The day dawns, nearly sparkling with promise. As the sun climbs into the sky, herders and farmers are already in pasture and field. Children are finishing chores before going to temple schools or, if old enough, apprenticeships and work of their own. Backyard gardens of vegetables, herbs, and flowers are being attended; aviaries of various species; and the smells that smoke houses and ovens are up and running are in the air.
One morning at breakfast, a noise is heard from inside one of the cupboards. Pans crash and what sounds like one of the clay baking pots shattering inside.

Startled, Evaris turns to look in the direction of the cupboard. "Another kitten invasion?" he hazards.

Velarin also a bit startled, stands and moves into the kitchen, and looks toward the cupboard. Assuming a racoon or other hungry resourceful type critter have managed to enjoy the party as well, he stands off to the side of the cupboard, and opens it up, expecting said critter to jump out and flee the area.

Brom spends the days after the party between lying in the sun and helping around the village. Never wanting lose his strength from lack of exercise, Brom moves around Magpie Crossing offering his muscle to any who may need it. He never asks for payment, only a drink of water and something small to eat to keep him going. Brom has two reasons for his daily activity- one is to meet the people of Magpie Crossing and spread his throughout the town, and two is to meet all the eligible ladies.
The newest day dawns and Brom had planned on spending the morning helping out in the village and the afternoon lying by the water. The sound coming from the cupboards stirs the man, but only as to being startled by the sound. It would be the last time a rodent got into the cupboards. Brom turns back to his breakfast.

As Velarin opens the cabinet door, they spring open! Amid a tumble of pots, pans, and bits of clay, a certain kitten is amongst them all! What's more, Kitten is again batting around that miniature greatsword that was mysteriously delivered to their old home back in Floating City!

Barratore bursts into a belly laugh as he spies the kitten and hears Velarin's question. A horrible bawdy joke about cats and mighty weapons springing into his mind unbidden.. Barratore tries several times, but is unable to control himself and he exits the manor.
Once outside, the fighter is able to compose himself and heads out to enjoy the day. The plan is to acquaint himself with Magpie Crossing, or at the very least, the general layout of the town. And to get a pasty, definitely a fresh pastry

Emrys makes a special breakfast herbal tea, one that soothes his throat and relieves his pounding headache from all the merrymaking. Thanks to the delightful red berries plucked from that blackthorn-looking bush he found, relief comes almost immediately. However he can sense an intense craving for the berries with each cup he drinks. He needs to use them sparingly ... nothing should divert attention from his own beauty.

Emrys uses the last of those peculiar red berries he found (musta been in the forest surrounding the shores of Turtle Lake). Probably a good thing anyways, the elf doesn't want anything to mar his feeling of perfectionist beauty.
Lanliss and Barratorre share a laugh at the antics of Kitten; always getting into mischief! The intensity of the now juvenile cat while he stalks and pounces in the miniature greatsword dangling from a braided cord is certainly amusing to watch!
Edson picks at his breakfast and declares this is decidedly weird, and starts to wonder...
Velarin has more curiosity, and, what's more, both the initiative and skills available to do something about it. The first thing the elf does is retrieve the piece of jewelry. A closer examination shows that the mini-sword appears just as sharp and made of the same materials as a real greatsword, but sized for a Diminuitive-sized creature. A Detect Magic spell reveals still more. Velarin concentrates for about 20 seconds and can see that there is a 'dim' aura of Divination about the blade. (See Detect Magic spell description for what a 'dim' aura means)
