Hert continues to wait outside, nervously tugging his beard and staring at every passerby, trying to determine level of threat from them.

Gerox, still invisible, continues to explore the warehouse looking for other clues and incriminating evidence while keeping an ear on Harvest conversation. Out of the corner of his eye he can see Harvest Moon grinning and waving as Peza appears. "This is Peza," she says, introducing the boy. "I think you are a good boy to help your father guard this warehouse. If you find yourself in danger, find the compound of the Woldian League of Adventurers. Tell them that you have met us. They will give you and your father protection." With a friendly wave to the young boy Peza adds, ...Yes you can always call us for help ... your doing a great job in helping your father here." With that, Harvest Moon leaves, rejoining the others.

Gerox notices Harvest leaving and scurries after her, not wanting to get locked into the warehouse. He ducks around the corner and dispels the invisibllity as Harvest speaks. "I think that the uniforms of the guards came from the crates," she says after telling them of the things that she found. "I think that there must be many false guards in Rum by now. We must hunt them. Them, and, perhaps, this merchant who owns the warehouse. We should relay this too the captain of the guards at once. I am sure that if he isn't in on it then he needs to know about it."

"How do we plan on finding them?" Brom says as the others take in the suggestion. "We got rebellion in Rum. I got no problem dealin' with them."

Barratore shakes his head a bit confused, "I kill and eat what I hunt, so I imagine you mean something else." Barratore is up for about any plan the group puts together. Some people have brought in uniforms, those people carry the insignia of trouble makers here in Rum as well as the people behind the attacks of The People. That made them very bad indeed and Barratore would see proper justice met out. Brom, however was very right. "How do we find them?"

"We seek all guards," replies Harvest Moon. "The false guards have new uniforms. They also wear the sign of the three upon their swords. The true guards we will warn. The false ones we will bind or slay."

"Harvest is right Peza responds. ... the imposters carry the three bar insignia on their swords ... most likely they have a patch or small amulet of some type also ... just guessing but they need to have some type of signal so they can tell who is who. We'll send another message to Captain Theringer with what we have gleaned ... maybe even Scully and his group also were working on this idea. But i think its best that we move away from here ... back to the WLA compound and warn them to be on their toes ... we might be a target for the imposters ... since we work with the fixers "

" We are now judge, jury and executioner I see. " Edson says. " Before we start the slaughter we should report this and make sure some mercenary group wasn't hired to fill out the ranks. Unless they provoke a fight with us of course."

With those final words the League Adventurers head back towards the WLA and send another message to be delivered to Theringer, who has not yet returned, and warn those in the compound to be on their toes. After a brief conversation you learn that the Captain of the guard is in the center of the city by the main crossroads in preparation for the Fixer's big demonstration. The construction of the final element of the city.

Barratore has a seat at a table once the group is back at the compound. Seemed there was a lot of rushing about to do something without any idea of why. The fighter liked a bit more order than what was being generated. That and he saw nothing that said rebellion. That was a mighty strong word and carried a great deal of weight. There had not been any mention of the possibility of rebellion by Theringer when all of them were sitting discussing the other incidents in Rum with the faction carrying the three bars. Why does 6 uniforms suddenly make a rebellion. The more he puzzled the less convinced he became things were so very dire.

As Peza makes her arrangements and sends out her letters the rest of the League Adventurers check to make sure they are prepared and head out to the center of the city. You feel tense and suspect some treacherous actions from the tri-bar group as you leave the safety of the WLA compound, but it doesn't take long before the joy and excitement of the city breaks through your defenses and lowers your guard. It is as if the perfectly designed city is effected by neither time nor space, neither suffering nor death; and you feel as if you could live out your years in the peaceful land of Rum. Green are the groves and pastures outside the city, bright and fragrant the flowers brought from around the Wold, blue and musical the streams, clear and cool the fountains, and stately and gorgeous the tower Magnificent tower.

As you near the crossroads the sound of a party travels down the street to your ears and you can hear the magically magnified voice of one of the Fixers speaking of the good that comes of a planned city under Fixer leadership. Suddenly a globe of golden light envelopes the area, growing steadily to the size of a large building and then shrinking back down into the form of a colossal public fountain and there is a spontaneous outbreak of joy and mirth from the crowd who begin drinking and even bathing in celebration of the completion of the final piece of the city, a glorious monument marking the historic accomplishment. Not wanting to miss the excitement you quicken your pace and move quickly towards the crossroads to get a better view.

Of this land there is no bound, for beyond each vista of beauty rises another more beautiful. Over the countryside and amidst the splendor of our city rove at will our happy folk, of whom all are gifted with unmarred grace and unalloyed happiness. From our towers we can see entrancing panoramas of loveliness, our city a glittering beacon of hope and inspiration to be emulated by the the cities of the distant horizon. They will forever refer to our fair city as the abode of gods in which stands temples of pink marble, rich with painted glories, fountains of gold and silver and...

The broadcast suddenly stops. You can see the fixer spokesman still talking with several other of the Fixer leadership around him, but a new voice is being broadcast. "These men claim to have your best interests at heart. They claim this city is a symbol of hope. A beacon for the those who need guidance. This city is a hive of corruption and has been since its inception. The time for new leadership has arrived."

The city guard suddenly surrounding the podium draw their weapons and rush the stage, along with several of the WLA Guard. The Fixer leadership is caught unaware and several are cut down. A great battle has started and scene is chaos as the crowd panics and begins to flee. There are guards fighting guards, WLA fighting WLA, and it is unclear who has been corrupted and who who has not.

The sudden commotion destroys his revery and he springs into action, drawing his blade and making to keep up with Brom who charges past him. "To Theringer! Brom! Get to Theringer!"

Her keen eyes watching for the new uniforms and the marks of the Three. "Enemies have the mark of three gold bars on their swords!" she calls out.

"Head for the stage " she says as she tries to coordinate the groups actions amidst the sprawling chaos.

Gerox trots along side the rest and says, "Look for leadership of these traitors. Cut them down and the others will flee." Finding himself falling behind, the sorcerer quickly casts an expeditious retreat spell on himself and springs ahead.

Charging forward you watch helplessly as the carnage unfolds before you. Looking on in horror you watch as Theringer, your superior and trusted friend, falls in a crumpled heap weltering in a pool of blood. As the body drops Edson's eyes grow wide with fury and he watches as a well dressed merchant pulls a jeweled short sword from the fixer's back and returns it to his belt. Next to him several guards stand locked in mortal combat, and at this distance you find it impossible to identify if any bear the tri-bar emblem. There are citizens taking up arms to support both sides of the conflict, but the majority of the citizens continue to flee in panic, hampering your movement and getting in your way.

The street is now difficult terrain filled with obstacles until the citizens can clear out (1-2 rounds). I hope to get a map up this weekend, once I hear from those that haven't posted yet. I will let you place your characters accordingly once the map is up.

He has little thought, but to gets to Theringer. Shouting, cries of pain, the chaos and randomness of battle rages about. He needed to get to Theringer. The others would call out targets and could organize what was going on

Here is the Fountain Map. Please let me know where to place your characters. You are coming up from the bottom of the map and started 300ft from K7.

As you charge forward you watch as the guards attack civilians and fixers alike and quickly determined which warriors are among the tri-bar guards. The screams of terror from the fleeing citizens is horrific. Quickly you get into position, hoping to help the fixers and their supporters, but as the pools of blood grow you realize just how devastating the attack was. They were caught unaware, unprepared, and in many cases unarmed.

Tri-Bar turn

The tri-bar guards turn and smile in an almost deranged fashion as you approach, almost as if they thought their job was going to be too easy and that they are glad for the challenge. From behind the fountain one of the guards glare at you as he swings his long sword with such force that it decapitates a fixer where he stands, never once turning to acknowledge his victim. To his left another guard sinks his sword deep into the side of a fixer. The fixer grimaces he begins to cast a spell (spell craft 17 to identify) and watches as one of the loyal guards swings a glancing blow off the tri-bar's armor. All around you swords echo off of armor. Both Harvest and Hert find themselves catching their breath as swords crash into them with more force than they would have expected.

Strikes of enemy swords leave mere scratches on Hert's armor. They will need more than that to get thorough defenses that withstood giant's attacks. He takes a moment to examine the battlefield. He looks for captain Theringer. If there's no way the captain is alive, he will select the most injured high-ranking fixer.

He ignores the mercenaries as he rushes to his target, and reaches out to him, and releases a healing light, that will help them to survive a little longer.

Edson smiles a bit, having killed the man who killed Theringer. He quickly reaims to the man behind Hert and sends two arrows flying. The strikes of enemy swords leave mere scratches on Hert's armor. They will need more than that to get thorough defenses that withstood giant's attacks. He takes a moment to examine the battlefield. He looks for a high ranking Fixer to heal. He looks around at the fallen, most of them already on their way to Gimp the Imp who will lead them to Gargul for their judgment. There is but one high-ranking fixer left on the field. Although Hert doesn't recognize him, his outfit reveals his rank and the guards surrounding him guarantee he won't live much longer. Ignoring the mercenaries, he rushes to the fixer, and reaches out to him, and releases a healing light, that will help them to survive a little longer.

The the tri-guards continue their attack, focusing more on the fixer's than you or the official guards, their deadly attacks on the retreating reveal their complete lack of mercy. Two of them surround the last of the high ranking fixers, but but their swords find nothing but air as their attacks go wide.

Edson turns to the two guards running down the road to his right. He fires his bow at one of them, the magic of Gerox aiding his speed.

Across the battlefield Barratore steps quickly up to the tri-bar attacking the fixer, zigging and zagging to avoid any oncoming attacks as he passes the guard. The metallic clang of steel striking his armor leaves a ringing in his ears, but his armor proves true and deflects the blow as he strikes with a powerful thrust to the man trying to take down fixer before him. The guard waivers, and to Barratore's surprise continues to stand and fight. With a quick pivot the minotaur roars as he brings the gore covered blade down on the mans neck and sending a spray of blood across the ground as the guard drops his sword and falls to the ground. (ooc: I made the assumption that you would prefer to keep attacking the guard since he wasn't dead. Note that not all enemies have the same HP and stats. This is doubly true when I depict some with different weapons or armor.)

Brom using his acrobatic training moves to H5 to help the guard figuring Barratore can handle the others. The barbarian swings mightily at the false guard, but the attack is all strength and no finesse and the tri-bar easily side steps the blow.

Hert steps in between the nearest fixer and the nearby false guard, shielding him and drawing his sword. He swings his sword, trying to land a hit on the enemy, the flat of his blade bouncing off the guards armor. The pale face of the guard turns and glares in Hert's direction.

Down the street anger burns through Peza as fixers take a beatdown from the imposters ..... Peza lines up another imposter with a shiney new uniform .... she snaps the trigger ... a perfect shot !!! deep into his chest ....

"Down with the imposters .... slay the tri-bars !!!! ... rally to WLA !!! .... defend the fixers and Captain Theringer !!! " shouts Peza to the guards

"We must capture one of them," Harvest Moon calls to the other. She circles the periphery of the melee and grabs onto one of the guards shoulders before throwing him onto the ground and in to a grapple.

Meanwhile Gerox scans the battlefield and notices that Barratore and Brom should clean up the fighting by the fountain very quickly. He follows Edson's thinking and sends three balls of energy at the other guard coming down the road way unerringly striking him in the chest as he continues his cries, yelling. "Fixer's to us! Enemies Turn

The guard, having just side stepped Brom's attack screams in fury as he swings his sword in a giant arc with strength to match the barbarian's own, and like the barbarian's, his impressive swing lacks the finesse and accuracy to penetrate his opponents defenses.

Behind the fountain a battle of epic proportions rages on as both the tri-bar and true guards land devastating blow after devastating blow. Each hit tearing off chunks of armor and sending sparks flying into the air. Each man giving his all with no regard for their own life.
(There were three confirmed crits, one for each side consisted of double nat 20's!!! Miraculously no one died.)

Admist the chaos the grapples guard tries futilely to stab Harvest Moon, but finds himself unable to move under the tight elven grip.

From the east the two guards split up. The first one charges full speed towards the fixer, his sword drawn. Both he and the fixer exchange blows, neither able to draw blood. The second guard snarls and charges towards Edson determined to repay him for the arrow in his side. The force of his attack combined with the speed of his charge nearly knocks Edson over as the guards sword cuts a gaping gash into his arm. (Edson takes 10 dmg)

From the West the two guards give each other a quick nod before charging into battle, positioning themselves to attack.

DM JamesI believe you could also drop the bow as a free action, take a 5ft step as your move action and draw your sword as a free action as part of your move action (assuming your BAB is higher than 1) and then attack as a standard action.

Brom let's his rage take over and turns his attention to the enemy before him. The rest of the Wold seems to melt from around him until only he and his target are left. Time after time he swings his sword, obliterating the guards defenses and sending him crashing to the ground in a pool of his own blood.

Behind him Edson pulls his arm back from the gash. He side steps and throws his bow at the guard. At the same time his long sword is drawn and readied for the attack. Tri-Bar Turn

Above the fountain the tri-bar guards continue their relentless onslaught on the true guards. The men fight valiantly, but the length of the unexpected battle takes its toll as both guards seem to slow and are quickly taken down by the tri-bar. They take just enough time to wipe the sweat from their eyes before turning to face the league adventurer's and charging in. One towards Brom to avenge his fallen comrades, the other to Harvest and her pinned prey.

Below them the hired mercenaries swing wildly at Barratore and the Fixer next to Hert, their swords glinting in the sun and the sound of clanging metal resonating through the air. They are the attacks that would bring cheers from an adoring audience in a Colosseum, but in such a heated battle they are too slow and too showy and they find their attacks easily side stepped and deflected.

Clang As Edson draws his sword the guard brings his blade down upon him, easily finding the gaps in his armor and drawing more blood. I though you were going to make things interesting for me. Come on, give me your best shot! The guard taunts as he withdraws his weapon and opens his arms up mockingly. (Edson take 7dmg)

No. The +5 in the CMB is this: "If you do not release the grapple, you must continue to make a check each round, as a standard action, to maintain the hold. If your target does not break the grapple, you get a +5 circumstance bonus on grapple checks made against the same target in subsequent rounds."

Her hands now free, she faces the swords of the new challenger. (I tried my best to tie him up on the map)

Brom turns his attention to the approaching guard. In a fury of flesh and steel he unleashes his rage giving up finesse for brute strength. The guard is barely able to deflect the first blow, but the second attack runs him clean through. As he drops before Brom a final attack separates his head from his shoulders, all but ensuring that no healer will be returning the guard to this plane.

Edson smiles at the tri bar guard. The wounds hurt but he wouldn't offer the satisfaction of showing pain. He lunged forward with a shot that showed he was better marksman then swordsman. Their attacks become more desperate as they try to finish off the fixers and break the ropes binding the guard, but the swings seem to have no heart behind them and two of the guards almost topple over off, balanced as they swing.

The guard next to Hert calls out as he swings his sword, You are all ready too late. Plans have been in place since this cities founding and they culminate today! We may die, but we have already won! With an ease that appears close to leisure, Harvest Moon reaches for her new attacker and takes him in a grip that is deceptively strong for one of as small a size as Harvest Moon and begins twisting his arm behind his back.

"Hert, get to Edson. I have these two." with that said, Barratore steps into and strikes the wounded man nearest him with a deep single thrust sending him on his final journey to the Shadow Real. Pulling the blade free the large minotaur spins quickly with a reversing thrust to the guard just in front of Hert, taking advantage of his great height and reach to attack over his fellow leaguer's head.

"I will not pray to Gargul for your soul. You don't deserve it, whatever your goal is." - replies Hert as he strikes at the the guard next to him twice only to have the blows skillfully blocked.

As the battle rages on Gerox keys in on the whistle blowing loudmouth guard and thinks, "This one might know something" He decides to try and weaken him for capture. He raises his hand and murmurs a few words and points at the offending guard, but suddenly winces in pain as a butterfly lands in his eye. The first swing rings home but the second one is harmless. "Miserable fool.. you die with your cause.".......You first! comes the reply as the guard plunges his sword deep into Edson's. At the fountain the guard continues struggling futilely to break his bonds, but he soon comes to terms with his predicament and watches as Harvest tries to grapple another guard. She is successful at first, but in the blink of an eye he breaks her grip and takes a step back before dropping his axe and putting his hands around his mouth and whistling three more times. *Tweet*....*Tweet*....*Tweet*...but once again nothing happens.

Brom moves to O10.

Brom is for the most part oblivious to the chatter going on on the battlefield. He knows the Fixers and the WLA have been attacked. The Fixers pay the bills and the WLA give him a roof. More that all of that, these meat bags were workin' with the giants and orcs. This fueled his rage, made him more angry, and powered his BAS.

Brom swings at the Tri-Bar guard at P11.

Three whistles. A signal. Harvest Moon spares a glance about herself to see what this mercenary might be signaling for, but sees nothing. This does not prevent her from reaching out again and capturing the Three Bar Mercenary again. With a quick and fluid grab she takes him again. "If we are too late, then why tell us of something we can do nothing about?" she growls at the man.

Brom hurries across to field towards Gerox and the guard attacking Edson, for the most part oblivious to the chatter going on on the battlefield. He knows the Fixers and the WLA have been attacked. The Fixers pay the bills and the WLA give him a roof. More that all of that, these meat bags were workin' with the giants and orcs. This fueled his rage, made him more angry, and powered his BAS. Brom swings at the Tri-Bar guard, but the guard easily ducks under his sword.

"Hert if you don't get to Edson, you'll be following him!" Barratore growls and moves in line with Edson to flank the guard.. "Hold on Edson!" he calls as he moves in on his opponent with a upward cutting swing. Once again the guard easily side steps the attack, but Barratore isn't slowed as he lets the great blade arc up and over his head and into the warrior still engaged with Hert, putting an end to him before the guard can react.

The uarmed tri-bar tries to break Harvest's grapple, but this time he he is unable to break her grip. I tell you that you are too late so that it will be known that we succeeded. So those that died here may do so with honor, having fulfilled our obligation! Next to him the bound guard begins rocking back and forth as he strains at the ropes. Quit that! The fixer yells as he tries to kick the guard, but falls down as he slips in a puddle of blood. (Nat 1)

To the South the guard tries to move out away from the numerous blades swinging at him. He swings his sword once again at Edson, but this time his blade finds nothing but air.

"So it is not over." whispers Hert as he sees the new enemies. He raises his hand to his forehead to invoke a spell, but changes his mind at the last moment. He draws his sword once again and walks up to one of the golems. A simple strike turns out pretty bad as it fails to reach the golem.

"Yes." Is all Brom responds to Barratore's statement. The barbarian moves to defend the Fixer -moving to N4. He rages and lets his BAS swing into the magical creature.

Fixers are falling enmass it seems .... the tribar attackers plan has done its damage .... now the clay golems are here to finish the job .... Peza turns to the nearest Fixer .... "Run !!!! just Run !!!! the golems cant keep up with you ... Run !!! find safety .... just Run !! ' shouts Peza to any survivors. She grabs the nearsest one by his shoulder ... pulling him away towards the fountain .... away from the golem threat ... "we'll try and hold it off ... to give you time ... " Hoping the fixer follows her advice Peza turns and reloads her weapon .... quickly taking aim at the massive concoction of clay .... she snaps off a desperate shot ... at the nearby Golem

Surveying the battle of the fountains .... Bodies are piling up .... the damage done to the fixers is crushing ... the tribars have already changed the balance of power in the city .... the sheen of of hope in the new city is now covered in rivers of blood .... Anger stirs in Peza .... this Tribar poison must be stamped out ..... Rum must not fall in the abyss of corruption by the Tribar imposters

Edson takes aim of the golem that Peza fired at and lets fly. The first arrow is possibly the truest arrow he has ever fired, The second arrow, not so much. He thought to himself how bad he felt for the golems. Sure they where scary, but did they ever meet a triple sized minotaur?

Gerox knows that he is all but useless against the golems. His studies have told him that his spells would just bounce of the creatures but he sees 2 false guards left and he grins an evil grin. He moves and raises his hands. Fire leaps from them searing spreading in a cone and striking both remaining guards, one of them getting hit dead on in the chest, the other just managing to get his arms up in time to shield himself and shielding off some of the heat.

Harvest Moon takes up the gnarled root shaped in the fist of Domi and calls a blessing of martial prowess to her small body. Then Harvest Moon speeds across the field of contention to come in on the far side of both of the golems. As she does so, she draws the Polearm from her back.

With Brom heading for the far golem instead of simply stepping to the one right in front of him, Barratore hesitates, unsure of what to do. With Brom off, though, Barratore is able to step up and attack, and that is what he does. Deciding to strike as many times as he can, instead of precision. Unfortunately he soon realizes he will need to use all his skill to land a penetrating hit on the magical construct.

The Fixer follows Peza's directions and moves behind her for protection. Immediately the golems follow after him, the first one missing terribly and the force of his missed blow cracking the road around him. The second casts Haste upon himself and charges around the other side of the Fixer as one of the guards, still smoking from Gerox flame, moves around the fountain. Again the Fixer is able to side step the blade.

Gerox grins as he watches the fame dissipate only to find the remaining guard charging through the flame after him as he draws another blade from his belt. Gerox braces for the inevitable impact of the guards blade, but the blow never comes as the guards sword swings high over his head.

"Not to you, Peza!!!" shouts Harvest Moon. It has been plain that the Three Bars have been targeting the Fixers to the exclusion of all else. For her friend to draw the golems to herself would be dangerous in addition to being ineffective. "Go to Barratore Steelwind!" she cries to the Fixer! "To Barratore Steelwind! He will protect you!"

On the wings of Gerox Shale's magic, Harvest Moon races across the field. Her polearm swings at the damaged golem, but she strikes not to injure. She strikes to distract. The Rager will come for this one, and when he does, he will now find it easier to cleave it.

Something tugs at the back of the mind of Harvest Moon. There is something in the way that the Fixer failed to revive after receiving the blessing of Hert of Gargul.

And then she knows. "Cursed wound!" she cries out in warning. "If one is struck by a shadow, the wound will not close without the most powerful of healers."

But the Fixer might still be saved. If she cannot heal his wounds, perhaps she can at least keep him from dying.

Harvest Moon abandons her polearm. With dives and dodges she weaves her way around the golem to reach the far side and gain a place beside the fallen fixer. She had seen this done before, but had never done it herself. And yet, she must try. With little heed to the two nearby foes, Harvest Moon attempts to stop the fixer in his slide toward death.

OoC: You know it always amazes me how creatures in this game ignore downed foes when things are convenient and attack them when it suits someone's agenda. I also find it curious that they can so easily tell whether an enemy is dead or unconscious whereas we do not have that information.

DM James As a typical rule I post if an enemy you are fighting or next to is dead or unconscious. The exception being when they are all NPCs and you are too far away to tell, that may require a check. Sorry if I overlooked any. If I ever overlook some let me know. If you can reasonably tell I will let you know or roll for it.

(This is a general rule. There are always exceptions and special circumstances. I also usually give enemies a motivation and style in advance, or in this case your previous DM did.)

Edson draws back the string on his bow and aims carefully at his target. Two more shots fly towards the standing golem. One manages to penetrate deep into its shoulder, the other flies high and lands clatters as it ricochets off the cobble stone.

Brom hears and feels cracking through his body from the golem's last blow. The barbarian is undeterred and returns his strikes back at the golem, but he finds his power somewhat diminished and his attacks wanting.

Next to him Barratore takes three more strikes at the golem, but only lands a single glancing blow. While the two men attack the construct Harvest Moon runs around the golem and grapples the lone remaining Three Bar Mercenary. His arms are slippery and covered in sweat, but she just manages to keep her grip.

Peza feels helpless as the Golem and tribar guard relentlessly attack the fixers without regard for themselves .... suicidal ... whoever is behind the Tribar's is indeed devious and deceiful enemy. Reloading another bolt ... Peza snaps a quick shot at the golem ... hoping it will finally fall from their combined assault ... the bolt flies true and the sharp cracking of clay can be heard as the projectile sends a growing fissure across its face and destroys the magical creature.

Hert gasps, when the enemies finish off one of the fixers right in front of him. "Why would you even do that?" - he asks one of the guards, shocked : "You are as good as dead anyway. It won't get you any favors on the other side."

He waits for the enemy to deliver a series of blows and tries to heal everyone again....but the guards never attack.

We did it because that what we were hired to do. The guard says as he puts his arms in the air. We were hired to help the people and the WLA overthrow an oppressive regime so that they might be free.

ooc: We are now out of combat rounds

Monday November 11th, 2013 2:12:04 PM

The unending years of her life within the Contested Kingdoms come back to Harvest Moon in an instant. Years of fear, hiding, starvation, and uncertainty. Despite the impact of the memory -or, perhaps because of it- the half-elfish retains her hold upon the Three Bar Mercenary.

"You know nothing of oppression." The weight of her emotion threatens to overwhelm her. Even so, her voice is calm. It is even. It is even quite focused. "What do you have planned to replace the order of law? Tell us why it is that your order is better than that which you have just slain?"

"Who hired you? What else did you plan to do today?"

Barratore finds the guard's tactic a bit odd and demonstrates a problem with disarming yourself as his blade slams into him, knocking the guard on conscious. The remaining guard stutters a little as his fellow guard falls and he tries to follow Harvest's question. The people of this town hired us to free them. We have no plan for an order of law and no wishes to head up any such order. We were asked to help free the people of the Fixer's oppressive rule and then planned to go home leaving to people to make their own choices and their own fate.

When asked specifically who hired him he lists off the name of several well known and successful merchants in Rum including Menevia's of Menevia's Best Precious Stones, Theodistyr of The Silver Sword arms store and Maaqrana in addition to several familiar WLA names.

As Edson searches the bodies he finds several swords, axes and shields all displaying the tri-bar symbol with the exception of the merchant's jeweled sword.

Edson only Highlight to display spoiler: {As you search you are shocked to stumble across a woman's headless corpse, both because there had been no women involved in the fighting and because the only severed heads on the field were clearly male.}

Edson spits on the ground whenever he sees the tribar symbol. He thinks back to his days in the guild and the vile and disgusting schemes he was a part of. When he comes across the jeweled dagger, he examines it closer to get a worth of it.(Appraise 23).

Then he is truly disgusted as he finds the womans body. He puts hid thumb and forefinger in his mouth and lets out a shrill whistle. "Hey, over here." He yells to the group.

The names of those from the Woldian League are the most shocking.

"We must speak with those that this man has named," says Harvest Moon. "I will return to the compound to find them." Grim faced, she sets off on her own. "They will explain themselves."

As the tribar guard gets peppered with questions .... Peza thinks of a few more ....

" you say you were hired ?? so who are you ?? name of your outfit ?? "

" who was in charge of your group ??"

"If you were hired to help the people and WLA .. then why did you kill Captain Theringer ... as he was the Captain of this WLA outpost ?"

As Captian Theringer's name rings in her head she quickly makes her way to where the captain had fallen .... the ranger checks on him ....
