Bosk (James) AC: 19/11/18 HP 17 of 17 Spells
Saturday November 28th, 2009 10:26:01 PM

Click on my name to see my updated character sheet (Not quite complete). The Let me know what you think of the Group Loot section at the very bottom. Does it need to be more specific in regards to what we sold or what a party member has / owes for? Do I need to list who was an active player at the time and got the money, or will that get too cluttered and players should determine it on their own by their starting date?

Looks good, no need to indicate specifics as active, etc..., players should keep their character sheets updated so I can look at the group loot and then see the date on their character sheet to indicate when they received the gold. If there is a discrepancy, the group loot table always takes priority. -- DM Jim

P.S. Let me know if you find a good minotaur pic. Particularly a fair skinned blond one. Thanks.

There are tons on google :)

Bosk (James) AC: 19/11/18 HP 17 of 17 Spells
Sunday November 29th, 2009 1:13:14 AM

The tall cleric stands in the back, pondering what he might add to the conversation.
The puzzle box might connect those men, but Beri didn't mention anything about a puzzle box. What ever is doing this must also be opportunistic as well. Still, that box seems to be too much of a coincidence to ignore.
Thank you so much for your help. I apologize if we seem a bit harsh, the thing doing this attacked two of our friends. As you can imagine, we are determined to make sure no one else suffers at the hands of this monster.

After returning to the inn, Bosk will offer to take guard duty the shift before dawn. At dawn, he will meditate for his daily devotion to Gargul. After that is complete, the Cleric will return to bed until morning. (Bosk will sleep in his studded leather armor, and change into his banded mail when he wakes up.)

Beri notices a few eyes glance over him at the mention of a puzzle box possible being linked to the attacks.

"I haven't seen this puzzle box, and I don't think Maikill has either. Before I mediate tonight I will double check my belongings to make sure I didn't somehow receive it unaware "

ooc: Hmmm, looks like I did misread that last DM post in the beginning, sorry about that.

My CS is also fully updated, and I was off by 20gp in my "Currency" listing; the 10 for the room and the 10 as a gift/Bribe for Lou...

You may not have seen the box, but you werent killed ethier; you were also attacked during the daylight... Maikill happend across this creature by chance, I assume you did as well... I think it hunted the merchants; not you or Maikill. The box is the only lead we have at the moment; unless we wish to figure out who else smokes and drinks in this muddy town; in which case, we should just start interogating people as they reach the town limits, without smoke or drink one would surely lose their mind in the forsaken place...

The grumpy elf then makes his way back to the inn and to his room/bed to get some rest; not wishing to discuss much more this night, since dawn is soon approaching.

Maikill HP 28/28, AC16
Sunday November 29th, 2009 4:53:12 PM

Maikill waits for his answer at Black Harris' shop, and when he does not get it he asks again.

"Where puzzle box now? It in shop, we see it?"

The shop is closed as per my post. DM Jim

About how big was the puzzle box?
Do you know what the box was made of?
Did it have any notable markings on it?
Did it appear to have moving parts, or pieces that could be rotated? Or did it appear solid?

Ooc: How well secured is the building? Could a sneaky rogue possibly get in to look around?

ooc: Bosk better said what I meant Maikill to say. How about we look around the shop? Sorry Maikill's post came off a bit wrong.

About how big was the puzzle box?

-- about 6" square

Do you know what the box was made of?

--some sort of wood, maybe mahogany

Did it have any notable markings on it?

--no

Did it appear to have moving parts, or pieces that could be rotated? Or did it appear solid?

--it appeared to be solid.

As for Black Harris' place, it is locked front and back, you won't know if a rogue can get inside until he tries.

Grendel (Jay) AC:15/10/15 HP 13/13
Monday November 30th, 2009 9:29:13 AM

Grendel has nothing of note to question the relatives about. She does make a point to offer her condolences and prayers for the family. If it seems to be of any comfort to them she will assure them that the monster that did this will be tracked down and eliminated.

Grendel attempts to put some of the pieces together. "Old Mac liked to collect oddities, it can be assumed that this puzzle box contained more than he could handle. The fact that it was purchased from a homeless person likely means that it was stolen goods. The only fence we've met since being in this town is our good friend Gordo, maybe we should pay him a friendly visit and see what light he can shine on this situation?"

sorry about short post but life is insane.

As the group turns head back to the cold comfort inn, The Horned Cleric speaks to the rogues. so do any if you fancy a tour of his shop? I don't trust the people of this town, and this may be our only chance to find the puzzle box. After all, we are trying to avenge this mans death and save the life of countless innocent people.

The tired elf offers more of his own advice, I say we come back to this shop during the daylight; sure sneaking in at night would probably offer better security but then again, this is a farily lawless town; so I don't think anyone will confront us about looking around a dead merchants shop. Surly Sanji or Xeron can pick the locks, if not our Horned Friend here can just bust the door down, ethier way, we get inside.

Leaning on his staff he mumbles a bit to himself and then adds, I still think we should rest for the rest of this night, and get on with our investigation in the morning..

If the group does not wish to explore the shop tonight, Bosk will return to the inn with them.
