Friend Or Foe Sunday February 10th, 2008 9:05:02 AM
As the chosen decide what to do coming from the northern A plain looking minotaur appears from the opening to the north, with no obvious signs of armor or weapons, but carrying a pack. His scans the group, then the constructs, as his pack hits the floor. Smiling he turns to the nearest construct and moves deftly and quickly to it and engages. Those near hear an obvious sound of laughter from him as he moves to attacks.
OOC Welcome Tim Post me some attack rolls on Monday thanks Jon
Zeoll AC17, HP46 (Invisible, Inspired, Heroism) and Wolfie AC14, HP45 (Inspired) d20+14=23 d8+11=13 d20+11=18 Sunday February 10th, 2008 11:11:46 AM
Zeoll looks at the newcomer. A monk, most likely, and maybe a Hand, he thinks. Who else would be so glad to fight with no armor or weapons?
[The new Taur is attacking monster D, right?]
Zeoll knows that his wolf will only be around for another four rounds, so since battle has been joined, it is time for the canine to get into the attack. He motions to the Dire Wolf to attack monster A.
Wolfie charges.
[OOC: If the monsters are bipedal, they may have a 10 ft reach, and they might get an attack on Wolfie as he comes close. If so, his AC is actually 12 because he is charging.]
He hits AC23 for 13 damage (inspired included). And he gets a free trip attack. His trip roll is an 18, so he trips the monster if its trip DC is 18 or less.
As for Zeoll, the liontaur decides to continue his song so that the newcomer will be inspired too.

**Attack and Damage rolls include the Inspired bonus from Zeoll**
Smiling, knowing this is where He wants me to be. Knowing He has a plan for me. And am glad to have trained as hard as I have to please Him, I unwaiveringly and without hesitation do His will by helping these brave and loyal believers to rid the world of these vile creatures. I move to the closest creature (D) quickly.
I greet the beast in a song my teacher taught me and smiling, I kick the construct's right leg to gain it's attention. *hit ac27 for 19 dam*
As it turns to face his new threat I give him a strong uppercut, causing his head to snap upwards. *hit ac31, crit threat, followed with a 29, for 34 dam* (should these things be unaffected by crits, I only do 16 dam)
Then I smash him with my right elbow against his left shoulder. *hit ac 22 for 17 dam*
Brahmah Monday February 11th, 2008 3:12:37 PM This was TOO suspicious. A taur, here, in front of us. We've had this ploy used before. Be cautious. Thinks the ranger.
The huge dark, apparently middle aged, minotaur moves toward 'A', falchion and kukri drawn. His armor shirt glistens in the pale light given off by Flat-top's light spell. His MANY tattoos and scars are thrown into sharp relief, his missing tail and left ear are conspicuous only by their absence. The black bear is on his heal, ready to do some damage to these meat bags.
Gecktar Monday February 11th, 2008 5:09:45 PM
Gecktar takes his hammer with his two hands and moves toward the same construct as Brahmah staying by his side.

Zeoll sends his Wolf into attack the Creature A as the wolf enters combat its slammed ( 19 HP damage) but manages to bite the creature tearing at it legs and trying to trip the large creature but it can't over power the larger opponent Zeoll continues to sing to inspire his friends
The new minotaur enters combat the creature D take note of him as he starts kicking it, Then the Minotaur goes into a series of hand to hand strike causing the creature much damage taring large hole in the sewn skin and leaving a flap hanging off its face
Brahmah move into attack the creatures taking fist in doing so (HP damage 13)
Gecktar follows his captain into position
WinterGlade holds his attack unsure of what to do..
The creatures A strike back first at the wolf attacking it takes to massive punches ( hp 15, 16) that with the damage before kills the creature breaking the summon and sends it back to were is came from
Creature B steps forward and strikes at Gecktar with heavy fist (Using my last know CS for AC correct if I am wrong AC 22) the blow causes on minimal damage HP 9 your armors however has a large dent
Creature C turns and moves using is reach to attack the new Kid Buhll its first swing is wide
Creature D Smashs into the Monk with both fists Damage 16, 8 = 24)
Oddly enough no one misses flat-top until now, as his presence is not in combat but when he disappeared you are unsure.
Creature A light damage Creature B untouched Creature C Untouched Ceature D heavy Damage
OOC sorry about the post being late as well as a bit messed up I am a bit short on time again this week as Kristel is still sick and I am working a long few days both at home and at work

Staying with his first charge, but watching the second beast Buhll continues with his dance of death.
Now squared off with the broken creature, Buhll does a double jab at center mass, *hitting ac 24 and 30 for 20 and 21 points of damage respectfully*. Then using the flat of his hoof, he raises it up and then slams it hard against the inside of his opponents left thigh, *hitting ac 24 for 21 points of damage*.
Upon each successful strike, his smile widens and his song grows in tempo.
Winterglade AC27 HP 70(70) Wednesday February 13th, 2008 4:19:39 AM
[Was it me you were waiting for? Sorry! I posted on Saturday and never realized your Sunday post was a combat post. Looked to me more like an introduction of a new player, especially since it didn't say anything about actions of the golems.] DM with was both realy as he started the battle
"...On the other hand, why don't we recklessly charge in screaming for blood. Oh, you already did. What surprise." The centaur sighs. "Just like children. Show them an undead or an evil head and they can't help but try to whack it."
The unknown minotaur that seems to be doing a workout here is another strange sight. As Winterglade starts to follow behind Brahmah and Gecktar he asks: "Mind you, is this a private party or can anyone join?"
Ending up behind Brahmah the centaur puts a hand on his shoulder and Enlarges him [with the wolf gone there seems to be enough space for an enlarged Brahmah and Gecktar to hold the front together - if that is not the case please ignore spellcasting action].
Brahmah-13hps d20+7=27 d20+14=25 d20+13=31 d20+13=30 d20+8=11 d20+9=26 2d4(2+1)+7=10 d6+4=6 d6+4=8 d6+4=5 Wednesday February 13th, 2008 3:08:04 PM
OOC: I don't think I implied that I was moving in to attack range, just toward 'A', or else Brahmah would have charged.
(Will save vs Enlarge, nat 20 for 27, saves) Feeling the Enlarge surge up, Brahmah isn't willing to grow in these tight of quarters, nor is he happy to have his defenses compromised when there is a stranger around.
Brahmah attacks the flesh-being. [assuming these are constructs but rolling for crits anyway] DM for simplicity sake yes they are constructs (Inspired, Hits AC 26, 32(threat 31), 12 and 27 for 11, 7(16 if crit), miss, 6 and miss damage)
Gecktar d20+9=28 d20+4=9 2d6(2+6)+20=28 Wednesday February 13th, 2008 3:24:11 PM
Gecktar accepts the fight with the construct and taking his hammer with his two hands lands a powerful blow in the chest of the construct (A)
Attack (with power attack -5) hit AC28 damage 28 (adamantite)
The second blow he intend to give to the creature don't even make it sneeze.
The liontaur is worried about the new guy. He's getting pounded.
Zeoll moves up, to about ten feet behind the new guy (move action). Then he casts Heroism on Buhll -- +2 on attacks, saves, skill checks. Lasts 50 minutes.

Retreat???????????????? Tuesday February 19th, 2008 8:47:59 AM
Buhll continuing his dance of death manages to strike his target for a total of 61 points of damage.
Winterglade seems kind of upset that everyone has once again charged headlong into a battle and he sighs and says . "Just like children. Show them an undead or an evil head and they can't help but try to whack it." Coming up behind Brahmah he casts enlarge on his friend but Brahmah conscious of the tight quarters thanks Glade but refuses the offer of enlarge.
Brahmah attacks creature A for a total of 18 points of damage.
Gecktar also attacks creature A for 28hp of damage, his second blow completely missing the creature altogether.
Zeoll moves up behind Buhll and casts heroism on the new guy.
Brahmah questions who the new guy is and Glade replies that "He's a guy beating the stuffing out of necromantic constructs. For Winterglade that's good enough as far as introductions are concerned, at least for now."
Zeoll does not seemed concerned about this new taur as he has a good intuition about him considering the fact he is tearing apart their enemy.
Gecktar gawks at the amazing moves of this new taur.
Buhll conscious of the others staring at him gives them all a smile and a wink to which Brahmah responds "Who you winkin' at buddy?!"
The creatures back off a little instead of attacking and soon you see why. Another one starts to come up out of the smelly, disgusting, nasty water. Now they are 5 though two seem to have been significantly weakened by the blows they have received. The fifth creature seems a little smaller than the others, perhaps making it easier to defeat? Now that their companion has arrived the creatures are ready to resume their attack.

Not phased in the least by the arrival of a 5th construct, Buhll continues tearing in to his opponent.
Starting with a well placed kick in between the legs, hitting ac25 for 15. Then doing a roundhouse to the creatures head, hitting ac27 for 15 and following that up with a quick jab to center mass, hitting ac24 for 18.
Zeoll hears this coming from Buhll: (from the halls of our great Domi, to the shores of Oeax Sea. We will fight our father's battles, on land in air and sea. The rest is drowned out by the sound of him connecting to the beast.) - **IE halls of montezuma music**

"Some unity we are showing!"
Then his instincts of a healer take over. Running over the surface of the sewage (but away from the fifth creature) he approaches Zeoll and Buhll and touches minotaur's shoulder closing his wounds [spontaneously casting CMW over Silence, Bhull is healed of 22 damage].
Zeoll Wednesday February 20th, 2008 10:48:13 AM

"...is FAR too happy in combat to be normal! If Domi is sending us nutters, there MUST BE A SHORTAGE OF HEROES!! Coincidence!? I think not! We're growing far too trusting. I can't believe the lessons of the Doctor's Island have been so quickly forgotten. If he is Chosen, then he will find us again!" He throws his arms up in frustration.

Winterglade moves over to Buhll and give him some healing.
Zeoll uses his talents to again sing and add inspire courage to his companions.
Brahmah and Gecktar both attack creature A and as its limbs are hacked off it also slumps to the ground dying.
All the creatures are now dead and all you are left with is the smelly waters and 5 lumps of what used to be flesh golems. Now that the fight is over perhaps it is time to make introductions.
Winterglade Friday February 29th, 2008 6:49:42 AM
"Eww! He splashed some on W- me before he went under!"
Winterglade blinks. Everything happened so fast. "Anybody still injured? And who in the blazes are you?" - he asks Bhull.
Zeoll Friday February 29th, 2008 1:29:44 PM
Zeoll goes visible.
"Welcome Strrangerr!" he calls out. "I am Zeoll, and we arre those Taurrs Chosen by Domi (also called Tomi and Imod) to heal the rrifts that have sunderred ourr thrree rraces."
Brahmah Friday February 29th, 2008 1:41:02 PM
The minotaur stands back, waiting for the rest of the Chosen to finish introducing themselves to the stranger. He is vigilant, looking toward the rear of the tunnel every so often. The rangers blades poised and ready and seemingly unconcerned with the pugalist in front of him.
Gecktar Friday February 29th, 2008 3:42:15 PM
Gecktar looks at the newcommer.
"My name is Gecktar, follower and servantof Domi. Who are you noble warrior, and what leads your path here ? "
Buhll Friday February 29th, 2008 6:30:43 PM
I am Buhll. Sent here by Him. I have trained to serve Him. And now He has deemed that I am ready to prove my worth to Him by assisting those who serve Him.
I was in my room at the monestery, sleeping when I had a dream of you all. And in my sleep I woke up to Him saying: go, help these believers. Assist them in the ways I have trained you.
When I truly woke up, I was in here, just around the corner there. (points to the north passage) to the sound of you entering from the south and these beasts moving. So, I did as He commanded, and assisted you. And will continue to do so should you accept me.
What now Friday February 29th, 2008 11:41:19 PM Winterglade comments on the filth that is sprayed on him and questions who the newcomer is.
Zeoll seems to appear out of nothingness and greats the newcomer explaining a bit about who he and his companions are.
Brahmah is somewhat hesitant about introducing himself and waits until the rest of his companions have done so. Highlight to display spoiler: {as he glances towards the rear of the tunnel he notices some heavy prints that appear to be hoof prints, they have been made sometime within the last few days it appears, there appears to be more than one set of prints}
Gecktar also introduces himself and questions who this stranger is.
Buhll explains who he is and how he got there. He says I am Buhll. Sent here by Him. I have trained to serve Him. And now He has deemed that I am ready to prove my worth to Him by assisting those who serve Him. I was in my room at the monestery, sleeping when I had a dream of you all. Winterglade Saturday March 1st, 2008 1:07:54 AM
"Call me Goodbarrel."
The centaur rises his hand and touches a silver, anvil-shaped amulet hanging on his chest [casting Detect Evil and doing a scan on Bhull].
"A monastery, you say? Brawler sent you directly to help us?" Turning to the rest of the group he asks: "Has this ever happened before?"
"Tell you what, why don't we move along as we converse before we catch every disease this fine city has to offer?"
(Winterglade is rather lean and stringy for a centaur, with an unremarkable face and a well-groomed, short white mane. He looks young, but travel-worn. Heavy plate armor can be seen under his cloak and a huge shield is at his side. Aside from a small dagger he carries no visible weapons).
Brahmah d20+19=30 Saturday March 1st, 2008 4:46:19 AM
He moves over to the tracks, ignoring the goings-on around him. He looks at the tracks.
(Survival 30, 34 if tracking centaur)
Zeoll Monday March 3rd, 2008 11:01:58 AM
Zeoll explains that the Chosen are trying to find the camp of a fellow named Jacktar. They hope to help him overthrow the evil and corrupt Captain of the Guard who has taken over the town (Fort Stag IIRC?) here on Centaur Island.
The path to the south is not the right way. Let's try another.
Winterglade Monday March 3rd, 2008 11:30:53 AM
"Let's try North, yes?"
Gecktar Monday March 3rd, 2008 4:29:05 PM "You are welcome among us Buhll, but you should know that following the Chosen or even becoming a Chosen is a very risky job."
Turning to Winterglade
"Well Goodbarrel, let's try north"
Brahmah Monday March 3rd, 2008 4:39:33 PM
"There are tracks here I'd rather check out first."
Tracks Monday March 3rd, 2008 10:27:19 PM
As the chosen continue to introduce them selfs the new comer is silent taking in the faces and information provided by the Chosen nodding in response to Goodbarrels questions.
Gecktar and Goodbarrel want to head north will Zeoll explain there current situation
Meanwhile Brahmah follows the track in the muck they come from the souther tunnel entrance. They seam to come out of the muck and head up around the tunnel and to the north there seam to be several track over lapping each other. It is hard to tell how many separate track there are as most are smudged and or washed away in a few places. You can tell however that a small army may have come though, that or the same creatures over and over again.
Winterglade Tuesday March 4th, 2008 3:47:22 AM
The centaur waits until the examination of tracks is over. One thing only is on his mind: out, out of this stinking, dirty, confined space and into fresh air again. It's not been that long since the descent but he already gets a feeling that he is suffocating. "Brawler's Fists, even boats are better than this!"
DM Note Tuesday March 4th, 2008 7:42:32 AM I some how missed this in my post earlier but I was to give you some Exp rewards for the last little while, so please lvl up you Chosen to there next lvl and send me a update, JON
Brahmah Tuesday March 4th, 2008 10:05:33 AM
"Hey, there seems to be a ton of activity here in the past couple of days. Not from constructs either. A small army of somethings."
Brahmah pauses in the tunnel to 'level up'.
(OOC: I'm not sure Brahmah has made enough to level. He needs about 3000xp. I doubt he has leveled, I won't waste time leveling until true xp is handed out. Sorry, I'm feeling under the weather. I got my first tooth crown yesterday (I was under nitrous for nearly 2 hours)and have been fighting this flu-like crud going around at the same time. Needless to say, I've been sleeping most of the past two days.)
Gecktar Tuesday March 4th, 2008 3:40:47 PM "Really ? he says to Brahmah. "If a small army walked that way, either they are those we are looking for or maybe some mercenaries hired by the captain of the guard to eradicate the threat of rebellion"
"We should hurry and follow the tracks"

DM Tuesday March 4th, 2008 7:05:46 PM
From what we understand it has been a while since last level so everyone is gonnna advance to the next level this is from your last few combats and your role playing
A travelling we will go Tuesday March 4th, 2008 7:21:34 PM Winterglade aka Goodbarrel waits while the tracks are inspected thinking about how quickly it is going to be before they get to fresh air again and hoping it is soon as the stench is getting to him.
Brahmah following the tracks comments that there may be many somethings perhaps a small army of them. Most appear to be tracks made by Taur but there seems to maybe be some human prints in there.
Gecktar suggests that the tracks may be made by allies of Jacktar or they may have been mercenaries hired by the current Guard captain but either way they should follow the tracks.
Zeoll scans his head for information to see if there is any up there that can help them out. He finds that the tracks are made by Centaurs and there definitely are a few human tracks made there as well, there seems to also be some tracks made by the flesh golems but you cannot tell how many. The tracks are as recent as within the past two days and going to weeks old. Zeoll is also all for moving on and following the tracks to see where they lead.
OOC Buhll aka BigTim posted on the L&B that he had to give up his computer, we are waiting for email confirmation though before deciding anything and we are still waiting for a heads up from Ceil in regards to her computer problems.
Winterglade Wednesday March 5th, 2008 8:35:36 AM
"Let's get out of here before claustrophobia gets me, yes?"
Winterglade, on the verge of being out of his mind, starts to trot into the north passage on shaking legs.
[How much XP exactly are we getting? It is important to those of us who craft items. Winterglade needs 6530 XP for the next level.]
Brahmah Wednesday March 5th, 2008 9:37:41 AM
OOC: As stated previously, Brahmah needs about 3000xp to be able to level. I am with Glade, some of us need exact numbers.
Zeoll Wednesday March 5th, 2008 5:46:19 PM
Zeoll tells his friends what he has learned and continues to move the party forward. "Come on! I bet these Tarr trracks werre made by Jacktarr and his followerrs."

OOC Here are the exp totals for now then 7000 Exp each
P.S post coming later
Tracking the Tracks Wednesday March 5th, 2008 9:05:00 PM
As the chosen follow the tracks to the north the passageway continues to a while bending a twisting but for the most part on a norther track. After what is about 5 minutes you come to another round circler room same as before only this room has 2 exits not 3 as the western passage is collapsed. The tracks continue to the north and there is a eastern passage as well that head off onto the gloom. Buhll points out a spot on the floor where he awoke earlier.
Winterglade Thursday March 6th, 2008 4:11:29 AM
"Uh, this is not good. Maybe we should start making a map. Goodbarrel says we go on to the north."
"Let's hope Jacktar doesn't know about these tunnels. If he does it might mean the Harbor Master set us up."
[Thanks! I should update my sheet by the next week.]
Brahmah Thursday March 6th, 2008 8:39:38 AM
(OOC: Sheet coming asap.)
The ranger looks at the tracks. "I suggest we continue following the tracks."
Zeoll Thursday March 6th, 2008 2:26:56 PM
Yes, do let's go norrth. And we need no map -- we have the trrained memorry of a barrd to guide us!"
Zeoll grins as he makes this boast.
The tracks to the north Thursday March 6th, 2008 10:43:20 PM
As the chosen follow the track that are in the mud WinterGlade wants to start a map but Zeoll remarks they need no map as the chosen have his his trained memory to guide them. Brahmah suggest to continue following the tracks. All agree that following the track seams a goodish idea.
As the chosen continue there trek northward the tunnel continues to wind a bit here and there maybe to avoid large underground rock beds. The smell however does not get any better but nor any worse and soon the chosen do not even note it, but one wonders how long the smell will linger after they return to fresh air.
Soon the tunnel comes to a shape bend in to the left and as they turning the corner you come face to face with a door that does not belong. The door completely block the tunnel and looks to be made of stone and is very ornate, it divides in the middle and as many arcane and divine symbols on it as well as several carvings of various elementals. Two dials can be seen on the door one on each side of the crack. Each dial is broken down into 4 segments each baring a carved symbol for each element. IF known language of Draconic the sentance Highlight to display spoiler: { Thous who are polite may enter freely.} is carved into the door
Gecktar Friday March 7th, 2008 3:15:46 AM
(OOC sorry guys... forget the game for two days...)
Gecktar looks at the door before him. "Nothing good in it. Just a protected door. Still lacking the skills of Kale here because I don't see any lock nor any means to open it..."
Gecktar concentrates and mutters a prayer to Domi.
He then looks once more at the door squinting this time. (OOC cast Detect Magic) Highlight to display spoiler: {(the door is blinding, with magic both arcane and Divine ) }
Brahmah d8=8 Friday March 7th, 2008 9:06:41 AM
This was not the ranger's forte, these require someone like Kale who wasn't present. "What now?"
(Rolling for hit points... 8)[Are we going to have time to train at the WLA for skills?]
Zeoll HP45 of 46, Heroism, Invisible d20+12=25 Friday March 7th, 2008 10:42:18 AM
Zeoll casts Read Magic and Comprehend Languages on the door, so that even though Zeoll is illiterate, the magic will let him get the gist of it.
Zeoll tells the party that it says something about if we are courteous, we are free to enter.
Then Zeoll thinks about any hint of a door like this or a puzzle like this in his mental trove of stories and tales. [Bard Lore check 25].
Finally, he says, "Maybe we arre supposed to turrn the dials to match two elements. But what combination is a courteous one?"

The centaur trots up to the door, says: "May we enter, please?" and knocks on it.
A Door You Friday March 7th, 2008 10:33:17 PM
The Chosen stand for a moment looking at the massive door before them Gecktar and Brahmah Both wish that Kale and his skills were here at the moment, but then Gecktar cast Detect Magic on the door and is almost blinded by the magic that radiates off the door both arcane and divine.
Zeoll casts Read Magic and Comprehend Languages to try to figure out the doors symbols. He finds the Thous who are polite may enter freely. and wonders which or the elements are courteous WinterGlade however says Zeoll. Let us first try if the simplest approach works."
The centaur trots up to the door, says: "May we enter, please?" and knocks on it.
As soon as the centaur does this there is a loud creaking sound. The sound is of stone on stone moving very slowly as a visible separation in the doors side can slowly be seen. A cold draft can be felt and not not after the stench of decay and death can be smelt.( the air is also very stale) After a minute the door is no more then a inch or so open (but still moving) the room beyond in dark very what light leaks into the room you can see a dustly and cobweb filled tunnel ahead that opens up into a larger corridor
Winterglade Saturday March 8th, 2008 8:27:02 AM
In the midst of a dark, smelly sewers Winterglade has his own moment of sunshine. "Yes! Be amazed by the mighty wisdom of Winterglade!"
Later, when the stale air comes out, the centaur wrinkles his nose and enthusiasm abandons him. "Actually, this doesn't smell too inviting. This is not the way to the exit. Maybe we should just close it up and move on."
"On the other hand, it very well may be that the evil force that animates the dead around here has its lair behind these doors..."
Brahmah Saturday March 8th, 2008 10:55:05 AM
"Then, oh mighty and wise Goodbarrel, after you!" The minotaur gestures a polite hand toward the door.
Winterglade Saturday March 8th, 2008 11:23:16 AM

"Well, let's say, 'Thank you verry much!' and go in!" says Zeoll.
Gecktar Monday March 10th, 2008 4:16:47 PM "What amazing courteous guys you are" says Gecktar looking at Winterglade and Zeoll.
"Yes, many thanks" he adds while waiting until the door completely open
