Vorelle agrees with Malgant to kept it simple, and Appolo for keeping together. Aztyr opt for magically kicking the door in. Avalanthe agrees with the direct approach, nothing fancy.
Accepting the group's majority, Vauhwyt starts planing accordingly. Appolo gives a few suggestions, which Vauhwyt likes, but reminds him of what happened last time to Vorelle. Malgant agrees with Applolo's plan to send summoned creatures down different tunnels

Okay, taking what we have talked about in terms of creating a distraction, kicking in the door, using waves of summoned creatures, here is what I suggest.
1. In the morning we cast our long-term spells. The ones that last for hours.
2. Twenty minutes after that, and about every twenty to thirty minutes thereafter, we roll a six-sided die. On a roll of 1, we GO. This way, even we don't know when exactly we will attack, so the enemy can't know by spying or divining.
3. We cast our buffs. Those include the usuals plus ... -- Owl's Wis for Mal, so he can better cast Hide from Undead on me, Mookie, Aztyr, and himself. Resist Fear spells are important too. I urge Mal to cast a Deeper Darkness beforehand too, on something he can throw away if need be. -- In addition to my usuals, I'll cast Sum Monster IV before we teleport to summon a lantern archon. I'll also read my Locate Creature scroll. -- Aztyr has See Invis, Shield, Mirror Image, etc to cast.
4. We teleport. I bring three people with: Vorelle, Appolo, and my archon. Aztyr brings three people with: Mal (counts as two) and Val.
5. In the darkness, Aztyr and Mal (Summoning Team) start summoning waves of monsters. They are to go into all six tunnels. I suggest that among you send at least six lantern archons because with their telepathy, they can report back from inside each tunnel what they find, and they can Aid other summoned creatures.
6. I get a fix with the Locate Creature spell, if possible. Then I take Vorelle, Val, and Appolo, and my archon (Strike Team) into the Realm of Shadows. Vorelle, Val, and Appolo have the job of fighting any undead / spirits / howlers there. Vauhwyt's job is to find the girls. The archon will use its telepathy to coordinate us all and make sure no one gets lost.
7. Improvise! Maybe we find the girls, shift out of the shadows, send a telepathic message to Aztyr and Mal via archon, and teleport out. Or go back into the shadows with the girls and escape that way. Or we find the right passage, and everybody converges on it. Or we hit hard, see how it goes, and retreat as needed. We can always try again tomorrow.
8. One hitch -- it sure would be nice for the Strike Team to be able to communicate with Summoning Team while in the Realm of Shadows. Would this work? Arrive via Teleport. Mal or Aztyr summons a bunch of Lantern Archons or a single Hound Archon. Let that archon know Vauhwyt. Then the Strike Team enters the shadows. From the Shadows, Vauhwyt casts Blink. Then she is blinking back and forth between planes. When she is material, she ESPs to the one archon. When she is shadowy, she ESPs to the other. That way she can talk with both teams. Does that make sense? Could it work?

Since Vauhwyt has always used message to link the group's communications, he suggests she do it again, at least it will work until they exceed the range. Malgant will not be summoning more than 1 thing for the fight, a planar ally, hopefully an astral deva devoted to Imod and the ethos of protection. He will rely on Aztyr for all other summons. He will ward each of the tunnels with a glyph, which will trigger if the word "courage" is not uttered before passing the glyph. He will place them at the mouth of each of the tunnels. He and Aztyr will set up an anchor point and defend it against all comers, with the help of Malgant's planar ally. He will ward them as best he can against fear and consecrate the ground on which he fights provided there is enough time. He will hide them from undead and pray that they can find the girls while he and Aztyr hold the line. If all of this is acceptable, he will retire for the night, most of is preparations will be in the morning.

OOC like soap on a rope, but more destructive. As for the consecrate, it will deny any undead advantages they may have gotten from home turf. It is also maximum invasion of his space like you wanted. Hopefully it will focus the attention of the defenders on myself and Aztyr and allow you more search and retrieve time. I want to change one spell though, I don't want teleport as our only escape plan. Is that ok Glenn? I want to remove a heal for a wind walk. Cast early it gives us another escape option, even if it will take a few rounds to make work.

This powerful inscription harms those who enter, pass, or open the warded area or object. A glyph of warding can guard a bridge or passage, ward a portal, trap a chest or box, and so on. Glyphs don't PREVENT anything. They cause bad things to happen when you open, pass, or enter an area or object. If you want to say it won't work that's OK, and I'll reselect my spells, because I know for a fact we aren't getting 60 minutes of alone time out there. but warding an item so that when it is bassed should work, especially if I place it across an opening.

In the morning, after taking off her armor, Vauhwyt casts her long-duration spells: Detect Scrying first thing, as always. Then Extended Greater Magic Weapon on her armor spikes. Extended Greater Magic Weapon on Mal's weapon. False Life (1d10+10 hp = +xx) on herself, shared with Mookie.
Then she casts her Nemesis Insight spell on herself (shared with Mookie), Val, Vorelle, and Appolo. It lasts 13 hours and gives a +6 vs Dul and +3 vs his allies / members of his group, as our kindly DM allows.
From the spell description: You gain an insight bonus on attacks, spell DCs, and poison DCs when attacking members of a particular set of people who are the object of your current revenge. The set could be a tribe, race, organization, guild, or other clearly definable group -- as approved by the DM. The focus of the spell is a lock of hair or drop of blood from a member of the group. The bonus is doubled against the particular individual from whom the hair or blood was taken. The amount of the bonus is +1 per four caster levels (maximum +5).
I'm hoping that the owl feather Vauhwyt found on Oct 1 will serve for the spell focus. If not, let me know, and I won't waste the spell slots -- or at least, not more than one slot if the first casting fails.
Hopefully Mal will cast his spell to put an enhancement bonus on her mithril buckler.
Then we roll a die every 20 minutes to decide exactly when to go. After the six comes up on the die, we cast our short-term buffs.
Vauhwyt casts, in order: Alter Self (on Mookie, to give him monkey form), Heroism (shared with Mookie), Heroism on Vorelle, Val, and Appolo, Expeditious Retreat, Locate Creature (from scroll), Summon Monster IV (to call her friend Ark the Archon), and Teleport.
She quickly explains the mission to Ark: "We're going to rescue my girls from kidnappers. First, cast Aid on my friends. As soon as we teleport, stay hidden in my backpack and keep in telepathic contact with as many of us here as you can. Also cast Aid on me and keep doing so each round if you are not doing anything else."
She coordinates with Aztyr so that the group arrives together. Vauhwyt's Teleport is shared with Mookie and allows her to bring four medium size passengers: She brings Appolo, Vorelle, Val, and Ark. That leaves Aztyr to bring Mal (counts as two), the planar ally that Mal mentioned, and any summoned monster she or Mal has summoned.
These nine spells need arcane fail checks, since she has her armor on to cast them: d100=51 ; d100=71 ; d100=84 ; d100=46 ; d100=47 ; d100=27 ; d100=27 ; d100=55 ; d100=3
Oh Noes! The very last spell she cast, the teleport, fails when she accidentally snags a hand on an armor spike! She has to try again: d100=21. That's okay. But what about error in casting the teleport: her "on target" check is a 53, so that's okay too. However, she may have arrived a round after Aztyr? Depends on whether she was waiting for Vauhwyt to cast her spell before casting it herself.
For two rounds before the teleport, Ark casts Aid on Vorelle and Val. After the teleport, Ark casts Aid on Appolo and then hides in Vauhwyt's backpack.

Calling upon a planner ally, Malgant convinces the Astral Deva to help without charge for one hour in rescuing and returning 5 children home. (ooc: Note I am treating the Astral Deva as an NPC. You should post its action, but I may override it if I think it would behave differently. )
Aztyr cast her spells and takes on the appearance of an ancient armored Liontaur Shaman.
Vauhwyt prepares her magic of ritual revenge (ooc: yes the feather can serve as Nemesis Insight, but the spell's range is personal, so It's only good for you {& share with Mookie}) . Casting the remainder of her prep spells. The Liontaur calls upon Ark, the Archon declines hiding in the backpack since technically it is a demiplane in there and it can't communicate across plane boundaries, "The connection fees are out of this world!, Also I'm not telepathic."
Having a little trouble Vauhwyt teleports to the outside the cave where they did before. Bringing Appolo, Vorelle, Val, and Ark. They arrive just after Aztyr, Mal and friends.

Wowsy! You are right about the Nemesis Insight! I have edited the spell's effect from "Creature Touched" to "You." Sorry, and thanks for keeping me honest.
Also, did Mal want to cast any other spells? I was really hoping for Owls Wisdom on himself, Hide from Undead on me and Mookie (one creature per level, I think), and Magic Armor on my Shield, per our standing dealio. Also, why not Summon Monster 5 or 6 and teleport it in with Aztyr, like I'm doing with Ark the Archon? Maybe something that can keep us in touch with telepathy, like my Archon.
These are just suggestions. I also suggest deeper darkness if you do not intend to attack or move.
Oh, and one more spell from Vauhwyt, per Mal's suggestion. Hope this is okay: Message to let us whisper to each other too, so long as we're in range. Arcane Spell Fail on that: 36 = A-OK.

She explains that she wants to stay hidden as long as possible. If he can hide in her shadow, and/or dim his light down enough to be hidden, then fine. Otherwise, she hopes he'll consider the backpack. The lives of five innocent children are at stake, and it would be a shame if his glow gave them away.

OOC: Vauhwyt check the last post, the magic vestment is there. OOC: Due to Computer Problems, Malgant is backing up a couple moments to just before the teleport, to finalize the spells cast.

As Malgant, the Diva and Aztyr arrive, she looks a bit stunned that Vauhwyt fails to arrive, hoping they didn't get lost, but willing to give it a few moments before they bail from the mission. She casts Shield on herself, channeling it through the Rod of Lessor Extend. (28 minutes Duration)

Round 0: - Aztyr teleports. - Mal casts Spell Immunity - Vauhwyt tries and fails. - Archon casts Aid on Vorelle (+3 temp hit points). - Mookie tries to read scroll of invisibility: UMD 18 = fails to emulate 12 Int.
Round 1: - Aztyr (per post above, if I understand correctly) casts Shield - Mal casts Helping Hand - Vauhwyt teleports successfully. - Archon casts Aid on Appolo (+9 temp hit points). - Mookie tries to read scroll of invisibility: UMD 19 = fails to emulate 12 Int.
One more action for Vauhwyt for the round of arrival, requiring no action: Uses Locate Creature to see if she senses Hope.
Future planning: Next round she plans to draw Vorelle, Val, Appolo, Mookie, and the Archon into the Realm of Shadows. That means a DC20 Will save to avoid 1d6 Con damage. That will take a DC20 concentration check for Vauhwyt to pull off, but since her Concentration modifier is a +22, no problem. If you do not want to come, Appolo, Val, or Vorelle, now's the time to say no thanks!

Val is concerned if they have the right place or if their foes have moved. Vorelle looks for signs in the tracks, She can see the signs left by the scout part's first trip here, but no other signs of anyone passing this way. If they use sentries they don't leave tracks.
The Diva follows Mal's request to cast Remove Fear on everyone.
Ark promises to say hidden.
Vauhwyt's attempt to locate one of the girls seems to work indicating a direction into the mountain through the entry cavern and slightly to the right.
The large entry cavern dosn't seem to have changed since you scouted it, it's still large rough natual looking with worked stone at the back where size tunnels each 5ft wide and 10ft high head deeper into the mountain.
How joins Vauhwyt for a trip into the shadow realm?

Malgant asks the Diva to cast Aid on Malgant, Aztyr and it'self. (taking 3 rounds to complete) Malgant casts Invisability Purge on himself. (70' radius, duration 140 rounds) (round 1) He casts Entropic Shield on himself. ( 20% miss chance ranged attacks, 140 rounds)(round 2) Malgant will Tell Aztyr to send her Summons in to trip any alarms. As Vauhwyt prepares to take her strike group into the shadows to penetrate the mountains defenses, Malgant locks eyes with Valanthe 'Be careful, stay safe,I love you' all are passed with that momentary gaze. He dares not stop his casting to consecrate the ground, though he knows full well that his chance of finishing the prayer are slim once the assault eventually starts. Malgant is in S42. This will be the center of the consecrated area. That way we have the single path to fall back to that will slow the undead we expect down a little. He asks the Deva to stay close enough to him and Aztyr to provide them benefit from his aura once the fighting starts. He has also told the Deva( what is its name anyway?) that all of the opponents he expects to face will be aligned in some way other than good so a holy word should cause them great harm. He and Aztyr are both of good alignment, but the Deva would have already left if we were not.

OOC Also, I am able to post again. my computer has been liberated from the forces that held it captive. Also I returned to work this past week and promptly found out I was not ready, so I am back out on disability. Standing around doesn't sound too hard until you try to do it with multiple rib fractures on concrete for 8 hours a day. Yeah. Who knew.

Aztyr is in Q44. To the Archon Hounds she says,"Aid yourselves if you haven't them please split up and go down those tunnels over there. We are looking for 5 hatchlings that our friend was raising as her own. The other's are going to be searching for them, but Myself and Malgant are trying to attract attention, bringing them to us, and allowing the others to get in undetected." She then begins to cast her long term spell as well. She starts casting Mordenkainen's Private Scantum. (casting time 10 minutes)
