You examine the items, and correctly identify the scarab as a scarab of protection.
You examine the materiel in the laboratory for anything dangerous and/or valuable. It would appear that the equipment and components are rather expensive, but you doubt that it would be worth anything to anyone other than a monstrologer. You have a niggling suspicion that finding another reclusive antisocial hermit would not be a productive use of time.
Examining the mural proves far more fruitful. You are momentarily surprised when the mural begins moving as you approach! The figures in the mural animate, and perform repetitive actions giving a small amount of life to the scene (like a medieval GIF). You detect no other magic, and it appears to be a simple novelty.
Drawing the mural away from the wall reveals a faint outline in the stone indicating a very well-fitted door. You see no obvious handle, but a firm push causes it to swivel effortlessly. Probable dwarven-make, considering the excellent balancing.
[You do not locate any traps prior to opening the door.]
The door is quite large, perhaps 15 feet square, and swings open to reveal a 20-foot-wide tunnel that spirals into the mountain. It slowly slopes downward, and disappears about 50 feet ahead. It is quite dark.

"Neat," says Restlin as he identifies the scarab. It goes into his pouch along with the pearl. He spends some time moving back and forth, observing the effect. "That's also pretty neat," he adds.
He's ready to continue, putting himself in the middle of their marching order.
Sesha watches the others, her face twitching with impatience. Once the way is clear, she moves to the front, ghosts in the lead.
"I'll not walk downwind of the minotaurs, thank you very much. Servants, scout ahead and report back anything strange. Keep a hundred feet in front of me. If your master hears you, you'll regret it."
She points at Faith.
"Take care of those with injuries."
The girls give each other a puzzled look, then put their heads together in hushed whispers. A few moments later, Faith bows with an exaggerated flourish.
"Yes, my mistress!"
Faith channels and heals those still hurt, before taking a place near Restlin in the marching order. As Sesha starts heading down the path, the ghostly cleric stifles a giggle.

Tink whispers to the others "I really don't like that mural". As much as she doesn't like it, she doesn't think she could destroy such an artwork.
When Sesha orders the servants to scout ahead, Tink grins and gives a little curtsy "Yes mistress".
She fades in with the darkness and starts moving ahead - no more than 30ft in front of the party, and flying 5ft off the ground.

Between Dwarven architecture and Teucri technology there is no limit to how far down this could go... or it could just be about 50 feet. I'm not sure that it would be worth buffing until we get to the end of this passage. Beri examines the back wall and the ceiling for traps, just in case something is rigged to release a giant boulder or a flood of water after them once they start their slow descent. perception=35

The horned cleric observes the mural. Someone put a lot of time into that...I do not like it. Any chance it is a trap or spying on us? Turing from it he collects remains from the slain creatures. Such unusual foes. From each he takes some bone, flesh, scale or blood and places it in the center of a reliquary (holy symbol) to keep as a trophy. Sesha, you might want to collect some of these as reagents for your spells. I would get them for you, but I do not think your magic allows me to do that for you. He then watches as Restlin pockets the Scarb. Put that to good use.
Bosk looks at the passage to determine its width, and ponders the unusual configuration of party members. Typically he is second in line, using his reach to fight over the heads of those in front of him. Shrugging he takes the next spot back and draws his reach weapon (20ft reach) in order still be able to attack over and around the others.
The cleric keeps blinking as he moves and watches for danger so as to not get caught flat footed...but he doesn't watch too closely. (Perception = 23, perception for traps = 24)

The tunnels spirals through the stone of the mountain for several hundred feet. It is studded periodically with torch sconces, through they are unlit. You continue downward until you notice the air become moist.

You come to another door. The tunnel widens and meets the hinges, nearly 40 feet across. The door is solid bronze banded with iron. After inspecting for traps and magic, finding none, you swing it open.
The doors open to a massive cavern. It is a rough oval nearly 1000 feet long and 400 feet wide. Most of it is flooded, and an opening at the end of the cavern at the level of the water echoes with the sounds of the ocean. On your right-hand side is a stone pier that runs the length of the cavern. The pier is worked stone and 20 feet wide. About 800 feet down the pier is a single ship. It is a caravel, made for long distance voyages.
Of note, it appears that the ship's sails are made of blue fire. Yes, blue fire. It shimmers and roars without burning the wood. There are figures moving on the top deck, but are too distant to be seen. There is almost nothing to hide behind between you and the ship, other than retreating to the tunnel. It is likely only a matter of time until someone sees you if you stay in the open.

When Sesha mentions not walking downwind of the Taurs, he looks around innocently and then nudges Zane, "I think she means you. And that maybe you need a bath." He shrugs as the group heads down the stairs and brings up the rear. As they pass the different torch holders, he looks at them with interest and wonders why they are not lit.
As they enter the large cavern, he quickly spots the ship with the flaming sails. His jaw drops open as he stares at the incredible ship. "Oh, that is beautiful!"

Sesha stops at the end of the walk and crosses her arms. Her exposed eye glimmers with anticipation at challenging the those on the ship, but something stops her from blatantly announcing their presence.
"I shall wait for the scout and the servant to report back on those ahead. Myrth, you go with the halfling first, to test whether or not they can observe invisibility. Hope, Faith, and Joy shall remain here in the tunnel with the rest of us."
She casts a side glance at Restlin.
"It is only practical concern chosen for a suitable mate that stays my assault. This cavern would be a suitable habitat for both a nest and a treasure hoard. There would be no need to submerge our treasures like the wyrms we dispatched earlier."
Myrth snorts away laughter, and floats forward to scout ahead.

Tink and Myrth the Ghost travel forward cautiously. Tink's arcane sight sweeps over the waters and stone pier, but there is little to see in the waters besides small fish.
You continue forward. After perhaps 200 feet, still 600 feet from the ship, you spy a magic aura. Your arcane knowledge identifies it as an divination effect.

Embarrassment and indignation ripple across the coven link, and for a moment Sesha looks as though she might recoil away from the Mage-priests familiarity. Somewhere though, in the back of her mind, she realizes this is a situation she's shared with him often, and no offense should be taken.
She bristles a little, but strangely winds up closer to him than where they started.
"Be pleased with your station as future mate and paramour, Restlin. If not for that your death would have been swift and sudden, accosting me like so in public.
She leans in towards him, her one good eye focused and bright. Raised up on her tip-toes, she continues in a very silent whisper.
"Listen well, ruffian. This heart of mine beats thrice. Once for Serenbeth, with whom I made pact. Once for my people, both blood and kin. And once for you, whom I love. An elven heart eventually stills, but this one will have labored for you for 10 of your lifetimes before it finally retires. If that is what everlasting love might be to a human, then you have it."
She plants soft dark lips on his, then falls back onto her heels. She beckons her ghosts and prepares for combat once more, so distracted that she fails her next spell.

Myrth the Ghost stops moving forward, lacking the natural stealthiness of the the halfling. Tink continues forward, defeating the keen perception of the eldritch eyes. They scan frenetically, darting back and forth in a thin band across the cavern.
She advances to within 450 feet of the ship. The rest of the party advances 195 feet (Tink was okay at 200 because she is sneaky), just out of sight of the prying eyes.

Tink squints and tries her best to make out what she can. She sees four figures on the top deck. Three are working frantically to ready the ship to depart. The fourth stands imperiously, pointing about the ship and barking commands.
Perception DC 45 for Tink. DC 60 for everyone else. Highlight to display spoiler: {You recognize two of the figures.... DeRais the wizard, and the wizard/rogue from the attack on your new castle! The assassins fled here! The third character is a brutish man in workman's clothes. The fourth -- the leader -- is covered in a heavy hood and robe. They still seem unaware of your presence.}

Wardd help those poor fools on that boat if they decided to combat her...
Restlin usually hates this part. It's the part where he and his friends try and be sneaky and catch the enemy by surprise, only to find they've been expected. This time...this time feels different. Maybe they actually can get the drop on these folks. They're obviously in a hurry, but from what?
He does a check of his gear and reviews his spells. He's spent a lot of his magic getting this far, but he still had a lot up his sleeve. He also has that pearl they found, plus he could still use his amulet to cast any spell from his book once. He taps his maximize wand too, one more use there. He takes a moment to thank Wardd for his good luck so far. The robe, the scarab, the pearl...all good finds.
Remembering their previous combats with these folks, Restlin will cast resist energy (acid) on himself.

She responds to Bosk "Those eyes could be programmed to return if attacked or if they see something unusual. I wouldn't risk attacking them just yet. Is there a way you can get past them? Teleport, dimension door or dark walk? Then again, you could try going underwater but there's no telling what's down there. If you can get past the eyes we can have the element of surprise."

Sesha gives both Bosk and Zane a potion of Spell Immunity.
"Pick a spell when you use it. Good luck making the right choice. Also, dispel magic wont work as a target, nor will something like disjunction, as this spell is basically unbeatable spell resistance. So pick something that ability applies to."
Sesha then hands Beri a potion of Spell Resistance (CL 15) and drinks one herself.
"Better than nothing."
Finally, she gives Garret, Bosk and Zane potions of Heal (12th level).
"Just in case."
She uses a scroll of "Shield" on herself, and then uses a scroll of "Shield Other" on Restlin. Finally, she activates her prayer bead of Karma, saying a soft prayer to Serenbeth, raising her caster level a little higher.

No sooner do you begin discussing tactics in earnest... that the hooded figure spins about on a heel and looks in your direction. The figure raises a hand, snaps its fingers, and the others on the deck stop their preparations and look about in danger.

DeRais casts a spell, and a shimmering bubble of energy appears in a 20 foot sphere around him, covering most of the ship.

The Iron Dragons make their way slowly and carefully down the stone pier. Various divination magics and magical vision fail to detect any protections other than the prying eyes spell. The floating orbs become panicked as you pass through the spell, but do no harm.
You approach the ship and stop short of the gangplank. You are approximately 50 feet from the figures on the ship. They have made no additional moves or cast additional spells, respecting the universal terms of parlay.
Those with magical vision do not see the mage-rogue.
The hooded figure takes a step back, and turns slightly, staring off into the distance.
DeRais steps forward. He face is dark and sneering. "You are trespassers, Iron Dragons. Trespassers on holy ground. One of the sanctuaries of Gargul. Why do you tempt fate by assaulting his chosen? Can't you see you are on the wrong side of history? All you have managed to do is cull the weak from our faith. What do you expect to gain from this brashness?"

Sesha didn't want it to spiral out of control too quickly. Curiosity, like a sudden itch, smashes against the link. Anything to do with divinity sparked her curiosity, and she wanted an answer or two. She looks at Restlin, then back to DeRais and the lich.
Restlins question burns on her mind. "Are you for real?" She hesitates, then adds. "Dabroc wasn't real clear. Are you taking a divine spark and growing it, or just changing the power base by shifting worshipers"
She sighs.
"We both know this is probably going to end with one side or another winding up dead, so for the sake of the knowledge, maybe you could indulge me?"

Bosk steps forward, deciding to lay all his cards on the table to see what he can learn. I AM a CHOSEN of Gargul. The Lord of Life and Death himself initiated me into his service. I am his hands as well as his Eye. My shadow hangs in his throne room and he has blessed me with his Eye. I have permission to enter his holy grounds, as do those in my company.
I was sent because there are those in your service hiding from him and interfering with his will and he is ...concerned. As for myself, I know the dual nature that is Gargul. His past and his present. Death and re-birth. Execution and deliverance. Unless I miss my guess, you are trying to restore his former nature and subdue the current.
My mission is to determine what you are up to. I need to know if your "chosen" are being deceived or if there is a chance Gargul's other nature is reaching out. If it is blasphemy and heresy putting the Wold in danger I must stop you. If it is actually Gargul...I need to know.

DeRais waves his hand dismissively. "Yes, yes, we are all impressed with your accomplishments, Mr. Bosk. You are held in very high esteem by the submissive side of Gargul. The side that cultivates weakness and calls it mercy. The side that encourages profligacy and calls it charity. We abhor that side." He folds his hands in front of him and shrugs. "You have seen our handiwork. Our servants call upon the name of Gargul and are rewarded with power. If Gargul does not know what Gargul is doing... then I would only surmise that his awakening side does not want to be impeded." He smiles. "Sometimes a madman does not understand his own dreams, and how could we mortals comprehend the madness of a god? Gargul will not know what hit him... but in the end he will accept it."
"Enough." The hooded figure with the scarred voice turns and regards the party.
"I was expecting you sooner. I grew tired of waiting and started taking care of something else and... well, you know." The figure brushes her gloved hands against her robes to wipe off dust. "Since we're all here, we might as well get started." She reaches up, pulls back her hood, and reveals her face. She is undead. Her head patchy and gray, her eyes are milky white, and her skin mottled and scarred. She smiles, and her skin makes a rubbing sound like saddle leather.
You hear Bosk suck in his breath. "It's her. The lich. Vivian Taurbane."
Vivan gives a mocking bow and a flick of her hand. "The same. Bosk and I have history, don't we? I murdered his mother." She furrows her brow and rubs her chin inquisitively. "Now, why did I do that?... I'm sorry. I've been around for so long and killed so many... Bah. It doesn't matter. All minotaurs look alike, anyway." She smiles, revealing a mouth full of blackened teeth. "And your poor father was found guilty of her murder. How delish. I'm sure you miss them. Well, miss them no longer, Bosk."
Vivian claps her hands, and you hear a sound coming from under the deck. A rumbling, scraping noise. "I took a little jaunt down to your old stomping grounds. I knew we were going to see each other again, and I thought I would make it special. Because, you know, it's the little things that count. This took a lot of effort, so I hope you appreciate it."
You hear heavy footsteps from below deck coming up stairs. Two skeletons emerge onto the top deck. Minotaur skeletons. They walk with an ungainly gait.
"Ta-da!" She motions with both of her arms. "It's them, Bosk! At long last, you are reunited with your parents! Cenoios! Adatia! Come say hello to your son!" The minotaur skeletons snap their attention to the party and begin lumbering toward them, small points of red light flaring in their eye sockets. Vivian smiles. "Oh, I will cherish this for a long time. Please make it memorable."

Bosk quickly casts magic circle against evil centered on himself as he messages the group, Do we need to take down the dimensional lock to use dim door, blink, dark walk and a few other of our usual tactics?

Beriothian looks around... the last few seconds seem to have taken an hour to process in his mind. Well, if this is round 1 he's going to make round 2 work harder than going up a few steps. Sesha considers her options, frustrated that the dispel didn't work. That one felt pretty strong. She decides to go ahead and push hard. Concentrating, she funnels woldsblood through her magic, shapes it, then forces it into reality in a spray or blood red liquid.
The cone burst will affect all 4 enemies bunched up in the anti magic zone. It should still avoid the Bull Rushing halfling.

Not fully sure what the boat is supposed to be used for Bosk decides to try to take it out of commission as quickly as possibly. Picking up a small orange bead throws it at the ship. Not at the top where Vivian is standing, but down towards the bottom of the ship just a bit above the waterline so that as the hull burns through the ship will start filling with water and the flames will easily be able to spread and climb up the boat.

Bosk waits with anticipation to see if the boat will burn as easily as the numerous buildings the group accidentally set on fire or had to attempt to put out after any enemy directed a fireball at it.
ooc: For anyone asking, Vivian rolled a 54 for penetrating spell resistance on her last spell.
Bosk - identifies the rogue-wizard Rodrigo as the caster of antimagic field. He throws a fire bead at the ship. It has no effect, almost as though the ship were entirely immune...
Garret - is incredibly lucky in his bullrush attempt (his CMD is 26!) and Rodrigo goes flying over the railing.
Zane - dives into the water for a bath!
Restlin - flies forward and begins a summoning spell.
Sesha - (ooc: Skeleton is not magic. Big Guy is magic.) casts a spell. She misses Rodrigo, having been pushed overboard. She also misses Vivian, who goes overboard voluntarily. The skeleton appears unaffected. However, she catches DeRais straight in the face.

Beriothian - summons a wall of stone to narrow the battlefield, and his summoned air elemental tries to overpower the enemies with high winds. Unfortunately, summoned creatures wink out if they enter an antimagic field.
Tink - casts greater dispel magic, which sticks to Vivian and will affect her as soon as she is outside the antimagic field.

DeRais stands there, unmoving. He looks at Zane and concentrates to order him. "Hey! You! You are filthy and smelly. You need to bathe yourself in the water. Right now."
Vivian casts a spell. The stone pier is shot through with towering flames.

70 fire damage for Bosk and Beriothian. Reflex DC 23 for half damage. Creatures that fail their Reflex save catch on fire, taking 4d6 points of fire damage each round until the flames are extinguished. Extinguishing the flames is a full-round action that requires a DC 20 Reflex save.
After casting her spell, she turns and jumps over the side of the boat! She sinks into the water and is lost from sight.

Garret laughs in surprise as he is successful in his bull rush, knocking the enemy over the side of the ship. Then he stands there a moment wondering why everyone else is jumping ship. As the smell of singed fur fills the air the Horned Cleric grabs an iron circle and launches it at Vivian

When the proper command word is spoken and the spherical iron device is hurled at an opponent, the bands expand and then contract to bind the target creature on a successful ranged touch attack. A single Large or smaller creature can be captured thus and held immobile (as if pinned) until the command word is spoken to bring the bands into spherical form again. The creature can break (and destroy) the bands with a DC 30 Strength check or escape them with a DC 30 combat maneuver check or Escape Artist check. Iron bands of binding are usable once per day.

That done, he notices DeRais outside the anti-magic circle. He should be dimensionally anchored now. He pulls out his maximize rod for its last use of the day. "Focus on DeRais. Let's take him out while the other two are separated."
He calls on Shiny to make him smart, then aims the rod at DeRais and intones the magic words pew pew. A thin green beam flies towards him.

Restlin - finishes summoning a water elemental and sends it to assist Zane. He turns and sends a thin line of green energy at DeRais, striking him in the chest.
Sesha - begins casting a summoning spell.

A cold satisfaction fills the empathic link between the Iron Dragons. DeRais was an old foe, and a particularly vile one. Restlin is pleased to see him dispatched.
His satisfaction is short lived as he's pummeled by rocks, though fortunately the lightning that strikes him goes through one of the boulders first, dampening the effect. He asks Shiny to help make him a little quicker to avoid the next attack.
Restlin calls out to Garret through their mental link, "Watch out, Garret. Rodrigo just cast a true strike spell. It doesn't last long, so make yourself scarce for a few seconds." He then casts a glitterdust spell between Rodrigo and the skeleton just to the south of him.
He then floats away from the ship a bit, in case Rodrigo decides to go after him instead.

Garret watches as the rocks fall and the lightning flashes around them, striking the ship, but not him. As he turns and attacks, he wonders if by attacking the ship, they are helping these creatures. Then he wonders if the rocks are falling on the bad guys as he continues attacking the skeleton, hoping to finish it and turn to the big guy while the others deal with the magical and invisible things going on.

Zane avoids the spell effects, mostly because he's under the boat. (made the saves w/evasion) Just before he strikes the ship again, he looks around to see if he can spot Vivian, the others mentioned she went overboard.

Out of brilliant ideas, Bosk calmly relays over the link, Someone grab my iron rings or remind me to grab them before we leave.
A split second later his eyes go red, hackles raised and teeth bared. The cavern shakes, as though all hell is trying to force its way up through the ground as it echos with the bellowing with the rage of a decade of pent of hate. Madly he charges forth, taking advantage of what remains of his fly/overland flight spells and crashes into his parent's reanimated remains and forces them back, hoping to push them back far enough to slam him into Rodrigo and force him over the ship's edge. Mother, protect your son this one last time.
An Avenger always has perfect control of his emotions, and here is a perfect example of an Avenger focusing his rage as a single tear rolls down his cheek.

Garret watches with satisfaction as the skeleton turns back to a pile of bones, then watches Bosk fly by to knock Rodrigo into the water as Rodrigo gets in a quick slash on his arm. He shrugs and wonders if there are any shark in these waters as the hail begins to fall. He then turns into another blur of arms and legs as he attacks the big guy.

Garret - turns his attention to the Big Guy and lets loose with fists and feet.
Zane - swims over and starts pummeling Rodrigo.
Restlin - dives into the water, looking for Vivian.
Sesha - summons a ragdoll golem, which proceeds to attack the remaining skeleton. She zips out of the darkness and waits.
Beriothian - finishes summoning his water elemental and casts faerie fire. The water elemental tries to pursue Vivian.

One of the water elementals needs to make a Fortitude check.
The entire ship shudders and rumbles. "INITIATING EVASIVE MANEUVERS!" The sails of blue fire shimmer and ruffle, and the vessel moves.
Straight up.
It rises until it hovers 5 feet above the waterline. The eyes of the dragon-head prow glow a dull red and smoke plumes out of its nostrils.

Bosk braces as the big guy attacks him, but the blow is deflected to the side due to his magic circle against evil. All around him hail drops, some right through him as he blinks back and forth. [b]Does anyone have a scent ability or something that can detect Vivian? She should be our only goal at this time. Cut off the dragon's head and it shall die.[b]
The Horned Cleric looks at the Big Guy, trying to determine what he can about him, What race is he. What does he look like, and what weapons is he using. Suddenly the ship issues forth a warning and for a moment he worries the ship will explode, but then he figures it is more likely the attacker or water around the ship will be be affected. Once again he charges forth this time attempting to push the Big Guy back into the water...but is slips on some ice on the ground and stumbles (Natural 1).

Seeing the dragon's eyes glow and nostrils smoke, Bosk runs towards the head, kicking the fallen rocks ahead of him. Laying his hands on them he casts Shape Stone and uses them to encase the dragon head in stone. I do not know if the boat is living, sentient, or just extremely magic, but hopefully this will keep it from being able to see where it is going or breathing fire on us.

Bosk - fails to identify the Big Guy... but he realizes that the ship is in fact an enormous, intelligent golem! He casts stone shape and encases the head of the ship in stone.
Garret - wails on the Big Guy.
Zane - pummels Rodrigo.
Restlin - goes underwater himself to search for Vivian.
Sesha - has her golem take tiny hits against the floating skeleton, while she keeps watch for spells to counter.
Beriothian - continues to search the depths. Unfortunately, a spell takes hold of his summoned elemental and it is torn apart.
Tink - assists in the demise of Rodrigo, holding him still while others savage him.

Rodrigo struggles, gurgles, and goes limp. A few bubbles and a stream of blood flows out of his mouth.

Vivian is spotted! You see her walking along the bottom of the cavern, weighted down by her armor. She's trying her best to put distance between her and the ship.
The remaining skeleton continues to float helplessly.
The Big Guy buckles under the continued assault and goes down in a heap on the deck of the ship. Curiously, you notice there is no blood coming from any of the wounds.

Between the dimensional anchor from Bosk and the forcecage from Restlin, Vivian is thoroughly stuck. She turns and hisses in anger, ready to cast a spell. She stops, however, perhaps realizing that she would be affected by any attempt to destroy the cube. She stares at you with dark contempt as you draw near.
With the combined efforts of the rest of the party, you easily destroy the remaining skeleton.
Vivian will be stuck for 15 rounds. What do you do?

We may want to plan accordingly. With a little luck we'll have a long journey to recover, but with magic sails it could be almost instantaneous.

If it is close, then the Vivian will respawn in or near near her lair, with access to all her resources. If it is far away, she does not have that. However, if it is close, it is easier to find, and if it is far away, she pretty safe. This ship might give her the best of both worlds.

Bosk's mind kicks into overdrive as he tries to predict what Vivian's next move might be. Carefully he watches her hands and lips, watching for any indication of trickery and prepaing to stop her actions if necessary. Highlight to display spoiler: {(I assume others will try to disrupt spells, but Bosk will try to interrupt casting and prevent objects from being activated by disarming them or grappling her as a held action or other action deemed appropriate by the DM if she has something else up her sleeve. The blond taur smiles as he bares his long teeth, the grin never quite reaching his eyes. As he approaches I am the Hands of Gargul and Jancassis Vengance. Chanting some sacred prayer his tattoos begin to move across his body. Lady of Vengance, send forth your power! a legion of scaled scorpions come to life (tattoo swarm) and crawl off his skin towards the force cube, their thousands of moving legs skittering towards her as they are drawn to her decaying flesh and trice doomed soul.
Lord Gargul, Bless your servant as he carries out your will! Another prayer is uttered and his eyes glow and his sword steadies with an unerring aim. (cast true strike on myself to ensure and attack can be blocked with a disarm, grapple or other combat maneuver)

Seeing you prepare for the release of the forecage, Vivian casts a series of spells.
She casts entropic shield, meld into stone, righteous might, dispel evil, and blade barrier. The spell effects combine in a blur of magic between Vivian and the force wall.

Bosk ponders how Vivian could grow to hue size, meld into 15 square ft of stone, and erect a blade barrier all within a 10ft square force cage without damaging herself.
Quickly he tries to determine if she is currently large or huge sized (this effects her reach and ability to get AoO against Bosk), and if she is in a cube of stone protruding from the ground taking up the space of the force cube, or if she sank through the force cube and is in the ground below where the cube stood (which is what I am picturing).
Lastly he checks to make sure the blade barrier is open on top and that he can fly or swim down through the top of them without getting hit.

Bosk waits a moment to see if Vivian is forced out of her stone prison. If she is he will use his previous held action to atk her. If not, he will descend upon her and cast shape stone to push the stone partly through the blade barrier so that the blades hit is and she can be hit by players without them having to cross the blades.

The forcecage is dismissed.
In a blur of motion, magical energy, and martial skill, you set upon the lich. Despite her protections and enhancements, your blows and spells are lethal in their effectiveness.
In the open air, you would have heard a cacophony of steel and magical explosions. But in the water of the cavern, all you hear are muffled booms. Vivian screams silently in the dark water as the negative energy sustaining her undeath is torn from her in flashes of black lightning. Her body crumples and floats to the floor, leaving her equipment in a pile and filled with bone dust.
The battle is over.

The party uses various detect abilities on the equipment, and do not find a phylactery.
Restlin searches the ship.... and finds surprisingly little. There are several crew quarters and storage rooms, but there is almost no equipment, no food or water stores, and no navigation equipment.
However, there is a chest of goodies in the captain's quarters.
The phylactery is not on the ship.
The dragon-head prow swivels over and peers at the location of Vivian's demise with one glowing red eye. A puff of smoke billows from its nostrils. "Previous master controls terminated. Initiating administrative protocols reset. Processing." It's red eyes flicker and small puffs rise into the air. When it speaks it sounds much more cheerful and lively. "Greetings, new masters! I am the Starblazer, and I am at your service! Please state a destination. To repeat your previous journey, say, "Repeat my previous journey."

Bosk waits for the others to check everything for magical auras before collecting some of Vivian's ash and putting it in one of his reliquaries.
The Horned Cleric then walks solemnly over to his parents (assuming the detect magic did not detect anything on them) and places the holy symbols of Gargul and Jancassis around their neck. Silently he takes out a bottle of his father's Sacred Blue Wine of Imod, the last bottle he ever produced, and takes a sip before passing it around the group. He then pours the remainder over his parent's remains as he recites the ancient death rites of his people. He then carefully wraps the bones in a blanket and puts them in his bag of holding until a proper re-burial can take place.
As the bones vanish from sight a change comes over the cleric. It is as if a sense of peace washes over him and a weight is lifted off his shoulders. The year of seeking vengeance, the hate eating away at him. All of it suddenly lifted from his soul. For a moment he allows his eyes to slide out of focus and peer into the spirit realm, watching Vivian's soul depart. Although he knows Vivian's phylactery will likely draw her back, for now his vengeance is complete...and as he watches her soul leave slip away he feels the vestiges of his humanity slip from the very fibers of his soul begins to unravel.
It is a strange feeling, to lose one's dual nature as the body and spirit knit together and form one unit...becoming an outsider with his essence being infused with that of another plane. He has just a second to wonder if this is a higher or lower state of being before he feels Jancassis claiming him. Dual citizen of the Wold and the Shadowlands, Paladin for the Dead. For her help in aiding him in his vengeance he shall forever be her agent where her domain and Gargul's intersect. One of the few Grim Avenger's to ever obtain this honor...or pay this price...
