We are Humble's Sword. We serve our community, our people, our land, and, where we can, the good people of the Wold. We strive to excel - yet not with self-important pride, rather with humility of heart."Also, a motto, such as 'Humble's Sword - Halflings in Humble Service' - or maybe '... Heros in Humble Service.'
We oppose oppressors, deceivers, perverters, enslavers. We offer our strength to shield those in need, and if need be, will sacrifice our own selves, that others may be free.
You've got till Monday to reply, brainstorm, etc. Feel free to take up to one weeks worth of actions, but note that you cannot go more than 100 miles away from Humbles Ford. I'll explain that part on Monday in the post. So, friends, go for it - between now and sometime Monday (morning?) you can let all know what your character will be up to for the next 7 days. This is not necessarily the best occasion for a one line post.
I have no desire to oppose fire - for I have benefitted from its warmth my whole life. Yet, should flames come to harm my people, and our lands, that I cannot ignore. Should your kind not attack, we will remain at peace with you. Should your kind attempt to consume or harm mine, then shall I oppose your efforts."Would that properly answer them? Those words may simply, uh, inflame them against me, against us. But I will not promise to promote Vé-Eldfjöll. Unless I find out he is a jolly old fellow, quite worthy of adoration."
Fire is a great power. It energizes. It helps us in so many ways. Without it, how should we live so well as we do? However, unchecked - when it threatens to consume our children, then it must be bounded. So far as we can, let us be at worst neutral toward each other. If we can cooperate, and it not harm my people, then let us do so.

Tell your master that he is cordially invited to a place about fifty miles north in the Red Hills.Murphy lets Pressi 'listen' in to his thoughts, so that she can catch the meaning of what he is saying.
Stop trying to kill our people. You will not win our hearts here in Crescent Valley that way.
We will not give you what you want.
Lord Eberyon, thank you for this Wold you help to keep verdant and rich. I know that ash can be useful for growing things. But as with some good things, too much of it may bring more harm than good. Help to fit me, I pray you, for the tasks that lie ahead. I am grateful for the elementals who have brought us much assistance as we face foes of the valley, and foes of our group. I want to use the powers you have granted to protect and heal the land, and the people, and also to make a strong showing against those who would harm us. Grant me, I pray you, insight in to how to respond to the incursion of Vé-Eldfjöll and those under his sway. He will bring much fire, and ash, and woe. I pray he not settle over any of our cities here in the valley. Guide me, and us, as we seek to protect the good halflings of this village. Bring to mind the ways I might best serve you, and my friends, my community, and land. I humbly ask for power to face what is ahead of us. And wisdom. If I have your ear, I thank you for hearing my prayer. Selah."Yes, Lance, I think you're correct. We need to head back to town and fill folks in on what happened - and these two manifestations are likely forerunners. Also, I want to see if I can't build a good place of safety a ways underground for the people of the town."
Summary: Provide carts and ponies for earth moving. Speak with father about who has wood to burn - and Lance can speak with Mayor. Ask Belly Buster and Dancing Pig for help with potluck/feast. Hope to avoid changing into bird in the morning unless no help from inns. Mainly, work on tunnels.=======
He does let Pressi and through her everyone else know how things are going, what his plans are. He could divert a transmute mud to stone spell, perhaps a stone shape spell, to doing a bit of work on the temple should she desire. He asks others come up with a decent plan for the temple, and Murph will do his bit when called upon.
