Turning back, Zeoll reaches shore again as he is a big furry cat and cats hate water.

Wyaar reaches the winch while the rest wait on shore. The rope is thick and he begins to cut at it when he becomes visible. Luckily the fog is hiding him from sight from the rest of the crew, except for the winch operator who is very surprised at Wyaar's sudden appearance. The call goes out that there is an intruder and the winch operator grabs up a harpoon.

1 round of action. Wyaar has initiative and the rope is almost cut through.

Zeoll wishes he could be of more help. He thinks about his few remaining tricks ...

Hey! The range on his Calm Emotions spell is 170 ft. He'll wade chest-deep into the water to get as close as possible (move action) and cast his Calm Emotions spell on the ship, into the fog cloud -- Will save DC 23. He'll concentrate on it. Who knows? Maybe it will stop an attack on his friend.

If Zeoll moves out 30', I'll need a swim check. The edge of the shore drops off rapidly into the lagoon and he'll be in deep water.

With a thrust of his harpoon, the winch operator misses Wyaar before he can finish his cutting of the towline--which snaps under the enormous strain of the goldfish. Taking refuge from further attacks, Wyaar ducks under the curve of the ship, out of sight.

A very rude expletive that even causes Wyaar to blush, comes from topside. It is the captain and he is none too happy about what has happened and turns his attention to the group on shore."Incendia!" he yells out as he points to the group and then suddenly all around them a fireball erupts.

Everyone, except Wyaar, make a DC19 Reflex save or take 37pts of damage from a fireball. Save for half.

Zeoll (HP49 of 49, AC23, CMD15)  d20-3=5 ; d20-3=-2 ;
Thursday November 8th, 2012 12:51:19 PM

On Oct. 29, Kindly DM Jim said, "The ship is approximately 250' from your camp/shore." Zeoll's range is 170 ft for Calm Emotions. So Zeoll would have to move 80 ft into the sea from shore to cast the spell, the last 50 ft in water over his head.

His swim check has an armor check penalty of -1 and a racial penalty of -2, so Zeoll is at -3 to make swim checks. For him to swim 50 ft out, per the rules, would take him 5 move actions (2.5 rounds). Add in the 30 ft of shallow water as a move action, for 6 move actions total (3 rounds); and at the end of one round, Zeoll would be 40 ft from shore, if he makes his swim check.

Zeoll rolls a 5 on his first check and a -2 on his second check.

I think it is safe to say that per the Swim rules, Zeoll is 40 ft from shore and completely underwater when that Fireball hits. He is holding his breath (first round of 12).

Needless to say, he has NOT cast his Calm Emotions spell. :-)

My posting frequency has been crap ever since I got sick a while back and I'm hoping it will get back on track. My workload has increased and I'm just dogtired at the end of the day, mentally, so I've been putting off what I think could be possibly crappy posts from me, but I'm aiming to change that. I guess the discussion about the DM migration is kicking me into gear cause it looks like I'll be moving on to another game and I don't want this game to end on a whimper, more of a bang. Bosk nods in agreement as he tends the children. I agree that finding a way to get the dragon's attention is our best bet as it seems he has some attachment to the goldfish, but I am at a loss as to how to relay the information to him. Restlin, did you happen to see the way to his cave...lair...wherever it was that he brought you? I'm honestly surprised he didn't see the fireball or witness the goldfish getting caught. I kind of assumed he would be keeping a close eye on us, just in case we were as unscrupulous as these folk. In the meantime, I think we should consider spreading out a little, so that we are less able to be wiped out by a single fireball, and someone should lead the children farther away from the range of that wand.

Another hook in the water
Friday November 16th, 2012 12:14:58 PM

Just as some had thought, the winch operator--muttering to himself about something, attaches a new fastener to the end of the winch line, making it ready to be secured to another line if there's a bite.

As seconds pass, no bite comes.

Down below the giant goldfish trails a long fishing line attached to a winch line that's been cut. If it snags on something, it could rip the hook out of the fish, or worse, tangle the fish in it's own line--possibly killing it eventually.

Beriothian (Will)-- AC:23/16/16 HP: 62/62 CMD = 23 (hero point spent)
Friday November 16th, 2012 7:25:03 PM

There is a 50/50 chance that I could disable it before they kill me... but there isn't much way of me avoiding the being killed part. Even invisible they would spot the water dripping off me. And the second they notice the winch disabled the would firebomb the children again on the assumption it was one of us. We learned from the last sabotage that they don't care about killing the guilty person, they will firebomb anyone they see within range.

What we really need to do is to talk to this fish, but that would probably require catching the fish first unless we had magic that could... that's it! The blessing of the edge would allow us to talk to the fish's spirit. We could ask the fish what bait to use to lure it, or how to scare it away from the boat. We can probably get enough info during the conversation that we can find a way to save the fish without looking like we are obstructing the fishermen. If only we knew the fishes name we could talk to it much longer.

Bosk cocks an eyebrow, why would a fish have a name. Suddenly the synapses in his brain shoot into overdrive as he concocts what is sure to be either an absurd idea or an epiphany bordering on divine revelation.

Two by two, hands of blue......I fight for true love, scoundrel!...a bounty on a goldfish....

Thwack!!! Bosk slaps his hand hard upside head. I might be a little slow on the uptake today, and I understand if Restlin cannot confirm this, but I just thought of something, what if that goldfish is not really a goldfish! What if it is really another dragon!!!

Think about it, Two by two, hands of blue......I fight for true love, scoundrel!...someone placing a bounty on a goldfish!!!

If I am right Beri and I can use our wonder twin rings to change into something water breathing and call to the "fish", since he knows how to speak dragon, and I have remove curse prepared and can hopefully undo whatever is keeping her changed into a fish!!!

ooc: I hope I am not the only one to have completely overlooked this possibility for so long. I am feeling really, really, really stupid at the moment despite coming to this revelation.

Thinking a bit longer the cleric corrects himself. No, not a curse, a baleful pilymorph spell...that would transform it and make it forget it's language and it's past. Thank Gargul I prepared Dispel Magic today as well, and that I didn't use that spell to heal anyone. Luck has been on our side tonight. I don't think we can communicate with the fish, but if I can get close enough I can try to dispell the magic on it. What do you all think?

I say we cast what ever buffs we have on me, have Beri and I transform, and I will try to help the fish withought getting eaten or speared. Any thoughts?

If we do this Bosk will give his raise dead scrolls and chit to someone else to hold onro.

"Well, here goes nothing..." The wizard wordlessly contacts The Edge. Truth be told he has no idea how he does it, but he trusts it will work.

He concentrates on the fish, hoping to find it's spirit before him & willing to answer a few questions...

***

Mr. Jim, here's the text of the gift Restlin was given:

Each of the party members now can do either one of these options, whenever they want.

They can read the spirit of any one creature, once. If they know the creatures real name, the duration of the conversation is much extended. The questions will be answered by the spirit in a neutral manner, despite the alignment of the creature and ones weakness can be discovered as well as other things, but the spirits knowledge is limited to what the creature being read would know normally. (Six rounds or six minutes if the creatures true name is known.)

OR

The characters spirit will transcend their body and travel to The Edge in a flash of an instant. There, they can over look the cosmos of time and balance and ask any one question, as profound or mundane as they desire and receive an immediate answer, that is as correct as possible, depending on how the question was asked.

I'm using option 1. Let me know how you'd like to handle things.

He's good underwater...wait, where's Zane?"

Restlin looks around, but can't find him. "How does a 20' tall minotaur just vanish? What sorcery is this?"

The wizard casts prestidigitation & does something wholly out of character: he makes Bosk and Beri smell bad. "Maybe you won't get eaten if you're unappetizing. Zeoll, let's move these kids."

It may not be as suicidal as you think. He responds to Beri. We have the sound of the waves covering our voices a bit, and my words will be didficult for them to hear if I am under water...and I don't think fireballs will be as effective under water. Perhaps we could transform in Restlin's Rope Trick area or climb in my bag of holding first, that should minimize the sound right?

OOC: Dispel Magic with hero points boosting it could do it!

Bonus: If used before a roll is made, a hero point grants you a +8 luck bonus to any one d20 roll. If used after a roll is made, this bonus is reduced to +4. You can use a hero point to grant this bonus to another character, as long as you are in the same location and your character can reasonably affect the outcome of the roll (such as distracting a monster, shouting words of encouragement, or otherwise aiding another with the check). Hero points spent to aid another character grant only half the listed bonus (+4 before the roll, +2 after the roll).

If say four of us go with Bosk to help, and we all use a hero point in the attempt, we get a +24 luck bonus on the dispel roll. Maybe we can use the swan boat to get out there? Zeoll can't swim, that's for sure!

Uh, Bosk... we have a pretty abysmal record when it comes to casting spells in secret. Do you think that with the sound of the ocean and their distance that we can act without being noticed? If not, we may want to plan a way to cover up our actions first. Perhaps have Zeoll lead everyone in drinking song like *loowie loowie* to help take notice off our actions.

Bosk almost loses his balance as his legs fuse together and his hair weaves itself into shimmering blue scales. As he looks around his vision sharpens and he is exceedingly grateful for the return of his low light vision. After looking around in the water for a bit he spots the giant goldfish sitting on the floor. Quickly he estimates the distance to make sure his spell will be within range of the fish.

Speaking in a low voice he says Guys, I see him. Please bestow whatever boons and words of encouragement you have on me as I cast this spell. I have no way of knowing how powerful the person who cast this spell was, but I could use all the help I can get.

ooc: To be fair I wanted to ask for help before rolling my caster level check. I will use a hero point, but if anyone else could spare a Hero Point for a bonus I would appreciate it.
[b][i]Bonus: If used before a roll is made, a hero point grants you a +8 luck bonus to any one d20 roll.

Invisible tendrils of energy stream into Bosk from his companions as he invokes the spell that will hopefully dispel the supposed cursed magic on the goldfish. In a flash, the world is turned upside down. Bosk is buffeted by a sudden water wave so fierce it throws him reeling back into the coral wall of the lagoon and darkness threatens to enshroud his mind.

Bosk takes 39pts damage, save DC20 REF to take half damage.

Also, make a DC20 Will save or be knocked unconscious for 3 rounds and begin drowning.

Those on the shore and in the fishing boat, see an enormous dragon explode from the lagoons bowels, sending a torrent of sea water high into the air and then raining down on all those in the area with a heavy pelting of both water and sealife.

Flapping it's leathery wings until it crested the height of the 50' atoll walls, the breaking light of dawn shone warmly on the golden scales of the dragon, all 100' of her. Crumbling under her weight, the edge of the atoll barely held as she landed on it and howled at the fishing boat--All aboard abandoned ship. Even those on shore felt the unbearable urge to flee.

Everyone except Bosk, please make a DC30 Will save or become Shaken

Taking in another huge breath, the dragon cranes it's long neck upward and breaths fire far into the sky above, lighting up the entire area like a beacon of terrible power.

When she lowers her gaze, it becomes locked on the group on the shore. Her piercing eyes see through all of you as she decides what your fate is to be.

Suddenly Bosk draws upon the last of his power and opens his eyes. Spitting the blood from his mouth he looks for Beri and swims to shore with him (towing him if necessary) towards his companions.

It isn't until he is swimming back to shore that he spots the dragon, who must have left the water as he struggled for consciousness. He has no idea what is going on until he hears Restlin addressing the dragon. WHOO!!! WE DID IT GUYS!!! I COULD NEVER HAVE BROKEN THAT SPELL WITH OUT YOU!!! Bosk yells out to the group out of instinct. The adrenalin coursing through his veins, the excitement of having broken such powerful spell, the need to to give credit where it was due after a sub-par performance on his part, and the hope that it will help the dragon separate friend from foe, but the reasoning is subconscious the truth is Bosk is filled with pride, honor, and relief that they are all still alive.

Once on the shore line he struggles a bit to get out of the water, but he does so and moves towards Restlin, embracing him in a bear hug and swinging him around.

Tuesday December 4th, 2012 11:32:46 PM

Bosk looks with awe upon the dragon as it approaches, taking in the majesty of Gargul's handy work and upon learning they are related wonders at the marvels even further. Gargul created the chromatic dragons and with them nearly defeated Alemi, creator of the metallic dragons. Now the gods have a more harmonious relationship as do these dragons. It never ceases to amaze the cleric how the natural world seemed to mirror the heavens of its own accord. The signs of the gods re everywhere if one knows where to look for them. Everything seems to align as the dawn breaks and the shadows of the day grow out of the dark of the night, the cleric of Gargul's traditional time of prayer and meditation.

Bosk listens as the dragons converse and is a bit jealous that Restlin gets the opportunity to ride on the back of such a magnificent creature, and he wonders what the dragon's cave looks like. Are there hoards of treasure on the ground as in the story the halflings tell, or perhaps chromatic and metallic dragons caves are as different as Gargul and Alemi themselves are.

As the dragons take flight Bosk checks to make sure the sailors are not about to cause any trouble, although he assumes they will be jumping back on their boat and sailing away before the dragons decide to be less merciful, and heals himself and any group members that need it before beginning his daily devotional. In order to keep the children close by and out of trouble he takes out some more rations and drinks for the group to share.

(Assuming the coast is clear) The cleric turns towards the liontaur and says, Zeoll, I lost track, did you need me to charge any of those staves as I ask for Gargul's blessing? Remembering how dirty the weapons that harpooned him were, he makes sure to prepare a remove disease to cast on himself as a precaution. During his meditation he thanks Gargul for inspiring him to prepare dispel magic and remove curse for the day and reflects on the luck he had of having won the foil wrapped balls of water breathing that they used to get the kids out of the cave and the magic rings he and Beri won that allowed them to take on merform in order to find and free the goldfish. Items they only had by the luck of the gods. Then to see the dragons up close and to earn a reward above what they were offered for finding Toby, this truly has been a blessed day. It killed Restlin. And even if is did bring him back, life and death are not for fooling, he thinks in the privacy of his own head. Zeoll was dead forr too long to take it lightly.

"Oh yes, good Bosk," Zeoll says distractedly. "Herre arre the staves. They both need charrging. Thanks!"

Burn the land, boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.
Wednesday December 5th, 2012 12:14:54 PM

Flying high into the sky, the blue dragon dives and turns and spins--sending Restlin into a state of wonderful delirium, if you could call it that. It is a thrilling ride as the pair approach a series of small islands and the dragon lands on the center one. Walking his way into his cave, Restlin sees the familiar sight of his lair, strewn with gold, and many other objects. Lowering his head to let his rider off, the dragon explains the details of his reward for Restlin. "You'll put on this blind-fold, then the first thing you touch with the point of your finger, is yours. Good luck." Doing as he said, Restlin sets out on his quest to find something good. "You can use your foot to feel around, but if you touch it with your hand, it's yours. Watch out for that dead fish I caught awhile ago."

Satisfied he may be onto something, Restlin reaches down and touches soemthing cool to the touch and then grasps it by the hilt. Lifting it from the floor of the lair and taking off his blindfold, he sees he's holding a shortsword as black as night. "Ah, so it looks like you've chosen the Gloom blade, interesting. May it bring you much luck in the future young mage."

Grabbing a chest full of gold, Finn motions for Restlin to climb back on, and then the pair leave the dragon's lair and head back to the group.

About an hour passes and the sun has risen when Restlin and the dragon land at the small atoll. During that time everyone has prayed and studied for their spells and kept a close eye on the fisherman as they reboard their ship and set sail--under a watchful gaze of the group, back out into open waters.

Dismounting, Restlin feels a strong sense of accomplishment as he and the others are bid farewell by the dragon. "I thank you for your assistance in releasing my Nana. I hope this reward in some part relays my gratitude for what you've done. If we should meet again, I might kill you, don't take it personally. Thank you and good journeys!"

Finn the blue dragon launches himself into the air and heads Eastward, the direction his grandmother had gone, leaving the group an unlocked chest filled with 60,000gp.

Restlin has completed his Luck Quest. Congrats!

Everyone receives 5000xp's for module completion and 1 hero point.

Restlin scratches his head as Finn flies off.

"What a jerk," he thinks as the dragon fades in the distance. The wizard turns to face his friends. "New rule! Until we can take one in a fight, the Iron Adventurers do not meddle in the affairs of dragons. Zeoll, write it down somewhere."

He walks over to Beri & hands him the Gloom Blade. "Here, take this before I accidentally chop someone's arm off with it. It cuts stuff better when it's dark out. Seems appropriate for you."

(OOC: Knowledge, Arcana: 31 to know what that blade is)

Despite the fact that he died horribly and the fact that the children they rescued from hypothermia and starvation are mostly ingrates, Restlin is pleased with the situation. Coupled with the fact that his robe ensures he stayed squeaky clean the whole time, the wizard can't seem to wipe the smile from his face.

OOC: another question, I've only gained 1 level since character creation, about 18 months ago, I thought we were to gain 2 levels a year or am I mistaken?

ADM James Two levels a year is an average target, but it varies from games to game (some are significantly slower than ours). Part of it was the timing of when you joined. I gained a level right around that time. I have leveled twice in 18 months and am about 2/3 the way to my 3rd level up. The Hook City campaign is also a wealthier campaign. Despite large legal fees and tens of thousands in fines from the city we have higher than normal wealth, and that is before you count crafting.

Bosk laughs at Restlin's new found energy, but his face turns dead serious when he mentions not seeing Gimp the Imp. It is Gimp's job guides souls safely to receive their judgement, it is a bad omen if he wasn't there to greet you. You must have offended the gods and been found unworthy and destined to wander the land of the dead for all eternity. The cleric pauses a moment before giving a large grin. Or it could be that Gargul knows when people are destined to live and to die and he knew that it wasn't your time yet. I imagine he also gives people a little time to mentally process what just happened and time enough to realize what the odds of their returning to life are. Gargul might know your destine, but people are stubborn and will refuse to go with him if they feel they may resurrected soon and it is not worth Gimps time arguing with those people.

At the mention of food Bosk glares at Toby. I just gave you a taur sized ration, that should be enough to feed four kids your size. Then, as the kid eyes the treasure Bosk says to the group, What to you say I put our reward in my bag of holding? I might be built like an ox, but I don't relish the idea of carrying that heavy thing around or risking it falling overboard if the water is rough on our way back.

Looking out into the bay Bosk says, Didn't we see a bunch of shipwrecks on the way in here? What do you say we head on over there and check them out. There might be something of value that was left inside. Any Iron Adventurer's want to join me?

Do you guys think we need to worry about that strange shopkeeper coming after us for saving the dragon? This is probably something we should report to the city officials. Besides, that chest carried 1,000 lbs of gold, it is a nice chest and you never know when it will come in handy. My bag of holding holds 1,000 lbs, so I can carry the chest and most of my stuff with a little rearranging (my load is currentlt light). If I need to I can dump out my water and rearrange a few things I just prefer to keep things out of sight and avoid tempting others in the first place. I also know there are a few among us that cannot carry their share.

The captain and his crew help stow what the group has, namely the chest--since nothing else was found on the other wrecks other than waterlogged and unserviceable mundane items--there didn't seem to be any corpses left either.

The trip back to Hook City is uneventful and it's almost hard to relax cause of all the gold onboard and the likelihood of pirates--which are unheard of in this area, always spring to mind. But the journey was peaceful and the kids quiet. When you arrive at the docks, the captain orders his crew to help unload the groups goods. Some of you think that it would be a very wise idea to hide the gold or not speak of it in such an environment.

I have materials to craft a few items for myself, but most of them aren't a high priority. Anyone who is crafting, I need the name of the item, if you're using Gillans Fast Forge, how many days it will take (one item taking 3.5 days and another taking 3.25 days is a total of 8 days--you cannot start crafting a magic item the same day you have finished one) and your spellcraft rolls unless it's an autosuccess.

Zeoll (HP49 of 49, AC23, CMD15)  d20+10=30 ; d20+22=34 ;
Wednesday December 12th, 2012 6:56:34 AM

Zeoll goes to bed pondering the dilemma of what magical item to make next. That night he has a dream ...

Zeoll stands in the rooftop garden of the Iron Tower the group's home. It is night, and the sky is clear -- clearer than the always-on magical lights and mundane smokes of the city would ever allow in reality. Zeoll looks at the stars, and he reaches up to them. They are too far for him to reach, but he strains ... up ... up ...

In his dream, there is a constellation of a great warrior striding the heavens. Does such a constellation exist in the Wold's night sky? In Zeoll's dream, it is Great Orion, the Hunter, but to Zeoll it is clearly the constellation of Domi.

Domi, who once said to Zeoll, "Now it is up to you to prove that all three aspects of Taur can unite in spite of their differences...that all three make up a nigh-unbeatable force for good in the Wold." Zeoll remembers how his group did not unite the Taur races. Could not even stay united as a band of adventurers, and fell apart.

Zeoll reaches up to star-Domi. He leaps up ... up ... and his fingers barely touch the god's belt ... and then he falls ... down ... down ... back to the Wold. The giant figure laughs at the prone liontaur, removes his belt, and tosses it down to Zeoll. Somehow, it is not the belt that he expected ...

Zeoll wakes, and tries to interpret his dream. He decides that it is an answer to his question: What should I make?

The next day, Zeoll goes shopping in Hook City for the finest leather, and a platinum buckle, beautifully crafted. After all, can Hook City -- the Wold's most magical city, be a lesser place to shop than the Catacombs? He gathers all the ingredients he will need. He will spend all of his loot from this adventure, and also his Manacles of Cooperation -- never used, although Toby had tempted him.

Zeoll will spend the next 16 days crafting a Belt of Physical Perfection, +2. At the Catacombs, the parts would cost 8,000 gp -- but Zeoll will spend more to source the parts locally. The Spellcraft DC to make the CL17 item is 22. He cannot cast the three spells -- bear's endurance, bull's strength, cat's grace -- required. That hoists the spellcraft DC by 15, to 37. Zeoll's spellcraft is at +10. He says -- for the first time in many years -- a brief prayer to Domi, and does his best. Amazingly, he rolls a natural 20! A spellcraft check of 30! Praise Domi!

Of course, a 30 is still 7 under the required DC. Oops, it seems that Zeoll has missed the DC by five or more, with his natural 20. and per the rules, "Failing this check by 5 or more results in a cursed item (see Cursed Items for more information)."

Zeoll looks closely at his new "Belt of Physical Perfection +2," wondering what he has wrought. He casts Identify, a spell he does know, and takes a really close look.

Spellcraft check to ID his magic item: 34.

I'm planning on going to the Catacombs and buying a Belt of Dexterity and a couple beads of Campfire. The latter will be of use to the group, but I'll pay for them.
I'm also interested in getting a continual flame cast on the burner inside my hooded lantern. That way I have a light source that I can shut off and on."

I can cast continual flame if you take care material components. I suggest taking the wick out and casting the spell on that rather than the whole lantern. It will make it easier to cover up the light when you want darkness.

Zane, was there something you said you wanted me to craft for you?

ooc: I can do it for free if Jim lets me summon a lantern archon and he allows it to cast the spell, but I try not to abuse that trick.

Jim: if you have the spell, use it. Other than combat, Summon Monsters can be useful in other applications and I think they should be used when you can.

While Bosk contemplates which of his personal projects he will do he begins work on Restlin's efficient quiver. He prays for guidance and a steady hand, slightly worried about not being able to cast one of the spells. Fortunately luck is with him and the wizard and he is not only able to easily craft the item, but he could have rushed it a bit more and gotten it done in half the time without a problem. Smiling he hands it to the wizard. On the outside of the quiver are two scenes of Restlin, one depicting him fighting a dragon with a straight razor and and the other of Restlin riding proudly one the dragon's back carrying the black blade as his trophy. It turned out rather well, if I do say so myself.

Restlin arrives home feeling far dirtier and tired than he's comfortable with. A long bath tinged with lavender oil and several hours of sleep later, he's much better.

Inspecting the Gloom Blade further, it strikes him that it was his reward from Finn. As such, he decides to keep it, mounting it for the moment above his bed. Perhaps it will bring him luck some day.

The next morning he heads out for the Catacombs to blow all his hard earned money. He spends the next several days pouring over scrolls and copying them into his spellbook. Ironically, the Confusion spell confuses him, taking him a straight two weeks to figure out.

When handed his new quiver, Restlin's eyes light up. "This is great, Bosk! It looks just like that stupid dragon!" He's more than happy to spend the next several days upgrading Bosk & Zane's rings o' protection to +3.

However, after 27 days of all this wizardy stuff, Restlin's ready to come apart at the seams. "THIS IS SO BORING," the wizard cries out one afternoon. "Isn't there someone trying to invade the city or kidnap it's children? If we don't go adventuring soon, I'm having a come apart."

Zeoll foolishly decides to try on his enigmatic new belt. He's not completely crazy, though ... he'll do so one morning in the tower common room with everyone on hand who is willing to (witness the fiasco / risk the fireball) ... after he divests himself of all his other magic items and spell components pouch ... with Heroism cast on himself and both his Natural Divination abilities set to help his saving throws!

OOC: Can anyone cast a remove curse?

OOC: And DM Jim, how much did Zeoll have to (pay / waste) to source the materials locally? The Catacombs would have charged 8 grand. You want I should roll some rolls to gather info on best/cheapest magic shops in the city?

Bosk spends much of the next few weeks crafting in the tower working on a variety of projects both for himself and for the group. It is tiresome work, but his ring of sustenance helps him to work steadily without even needing breaks for meals. When he is not working he checks around with his contacts to see if anyone had heard from Heather's family and to see if Toby has gotten into any more trouble. In the evenings he spends his time training at the WLA and improving his skill with the bastard sword.

Before Zeoll tries on the belt Bosk asks him to use his divination power to see if he can discover anything about the gold box they retrieved from Lowd or the location of Heather's Family. As the liontaur puts on the belt Bosk stands ready to remove the curse if necessary.

So liontaurs can't wear pants...could they get away with a blanket slot? Far be it from me to compare them to mounts, but something like a horse-blanket should be doable.
