Perception vs DC 12 Highlight to display spoiler: { Anyone that passes this perception begins to notice all the work that the villagers have already put into the rebuild. The Wander’s Roost is the most complete followed by new businesses, like Hoyel’s Tattoo and The Chessford Pub. } Rolth is overjoyed and combs out his hair. He begins to play on his lute, which brings the crowd to its feet. Several villagers are happy to hear Rolth’s epic. Kiwina tells is own tale nearby keeping everyone nearby entranced with news on the Sargrass Plains. Upon mingling it’s a bit hard to hear but you can pick out some pieces of information on the mixed taur children. It looks like the infection caused the children to temporarily mutate. Once resolved all the children returned to their natural form. This added several offers of free drinks and celebration. The treants, you hear, have all but disappeared back into the forest like before. A helpful gentlemen points you toward the local Catacombs branch. There is not much more information available from the jubilant crowd. But the gentleman does ask about Gothruk. “I thought you had a member with that name? My name is Oleg,” says a mature minotaur. “It’s nothing terribly important. Just wanted to thank him.”
Unfortunately there is no word on Sandifurr's? Elarorn and family yet.
And food, there is always the Wander’s Roost fish fry night or the Chessford Pubs burger and fries.
Elyas goes out but then after a short time, he finds himself back on the ship, trying to look busy inspecting the in-progress bilge pump but really just avoiding any more congratulations. The pump is about 75 percent complete. Elyas finds a float switch is missing and no one is available at the moment to supply one.
Sable and Finnian visit the Mailed Fist to return the +1 bow from the Fist (I have an extra now) and retrieve my original masterwork spear. Then would like to trade the +1 Battle axe for a +1 Greatsword. Then a swing by the fletcher to purchase 40 arrows to replace those used... (-2 GP). There are two, very serious warriors standing within the light brown tent. They perform the transactions with an efficiently that’s unlike anywhere else. The fletcher is friendly, is less rigid but still highly disciplined. The warriors are happy to welcome Finnian and accept his dues but tell him that any training would have to wait till the morning. “Your bow,” says one of the warriors, “is a fine piece of work. Is it completed?” (OOC: Tried to say go ahead and finish the bow with roleplay but don’t think I hit the mark.)
Falco takes a moment to find a small place on the boat he can think of as his own. He spends some time contemplating but beeing the celebration that they are arriving two Falco's questions of his life choices seems to melt into the background.
"A party? Well that sounds like quite the thing now doesn't it. Dancing and drink! The cure for our past adventures I think."

Rolth compliments the villagers on their excellent display of community in rebuilding so much so quickly. "How ever did you accomplish this wonder?" To Oleg's inquiry about Gothruk, he remarks, "Why yes, Gothruk is one of us, and quite a solid fellow, let me tell you. Did taurdom proud on the battlefield, none can gainsay that! I think he is in his bunk reliving the glory of the moment." (Perception = 25 to notice the rebuilding progress)
With that, he accompanies Kiwina to the Catacombs to cash in on the Petal's booty, as well as to make some of his own transactions. In the morning, he will join Finnian for the two days of WLA training that he needs to catch up on, cheerfully handing over the 1000gp payment. "Journeyman at last!"

"it's been tricky finding the time while we were out in the saragrass plains dealing with the invasive grass, but I found time aboard our ship.

To Rolth, a small man nearby smiles and says, “Due to the Petals heroics actions within the mountains and the Sargrass the entire village was able to work together and get it done. It was very inspiring.” To Gothruk, Oleg, the minotaur smiles and walks over the Rose. He waits for Gothruk and embraces him. He let's go and apologizes. “I'm so sorry. I'm just so excited. Gymn of Gymn speaks so highly of you and your friends. Your kindness and heroics saved my family. Hey, on another note. Did you know your boat is floating above the sand? I haven't seen another boat as amazing… oh.. well since the floating elemental one.. I forget the name? The Herald… I think.” Rolth and Kiwina head to the catacombs. Tsak and Falco strike up friendly conversations with the village folk. They eat and Tsak heads to the Rose to rest. Sable Finnian finishes his bow and beems as representatives from the WLA give him a hand to speed up the process. Elyas delays the fix for the Rose till the morning and asks the group. So where do we go next? he asks several of the petals during the course of the evening. The party rolls on throughout the night. The crowds begins to thin out around 1:00 in the morning. It’s not that they are quieter, but actually seems to be just as loud and joyous. The Petals that stay up are offered drink after drink. They are complimented on their new ship and near 3:00 a familiar ship shows up. The huge water elementals standing at the Herald’s sides are just as serious as before. Captain Cecil steps from the gangplank with a smile wide as the gangplank itself. “Hey adventurers,” he booms. “How’s it going?”

Finnian turns in early as well, needing time to prepare spells and knowing that the WLA training will not be easy. His dreams are filled with images of dying treants and the invading grass. The horror of the battle floods his emotions and he tosses and turns, but closer to waking it turns happy and he is in a Grove with sunlight streaming through the leaves and he feels the elation of victory.

The Captain of the Herald threads together an epic story of trouble at sea. Huge sea serpents rocked the local galleons as the Herald rushed to help. An Aboleth nearly crushed the Herald and the crew panicked. “My friends,” he began. “My friends… this curse of a vessel stood strong I tell you. Those monstrous water elementals fought braver than my men.”

Cecil retires to the Wandering Roost soon after his arrival. It’s unclear whether he is staying for the night or drinking some more. As he leaves he sings a slurred song about the water elementals and his curse. Perception vs 20 Highlight to display spoiler: { It’s very hard to pick out anything from the song but the keen-eared can hear a lyric about a sorcerer of the sea, a binding spell and a lover scorned. } The morning rolls in, late for some of the Petals and early for the others. A large crew of taur work to clean up the beach and business areas from the celebrations of the night before. Some whistle other kind of groan as they bend over. The WLA training starts at the break of dawn. Outside the training center, an athletic trainer booms orders over the heads of the other trainees. “Let’s start some hand to hand.” (OOC: You are free to roleplay any specific training.)
Thirteen sits on a cliff near the South end of Chessford. A dock sits on the West end of the shop. Within the dock is a small catamaran sunk partially within a man-made abutment of water. The abutment leads out to the sea. The owner of The Thirteen is a dwarf named Hondem Orcbuster. Hondum stands a mear 13 in tall, or so he claims. The shop is a mess as boat parts sit in unorganized piles. Hondem offers to find the float switch. After a long walk he begins searching near the front of the store. PC in the Thirteen only - Perception vs. 15 Highlight to display spoiler: { You locate the float switch near the opposite end of the shop. Hondum offers a comment on how perceptive you are and begins the long walk back to the counter. Once there he searches for a box then finally rings up the sale for 25 gp. } PC in the Thirteen only - Perception vs. 10 Highlight to display spoiler: { There are multiple piles it could be in. Three on the right side and three on the left. First pile starts on the left near the back. Second in front of that, then third. Fourth is near the back, then fifth and sixth. }

Rolth takes to the training with gusto, and even manages to pay attention more than might be expected. He is particularly attentive to the survival skills and healing lessons, which would have come in very handy during our recent quests! He makes a point of complimenting Finnian on his newly finished bow, which looks quite fine! He'll happily partner up with Kiwina if there are any two person drills that need doing too. During any breaks, he'll try to remember the bits of the tune he overheard from Cecil about the sea sorcerer, binding spell, and lover scorned, and see if he can recreate it with his lute. (perception =12) Tired and slightly disappointed at the lack of news from Minotaur or Bridge Isles, Kiwina does not hear Cecil's song.
Kiwina drags into the WLA barely in time, but pays his dues. He already knows how to use more armors than he cares to use, and they aren't teaching techniques for weapons he isn't already familiar with. He works with Rolth some on healing, and wanders off to get some insight into reading others. On subsequent days, he works on endurance exercises and sprinting.

- After a few moments of searching the Petals find the float switch buried in pile 4. The foot high dwarf smiles and walks slowly to the part. “ Ah yes, that would be it. Thank you so much. Are you the Petals… the heroes? You are I know it. Please take the part and let me know if you need anything else. I am one of the only parts places in the Isles. Well, there is this other despicable on Centaur Isle but… I talk to much.” The dwarf offers the part to anyone then heads to the back of the store if there is no more questions.

Depending on what we do the following day Finnian would like to go and find a local greenmage or druid to talk about what happened to the nature of the Wold following the ordeal that they just went through. He can sense a change, but isn't sure his intuitions are correct and wants to speak with someone wiser than he. If there is one that he knows of. If not he will head back to the Rose and help out in anyway that he can.

Not a part of the WLA, Gothruk does his own training, maintaining his strength and finess with his own drills. He finds that having gone through an otherworldly battle he is much more in control of his body and mind.

Ramsey has been out for awhile. He seems such a fixture on the Rose, that it is easy to overlook him. In middle afternoon the Petals see him returning from the direction of Chessford, a silly grin on his face.
Ahoy, the ship, he calls out officiously. Permission to come aboard," he asks after he has already embarked.
He waves a piece of paper, handing it to the first one who expresses an interest in it.
In elegant large script it reads:
To the members of the Eight Petaled Rose:
Please be my guest at the Wanderer's Roost tonight for a feast worthy of heroes. Dinner will be served at 8:00 pm.

PS. Be sure to bring your handsome assistant, Ramsey, too.
As it is read, Ramsey blushes as he says, "She thinks I'm handsome."

Maybe they have work for us? I know we havn't been hired by anyone yet but I imagine we'll need to if we want to keep on travelling together. Being hansom dosn't fill our coin purses. As he says the above he winks at Ramsay.

Finnian returns to the Rose a sweaty mess and has a moment of panic when he finds out they are to attend dinner that night. I've nothing to wear and I smell. he quickly washes himself with a steady steam of water of his own creation and prepares his spells before attempting to beat the dust out of something presentable.
