Experience awards and the details of the bags will be forthcoming tomorrow by e-mail.
We're going to have a week, or so, of Interlude while you work on character sheets, etc.. Begin your shopping in the Catacombs once you have received notice of the bags tomorrow. I will tell you when the items are delivered.
Thanks to everyone, particularly Steven, while I was away.
One of you pointed out that their is a significant discrepancy in "magic item values" between the original or older characters and the newcomers. The "bags" are an attempt to deal with this, so do not expect that everyone will receive equal values.

Tishe' seems to be as embarrassed as Grymash with the sudden display of affection. The small woman awkwardly pats Grymash on the arm and smiles. "Er, thank you, sweetie. I'm pleased at the results myself."
She barely notices the bags or other preparations, occasionally glancing at Grymash or Gilan as she walks. Her eyes are clouded as if there is a puzzle that she doesn't have all the pieces for. And there is another face drifting in her memory, one of a goat-footed faun in a forest far away. Companions, or is there something else too? Her thoughts want to deny the very possibility, but they keep coming up.

Noting he still has injured packmates, Trellus casts enough healing spells to make sure Vayine, Olaf, and anybody else are fulling healed.
With a forced grin and a word of thanks, the cleric takes the gift from Araxo. But he's just too worried about Murdock and Aeryon to stay focuesed. One thing he does do is make sure his standard daily spells are cast:
Endure Elements - 24 hours Magic Vestment - Extended (shield) - +2 AC Magic Vestment - Extended (armor) - +2 AC Status - Gry, Gilan, Flea
And then spends the day in mind-numbing march mode, trying desperately not to think of what might be happening at Oddholme.

The young blonde man examines the grasses as they pass, trying to get a feel for which might provide useful material for building a trap or creating a hunting blind. He keeps an eye out for creatures with valuable pelts, and inquires of his companions hoping to find more information about the possible uses of the products of the grasses.
In the end, he tries to strike up some conversation with Tishe, who long ago wove a grass mat as protection against the elements. After some time, he shifts gears, inquiring, "Hey now...how's all this change for you? I've been thinkin' the pace o' things been mighty fast. Don't know that I've figured out things from a week ago...just hoping everythin's alright with you."

Flea takes her cue from those who have a better idea on the lay of the Sargrass regarding the best direction to take. She scouts as best she can,

and points out anything interesting or unusual to her companions. When given the opportunity, she walks beside the altered dwarf, and asks him "what it was like...this time? Did you see him?" The rogue studies Yanosh, wondering if it was the proximity to the Woldsblood, or something else, that has changed her friend. She wonders if it was a gain or a loss for the cleric.
Her eyes slide over to study the druid, Gilan. Whatever had happened when he had gone of with the Walkerso long ago had certainly changed that one! The gnome figures the druid doesn't seem nearly as comfortable in his own half elf skin as that of the creatures he so often morphs into.
Some of the pack had changed...were changing. Still, they all looked out for each other, from the leader Trellus, to the newest folks Yanosh and Olaf.
Still, it was a little scary.

Grymash graciously excepts his bag of goodies. He wonders what could possibly be inside. Oh what should he do to find out.
The half-orc then begins to ponder about the path back home. What would be the fastest way? Judging the arch of the sun's path, the direction the wind is blowing, landmarks and hopefully their old tracks, he can hopefully figure it out. Maybe he should team trackers possibly better than him. "Uhhh Gilan?!"

Vayine takes the bag from the Manfri, bowing deeply in thanks for the gift. "My thanks for your hospitality. If you ever need my sword, It is yours." the drow places his right arm against his chest. his clentched fist over his heart.
Turning he heads towards the rest of the pack. "Oddholme may need us, we need to find the quickest way to the dome."

The trek seems interminable, an endless sea of grass that blocks vision and spawns seeming hordes of annoying insects. The worst is when someone carelessly stumbled into a stand of some grass and shook pollen down over the entire group.
When anyone opens the sack provided by Aroxo, the contents are something useful or desired.
The trek finishes in evening, when Grymash and the others figure that there is less than a day to reach Oddholme.

Sotly Yanosh speaks with Flea, "I cannot say how it was. I never left the Wold. I was there with you all the whole time. No I did not see Lord Gargul. I said my goodbyes to all of you and even tryed to help Araxo dtop the flow of Woldsblood. Then Gimp came and next thing I knew I was back here." Yanosh keeps quiet of his unDwarven like actions of kissing the Gnome on her head as she knelt over his body.
Other then talking with Flea Yanosh is quiet as they march.

Trellus gets up the next morning, and quickly gets ready to march. Realizing they will likely reach Oddholme this evening, the cleric's mind turns to combat preparation.
Approaching Yanosh and Vayine, he asks, "Are there any buffing spells you guys would like me to cast on you if we ever get time before combat? I can do Strength spells or Enlarge person or resistance or picks like that. Anything you'd like me to keep in mind?
Trellus then prays for his spells, keeping in mind his packmates response. As soon as he's done with that, he casts a SENDING spell, shooting a message to Murdock, who should be in Oddholme - Danger! Fought not-rapke creator yesterday. He's heading your way to reach Portal and may be there any minute. We're a day away. The blond man waits nervously for a response from his drow wizard friend.

After having not closely examined the sack given to him before, Olaf now finally takes a peek inside. Some clinking coins can be heard, and he puts it back in his haversack while he thinks of how to use these funds to improve his usefulness to his companions. He hopes he didn't bore Tishe too much with his attempts at conversation.

A few moments later the drow pulls out his sword, the metal gleaming in the light. after a few practice swings the warrior feels warmed up and ready.

When the group camp for the night, Flea examines the contents of her gift bag. The rogue further calms herself by taking a careful inventory of her possessions--some valuable, some trinkets with personal significance. On finding a fragile and faded silk ribbon, she rubs it against her cheek before carefully rolling it into a little coil and tucking it into her HHHaversack.
The following morning, Flea watches the sunrise over the Sargrass. She is quiet, respecting those who need the morning for communing with the spirits of the Wold, or for prayer to their gods. She wonders if she should pray. To Alemi? Gargul? or Tishe's Mother Wold?

After an exhausting morning of walking, the Bloodpack figure that they are nearly back to Oddholme. In the morning, Trellus had attempted to communicate with Murdock at the grass dome. He was pleased to contact the wizard, but somewhat puzzled by the response.
"Disturbance this morning. Ayreon thought something here, but no tracks or sign of person walking. Portal is different somehow, I'm trying to figure it out."
Everyone is wondering exactly what Murdock's message could mean.

The morning that the Bloodpack will reach Oddholme, Tishe' carefully requests her spells from Ma'ab and adjusts her arcanely memorized spells.
With the Wand of Endure Elements, she is able to help everyone who needs it to beat the heat.
With several memorized Longstrider spells, she provides one to Trellus, Flea, and Yanosh to assist them through the Sargrass. "Anyone else need to move faster while travelling?" she asks.
Finally, she casts Mage Armor on herself while using her Rod of Extend, "just in case of ambush"
And all through the trek, she worries at what they will find when they get to Oddholme.

In answer to Trellus Yanosh says he could always use a protective spell (a + to AC). Then slightly chuckles at his own joke.
Oddholme weighs heavily on his mind. He may yet be the cause of a freinds death because of his actions. Could they have ended Horvis if he would not have jumped in so early?
The more time he spends in the Sargrass the more he sees it is like the Ice Vein. Just heat and grass instead of cold and snow. Inhospitable to all but those who are from there.

Olaf comes to be of a similar mind to Yanosh. While he tries to invoke the feeling of Celsiun in this hot and humid environment, only a vague whisper answers him. But otherwise this place shares its environment with the Vein.
To Tishe's query, Olaf responds, "No, I don't need the extra speed---these boots do enough, I'm thinkin'. As for the message from Murdock, I don't know, but my guess is the portal's connecting to more things now than it was before. Seems like the potentiality of the woldsblood would make things go crazy like."

Grymash uncharacteristically hums a tune to himself as he prepares for the final leg of the trip. The buzz of pleasing his god still buzzing, filling him with a warm sensation and wonderful, wonderful silence. No more voices in his head ... no more compulsions and unwanted thoughts ... peace, wonderful peace for the first time since he can remember.

Trellus grins at Yanosh's joke, relieved to see the dwarf has a sense of humor about, well, dying and all. Noting the ring on his finger, the blond man remarks, "if that's a Protection ring, my spells won't do you much more good. They're the same kind of magic."
There is an awkward pause, as the cleric tries to think of how to broach the next subject
"Um, you've changed Yanosh. Are you all right?"

The Bloodpack is nearly back to the grass dome, the spells coming in handy to keep the slowest members up with the others. From the looks of things, the Bloodpack will arrive at Oddholme in late afternoon.

Tishe' jumps on Vayine's suggestion with enthusiasm. "Yes! The Dragon Tears allow to feel the general health of those others who wear them, which means that Areyon and Murdock are still OK." The relief Tishe' feels is obvious on her face. "So the change in the gateway/alter is significant, and Horvis may have activated it to use it to escape. If it is still active, we can follow him to end his menace to the Sargrass!"

Looking at Trellus Yanosh thinks for a minute. "If you meen am I healthy I must say I am alive. But if you meen do i feel the same?" Yanosh glances at Flea then back to Trellus. "No I do not. Something has changed But I am not sure as to what. I feel stronger yet not like before." Yanosh shakes his head and turns to Vayine. "What would you like to know?"

Trellus opens his mouth to answer Vayine, and is left hanging as Tishe jumps in. And then she jumps off on the portal tangent.... The cleric holds his hands in surrender. "Hold on Little Weaver," he chuckles. "You're all over the loom."
Addressing Vayine, he responds to the drow's original question. "The Tear only seems to allow one sentence or so. And you need to be able to see who you're talking to." A nod to Tishe. "She's right in that if you concentrate, you should be able to sorta sense Ayreon's surface level emotional and physical state. Not mind-reading or nuthin', but if he's really happy or really hurt. Picks like that."
"And," he declares, turning toward Tishe, "I don't think I wanna jump into any portal without a really good idea of what I'm gonna find on the other side - if it don't just scatter me to the winds. I've had more than enough popping around the Wold already, thank you very much." The easy grin never fades during this statement, as he's not really bothered, just sorta launching into half-serious lecture mode.

Olaf gives a loud guffaw at Trellus's joke. "Poppin' 'bout too much, he says. Hah!" Pausing to think on the issue for a moment, he suggests, "but if we wanna know 'bout the portal, again, there're probably spells to help the situation. Somethin' to gives us some answers about magical portals n' the like. Specially since we been there, and know someone there. Don't have it myself, but I thought that one o' ya might."

Much to our friends amasements Gimp appears and begins closing the rupture. In the process, he sends Yanosh back to the land of the Living. His time is not done here...
A shrine is created to bring honor and Araxo offers to recharge the Bloodpack's wands. Though at first they hoped Araxo would be able to fix the Dragon Tears they are thankful never the less and quickly wands and staves are offered to Araxo for fixing.
The next day, everything is recharged, and Araxo explains more about what is happening in the Plains. From the look of it... Horvis is on his way to OddHolme...

Yanosh turns to Vayine. Looking the Drow over Yanosh softly speaks, "Gargul is in dominion over life and death. None are born or die untill it is time, and Lord Gargul sees that it is so. I came to serve Him when I went to stande before him to plead for the life of one from the Ice Pack. I swore that I would serve Him if the soul was returned to us. He said that he would accept my service and here I am. To be an Eye of Gargul Meens that one is charged with spreading his word and work. An Eye sees that there are no undead in the Wold, which Gargul hates. if there are then he must defeat them or call for ones that can. Life is neither Good nor Death Evil. Gargul is the Keeper of Souls all live and die through him, Belivers and non-Belivers alike."
