When anyone enters the tunnel, I need a Will save from you.

Lian notices two auras nearby and can tell both are illusion.

Gunther, your Enlarge will be gone next round.

Ingrge's Eye moves further and sees a huge giant crouching near the crates staring at the tunnel intently. He is only about 70ft from Lian and doesn't seem to notice him at all. His leer is maniacal and he looks winded.

Edge moves to the box and starts fiddling with the mechanism which is keeping it shut. The giant is too focused to notice.

(Map is still pretty much unchanged. Edge is near his gear now, Lian hasn't moved and everyone is more or less inside the tunnel now. Remember the saves!)

Round 10: Party actions
Lian concentrates and discovers the obvious. Illusion and the aura is moving.
Ingrge casts Bestow Curse on the giant.
Gunther moves in, as does KNara. Gunther sees nothing in the room other than crates, Ingrge and a large throne.
The bald man, Edge, has made his escape, unseen and mysterious. Maybe you will meet him again one day?

Round 10: Storm Giant's held action
Upon seeing Ingrge, the giant fires off an arcing bolt of energy, first hitting Ingrge, then bouncing to the others.
(Reflex Save DC 18, for 54 electric damage on Ingrge, 27 damage to Gunther and Knara save for half, SR 25)

Round 11: Storm Giant
The spell cast by Ingrge at the giant has apparently fizzled out.
Glandmarroc moves off West of his current position and casts. Gunther needs to make a Will save DC 18 please.
Then, as if he was imbued with lightning itself, the giant fires off another lightning spell. (Reflex save DC 18, Gunther is the primary target this time, for 56 damage on Gunther, 28 damage on Ingrge and Knara, save for half, SR26)

"It seems you have chosen to come for a visit instead of saving the halflings. Haven't you wondered why there were so few of my followers here guarding me? Haven't the wise Green Dragons of the Culverwood, those who killed the Wyrm, figured out the ruse yet? How do you think the halflings will feel about the great Emerald Dragons after their little towns are demolished? First it was elven refugees. REMEMBER GOOD HOPE ADDS TO SAVES... but if I recall, INgrge may not have been in the area when it was cast.

Lucia lets KNara know that there are no beings within view who might be invisible.

The red head looks at Gunther briefly and then moves cautiously forward to the mass of 6ft tall boulders in front of them and her images do the same. She shakes her head. "Great. Improved Invis on a manaic."

"Your not making sense oh mister storm giant sir. Please allaberate on the plot you have concocted." She rolls her eyes, sort of hoping he doesn't have a great plan already in the works, or even worse, happening simotaneously to the Emerald's attack here.

OOC: Kent, the spell the giant is using is a spell-like ability and he's casting as a 20th level caster, but he is neutered due to the funky Heartseed, so damage from the natural ability isn't what it should be. So other things are going on behind the scenes. :)

Dodging the lightening bolts (saves 29 & 34 plus ring of evasion) Ingrge scoots over to behind the three foot tall boulders for partial cover and begins rumaging through his pockets. Muttering to himself as he sees that his original tactic wasn't going to work, the wily mage changes his plan.

Fine if thats the way you are going to play it . Go ahead and hide behind that repulsive, abomination of a plant. I will take care of that first and then you. Ok now, Where did I put those, I just used the others when we were at the Floating City, I should have at least one maybe two left, come on now where are you. Ah yes! Here we are.

Pulling a couple of wrinkled scolls from the bottom of his deep pockets, Ingrge uses his vision and that of his eye in the sky to locate where the heart seed is protruding from the giant (chest or back of neck). Once located Ingrge opens up and begins casting the spell from the scroll and sends his spectral hand to touch the exposed part of the heartseed.

Casting Blight - 43 points to the heartseed, heart seed gets a Fortitude save DC 24 for 21 points, SR 24 negates

(OOC: Kent, make a Spot check. Remember, there is a dead priest tied to the giant's neck, like a torq or periapt. I mentioned this, I believe, in the giant's description, from either the Ga'al cleric in the village or in the description given by the eye. The corpse gives cover to the seed, provided its around his neck. :)) Also, which is the Touch Attack from the hand?

Glandmarroc Actions, round 11:
The giant casts and taunts the Dragons.

Party Actions, round 11:
Ingrge's Blight does some noticable damage.
Knara moves forward and Lucia tells her there are beings within up to that point.
Lian moves west, cautiously, 10ft, after casting Bull's Strength.
Gunther follows aimlessly behind Knara, but not so close as to present a cluster of targets.

Glandmarroc Actions, round 12:
The massive giant draws his greatsword after taking a moment to steady himself and seems to be looking in the Emerald's general direction, waiting for something. The gleam in his eye makes those who can see him uneasy.

Knara and Lucia will likely be able to detect the giant, and Lian, this round.

Party Actions, Round 12:
Ingrge casts Reverse Gravity.
Lian stays put, activating his boots and going defensive (for good reason), unsure of the giant's placement.
Knara casts Glitterdust.
Gunther holds back.

Glandmarroc Actions, Round 12:
The giant held.
(Save vs Glitterdust blindness, success) But the giant can now be seen, his outline very clear.

Glandmarroc, Round 13:
The giant rises quickly to the ceiling, however, he has something active which doesn't allow him to hit with force. He remains, hovering, some 80ft up above the spot he had been standing. There is about 40ft remaining between him and the ceiling.
"By Ga'al, you are keen on death I see. Are you certain your doing the right thing by being here? I am, of course, referring to the fact the vermin in the valley are dying as I speak."
He does nothing this round either.

At this point it should be clear that the giant can't see Lian. He made no attempt to hit him nor did it seem to even notice him.

A badger makes no attempt to hide, slowly and curiously approaches Gunther. It doesn't seem to be afraid of the noise of combat.

The giant taunts the dragons one more time.

Party Actions, round 13:
Knara casts further divertionary spells.
Lian stands in contemplation.
Gunther stands in amazement.
Ingrge uses a Limited Wish scroll to mimic Flesh to Stone.

The giant feels the spell and he loses his zeal. "You! Mage! Will die first." He flies, still 80ft up and descending fast, toward Ingrge, landing within 15ft of him (just beside the boulder, being tall enough to reach over the cover from the rocks, Lian behind him) and swings his massive, very sharp, nasty looking greatsword once. [this was NOT a charge](Hitting AC 42, for 37 damage, 2 of which are unholy damage)

The innocent looking badger now launches himself at Gunther. (Hitting AC 43 for 2 bite damage)

Everyone can make a spot check to see a few interesting things about the giant.

"Saving halflings was never on your agenda, was it? You three seek blood and can't get enough. Well, let me put you to ease. If you return to the valley, you'll get to see halfling blood first hand."

Seeing the giant move to the cieling, ingrge quickly casts a spell on the ceiling above just as the giant come into contact with it.

Almost immediately the giant begins to pummeled and grappled by the tentacles in the 40 foot circle. Evard's balck Tentacles

OOC: My apologies Kent. The Reverse Gravity apparently holds you in place too... so, erase the damage taken from the sword. Nerfed spell by the way. Pththth ;)

The giant hovers there, looking on, then casts a spell and ascends to the ceiling, now 100' up.

Growling at the badger, Gunther smacks it away with his sword, knocking it away from him and toward the rocky area. Though he doesn't really want to kill the creature, he will if it attacks again.

OOC: 2 nat. 20's in a row, so I figured I could pull off the swat technique. Otherwise, the strike does 41+ 1 fire.
