Boggs was referring to the rumors about the tide having battled with other heroes of the Wold to save everyone from the Bloodweed.
The group relaxes for the rest of their evening and there is talk of looking in on the Merchants Guild.
The next few days are more of the same, until one afternoon, shortly before dinner there is a knock at the door. Answering, as a knock in of itself is not unusual, you find a messenger boy, perhaps 10 years old and he very officially thrusts a sealed missive at you. Then with a look both ways, darts off. The scroll case actually contains a pair of very short messages. The first from House Knife and the other from House Teeth. Both say practically the same thing. The two Houses are asking that The Tide facilitate a meeting between the two and with The Tide. The Tide is to have full control over the details of where, when and so forth .

Toston says, "The smugglers, the enforcers and us. Well we control the time and place and other concerns so I huess we really have 2 options as far as I see unless I'm overlooking something. Gaffer is surprised by the request, he understands Toston's sentiment though, this may set the feeling of their interactions going forward. "I wonder if making the fact a meeting is occurring public, and sharing some of the details after, but holding it privately, would give us a balance between both. It will be harder for them to act out, but still offer some privacy?"

"I believe that a private meeting is safer for the general population. If it is in a public place and either party misbehaves there could be general population that could get caught in potential crossfire." Lornak shifts in his chair. "We can let out any information we feel the public needs to know after the fact."
"But what location?" He asks the group. "Shale House first comes to mind but I do not want any elemental gems opened up in our home. We just got it all fixed!"
To Hmerrin's comment; "I do not but a location with symbolism could work in our favor. The Merchants Guild? The Temple of Waard? The Sargrass impact site?" He racks his brain.

Toston says, "They'll have to deal with fire in the form of burning hands, scorching rays and my breathe weapon if things turn sour. As much as I want the opportunity to test my breathe weapon out I would prefer if we could do things diplomatically. If we do go for a balanced approach do we risk alienating the other houses taking the meeting? I don't want the fact we are to be facilitating this gathering be seen as an alliance between our factions though it is possible that will be what the houses propose. I'm loathe to side with any Houses vying for control of Dirt City because at the end of the day despite all their differences it really does seem like One Big Club and the Common Folk ain't in it. Honestly I'd like nothing more than to rid the City of the influences of all the houses, let the honest folk have their day in the sun. Bring Law, Order, and Justice to this city and drive them all out. However while we are obviously all becoming stronger in our effective fields we still have a long way to go."

Ethani is a bit surprised by the messages and the requests therein. She did not think that they had gathered THAT much popularity. Hmmm...maybe an association with the Iron Dragons was a powerful tool.
Pushing aside those thoughts, Ethani focuses on how to set up the meeting. "I feel like the Temple of Waard would be a good place, since it is very neutral and by and large the Houses do NOT mess with the Temple. The question is, are the priesthood willing to allow it? I'm sure they don't relish collateral damage anymore than we do...and I am loathe to damage the tentative relationship I have built with them. Still, if we decide it is the correct place, I will reach out to them and see if they are open to it. How many representatives from each group is appropriate? Two from each comes to mind, but I don't want them to view it as a threatening situation with them vastly outnumbered compared to the Tide..."
Ethani looks for more points of view, but is ready to head to the Temple on behalf of the Tide if that is their wish.

The group begins going over the possibilities and there are a few to consider. Where to have the meet itself? Should it be in a public forum, but what if something goes horribly wrong? Perhaps at Shale House, but again, same question. Could the temple of Waard be leveraged? Would they want or allow a semi clandestined meeting to occur? What if something goes wrong?
How many people are going to be at the meeting? The messages do say that this is up to The Tide. SO the question here perhaps changes to how many do you want to invite?
Toston brings up secrecy. Should the meeting be held as privately as possible? House Knife and House Teeth sent a non descript errand boy
Lornak feels a private meeting would be best and postulates the impact site. No one around to get hurt, nothing around to get destroyed, open non threatening. It had a good amount of perks
Ethani volunteers to reach out to the Waard temple if the group goes that direction and she brings up the number of invitees. How many indeed.
Dusan asks if perhaps the meeting is already public knowledge or if there might be some information out there the group could look into on why this is being asked in the first place
There are definitely a great many details and decisions to be made

"Me, I'm good with 4 per side, plus us, which makes it nice and favorable to us, but they should be good. And the meteor site is nice. Away from it all, plus kinda symbolic as to why they shouldn't oughtta mess with us."
"Other option might be Tombo's, if they agree to pay the man for taking over his place for an afternoon. That puts 'em on our turf without letting 'em the lay of our place."

After thinking a little more, Dušan considers, "Then again the same would be true for us as well. Maybe the crater is best. I'm hesitant to have it hear. I wouldn't want to put our tenants in any more danger than they're already in by working in our building."

Toston also says, "I vote we keep the meeting as quiet as possible we send our own nondescript messengers to the houses with our instructions. If we don't want to go to the trouble or the expense of hiring a spell caster to pay for mage's magnificent mansion do you think we might be able to rent one of the safe houses belonging to Crescent Moons Trading Company for a day?"

"I personally like the idea of the crash site. Rather than truly neutral, it is a location more of our own, but without the risk of damage." That said, he is not sure how best to handle creating a meeting area there. He doesn't think a wooded grove would be suitable, which is all he can offer.

"Will it be our charge to run escort?" Lornak continues. "If we have to that may put us in a bind." He stop to consider it. "Actually no, if they want and escort, that can be part of their entourage."

"Hmmm...oh...sorry Gaffer. I was just thinking about what potions I need to prepare for what is surely to be an upcoming combat. As they used to say in the Corp...Be Prepared. Anyway...oh...uh...spells in combat. Well, I'd say honestly you're already quite a bit better at that than I am, so I don't know if I have any helpful advice. Being a Healer of Alemi, I'm pretty limited in what type of offensive spells I can use. Mostly I just hide from combat and try to keep Asteria from killing herself."
The sea elf offers Gaffer a wink. "So I guess I need help understanding your question. Are you trying to narrow down what offensive spells would be good in combat? If so, then you should probably reach out to Toston or Wil. Now if you're trying to figure out how to cower behind a large female barbarian meat shield and look somewhat heroic while you're doing it, I can probably address that one." Ethani chuckles warmly as she waits to see what Gaffer has in mind.

The group talks over and seems to settle in on the idea of the meeting place being at the crater impact site. Also that keeping the meeting on the DL is probably for the best. The number of members from each House is bantered about, 3 or 4 and then what of the entourage if allowed? Is that part of the the 3-4 members. The group is still in the air about trying to hire a spell caster to cast Magnificent Mansion or simply go with furnishing a tent and interior furnishings. Lornak spends a day canvassing Dirt City for rumors and stories about what might be going on. He is able to get some information, but it is not very much. House Teeth and House Knife both have some sort of internal affair going on and each have had their own late night meetings.

"Could the internal strife be fallout from us outing certain factions within House Knife to The Prince?" Lornak muses the dead man Dusan got to speak. He looks over at the bloodwitch; "Good times." He remarks with a smile.
He shakes his head and continues the discussion; "I am of the mind that there are factions from both Houses looking to join up for mutual benefit. How that involves us makes me a bit wary. However, it really does not matter. We have to just keep the parties from being harmed or harming each other, while not harming us." He slaps the top of the table jovially. "Easy!"
His hand moves away to reveal $100 gold for the spell Toston suggests, It nearly slides off the tabletop and onto the floor. (Slight of Hand d20=9) Lornak continues as if nothing happened; "Reaching out to the Iron Dragons for some help seems prudent, see what you can do Toston."
"I am going to work up a sigil for our 'insignia' and see that a proper emblem be crafted alongside the ones I will acquire for the marshal tent." (Profession scribe d20=14) "I will then take Asteria with me to gather up the tent and peripherals themselves."
"While Wil gathers more intel, I suggest Gaffer and Ethani check out an appropriate spot for the meeting at the actual site. Look for the best place to make a hasty exit should the need arise."
"Hmerrin, If you would be so kind and be on furniture detail, it would be appreciated."
Dusan, my friend. Can you arrange a messenger? We will set the meeting time for an hour before dusk the day after tomorrow."

Gaffer chuckles at Ethani's response, saying, "You looked plenty heroic recently, though if you know any other of those barbarian meat shields, I wouldn't mind one myself." He takes a moment to think on her real question, "I suppose I am partly asking if I should just be focusing on offence. I realized last fight that I could have better prepared for... for the ranged attackers." He offers a guilty smile. As Toston comments he replies, "I'm not sure how much fire I can use, but if the group thinks I should just be focusing on offense, I will definitely find my own equivalent."
On their trip to the crash site, Gaffer takes not of the size of the area and of the ground beneath his feet. He wants to see if it is either stone that he can manipulate, or if there is enough vegetation for spells like Spike Growth.

Ethani laughs with Gaffer. It's amazing how good laughter feels after a near death experience.
Grinning as she is assigned with Gaffer, Ethani whistles a happy tune as she heads to the meeting site.
As she examines the area she chats amicably with the druid., bringing up their prior conversation. "Yes, we really could use some more offensive casters. Though your lightening spells were brilliant! "
As Ethani is studying the area for escape route prospects (Perception=11), she begins to piece together that Gaffer might feel guilty for her death. "Oh...oh... oh Gaffer. Surely you don't feel responsible for me getting shot by the giants, do you?! Nobody could have foreseen that. And when it is your time to meet Gargul, it is your time. I am not sure why I am still among the living, but I am grateful for my second chance. "
Ethani's green eyes twinkle with sincerity as she seeks to reassure Gaffer.

Ethani scouts the area for what seems like an eternity. Feeling like she has drastically overlooked the escape routes, she stops conversing with Gaffer and focuses on what she is here for (Percept=30). Noting down potential routes in her notebook, she gives serious thought as to what do do should things go South (Survival=15).

Gaffer grins too in response, "Then that's where I will focus my attention." With her sigh he continues from what Ethani says next, "I understand that a lot happens in a fight that we can't control, but watching what happened to you, and realizing that I had a spell which might have prevented it, if only I had been more aware... It's not a mistake I want to make twice." Appreciating Ethani's reassurance, though somewhat guilty that she is having to offer it, he just adds, "I am truly, very glad it was not your time."
Seeing that Ethani has turned to focus on scouting the area, Gaffer does the same. He attempts to read the sky and judge what weather conditions they might have for the next couple of days. (Nature: 12)

Lornak puts down money for the Mage's Magnificent Mansion is a caster can be found and then sets off to work on acquiring a large tent that can be used for the meeting. Lornak is informed that it will take about 5 days to deliver what he is asking for
Toston heads to the WLA and spends the morning. The end result is no one there is capable of such powerful magic, no one on hand could even cast Private Sanctum. One wizard by the name of Albrost is willing to try the spell if you get a scroll with it penned. The WLA is happy to send a message to the Iron Dragons, however it would be by mundane means to their castle which will take time. For his afternoon he heads to the fighting school to see Vorelle. He spends several hours hanging out, but does eventually get noticed and she moves over to hear Toston out. She furrows her brow a bit, not bothering to mask her general displeasure. "This is what you are about today. I have done my bid for gods and the Wold, and I am done with the weight of such things. But I am also not an information broker, or a help sign. No, I do not know anyone of that arcane power here in Dirt City. As for contacting the Iron dragons, to be a Dragon is to work at protecting the Wold from Wold ending events, not mitigate between two Houses of Dirt City. Now this is a school and I have other matters to attend to, excuse me. She turns and walks off, Hoping that her harsh tones were not to over the top. She wanted to help, she really did, but Boggs was right, The Tide needed to get used to being much more on their own and work their own means.
Gaffer and Ethani arrive at the site, it is much as it was the last time you saw it. Good sized crater with sparse trees and grass all around. Pretty wide open. Gaffer thinks the next few days likely to remain on the warm side with no rain.
Wil heads to and is confronted by multiple members of House Teeth and in general is told that it would be in his best interest to not come snooping into their territory. House Knives is likewise on a higher level of alert and Wil is politely threatened to leave.
Hmerrin can locate a few rugs, chairs and other relatively ordinary furnishings, with some difficulty. Repairing the city from the multiple recent catastrophes has put a strain on anything resembling building materials. But he is able to, and can rent a horse and wagon if need be to carry it all. It will take 4 days to assemble it.
The curfew is in full affect after Dusk and so the members of the Tide smartly make their return to Shale House. Any spells more powerful than you can cast, are going to have to be done with the purchase of a scroll and seeing if Albrost gets it right. His fee to attempt it is 500 gold

Hmerrin suspects Lornak wanted him to build some furniture, but the lad knows there just isn't enough time to get that done. Instead, he relies on the time he's spent rebuilding various taverns to call in some favors and borrow a couple decent tables, and some chairs, and hey, Fiderous has a rug that needs beat out, so he'll take that, and a couple torch holders or four, and a wagon, and he comes back that evening quite pleased with himself.
"Can have it all out there in four days," he announces over dinner.
"Any idea where 'there' is?"

Lornak is a little disappointed hearing Toston's update when the group gathers up again.
"Well, my plan B is to suggest either we have the floating rug spell handy that we can literally pull out the decorative rug out from under them if need be." Lornak smiles. "Or I can prep Entangle to have ready to cover our egress. I am not a fan of the openness of the location." He steals a glance at Gaffer. "However, I believe it is our best bet."
"I mean, we may be over thinking these things. They may legitimately want to meet with us..." Lornak muses. "...then again, it IS Dirt City."
To Hmerrin; "Well done! The tent will also be put up by then. We have our date."
"Oh?" Lornak remarks to Dusan. "I misunderstood. I thought you would add a spell from your repertoire to one of mine, not two of mine." He pauses to think, "I believe the only thing we could combine for the desired effect would be Entangle or in the case of beasts, Calm Animal."
Later that night.
Lornak lays bare chested upon his bed with Ethani's head resting upon the nook of his chest and shoulder muscles. He breathes in the scent of her hair and his whole person seems to relax. He goes to speak and stops, gently pushing away a tendril from her forehead. He has had lot on his mind and a ton to digest from the recent events surrounding them. Even though they have shared more of each other than they ever have before he hesitates to share something personal.
He is aware of her sensing his reluctance and before she can chastise him; "I do not usually invite opinions about the details of the next image I pen permanently into my flesh..." His hand absently glides upon her shoulder to her waist, down her buttocks. "...but seeing that you will be viewing them more often now I feel the need to chronicle the meteor shower, travelling to the Planes and encountering Gargul's Messenger." Toston relays his sizing up of the Caster to his friends and tells them the odds of his own casting versus what he thinks Albrost could do. He also points out as a hero he has certain advantages Albrost doesn't.

Arriving back before the curfew, Ethani shares her report with the others. When the topic of payment for the spellcaster comes up, Ethani shrugs "I can pitch in some gems, but I need to be cautious. I've been covering the cost of all the party's healing supplies from my personal funds. I really should try and get better armor so that...uhhh...what happened in the Saragrass doesn't happen again." Just thinking about her recent death makes her rub subconsciously at the "death wound" scar.
Unwinding with Lornak, Ethani sighs in satisfaction. Somehow everything was better lying in his arms. Worries faded and the troubles of Dirt City were less pressing. "Mmmmm....okay." she murmurs as Lornak begins, not sure where the conversation is headed. When he sits up, she idly strokes his chest reassuringly. And then she understands. He feels guilty. Guilty about her death?? It truly amazes the sea elf how personally the member of the Tide took her passing. "Lornak, my Love, your body is beautiful. Your inkings are very meaningful and significant to you. Even as your lover, it is not my right to speak to how you memorialize your life. As always, I believe you have chosen wisely. But I must ask, because I do not wish to burden you. Are you feeling guilty about my death? I do not want to be blunt, but I spoke with Gaffer today, and he feels responsible for not stopping the giant archers..."
Deliberately and purposefully, Ethani places Lornak's hand on her scar. "This...this is not your fault. This is not Gaffer's fault." Ethani gently lifts Lornak's chin with her other hand, gently meeting his eyes. "This is my fault. If such things can find fault with a person. I was over confident. I knew that they might turn their attention toward me, but I thought the air elementals might keep them distracted. And I wanted to end the dragon quickly. I placed myself in unnecessary danger, and I am sorry my Love. And had I gone before Gargul, I would have begged for my life to be returned to me and promised him that I will never, EVER make such a mistake again. I cannot bear to leave you Lornak. And as much as is within my control, I never will place myself is such a compromising position again. You have my word."

"Also, you only need ask for our contribution for battle healing costs, we would never hesitate to compensate you. That goes for you too Dusan, my friend."
"My heart died that day, more so than when you disappeared on me." Lornak responds to Ethani's confession. "A madness that turned control to chaos in a split second." He puts his hand over the one touching the battle scar. "I lost my composure, a circumstance I said would never allow happen with you and I in battle. And yet it came to pass."
"We all make mistakes from time to time, promises we cannot keep..." He meets her gaze. "...and if fault is it to be placed. Should it not also be placed on me as well? Not only would I not see you shoulder it alone and I I know I am not the leader of this band of misfits but I tend to assume that role when we find ourselves in a pressing situation." He gently kisses the top of her hand. "Thank you for that." He says sincerely about her never letting it happen again then continues after a long pause; "However, as your commander, I order you to not let that happen again." He says to her playfully to lighten the mood.

Toston does know too much about Albrost, but judges from casual conversation that the man is certainly more well versed than he in the arcane arts. I don't think Toston can cast the spell, ability score needs to be 17
Gaffer is happy to see there is plenty of vegetation, a Plant Growth spell would do quite nicely.
Hmerrin and Lornak have the final preparations ready with the tent and furnishings and so the only thing to do now is decide when to send word to House Teeth and House Knife.
How much advanced notice will you provide? How many are invited from each House and lastly? Do you buy the Scroll and bring Albrost to the meeting to cast it?

I could probably double my contribution as well. I think we should give them at least 3 days notice, but not delay more than a week and 4 from each house seems like a good number. Two delegates and two guards, or however they want to split it up."
Responding to Ethani, "Don't forget Lornak and I make a good team around a cauldron if you want more cure potions. Should be a little cheaper than the catacombs."

The site and general arrangement are settled upon. The party will give a couple days notice and invite 4 members from each House and the message will, of course, provide the location and specific time. The only matter in the air now is do you invite Albrost to the meeting with the the 2 Houses so that he can attempt the spell from a scroll. Albrost would have to be there in order to designate who can enter.
Gaffer intends to use a Plant Growth spell with in the crater and can designate areas that the plants wont tangle and twist, creating paths. His current thought is a single path out of the area to be used as an escape route should the need arise. Surely he will create a path to the meeting site as well, so that no one has to hack there way in.
Most of the group, at this point is against bringing Albrost and using the scroll
For expediency, we are going to go mundane meeting, unless everyone chimes in and has a change of heart
It is now three days before you plan to meet and you pen a pair of messages, one to House Teeth and one to House Knife. The following morning, a messenger shows up and hands whoever answered the door, a plain wooden tube. Within it, is an equally simple message. Agreed, below is the seal of House Knife and House Teeth
The tent and furnishings are ready, it will take a good part of the day to get to the crater and set up. Barring that detail anything else? Gaffer will place the Plant Growth spell after the tent it erected, creating a 100' radius about it of tangled briars and thick undergrowth except where he designates.

Hmerrin sets to work, getting couple guys to help him load the wagon (for whatever the going wage is), he then sets off for the meeting site.
Once there, he starts directing the unbusy folks (cough, Asteria, cough) in what to put where. The tent goes up, then the rugs, and then tables and chairs. He asks someone to place the torch holders and such while he inspects and performs any last minute tightening on the table and chairs.

The meeting is set, the area prepped with Gaffer's spell and the tent and all furnishings are erected and placed. The Marshal tent is large enough for the entire contingent that will be present though it will be a bit crowded unless some remain outside.
Dusan with his coven prepare a few curing oils and alchemical items. Ethani makes a last minute run to the Catacombs to upgrade her armor and as always the staff of the CC deliver on time Ethani, send me an email of what you are getting and put it on your sheet. we don't have to wait real life for the CC
The day has arrived and The Tide are at the meeting site well early enough to make sure all goes smoothly. When you arrive, or perhaps some of you simply stayed to stand guard, you are pleasantly surprised that all is calm and no intruders have been or are about.
House Knife arrives first. Two Men and two women, all human. One man and one woman are dressed for battle, wearing partial plate, carrying a large steel shield and armed with a long sword and composite longbow. The other two are wearing leather armor under their tunics and each has a rapier at their hip. All four are dressed to impress you could say, with an assortment of jewelry and award crests of their house and it is very obvious that the equipment the have is of the finest make.
The armored pair are at the rear as they four move down the path to the tent. The woman speaks first, "Greetings from House Knife, members of The Tide. This, she gestures to her right, is Mr Thesk and I am Kat. I see we have arrived first and so at least that part of this is going well. Might we enter?"

As the time draws close, Toston finds a place close by and makes himself a small blind, Gaffer transforms into a hawk and takes to the air. He soon spots, what will turn out to be the Knife House party about 3 miles off. The rest of the party waits and greets the first group and does so we remarkable grace and tact. Mr Thesk arches a brow at Dusan, apparently taken a bit by surprise at his diplomatic skill. Kat smiles and nods, "It is a pleasure to be speaking with someone who might actually know what he is doing." She beams a smile at Dusan.
The pair enter and have a seat, while the two unnamed men in plate wait just outside. Mr Thesk "Those two will be not be part of the actual meeting. Like him," His thumb aims to Hmerrin, "They're here as muscle" Kat and Thesk accept a drink and a bit of bread and cheese and in very short order word comes that House Teeth is arriving
House Teeth sent 4 as well and in a similar fashion, though none are so heavily armored. All wear chainsirts and carry a small assortment of weapons weapons Two wait outside and two enter and are introduced. Jack and Linus. Jack is a human male in his mid 20's and Linus is a male half elf with obvious sea elf lineage. Jack grins and slaps the table as he sits down, "Well this is a hoot, I get to meet with The Tide and Thesk?! my day is not likely getting any better."

Ethani follows the same protocol she did with the House Knife representatives...introducing herself, offering hospitality, etc. She works very hard trying to make it abundantly obvious that no favoritism is being shown to either group.
Taking note of Linus' heritage, Ethani keeps her tone purely conversational. "Mr. Linus, it is not often that I find one of similar heritage as myself in Dirt City. I hope I am not prying if I ask how you found yourself in Dirt City?"
Since he seems to be doing an awesome job, Ethani also pulls back and let's Dusan do the talking, though she is more than willing to participate in any idle chit chat so that the group looks friendly.

Gaffer enjoys the feeling of air currents rising beneath his wings, but wary of getting distracted he puts his attention to casting detect magic with the end of the cone touching the tent, and the area covering as much of the created path as possible. Kim says, "Both the Teeth and the Knives want the same thing: Bring back these House traitors alive, each to the House he betrayed. Also bring back the goods they stole."

Relieved that people have come too their senses, Ethani smiles at Lornak. Truthfully, she couldn't WAIT to find the slime balls that were assisting with the sale of arms to her mortal energy. She's pretty determined that she will spend some time afterward finding out just how deep the rabbit hole goes. In the meantime, she nods her assent. "As Lornak stated, we are glad to be of assistance. "
Toston makes a mental note of the distrust between the 2 houses and their reluctance to divulge further details until some sort of deal is made.
He also keeps an eye out for any new threats

Toston waits until their guests have departed leaving just the Tide before emerging from the blind and saying to his companions, "I do believe their distrust in one another is genuine, however it might make sense to verify independently that the alledged traitors are in actuality the Sahuagin Arms Merchants if possible before we move against them. If the traitors were involved with the arms trafficking then yes lets act but if the traitors weren't involved in the arms trade isn't this more of a matter for the houses ro settle on their own?"

There is no confrontation over pay after all. Jack hands you a scroll. Kim does the same. They smile and take their leave.
"I admit I have had my doubts about 'heroes' in Dirt City," says, Linus as he turns to go. "But maybe we can do business after all." He nods to Hmerrin as he goes.
On Jack's scroll: Description of a human named Jared Langers. Tall, dark hair, dark complexion. He left for the northwest hills just before the quakes hit. He stole certain secret ledgers and a ring of invisibility, which he used to get away. The House wants both ring and ledgers back.
On Kim's scroll: Description of a strong squat human named Oafish Jym. He has fair skin and red hair and dwarfish beard. He took a cape of the mounteback, which lets him dimension door once a day. The House wants this cape back. Sources say they pair may have gone to a certain ruins. A rough map is provided indicating the ruin is about 20 miles, a 2-3 day journey through the trackless hills. Don’t get lost.
Both scrolls emphasize they want these traitors back alive!

Breathing a deep sign of relief, Ethani turns to Dusan. "That was FANTASTIC Dusan!! Well done!! You handled that amazingly!" Turning to the others, she blushes slightly. "I would be remiss if I don't let you know that this matter impacts me personally and that I would really like to find out how deep all of this goes so that I can neutralize once and for all the threat to the mer-people. Truth be told, Alemi will have to forgive me...but I want blood." Taking up a spot near Lornak Ethani finds solace in his closeness.
She does not trust herself with the self control needed to confront her mortal enemy. She makes a mental note to discuss the matter with Lornak privately, as she knows she will need his help and possibly all of the Tide's when it comes to approaching the sahuagin connection as a "Hero".

"As much as I would love to see a new rule for the people, I'm not sure were positioned to due this," Dušan says to Toston, "but maybe if we can get the house to trust or rely on us, we can use that to our advantage in the future. What you're suggesting is more than politics, but revolution. If we're not careful, the chaos could hurt the small folk more than help them."
"But maybe it is time for us to start thinking about how we can move towards that goal weather it's by playing the houses off each other or with grass roots movements started within the people. Right now I'd be happy if the Sahuagin were no longer a threat..." Turning back to Ethani, Dušan adds, "To anyone."

"I'll personally settle for living through the next week," he murmurs in response to the group's vision.
Turning back to the conversation, he looks at the scrolls. "Says here both fellas are together at this ruin a few day's hike from here. One can turn invisible and one can just dimension door away from us. And in case you don't remember," the teen assumes Kim's pose, and in a very bad imitation announces - "Bring them back alive!"
He turns to Ethani. "How does all this play into the mer people thing?"
One way or the other, all these tables and chairs aren't getting back into the wagon by themselves, and Hmerrin commences with the camp breaking.

The Tide have agreed to head into the wilds after the fugitives of House Teeth and Knife. They have a description of the 2 and a general rough map with a possible destination upon it. Oafish Jym and Jared Langers. The Tide also have information on the possessions each House wants returned, everything else they may find belongs to the Tide.
Toston feels it would be prudent to see if there is any way to verify the story they have just been told. Most others agree, but how. The Tide could learn little about the meeting they just had, verifying details of the meeting could be quite a trick.
There is some banter about going overboard for this particular meeting, but impressions go a long way. Bottom line, The Tide just brokered a non violent meeting between two Houses that don't like each much.
Regardless, the very next move is to pack everything up and soon enough it is done and the group is off.
Gaffer is able to watch the Knives and Teeth depart. Almost immediately past the Plant Growth area, the two groups diverge and make haste to put distance between themselves and ranged weapons are brought to hand. Gaffer loses Kat as she passes under a tree, never to reemerge. The called Linus, extracts a wand and with 4 taps, his party vanishes. Gaffer can follow some grass and brush being bent here or there for a bit, but does lose them as well. Mr Thesk and the two armored men, simply put down a good pace towards Dirt City
The group returns to Shale House for final plans, errands and the not.

Before the group leaves on their manhunt he makes arrangements with the rental company to take down the tent.
