The night is uneventful for all the Bloodpack as well as the group that they have come to help out. Everyone beds down for the night though there are watched sets by Brea herself. Not that she does not trust the Bloodpack just that this is her job and she takes it seriously. In fact she spends a good portion on the night herself standing watch and she seems to be doing just fine.

As morning breaks on the grass, some of the small group is already stirring and they have taken to the lessons they have learned with ease. The newest things taught to them last night also are sticking and they make all preparations to keep themselves safe on the march to this new home. It is easy to read the excitement as well as fear that is present on some of the faces. The unknown can be daunting of course but some of those fears have been lessened by the group as a whole.

As Brea gets breakfast taken care off the group seeming to take all the strange new foods of the grass in stride, they are soon ready to move out. Brea stands by Trellus as the Bloodpacks apparent leader and waits to see what her job will be now, it is apparent that she does not know exactly her role now but she wants the best for her people.

Falmar wakes and spend some time alone in contemplation and study before the group sets out.

As they travel he pulls out his ...project... and begins explaining to Trellus as they travel.

" At the center is the first grass I collected when I arrived at the Sargrass.. very common, easily mistaken for just any grass...surrounding it are blades with more significance. One from when the bounders attacked the boat...One I found in my boot after the Bloodpack found me. This burned set from the death knights we fought. A couple grasses from oddholme . These ones here are from when we met Sargrass with the Manfri after the Ritual. These red ones are stained with the Snaketaurs blood here..and this last one I found yesterday when we caught up with these people. It's blue....I haven't seen any blue grasses around here.... I'm not sure what it will turn out to be.." The entire work fits in the Palm of Falmar's hand and radiates from the center in an expanding spiral.... he slips it into a pocket and shrugs....

Trellus looks on with interest at Falmar's expanding grass spiral.
"Shady," he remarks approvingly. "It'll be interesting to see what that looks like in a year or two!"

In the morning, the cleric studies spells, and then casts several - two of which result in the creation of a lot of grub.
[Create Food and Water- twice - enough food and water to sustain 78 people for 24 hours]

Brea comes over, and Trellus gives Tishe a quick nod.
"See if you can get Murdock".

Brea is looking a bit lost. The blond leader of the Bloodpack does his best to fill her in.
"Murdock is sorta the caretaker of Oddholme. We'll link you with him so he can help get you there while we (indicates the Bloodpack) go after the snaketaurs and your friends. Oddholme is a pretty new town we set up a little while ago. Its got its own council, but I'm sure they'll accept you and your group if you wish to stay. There's a lot of room, and they need a lot of help with just about everything. And if anyone wants to go back to Hook City, they can do that too. Uh, once we find out where it is, of course."

Once Murdock arrives and gets the situation in hand, Trellus' plan is to backtrack the Hooker's path and start looking around.

Tishe' studies and prays for a new assortment of spells (annotated) and is ready to begin her day.

She carefully crafts a note and map to Murdock telling the drow the situation and where the Bloodpack is in the desert. Once done with that, the mystic casts Monster Summoning V and conjures a Hound Archon and gives him the note and map. Taking her time, she tells the summoning to teleport to OddHolme and Murdock, giving descriptions for both. "Give him the letter and map and answer any questions for a minute then return to me and tell me what transpired. Thanks, sweetie!"

Brea nodded her head as she had expected as much from those they were going to see. Of course they could make themselves useful if this council wanted their help but if they didn't they would be willing to move on when the could. Looking over to Trellus she nodded her head. "I understand that and if they don't want or need us, than we will work towards finding a way home as well." She did not want to be pushy but she also did not want them to think that they needed to be totally responsible.

The hound archon was soon gone back to OddHolme to search out Murdock and after a time it returned with a very interested Murdock in tow. He steps forward with a raised eyebrow as she takes in the group. "These the ones that need safety and might be able to help us?" Of course he was really interested as he let his hood slip back to reveal his dark elf features.

Brea did not seem to be bothered at all by the fact and she stepped forward to offer her hand to him. "My name is Brea and these people are following me since we came into the grass. We would like to at least seek shelter with you in your home and if you agree we would like to help out." She looks around to those that have been following her and they nod heads as well. A few murmurs of approval as well and votes of confidence.

Murdock had taken the hand and shook it as he smiled. "Then I will make preparations to take the group home and we shall see what the council has to say." The group started to get themselves ready even further and the excitement was slightly contagious as they moved around. There were hugs and handshakes given to the Bloodpack by almost everyone that could get to them.

Tishe' is quite happy that Trellus and now Murdock is in charge. Now, she can concentrate on the task of back-tracking the snaketaurs and, oooh!, that looks like a new kind of SweetGrass!

She goes to investigate the side of the clearing, talking animatedly to Wart, the sleepy horned toad.

Yanosh quietly fallows the group as they make their way back to Oddholme. Once there he takes time to check his things and clean up some. When all is in order he waits untill everyone is ready to leave again.

Falmar reaches into his pack and pulls out a box of scented soaps he vaguely remembers fishing for from a tree...or was it....He actually doesn't remember exactly where he got it but he remembers Tishe' and Yanosh were there....and someone expecting a child....

He presents it to Brea,

" You should have this, it's not much but it may bring some of your people a bit of comfort. "

Falmar packs up and appears shuttlecocked and ready to Walk.

Trellus is quite confident that Brea's group will be more than welcome at Oddholme, and he does his best to convey that to everyone he sees.
"The whole point of Oddholme is a fresh start," he notes.

Murdock arrives, and the refugees are off to their (hopefully) new home.

Time to get to work.
"Ok, dudes," he declares to his packmates as he turns toward the backtrail. Let's weave. Gilan, please scout ahead, and if anyone has any ideas how or where we can find these snaketaurs, speak up."

The blond man dives into the Grass, ready for the next adventure.

Brea takes the present from Falmar and then quirks an eyebrow but does smile at the gesture. When she actually smells it she realizes the scents from home and nods her head. "Thank you, this will make them feel better...a smell from home." Murdock had been setting things up that would be able to get them back to OddHolme.

A sparkle and closing of a circle left a magical ring that would allow them to transport straight there. With a glance to the rest, as well as the pack...he nods his head. "Please cross onto the circle and prepare yourselves." The whole group slowly start to enter the circle and one by one the disappear to OddHolme.

Murdock moves to stand near the Bloodpack and claps Trellus on the shoulder. "You going to have more?" He does not seem bothered just asking as things would be shaping up if this group had talents needed. Once he fings out what he needs from the pack and if they have anything else that needs done he moves into the circle himself and it disappears.

The Bloodpack is then ready to take back to the grasses on a new hunt. There are people that need their help.

Tishe' gives Murdock a sisterly hug, and then moves to her usual place in the center of the Bloodpack movement. She watches as Gilan transforms and moves out, then assists by returning to the snaketaur battle and beginning to backtrack the treadles' trail.

Wart takes advantage of the sun and easy pace to sprawl on Tishe's shoulder and relax.

The backtracking is easy enough with the ranthom path to follow along till you get to the area that you fought in. Though there are no bodies left, there are odd bits and pieces that were not edible for the bloodflies or anything else that came out. You have the general direction that the enemy had come from and that would seem to be your best bet as you start in that direction.

The going is still slow though as the grass this direction is regular and tall, impeding those that are not magically aided. The going is slow to say the least but three hours into the travel, you are starting to get hungry. You have not found anything to help you out yet in finding these lost people that are being held as hostages or slaves.

Falmar tries to keep alert as he scans the Sargrass for signs of life. His Raven soars and glides through the air above apparently unconcerned with the slow goings below. Just surviving and getting where you are going is challenge enough here. Falmar inhales the fresh scents of the grassland as he plods along....vaguely remembering a conversation about a boat...

" With Hook City gone where are we going to find a boat ! Warped is what this is ! Warped !

As they stop to look around in the battle site Yanosh picks up peices of bones from the SnakeTaurs. He looks for a skull if one is to be found. Once he has what he is looking for Yanosh dives back into the Grass following his 'Packmates. He approaches Trellus when they stop for lunch. "Trellus think we can find the Snakes using these?" he asks showing him the bones he collected.

While light is available, Tishe' is all for continuing the tracking, eating and drinking while walking, and pushing on.

When evening gets too close, she looks for a suitable campsite that is near PodGrass and away from any dangers. She will enclose thier little campsite in an Alarm spell for anything bigger than a Bounder and not the Bloodpack that crosses the line. She also casts Prying Eyes setting the magical eyes in a circle a 1/4 mile around the camp with instructions to return and report if they see any Medium sized animal approaching the camp.

"Druidwood boats were at more places than Hook City", she tells Falmar. "Maybe IronHome would want to have trade with us, and there are the odd trader we could get to stop by OddHolme." The little woman is confident that everything will turn out all right in the end!

Trellus is not quite following the conversation about boats.
"Boats for us, or boats for the Hook dudes?" he asks Falmar, and then continues. "I got spells to get us around in a hurry if we need to, but it'd be real easy to miss something if we go too fast. And I'm sure Murdock and the folks at OddHolme will be able to find Hook City. They'll be shady in a few days."

The cleric takes the bones from Yanosh. "Not enough left for me to speak to," he muses. "But maybe a divination will help. I'll see if Domi is awake in the morning." He grins at his minor irreverance, confident enough that The Protector has a sense of humor to make the jest.

Tishe goes about preparing a site, and Trellus helps out as best he can.

With the thoughts of a place to camp heavy on the minds of the pack, they start their preparations. The area is soon cleared good enough that the group will be able to sleep well enough on their grassmats. There is talk of a boat, that had been brought up before Trellus joined back up with the group so he is not totally up with what is being stated.

Food is fixed for the entire group from grasses and insects that are ever bountiful here in the the grass. As some plans are talked about on how to find their way to those that need them, everything is just quiet. Not that quiet that spells trouble but just that type of quiet that you want so that you can just relax without worry.

Gilan brings it to Trellus's and everyone elses' attention that he has a spell that will also aid them. He can commune with the grass in the morning and see where large locations of humanoids are at in the grass. Between that and the other spells they should surely be able to figure out their path.

At least for now the group is able to take a small break and just enjoy a little peace. It of course does not make it easier knowing that someone is out there in trouble, but it eases things slightly. Making it easier to do what must be done.

During the midnight watch (the watch Yanosh usually takes) Yanosh rolls the bones of the Snakemen that he found. Looking up into the stars Yanosh thinks of his family and what he would do if his were in trouble. "We must find Hook City and all of those that are lost in the Sargrass." Yanosh begans his nightly prayers. Preparing for the comming day.

Once is watch is over he wakes the next one and crawls onto his mat to sleep. In the morning Yanosh wakes invigorated and ready for the adventers that await them. As always he is up with the dawn for his morning prayers and a small breakfast.

Falmar helps make camp and explains to Trellus about the "boat".
"When we are all together moving quickly isn't a problem, but when one of us is off taking care of their own issues , Traveling through the grasses....well....eats grass.. We could cover a great distance and also transport others if we had a boat or two. We also wouldn't leave a trace or disturb the flow of the grasses.

The sun is up bright and early but some of the pack is up even earlier than that. They need to find these snakemen and those prisoners before they either leave or they are all dead. Breakfast is the first order of business for some while other go about their morning prayers. It is obvious that a number of different spells are going to be cast or most likely to work on finding them.

Since the night had been unusually quiet for the Bloodpack, there was a good amount of rest for all of them and they are all refreshed.

Silently Yanosh strings a crude necklace made from the bones of the snakemen.with his morning prayers he readies his spells for the day. Once his spells are ready he casts Endure Elements on himself as he does every morning before the sun rises and the plains heat up.
Yanosh watches the camp awake as he finishes hs meager breakfast. With his Axe and his seldom seen short sword sharpened Yanosh checks his armor and shield. Once done Yanosh readies himself for travel.

Trellus gives Falmar an apologetic shrug.
"We've thought of boats before. But they're freakishly expensive, at least at Rattledam anyway. Maybe we would have more luck at Hook City."

He rises. "But first, we gotta find us some kidnappees."

Like Yanosh (and practically all his other packmates), the cleric spends some quiet time praying for spells. And then spends a couple more minutes casting protections on himself [Endure Elements, Magic Vestment on his armor, and Magic Vestment on his shield with his Pearl of Power].

While Gilan casts a spell to see if the very grass can help them, Trellus goes to the Big Man.
The blond man sits crosslegged, staring at a small silver hammer held between his two hands, and chants softly, seeking guidance from his patron.

Falmar stretches and dances through form after form, limbering up his body after a morning of prayer and contemplation. Watching the sun rise over the flat plains he follows the curve of the horizon in the distance...wondering how the Manfri travel and how they navigate the grasses.. Thinking about boats he recalls talk of Walkers floating across the plains.....but he hasn't seen one yet....
Where does the driftwood come from ?....how long ago did those trees die ?...

Falmar pulls out the weaving he started and loops to loosely to the chain holding the crossed swords of Domi. He tucks them both safely beneath his surcoat and starts cleaning up their camp
