bingo. and that because this is pre-adventure and a one time thing for the Scry and the Greater Teleport, I wasn't going to put it on his sheet at all. This is only a deus ex machina to get the two adventureres to the right spot.

PS - and it is a characterization that Jass deliberately has no teleportation spells.

Well, 13th level Vauhwyt can carry herself plus four "people-equivalents" with her on a teleport. Aztyr can carry herself and five. We now have

So we can still blip the party around from place to place so long as ONE of the minotaurs is reduced before blipping.

Vauhwyt you forgot 1 more large "person" who needs to travel also..... Brahmah's friend Polo.
But then again, that's why I bought a wand of reduce person last trip to the catacombs.

Aztyr pulls out her wand and taps both Brahmah and Polo with her wand and then grabs both of them, plus Malgant and Valanthe."See you by the Lake Vauhwyt". With that, She casts her teleport and her group arrives not too far from the edge of the lake, and the unfinished startings of a home for them.

"I was really hoping, we could have had a home we could call ours. I know I'm probably the last of us you expected to hear that from, huh Mal?"

Vauhwyt answers her sister Taur, "Aztyr -- good point!"

She reaches out her hands to Vorelle and Mookie, and teleports them to Fledgling Bay.

Arcane Spell Fail: 64 = A-OK
Teleport Error: 70 = A-OK

Mookie looks around. "Bay? Bay!?! Boss, this ain't no bay. It's more like a ... a ... puddle."

Vauhwyt looks around, and agrees with the accuracy, if not the rudeness, of her familiar. "Okay, okay. Let's call it 'Fledgling Cove,' then."

She stands at the water's edge, front paws in the water of Blackbird Lake, pointedly ignoring for now the stone box that served as a cage for her friends, after the fledglings were taken from her.

"In honor of those who are lost to me now, I christen this place Fledgling Cove!"

She stands for a minute, and her tears drip into the lake. Mookie pulls a handkerchief out of his mistress's Haversack and offers it to her. "Here, wipe your nose, ya big baby," he says. A careful onlooker will see that his own raven's eyes are wet too.

After wiping away the tears, Vauwhyt gets to work. She needs to finish the four stone columns that rise from the bedrock under the lake, 50 feet under the surface. She needs to make a platform that the four clumns will support. And then she has to use her Fabricate spell to make the statues. Using her Wall of Stone and Stone Shape spells for the job, plus her new sixth level spell slots, it should not take too long, considering the work was already very well started before the fledglings were kidnapped. She uses her rowboat (carried, shrunken, in her Haversack most of the time) to get out there as needed.

To get stone for the statues, she stone shapes the box/prison that the traitor druid made into pieces that she can shrink via shrink item. She carries them out to the platform, unshrinks them, and then uses her Fabricate spell to make the statues.

Craft check to make statues, enhanced with Heroism: 27.

"Boss, that's not your best work," says Mookie, critically. "Are the eyes supposed to be looking off in different directions?"

"Hush up, Mookie," growls Vauwhyt. "I'll scrap these and try again in the morning when I have fresh spells.

She stone shapes the ugly statues into blobs and tosses them to the bottom of the cove. "It was a bad idea to use that druid's stone. I was thinking it would be empowering to put his foul rock to a beautiful use, but I figured wrong. Tomorrow I'll use fresh stone."

" After that Val and I will be going on a vacation, somewhere that doesn't require armor and deathward spells as prerequisites for walking in the door. I would help with the stonework, but I was prepared to kill liches, not build things today. As for the phylactery I have no need of it. I do not question whether my actions are those my Lord Imod wishes me to take because he is clear in his teachings. Help others, protect those who require it and crush those who would harm the weak. Simple tenants that sum up his life. Also Yes Aztyr, please link my mind with the others for communication." Despite not having prayers prepared to help, Malgant offers his strength to assist in any way he can to get Vauhwyt's platform and statues completed.

The raven pauses for a minute, as the implications sink in. "You mean I could taunt the Cowboy here whenever I wanted? Anywhere in the Wold?! In his mind!?! Oh, yeah, baby, count me in. I really WOULD love it!"

Since they are staying here for the night, "I can cast the four that have asked for right now. I can link 3 or 4 more as well, but no one else has replied as to if they want the spell or not."
Aztyr then casts Telepathic Bond on Malgant, then makes it permenant with Permenancy. She repeats the spells on Valanthe, Vauhwyt, and Mookie, with the following warning."Mookie, you may now be linked with us, but remember this about your normal remarks.... Malgant was raised in a faith, and then joined the same faith, I'm sure he could make your life hell by a constant chanting of some of the Priestly vows he knows.... Or worse, I could start off on one of my tangents, but you are used to Vauhwyt's thinking already, so that might not be much of a threat."

Quietly to Val, "We're here because Vauhwyt wanted to make a memorial, it's only a brief stopover, trust me. We'll get somewhere away from the forrest and take a piecefull break so we can all relax.
Well, that's the plan as it stands right now. I know I want a few days to wind down, and you and Mal have plans. We deserve a break, and after Vauhwyt makes her statues in the morning, I will be ready to rest and relax."

Next day, Vauhwyt tries again at statue making: a 41, much better.

She tells the group she needs a week to read her new book and practice the excersizes in it. Other than that, she is hunky dory.

In the morning while Vauhwyt is doing her sculpting, Aztyr has other plans, and she expects Malgant will need her as well.

Aztyr activates her Dragon Claws (decided on wolverine style) The claws grow out of the space between her knuckles on her hands.
Aztyr having already pulled out a couple scrolls, First thing she does though is cast Greater Heroism (grants a +4 to all skills).
She then takes the first scroll, (emulate a druid roll needed a 2 (less than that, but a 1 always fails))
(just rolling the D20, rather than confuse the situation.) Starting to read it, (need to emulate 19 wisdom need a 2( same as above)) and then activates it. (needed a 3(so a 1 or 2 would fail))
What happens then is a bit strange her claws glow with energy, She then casts a Permenancy on the spell, making her Dragon Claws magical.
She then retracts the dragon claws, (down to 10 rounds of 11 available)
Then she extends the claws of her four paws and again goes through the efforts to cast the scroll. (need a 2, 2 and a 3 to succede)
As she finishes reading the scroll, the claws of all four paws get the same glow to them. She then casts Permancy, making them magical as well.

Since she has already "blessed" her robe with Wold's blood, she decides to refill her personal storage. Her first attempt is a failure, Mookie thought the wrong phrase just as she was concentraiting her hardest and distracted her. (drawing Wolds blood, to fill up storage, need to roll a 1 (so a 2 because 1 always fails.Base DC is 10+ 5 per drop drawning, need 4 drops, so a DC 30, Aztyr's skill is at 34)
Her second attempt goes much better and she gathers enough of the Wold's Blood from the surrounding area and pours it from her palm into her container.

Back in the Giggling Ghost, Jass waves and smiles and shakes hands and gives hugs to the many heroes of the Wold, and especially Happy and Daphne, some of the first people he met when whisked away to the Northern Continent.

Ending up next to Atzyr, Malagant, and Mac, the sorcerer waves two scrolls. "And it looks like we'll be seeing you fairly soon, eh?"

Jass urges Mac to retire to an unused room. The sorcerer first uses the Scrying scroll to find Atzyr at Fledgling Cove, then uses the Greater Teleport scroll to whisk himself and the minotaur to the spot.

As soon as he gets his bearings, he smiles at any greeting party and says. "The name is Jass by the way. Jass of Downs."

Malgant is helping out Vauhwyt when the teleport happens. Steel fills his hands as he turns toward the sound of the incoming people. Seeing Jass and Mac, from the dreams he had of the Ghost, The Minotaur relaxes and sheathes his sword." Welcome to our more hidden home. Friends, allow me to introduce Jass of the Downs and Machesthai called Mac to those he knows and trusts, which I hope we will become. They are Grey Knights, slayers of the Dread and have consented to come and teach us how to be rid of Liches once and for all. Their experience is vast and greatly needed because of our current opponents who may or may not have been destroyed along with Mount Bone. Please make them feel welcome."
When time allows, Malgant approaches Aztyr." Aztyr, I know you are busy making all of our telepathic bonds permanent, but if you have the time I have acquired a scroll to enhance my horns and was hoping that you could make that permanent like your claws."

"Hi again Jass, you also Mac. I'm a bit busy right this second, I'd like to take a moment with Malgant, before a spell wears off, and compleate the scroll he's supplied for him".
Aztyr takes the scroll, standing in front of a kneeling Malgant, so she can easily reach fis horns.
She opens and starts reading the scroll. (need a 2+ to emulate a druid, need a 2+ to emulate a 19 wis, and need a 3+ to emulate level 20 spellcaster) Highlight to display spoiler: {
(talk about near heart failure as I saw the numbers come up)

As she finishes the spell reading from the scroll Malgant's horns glow with power (Greater Magic Fang+5). She then starts casting another spell, which settles over Malgant's horns and makes it permenant. (cast Permenancy)

She looks over to the new comers, "Well, if you're gonna be with us, I will also make the offer to you as well. I'm casting Telepathic Bond, and making it permenant if you are interested in joining the link. Malgant, Valanthe, the elf over there with the heavy armor, Vauhwyt, my sister Liontaur, no not an actual sister, but family none the less, and her friend the Bird, his names mookie, and often is in the form of a gnome when we are in battle.
The other two are still making up thier minds, Brahmah the other Minotaur, and Vorelle our tracker and ranger."


Aztyr waits to see if they are interested or not. One less spell to cast, saves her some magic that can be used offensively when she gets down to the last dregs of magical energy.... Like she was the other day during the final Lich battle for the Orb.

"Malgant, Mac is just fine - and easy to call in a hurry." he adds with a closed-lipped smile.
"That said, consented is a stretch - puts me up somewhere I'm not. I believe we can help if you want us, but I'm not here because of a title - I'm the same taur who carried our fallen for days in the Sargrass. You have a fight against evil, and I'm not shy about getting my hands dirty for a good cause. As far as the teaching goes - that's Jass' field."

The dark taur follows along with the introductions - Vauhwyt and Mookie are familiar to him, though not as a gnome and not outside the Giggling Ghost or Catacombs. "Many shadows Vauhwyt... and Mookie!"

"Captain Brahmah is here? ...was here? How is he faring? Is he still in the company of Polo?"

The name Vorelle doesn't ring any bells. He hopes the meet the ranger, though.

"I can see the benefits, but if my addition strains your resources then I'll forgo the spell, Aztyr."

Speaking of strains, he finally stops to check out what the adrenalin has been hiding. "I could use a little resting up to heal before taking on that evil though."

Aztyr walks over to Mac, when he consents, she casts the two spells, adding Mac to the group mentally and shaking his hand welcoming him physically as well.

with a word of thanks to Imod, Malgant reaches out a hand and heals Mac's wounds ( Heal 160 hp)." Better? just don't get used to it in battle. I usually prepare our forces for the fight, but only stop to heal if someone is gravely wounded. Many times, with opponents hitting me and Imod sending half of whatever hits my love Valanthe to my body as well, I end up being that gravely wounded person. The Father of Battle expects his protectors to lead by example, so as long as you are in the front fighting, I will be nearby should you be too badly hurt."

"Thank you, Malgant. That feels much better. If I'm not on the front-line, then I'm on my way or something has gone awry." He stretches out, and takes a look at the Lake (or the Bay on the Lake) mentally drawing comparisons with the Floating City.

She is a slender human woman with gray eyes and dark-blonde braids. There is an empty quiver on her back and three hatchets sheathed in her belt. She spends much of her time scouting, and seems a little on the quiet side.

"Hey, hey", protests Jass with a couple raised hands. "Mac and I were latecomers to the fight with the liches, and the phylactrity finding was mostly done by a cleric witch whos pals with this north Power called Gargul...was able to find souls from a couple hundred feet away."

"Now, you want some well-travelled protectors who have been everywhere from Sargrass Plains and Ice Vien to Floating City and a Flying Castle over the Scab... yep, that's us!"

Jass is interested in the Telepathic Bond. "Would be right valuable in battle, eh? I'll be sure to supply the diamond dust for the spell."

The sorcerer looks around to check out what the place looks like. "Atzyr and Malagant, eh? And three others named Vauweet, Valanthe, and Vorelle. And all girls? Never adventured with a girl before. Must be good in a fight though."

Then the pale man turns a little more pale. "Brahmah? Here?" He looks around, his air of supreme confidence dropped a little. "Tell me he has mellowed a little?"

Aztyr looks over to Jass, then smiles a toothy grin."You're mistaken my friend, I've found ways around needing materials for my spells, it's much better the way I do it. Now, just stand still, I promise this won't hurt much." She laughs and then casts both spells required to add Jass to the link and make it permenant.
"See, only hurts for a few moments."
