What makes you think this is the effect of a magic user, specifically one with ill intent? what motive could someone have to combine taur races for evil purposes? It seems to me that we should learn more about the cause before we go tinkering with these children by means of experimental potions.

The food is delivered. Warm steam rises from the bread. The lobster is pinkish and so is Rolth’s steak. A noise just outside of sight causes a bit of commotion and a few cloaked monks rush toward the issue. Eldridge looks toward the noise and becomes a bit distracted but returns his attention to the group. He looks a uncomfortable after the mention of untwisting of the children. “Untwisting may be too much comfortable talk Luther. Bad form… Unfortunately, what I suspect has happened…” “It’s an illusion…” inserted Luther. “It’s a mass effect spell that seems to of been dispersed at once. Such a cruel thing to do.” Eldridge began, “My young friends, the children do not have a condition.” “Let’s not be hasty, Eldridge.” Luther said after a moment of thought. “Most of what we are saying is conjecture. Let’s make an official investigation out of this.” “Of course, that is an excellent idea,” Luther replies. “May we look into this issue for you?” He asks the group. “I hear you have a mystery about a sea captain,” says Eldridge. “Of course, for a challenge like this.. No charge. Enjoy the meal.” “Is there anything else we can help you with?” Says Luther. “Sounds like we may have an issue with a couple werewolves. It’s not all buttercups and lobster.”

On mention of the werewolves, Rolth perks up a bit. "Are the werewolves causing trouble here and now, or is this a less immediate concern?"

The exchange between Luther and Eldridge, including mention of an official investigation, leaves Kiwina feeling that they do not really know what's going on. This is a bit disturbing since they clearly have heard rumors of the children. And because they want to appear informed.
"Werewolves?" Kiwina's home islands had no such creatures. He looks at the cloaked monks to see what they are doing to handle the problem. (perception = 15)

"Eh.. don't worry about the werewolves. Probably just a little too much alcohol. For such a pleasurable drink it has some consequences for others." A crash and some small screams and a fight is now visible. A tall fur covered humanoid punches a half orc causing the half orc to fall into the large blob like creature. Both tumble to the ground. The half orc stands, complains for half a second about a slimy film from the blob like creature, then tackles the werewolf. Two large humans rush to the scene and secure both as Luther attempt to help the blob like creature. He stands awkwardly attempting to help but ends up just looking silly. Eldridge visibly sighed, "This is a respectable restaurant. This is so unacceptable. Even with the best guard they are ruining everything. Everyday, it's something!" Eldridge's character broke down and he was visibly shaken/embarrassed. "If only I could keep these to a minimum it would avoid this mess." The werewolf broke free of his human restraints and the two creatures fought upon the floor. "No! no!"

Perception vs DC 14 Highlight to display spoiler: {"You sent your family to send a message," growled the werewolf as he snapped at the half orc. "You are insane. I didn't do that. I can't help it your father is a troublemaker," shouted the half orc. You notice that the half orc has a gash tracing the side of his face. } Eldridge and Luther ask that the guards step away. Each casts a spell and each stealthy touch their target. Both the werewolf and the half orc freeze in place. They argue for a moment but suddenly realize they can't move. The guards quickly scoop up the paralyzed fighters and take them away. Eldridge and Luther immediately begin to apologize to the customers affected by the scuffle. They socialize while the wait staff clean up the mess. A sudden crash from the other room prompts another rush of activity.

Kiwina tries to place the familiar voice -- Eldridge or Luther, perhaps? Luther lies upon the floor of the restaurant with a large knife perturbing from his chest. His friend Eldridge stand above him with blood dripping from his hands. "He did it," shouted a patron, an elf with a chip on his shoulder. "I didn't see anything," says a beautiful human woman dressed in expensive, exotic, cloaks. Two half orcs, brothers, stand near the back, arms crossed, blood sprayed across their large bare chest. Near the foot of the dead man is a small rat-like man. He is rubbing his hands together and wrinkling his nose. From the back a guard rushes forward. "Oh no, what happened?" You notice his chest is splatter with blood and his hand is wrapped. Rolth looks closely at the two half orcs, to see whether the blood is spattered beneath where their arms are crossed or not. He thinks that if they had their arms crossed when the blood fountained out (and therefore have no blood under the crossed arms), then they probably aren't the killers, or at least didn't wield the knife.

Realizing that his meal is truly over at this point Falco, with a crab leg in one hand, goes to check on the knifed man. {Heal Check: 22} He bends to examine the body and, assuming it is dead, wants to be sure it is the knife wound that caused the damage.
Glancing at Rolth "Best make sure none of these folks run off."
He looks up and spots the half orcs, while he talks he points the crab leg at those near by. "Lot of blood on you two and you don't even look surprised by it." looking at the rat-like man rubbing his hands he blinks "Why are you rubbing your hands? Nervous? Stop it."

Kiwina lookss at the knife and examines the people around. (Perception = 22) Does it appear that the knife likely came from a kitchen, or is it designed for fighting? Does anyone have an empty sheath or otherwise appear to be missing a knife? Kiwina is unsure which "he" the elf is referring to.
"Are you in authority here?" Kiwina asks the guard. "Eldridge and my friend will try to help Luther. I guess that means you should get each of these people to tellls you what they saw. You've done this sort of thing before?"
Kiwina stays by the guard, both to enforce the idea that the guard is in charge here and to hear what is said. He notes with some satsfaction that the suspects are all smaller than he and Rolth are, and is willing to loom over any of them if the guard appears to need the support.

Falco looks at the elf and the rat-man and considers his own physical position and, the simply fact, that he is waving around a crab leg. With a sigh he gestures to the rat-man.
"My man come here. It appears I have a different perspective then your 'friend' the elf." He snaps his fingers at the elf "Down here madam.... thank you. Now, instead of racial tinged nonesne how about you help out and tell us what you saw, not what you think please."
He looks back to the rat-folk and sighs before handing over the crab leg. "And you... what is your perspective?"
Something in this has clearly engaged Falcos innate sense of a good story as well has his unhappiness with mistreating the small folks.

The half orcs look at each other and the older speaks, "we were standing here minding our own business when this monk started bleeding. All we saw was a hand then darkness. The light from Eldridges light disappeared as the room began to brighten. The councilwoman wiped away a tear but stood and replied angrily. "I'm fine. She throws the necklace on the ground. "I was behind our victim. I didn't see anything. He deserved it," she spit. Sudden darkness stuck again and the councilwoman screamed. Eldridge cast Light immediately and the poor woman became the next victim. Perception vs. 20 Highlight to display spoiler: { You happen to catch the image of a man skirting through the crowd.} Using the previous health check you are able to tell the woman is still alive. She is deathly injured.

Kiwina looks to see that all the suspects and bodies are still in the area.-- Luther, Eldridge, the elf with a chip on his shoulder, beautiful human (council)woman, two orcs, small rat-like man, and guard. Rolth had been talking with the orcs and Kiwina had been shadowing the guard, Falco the rat-man, and Elyas the councilwoman. If anyone is missing, Kiwina calls to the guards at the doors and describes the missing person.

Elyas is on alert after the first death, and his time on the streets has given him a quick eye for following a target in a crowd and noticing a mark. as soon as there is light again, instead of being distracted by the injured woman (not that he is heartless, just pragmatic and with no ability as a medic) Elyas spins around looking for someone out of place.

There! He shouts, pointing at a man he spotted. He's trying to sneak away!
Elyas quickly casts a spell, a magical spider web forming between the wall of the room and the floor, catching the new suspect right in the center.

The man jumps just before the web but leaps right into the sticky mess. His hat falls upon the ground in front of the web. The guard struggles and swears. "I didn't do anything." Elyas easily finds the guard struggling to drop a bloody knife. His other hand struggles to cast a spell. "I am a good person. The councilwoman is the bad person here. I didn't ask her to cheat on me. This is all a big misunderstanding."

In front of him are a greasy plate and a goblet, the remains of his sumptuous meal. As he comes to full wakefulness he hears raised voices from a nearby room. Rising to his feet he notices food and drink still set out in abundance on the tables around him, seems like the former occupants departed in haste. He sets off toward the commotion to find out what is going on...

Seeing the woman injured and dieing Falco quickly casts a healing spell on the woman hoping to save her. {CLW: 8} When Elyas yells about someone sneaking away he glances up but stays with the woman a moment longer.

Still unsure as to the condition of the woman Falco joins Elyas at the struggling man. He blinks up at the man caught in the web, noting to himself how like a fly he looks.
"Your good? She is bad? Are you in a position to make that judgement and exact punishment? Knifing someone is normally bad though I have done it as a good action. I think the place for this is a court, not at dinner."
