Still smoking from the flamestrike, Aztry throws another one of her maximized fireballs catching seven demons within it's hellish blast only one saves and only two survive the explosion.
Malgant wonders about the black field behind them and the lich's unusual ability to take quite a beating and keep ticking, as the Deva flies in dropping Mookie and casting a Holy aura on her allies. The Minotaur Protector lashes out once again at the Lich. The first blow is enough to finish the Lich off as it's bones and gear crumples to the ground. His remaining blows are enough to kill the wounded Ogre mage.
Vorelle squirms free of the rubble and dust herself off.
Given his unusually smaller size, Brahmah rolls between the legs of the golem and keeps trucking to help his new friends.
The two Golems not wanting to let Brahmah in are moving after him, but are slower. (Note the Ruble is difficult terrain x2 move cost) Some undead are also making their way across the rubble.
Shifting to her right, Valanthe is preparied to flank the Lich, but Mal has already finished it off.
The Liontaur Vauhwty climbs out of the rubble and standup.

Brahmah stops (28,29/U,V) very close to Aztyr as she appears near him. The request for healing is odd, 'cus he never fancied himself any sort of healer. The ranger wonders if he remembers the words clearly enough. When Aztyr is within reach, he casts Cure Moderate (healing 19 of Aztyr's damage) "Can you heal me?" He asks. "I'm pretty bad off and won't be able to handle those golems at all. Their stone hides!"

The Deva says a few divine words and drops a Blade Barrier across the line where all the Oni are clustered (row P) causing 46 damage DC 22 Reflex save for none, and choice of which side of the barrier to be on. She then flies to V14 to prepare for next rounds attacks. Malgant ignores the Oni who so far have failed to significantly harm him. He casts detect magic and uses his move action to scan the bodies all around him and gather anything magical.

Mookie fires his wand of magic missiles at the Demons facing Vauh, but the magic fails to affect the Babau. Shift the small gnome/bird tries to pick up the defeated Lich {total weight ~80lb} it is seriously heavy for him and he can only stagger around with it{5ft move loses dex bonus to ac}. He does notice several thing about the Lich Highlight to display spoiler: {" first the Lich's is glowing with a green light and there are several items of note on the lich very nice armor, an amulet, belt, cloak, beadband, ring and a pendent of a skeletal hand grasping a black sphere.}
Vauhwyt spreads her attacks around on the demons hitting three times but none doing enough damage to finish off any of the wounded demons.
Aztyr goes after Brahmah, by teleporting there.
Valanthe moves to block the demons and attacks the one next to her killing the wounded creature.
Putting her bow away, Vorelle quickly draws her handaxes and chops at the nearest Babau wounding it.
Brahmah moves even with Aztyr using what healing he has on her, but still needing more himself.
The deva drops a blade barrier across the line of Oni wounding them all and forcing them to jump back out of the way.
Malgant cast detect magic and starts to scan all the bodies around him, the first round he does detect magic, it will take longer to pinpoint each source.
The undead continue to move slowly across the rubble field as do the stone Goloms
The demons move and continue to attack the heroes who tricked them. One on Mal (hit ac 20, 26, 24) missing him.
Two on Val (hit ac 22, 27, 22, 21, 17, 18) all attack missing the elf warrior.

She brings her hammer down on the closest demon (w9) almost wishing they would just retreat so she could go bash the golems. They too deserve Gargul's wrath.

Malgant continues to scan for magic from what's in range nether demons, Oni or Skeletal Champions seem to have magic items. The Gaveknight have three each, the Kobold/Snake has eight items and a few active spells, The dead lich has seven items and many active spells on it. The area of darkness behind the lichs is magical, and the stone Golem's are magic. The most powerful aura overwhelming coming from the dead lich. You can't detect anything of the lich trapped within Vauh's gem.
The Deva moves to cast a holy word in the center of the baddies, the Oni are unaffected, all the demons are blinded and Deafened, the Skeletal champions are destroyed, but the Gave knight is unaffected.
Aztyr grabs Brahmah and teleports him back across the room.
Vorelle chops at the same babau killing it then wounding the one next to it.
Valanthe dispatch the two wounded and blind demons in front of her.
Mookie give the lich body to Mal, then blast one of Vauh's foes with his magic missile. Vauhwyt finishes off the one Mookie hit and added more wounds to the next one.
Brahmah finding he is suddenly behind a demon with flank attacks its and kills it.
The three remaining demons teleport away with their tails between their legs.

Cayzle Comments: If you have DM Access Rights you can edit and annotate die roller fields. But regular players can't do it. so if you are doing it but other players can't, is that fair? So it is kind of frowned on for players with DM rights to type in die roller fields, seeing as other players don't get to do it. Similarly, players with DM rights are discouraged from editing other players' posts, from fixing typos (condoned, especially at the player's request) to making long OOC comments to other players. I will make my save and reduce my resistance. My post hinges on Brahmah and the others who didn't have any SR od cold resist to counter that magic. Malgant is fully affected by the one cone of cold to break the Holy Aura's Spell resistance. The cold resistance on him absorbs it fully and he calls out to the others what he has learned about the magic items. Anyone nearby not occupied feel free to loot items for later identification and splitting. The Deva manages to dodge the only cone of cold that reaches her, taking no damage due to her Celestial heritage.

First, those pesky cones.
Mookie has Holy Aura and Spell Resistance 25, I believe. He shrugs off all four cones except for the first. For that one, Mookie has a save to make, at +4 with the Holy Aura. He rolls a 20, saves, and takes no damage thanks to Improved Evasion. Oh, he also had a +1 for Haste, so there.
Vauhwyt has no SR, seeing as she was too far from the angel when it was cast. That means four rolls for her. Her base save is +7. Her dex gives +7. Her magic circle and heroism gives +2 and +2. Her haste gives another +1. At total +19, she only fails on a nat 1. All four saves made, no damage thanks to Evasion. She has not touched her 120 hp worth of Protection From Cold.
Laughing as she races out of the remnants of chill mist, Vauhwyt moves to 12-13-P-Q, tumbling the last ten feet to avoid AoOs. Tumble check at -2 for two foes: 28 and 31. If she takes some AoOs, fine.
Then she attacks the ogre mage on the far right. Her lucky spikes are +3 this round. At +23 she hits AC25 for 18 damage.
Mookie hits the same one with the wand. It beats SR17 for 17 damage.

Freezing and hitting with a hammer are smalltime. I took 1 d20 that rolled 4 straight 1's and did justice to it. I first put it in a vice and then I pulled out a blow torch... the puddle was then put on the table as an example to the other dice I owned, have never had a streak like that even again.
IC: Brahmah sees the Cones of Cold coming, ducks behind the demon corpse and dodges them handily. (Ref Save 23,20, 37 and 30.... Haste, Evasion)[as for the SR, why bother? ;)] He pushes the ice riddled corpse to the ground and shakes off the frost. He feels healing powers course through his veins. "Are there any more?" He looks distracted and even disappointed. "Please tell me the golems are still coming!" He seems to be working himself into a fit. "Who can I kill!?" Finally, he sighs and relaxes. As no one was seriously chilled by the Oni, they look less inclined to continue fighting and more likely to split if given a chance.
Vauhwyt rushes up to attack them despite the blade barrier between her and them between her and Mookie they add to the wounds of one. Aztyr continues to discourage them with a chain lighting spell arching between each of them killing all but one.
Looking around, the only foe left and in ranage of Vorelle is the Grave Knight which she attacks wounding it. The Deva finishes the Grave knight off with her disrupting mace.
Brahmah looks around a little distracted and disappointed for the moment.
The single remaining Oni turns tail taking to air and flies in a direct line away from you guys. His is still can be hit by range weapons this round.
The two stone Golems are slowly making their way across the rubble field, but it will take them 4 round just to reach where the Deva is.
Malgant points out all the magic item locations, Mainly the GraveKnights, Lich and Kobold had magic items. The Oni and Demons have nice weapons, but not magical. There are eight Grave Knights among the dead on two dias and one freshly killed by the Deva.

Malgant is currently holding the green glowing dead's lich's body, but as he shifts the pendent of a skeletal hand grasping a black sphere slips off the lich's body and falls to the floor almost as if it is trying to escape capture it is the source of overwhelming magical aura that Mal detected.

I just hope we are in time to save the Temple, where the orb first appeared. The place is where I did most of my growing up and is dear to me. It will require a great deal of rebuilding I am sure." " Keep in mind friends that this fight is still not over. Vauhwyt's trick has bought us time to rest and stop the Orb, but we still have an angry lich in a bottle that will need to be dealt with. It is up to Vauhwyt where we do that. If an altar remains here I can consecrate it and make it hold the lich bound and unable to use traveling magic to escape. If not we can travel back to Plateau City and ask the Brothers of Gargul to make ready a similar place and they may study the lich after we dispatch it. I doubt they would welcome an altar dedicated to Imod in their temple so their priests will need to make the consecration. Either way it will need to be dealt with." After Malgant finishes he thinks about the rebuilding. An altar dedicated to Garguk might be a good thing in Imod's Temple. After all Gargul reigns over Life and death, the beginning and end of each person's life, be they Taur or Noble races. Few Taur seek to be raised if they died well in battle, wishing rather to allow their final act to be their legacy, or so the elder of the Temple had said. Malgant would think about this to bring up when the Temple was rebuilt.

After gathering loot, Vorelle, Mookie and Vauhwyt teleport out without a problem, however Aztyr's teleport of Malgant, Val, Brahmah and herself fails to work.
In addition the pendent of a skeletal hand grasping a black sphere seems to have eaten a hole in the cloth pouch/blank or what ever Malgant used to pick it up and fallen to the ground once again.

Aztyr grabs the item and tries to uses the device with a bland check. It feels very cold to the touch {two negative levels while holding it. UMD doesn't change that.} (continued below).
Malgant is worried about Azty's using her last teleport.
Thinking about the teleport, Aztyr can't under stand why it failed at first, then her eye falls on the green glowing lich body and she remembers casting Dimensional Anchor on! (ooc: Yes, Aztyr can keep the hero point)
Valanthe would like to smash it, but wonders if it can be put into something?
Brahmah suggest a extra dimensional bag of devouring.
Holding the item Aztyr feels it's evil intelligence and it's hunger to consume everything. Feeling its overpowering command ::FEEDME!:: The energy flows out calling something to it. In the center of the dome a 30ft black sphere appears without a sound and starts to float forward. You feel the evil thing trying to control you into sending the orb after you friends. (Make a will check DC27 to resist, and act freely, otherwise feed the orb a creature!)

OOC: I'm assuming Vauhwyt brought Vorelle and Mookie to Imod City, leaving Brahmah, Mal, and Val to Aztyr.
Through the still-active mental link, Vauwhyt deduces that the teleport failed because of the dimensional anchor. She still has two teleports left for the day -- but just two, which is cutting things close.
She looks around at Imod City, at the black orb especially. Is it growing? How much damage has been done?

If Vauhwyt and friends are close enough to the sphere in Imod city then they would see that it vanished with a pop sound shortly after they arrived, leaving a perfectly half sphere hole.

OOC You are still "good" No matter what the amulet believes so you still lose the levels. It may need you to be evil to use it but inside you are good and suffer the penalties. If I were to UMD an unholy sword to allow me to use it I would still lose the levels.

What are the rules on ANOTHER character modifying a roll with Hero points. Cuz if Aztyr fails this someone is eating an orb. I have points and I want to help modify her save.
Um also, isn't that orb kinda right on top of the golems?

A) The temporary Neg levels while holding the device is because it is an intelligent evil item with a very strong will. And you are a good person. The neg levels are it's effect upon you, it doesn't matter what you have fooled it into thinking. Example: lets say it was a cold based item that radiates cold and requires a arctic race to use it, using UMD you could trick into believing you are such a race, but the cold it radiated would still give you frost bite. Pretty much what Malgant said -dm Glenn)

We will NOT be smashing, liquefying or otherwise harming it. Aztyr, are you ok? There is a big orb here that looks like the one in Imod City. Did you do that? Did the amulet do it on it's own to stop us? Can amulets do things like that?" Malgant starts pulling magic items off the lich, easiest to hardest. Amulet, belt, cloak, headband, and ring I can probably do in short order, especially if I hold the body up like a pinata and Brahmah and Val help me. The armor will take some time, but, since I do not care AT ALL about the body I am removing the armor from. I could sort of just grab hold at one end and extract the lick like a shrimp from a shell. Keep me posted on our progress. I do call out what items are magic while I am plucking.
I'll ask again, Can other players use hero points to help people make rolls? I have points and if Aztyr doesn't make the roll it looks like someone here will die. I want to influence that roll if I can. (No, you can't use hero points to influence another person's roll. - dm Glenn)
What I am looking for from the telepathic link is confirmation from Imod City that the sphere is gone. Once I have that info I have a plan. A plan that might not matter whether Aztyr makes the save of not.

Wanting to smash it, Brahmah wisely want to keep away from it.
Malgant wonders if the black orb was the same one threatening Imod. Vauhwyt confirms via the telepatich link that it is gone from Imod city.
Aztyr struggles to control the intelligent artifact, but its is too strong and she does the only thing she can by directing the sphere to consume one of the two stone golems. The black sphere floats over engulfing one of the two golems which were very nearly upon you. Everyone in the dome can now feel the pendent's hunger for more. Aztyr hears it think "Umm... MORE!!!" (Aztyr - Will check vs DC 27 to try an dominant the artifact)
The remaining stone Golem moves up to within range of the group, but can't attack this round. Malgant tells everyone to gather close and pray as he cast antimagic field upon the group. The reduced Brahmah follows orders.
For those in Imod City the mental link goes dead between them those still left behind in the Lich's dome.

Az Malagant's antimagic field kick's in, she returns to her normal form, a rather young liontaur, wearing a light colored shirt, a leather harnes with a lot of arcane and magical symbols both carved and stitched into it. That harness supports the pouches and sheaths she carries with her. She has a dark grey cloak and on her lower back, resting on the lion part of her body is her haversack. She is stressed out like none of you have ever seen before, she is sweating in so much effort that it seems to be just rolling off her face, dripping onto her shirt and the cavern floor.

Malgant continues to hold out the Lich to have others remove magic items from it. As Aztyr stops the mewling defeated stance she held previously, Malgant thinks his prayers may have been answered. He speaks in a calm voice, hoping Aztyr is in charge inside her own head. " Imod City is safe Aztyr and it seems that amulet has a mind of it's own and no good intentions for any of us. I don't know what will happen when you do, but I think our only hope is to destroy that thing and throw it in the Sphere. Hopefully the antimagic aura will afford us some protection from whatever that outcome is." Knowing that Aztyr has the least resistance to damage among them, and is clearly sacrificing herself both mentally and physically to control her own actions, Malgant declares her as his interpose target, hoping to save her from the worst of the effects of destroying the amulet.

Through a heroic effort Aztyr finally manages to dominate the item's will with her own just before Malgant created his antimagic field.
Malgant encourages Aztyr to destroy the evil item by throwing it into sphere.
Valanthe offers to smash it with her magical hammers as she helps strip the dead lich's items.
Vorelle and Vauhwyt stand by waiting biting nails back in Imod city.
The 30ft black sphere is still floating withing 30ft of the group, The one remaining stone golem starts to circle the antimagic field sensing that it can't enter. Aztyr is temporally herself and has mastered the item, but only for the day. Tomorrow and every day afterward the evil thing will once again try to consume everything with it linked sphere of Annihilation.

Malgant relaxes, marginally. Apparently, antimagic fields keep out golems...good to know. Between himself and Val they should be able to peel the lich from his armor fairly quickly while Aztyr deals with the amulet. Rolling it through the warcamp of demons and Oni might not be a bad idea. Hopefully when the two items meet there will be a large explosion that will level the area. Not knowing though, the priest just hopes Aztyr learns something from the amulet before destroying it, and that she is ready to teleport immediately when she makes the throw.

Looking around Imod city, Vauhwyt sees the city has been mostly evacuated do to the threat of the sphere, the actual damage is minimal just a big hole in the street and buildings on both side. There are a few guards looking confused, but relieved that the sphere is gone the captain sends a runner to tell the leaders. Vorelle reminds Vauhwyt that she left champ at the inn.

Malgant and Val strip the lich's magic items from his body {not a pretty sight} while the stone golem moves around about the antimagic field.
Aztyr learns she can't command the pendent to control the sphere from within the antimagic field, but she can step outside the field and have the sphere engulf the stone Golem. When she does she feels the level drain once again and the evil hunger of the pendent building strength. It suggest to her via thoughts "Yes keep me, uses me I can destroy anyone who gets in your way! You no longer need these other lesser creatures. With me you can enslave all others!"
Valanthe is very insistence that the evil pendent be destroyed now!
Brahmah ponders the possible results of smashing it throwing it into the sphere.
With the golems gone you do have some time to gather more items, but the sound of battle from out side the dome is growing closer.

IC: Aztyr, while standing outside the antimagic field sends a message via telepathic bond to the others. *Sorry for the vanishing act everyone, I was battling this.... this.... artifact I guess you'd call it. Malgant was afraid I was in the process of losing the battle of wills with it. I agree it was touch and go there for a bit, but I finally wrapped my mind around it, and gained the upper hand, for now at least.* The following she both thinks and says outloud, due to Malgant and the others being in the antimagic field. "I believe I know how to destroy it, but I'm not sure if this sphere will work, due to it being linked with the controller. Also, we are starting to run low on time, the battle is closing in on us from the outer cavern, it that Lich stripped yet?" Aztyr directs the sphere towards the "doorway" of the inner scantum to have it block the entrance.

Aztyr moves the sphere to the doorway, but with the roof collapsed it wouldn't stop any one from flying in. Mal, Bram and Val have gathered all the magic's items within reach.
You hear the sounds of battle getting closer, and see a few Oni peek over the remaining wall of the dome.

Aztyr moves the sphere back closer since the Oni are gonna fly over, what she is planning on is having the orb eat the 2 alter like places and then, tossing the control into it, and teleporting out at as close to the same time as she can. (the rod has 6 spell levels left in it, teleport will take 5 of them.)

Having picked up anything of value Aztyr uses the Orb to clean away the two dias, dead lich body, any blood stains that the hero's may have left, before she tosses the evil pendent into the sphere of annihilation. The evil thing screeches "Nooooooooo......
immediately, after the pendent enters the orb the thing starts to pulse and ripple as if the forces that held it in place have become unhinged. Cracks start to from across it's surface and rays of black energy stream out in all directions where ever it touches vanishes. It's a wonder that the party is spared
Aztyr concentrates on her spell using the last of the stored energy within the rod to power it. Mal having ditched the anit-magic field the group successfully teleports away just as the sphere lets go a massive release of energy in an earth shattering kaboom.
Oddly enough each of you feel just a fleeting touch from all the energy, matter, and life forces of those caught withing the explosion twist and pulse, then the briefest sense as if something was awakening...
A moment later you appear in Imod city near the rest of the party.
(ooc: I'll post loot and Hero Points in the next post or two, but for now you have each gained sufficient experience to be 16th level.
"Jeezum Crow," caws Mookie, now back in raven form. He looks sideways at the returnees. "I thought you guys were goners for sure!"
Vauhwyt laughs at her familiar. "Sucker! You owe me 10 gold, now!"
"Stupid bet!" Mookie says.
Vauhwyt hugs Val, Mal, and Aztyr. "You guys did great!"
She shakes Brahmah's hand. "You too, good minotaur. I hope you liked your taste of our adventuring. Maybe you'll stick around for morre?" Her accent reveals her instinctive like of the new party member.

I would love to think that no one would take advantage of the chaos to loot the temple, but my faith in the nature of people in crisis doe not allow me that luxury." I can work on recharging the wands, so we can see those we don't want at fully charged levels. I know I want to spend some time creating a few items that I am interested in, if I can get the chance. I'd also like to spend a couple days, linking us with telepathic bond, we've found out how useful that can be. Plus, I just want to relax and stretch out, doing nothing for a bit of time as well. I know we entrered the fair for rest and relaxation, but we can see where that led to...
Brahmah, Let me give you a quicky recap of how we got where we were. We were taking a break at a tavern, I believe it was the Tavern on the Wold. Correct me if I'm wrong. One of the workers there went down to the river to some water and came screaming back, because there was a dead body floating by. I did a scrying, and we teleported to the area of the wrecked wagon the body had floated from. There, we ran into a few harpies, after we killed them, Vauhwyt agreed to raise them (left unsaid is *for some reason*). We rescued the mother and children the harpies had saved as hatchling food. She and a couple others decided to creat a home camp for us off shore (40 feet or so) near black bird forest. While she was doing that Mal, Val, Vorelle and myself continued on to the fair with the woman and kids. While there, Malgant entered the Martial competition, and I entered the Arcane competition. We both won our competitions, after the three days of contests. While there I and Vorelle went through the "dangerous animals" exhibit. While there we found a Unicorn being held captive. I decided that was not gonna last. So with Vorelle we broke the unicorn out of the chains and I teleported us to Vauhwyt's camp. As the fair was closing, the Animal handler attacked us, with all of the beasts being unleashed upon us. They didn't stand a chance, it was over in a hurry. He gave us information about a Lich doing expierments in the combining of creatures. Vauhwyt had teleported to the fair, and while she was away, a Druid that she had befriended stole the chicks. We used one of the feathers he'd shed while in animal form and scryed his location. That lead us on a recon, soon after the recon was over, we assulted his lair, killing all but 1 of the Drow, and defeating the lich himself. The Next day I was scried upon, and doubles of us started causing havok and doing damage in areas where had been known to help out. We proved it was a lie, because the double of me was in the disguise of the disguise I'd used a day before. That's when we found out about the Orb that was here in Imod city. We then left for Plateau city and the Temple of Gargul. We hoped they could assist. We left there for the area where we ran into you. And well, you were present for the ending.... So... we try and take a break and all hell breaks loose. Just another day,or three, for the Heroes of Blackbird. I hope that clears it up a bit for you Brahmah."

He had dealt with this situation, almost EXACTLY this situation, however, the man doing the experiments had not been very successful and managed to escape from Brahmah. The captain would later rescue the rest of the Chosen and escape the island. Would these intervening years been enough time to go though the process to become a lich? Did Doctor Mauroth have that ambition? "Wait! What? What is this 'lich's' name? What information do you have about him? Is it Mauroth?!"

Malgant sends the others to the Mangled Centaur as he drops by the temple. There are a few guards and priest at the temple also the oldest of the three leaders is there, but the rest have been evacuated just in case. They have already had word that the sphere is gone, but the the Elder Gralnir wants the full story from Malgant
Aztyr leads the others to the Mangled Centaur which is still open running on a skeleton crew {No not real skeletons.} The barkeep and one cook is there. There are panty of rooms available. Getting some food and drink for the group, the liontaur tells the story of what happen.
Valanthe plans for a long week at the beach, Vorelle not sure the Wold will let them have that much time before it needs saving again.
Brahmah recounts an adventure where they fought a man doing experiments on some island a wizard by the name of Mauroth. He fits the same description as the human wizard you killed during the harpy chicks rescue attempt. While Azty recalled him as being a lich he was just a flesh and blood human wizard, as Mookie points out in his telling of the story.

Seeing his mentor still at his post makes Malgant's heart swell with pride. He relates what went on since last they spoke. The cornering of their tail, the trip to the first lich's lair, the trip to Plateau City and the temple of Gargul's assistance. He relates in detail the fight with the pretenders and the two liches. In the end he tells of Aztyr mastering the pendant and destroying at least part of Mount Bone by throwing the pendant into the orb. He also thanks the Protector for shepherding him into the path of the Protector. He explains he now knows the full weight of responsibility that Imod places on the Protector's shoulders. From using sanctuary to shield those too far away to physically protect to actually calling out the evildoers and making them hit you instead of your allies, Malgant has used all of the gifts that Imod has provided him with. All of this was made possible by the inspiration of Gralnir Swordbreaker's teachings and the stories told of his deeds. Once all is secure at the Temple, Malgant will excuse himself and retire to the Mangled Centaur. He bows reverently before the restored likeness of Mathilda the Centaur in the common room and gets a hot bath. Afterward he joins any of his friends that are still awake for some food and then gets some much needed rest.
OOC Excellent story Glenn, please enjoy your rest and come back to torment us again. 8) Cayzle, I sent you an email about slotless items a few weeks ago... can you help me out and explain what I need to do to get them? Glenn, do any of these Liches count as enemies of the church that Malgant needs to defeat to restore his family name? That is one reason Malgant is as detailed as he can be when he relates the tale to Gralnir. How does he go about asking if they are sufficient? I would consider the Sphere a huge threat to the city and the church but did Malgant need to do it alone? If so then they clearly do not count. There is no way I could have done any of this without help. All of this is laid out in Malgant's trial to regain his citizenship back while Buzz was our DM, I just need it interpreted.

All cleaned up, having taking a bath and gotten herselff toweled off, as well as a while combing her out her hide, she heads back down to the tavern area of the building. She orders up a couple platters of different meats, some breads, and a pitchur of lemonade. As others join her, she calls over the waitress to get thier orders for food and drink. She also asks if the owners are in residence or not. If they are, she wishes to pass on word that they have just returned, and are available, for a few days, hopefully to be a couple weeks off.

Gralnir Swordbreaker's gives Malgant leave, as he and the other priest set about calling back those evacuated a process that will take a day are too. Before Malgant goes Gralnir tells him "If your actions today don't move the bull headed leaders to reinstate your citizenship then I don't know what it would take."(ooc: technically the lichs send the sphere to attack Imod city because of your connection of being a Mintaur and follower of Imod, but the leaders also know they would be run out of town by the citizens if they didn't honor the heroes who ultimately saved the city too. It's all so political)
After getting cleaned up Aztry settles in and ask about the owners, the barkeep informs her that since business was slow they opted to take a Holiday for a week or two, but since the threat is over he wouldn't be surprised to see them return early.
Relaxing too, Brahmah wonders about picking up Polo his bear from Acid city where he joined the group on the their adventure. With most of the spell casters magic spent they probably can't teleport to Acid city and back until the next day.
The mood in the Imod city is much improved with the threat of the black sphere gone. The evacuated citizens start to flow back into the city from the surrounding lands.
Several Local bards and scribes have come to get the tale of the group's adventures and how they saved the city. For historical recordings and to spread the news. There is talk of organizing a parade for the heroes and giving them metals!

OOC Scrolls... the first 2 I know definitively were used. I believe I also used the scrolls of lesser restore on Vauhwyt. Aside from that the Holy word scrolls and a Heal, not Mass heal came from Mortish and we paid for them. If they are the ones listed above I believe I used 1 Holy word, found out they were useless to us and saved the other. The heal was not used, I cast that from memory.

Malgant requires no medals nor a parade for helping to save the city from a menace that was at least partially trying to get to him. He is satisfied with the restoration of his family name. The next day he does a sending to Mortish in Plateau City. "Both Liches defeated. One destroyed, one imprisoned. Will return to you soon to deal with the imprisoned. Please ready Altar as discussed with Dimensional Anchor." Mortish can respond with up to 25 words immediately. Malgant needs to visit the catacombs, but more pressing is his need to visit his family. He sets out after sending to Mortish. Any that wish to accompany him are welcome. It has been several years since he has seen his family, after giving up the name to not shame them when he was exiled. He hopes to find his father and brother at home, since the season is not yet right for the wine caravans that they sign on to protect to be moving yet. OOC Still working on the character. Are we allowed to swap feats still under the surgery clause? I would like to change out Lightning Reflexes for Cleave if that is alright. After the trip to the catacombs I will be far wiser and more capable of casting spells due to more spells from high wisdom. My DC will also be higher, by quite a bit. Even with the full ammount, I'm gonna be broke after I order a Robe from there. I'm also considering trading in my belt for another with a couple stats instead of just one, so, if anyone is interested, I have a plus greater stamina belt (+6 con bonus) I'll give you at the 80% and split the difference in coin with you. You save some, I get a little extra. Anyone else trading up and have stuff to offer?"

Malgant, Cleric and Portector of Imod and traveler of the Wold finds himself standing in the dooryard of his home with sweaty palms and a tremble in his stomach that he has not felt since he faced Mulna Ironhand at the age of ten to gain admittance to the Heart of Imod and become a priest. What if they still want him to remain unnamed, fearing his adventuring will bring shame on their solid business as caravan guards. Swallowing his fear, Malgant walks toward the barn where he can hear the sound of weapons practice. As he approaches he cannot place the voice that drills the cut and thrust commands into the arm that clearly swings them against a practice dummy. It is not his father, the voice does not hold his father's battlefield presence. Rounding the corner he sees a young Minotaur, maybe a boy of five, drilling with a sword and shield made blunt and heavy to build muscle as the drills are performed. He remembers the items keenly since he was once their owner. Stepping further around the corner his eyes fall on Forant, his brother teaching the blade to a youngster that can only be Forant's son. In the background he can see his father, Malgore, making adjustments to his armor, preparing it for the season ahead. For a moment, all is silent in the yard. Then the youngster breaks the silence with " Father, aren't those the Heroes that they said beat the bad men with the black ball in Imod City, the ones you said they were going to have a parade for? Why are they here father?" Malgant steps forward and speaks. His gaze is level, holding both his father's and brother's gazes with his eyes. " Malgore and Forant Winterborn , Malgant, once of the Winterborn name has come seeking the honor of once again bearing that name forth into the Wold to bring only honor and glory to it. Would you have the son and brother once lost to shame back into your family?" Malgant waits for their reply with more want and desire in his heart than even when he sought the approval of the Elders. Then he knew in his heart what the outcome would be, now he only knows that for a minotaur, honor must be served first.
OOC My family are well respected caravan guards that operate on the Minotaur Isle. They protect merchant caravans, mostly of wine, during the spring and summer months when last year's vintage is taken to market. They have never lost a caravan, nor any of the people on one. Many times brigands would avoid caravans they protect due to their reputation. Can I make the surgical change dropping the feat Lightning reflexes and taking cleave in its place? Is that gold total final? Can I go to the Catacombs?

Aztyr steps outside bidding Brahmah to follow her. Once outside she reaches out and grabs firmly by his shirt or some strapping. She closes her eyes and starts a soft chant in draconic, with a motion of her hand the wind swirls around them both, Brahmah not exactly used to her castings, feels the pressure build upon his skin, it seems that he is being squeezed in upon himself from any, every and all directions at the same time. Suddenly there's a flash of magical power and the relief from the pressure is like squeezing through the eye of a needle. As suddenly as the pressure built it is gone, and they are standing in front of the Inn, in Acid City. "Call your friend, and we'll head right back where we came from, time's a wasting." After his friend arrives, "Hold him tight, it might be a shock to him the first time through."
She repeats the spell, depositing them right back where they left from, only minutes before. "Well, Malgant, I guess I'm ready, since we are now back, lead on my friend."

Vauhwyt gives Mal a hug and congratulates him on his return to honor. "There was never any stain on you that I ever saw," she tells him fondly. "But I am pleased that now everyone agrees that you are a hero!"
After visiting with Mal's family (and telling stories about his bravery and prowess in battle), Vauhwyt joins Brahmah with a trip to the WLA. She can teleport him to whichever branch he prefers. She can also teleport him to his bear for a pick up.
"Which WLA branch do you preferr?" she asks the Last Captain. "I am fond of the Dirt City one, though it is small, because I joined therre. But I'm easy, if you have a preference."
Has Aztyr completed her telepathy magic? It will be easier to coordinate our teleporting hither and yon when we can mentally chat at will. "I can't tell you what a good idea that is, Aztyrr," says Vauhwyt, pronouncing her sister liontaur's name in the wemic fashion. "Being able to just think to each other was so important in our last fight."

OK, since I am doing the math, can we buy Mookie's wand of Barkskin off of you and make it party loot? Natural armor is huge and not having to use up a slot or being able to stack more armor on top of the amulet would be even better. Additionally Aztyr can keep it charged when it is used for multiple targets so it doesn't 'run out' of power. I would be willing to pay into making it party loot, anyone else? Divy it up and let me know what it'd cost me with other respondents.
Correct me if I am wrong... the barkskin spell would stack with Taur natural armor AND with an amulet,, correct?

I have to link each of you seperatly, so there's enough magical energy concentraited within you for me to stabilize the link. (cast Permanency) I'll also need to know if any of the group wants to be excluded from the spell, if so, we'll have to use both verbal and though communication, that can get confusing in a hurry. There are also a few lower level spells I want to be effective at all times as well, on me that is. That should only add another couple days, then there's the trip to the Catacombs and to Plateau City to train with the WLA, although I'm not appling to become an officer at this time, I have enough responsibilities already. Aztyr takes Brahmah to Acid city or Acid city to them how ever the magic of teleporting works.
It doesn't take long after Bahmah calls for his bear, before Polo come running up to greet his companion as if he had been missing for months rather than the one night.
After Brahmah, Aztyr, and Polo return , Vauhwyt offers to take him to one of the WLA Branchs
Aztyr is still working on creating permanent mental links between each of her companions.
Declining an official parade the officials and citizens of Imod still declare a day of celebration in the name of the heroes, where there are street parties galore.
After the celebration has passed and streets cleaned, life goes back to normal, and the heroes have time to train and practice their arts.

Brahmah checks in at the WLA about his missing badge. After checking through the records they find the information that confirms his rank and issue a replacement badge. As for food they quickly find some fruit for Polo, because no one likes a grumpy hungry bear.

Forant motions his son to him and takes the sword and shield from him. " Enough practice for today, son. This Malgant is your uncle and the one you are named for. The uncle lost to us when the traitor Lothar maligned him in from of the Elders of the Temple and told lies about him. Rather than disgrace our family honor he left the Winterborn name behind when he was sent into exile." To Malgant he says as he stands and embraces his brother, " It is good to have you back my brother. Too long have I wanted to hear why the all knowing Father of Battle cast you out at the traitor's words. We heard of your return from exile to the temple and that your exile was lifted by Imod's decision himself, but that our name and your birthright were not returned. Mother will be so happy to see you and your companions. It isn't every day that we entertain such guests. Son, run and tell Grandmother about the gathering out here, and bring her along to see." Malgore Winterborn sets aside his armor and embraces both of his sons saying " I now have both of my strong boys back. I am a happy minotaur." Malgant introduces all of his friends to his family, saving Valanthe for last and introducing her as the love of his life. There are a few strange looks at this but no one questions him. All are welcomed to a huge meal made for working Minotaurs by good, sturdy Minotaur women with years of recipes under the belts of their aprons. They are offered lodging for the night, which Malgant accepts and uses to get to know his nephew and renew his bonds to his family. In the morning he can be found in the front yard in full armor praying to Imod by performing the sword dance he learned as an initiate. The young Malgant lies in the grass nearby watching and memorizing every step and cut, every thrust and recovery. Malgant is sure that in a few short years the Temple of the bountiful Vine will have yet another Winterborn studying the words and deeds of Imod, and his heart is glad. With promises of return visits Malgant will go with the others in the morning to Plateau City to train at the WLA.

Valanthe smiles when she meets Malgant's father. Surely there would be many question why his son is with a dark skinned elf. Luckily for Valanthe they seemed to have the manners to approach such questions.
"It's an honor to finally meet you. I know Malgant has been fighting for this day for a very long time."
She feels a bit strange. Valanthe wonders how Vorelle deals with being the only other non taur in their bunch. In times of battle its not on her mind. During downtime its was hard not to notice. It wasnt anything major. Made her understand dwarves and halflings more. Being surrounded by taller people all the time. There were a lot of thoughts running through her head. At some point she would have to really prove herself to these people. Malgant knew, but they didnt. They had never seen her in battle. How good she really was.

There is Base Natural Armor, of which Taurs have one point, and there are enhancement bonuses to natural armor, like from barkskin. An amulet of natural armor also gives an enhancement bonus to natural armor, and therefore does NOT stack with barkskin.
There is a feat, Improved Natural Armor, that stacks with natural armor and with itself if you take it more than once.

Malgant and Val deal with the mixed race issue, as Vauhwyt and Mookie play with the new barkskin wand.
Brahmah shakes his head as the WLA person misunderstands his question. The WLA clerk looks confused then respond "Made and officer? Why certainly we can see if you qualify for officer rank. There is only a simple matter of review your record and a simple test of your experience." About this time High Commander enters the room, "Officer request did I hear? Let me see Brahmah... The same Brahmah of the Brahmah Tatoos? I've got three of the things my self they are quite handy! Well Congratulations Captain Brahmah! Keep up the good work. Clerk make sure the paper work is taken care of."
The High Commander nods to Vauhwyt obviously a WLA member "Back for more training, Good! Good!" He then looks at the Gnome Mookie, "You considering joining Son? The training would do you good! Look at these two! Find examples of what you can become."
Yea, four days or longer if you need some for crafting.

OOC Notes The Dimensional anchor is set up in the temple of Gargul in plateau City per our request, it is a consecrated altar with Dimensional anchor on it as the linked spell. Aztyr and I BOTH can DA him once he is out of the gem. If we prep first I believe he will be a grease spot in under 3 rounds, unless he is as tough as the last one we took down, then it will take 5 rounds of pounding, less if Spell penetration rolls are made. I will combat load my spell list and am ready to go as soon as everyone else is, Ill set the prep spells in motion with my next post. FYI Mac and Jass KNOW how to find Phylacteries. We might want them handy when we do this, but I doubt that'll fit in Glenn's time line.

Malgant trains and visits the catacombs, coming away with the most distracting back banner you have ever seen. It is so distracting, that when he spars with any of you you sometimes miss him because it was more interesting than hitting him would have been. ( Slotless minor Cloak of Displacement, All because I found that if you have a miss chance, rogues can't sneak attack you) He also has a new headband that he wears continuously. He seems much the wiser for it and his prayers are much harder to resist while he wears it. When Vauhwyt and the others are ready he will accompany them to the Temple of Gargul where Mortish has prepared a Dimensional Anchor altar so that they can keep the lich from running when it is released.

Valanthe watches Malgant. Everybody might not see it but she does. To her it seems that he moves as if a great weight has been lifted from his shoulders. In a way she guesses that it has.

OOC Really, she opens it in the training hall without prep spells or anything? If thats the case after all the work she did to catch it I am inclined to let it run, that's just Dumb. IC Malgant looks aghast when Val offers to look for a way to change herself just to satisfy his family. He had never even considered asking her to do that, mostly because he himself could not imagine life as another race. For all of his wisdom he is caught totally speechless. He stares at her and fumbles for something to say. With his normal blunt truthfulness he says" NO! I would never ask anything of the sort of you. If it is indeed both of our Gods will, as you felt it was when we met that we be together then neither of us should have to change to appease them or anyone else. Spells: The usuals as marked on my PC sheet: barkskin, contingency, detect scrying, false life, greater magic fang (two), greater magic weapon, heroism, magic circle vs evil, magic vestment, shrink item (many). Ditto Mookie. Plus the standard spell for spell trade with Mal. Plus greater Invis on both Mookie and me. Plus contingent greater invis set up for both of us, plus resist fire for both of us and elec and cold for me.
It seemed a given to me that this applied to the spot in the Temple that Mortish had prepped, when we were all ready. Not at the WLA. Sorry if that was not clear.

<Rant On> Nope it wasn't clear to me. I replied to your post answering all your questions and saw nothing in return. Ten conversations are going on all at different points in our game timeline and it isn't in any way clear where we are. Rushing to fight a 20th level critter that can end any one of us with a gesture and a couple of failed saves is a bad idea. Just have Kathy DM the last fight or DM fiat it or not award the xp and have us break to level if we are on a tight schedule.

Before anyone can react the lich crumbles to dust. Weather the Lich's phylactery was destroyed in the blast or the soul trap effectually broke the connection between the Lich's body and his phylactery is for anyone to say.
There is 60,000gp of gear left in the pile of Lich dust.

During the days spent training at the WLA, Aztyr also slipped in a few spells.... She cast Comprehend Languages, Darkvision, Read Magic, See Invisibility and Tongues, and made each of them Permenant.

Casting Telepathic Bond on Vorelle, Aztyr makes that permanent as well, on the day the last lich crumbles to dust. "I can handle 5 more Bonds today, but then I'll be exhausted afterwards. Those who wish to be joined, just say so, and we'll get it cast."
Aztyr takes Brahmah to the side, "I can make Greater Magic Fang permenant on yourself and on Polo's claws and fangs. I immagine Malgant wouldn't mind it on his horns, and I'd like to get it cast on both sets of my claws.... These." She flexes her forelegs and the claws pop out, "And these". She holds up her hands as she concentraits for jusr a fraction of a second, each of her fingers has a razor sharp claw extending out of where her fingernails normally are. Vauhwyt hands the phyalctery to Mal as he asks, "Now what are we going to do for the rest of the day?"
The liontaur grim trickster smiles and says she has an idea. "I want to go back to Fledgling Bay, on Blackbird Lake, where I wanted to build a home just a few days ago. I want to finish the base platform that rises from the lakebed up to the water line. On that platform I want to make a statue of each of the five fledglings, as a memorial. With my new Fabricate spell, it should not take too long. A day or two, tops."

Well, 13th level Vauhwyt can carry herself plus four "people-equivalents" with her on a teleport. Aztyr can carry herself and five. We now have

She reaches out her hands to Vorelle and Mookie, and teleports them to Fledgling Bay.
Mookie looks around. "Bay? Bay!?! Boss, this ain't no bay. It's more like a ... a ... puddle."
Vauhwyt looks around, and agrees with the accuracy, if not the rudeness, of her familiar. "Okay, okay. Let's call it 'Fledgling Cove,' then."
She stands at the water's edge, front paws in the water of Blackbird Lake, pointedly ignoring for now the stone box that served as a cage for her friends, after the fledglings were taken from her.
"In honor of those who are lost to me now, I christen this place Fledgling Cove!"
She stands for a minute, and her tears drip into the lake. Mookie pulls a handkerchief out of his mistress's Haversack and offers it to her. "Here, wipe your nose, ya big baby," he says. A careful onlooker will see that his own raven's eyes are wet too.
After wiping away the tears, Vauwhyt gets to work. She needs to finish the four stone columns that rise from the bedrock under the lake, 50 feet under the surface. She needs to make a platform that the four clumns will support. And then she has to use her Fabricate spell to make the statues. Using her Wall of Stone and Stone Shape spells for the job, plus her new sixth level spell slots, it should not take too long, considering the work was already very well started before the fledglings were kidnapped. She uses her rowboat (carried, shrunken, in her Haversack most of the time) to get out there as needed.
To get stone for the statues, she stone shapes the box/prison that the traitor druid made into pieces that she can shrink via shrink item. She carries them out to the platform, unshrinks them, and then uses her Fabricate spell to make the statues.
Craft check to make statues, enhanced with Heroism: 27.
"Boss, that's not your best work," says Mookie, critically. "Are the eyes supposed to be looking off in different directions?"
"Hush up, Mookie," growls Vauwhyt. "I'll scrap these and try again in the morning when I have fresh spells.
She stone shapes the ugly statues into blobs and tosses them to the bottom of the cove. "It was a bad idea to use that druid's stone. I was thinking it would be empowering to put his foul rock to a beautiful use, but I figured wrong. Tomorrow I'll use fresh stone."

She repeats the spells on Valanthe, Vauhwyt, and Mookie, with the following warning."Mookie, you may now be linked with us, but remember this about your normal remarks.... Malgant was raised in a faith, and then joined the same faith, I'm sure he could make your life hell by a constant chanting of some of the Priestly vows he knows.... Or worse, I could start off on one of my tangents, but you are used to Vauhwyt's thinking already, so that might not be much of a threat."

Last chance if people want in on the telepathic bond, 4 are linked, Brahmah and Vorelle are the two to make final decisions, Vorelle had said no, but she can change her mind if she wants.
Ok, we need to decide now where we list permenancied spells... on this page or just on our character sheet?

In-character, everyone can have a break of a few weeks, sure, as long as you end up at Blackbird Lake at the end of them.
In the real world, the first post of the new module goes up Sunday night, so everybody get your act together by then. :)

Next day, Vauhwyt tries again at statue making: a 41, much better.
She tells the group she needs a week to read her new book and practice the excersizes in it. Other than that, she is hunky dory.

In the morning while Vauhwyt is doing her sculpting, Aztyr has other plans, and she expects Malgant will need her as well.
Aztyr activates her Dragon Claws (decided on wolverine style) The claws grow out of the space between her knuckles on her hands. Aztyr having already pulled out a couple scrolls, First thing she does though is cast Greater Heroism (grants a +4 to all skills). She then takes the first scroll, (emulate a druid roll needed a 2 (less than that, but a 1 always fails)) (just rolling the D20, rather than confuse the situation.) Starting to read it, (need to emulate 19 wisdom need a 2( same as above)) and then activates it. (needed a 3(so a 1 or 2 would fail)) What happens then is a bit strange her claws glow with energy, She then casts a Permenancy on the spell, making her Dragon Claws magical. She then retracts the dragon claws, (down to 10 rounds of 11 available) Then she extends the claws of her four paws and again goes through the efforts to cast the scroll. (need a 2, 2 and a 3 to succede) As she finishes reading the scroll, the claws of all four paws get the same glow to them. She then casts Permancy, making them magical as well.
Since she has already "blessed" her robe with Wold's blood, she decides to refill her personal storage. Her first attempt is a failure, Mookie thought the wrong phrase just as she was concentraiting her hardest and distracted her. (drawing Wolds blood, to fill up storage, need to roll a 1 (so a 2 because 1 always fails.Base DC is 10+ 5 per drop drawning, need 4 drops, so a DC 30, Aztyr's skill is at 34) Her second attempt goes much better and she gathers enough of the Wold's Blood from the surrounding area and pours it from her palm into her container.

Back in the Giggling Ghost, Jass waves and smiles and shakes hands and gives hugs to the many heroes of the Wold, and especially Happy and Daphne, some of the first people he met when whisked away to the Northern Continent.
Ending up next to Atzyr, Malagant, and Mac, the sorcerer waves two scrolls. "And it looks like we'll be seeing you fairly soon, eh?"
Jass urges Mac to retire to an unused room. The sorcerer first uses the Scrying scroll to find Atzyr at Fledgling Cove, then uses the Greater Teleport scroll to whisk himself and the minotaur to the spot.
As soon as he gets his bearings, he smiles at any greeting party and says. "The name is Jass by the way. Jass of Downs."

Malgant is helping out Vauhwyt when the teleport happens. Steel fills his hands as he turns toward the sound of the incoming people. Seeing Jass and Mac, from the dreams he had of the Ghost, The Minotaur relaxes and sheathes his sword." Welcome to our more hidden home. They are Grey Knights, slayers of the Dread and have consented to come and teach us how to be rid of Liches once and for all. Their experience is vast and greatly needed because of our current opponents who may or may not have been destroyed along with Mount Bone. Please make them feel welcome." When time allows, Malgant approaches Aztyr." Aztyr, I know you are busy making all of our telepathic bonds permanent, but if you have the time I have acquired a scroll to enhance my horns and was hoping that you could make that permanent like your claws."

I'm a bit busy right this second, I'd like to take a moment with Malgant, before a spell wears off, and compleate the scroll he's supplied for him". Aztyr takes the scroll, standing in front of a kneeling Malgant, so she can easily reach fis horns. She opens and starts reading the scroll. (need a 2+ to emulate a druid, need a 2+ to emulate a 19 wis, and need a 3+ to emulate level 20 spellcaster) Highlight to display spoiler: { (talk about near heart failure as I saw the numbers come up)} (all can read if want too, it's just a comment.)
As she finishes the spell reading from the scroll Malgant's horns glow with power (Greater Magic Fang+5). She then starts casting another spell, which settles over Malgant's horns and makes it permenant. (cast Permenancy)
She looks over to the new comers, "Well, if you're gonna be with us, I will also make the offer to you as well. I'm casting Telepathic Bond, and making it permenant if you are interested in joining the link. Malgant, Valanthe, the elf over there with the heavy armor, Vauhwyt, my sister Liontaur, no not an actual sister, but family none the less, and her friend the Bird, his names mookie, and often is in the form of a gnome when we are in battle. The other two are still making up thier minds, Brahmah the other Minotaur, and Vorelle our tracker and ranger."
Aztyr waits to see if they are interested or not. One less spell to cast, saves her some magic that can be used offensively when she gets down to the last dregs of magical energy.... Like she was the other day during the final Lich battle for the Orb.

The dark taur follows along with the introductions - Vauhwyt and Mookie are familiar to him, though not as a gnome and not outside the Giggling Ghost or Catacombs. "Many shadows Vauhwyt... and Mookie!"
"Captain Brahmah is here? ...was here? How is he faring? Is he still in the company of Polo?"
The name Vorelle doesn't ring any bells. He hopes the meet the ranger, though.
"I can see the benefits, but if my addition strains your resources then I'll forgo the spell, Aztyr."
Speaking of strains, he finally stops to check out what the adrenalin has been hiding. "I could use a little resting up to heal before taking on that evil though."

with a word of thanks to Imod, Malgant reaches out a hand and heals Mac's wounds ( Heal 160 hp)." Better? just don't get used to it in battle. I usually prepare our forces for the fight, but only stop to heal if someone is gravely wounded. Many times, with opponents hitting me and Imod sending half of whatever hits my love Valanthe to my body as well, I end up being that gravely wounded person. The Father of Battle expects his protectors to lead by example, so as long as you are in the front fighting, I will be nearby should you be too badly hurt."

She is a slender human woman with gray eyes and dark-blonde braids. There is an empty quiver on her back and three hatchets sheathed in her belt. She spends much of her time scouting, and seems a little on the quiet side.

"Hey, hey", protests Jass with a couple raised hands. "Mac and I were latecomers to the fight with the liches, and the phylactrity finding was mostly done by a cleric witch whos pals with this north Power called Gargul...was able to find souls from a couple hundred feet away."
"Now, you want some well-travelled protectors who have been everywhere from Sargrass Plains and Ice Vien to Floating City and a Flying Castle over the Scab... yep, that's us!"
Jass is interested in the Telepathic Bond. "Would be right valuable in battle, eh? I'll be sure to supply the diamond dust for the spell."
The sorcerer looks around to check out what the place looks like. "Atzyr and Malagant, eh? And three others named Vauweet, Valanthe, and Vorelle. And all girls? Never adventured with a girl before. Must be good in a fight though."
Then the pale man turns a little more pale. "Brahmah? Here?" He looks around, his air of supreme confidence dropped a little. "Tell me he has mellowed a little?"

Aztyr looks over to Jass, then smiles a toothy grin."You're mistaken my friend, I've found ways around needing materials for my spells, it's much better the way I do it. Now, just stand still, I promise this won't hurt much." She laughs and then casts both spells required to add Jass to the link and make it permenant. "See, only hurts for a few moments."
