, and I would have to decide if I could carry him back myself, or just kill him. I suppose we should hear what he has to say though. Here, help me with him will you."
Arminas drops him to the ground and notices that Any has a stretcher planned. Placing him on the stretcher, he takes turns helping to carry him.
Arminas is even more pleased to see Harvest coming with the horses. He rubs Darkfire's neck, and thanks him for coming.
"Thanks dear Harvest, I was not looking forward to walking back to town carrying a prisoner. Perhaps Bralin's horse can carry the prisoner." As Arminas hoists him and ties him across the saddle. He then climbs upon Darkfire and starts to head back to Jarlwolf.

Bralin speaks of possibly circling Wolf Hill. A large undertaking indeed. Merely walking around the base would take almost 5 days.

"My Lady, I am yours with pleasure."
He makes himself comfortable, and is soon asleep as well.
Arminas Monday November 19th, 2007 9:36:17 AM
Arminas leads the horses to the stable, and takes the prisoner and puts him in a corner of the stable. He checks, to make sure he is still tied securly and is not in danger of dying. Then, he turns his attention to the horses and brushes them down. Finally, exhaustion ready to overtake him, Arminas sits in the corner of the stable and goes into a trance.
Bralin Monday November 19th, 2007 8:26:08 PM
Bralin tromps loudly up to the Mailed Fist man that was left behind, testing the man's reaction time. Should he wake, the dwarf looks over at Hammer.
"Mayhap he can stand guard for an hour?" he inquires. Its obvious no one else is in any condition to do so.
Trusting the good sargeant to explain the situation to his man, Bralin slides down onto the bench next to him and immediately starts snoring.
Breakfast Monday November 19th, 2007 8:41:01 PM
The group is quickly in various stages of sleeping. Bralin quickly tests the Mailed Fists man. He fails miserably and Sgt Hammer informs the man in very precise terms of his personal opinion of the private and the man's general lineage. Looking to Bralin, Hammer nods. "He can take a few hours into the morning good enough. Have a feeling the Common room will get mighty loud in a few hours when we can then retire to actual rooms if we want."
Arminas takes the prisoner to the stables and after giving him a check and then the horses, the ranger finds a comfortable corner. A deep trace is quite easy to obtain and sleep will likely follow soon after.
The morning hits and the common room is soon partially active with 2 women and a man setting up for the early morning. They attempt to be as quite as they can, but inevitably wake a few of the party members.

Florin is in the main Common room of the Inn of Friendly Shadows with the rest of the group. Arminas is the only person not here, he is in the stable with the trussled up prisoner
Harvest Monday November 19th, 2007 10:10:33 PM
Harvest Moon rolls into his chest, and in her sleep, she nibbles at one of the hard buttons of his doublet. Her eyes flutter at the soft stirrings, the light that breaches the best effort of the windows.
Morning has come.
Even more compelling, though, than the light, the noise, and the presense of people who go about their business, more compelling even than the duty to Ivy, to Madame Dulcet, to the dead boy Itzal Jerse, and to the people of Jarlwolf who live so near the mysterious circle, even more compelling than these things is voice of Alemi that calls through the purity and freshness of the wakening morn.
It is time to pray.

Malgant d8+5=13 Monday November 19th, 2007 11:43:53 PM
Awakening at around the same time as Harvest, Malgant too must pray. Stopping the woman before she goes about her dutiesand rituals, Malgant expends the last prayer he had held in reserve, healing her of the remaining damage she sustained last night. Malgant looks down at his armor, lying in a pile next to him and cannot bear to put it back on. lifting his sword he steps outside and goes through the rituals of the prayer dance. His mind is still fogged with the happenings last night and he still has many questions. The prayer dance does not make any of these questions clearer today, and this troubles the Taur slightly, but he chalks it up to how tired he is. When the prayers have finished, Malgant goes inside to see if the others have awakened yet.

Lorth wakes slowly. A few hours rest has done him some good. He slowly says his morning contemplations to Gargul, then removes his gear and begins to give it a good cleaning. Still tired he asks the inn keepers for coffee to help wake him up, hopefully he should be able to make it through the day.

Arminas Tuesday November 20th, 2007 1:24:08 PM
Awaking from his trance, Arminas stands and stretches. Daylight has come, and he has missed his chance to meditate for the day. Fingering an arrow, he smiles.
It is just as well, an arrow is always ready.
Walking over to the prisoner, he nudges him with his boot.
"Wake up! You live by my mercy, it is time to answer questions and earn your life."
It is good to be alone with a prisoner, paladins can be such a nuisance.
If the prisoner awakes, he asks: "Who hired you and for what purpose? What did they do to the girl? Answer now. If you know nothing you are of no worth, best for you that you are useful to me."
Bralin Tuesday November 20th, 2007 4:10:01 PM
Bralin's eyes flip open with the movement of the two women. The dwarf is instantly awake, a trait aquired during decades of field duty. He has not slept long, yet it must be enough. Many of his companions move outside to pray to their respective dieties. So many, in fact, that the dwarf decides he must not.
Instead, he approaches one of the women. "I must send a message to the priest of Domi," he says. "Do you know who can help me?"
Should he find a willing volunteer, he sends word for the priest to come to the inn. ------------------- Spells Prepared: (d) = Domain Spell 0 -Detect Magic, Light, Read Magic, Guidance 1- Command, Entropic Shield*, Magic Weapon, Magic Stone (d) 2- Lesser Restoration(x2)**, Identify (d)

The Inn of Freindly Shadows 7am Tuesday November 20th, 2007 9:05:06 PM
All in the Common room are soon, more or less awake and about. Coffee is ordered and very soon arrives. The exotic beverage may be expensive at 1sp per glass, but the taste and medicinal effects are a godsend.
Bralin speaks to one of the tavern women about dashing to the Domi temple for the cleric. The dwarf is certainly not looking his best and with the other still wounded warriors about and moving groggily around, it takes little to convince her that setting chairs about tables is not so important just now.
Davros cracks his spell book and uses his Pearl of Power. his mind though is not rested enough for study, the arcanic symbols and equations will not settle into place this morning. Without a full 8 hours of rest he simply will not be able to study.
Harvest and Malant exit the inn in search of a quiet place to pray where the soon waking citizens of Jarlswolf will not stumble upon them and disrupt thier prayers.

Harvest Tuesday November 20th, 2007 10:15:42 PM
Harvest Moon smiles, the light of morning touching her eyes, as she meets the great minotaur protector on the way back to the inn. Her wounds from the night before are now gone thanks to his ministrations.
Within the inn she looks about for Anthos. While waiting, she takes a cup of the dark liquid. The smell is appealing in a burnt and earthy fashion. One sip, however, and Harvest wrinkles her nose at the bitter taste. When none are watching, she abandons the steaming cup on an unoccupied table.
"When Anthos returns," she announces, "please tell him that I have gone to the house of Madame Dulcet. There I will inquire as to when she was last seen and where. It may not be much, but it will be a place for us to begin searching for her."

"I guess threats will do nothing at this point. Do you think you could go and get the wand of healing from Harvest? We need answers from him, and I would prefer to ask questions without the paladins oversight. They can be so ...... rigid in their views. I'll wait here and watch over him. Perhaps I will change his bandages as well."
Arminas bends over the man, and changes his bandages and attempts to restore his health.

Malgant Tuesday November 20th, 2007 10:59:03 PM
Malgant smiles at Harvest as they reenter the Inn. Coffee has been served and Malgant quietly gathers a large mugand drinks it slowly, savoring the warmth and wakening power. His prayers brought no solace this morning and he feels powerless without Domi's blessing to heal his companions. He will speak quietly to the priest, asking him to look to the groups ability to stand and fight as well as their health. If the priest is able Malgant knows several of his companions will likely need the revitalizing touch of Domi. Malgant steps to his armor, and begins to slowly strap it in place. He is tired and it would be a pleasure to not have to carry its weight. But the group made a powerful enemy last night. It is not clear that he is not returning and thus the armor is warranted. Looking about Malgant is sure he saw Any previosly this morning as he went out with Harvest to pray. Davros is sitting at the table stifling yawns as he pores over his spellbook. Where is Arminas? Turning to Davros, Malgant puts words to his worries. " Davros, you and Anthos stayed behind last night to search the ruins and wait for Arminas. Did he return? was he able to capture the man who ran off?"
Florin Jadenth Tuesday November 20th, 2007 11:14:56 PM
Florin tries to relax some but is still quite worried about Ivy and is still curious of what all she has went through since being taken. Florin for the moment doesn't wear his armor but does wear his sword belt and Glimmer. He knows that if the thing they fought was a ghost then they will end up needing more info before long before the thing comes back again.
Florin when he has time will of course go to check on Ivy and also see if there is anyway he can be of help to her family at this time.
Lorth Wednesday November 21st, 2007 7:54:49 AM
Lorth stays in the inn. He takes his time going over his gear to make sure it is clean and in good condition. He then puts everything away in an orderly fashion. Following this he waits to see if he can be of assistance to any of his friends.
Bralin (68/76 hp) Wednesday November 21st, 2007 9:51:36 AM
Bralin's armor is in severe need of service, but the dwarf's remaining wounds are minor and not visible to observers. He does not volunteer that he still has a few bumps and bruises.
Harvest announces that she will inquire after Dulcet. Bralin raises a hand to stop her for a moment, and closes on the priest, waving for the monk and Malgant to join the conference.
He fills the priest in with his usual subtle style.
"We encountered the boy Itzal and his protector Medonius at an old altar on the summit of Wolf Hill last night. The boy was in the midst of sacrificing the girl Ivy for reasons unknown. We fought. Itzal and one other were killed. We have captured a third man. Ivy is alive but we cannot wake her. Medonius may or may not be dispatched."
Bralin gives the poor man little time to absorb his news before moving on.
"We must revive our prisoner and determine the intent of Itzal's actions. We must find a way to revive Ivy. We must identify the dead man and inform his kin. We must inform the Jerze's. Both must be done by folk the kin trust. We must store or give over the bodies. We must find Dulcet or some other member of the Council to provide our group further guidance on how to best accomplish these things."
The dwarf removes his helm, looking the priest dead in the eyes. Bralin knows the man is in way over his head, but he is the only authority in the area. It cannot be helped. He bores on relentlessly.
"And in the absence of Council, we turn to you for that guidance."
Harvest (2nd Post) d8+1=5 d8+1=7 Wednesday November 21st, 2007 11:54:33 AM
Harvest Moon turns back from the doorway and attends at the tiny conclave of Bralin Stoneminder. As the dwarf recaps the night upon Wolf Hill, Harvest brings forth a wooden wand. With the wand's magic, she heals Bralin's remaining wounds, then she turns to the minotaur.
"Please take this wand, Protector Malgant," she says, holding out the wand in both hands. "Bralin Stoneminder once gave this unto to me, in anticipation of a time in which the greater need would be for him to fight rather than to heal. Now I pass it to you so that you may use it in times of need such as this."

"I have the power to heal this man of some of his wounds, without borrowing the wand from Harvest. Let's see if we can bring him around and get a few answers from him."
So saying, Any begins to sing lightly, and a glow appears around the wounds of the unconscious man. (cast CMW for 17HP healing--that should do the trick). He makes sure the mans bonds are tight in anticipation of his waking. When he wakes, Any asks,
"Who are you, and what have you done to Lady Ivy?"
Now he again tries to put on his best intimidating manner. (intimidate 11--I lost something in the process of healing :o)).
Arminas - 2nd post Wednesday November 21st, 2007 3:59:13 PM
Any brings the man around and starts to question him. Knowing that the man fled when he placed three arrows into his accomplice, Arminas takes an arrow from his quiver and checks its fletching and tip. He smiles at the man.
Jarlswolf early morning Wednesday November 21st, 2007 5:15:16 PM
In the Stables...
The man's major wounds all seem to vanish, he is still hurt, some scrapes and cuts, but definately awake and alive. His eye go a bit wide and he struggles to look about and get his bearings. Both Arminas and Any put the questions to him about Ivy, Dulcett and the sinister plans of Itzal of the previous night. The man is nervous, but speaks his name as Thrice Bentonmill of Magpie Crossing. Ivy is sedated by a powerful drug, created by Itzal from Giant bee venowm and wolfsbane. He knows of no antidote or even how the poison was actually crafted. "Sacrifice? Don't be absurd, I would never participate in such a thing. It was an initiation to the Coven of Waard's Light. then you showed up and destroyed it and then that...that whatever it was appeared." The man begins to shake as he recounts the appearence of Medonious to the battle. The spirit took Malphian Grass, he could see the life drain from his friend, replaced by a dark evil. He was somehow held in check from fleeing until Malphian died. "I found my will and could only think to run, run as fast as I could." Of the whereabouts of Dulcet, he knows nothing, including it would seem. Who she is.
Inside... Harvest uses a wand on Bralin and then hands it to Malgant for future use. Bralin all but makes the cleric pass out from information overload. It is quite clear as his eyes swim at what he is being told, that his years and prayes have not prepared him for anything of this magnitude. "Guidance in wha...what?" he sputters. "You seem to have it all quite laid out. Yes go with the blessing of Domi and Jarlswolf. Itzal should be returned home, as should the other dead man. I will intur them until such time as thier kin come. To the prisoner, I think I must ask his release to me and Jarlswolf." The man is starting to collet himself as he talks, "It would be unseeming for you to question him outside of the citizens control. The old Abbey has some lower cells."
Harvest heads to the Dulcet manor. She is met by a servant, "Madame Dulcett is not here."

Davros looks up as Malgant approaches. "Arminas did return with the man. Alive I believe. We got in right behind the rest of you. You must have just missed him. He's around here somewhere with the prisoner." Davros returns to his cup of coffee. He savors the taste, remembering it from his own school days.

Lorth Thursday November 22nd, 2007 11:45:59 AM
Lorth listens to the council of his friends, while packing up his gear. Awaiting Bralin's next move he tries to grab a quick bite to eat before leaving.
Any Thursday November 22nd, 2007 4:54:22 PM
Taking Arminas aside, any whispers,
"I believe him to be sincere. I think he is to disoriented to lie effectively. I have never heard of this potion used onLady Ivy, but let us take our awakened prisoner to the Inn, and see what the others make of his story ."
Turning back to the man he says,
"Untill we can verify what you have told us, we will keep you around. For now, let's go into the Inn to get some food, and there you can tell your story again to our friends and the local authorities. My friend her is an excellent archer, so please just go along quietly, and don't try to run."
He helps the man up and as he moves with him out of the stable, he pointedly moves as if to leave a clear range of fire for Arminas, a smile barely reaching his lips.
Florin Jadenth Thursday November 22nd, 2007 7:42:29 PM
Seeing that he is of little help to Ivy at the moment, something else comes to Florin's mind. He moves over to the priest once the others are done speaking to him and speaks gently to the priest, "Since you are here at the moment, may I ask for some guidance sir. My name is Florin Jadenth, a paladin in Domi's service." Florin takes a deep breath as he remembers the fight on Wolf Hill, "In my last battle, I did not know that the man I was fighting was under some undead or spirits control. He was innocent none the less and with the help of my sword he was killed." Florin looks to the priest as if he expects some type of judgement.
Arminas Thursday November 22nd, 2007 8:55:26 PM
"Yes, I sense that he speaks the truth. Yet it is my experience that prisoners hide some of the truth. We did, when we were taken prisoner by Parnoth. The dragon did not know who he dealt with."
Arminas winks at the prisoner.
"You will do as he says, and not try to escape. Our group has paladins, and they forbid me to kill an unarmed prisoner. Unless he is trying to escape, which is of course on my word when they are not here to witness. Who hired you, and what was your purpose on the hill? Answer quickly, lest I think you are fleeing and need to be stopped by an arrow."
Malgant Friday November 23rd, 2007 11:15:12 AM
Malgant takes the wand from Harvest with a nod of thanks. He has always lived by what he could do and not used wands, nor really had friends to need them. It was all an adjustment for him. He finds a seat and forces himself to eat some food. The coffee is helping, but still what he craves most is sleep. There are things that need to be done, sleep is not an option.

Bralin Saturday November 24th, 2007 12:24:16 PM
Bralin glances at Harvest and gives the monk a half-grin as she heals him, somehow knowing of his wounds. The girl is perceptive, without doubt.
He turns back to the overwhelmed priest. "You are doing well," he assures the man. "We will turn over the prisoners and the dead to your care."
The dwarf looks at Lorth and glances out toward the stables, a unspoken request.
Looking back to the priest, he asks, "Do any other members of the Council reside nearby? And are you aware of any tales regarding an altar on the Hill? Are there others who may have knowledge of such, and be willing to help us?
Florin Jadenth Sunday November 25th, 2007 8:26:22 PM
Florin waits for any guidance the priest of Domi might beable to offer him. As he waits he looks to Bralin who still is standing near enough to of heard his comments to the priest, Harvest most likely still standing close enough too. Florin feels he owes something for the death of the innocent man, rather the man was being used by the evil or not.
Lorth Monday November 26th, 2007 7:46:44 AM
Lorth heads out to the stables to retrieve the captive...
Jarlswolf 8am Monday November 26th, 2007 5:25:03 PM
Davros and Lorth sit quietly waiting for the others.
The cleric listens to Florin intently and is silent for a moment before speaking. "This sounds as if it is best discussed with your confessor. I take from you coming to me that you have none and strongly suggest you rectify that. I am not an adventuring man. I have known some, but at best they are strangers whose name I know. So I do not know of the special challenges faced by you in that regard. I have never killed anyone or been in a position where immediate death or real violence to myself or those I call family or friend has been an issue. But I am not so naive of the world either. In Battle you killed a man that you now believe to be a pawn of some evil spirit. I do not know what council to give on such a matter other than to reflect upon it. I do know using Hindsight by someone who was not there is not an especially good marker of the true path you strive to walk Florin. I will pray for you and suggest you council with those that know you best and that includes yourself. Domi teaches us of Courage and there are as many forms of courage as are stars in the sky. You try to walk a very difficult path, that of the paladin and that is far more treacherous than mine or anyone else's. "
Malgant takes the wand from Harvest with a nod of thanks.
Harvest then departs and quickly makes her way to the Dulcet Manor house.
Brlain states the prisoner and dead will be handed to the clerics care and the man nods. The Council with a gesture towards the door for someone to lead him to them. The dwarf looks at Lorth and glances out toward the stables, a unspoken request.
The cleric of Domi responds to Bralin, "None sir. As you know the council is a representation of the people of the Valley and as far as I know, those that sit upon it, live in their respective lands. As to knowledge of altars on the Hill I should none of the people of Jarlswolf know anything about such things.
Lorth is about to head out when Arminas, Any and the still tied prisoner enter the Common Room.
Others from Jarlswolf have also entered the Common Room and the fighting force arrayed about the right side with a bound and bloody man is attracting more than its fair share of looks a mumurs
the cleric makes move to leave, "Perhaps I should lead you to where that man caould be held and then you could assist me with transferring the other three to the the temple?"
At Dulcet Manor The man looks at Harvest and blinks a couple times as she finishes, "Yes. Thank you, I will see to it that Madame Dulcet is informed of your visit when she returns. Good day." The answer is nearly identical to what the man said yesterday. And he pushes the door closed.
Davros Monday November 26th, 2007 7:17:29 PM
"When Harvest returns, I think we should consider splitting up. We need much information and glancing at Ivy may not have much time to get it."
"We need to make a report to the Council, make a social call to the Jerse home, and find out what ails Ivy most important of all. There is also the matter of finding out more about the magic area on Wolf Hill."

Harvest Moon places her foot within the doorway before the door fully closes.
"Please, pardon my intrusion. I do not wish to make things difficult for you, but I have expressed the depth of our concern for Madame Dulcet. Might we ask for some small scraps more to allay our fears?"
The edge of irritation colors the small brown girl's voice, evidence, perhaps, of her lack of sleep.
"Might you say, for example, where to Madame Dulcet has gone? Or, perhaps, for how long she might be expected to be away? And may I ask your name, please?" (Sense Motive 24. If there is even a need for a sense motive in a situation as odd as this.)

The dwarf heads out to the stables to pick up one of the bodies, motions for his companions to do the same, and then follows the adept.
Arminas Monday November 26th, 2007 9:16:06 PM
Walking into the Inn with Any and the newly revived prisoner, he sees that Bralin is on his way out.
"Hold a moment, Any has healed this man of some of his wounds and in gratitude he has provided some information. He says his name is Thrice Bentonmill of Magpie Crossing. The drug that was given Ivy was created by Itzal from Giant bee venom and wolfsbane. I don't know of an antidote, but perhaps now that we know the poison we could research it. The ceremony that we halted was an initiation to the Coven of Waard's Light. Medonious' spirit took his friend Malphian Grass, he could see the life drain from his friend, replaced by a dark evil. This I believe sheds some light on the type of creature Medonius is. He has still not answered as to what his purpose was at the ceremony, or who hired him."
Arminas smiles at the man.
"He is very cooperative."
Florin Jadenth Monday November 26th, 2007 10:10:47 PM
Florin listens to those about him and thinks over the priest's words. After thinking it over abit he nods, "I will go to the temple too. While we seek to do what must be done, I can see if their is a priest there to speak too." Florin smiles, figuring there has to be one adventuring priest at the temple atleast, not including Ivy's father.
Any Monday November 26th, 2007 10:13:23 PM
Any brings the prisoner into the Inn, where he is asked to continue his escort duty to a place to hold this man. Looking around, he asks,
"Where is Harvest?"
He looks at the others as he asks this question, as they are moving bodies and prisoners to their respective destinations.
Malgant Monday November 26th, 2007 10:47:59 PM
Hearing Arminas' description of the drug used to render Ivy unconscious Malgant is slightly relived." If it it only a derived drug that does not kill when administered and is not still being administered then I would think that Ivy will regain her wits . I could not say how long that might take but if my fellow priest has any prayers for removing such toxins then that should awaken her." Malgant listens to the rest of Arminas' information with less enthusiasm. " So that man that cast the majority of the spells on the hill was merely a corporeal form Assumed by Medonius so that he might act? That would explain why he has not intervened in our pursuit of Itzal until now, he lacked the form to do so. We need to be SURE that all of us are protected from possession when we face him. I do not wish any of you to need to cut me down to stop those foul spells from being cast by my hand." Malgant was unable to hear what Florin had said to the priest, but now armed with Arminas' account of what happened and the priest of Domi's response Malgant has the gist of it. He says nothing and follows to help bear the bodies to the temple. He notes that Florin is casting about the other priests in the place for someone to talk to. The taur sighs after helping with the bodies and quietly asks one of the priests at the temple if he would bless some water for Malgant. The taur feels it may soon be needed.

Lorth Tuesday November 27th, 2007 8:27:27 AM
Lorth gathers his things and is ready to leave, when Arminas and the prisoner arrive.
After hearing the information about the ritual to Waard, Lorth says, "The god of thieves... So you and your compatriots kidnapped Ivy, and then drugged her to complete some kind of ritual to enter Waard's grace? Would that involve killing her? Then mid-ritual you are interrupted by Medonius? Seems your friend got what he deserved, a quick death." He then waits to see if the man clarifies his story at all.

Any Tuesday November 27th, 2007 6:11:24 PM
Any still does not see Harvest, and no one seems to know where she went. He tries to remember if she said where she was going, but he does not remember her saying anything before he went to the stables. The others do not seem concerned, so is not worried--yet.
He reviews the events of the battle, wondering what they could have done differently. Maybe it will come in handy if they must face this Medonius again.
Malgant Tuesday November 27th, 2007 8:59:53 PM
In response to Anthos' many questions about where Harvest is, Malgant recalls that she had asked them to tell him where she had gone." She said she was going to Madame Dulcet's house to again inquire about her whereabouts. Do you think she has been gone long enough for us to worry?"
Jarlswolf 8:30am Tuesday November 27th, 2007 9:09:05 PM
The door stops gently enough as Harvest's foot intercepts it. It seems to Harvest that her words don't seem to matter as the man reopens the door and looks back at her, though he does now stand to make entry impossible without going through him. "Madame is away, that is all the likes of you need know." An arrogance and edge of station coming to his voice. A tone she has heard before though now in a lower volume and delivered far more calmy than Itzal had ever used. He continues breifly, "I have matters to attend to now if you please." The man will again slowly shut the door.
As the group files out of the Inn of Friendly Shadows, Davros sums up the open issues still before them. Dulcet, informing the council, the Jerse home, Ivy and the magical circle on Wolf Hill.
Arminas gives a quick account of what the prisoner has said and it is not met well by all.
While Malgant surmises over Medonius and how possession could be thwarted, Lorth puts a different and not so innocent spin on the nights events.
Florin and Bralin each help with a body and Florin relays aloud his intention of speaking with another priest at the temple.
Any wonders to the location of Harvest, but as no one seems worried, he puts his own growing concern away. She's a big girl and can take care of herself. Unless Medonious shows up. Well then...Any crushes the absurd thought.
The bound man's eyes grow to saucer size as Lorth summarizes. "God of Thieves? No! Well yes but also Luck. Luck sir I say Luck and Fortune. Given the conclusion of tonight and the fact that the ritual was not finished I am pretty sure in where the good gods graces are not shining in THAT I tell you." His attempt at levity does little, even for his own mood. Looking mostly to Lorth, "Malphian and myself kidnapped no one. itzal told us he knew a girl who prayed to Waard and would be willing to help. Itzal is a good and trusted friend and so of course we were in. Ivy then met us when we had set up the Coven circle, drank Itzal's drink and laid down. There's no killing of anyone. The drink helps to relax you to unwind and let yourself go. Why she is still under I don't know. Maybe Itzal gave her a double? But Kill, kidnap. Not Itzal, he's a good friend, he'd never do that"
The group arrives at the Domi temple, the cleric leading explains that he is currently the only real priet here. That is why he answered the summons after all. Ivy's father is on a pilgrimage of sorts. The wedding is soon and so he has taken a small sabatical to prepare himself for that. "I expect him back in a few days. Whether he is at home meditating and fasting or on a true journey I could not say. I am not his superior and it would have been impolite to say the least to inquire." As to any others, "They past through now and again and right now it is between now and again when they would be here."
He does nod at the notion of trying to remove the poison from Ivy, "alas a spell that is beyond my power. Though our archive may hold a scroll I could employ. Take her to the back room towards the right and make her comfortable. I will send an acolyte to tend her while I go through our archives. It will take some time."
Sgt Hammer looks to the group, silently following until this point. "If you wish I and the Specialist will stand guard on her. Nothing will happen while I breathe to her."
Florin Jadenth Tuesday November 27th, 2007 9:10:07 PM
(OOC:Will be sending the CS shortly.)
Florin looks to Malgant, wondering if something is wrong, mainly wondering due to the looks as Florin is looking for a priest to speak to.
Moving over to his taur friend he gives the large guy a gentle pat to the back, "Something wrong Malgant? Seems like maybe you had something on your mind." Florin smiles, troubled at the idea that his blade helped kill a innocent, rather it was really hos fault or not.
Alemi, I beg your forgiveness for the acts that I am about to commit.
"Lives have been lost," Harvest Moon continues, her foot still within the doorway. "Lives may yet be lost. So I ask you to forgive me for what I am about to do in the knowledge that lives are at stake."
From supplication to sudden motion, the brown girl reaches up to grasp the hand that closes the door. As she draws both the hand as well as the arm attached to it out of the doorway, her body turns inward, pressing the door into the house and open, forcing the man's body to come around the swinging slab of wood. Her foot does naught but remain where it is, planted firmly within the doorway as she pivots around it. When the man comes around the swinging door, his legs find it there, an obstacle difficult to negotiate.
He falls to the ground, and Harvest follows with a sharp blow.
"Forgive me. Please," she says, even as she tips an ear to the interior of the house to catch the footfalls of anyone else who might wish to contest her entrance to the house.

Lorth Wednesday November 28th, 2007 7:38:25 AM
Lorth looks at the captive man, "Thank you for clearing that up, your story seems plausible. However I think you have misjudged Itzal."
He then turns to Florin, "Friend, do not fret over the life of that man, of course it is a tragedy, however there was no way you could of known he wasn't in league with Medonius. It is Medonius's and Itzal's fault using them as pawns. The blame rests there."
Arminas Wednesday November 28th, 2007 10:58:19 AM
Looking with shock at Thrice Bentonmill, Arminas says:
"You are telling us that Ivy showed up on her own accord and willingly took the drink! She was taken from her home by force, and flown to the hill in the clutches of some demon creature. You are not telling the truth, of that I am sure. Perhaps if you allow me, I will take him back to the stables for questions. I think he may be too comfortable here in the Inn."
Arminas looks about, with little hope he will be allowed to question the man.
"Florin, why do you feel so guilty about the death of a man when your goal was to save Ivy. You stated before that nothing would stop your efforts on her behalf, yet I have not heard you even speak her name. Have you forgotten her in your grief?"
Arminas then walks over to Ivy and and pulls a scroll from his pouch.
"I did not realize that Ivy was still under the effect of the poison, as I was hunting this man while you bore her away. I hope this helps."
Cast Neutralize Poison on Ivy from scroll.
Bralin Wednesday November 28th, 2007 4:35:26 PM
Bralin gives Arminas a doubtful look. "I vowed to turn over the prisoner to the priest," he notes. "We should do so." The dwarf shrugs. "Lorth speaks rightly, anyhow. Tis likely Itzal lied as to the purpose of the ceremony and willingness of the girl."
Sgt Hammer volunteers to watch over Ivy, and Bralin nods assent. Mayhap Arminas' scroll will bring Ivy to consciousness. Regardless, she will require a guard.
Davros and Malgant bring up good points, but the dwarf grimaces as he considers them.
"There is no council to report to," he responds in annoyance. "Dulcet is missing and no other members are within hailing distance. And I doubt the Jerze's will welcome us to search their home on the same night we have slain their son. And I have no knowledge to prevent possession by Medonius, should he be capable of doing so."
The dwarf looks at Any. He is floundering, and he knows it. "Our concerns are no longer tactical," he states to the bard. "They are political. I have not the knowledge to direct us. Have you any ideas?"
Malgant Wednesday November 28th, 2007 4:57:33 PM
( I was carrying her last night, I'll assume I am carrying Ivy now unless someone objests )
When Florin touches him to ask whether he is troubled Malgant turns to him, an odd look on his face. He pauses for a moment, trying to decide how best to say this, then plunges ahead. "What troubles me is the thing that troubles you. You were prepared to throw your paladinhood to the four winds last night in oeder to rescue Ivy, and now you mourn the loss of a man used as a pawn against her. The loss of his life is not trivial, and you do well to remember it. However, NEVER mourn for long the loss of someone who attempts to strike down you, your friends or your family. Hold to Domi's truths and stand by those you love as Domi would have done for Alemi. You were in that circle where I was too slow to be. You stood by this man, Thrice Bentonmill, and saw what he saw. He claims to have seen the light from his friend's eyes fade to be replaced by the cold calculating evil that is Medonius. I did not see this but from his words, his tone, and the abject terror in his voice as he recounts it I will tell you that I believe this portion of his tale is true. You do not see the hand of the Protector in your actions and that is why you question them. I will show it to you from where I stand. Killing him was necessary to protect yourself, your friends and Ivy, your wife to be. You served Domi as a Protector in that moment and should be solid in that fact in your faith. I doubt there would have been any hope of restoring the man to sanity. Offering a sacrifice to the mans loved ones would be a generous gesture and I am sure would set your soul at ease. Take a moment and speak with Domi. I stand sure that he will tell you the same thing I have."
Any Wednesday November 28th, 2007 6:45:43 PM
"Friend Bralin, I do not know if I have any council to give in this matter either. As you say, the boy's parents would not welcome us this night."
When he hears Malgants comments on where Harvest has gone, he gives an exasperated sigh,
"My friends, you know my lady as well as I do, some maybe better, and Bralin is all too often commenting on her propensity for action without waiting for others. Perhaps if we relieve ourselves of the burdens we are carrying, and then follow her to Mistress Dulcet's home, we can get some answers and direction there. At the very least, we will discover the cause of Harvest's longer absence, and perhaps more."
Jarlswolf 9:00 am d20+3=11 Wednesday November 28th, 2007 7:39:44 PM
Harvest, with the thought of forgiveness, needed moves quickly. The man is solidily built, but Harvest is well trained. Her move works without flaw and the man lies stunned on back. In the rest of the house, she hears nothing.
The Temple of Domi...... The cleric takes his leave as an acolyte arrives to point out where ivy might be put down.
Malgant confers with Florin and Bralin turns to Any. What now to do? Any suggests that Harvest might be moving forward on her own and might not see the entire picture as she does.
Thrice expounds on the nights events to Lorth and now it is Arminas's turn. he lays into the man with accusations of falsehood and veiled threats of being able to question him privately. Thrice Bentonmill of Magpie Crossing is clearly terrified of the thought of being alone with the ranger and looks towards Florin, Malgant, anyone and everyone with a holy symbol.
"You can't let him! I swear it. Itzal brought her up the hill and she she took the drink and quaffed it. I swear!"
Thinking over what he knows, Davros can draw no closer to an antidote than earlier. he would need a lab and reference work. Fortunately upon hearing the cleric of Domi speak of nuetralizing the poison by magic, it reminds the ranger of a scorll he possesses.
Arminas produces said scroll and the spell instantly brings a deep awakeing breath to Ivy.
Harvest Moon sighs inwardly. From some paths one may not retrace one's steps. This man must be made unconscious before she might search for signs of Madame Dulcet. The need for this is even more so if his mind is not his own as is possible from the actions of some of the men upon Wolf Hill last night.
The brown girl proceeds with her disagreeable task, and then looks up from it to once again ensure that no allies of this man are about. (Spot 22, Listen 18)

Florin looks to Arminas when he speaks the way he does and shrugs off some of it as he doesn't think the man is trying to make him mad or nothing, "I checked up on her earlier but having no way of helping her and her not responding to anything I could do, I waited for the group to checkup on things. I did not want to jump to quickly and try anything that could cause more harm then gain. I want her well, not in worse shape.,,An I promised to not kill inless needed. It might of been needed but I mourn a life that shouldn't of been taken, not to mention I did exactly what Medonius wanted by killing the man. Not to mention Malgant was right back then when I vowed...I would go to the ends of the Wold but Ivy wouldn't want a vengeful me..thats not what she would want." Florin no matter how hard he shrugs off what Arminas says does have some tears spring to his eyes, he couldn't help it as Florin cared very much for Ivy and that it seemed like someone might doubt that stung. Florin also lets this comment answer some of Malgant's comments too.
When Ivy begins to come around, Florin moves quickly over to her and kneels to look to her, speaking gently, "Ivy? Are you okay?" Florin watcher her carefully, having spent time with her he would surely notice anything out of the normal.
Florin doesn't know if the others will understand his thoughts and comments. Before he was angry, he was speaking with his anger...no his hate but he got his head straight when Malgan spoke to him and Bralin's comments about not killing and such. Then there was the fact that he did exactly what Medonius wanted.
(Just a comment. I think it was Mon when I returned from internet/phone problems. I think in that first post I commented on Florin going to check on Ivy. Didn't take no offense to Arminas's post either. Hope he knows that when he reads my post and isn't offended either. Little leary of conflicts in game as I don't want in game problems.)
Lorth Thursday November 29th, 2007 7:55:21 AM
Lorth smiles when Ivy awakes. He looks to her but Florin moves to her side and has everything in hand. "Bralin perhaps you and the rest should try to catch up with Harvest. I will wait here with Florin while he attends Ivy."
Arminas Thursday November 29th, 2007 11:25:22 AM
The scroll works, and Ivy comes back to life. Instantly, Florin is at her side.
"I see I was mistaken, Florin does deeply care for her. It has been a long night."
Then he turns back to Thrice Bentonmill.
"Well, now it seems like we may get Ivy's side of this story. Are you sure you don't want to alter a few details of your story? Perhaps since Lorth and Florin did not object, I may take you out where we can speak in private. People are many times shy, and do not like to speak to large audiences. Besides, you and I are bonded. I saved your life, I found you near dead and bound your wounds and carried you back here. No doubt you feel a sense of gratitude, a debt so to speak."
Any Thursday November 29th, 2007 7:39:16 PM
A sigh of relief passes his lips as Arminas' spell revives the drugged Ivy. Then he smiles as the ranger speaks further to the captive.
"Hold friend Arminas, I too have a claim on this man, as I cast the healing which revived him. Let us leave him to think on our tender mercies in his behalf, while we continue with our task of discovering what hasa happened here this night. Let us find Harvest and see what she has discovered. We will leave our friend here in the care of the chains of the local constable, and return to speak with him after he has had a chance to think on the sins of his life. It will also give us chance to allow Lady Ivy to recover, and Florin to speak with her to discover her side of this event. Armed with that knowledge, we will know the truth of this man's story, and what further questions we should ask him."
Gathering Arminas' arm in one hand he says,
"Come let us go find Harvest."
Arminas - 2nd post Thursday November 29th, 2007 7:45:29 PM
"No doubt he thinks of us both as brothers. Okay, I shall do as you suggest."
With a look into the eye of Thrice Bentonmill, he says as he is leaving:
"We will be back shortly, and then we can have that private ........ chat."
Davros Thursday November 29th, 2007 10:08:34 PM
"I am glad the scroll worked. I am not sure if my alchemy skills would have been up to the challenge. Ivy, how do you feel?"
Before Thrice Bentonmill is taken to a cell, Davros will check if he has any hidden spell components or magic. "We don't want you to try anything Thrice. No need to put any uneeded pressure upon the local law enforcement eh?"

Harvest renders the man unconscious rather quickly. Stunned is not helpless no Coup He does not call out, though Harvest knows he could have if he had wished. the task done in the span of 12 seconds, the monk casts eye and ear the the house about her. All is quiet adn there is nothing to be, what was that. A brief and small shadow of movement just through the foyer and into a small sitting room?
Harvest moves to investigate. Whatever it was, is hiding and quite small. Less so than any halfling and quiet good at it as well. The room is dark, save a low burning lamp on a floor stand behind an ornate cherrywood chair. Thick furs are draped across it for comfort and the right wall has a thick base relief decorated bookcase. A book lies open on a small table with a half glass of wine just to the right of the chair. The back wall is a great window with a thick forest gren and silver curtain pulled across and blocking the light. The fireplace in the left wall is unlit, the mantle contains a small collection of thimbles and knick knacks. upon the wooden floor are several other thick animal furs, likely bear and wolf.
The Temple of Domi..........
Florin is at Ivy in the smallest of moments. her eyes flutter and she sits up as Malgant eases her down. One hand moves to her eyes, a yawn is stifled and for all appearences she is waking from a deep and restful sleep. "Florin! How wonderful to see..." she stops midsentence as her mind cathces up to her surroundings. "Why am I not in my room?" her eyes and head moving around to take everything in.
Lorth suggests he and Florin stay here while the rest go to Harvest. A sentiment Any seconds and that Arminas consents to.
Thrice, for his part pales at Arminas's last words. After the ranger has departed he speaks again to the two paladins. "You travel with one such as that?"
Ivy's tale...... "I was in my room, the evening chores completed and now the second night of fathers departure. I was reading a psalm from fathers book, as I ususlly do when I heard singing outside the window. I looked and a man, a trubadour was playing the most beautiful song. I listened and at the conclusion he said you had arranged it Florin as a tokken while you were gone. he took a pidgeon from a cage with a note and said he had been directed to deliver it. I bade him welcome and he released the bird which flew to my sill. i took and read the note and bade him fare journey and then retired"
Her story pauses as a blank look comes to her eye. "Odd, I do not remember what it said. Nor do i remember putting out my lamp or finishing fathers psalm." Her eyes grow a bit fearful as her mind informs her of where she is and more exactly who is about her and thier physical condition. The air smells of smeat and dirt. She sits within an antechamber of the Temple of Domi, and Florin her betrothed is concerned, armed and tired. "What has happened?"
Florin Jadenth d20+3=18 d20+3=16 Thursday November 29th, 2007 11:05:29 PM
Florin listens to Ivy and when she speaks of his condition and the others who have stayed he gently places a hand on her shoulder and speaks to her, "From the sounds some magic was used on you, I would guess of Itzal's doing. I do not know the whole details of what happened at your house but during your from the sounds magical induced sleep there was a attack at your house and you were taken away. My friends and I went and saved you from what Itzal was planning to do with you."
Florin moves some and motions to the man the group caught, "Does he look familiar at all Ivy? He was among those that were with Itzal and he says you drank some type of potion willingly. I personally think you were charmed or some type of influence was at work."
Florin does his best to leave out alot of the more ugly details as he doesn't want to scare Ivy.

Arminas Friday November 30th, 2007 10:22:25 AM
Following along, Arminas looks about as people are busy getting about their day. Most it seem, know little of the troubles of the night. Probably for the best.
"Where did Harvest go that we seek her out? I suppose I should start sleeping in Inns instead of stables, though the horses are better company they provide little information."

"I am here for the protection of Madame Dulcet," she announces. "If you are of this house, you need have no fear of me and mine. I am sorry, but if you do not answer, I must necessarily consider you an interloper working toward the harm of those of this house."
From her haversack, the brown girl draws an everburning torch and raises it high.

Malgant frowns at Ivy's story. Great their bard has gone in search of Harvest and likely could have shed some light on what exactly the other bard had done to Ivy. Turning to Thrice Malgant regards the man and then adds to Lorth's statement. " Arminas is a good man, indeed. He is more at home in the wild than in a town so many mistake his instincts and manners for evil. He understands that some of the pack he travels with will not allow him to use violence on a helpless prisoner. So he does it when those members are not there or do not know he is doing it. From your tone, he has threatened you while the est of us were not present. I will not let him hurt you, but I will tell you something else. Whatever he threatened to do to you, he meant. If someone he cares about is threatened or harmed by your actions or by a lie that you tell him and he acts upon, he will likely carry out his threat befoe we can stop him."

Down a road he has yet to travel, a tall, handsome fellow with golden hair, curled up around his shoulders and painstakingly well cared for, rides his horse to a local inn for a night on the town. In an odd looking saddle that allows him to have both feet on the left side of the horse, he plays a ukelele in his hands, entertaining himself.
When I sing-a I like to swing-a Oh yes I swing-a, fighting battles in the spring-a Oh yes, I sing-a
My heavy flail is a friend of mine. Even with wine, I do just fine. I'm not arrogant, I'm just me, don't you think I'm great.......
Even in the summer time I like to sing-a Oh yes I sing-a
The music comes to a stop, as does the clopping of hooves. "Baxter, Matilda, what do we have here?", he asks his closest friends as he dismounts and ties his horse and donkey to the gate post on the road. He pats them both on the cheek and kisses them on the nose, "Now you wait here, I'll be right back, then my little babies will get their treat. Yes. Yes they will." He slowly approaches as he sees the man lying unconscious in the doorway of the house. Has he had a heart attack? Oh my stars, is his condition fatal?, the man in very fine riding clothes asks himself. Almost prancing, the rescuer wearing a chain shirt and bright yellow pants, moves at half speed toward the house. His red shirt, contours nicely along his large arms to accentuate their form. Silver and orange frills adorning the neck line and cuffs sway with his movement and the slight breeze in the air. He has a nice hat, that is both expensive and inappropriate for any rough bar full of orcs. A single hawk feather adorns the hat band, made of golden trim. The approaching figure staying aware of his surroundings walks up to the door of the house, looking for hearldry identifying the residence. He approches the unconscious form with caution. "Man servant, are you alright?"

Ivy shakes her head , "No Florin, he doesn't. The bard seemed much younger I would say, and leaner. Thrice seems a bit relieved at her proclamation of him NOT being the man Ivy saw below her window earlier that evening.
Lorth and then Florin and finally Malgant all speak to Thrice of Arminas. Iit is obvious the man is quite convinced that Arminas would just as soon slit his throat than listen to him or let him live.
Ivy seems to have completely regained herself. One of her first thoughts now, is to return home to tell the rest of her family that she is alright. Both paladins know the family is staying with some friends near the Dancing Lights, as the house was damaged severely in the attack.
Arminas, Bralin and Any all head towards Dulcet Manor, where Harvest had mentioned going
Inside the Manor... "Please declare yourself."...her voice does not echo as the sound is absorbed by the tapestries, curtains and furs. The everburning torch throws more light and shadow across the room as Harvest presents it. She can not see or hear any movement in the room. Harvest does hear the house itself, the wind moving across the surface, dull sounds from outside as the day begins in earnest. Also the sounds of a horse and cart, singing clear as well. Then a man's voice, "Baxter, Matilda, what do we have here?" "Now you wait here, I'll be right back, then my little babies will get their treat. Yes. Yes they will." "Man servant, are you alright?"
On the Doorstep Montgomery moves to the man. The bruise to his face and the split lip do not readily support a heart attack. Though if the man fell? Perhaps. A check shows him breathing, though he does not respond to the question. Inside and to the left, a side sitting room flickers with an orange flame. Nothing can be seen or heard beyond this.
To Dulcet Manor Bralin, Any and Arnimas spy ahead, a man dimount from his horse and move to the open doorway of Dulcet Manor. He stoops over at the threshold as if to carefully look at something, or perhaps someone. From here, just over 200' it is not possible to tell. The brightly dressed man, with armor donned and weapon sheathed looks to intend to enter the house.
Montgomery d20+7=8 d20+1=9 Monday December 3rd, 2007 1:03:31 PM
"Youhoooooo, is anybody home?" The brightly dressed man asks in the doorway. No signs of nobility present. He has a yellow handkerchief attached to his left sleeve with a sliver cuff link. Now suspicious, he tilts his wide brimmed hat back and dabs his forehead with the small, square yellow piece of cloth before stepping over the unconscious, breathing man. "I'm not a fellow to be trifled with, so come forth if present."

Harvest Monday December 3rd, 2007 2:19:47 PM
"Please remain outside."
The voice comes from deeper within the house and to the right, the high tenor of a boy, or the moderate alto of a girl.
"There is a thing within this house that means to do harm. Please, seek out the Swords of Light group at the Inn of Friendly Shadows. Tell them that there are ill deeds afoot at the home of Madame Dulcet."
"Tell them that Harvest Moon has sent you, and that she will attempt to hold it at bay until they arrive."
The brown girl quickly takes out a wooden wand, and from its store casts upon herself a protective spell. Then, replacing the wand, she steps back to increase the breadth of coverage for a different spell, this one of detection.
"Blessed Alemi reveal all magic within my sight."

Arminas Monday December 3rd, 2007 4:58:01 PM
Arminas smiles at Any's reply, and his bond to the bard grows deeper. Anyone who can see that animals provide good company is someone to be trusted.
"What of you Bralin, do you prefer the stable or the Inn?"
Looking ahead, he spys the man with his horse and donkey stopping at Madam Dulcet's house.
"You did not say, but I must assume that Harvest has gone to call upon Madam Dulcet yet again. That man looks to enter the house without invitation. Do you think Harvest is inside, and perhaps in danger?"
The troubles of the night are still fresh, and Arminas is on alert for anything unusual.
"Do you mind if we hurry along?"
Arminas says as he moves at double his normal stride (move rate 60, so as to let Bralin keep up at triple speed).
Bralin Monday December 3rd, 2007 5:12:39 PM
"Inn" the dwarf answers immediately. A foolish question. Inns have ale. Stables do not.
--
Seeing the brightly dressed man at the door of Dulcet House, and not seeing Harvest, Bralin nods to Arminas, and breaks into a sprint to keep up with the ranger.
His black platemail bangs loudly as he scrambles for the house.
"Do not jump to conclusions," he warns his two comrades, without much hope of being heard by either.
Malgant Monday December 3rd, 2007 5:32:32 PM
Malgant watches Thice to be sue he is not going anywhere. The man has said he does not intend to run but if Arminas has been threatening him he may try anything. Malgant hopes he has judged Arminas fairly. He would prefer to think that the ranger would show restraint unless provoked. However owing to the mans obvious concern Malgant tells him why Arminas may seem cold toward him. " You are not an animal, or a known friend to Arminas, thus he would probably not tend to treat you well. Arminas takes a bit of getting used to." Once things settle down in the Temple, Malgant quietly asks the priest if there might be holy water about or if he can in any way help the priest prepare some. If Medonius does turn out to be an undead spirit of some kind holy water may prove useful. It may even expel him from a body if he has taken it over. When Ivy voices her desire to let her family know she is well Malgant's defensive side kicks in. He does not want her going anywhere unescorted and would prefer that she stayed at the temple, since it is on consecrated land (isn't it?). Knowing that Florin has her best interests in mind as well Malgant will only voice this if the Paladin does not. If no one else speaks up Malgant will chime in that he would be proud to enlist Sergeant Hammer and the specialist as bodyguards and Malgant will augment their number to accompany them to the house and back since Hammer has been rather badly wounded this past night.
OOC in order of priority Protect Ivy first and get holy water second if I have to make a choice.
Davros Monday December 3rd, 2007 6:54:47 PM
Davros runs towards the house, following Bralin, Any and Arminas.
"Well", he says looking sideways at Bralin's clanking armor, at least we have surprise on our side."
"I also prefer an Inn. Who would want to sleep on a straw floor when a nice comfy bed is available? Whiskers prefers the rooms too. Less competition for crumbs from the barn rats."

As they close on the Mistress Dulcet's House, Any sees with the others the brightly clad man moving towards the door. Arminas and Bralin both break into a sprint, so Any follows suit, but taking Bralin's comments to heart, no weapons are drawn--yet. He calls to the man in yellow,
"Excuse me! Is there something wrong, or were you looking for the Mistress of this house?"

Thank you. With a listen of 9 inside the house, I'm not sure if he could hear a bull elephant trumpeting 200' away.
That would be a No 200' adds +20 to DC check so even a fairly large scale fight at DC -10 he would not have heard.

Florin Jadenth Tuesday December 4th, 2007 8:42:22 PM
Florin smiles and is trying to figure out how to approach everything as he still doesn't want to alarm Ivy too much, specially over the attack on her home, "I believe your family is staying with someone for awhile, let me see you too them." Florin smiles and looks to Malgant and Lorth before speaking to them, "I want to take Ivy to her parents. Lorth, would you mind if Malgant came along with me? We would be back shortly I think."
If it is decided on then Florin will go with Ivy and Malgant both, to take her home. If not then Florin will see Ivy home on his own, knowing her parents will be happy to have herh ome and safe.
Interlopers d20+10=30 Tuesday December 4th, 2007 9:03:03 PM
Harvest asks that whoever it is coming in to remain outside, there is danger within and she gives some instructions to go get help. She then casts a couple spells. The second spell of course reveal the precense of magic and very quickly informs harvest that her own items are not the only things generating an arua. The spell is then cancelled abruptly. A soft voice whispers out from ahead of her, likely in the vicinity of the chair. "Interpolers and thieves will find the House of Dulcett a formidable target. I do not know you or the people of which you just spoke. You will prove non malice against Dulcet by immediately leaving."
Davros, Bralin, Any and Arminas break to speed and hastily close the distance to the main door of Dulcet Manor. Lying in the doorway is man in plain clothes. He wears no armor and seems to have no weapon. Any calls out as they move, but the man stepping through the doorway does not seem to hear.
At The Domi Temple.... Sgt Hammer nods to Malgant, "Can do." Ivy looks to Malgant and then to Florin, "Stay? I can't stay, My family thinks I am abducted by foull creatures you say. I have to get to them to let them know I have been rescued. Before word gets to my father, or before my mother tries to mount a rescue. I HAVE to go." The young woman's eyes brim with tears and her voice falters as speaks.
Thrice is removed by two armed acolytes of Domi and taken to a different location. They explain there are some older quartes below that should suffice to hold an unarmed man for the time being. The first thing they do before leading him away, is to untie him.[/
Harvest Tuesday December 4th, 2007 9:41:43 PM
"Very well." Harvest Moon backs into the presence of the man with the cheery red shirt and the bright yellow pants. "I may have made a mistake," she says. "I am Harvest Moon. Let us withdraw."
Outside, she pulls the unconscious man to a sitting position.
"He said that Madame Dulcet was away," she explains when the others arrive. "He refused to say where she went or when she would be back and so I did not believe him."
Malgant Tuesday December 4th, 2007 10:14:43 PM
" Very well Ivy, I just had your safety in mind. Florin I would be happy to go with you. Do you wish Sergeant Hammer and the specialist to come as well or should they take some rest?" Malgant hears the way Florin is speaking and tries to copy the same' everything is alright' tone of voice. While he does not see any good that will be done by alarming Ivy, he generally thinks that good people act more safely when they know they might be in danger. "Lead on."
Lorth Wednesday December 5th, 2007 7:44:43 AM
Lorth nods to Florin, "I'll let the rest know where you all are going, so they won't be alarmed." He then stands up and heads towards Madam Dulcet's home.
Arminas Wednesday December 5th, 2007 11:25:47 AM
Arminas can see a man collapsed in the doorway as he closes on the house. He pulls an arrow as he runs toward the door.
Movement at the doorway.
His bow rises and quickly lowers. It is Harvest.
"I can see that you made a quick decision. Perhaps we should have you question the prisoner."
Peering through the door at the multi-coloered stranger.
"Who is that?"
Harvest (2nd Post) Wednesday December 5th, 2007 11:42:16 AM
"I do not know, Arminas Calaelen," replies Harvest Moon as she stoops to tend to the man who she has pummeled into unconsciousness. "But he has spoken of himself as a man with whom it would be unwise to trifle. He has not otherwise made aggressive gestures, but neither did he move to summon the Swords of Light as I asked."
"Perhaps he is confused. I can imagine that this would present itself as a confusing situation."
Montgomery Whitherspoon III Wednesday December 5th, 2007 12:57:28 PM
The strapping figure watches all occur without any words. He observes as others approach in a hurried manner and they seem to know each other. They speak of him as if a servant in the street to be ordered around, which is odd, since they appear a slovenly lot of riff raff, all bleeding all over themselves and a disgusting smell emanating off their sweaty and bloody, torn clothing and armor.
He raises his perfumed handkerchief up to his nose to stifle the smell.
Looking back into the house he says, "Now there, you also come forth and declare yourself a resident of these estates, or I will need to assume there were two interlopers present in the abode of Dulcet. Come, come please!" The please, said more out of habit then respect.
His manner, quite calm and relaxed. No weapons have yet to be drawn, but on his right hip, a short sword. His left a long sword. On his back, next to his haversack, is a Heavy Flail in it's sheath, ready to be drawn in a moments notice.
Bralin Wednesday December 5th, 2007 3:26:04 PM
Bralin looks heavenward, draws a long breath, and slooooowly exhales, dropping his head as he does so that by the end, he is looking down on the pummelled manservant. The dwarf shakes his head back and forth once, then twice, in total resignation.
"Mayhap," he replies levelly to Harvest, bending to help her in her new task, "this man is but a loyal servant, unwilling to allow total strangers inside or to run off and leave the home unguarded."
He looks up at the stranger in brightly colored garb. "I am Bralin Stoneminder," he informs the man. "My companions and I seek to right a grievous wrong. We know the woman of this house, Dulcet is missing. We ALSO know," he growls as his gaze switches back to Harvest, "that she is a powerful witch, and unlikely to leave her home unguarded. Caution is required."
Harvest (3rd Post) Wednesday December 5th, 2007 3:46:13 PM
"She has always welcomed us into her home!" Harvest turns upon the dwarf, her eyes flash with an unaccustomed anger. "We have come before. She has come to us for help. We are known. Where has this surly man come from that we have never seen before. I explained our concern for the welfare of Madame Dulcet to him and he replied with evasion. How can one of good conscience not seek to allay our worries?"
Arminas - 2nd post Wednesday December 5th, 2007 4:12:00 PM
Arminas remains calm, as Bralin berates Harvest and she replies in anger.
"Ah, the dilemma that oftens haunts me. Harvest acted quickly because she thought she must. Her instincts have always been good, and she has done no permanant harm to this man. I say let us follow this through, and offer apologies later if needed."
Arminas steps through the doorway and up to the man inside.
"Who are you, and to whom do you speak?"

"Harvest is everything ok? Is Madam Dulcet present?"

Florin Jadenth Wednesday December 5th, 2007 9:58:12 PM
Florin nods to Lorth and then gently takes Ivy's arm in his own, "Let us go then Ivy. My friend Malgant is just worried about your safty, as he said."
With this Florin will lead the way in taking Ivy to her parents. As he goes he tries to change the subject as to lighten the mood, "I hope this won't influence the wedding to much. Will give us something to tell later though. I still have to see if there is anything I can do to give you and your family a hand. I think my friend Malgant is looking forward to marrying us also. Will be a nice change from the normal life everyone has been having."

Though I have fought and healed and buried many a fellow soldier and friend, I have not yet joined one with their soulmate. It will be a new experience and as such is a little scary. Because I have no training in it or basis for comparison mostly. I am sure it will be a pleasant change." The Taur smiles at the pair of friends. "Have you decided where the ceremony will be held yet?" As he walks with them Malgant scans the countryside. He is at ease, but still vigilant.

Any d8=1 d8=6 Wednesday December 5th, 2007 10:16:00 PM She is okay
Any relaxes as Harvest comes into view.
"I believe that the others have the right of this. Mistress Dulcet may have many servants we have not met, or even a change of servants. Perhaps her normal servants are with her--where ever she is--and this unfortunate victim of our good intentions is one hired to watch her estate while she is gone. I don't believe we can assume that she too was taken by force without further witnesses and proof. I'm afraid my love that you may owe an apology to this man."
He represses a laugh with difficulty, then turns his attention to the brightly dressed stranger.
"Perhaps now is not the best time for introductions--at least untill we settle the matter of any danger still remaining here within this house. For now accept my name at least. I am Anthos Westar, and these with me are those known as the Sword's of Light. I think if we revive the manservant here, tend to his wounds, and perhaps even provide recompense for his troubles, then leave this house for now, we will not have any further troubles. Then we might adjourn to someplace more amenable to introductions."
Any puts his words into action by taking some water from his pack, and a small cloth, and begins to wipe the face of the servant in an effort to revive him. when he begins to come around, he draws from his pouch a small vial, and gets the man to drink it. (potion of cure light wounds--restores 6 hp).
Lorth Thursday December 6th, 2007 7:15:04 AM

The Fog Thursday December 6th, 2007 10:43:42 AM
Harvest moves out of the house and the rest are gathering at the Doorway. A brief discussion occurs on the merit s of acting quickly. Harvest quickly explains her view and of the events that occurred inside.
The stranger calls into the house after an appraising eye casts over the party. There is no response.
Bralin introduces himself to the stranger and gives the gist of what is going on. The dwarf also reminds the group that Dulcet is a known witch of no small skill. Moving through her house could be dangerous.
Davros, introduces himself as well and the adventuring group on a whole Any kneels down and , explaining himself an administers a healing potion to the man.
Lorth arrives to the group as Any's patient revives. His eyes pop open and he sits up. "Oddest thing" looking at Harvest he cocks his head slightly sideways, "Moon?" he inquires. "Harvest Moon? I know you girl, and...did you just hit me?" Like a man waking from a deep sleep and still not fully, he looks at the group slowly identifying each of you. "What..." he begins and then stops. "It is like a cloud or fog."
"No...." he breathes, " Not like, it was a fog bank. It rolled in from nowhere. Madame Dulcet, what happened? Damn my addled brain and this confusion." He literally hits himself in the temple at this point. "She is gone isn't she? What about Reaper? It was her cat.
Malgant and Florin escort Ivy, with Sgt Hammer and the Specialist to the house where Ivy's family is temporarily staying. The reunion is emotional and the four are invited inside for some refreshments. As Sgt Hammer declines for himself and his man, the woman accepts his words with a hand to his elbow that begins to guide him in anyways. The invitation continues altering in the drink or food only, "Then you can have a tea." No thank you maam." Of course, I'll get you some milk." "No need maam." Ahh sit here and I'll be back with a glass of red." It continues until the Sgt caves in. Floring and Malgant are likewise entreated his hospitality.

Montgomery, still silent, appraises the man that regained consciousness and his befuddled mind staggers like a loose girl on a weekend night. This begins to worry him. Answering them all, after they introduce themselves, he says in a very polite, if not kind manner, "Charmed, I'm sure."
Looking back into the house, the stranger continues to speak with the voice unseen. "So be it", he says in a calm voice. "It appears there is more here causing trouble then a young lady pummeling old men, and since you care not to join us, I would say, you are the involved." He points to the others gathered around the man and motions them to surround the house, so that nothing can leave through a window or back door, then turns back to the house. He takes a step into the door way and retraces the steps Harvest Moon followed out from the room she had been in, since he knows that is safe. "So, you must be in league with those that gave these people quite the wardrobe, in which they appear. Shameful!"
Once in the room Harvest once occupied with the voice, he looks throughly around the room. "Yoo-hoo, last chance to declare yourself and you will not be harmed, on the Whitherspoon family name, pray, attend these words."

"Right or wrong, you are correct Anthos," Harvest draws close to the bard. "I owe him an apology none the less."
"I am very sorry for striking you," Harvest Moon apologizes to the man as she helps him to his feet. "We are concerned about Madame Dulcet's welfare. Please tell us more about this Fog. It is possible that Madame Dulcet has been taken and is in danger.
"The voice that I heard came from near the chair in the sitting room," she calls after Arminas Calaelen and the man who had introduced himself as Montgomery Whitherspoon the Third. In her mind, the brown girl reviews the voice and wonders if such a voice might come from a cat. "The voice could belong to the cat, Arminas Calaelen," she whispers. "It sounded very determined to protect the home."
Bralin Thursday December 6th, 2007 4:26:04 PM
"My apologies, Harvest," Bralin remarks without rancor. "It appears you were correct in your assessment."
The dwarf turns to the servant. "Dulcet is missing. We wish to search the home for clues to her whereabouts. Are there any defensive magics we should be aware of before we enter?"
