A massive, black haired, middle aged, scar and tattoo covered minotaur rounds the corner just east of the party. His horns are covered in carved sea life and minotaur maiden motifs. The ruddy skinned and road worn taur looks right, then left, and you notice his left ear and tail are missing. As he turns, you notice the hilt of a kukri tucked behind his pack and a small falchion just over one shoulder. This taur looks familiar some how to some of you. But it couldn't be, the rumors were he died and some say he went back to sea. Then you see the very obvious symbol of the Chosen emblazoned on his mithril shirt, Domi's Chosen (symbol of Domi superimposed over the ancient Woldian symbol which means 'Chosen' ). Trailing behind him, a medium to large sized mound of fur and gear that is suspiciously shaped like a bear with a loaded pack saddle. He glares at the fighting group and unable to determine what exactly is going on, be folds his arms, smirks and leans against the corner of a nearby building. He eyes the non-taur fighters as if sizing them up.

OOC: A grim gains a different kind of Darkwalking at every even level. At level 2, a grim can Darkwalk (Partial). At level 4, Darkwalk (Ethereal). At level 6, Darkwalk (Incorporeal). At level 8, Darkwalk (Teleport). At level 10, Darkwalk (Plane Shift).
Each of these has a different use, and even if you have access to the higher level Darkwalks, you still may choose to use a Darkwalk from a lesser level.
When Vauhwyt uses the Ethereal Darkwalk, she cannot affect the Wold. She is on the Realm of Shadows Plane. She can look into the Wold, but not affect anyone in it.
For this battle, she is using the Partial Darkwalk. She is a little bit in the Realm of Shadows, which means that although she remains in the Wold, she gains concealment, a 20% miss chance, a +2 resistance bonus to saves, and a +8 bonus to Stealth checks. Note that she is NOT using the Incorporeal Darkwalk because she is only a 4th level Grim.

Her lucky armor spikes are running at a +2 this round. Her two primary attacks are at +27/+27, and her secondary attack is at +23. Her paws are at +23/+23. Thanks to flanking, all attacks are sneak attacks. Her damage is +1 str +3 enh +2 luck (spikes only) +3 arcane strike

Malgant thinks to the group, " On it, you deal with crisping the critters, everyone get clear of the pile so Aztyr can fire it. I do NOT need one of them teleporting back to long tall and undead guy and ruining the surprise we have planned." Turning to the Minotaur, Malgant allows the symbol of Imod on his shield to rest in front of him, leaving no question of his loyalties to the newcomer. He also takes in the symbol of Imod worn by the new Taur and his heart rises a few degrees of happiness. He addresses the newcomer in Minotaur, since not all of his people speak the common tongue. " Ho friend, stand back a moment while these demons are sent to their final reward in the Abyss. A cleansing flame is needed to finish the job and Aztyr wields it with a heavy hand at times. My name Is Malgant and I serve Imod as a Protector. We are on a dire mission to help save the Temple of Imod and Imod City from a growing orb of darkness that consumes all it touches. These Demons were impersonating us and attacking those we call friends to make it more difficult for us to gain aid in this mission. Who are you and how do you come to wear not only Iomd's symbol but be one of his Chosen as well?" Malgant's tone is on the friendly side of neutral. Yes, the new Minotaur wears the trappings of one of Imod's chosen, but the lookalike that Malgant just defeated does too. While Malgant talks, the Deva finishes heaping the corpses in a pile for Aztyr to burn. She then drops from the sky at Malgant's side, and tucks her wings behind her, finished with fighting for the moment.
Malgant's Description This black hided Minotaur stands nearly ten feet tall. Scars crisscross his well muscled body. Deep red armor, the color of dried blood, sheathes his form and protects it from harm. A shield, obviously crafted to match the armor and emblazoned with Imod's mark and made of the same Mithril rides on his left arm. A bastard sword, crackling with flames burns in his right hand. Huge black feathered wings adorn his back.

If the corpses where dragged to the edge of town, Aztyr will delite in casting a Fireball on them to make them crispy critters. If they are dragged into a pile where they are, she'll just use scortching ray, with 1 ray apiece on the Large bodies. Also, did the disguise get dispelled when they died?

Vauwhyt uses a detect magic cantrip to separate the loot from the corpses, then helps pile them up for the pyre.
Then she gets out a Vision scroll and thinks about how to word it to best effect.

With Vauwhyt dispatching the last of the foes, the heroes have finish off the impostors in the first step of their plan. Their battle have drawn the attention of a Minotaur warrior.
Mal speaks with the new comer as the others recover any useful items and dispose of the bodies which despite being dead still maintain the false appearance of the PCs.
Vauwhyt's spell not only helps identify any magic items, but the location of the teleportation circle in the back ally used by the foes.

Valanthe, a maiden wrapped in mithril. Red full plate with black trim. A vision of elegance and beauty combined with strength and power. A matching plumed helm covers her head. The jet black skin and one green / one gold eye clearly visible through it. She carries a heavy metal shield on her left arm, adorned with the symbol of Gargul. Her right hand holds a massive warhammer that seems weightless in her hand.

She turns her gaze over to the stranger who seemed to like watching too much. The halfling girl was more inconspicuous and she was an agent of evil. This minotaur could be as well. Her hard eyes never waver and she takes a few steps forward. Ready to act should the stranger prove to be a threat.

Once Aztyr burns the disguised Ogre-Magi with Scorching Ray (1 ray to each corpse) She'll settle in behind Malgant. As always she'll be ready to either cast to flee or cast to disintegrate, which ever she thinks is appropiate if it becomes needed.
Aztyr appears to be a middle-aged Liontaur, wearing a breastplate, with a symbol of Alemi eblazoned on the front of it. She carries a staff in her left hand, at her waist is a sort of quiver with various rods and wands in it. On her back appears to be a shield, also marked with Alemi's holy symbol on it.
(I'll give an actual appearance once she decides you are a friendly.)

Brahmah looks at Malgant. In tauric. "Because I was Chosen and remain Chosen. I'm Brahmah." The ranger looks at the group in turn. I've been traveling for two years and simply wandered to town. Just got in in fact. Maybe I was brought here. Maybe Domi in his wisdom thought it best.
"Clearly you all have suffered to deceivers and I wouldn't expect trust to be given to me." He looks back at Malgant. "Do you speak for your friend? Are you their leader?" He's not being confrontive or hostile in any way, it is a genuine question. You can see it in his dark eyes.
Seeing the doubt among the party, Brahmah says very openly. If you like, you may cast any spell or use any means you like to determine if I am also one of these liars. I will not resist. But I would also like to point out, that by the looks of it... He looks at the carnage in the street. ... if I WERE one of these, I would not have wasted my time waiting for my friends to die just to round the corner and begin conversation and likely ended up dead anyway. He smiles widely. "Do what you will." He spreads his arms wide and openly to show no ill will.

Vauhwyt, who had been occupied with loot and fire, turns around and stares at the newcomer when he says his name. With her mouth agape, she stares.
"Is it possible?" she asks. "How many Brahmahs could there be?"
With her still-active Detect Magic, she looks the minotaur over, examining his skin. "He's got four of them, all right," she says. "It's possible."
She looks him up and down and comes to a realization.
"I know you!" the liontaur declares. "I didn't even know you were still alive. If Mordenkainen or Bill Troublefinder or Renik D'Acour came to life and stood in front of me, I would not be more surprised," she exclaims. "All those years working in the Catacombs taught me something about the inventors of the Wold's magic!"
"This is Brahmah -- THE Brahmah -- who created Brahmah's Tattoos!" she tells her friends. "Aztyrr, look! You have three of them yourself!" She points to her friend's arms.
Vauhwyt, a slim, short liontaur with big paws and spiked armor (and currently reduced to half normal size), bows to the minotaur. "Sirr, it is an honorr." Her accent betrays her emotion.
Perched on her back, a gnome speaks up in a harsh voice. "So give the guy a trophy! I want to know how come I don't have any of those fancy schmancy tattoos." He cocks his head and looks at Brahmah out of one eye. "I'll vouch for ya too, if I can get a tattoo at half price!"

To Brahmah he says " If one could herd cats successfully I might be their leader. In reality they just let me talk so that they don't need to stop looking for trouble to get me in. I mean really, would you let an opinionated Minotaur that is as plain as I am speak for you? It just proves they are fickle and chaotic. Let me offer you greetings then. Have you returned to the Wold seeking adventure, or are you just coming to see what the commotion in the Market is all about? We have very little time to chat, we have a Lich to go make Lich pieces out of. If the look of shock on a Lich's face and the resulting scream of 'Oh no, where did I go wrong!?!' as Val's warhammer crushes the unlife from it are things you are interested in you could follow my friend here," indicating the Deva" and come surprise him with us."

OK, I have to ask..... Why a medium Falchion at -2 to attacks, instead of a large Scimitar for no penalties?
Also you character sheet seems to stack some things on top of each other, like some of your skills , feats, anything that seems to be in a close tight table format. Does this happen for anyone else?

Being as how I haven't been to a town for several months, I decided to have a look.... and enjoyed what I saw." He thinks a moment, rubbing the back of his neck. "I should probably check out the WLA office while I'm here too. Haven't been for some time."
The ranger looks at the party again and takes them all in. In common "A lich huh? I fought skellies, zombies, mummies, ghouls, ghasts, weres, dragons... humans, dwarves, taurs, and all sorts. Can't say I remember fighting a lich, but I'm old and the mind isn't what it was. But undead..." He laughs. "...there's a party!" He winks.
He glances at the little should mounted gnome. "If you like, I'll give you any tattoo you like. I like the stout folk."

OOC: Malgant, good question about the falchion. I wasn't just being an idiot when I made the character. :) I carried the idea over from his 3. and 3.5 backgrounds, though I just realized I didn't have the background on the PF version. Though I shall remedy that soon. I lost all my character stuff for the Wold dating back to 2001 when my computer very recently crashed. So, all I have left is what I bothered putting on GoogleDocs.

The falchion was his father's. His father was fighting in a Kayleb for the honor of Brahmah's mother when the centaur he was fighting stabbed him in the back during an organized rest period within the Kayleb. Brahmah wasn't nearby when it happened but in a nearby field tending vines. He knew of the centaur though and planned to find him in the night and at the bar he frequented (and where his mother worked) but he had set sail that very evening. Brahmah still seeks his fathers killer.
Cliche, I know, but it was nearly 30 years ago. Brahmah assumes the centaur is either dead or retired. Presumably, centaurs would make very poor deck hands. :)

The Brahmah inventor of the tattoos bearing him name, is introduced and greeted by the heroes. It seems they the group has an offer of an extra hand, but time is short.
The Astral Deva Angel, nods to the newcomer, "Well-meet Brahmah, perhaps Domi or as Malgant knows him Imod, has had a hand you your arrival, before we engage the enemy in battle. An extra member would present challenge to your plan of posing as your impersonators, I suspect even demons can count well enough to notice a difference. Perhaps Valanthe could claim him as a charmed prisoner or new recruit? After all, Succubus are know for collecting boy toys."

Mookie splutters at the teasing he gets from Mal and Aztyr. "Why! That's not funny, cowboy!" he exclaims. Then he hears Vauhwyt giggling, and he smiles. "Okay, it is a little funny."
Then Vauwhyt makes sure the group is not being scried. If so, she does not give things away. By the way, she stopped Darkwalking some time before a full minute of darkwalking elapsed.
She explains to Brahmah what is going on. "We are fighting three liches, one of which we have defeated already. There is a magic teleportation circle in that alley. Step into it and you appear in front of one or both of the remaining liches. Our plan is to pose as the enemies we just defeated, step into the circle, and maybe trick the lich or liches within to get an advantage."
"To make the trick work, the angel, Mookie, and you, Brahmah, have to stay behind. Stand near the circle. Mookie and the angel are connected to the rest of us via telepathy. When the trick is sprung, you three step into the circle to join us and fight."
She looks thoughtfully at the angel. "Excuse me, sir, uh, miss, um, but if the circle goes kerblooey after we five step through, can you teleport Mookie and Brahmah to us after the trick is tried?"
"Speaking of which," she says, "it is time to prep the trick." She gets out a scroll of Vision. She hands a scroll of Lesser Restoration to Mal, so he can use it on her after she reads the scroll -- the Vision will make her fatigued, and Lesser Restoration will fix that.
She gets out a Vision scroll, and she reads it. The scroll has a caster level of 13, so Vauhwyt has to make a DC14 caster level check to activate it. Seeing as she is 12th level, she only fails on a natural 1. She gets out the lich dust from dead lich, and bones and char from the enemies they just defeated, and the treasure they just gathered. She uses her new feat that lets her reduce her arcane spell failure to 5%. Then she tries to read the scroll:
Arcane Spell Fail Roll: 96 = no prob.
Caster level check: 19 = no prob.
Here is the question Vauhwyt asks: "What is the name and an identifying characteristic of one of the liches who have been spying on us, one who is an ally of this lich that we defeated, one who gave orders to these enemies that we just defeated, one who now awaits at the destination point of this teleportation circle right here?"
There is a caster level check required here to get an answer, per the Vision spell. That caster level check uses the caster level of the scroll, which is 13. The DC is in the 20-25 range, as our DM determines. Vauhwyt's caster level check for this purpose is: a 22!
If this is enough to get an answer, then great. If not, then she will try again:
Arcane spell fail: 44 no prob. Caster Level check to activate: 29 no prob. Caster level check to get an answer: Ugh! a 16!
THEN she will use a hero point for a reroll, with two extra points used to get a +4 on the roll:
Hero Point reroll caster level check to get an answer: 35!
Okay! At that point, Vauwhyt should have an answer to her question. It will likely be cryptic in some way, but hey! Are we not clever adventurers all!?!

OOC I figured as much about the Falchion, but I didn't see a history so I had to ask. I am down 75 hp Aztyr so it'll be at least 2 charges from the staff to keep me from just dying outright when the bad touch stuff starts on the other side. Who knew that vampiric touch could skirt all of those protections with a few simple wording changes. Sheesh.

As soon as she finishes the healing, she says "Wait a moment, no one look directly at what I'm about to do, we don't want to lose you by accident."
Aztyr attempts to draw 5 drops of Wold's Blood dc = 10 +5/ drop (35) skill is level (fixer lvls x2) + combat casting = 25 so she needs a 35+
With the first draw of Wold's Blood, she recharges her staff 1 charge. She repeats the draw attempt. She stores them in her vessel, then draws again, failing. A fourth try grants another 5 blood, again recharging the staff, this time to a full 10 charges. Her final draw right now fills her vessel to it's orginial 6 drops useing 5 of her 6 draw attempts for the day.

In her heart the Liontaur knows only person's statement is true and that the true name will be the same as them. She will also know what day of the week it was.

OOC: you think these riddles were tough... I was at a LARP, unfortunatly my character was illiterate. we went into one darkened are and there were random letters scattered across an area of floor that we knew was trapped, because one of the other players stepped one one of the squares and was zapped. I looked at the grid and within a few seconds I saw the right path through. The other illiterate character noticed it after i pointed out the starting area. after 10 minutes I started whistiling an Aerosmith tune, it took another 10 minutes until one of the other players caught on.

the DM looked me up after the module, "How long did it take you to find that" he asked. I told him, "maybe 30 seconds max" he laughed and commented about how slow the rest were to pick up on the tune, and because it took them so long he didn't squeltch the hint.

Upon reflection of the two visions experienced by Vauhwyt, Both liontaurs have derived an answer each to the riddles which they hope is correct, and hope the knowledge will neutralize one of the two Lichs.
Vorelle agrees with answers if not the accuracy of the riddle.
Malgant removes his armband that marked him as a non-imposter and thinks about cake.
Lost at the riddles, Valanthe questions how the knowledge would help defeat the lichs. Vauhwyt with Mookie's help explain the plan to trap the lich's body if not soul.
Brahmah prepares to wait with the Deva and Mookie, both of who have contact with the others via telepathic bond, so all three will know what is happening and can advise.
Looking upon the teleport circle those in the know about magical things realize it's able to transport one large creature or four medium size people at a time (per round). The only question is who goes first?

Glenn says the magic circle teleports four medium people or 1 large per round. We have

It will take four complete rounds to get the "imposter" party through, and another two rounds for Brahmah, Angel, and Mookie after the fighting starts.
Whoever goes through first has to keep up the disguise long enough for more people to get through.
I will cast a Glibness spell on myself (can't cast it on another), so it seems reasonable that I should go first to talk and delay while others come through.
The other option is that Val should go through first, because it seems like the succubus was the leader, and she would be the one to talk. Val, what do you think?

removing a (D) spell ( dispellable) is a standard action on the caster's part, if memory serves me. The portal was said to be able to..."Looking upon the teleport circle those in the know about magical things realize it's able to transport one large creature or four medium size people at a time (per round)." The math on that is broken, judging by other teleports, but it works from a size footprint to step on the portal, type reason. But all 3 of them should be able to go at the same time

Brahmah, you got the reduce person, Haste ( Aztyr can easily cover us all) an Aid from the Deva ( which I will roll now since it just occured to me) and you will have a Holy Aura once the first person steps through the circle, the Deva is waiting on that short duration one for us all to be ready to go. Aid 17 temp hit points plus all the other stuff that comes with the spell. Plus your own buffs.
Normally, if there is such a thing, we like to prepare for combat as much as possible. My wisdom is not very high so I don't toss ALOT of buffs but Holy Aura is becoming a staple, the SR, deflection and save bonuses are something I rely on. As a bonus the rest of you get the spell too. I try and keep a status spell up, which will be difficult again since we will have more people.Vauhwyt and I have a deal going exchanging extended GMweapon for extended magical vestment, though I am trying to get Aztyr to take over the magical vestment duties with woldsblood. If we know what we are up against we try and ward for it, like the cold protection vs the ogre magi and the death ward for our melee vs the lich ( sorry, I am out currently, the temple of Gargul had to hook me up with the ones Val and I currently have). I can toss heal, though I prefer to do most healing after the fight, unless someone gets low. I keep a couple of Breath of Life prayed for and I think Aztyr might be able to toss them using her limited wish in a pinch.
Thats kinda the lowdown on how we roll at this time. kind of a primer for the BBL death squad. 8)

Vauhwyt likes to buff herself before battle (preferably long before battle) with medium and long duration buffs, contingent greater invisibility for the moment of a fight, teleport and wall of stone to move fast in and out of battle while controlling the terrain by blocking with stone. She has a few fun spells like Shrink Item and always always always has a Detect Scrying up. That bit of paranoia is something she had from day one -- when she got her first and only 4th level spell, that was it! But lately she has sure been glad she had it.

Aztyr has different ideas on buffing unlike most of the others, she can't get her AC much above 20 so that really hinders her.
She has Mage armor, Nondetection (which is appearently broken), and her hat of disguise, which changes everyday are the only regular spells.
Haste, Greater Invis, Protection from energy(usually fire),Shield and Telepathic Bond (which will soon be permenancied for those who choose to)
The reason protection from Fire is usually on is that Aztyr has a tendancy to drop fireballs as a natural reaction to most problems. She now has a Rod of Lesser Maximise (lvl 1-3 spells) which means she drops 70 point fireballs now(max 3 a day). Now that she has I can do allmost anything spell, she has a lot more choice. (any arcane 6th or lower, any divine 5th or lower) And as being a fixer, we've only covered 2 days, we've been busy since the conversion.
ADM, we will have an untimed Roleplay session, until out grand DM returns from Real Life turning him upside down....
Aztyr looks to Brahmah,"So, you really are the person who developed these Tattoos? I do have three of them, the simplist is one that creates a little water, but it's enough to quench thirsts in desperate situations. The Second one I have does some minor wound closing. (cure light wounds) The most powerful one I currently have casts Silence. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it should be useful against casters, the last Lich we encountered only survived 12 seconds so I never got the chance to try it out."

Aztyr uses a wand to reduce Brahmah size.
(ooc: the teleport circle is 5 radius. Which works out to 10ft x 10ft. So I'm using area of creature vs the normal teleport spell rules of 2 medium = 1 large. Also, normal the teleport circle isn't two way, but this one is.)
Valanthe is ready to step though Vorelle voices her readiness and they both step into the circle and vanish.
Brahmah stands by with the Deav and Mookie waiting for the others.

The elvish warrior Valanthe and her human ranger Vorelle step through the circle into a dimly lit cave. Awaiting the return of the imposters are a guard detail of half a dozen Babau demons and half a dozen ogre mages also one lone kobold wearing robes and sporting several wands. The kobold looks impatient "What took you sso long? My masster is waiting! He and the other wissh you and the otherss to report immediately upon return." The kobold taps his foot impatiently.
One of the demon Babau hisses at the kobold impatient and self importance before turning to the elf and human thinking them to be the demon's in disguise "You look hideous in those humanoid skins. But at lest you are allowed by the lichs to attack these puny humanoids of this world. I grow tired of waiting on these lichs plans. But enough of that, How did the raid go little sisters?"
The two girls don't see the lichs anywhere in range, but this is only a corner of a large cavern. Apparently they decided it was unwise to hang around awaiting your return. You can hear the demon and outsider war camp and see many fires spread out in the dark where unknown numbers of those creatures await orders to attack. Until then they practice and test their skills in mock battles against one another.

IC When the humans are ready, the Deva casts the Holy Aura, granting them SR 25 ( and assorted other goodies like deflection and save bonuses and the whole hit me and go blind perk) for a few moments until the battle is joined and the Deva can refresh the spell. Malgant feels the link with Val die as she steps through the teleport. Unable to shield her now he waits his turn to join her on the other side and end this demonic threat. To the Deva he gives final instructions. " I or one of the others will call you over the mental link when we engage the forces on the other side. I am not sure if the teleport will slow you like a normal teleport does to the caster, but once you are aware on the other side you have my blessing to begin laying waste to Demon and undead alike. Just remember we NEED to get the Liches and get whatever device they are using to control that orb of Blackness. I know that the summoning I used calls you body and soul to this plane. If you are overwhelmed and cannot see another way out, save yourself and Plane Shift home. If all looks lost for my friends and they are near you, take as many as you can with you. Imod is sending me to get that device and I will not leave without it. If it all goes wrong I will draw them off you so that you can get the others out. As always, Thank you for your help in this." "It is most enjoyable. When crushing pathetic things in battle it's hard to just stop because somebody sitting out of battle thinks it should only take so long. I think it's time we told these liches that we demand more. Don't you wish to see human blood spill before you? Haven't you all waited long enough?"
ooc: I'm really getting tired of this. this will be the 4th time I've gone to the doctor for the same thing. Got so much sinus pressure its hard to think let alone sleep. Last time I missed two and a half days of work while waiting for the medicine to kick in.

Vorelle shugs as she replies to the demon.
Valanthe storms over and lifts the small kobold by his robes as she threatens him before tossing him back. The other demons hoot and holler as Valanthe roughly treats the Lich's annoying minion something they would all love to do. The Ogre Mage's maintain there order, but you can see their tusk glistening as they grin. Valanthe goes on answering the demon's question. They snarl and jeer in agreement with her words. The Babau demon nods in agreement, "Yes! The lichs promised us blood and souls to go with their gold! Enough of this play acting Kobold tell you master we are hungry for battle! A hundred demons can will make short work of thees so called heroes!"
The Kobold angry now stands back up dusting himself off, "You sshould remember that, my masster is paying you're kind well for your sservicess, he has his orderss to follow just ass you have hiss orderss that I give you to you to follow, and beware his wrath if anything sshould happen to me while giving hiss orderss demonss!"
During this exchange Vauhwyt, Malgant and Aztyr appear out of the circle.
The Kobold seeing everyone is here motions to the Ogre Mages who fall in order behind the short creature as he moves off through the cave "Thiss way demonss, the lichss await."
The kobold leads the way though the large dimly lit cavern, leaving two Babau to guard the circle as he takes the rest to see the lichs. He moves through the rocks and stalagmite that litter the floor of the cavern between two war camps one of Oni and one of demons towards a large dome shaped structure. The two camps are about 50ft to either side of the trail. There seems to several hundred or more in each war camp.
The demon camp seems to be very rowdy and disorganized where as the Oni camp is very organized and controlled. Still you hear the occasional side or another yelling taunts between the too camps.

Backing up just a bit, Aztyr casts Shield as Malgant stepped through and then promptly followed him through. She sees her current job and just standing there, or walking along, looking tough and mean. She'll relay to those left behind by though, just what is happening and what she sees as they travel. She also alerts them to the guards left at the portal.

Valanthe turns to one of the demons. "Go spread the word to our kind. Be ready to act. If the lich will not give us what was promised right now then we remove the pathetic ogre's. Then the lich has to give us what we want. He has no other choice. Now go!" Valanthe says like she expects her orders to be obeyed without question.
She turns to the kobold. "Puny thing we are needed a lot more than you. Perhaps I'll crush you under my boot just to make a point that we are done waiting." She growls.

It's only been about half a minute since the first of the adventure stepped through the circle to confront the lichs.
Aztyr and Malgant follow along, while Malgant keeps a running mental description of what they see and pass for Bram's, Mookie and Deva.
Getting an idea, Valanthe primes a fuse to start the demons' and Ogre mages at each other, by giving orders to one of the demons. The demon bow, then heads off the to demon camp. Turning to the Kobold she threats to crush it with a growl. The Kobold hisses back, "Undoubtedly sso, but it would gain you little. Do not tesst my masster'ss forbearance SSuccubuss, he called you and your kind here by hiss will and can make you pay dearly if you turn againsst him!"
The Kobold continues on perhaps a step faster with the six Oni between him and Val. The Large dome appears to be made from shaped stone and is some sort of building. You pass many patrols of undead warriors under the control of some sort of greater undead. As you approach the large double entry door into the stone dome. The doors open for the Kobold as he approaches, Two huge stone animate statues stand guard inside.
Inside there is a short hallway, before it opens into a large round chamber 200ft across with columns along the outer edge. Across the way are three raised platforms where two lichs one each are making plans with a mixture undead, demons, and Oni servants, nearly a dozen in each group total. There are also 6 groups of guards of undead, demons and Oni along the outer rim of the room 6 in each group. The area directly behind the lichs are covered in darkness.
The Kobold leads the group forward to the center of the room motioning for you to stop as he move forward between the two groups with lichs, "Masster'ss the raiding party hass returned."
It's only been less than a minute since the first of the adventure stepped through the circle to confront the lichs. (ooc: 4 rounds for everyone to cross through the circle. 4 rounds to walk the 200ft to the dome and 1 round to enter to the center of the chamber. For prepossess of keeping track of the time we I'll call Val & Vorrel stepping though the circle as round zero. So currently it is the beginning of round 9.)
At Brahmah's question, the Deva explains to him while continuing to relay the others comments, Demons do have Telepathy, but it's use is more like how you use a language. They can converse with one or more creatures nearby without being over heard, but it doesn't allow them to read thoughts or listen in on other telepathic communication. Shortly before you joined the group they cast a Telepathic bond which the demons can't eavesdrop on."

OOC I spoke to John/Aztyr last night and he had the same idea, except he is an Oni. He was planning on running out of the room/house/building and shouting to the Oni camp that the demons had betrayed them and were trying to kill the Oni. He meant that as a distraction to get the Deva, Brahmah and Mookie across that big open area without them needing to fight for every inch. What you could do is wait for the OMI/Vauhwyt to try to trap the lich and THEN shout for the demons to attack the Oni because the Oni attacked the Lich. It has the advantage of being almost true since they think Vauwhyt is an Oni. I think it will cause a poop storm the like of which we have not seen in a long time. I think it is the best bet for us if we want to survive this, because...Thats ALOT of enemies. Whatever happens though we need the liches bodies to go with us when we port out in case they have the amulet /object on them that controls the Orb. The stone Golem thingees are what worry me at this point. As a side note, with Brahmah added can we still port the whole party out at full size? How about if one of the large people were say...huge?

Brahmah is questioning how the group got mixed up in this mission.
Vauhwyt is doing a good job of being herself or as an Oni being her? She doesn't see a snake currently on or near either Lich.
The Lichs and their attendants look at the group expectantly. After a moment one of the Lichs speaks "Well, report how went the raid?" The Kobold smiling snipes "SSpeak SSucubuss, or doess the cat have your tongue in the pressentss of my master?"

The two Lichs are not identical one is wearing armor. You currently don't see any items, tattoos, jewelry or emblems that look snake like. If they are part snake or have a snake familiar you haven't seen anything yet to indicate that.

Aztyr stands around doing nothing in particular, when Vauhwyt voices her "non-truth" Aztyr nods and lets a tiny smile appear on her face, almost as if she had killed the witch, but another had grabbed up the loot. (delaying as long as possible as in holding Aztyr's action so she can act immeadiatily upon the springing of the trap.)
If weither the Deva or Mookie alert them that they have crossed over, Aztyr will cancel the reduce person on Brahmah.

He will declare Valanthe as his Interpose target and he will attempt to draw fire of any and all opponents in the room to buy the others the time they need to kill the second Lich ( Assuming the trap gets the first)

Valanthe just smiles at the Kobold. She turns her back to the lich and adresses the demons around her in hushed tones. "See how they treat us. They are nothing without us. We do their work and get nothing of what was promised. Look up there. See how the dead and the Oni get the favorable position around the table. We are nothing but fodder to them. They do not appreciate our strength. Are we demons or are we humans?" She asks them and spits upon the ground after saying human with disgust.
If all goes well the lich will try to discipline me. Unleash his magic upon me and start the demon revolt. Then oni are prepared so the numbers will take care of themselves.
