Bendis asks: Please tell us what you know about the defenses of this site.
The Ring: The pedestal is the control. Lay one of the devices, while still wearing it inside the light of the pedestal again. Then you may communicate to the teucri projection responsible for defense of this site.
Bendis asks: And please show us the location of the other Tuecri sites across the Wold.
The Ring: A great number of sites flash past Bendis' mind. Behind the waterfall where the Endless River falls from Plateau City. Behind a huge carving of a Teucri on the west side of the 1st Plateau, the entire Floating City, pyramids in Plateau City, an underwater site under a lake on the 1st plateau (where the Floating City used to be) and then assorted buildings and sites all over the Elennian Plateaus.

Meanwhile, Rosario, having decided it is time to act has started moving Fabersham's body so it can be disposed of.

Bendis' jaw drops as the secret Tuecri strongholds are revealed. Is... Is there a method of moving between them? Are they linked by teleportation portals or something similar?
To Rosario Bendis says "Um, I suppose our first order of business is to raise the defenses, right?"

Rosario stops and cocks an eyebrow back to Bendis, "Something like that I figure. With Fabersham having been here, I say part of that raising of defences is to not be here anymore. But knowing the capabilities of the site in full is certainly worth a few more moments." Roy dumps the body back to the floor and goes to the Pedastal. taking out the earring he puts it on the pedastal and says aloud, "Show me all of the capabilities of this place."

Picci chews her lip, knowing that she is severely limited in thinking of things defensive...or offensive. Healing the body and soul are her specialities, and she just can't think of anything to ask at the moment.

As Rosario puts the earring on the pedestal, still holding on to it, she makes her request.
"Show me all the capabilities of this place."
After a few minutes, with no one quite sure when it appeared, a projection similar to the one the group fought on the ledge outside this complex is seen standing beside Rosario. It bows and speaks.
"Greetings, some things are forbidden even to the descendants of those we gifted. However, we do wish for our facilities to be a refuge for you. So make your requests known and if possible it shall be granted."
Then the small blackish grey creature bows and smiles showing pointed teeth.

The youth scowls at the image and with a terse voice states shortly, "Then show me the parts that are not forbidden you bleeding spectral shade."
Looking to Zita, he blows upwards from the corner of his mouth, "Magic." He states, "So bleeding particular. Benduis, I think I have wrapped my mind about why you are so, well you." the last comes with a bit of a grin as he turns back to teh pedastal

The projections grin grows extending towards where its ears should have been and says. "Show you? Ok."
It closes its eyes for just a second--almost an extended blink. A moment later, Rosario is surrounded by some sort of transparent bubble and is being bounced around the chamber.
Reflex Save DC 16 to dive to the side and avoid the bubble.
Then it repeats, "So make your request known and if possible it shall be granted."

I think we're mostly done here. Not rushing ya, but that is my assessment. As soon as you decide to leave the Teucri complex, Jamie will be taking over as DM for a time.

Picci is concentrating on wracking her little brain for something constructive to ask the Teucri projection so that she doesn't notice that Rosario is now a living demonstration of one of the protection systems in place on this facility--she fails to get out of the way of the bouncing bubble. (OOC: failed her Ref Save with a total of 9.)

"Son of Brewer!" Rosario calls out in stunned surprise as the globe encases him. [reflex 7] A few other more color phrases bring question to the small grey creatures heritage and marital status of his parents echo through the chamber from Rosario as he bounces about. A bit of time of this and he seems to calm somewhat stating "End the demonstration."
Assuming he is released, Rosario moves back to the pedastal, "Nice." he says gruffly. "Can this place be sealed tight from physical and magical intrusion?" he asks. "And If so can it be set to still allow Zita, Picci or myself to gain access with any we bring with us?"
Rosario then turns to the others, "We still need to start on a plan of moving into the city and working the problem of this Shadow Council. We have a name, we need to see if others have heard of them and where we might start returning the attention."

Calvierius shakes his head slowly. "This is a lot to digest all at once. Evil mind-controlling cretaures? Dark conspiracies? Ancient protectors? What am I to make of all of this? I think it is for the best if we move in hiding for a short time, at least until we have the ability to strike back, hard, at those who threaten the well-being of the Noble Races."
Calvierius moves to help Rosario dispose of Fabersham's body.

The demonstration, as our hero Rosario puts it, ends when requested. This location can be guarded by stating the name of anyone you do not want to enter.
The facility has already been set to allow those present to enter without any defenses activating. Though please continue to avoid the Demon's mouths. They stay activated no matter what.
We cannot prevent magical attack, but can recover once attacked. Teleports, planer travel, and other ways of instant travel or travel never work in this location.
The Teucri projection walks with Rosario as the party works the body out to the entrance.
"We suggest throwing the body into the demon's portal at the end of the long hall. It will annihilate the body."

This officially ends the first module. ;) xp for the last scene is 750xp each.
Update your character sheets and notify Jamie and I that it is updated via email or at the end of your post so we can check out your brilliance. ;)

Calvierius assists Rosario in tossing the body into the demon portal, while remaining wary of the demon's flaming breath.
"So, where are we headed next, besides out?"

Based on my records, this 750 XP is the first we've gotten in quite some time, so it's not enough to level me (or anybody else, AFAIK), so the character sheets should all remain pretty much the same.

Zita has remained oddly silent for the longest amount of time and generally immobile on the floor that she has been seated at. Her mind is try to digest all that she has learned and will still learn as the go about their quest to...do what? Are they going to find the enemy, hide or do something else entirely.
She slowly stands as the others start to file out, though she is a little slower as she is still lost in thought. She does take the time to nod to Rosario and then shake her head. "It seems we will have to plan our next move very carefully." She is not sure what that should be and does not feel like trying to figure it out...she is drained for the moment.
[Sorry to be gone for so long guys. Just to let you know, but my provider dropped me as I exceeded the 9000 minutes per month that they gave to me. Between my brother and I, we use that really fast and in fact went past it and that is what caused them to drop us. We then needed to find a new provider that gives unlimited access. So should be around for good as long as life does not kick me in the teeth. :)]

Picci is also thoughtful, not saying much, but she walks beside Zita, using her newly-acquired quarterstaff as a walking stick in her right hand while reaching up and giving the taller redhead a one-armed hug with her free arm.
"We can beat these guys, Zita," the petite priestess assures the young Duke, "As long as we stay together."
