Tishe' sets her celestial lions on the nearest snakeman, while her bear helps out Falmar. To try and aid Yanosh who is in trouble, she casts a spell upon the huge snake and hopes..

Falmar finds his sword cutting into the snake though his other attacks are off the mark.

Gilan turns his attention to the huge snake holding Yanosh as he was able to deliver healing to Grymash. His teeth snap in at the thing, seeking to damage it.

Yanosh is getting weaker in the coils of the huge snake, until he notes that he now has a mouse hanging on his armor.

Grymash stops bleeding at least so he is not longer in danger of dying.

Trellus has moved closer and is truly ready now to aid his pack, the question is which on to aid.

Snakeman(1) hisses in defiance as he moves towards Falmar, his weapon cutting at the man and eyes flashing[hit: 21/13/29 and damage: 18/17/13].
.
Snakeman(2) turns on the large creature that has moved up near him, his weapon clashing at it[hit: 21/27/30 and damage: 16/13/9].

Snakeman(3) begins a low chant off in the grass.

Huge Snake finds itself a very small mouse that bites at Yanosh's face[hit: 25 and damage: 1].

Large Snake(1) falls from the attack placed upon it, blood staining the ground.

Large Snake(2) has a little blood flowing from a gash from swords. This time it bites at Falmar since using its body is not working[hit: 17 and damage: 9].

The area around Yanosh starts to wiggle and grasp at all those in the surrounding area[reflex DC 24].

Falmar turns from the snake to confront the snakeman coming toward him, only to receive three accurately placed cuts to his chest...at the same time he feels a quick poke in one of his legs and his vision slowly fades, he drops his weapon and slumps down upon the bloodied grasses...

Snakeman #2 delivers three more cuts to Celestial Lion B who pops into amber colored smoke and is gone.

Celestial Lion A continues his attack on Snakeman A, all missing. (Claw, Claw, Haste Claw, Bite)

The Brown Bear attacks the snake attacking Falmar, striking with its teeth. (Claw, Claw, Haste Claw, Bite Nat20 Crit miss) Dam 11

Tishe' breathes a quick sigh of relief as Yanosh is freed, but then Falmar goes down too, and she still has to clear a way to get to Grymash!

Steeling herself for some possible pain, Tishe' edges around the clearing until she is able to get to Grymash without getting cut (no AOO from Snakeman A1; never left threatened square) and casts a defensive healing spell (success, no AOO).

Grymash's eyes open... bloodshot with rage! His fire was almost snuffed out (and it should have been, -31hp whoa!), but his flame still continues to barely burn. He grabs for his weapon, and with a massive heave, using every ounce of his strength, he makes it to his feet. Grymash's mangled, blood-soaked form appears to have reanimated himself and become one of the walking dead.

Tishe' sends her summoned friends into the fray to continue the attacks upon their respective target. She then makes her way to Falmar's prone form to heal him.

Falmar slumps to the ground as the snakeman takes him down.

Gilan turn on the snakeman by Falmar, his teeth finding purchase on the things skin, ripping and tearing before drawing him into a mouth full of teeth.

Yanosh hits the mouse and sends it flying into the short grass at his feet.

Grymash stands back up and the snakeman nearby seems stunned by the large man getting back up.

Trellus casts a simple healing spells that hits Grymash, Falmar and Yanosh with as much healing as possible.

Snakeman(1) is stuck in the jaws of the large worm.

Snakeman(2) seems to be stunned as his weapons droop some and he slithers back slightly.

Snakeman(3) is nowhere to be found.

Huge Snake scurries through the grass heading for a safe spot.

Large Snake(1) is dead.

ooc: JimW: the map and combat descriptions are confusing when trying to use both. If I use the map to interpret the posted action, I get this...
- Tishe' went to heal Grymash and is near A1 and A2 (the snake-men)
- Gilan attacked and grappled A2 (assumedly since A2 was closer to Gilan. Further, Grymash and Yanosh are both between Gilan and A1.
- Assuming from the spell description that the area around Yanosh is an Entangle spell with a 40 foot radius spread that affects ALL within the clearing.

So
- A2 is grappled,
- A1 is ready to run since he is surrounded by a now-living Grymash, Tishe', summoned Brown Bear, and a flying Trellus.
- Huge Snake is a permenant little mouse
- Large Snake attacks the closest upright enemy (Brown Bear or Celestial Lion) and gets a bite.
- Everyone on both sides have to take the Reflex DC 24 or be entangled.

Tishe' opens her eyes, blinking away the after-images. "Wha...?" she asks intelligently. Nothing in her experience has prepared her for the strange confluence of magic.

Tishe' surveys the lay of the moons and identifies the time as dusk. A quick weaving over to the snake-taurs confirms thier threads have been cut.

"So we need to set up camp", she states to the others. Getting lost in commonalities of weaving mats and gathering fuel for a small fire enable her to forget for a time the strange battle, and begin pondering the tracks of everyone moving in the same direction.

"Curiouser and curiouser.", she says to her horned toad, Wart. The toad doesn't reply.

Falmar Stretches and looks around at the rest of his pack. Noting any serious injuries. He curiously pokes at the stuffed Snakeman with his finger. Grinning, he opens his pack and begins to cram the stuffed Snake man inside.
This could scare someone real nice....!

"IF we hurry we may be able to catch up the people they were chasing... Though it is getting late.. we could at least stop them from going off all warped."

The Bloodpack goes on the attack and with the battle going badly the remaining snakeman that can slip away starts towards the grass. His movement are quick but avoiding the possibilities of drawing attacks from anyone.

Several of the enemies go down with the assault that the Bloodpack has made. The remaining snakeman has made it to the edge of the grass area and will enter the tall grass very soon. That leaves only one snakeman left in the area that Gilan is holding onto. The snake in the bear's claws is mauled and dead as well.

The area around Yanosh starts to wiggle and grasp at all those in the surrounding area[reflex DC 24].

Gilan spits out the now dead snake thing and then shifts back into his human form as he looks around. He is breathing heavy and glanced to the rest of the group as a whole. "I am sorry. I let myself get distracted." That was something that he could not let happen and it should not have happened this time around.

The last living snakeman slips into the grass and the Bloodpack is left in the middle of the large open area which is wiggling with life. Tishe' is unable to calm the grass through her spell she knows but for some reason the grass does calm and they are left with some decisions.

They have not lost that much time on those fleeing this group as they would not be able to move through the grass as fast. Do they seek them out still or let them alone?

Okay. I am going to try and pick things back up with a slight vengeance as I don't want the game to die. This means fighting my butt off to get a post everyday, at least a GM post. I will keep you all aware if things start to go bad and hopefully you will still agree to play under me.

Tishe' takes time to go around and make sure that her packmates are all alive before dismissing the Brown Bear back into her Bag of Tricks. The mystic gives a quick nod and smile to Trellus and then takes out her Cure LIght Wounds wand to shore up some wounds.

Falmar Casts CLW on himself (+3 hp), and Lays his hands upon himself (+4). Pulling out his own CLW wand he adds a few more ...

Famar walks over and kicks the dead snake making sure it's dead..

The pack moves around and collects stuff from those enemies that are still around and make sure that the general area is clear. Then thoughts turn to healing and getting people patched up for what might be next. Trellus has a valid question in what they had been doing before he showed up so once someone fill him in they will be able to make a decision.

There is a group fight now in the grass moving away from them and the evidently have no idea what they are doing.

"So", begins Tishe' as she is tidying up the battlefield, "we found the clues of some Ga'alians up by Hook City and we turned walker from OddHolme to do Gargul's mission for us. Just this morning, we found all these trails in the Sargrass and it looked like one group was chasing another group. So we confront the chasers who turn out to be snake-taurs like from the portal and we wanted them to stop and they wouldn't or tell us thier intentions so they attacked and we fought."

"I think we should find the group that was being chased and get some answers. We're supposed to protect the Sargrass right? If the fleeing group knows why there are snake-taurs in the area, we may want to know that too."

"Oh, and Falmar is leader."

Trellus nods in reponse to Tishe, although the "Falmar is leader" part does earn the half-elf a quick apprasing glance. The cleric recovers himself and checks the sky, wondering how much light they have.
"All these tracks are mostly the dudes getting chased?" he asks, before looking over at Gilan.

"Can you get in front of them?"

If there's enough light, Trellus is all in favor of running down the lead group, and signals Gry and Gilan to lead the way.

[Did not mean to be confusing. The group of snakemen were chasing another group of people in the grass. This other group has very few ideas about the grass and what to expect, so they are fighting their way through the grass.]

Gilan nods his head as he listens to the recap and the idea. "Do you want me to just get ahead of them or should I see if I can stop them as well? If these things were chasing them I might be able to stop them to talk." It was just a suggestion of course but one that would make things easier for them all. He looks up as if checking the amount of light left and then smiles, almost reading Trellus's thoughts. "We have enough time and they might be thinking of camping anyways."

With a thought Gilan takes to the air as a wasp he zipped ahead of the group as orders could be relayed to him as needed. The grass parted for him as he sped on ahead of the Bloodpack. He knew that the rest of them were right behind him though and he kept in contact, letting them know that the group was still heading straight.

Before long he turned to the right as he skirted around them and in front of them. He relayed back that it was a large group maybe thirty people traveling through the grass, that some of them had weapons but they did not seem to be soldier types...maybe some training. There were woman and children as well which bothered him and made him wonder what they had been fighting.

Tishe' takes her place in line and follows the Bloodpack down the trail. It is strange that the Grass hasn't popped right back up, but it does allow her packmates to catch up to the lead group since they have to break trail.

When she gets the scouting report from Gilan, her hand tightens on her Staff of Fire. "White handed treadle snake-taurs chasing helpless orphans of the Sargrass....mumble, mumble, mumble." Her brown eyes flash in anger at what those bullies might have done.

From the size of the stretch of grass that you are walking through it is evident that a Rathom has been through here at sometime and that is why the grass is only slowly growing back. It also might explain why those ahead of you have not run into too much trouble yet. The going is rather easy but when you reach the area closer to the group ahead of you, it will become a little harder though as you would need to venture off into the grass to get ahead of them.

Gilan relays the messages to the group that they have stopped for what seems to be a short rest. It gives him time to look them over as best he can but there is nothing really extra to say. Mostly he just gives them directions though they are getting close enough that they will not need them.

"I'm just gonna go straight in and say hi," Trellus decides. "You dudes spread out, keep an eye out for snake-taurs, and be ready to jump in if everything gets sunbaked."

The cleric speaks the command word activating his boots, and flies over the top of the last grass line to come to a hover about 10' above the refugees. The blond man is resplendant in his silvery rune-marked dark red surcoat, and matching armor and shield.

"Many shadows," he greets with a friendly grin. "I'm Trellus, priest of Domi and sworn guardian of Sargass."
He pauses for a second before observing wryly, "and you dudes look totally lost."

[Diplomacy 19, 22 if they worship Woldian gods, and 26 if they worship Domi]

If someone actually attacks him, the cleric's plan is to fly staight up to get out of melee range.

As Trellus comes into view a number of the people pull back on their bows with arrows trained but no one fires a shot right away. A woman moves forward to look up at him, scarred from several battles and not exactly the best looking of people. "Lost you say...more like running scared and hungry enough to eat a week dead cow." She waves those nearest her to lower their bows as she glares at Trellus with open suspicion. "If you are somekind of protector maybe you can help us out. The alternative is no better than if you stab us in the back so we need to ask." It was obvious that she did not believe a word of it and was being very cautious, which might have saved her charges lives.

Most of them have taken seats on the ground and seem to be very careful with the water they drink from leather bags. They woman settles onto the grass as well and waves to a spot in front of her. "Take a seat or have the rest just kill us now. We are not going back with those snakemen." She does not seem intimidated still and if anything she is weary.

Trellus regards the woman for a moment.
"You're a careful person," he allows. "That's good. Because even without those snake-taurs behind you, the Grass is a dangerous place."

"I'm coming down," he announces aloud[using Message feature of his Mark to also include the pack], and then descends next to the woman. He surveys her and her charges, and returns to her.

"So, here's the pattern. My packmates and I are around here looking for treadles and we run into the tracks you and the snakes have left, and follow them and find you. You've no food and little water. You don't know where you are or where you're going. You're totally new to the Grass. And you got snake-taurs still chasing you."

The cleric pulls out a waterskin and hands it to her.

"Now, we've run into snake-taurs before, and we don't really like them. And you dudes totally look like you need a lot of help. Which we, being shady weavers, are inclined to give you. But it still doesn't explain who you are, or where you came from, or what you plan to do if you somehow manage to survive the next couple of days. And as we are just as careful as you are, I decided to come get the answers to some of those questions."

"So, again. I'm Trellus...." the cleric looks at her expectantly.

Tishe' listens and watches from the protection of the Sargrass while Trellus speaks with the leader of the ragged, wary people. Her hearing and that of Wart is excellent, and her mercurial attention wars between caution and assistance. Without any overt acts of aggression (as opposed to the snake-taurs they just killed), her need to help wins out.

The average-looking woman casts Unseen Servant and then emerges from the Sargrass. Using her Pants O Plenty, she pulls out her bag of candied hoppers, shakes it up, and hands it to the Unseen Servant telling it to offer a piece to each person until there is none left. She takes a piece on her own and munches it. "We've got food and water we can share, if you have a large empty bowl to put the water in. It's not a good idea to have open water on the ground in the Sargrass. We also know of people who can teach you how to survive and prosper in the Sargrass."

She thinks about another way to gain the poor refugee's trust. "And the snake-taurs are feeding the Sargrass insects with thier blood and bones right about now. You don't have to worry about that particular team again."

Yanosh hearing Trellus and Tishe' offering help,Yanosh wraps his ever present scarf around his scarred face and head then pulls his hood up too. Stepping into the open where he can be seen in his Grey robes the Dwarven Cleric of Gargul offers his assistance too. Yanosh casts Create Water up to 5 times and fills the water skins of who ever needs it. Yanosh also offers to share what trail food he has, even as meager as it is. The Cleric offers any healing that maybe needed. "Maybe we should camp with these good people for the night and offer what help we can." Yanosh i careful not to let his scarf or hood slip and show his face or head.

I wonder where these people were headed in such a hurry....we assume they are running blindly...but why were they pursued ....and for what ? Not sure what Snaketaurs eat.....

She had been appraising him it was obvious and finally she nodded her head. "They call me Brea and I am what some call a guardian though I have done very little for my people." It was obvious that she was very upset about that and she was even angrier about something else. Running her hand through her hair she frowned before she sighed.

"There was a conflict inside of Hook City and I don't know exactly what. I was one of maybe fifty that took about one hundred and fifty of the citizens out of the city to wait it out. That was our first mistake as the Sargrass is not a very nice place but we figured to only be there a few days, maybe a week at most. Then there was a large earthquake and I decided we would head back into the city to see if it was safe, but we found no Hook City...it is gone."

She ground her hand into her knee as she said that last bit. But the people around her were busily munching on the supplies that were being offered even as meager as it was. They seemed to be warming to the Bloodpack and it was obvious this also helped with Brea.

"Several of our numbers have been captured by those snake things and I was able to help in the escape with the help of another woman that I don't know. She was new in town some of these folks said. She stayed behind to delay them and we have not seen her or the ten that stayed with her. With Hook City gone I was not sure where to take these people but there is suppose to be a city or town around here in this direction."

That was pretty much all that she knows and she shakes her head sadly though a number of the people speak up about how she has helped them. "We could use your help though if you are truly willing." It was obvious that everyone was tired, hungry and most definitely in need of help.

Falmar listens to what is discussed trying at first to tell if this woman is being genuine.(sense motive=12).

As the discussion continues Falmar's mind wanders as he watches....The heat of the setting sun warms his face as he watches haze rise from the grasses roiling and distorting his vision. The light playing tricks with the heat of the day....as if thousands of small creatures spin and twirl for a short time only to disappear with the setting of the sun. A cool breeze blows and a chill runs through him as she mentions that Hook City has disappeared. Hook city.... The beginning of all he once knew....A home once but never again...

"GONE??!!" Tishe' is stunned. "No magic, no contact, no ruins, nothing??!!" The mystic forgets about the people and thier crisis and is drawn to Brea like a moth to flame. "Madame Brea, I am Tishe' Weaver whose family live in Block 452 of Labor Town, South Bank. As a Protector, you truely know nothing of the whereabouts of Hook City!??"

Getting her composure back, the brown eyed woman has a look of steel purpose in her eye as she begins casting a complicated spell: Summon Monster IV

Arriving on the scene is a glowing ball of light: a Lantern Archon. "You speak in tongues and can teleport yourself without error. Go to my mother, Mara Weaver in Hook City and see if she is all right. Ask for a message for her daughter, Tishe', and return with any message to me within 30 seconds." Tishe' gives the Lantern Archon a lovingly accurate description of her mother before sending the Archon forth.

In using her conjurations for other than fighting, it gives Tishe' another idea. Spontaneously casting Summon Nature Ally V over her Control Winds spell, the druid/mystic conjures up a good Janni. Using the Celestial speech, she asks it to Create Food and Water for the assembled people, thanking the Janni for its service.

"And now, my Lantern Archon should be back", she says in hope and dread. "We'll see just how this is weaving!"

Trellus' face blanches at the revelation that Hook City has disappeared. His first thoughts on how to verify this are quickly cut off as Tishe jumps in with an excellent idea.
"Totally waxed," he approves.

The blond man turns his attention to the next item - Brea's claim that there's a population center nearby.
Gil - You see any towns from up there? he sends out to the druid.

"Gry and Falmar, please keep an eye on our trail. We don't need any nasty surprises right now."

Trellus awaits the reports from both Tishe and Gilan before making his next move.

ooc - how far is this crew from Oddholme - if we had to walk it?

Brea looks to Tishe' and then smiles. "I know your mother. She does some excellent weaving." She did not know Tishe' though but she did know the mother. "I have no idea where the city went. I mean how does a whole city disappear?" As she is talking the archon returns with with a short note addressed to Tishe'

We are fine but Hook City has moved to a new location. They are trying to figure out exactly where right now but it takes a little while as the city was in disarray. That quake kind of made a mess and we have been working to get the city cleaned back up.


The group is soon being taken care of by the Janni as well who lays out a good spread for all the people and they dig into the food with relish. There are many cheers and thanks from the people directed at Tishe' and her group. It seems the Bloodpack has found antoher group of people that see them as more than just the good people they are but saviors as well.

Gilan makes a scouting trip into the air and reports back that he can see nothing in the immediate area but that this might be the direction to that metal domed city that they had been too. Brea confirms that this is where they had been going. "We heard there was a domed city out here that we could get too. Two actually but the one with a metal dome over it could be found and the other is unknown. I also heard that they did not take well to strangers."

There are no signs of pursuit from anywhere behind them but at least two of the snakemen got away and one snake though it was a mouse at the time. It is Brea that speaks up again with a hint of hope. "We could use your help but so could the others that allowed us to escape if they are still alive. Those snake things killed a few for someking of ritual but they also wanted captives."

Relief runs through Tishe' as the Lantern Archon brings back a note. "Mother is OK", she tells her packmates, giving them what (to her) is the most important information. She passes the note around as well so they can see for themselves what is Hook City's situation.

And that Brea knows Mara Weaver and the family is something interesting as well. Tishe' is interested in speaking with the Protector to see how everyone back on the block was doing. But not now, not now.

The brown-haired woman turns to Trellus. "We can't send them off to IronHolme. I bet they'd fit right in to OddHolme. Brea could help Murdock and Vayine start a Protectorpack who takes care of safety and policing up the inside of OddHolme, while the Bloodpack is the external security. Maybe once we find Hook City again, it would be a link for trade and a better life for all the people of OddHolme."

"But first we need to backtrack the snake-taurs and have them stop slaving in this area."

Trellus give Tishe a dubious look.
"If we're close to IronHome, than we're a really long hike from OddHolme. If Brea uses our name, surely Jalian of Ironhome would take them in, at least temporarily. And its the only way I see of getting these dudes to safety and still have time to track down the snake-taurs and find the rest.

Otherwise, even with our spells, its gonna take several days to fly everyone to Oddholme."

Relief......it's truly what Falmar feels he should feel about Hook city still existing...but there's nobody there he feels much of a connection to...Home...where is home ? There aren't many Elves in the sargrass....unless I haven't seen them.....no trees....yet.

Grasping his silver medallion Falmar looks around and takes a deep breath..... I've never broken a commitment in my life....they have all been broken for me....now is not the time to start

Turning to the group conversation Falmar grins as he says..

Maybe we can pick up a boat in IronHome ?

" I'm for getting us all to this IronHome if it's so close. You all need a bath. "

As the others went about eating and drinking their fill of the stuff that had been presented, Brea was listening to the others.

"I don't know how close we are to this IronHolme you mentioned but if this is the iron domes place that was where we were headed. If there is someplace that would be just as easy to get too." She glanced around at her people and shook her head as she wanted to save as many of them as possible. "A few of those with me have a little training and could be useful in a militia. They will follow my orders and we will owe you."

A couple of the older men and women had come over to listen and they were nodding their heads. One of the men speaks up with a grin. "We have an assortment of job talent here as well. A couple of us are farmers, herders, tanners and even a weaver in this bunch. Most of us might not even mind starting over somewhere new if you give us the chance." There were a number of nods as several agreed and many more looked over as if they were willing to give it a try.

Gilan had been flying a circular pattern for some time now over the grass and had went out a good at least four miles. He had been very busy up there as the talks went on and his voice came back to Trellus and the others of the pack. "There is nothing close by that I can see and we are maybe five days from Oddholme. I cannot be sure how far away we are from Ironholme."

Brea nodded her head as the others had spoken up and she smiled. "We really could help you out but we also know that the others need you as well. I know that this might sound bad but I have to look after those that I know are alive and able to be saved. The others might still be okay as well as they were not killing us out of turn."

Trellus nods his head decisively.
"Oddholme it is, then," he declares.

"We're gonna have to escort you there, at least for a few days, to make sure you're heading in the right direction and don't run into more snake-taurs, or worse."
The cleric shakes is head at the thought of a rapke pack finding these dudes.

"Yeah, we definitely need to stick together. In the meantime, can you give us more information on where and when you ran into the snakes and anything else that might help us locate your friends when we come back?"

Tishe' is content with Trellus' plan; the most important part is to take care of the refugees here. "If any were captured by the snake-taurs, they are probably still alive for a while at least. Tomorrow morning, we can send a message to Murdock and Vayine. I know Murdock can Teleport and Vayine is a ranger, so they will be able to escort these people back to OddHolme while we go after any snake-taur survivors."

Falmar realizes that everything seems settled....more or less and sits down and sorts through his pack. He pulls out a set of climbing tools and grins.... when will I EVER use these here ! . AS he organizes he sets out several different strands of grasses he's collected since he first came to the Sargrass....as the sun sets he begins to weave them together in a tight intricate spiral....a begining....

Brea nodded her head and then held out her hand but spit in it first. "It is a deal and you have my word as a guardian that we will help you out. We don't take kindness like this lightly." She was smiling though as she spoke and her head nodded. Glancing around to the ones that she had saved she was glad to know that she would be able to get them to safety, that she had saved them.

The rest of the group was set up for some rest and did not look inclinde to move though it was evident that if it was needed, they would. Talking was being done between the people here and they all seemed more than willing to add their skills to the mix at this new home. Some of them were young couples or younger people that thought it sounded like a good idea. This was a chance for them to get out and prove themselves, to make something of themselves.

As she waited, Brea looked around at her people again. "How soon do you want to leave?" Waiting for that to be answered as well she fell into what she knew that would help them out. "Back the direction that you came from is where we can from. It seemed to be a better idea to run a straight line than anything else out here. We have been traveling like this for a about five days from them. I figured they would be dogging us but we had a head start on them and I was hoping this steel dome was closer than farther." Thinking it over she was not sure what else she could offer that would help them to find her missing people.

With a growl at her own inabilities she shook her head. "We got away and moved through the grass for about three days before they caught up to us and that other lady made a stand against them. Then five more days, so eight days all total and it was almost a straight line that we followed. If you had carrion birds here I would say follow them as they killed about twenty people that one day but then no more." That was about all she could think of that might be helpful unless he had something specific that she might be able to help with.

A young man came over and pulled a necklace over his head, with a frown and much anger. "My betrothed is still back there and she holds the other half to this necklace. Would it help?" You could see that he really wanted to go along but also knew his limitations.

Trellus shakes his head as Brea speaks of carrion birds.
"No, we got Bloodflies," he responds sympathetically. "And if its been five days, there's nothing left....."
He trails off as the man approaches, and is quite glad he didn't say more when he hears the man's story. The cleric accepts the half of the necklace.
"I'm sure it will help," he assures the man. "And if she's out there, we'll find her."

Turning back to Brea.
"We'll stay with you tonight. In the morning, we'll be able to contact our friend Murdock at Oddholme, and he can help you get there. And we can provide some more food and water."

"Tishe, can you get with some of their weavers and teach them the mats pick for the night?" He gives Brea a grin, "I assume you've been introduced to our night life. The mats should help."

Sobering, Trellus gives Brea a quick run down on some of the essentials of travelling through the Grass - types of grass to avoid, no open water, bloodflies, bounders, and rapke. In the blond man's opinion, this crew has been extraordinarily lucky to survive this long, and some more information will up the odds.

As the group settles in, Trellus makes his rounds, and spots Falmar.
"Whatcha weaving?" he asks, curious.

Tishe' nods, going to show the refugees of Hook City how to make mats and of which Grasses to take them from. She takes her time, patiently going over a step again and again until the people get the knack.
