DM RobC - "As the smell of apple pie makes its way around..." Wednesday March 23rd, 2016 8:47:36 AM Armand tends to those who still need healing - including Faelyn. Before long, the party are at full strength once more.
Atlas watches the reunion and can't help but feel emotional. It's one thing to save a town or stop a wrong-doer, but you can't beat witnessing the fruits of a good deed.
Osul grins. Being able to help a couple like this was truly worth the effort.
Leskni too feels very proud of the groups achievement, and is filled with joy at the reunion. She doesn't let it show, however.
Owen on the other hand openly weeps at the reunion. Most of his tears are for the couple in front of him, but some are for his beloved back home.
Carver politely lets the others do the talking, before setting up a perimeter.
Owen encourages Eleanor and Faelyn to take some time to themselves, while her prepares tea and apple pie. The pair retreat to a small spot by the fields where they can talk about what has transpired.
They return after a good thirty minutes, arms wrapped around each other.
When the time is right, Mack asks how long it is since Faelyn went missing "Goodness, it's been at least six weeks" Eleanor responds, dabbing at her eyes "He was in the field and then, then he wasn't" She starts to sob again but Faelyn holds her tightly.
The party enjoy a simple supper. The food isn't fancy, but it is cooked by good, honest people. A meat stew with mixed vegetables, some bread and fresh water. For dessert Owen offers up the world's best apple pie. The pastry is soft yet flakey, and practically dissolves on the tongue. It is dusted with just the right amount of sugar. The filling contains finely diced portions of apple, stewed and cooked to perfection. Each mouthful sends flavour sensations throughout your tastebuds, and warm feelings to your extremities. This is the pie that bards would write ballads about!
The house only has the one bedroom - Faelyn and Eleanor being childless - and they appear embarrassed that all they can offer their saviours is room in the barn.
Faelyn and Eleanor retire early, both exhausted from the day and the weeks leading up to it.
And after an uneventful night, the party wake to the promise of a brand new day
Armand (Robert D) AC 16/touch11/flat15 HP 24/32 CMD 16 Character Sheet d20=6 ; Wednesday March 23rd, 2016 10:19:21 AM
Armand rises much earlier than usual and quietly prays to Gargul. Having timed his prayers to end at the first hints of dawn, Armand makes his way, as quiet as he can (Stealth 6), he whispers to anyone that wakes up "Sorry go back to sleep...nature calls."
Armand makes his way around the barn and farm. He will cast Mending and Make Whole (2x if needed) on all farming equipment and gear that he can find that needs some fixing up. He will further hide 3 gold pieces and 10 silver pieces among the tools. Small compensation for the trials Faelyn had to endure, and the hardships of Eleanor while she waited.
Armand will also look over the crops, though having been raised in the city, he's not sure what he's looking at and in what condition the crops are in. Armand looks over the livestock and wonders how healthy they are. Do they need a little channeling to give them more health? He regrets he has no knowledge of the ways of nature and animals.

Owen wakes after his two hours of sleep, prepares spells, and takes a walk around the fields. His thoughts are to the north, with his family in the Windbourne Hills.
As the others rise, he asks about what they recommend for the next step. "As much as I would like to stay here with Faelyn and Eleanor, we should probably return to the Tree."
If the group does depart, Owen gives the dancing-centaur teapot to Faelyn and Eleanor.

Inspired by everyone's giving and helping out, I leave one of my Cure Light Wounds potions, and my bottle of magical apple cider when we head out.
I like it here, so I'm in no hurry. But I also don't want to be a burden. I prepare to head out when we're all ready.

So, lets get going, it may be harder to fix if you suffer from it too long." Carver is ready.....

'Osul pitches in, but there are no spells at his command to assist with crops or animals - aside from ensuring both are well watered - Create Water Orizon
At an opportune moment, he quietly advises Eleanor to reach out for help if Faelyn changes significantly worse in attitude, as there are things we cannot know about his treatment by his captor.
