LOG ON |
If the whirlwind's base touches the ground, it creates a swirling cloud of debris. This cloud is centered on the creature and has a diameter equal to half the whirlwind's height. The cloud obscures all vision, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. Creatures 5 feet away have concealment, while those farther away have total concealment. Those caught in the cloud of debris must succeed on a concentration check (DC 15 + spell level) to cast a spell.Whirlwind Murphy touched the ground toward the tail end of his move, and thus kicked up a swirling cloud of debris. Assuming the 5 missiles cast from Uthvas' fingers were from the magic missile spell, the missiles strike the target unerringly, "so long as it has less than total cover or total concealment." The debris field around Murphy is 15 feet thick. Aside from having a -4 from being in the ice storm, Uthvas' vision - even darkvision - does not penetrate that thickness of obscurement - Murphy is in total concealment. Thus unaffected by the missile barrage, I think? Let me know, DM Shawn. Thank you.
A potion. [Knowledge: Arcana: 20; Spellcraft: 9]Murphy tells others what he is able to discern about the items, asks for help on the items he is not certain about. Likely has a fair chance to ID the amulet, and maybe some of the other items.
A robe. [KA: 14; SpCr: 9]
Masterwork dagger. (non-magic, I presume? - so focus on it if it does not radiate magic)
An amulet. [KA: 23; SpCr: 27]
A belt. [KA: 20; SpCr: 13]
A cloak. [KA: 17; SpCr: 25]
Goggles. [KA: 19; SpCr: 24]
A headband. [KA: 15; SpCr: 13]
A spellbook. [KA: 20; SpCr: 9]
A purple crystal. [KA: 15; SpCr: 16]
Last KA of 14 and last SpCr of 27 - likely nothing to use them on. d3=3 was a misroll.
