Valanthe AC 32/ 25 vs intangible HP 122 / 122, Light Fortifacation Friday May 7th, 2010 8:02:59 AM
"I just got caught up myself. During the last great migration I was transported to this small village somewhere far from here. Down on the southern continent I believe. There was this horde of undead swarming this village. While I did my best to keep the undead back I discovered the source was a necromancer. He built this strange machine. The likes of which I have never seen. As I smashed the thing, which in hindsight probably wasn't the best idea, it exploded. The necromancer was trasformed into a wraith and hardened me into a more efficient killing machine. While I was involved with that they ran into the sons of dread again. What's really interesting is that the sons of dread had something new, warrior liches. After examining the shields and weapons it was determined they were made in Izen. There was only one person thought to be able to create such undead. Some master necromancer that's attacked Dirt City twice. What also came up is that there are refugees fleeing Aisildur and the idea was brought up to help these people. A very noble idea. Much like we did before. I remember lots of people and then being shipwrecked on an island of deadly natives where we intended to build houses. I was just pointing out how dangerous it will probably be. All of us that destroyed the heartseed tree have went to ground so to speak. Away from Aisildur and Ga'al. There is no way he's forgotten what we did. If we go and help the refugees Ga'al will find us. Which means dark priests, quads, and heartseeds. Yeah maybe we slowed down the growth of heartseeds but there is no way we stopped it. Before we can really do anything you'll have to speak with Bardamion. We are more or less employed by his mother. I'm sure he'll be able to explain all of that better than I could. Either way anything we plan on doing will be quite dangerous. "

Moderate Fortification, AC 27, 92/92 hp Malgant Friday May 7th, 2010 8:28:57 PM
For Malgant, the night passes, stories are told and old friendships are rekindled. He and Gorenthall talk and drink deep into the night and then part headed back to their separate lives that cross only when they are together. Gorenthall is a sworn defender of The Temple and Malgant an adventuring protector of those who cannot defend themselves. Malgant reenters the Mangled Centaur and heads up to the private room held by Bardamion for the group. Finding none of his friends there he stores his weapons and heads down to the common room, which is still busy even at this hour. Spotting his friends at a table across the room he is at first struck by the woman sitting with them. Is she green? He has been drinking and is not entirely sure. He crosses the room and pulls up a chair next to Val. He isn't worried since all of those around the table seem to be at ease with one another. If something were wrong he should be able to see it in their posture. "Who's your friend?" He asks as he pulls up a chair." My name is Malgant. Are you green? I have been out to a few of the other bars in town, catching up with friends. I just wanted to be sure it was you and not me." He offers to the newcomer as he sits down.

Valanthe hooks an arm around Malgants and slides closer. "Sorry I didn't get to go meet your friend with you. This is my sister Ashira. She was part of the pirate crew with Appolo and myself that fought the war with Ga'al. Despite the apparent softness from an easy life I assure you she is still quite deadly with her blades. A few morning of combat drills with yours truly and she'll be back in top form. Sons of Dread or priests of Ga'al, she will be an asset to have around. Not to mention that if we get involved with ga'al she'll be able to call in a few favors with the pirates if need be. Not that they don't owe us big time for what we pulled off."
Valanthe turns to Ashira with that look saying 'I'll answer all your questions later'. She knew that Ashira would probably be just a little curious as to how she got involved with a minotaur but that was something for a proper place and time. That is if Vauhwyt or Vorelle didn't tell her everything first.
Moderate Fortification, AC 27, 92/92 hp Malgant Saturday May 8th, 2010 10:14:30 PM "But Val," Malgant attempts to whisper. His breath smells of enough alcohol to light a room and Val could probably get a buzz just sitting next to him."She is green, right? I knew I shouldn't have let him dare me into those dwarven spirits. There are some things meant for drinking and there are some things meant to etch metal. Spirits are for metal. Now I must be hallucinating." Malgant keeps rubbing his eyes but Ashira continues to have a green complexion. The minotaur sighs and gives up.

Vauhwyt and Mookie (Detect Scrying) Saturday May 8th, 2010 10:59:26 PM
Vauhwyt looks around the table. She smiles thinking about each one in turn, because each one has been through a lot at one time or another. They have each one been damaged or hurt. Each one has moved past their history.
Vauhwyt has known Vorelle the longest. She knew Vauhwyt before the liontaur could even cast spells. She's been through a lot. Bad relationships. Just as bad family. And that Targo! The less thought about him, the better. Vauhwyt supresses a shudder. She redirects her thoughts. That stutter that plagued her for so long. But look at her now! So confident. But still always thinking about others. A hero.
And Vauhwyt has known Ashira nearly as long. And what she has been through! Vauhwyt is not exactly clear on the details, but she was captured and put to the test by the Ga'alites. She suffered for that. And now she honors Gargul too, doesn't she? Vauhwyt recalls talking to her once about the unique solace that The Lady can offer. Maybe someday soon she'll have a chance at another private talk.
Valanthe seems more confident these days too. Her relationship with Mal seems to be grounding her. The liontaur thinks they are good for each other, sure, but Mal is good for her. Something strange happened to her in the past, some fey thing. And she came through her own solo trials recently with a real sense of victory, Vauwhyt thinks. Changed, but victorious. That's good too. She has fought for and earned all she has.
Malgant. A genuine hero. He reminds her of Valdor Dragonstone, though she wouldn't say that to him. It would make him uneasy. Modest, thinking of others. But he had a shadow on his past too, one he recently resolved here in the Taur Isles. He earned back his honor. Though Vauhwyt thinks he never really lost it.
And Appolo. The devil-may-care rogue of the group. The wild one. The crazy one. Every group has one -- like Madjack was, before his soul got lost in Koshe Marr. Appolo makes Vauhwyt laugh, and Lem knows he's good in a fight. But what made him wild? Was he always that way? Ashira would know. Maybe she'll ask her some day.
Vauhwyt thinks about the ones who are not here. Her sister liontaur, Aztyr. The new ones, Uel and Whysper. They should be here too.
Vauhwyt gets up to go look for the missing members of the team. She hopes she will find them quickly, and bring them back for this excellent gathering.
Whysper (AC 23 - HP 48+20/48) d20+17=29 ; d20+17=19 ; Sunday May 9th, 2010 1:11:43 AM
Whysper casually makes her way down to the bar area, having spent enough time in the private rooms. She sees the group gathering at a table, and decides to pull up a seat. She quickly notices the newcomer to the group, but for the time being, waits for introductions. Is this a new travelling companion, or merely someone Appolo wants to "get to know better"?
She keeps her eyes and ears open for anything that may be of interest
