DM StevenVdB - the Dragon is large… very… very… very large… Thursday September 19th, 2019 8:40:12 AM
After breakfast and the townsmeeting the Tree Wardens prepare for what could be their final journey… to meet and hopefully defeat Temorianalis. The Red Dragon that has found her lair deep inside the Fire Mountain. Krugg, their Duergar captive, will be their guide. He will take them into the Scab and towards the dreaded mountain range… to meet their doom or to find riches beyond imagination.
Vamir appears back with the group with some sort of small weeping willow wobbling behind him. The shrubbery is introduced as Melzat. (Vamir, please feel free to RP your companion in your posts)
Meanwhile Atlas, Armand and Owen make sure the Tree Warden Bookkeepers are happy too. Excess gold is transferred from one to the other making sure everyone will be able to get mano a mano with the dragon.
Before taking of there’s a small debate between Neshi, El and Armand about Dragons in general. As this Temorianalis spits fire the bright Wardens already deducted it must be a red dragon. Krugg adds that the Dragon is large… very… very… very large…
Horses are viable options and for Krugg you manage to find a donkey where you can tie him to.
Farewell are said and the townsfolk wave you out. They stand near the road for quite a while until you are all out of sight. Perhaps the easiest way to travel would be the Old Trader’s Road North? Pass the Crescent Valley, the Giant Towers and then into the Scab…

Atlas is glad to be back astride his mount, Sabre. He periodically strokes his neck and does his best to keep the stallion rested. Periodically he'll go through a practice maneuver or two just to make sure they're in sync, or a short run to stretch his legs. "It's good to be on the road, and hunting dragons and treasure of all things, what a life!"

Vamir looks at the horses, and shudders remembering a few days ago, and his unfortunate attempts at riding. Vamir discreetly asks for a small wagon, or cart to hitch behind a mule and if that is not possible for a broom. Vamir introduces his small plant companion to the group, but in contrast to Zaita, Melzat seems shy, extending a small branch to shake hands with each of the party members, "Me Melzat" before tucking behind Vamir's legs.
Vamir rides as near to those discussing dragons as possible, either on his broom or preferably, in a cart.

Owen (Trey posting for Weston) Friday September 20th, 2019 11:45:10 AM
Owen takes his time visiting the Catacombs, looking over the wares and talking to the patrons. He's excited to make his purchases, but parting with the gold...ugh. As he waits he thinks about the dragon and what Krugg told them. Speaking to himself out loud, "I need to be prepared with something other than fire." He gets a few looks, but he's not the only one speaking to himself.

Prepared and happy to be on the road again, the Tree Wardens travel North through the Red Hills. Contemplating he’ll need something different than fire to defeat the Red Dragon, Owen made a quick visit to the Catacombs.
Krugg, the Duergar Captive, follows quite a large trail North. Atlas is glad to be back astride his mount, Sabre. The prospect of hunting for dragons and treasure actually makes him feel quite well! Combined you have enough knowledge about the Red Hills to know Krugg is leading you in the direction. Armand has no map, but Elyngael knows at least the direction is quite all right. Neshi did travel here before he met the Wardens. He used Trader’s Corner as a base of operations. Not risking to ride a horse again Vamir is following the small caravan in a cart pulled by mule… with him Melzat… looks like a shy Weeping Willow for now as he gets introduced to the others.
And so a couple of horses, a donkey and a cart pulled by a mule work their way North through the Red Hills. The day slowly passes quite uneventful… you all have plenty of time to ponder how to face a Dragon… The only intermezzo you get through the day is when Krugg’s donkey refuses to take another step… you push him… you pull his reigns… Krugg laughs out loud as the Wardens try to get the donkey to move again.
The sun is setting… you should reach the Northern edge of the Red Hills in a day or two…

DM StevenVdB - "What a life!" Monday September 23rd, 2019 1:39:03 PM
The donkey refusing to go any further and Krugg madly laughing about it makes the Wardens decide to calling it a day. Armand wonders if Krugg has any reason to be this happy... perhaps the poor Duergar is just liking the situation... after all, he sits atop a Donkey while you are marching to save his kin! Who wouldn't be happy with that?!
If Donkey's could look perplex this one certainly would after Neshi warns it...
Krugg is secured. Melzat is introduced to Zaita and to the group. Both don't need food nor sleep (mind you, Melzat needs fresh water or the willow will go weeping even more) so Vamir suggests they take watch along with the rest of the Warden.
Owen, El and Atlas prepare the group for bedtime. Standard routines are kept and so at last the Wardens take a nap. It's been a long journey so far. You have almost reached the Northern part of the Red Hills.
The night passes quite uneventful again... like the night before and the night before that. Dawn comes again... Some appropriate rolls perhaps?

Night passes by slowly. Zaita and Melzat are also on guard duty. Some, like Vamir and Armarnd need only very little sleep. The Cleric of Gargul helps keeping an eye out on Krugg. The Duergar though is sound a sleep... snorring quite loud actually... As soon as he's awake Vamir performs his rituals, prepares his spells and makes sure Melzat tucks his roots into the soil. In turn, Elyngael Atlas and Owen take watch also. When it is his turn to keep watch Yurneshi dozes off now and then... oblivious to what goes on around their camp site.
Apart from rodents, bats perhaps and a bunch of quite annoying mosquitos there's nothing much going on near the trail they follow through the Red Hills...
At day break it's time to move on... again... a light breakfast perhaps? Krugg's secured to the Donkey again. The whole caravan keeps following the trail due North. With Melzat the group has yet another party member.
In the early afternoon El perceives noise up ahead the trail... (perception rolls weren't for the night before ;-) ) You can see two enlarged Duergar in front of a monastery! Probably another Duergar group raiding for gold and treasure... all in Temorianalis' name...
The group hasn't exactly been very quite the whole way North. Horses, a cart, a donkey, a noise Duergar captive, willow, cauldron... my my my that's a rackety rackety noise as you work your way through the Red Hills... of course the Duergar have heard you coming from miles...
Feel free to reposition your characters as you see fit - though you must start your move on the trail.

The two enlarged Duergar observe you as you come closer to the monastery.
Atlas reaches out to them yet while he does, his eyes scan the surrounding area looking for more trouble...
Everyone feels Armand's Bless washing over them. (do not forget to incorporate it into your rolls)
Vamir keeps his companions on alert to. Zaita, using her senses is able to see and hear within a range of 60ft...
(DM OOC - I'm a bit puzzled. Senses on an AI only allow to see and hear within the described range. In this case 60ft. If Zaita would have blindsense or Darkvision those senses are also added. You also ask for hostile emotions but I don't understand why Zaita would be able to sense that...? Am I missing something here? I will allow it this round, but I would appreciate if you could inform how or why Zaita can sense emotions at range. Thanks for your help and understanding.)
Zaita informs Vamir it 'senses' two more Duergar hiding in the surrounding woods... and yes they are hostile enough...
As for Melzat, (please make perception rolls for your companion. The Plant companion also comes with a number of skills. Please add that to your sheet) he catches the scent of one Duerger due North from your position... meaning somewhere within 30ft away from Vamir (can you get an icon on the map for Melzat and Zaita to?)
Seeing the present danger, Neshi moves southward...
El and Brawn move close to Atlas (I repositioned you on the map as such) who addressed the Duergar first... Owen keeps a spell readied. Should the Duerger attack, he'll cast Bull's Strength on Armand
The Duerger ready their Warhammers and repostion themselves...
So the situation is as follows...
Zaita 'senses' two more Duerger within 60ft from you... Melzat caught the scent of one Duerger North of you within 30ft

We spared his life and he's leading us back so we can kill this dragon of yours. Why don't you join us. I really don't want you to face us like him and his friends did. He's the only one left, you should know this before you do something you regret."

Dispite the sudden appearance of more Duergar the Wardens do not loose their wits. A well placed Blade Barrier by Armand catches three of the Duergar! Whirling blades slice through them yet all three of them avoids part of the damage and gets to move south of the Barrier! ( Cyan Ref save : 24 / Red Ref save : 22 Black Ref save : 25)
Startled when the attack lands, Vamir moves away from his assailant and he immediately turns invisible... (don't forget Melzat!)
Elyngael repositions and starts shooting (@ Yellow) but only her second arrow strikes through the Duergar's armor... Brawn too fails to connect. His teeth biting a large chunk of air...
...BWAM...HACK... SLASH...WAHM... SHWISH...... Atlas's sword sings 5 times in a row as he wildly bashes on the Duergar in front of him (@Green). The first two draw blood and a lot of it. But after the first two succesful hits, Atlas gets less accurate.
[n]Yurneshi[/b] unleashes the power of nature on the Duergar! Lightning crackles as it races from one to the other. The bolts even make Brawn's fur standing!! (Green Ref Save : 17 / Black ref save : 25 / Yellow Ref save : 20 / Red Ref Save : 12)
After having given Armand some extra protection, Owen keeps his distance... ready to jump in where needed.
The Red and Green Duergar both pummel Atlas with full attacks each! Both gruesomely fail to getting through the Breastpate and Spiked shield! The tank appears to be indestructible! Both Duerger glance at eachother wondering how they both fail to draw blood from this inferior being...

Neshi, neglecting the collateral damage he might cause sends a fireball that engulfs the three Duerger in front of the monastery. Seems like they all are caught off guard and they get burned pretty bad!
(DM Note @ Vamir : since the Duerger attacked they are no longer invisible)
Vamir attempts to dominate one of the Duerger but his spell has no effect. Melzat casts entangle on the Duerger attacking Brawn. (I added some space for the entangle field, please adjust to the correct dimensions for Melzat)(Yellow ref save 13 / STR check 13) He attemtps to break free but remains entangled.
Owen dissapears from sight...
Now that the Yellow Duergar is entangled, El has a better chance to shoot him down... (I'm counting 45HP damage instead of 41) Brawn too snaps at the entangled raider. Our yellow friend looks quite damaged already.
Armand makes sure he has some more protection.
On the other side of the battlefield, Atlas eyebrows almost go up in flames as a fireball torches the three Duergar in front of him... Again only his first two blows draw blood. Both landing on the green Duerger.

Vamir's spectral hand finds the cyan Duergar without any difficulty (FORT Save 23 - success) but the Duergar's quite resilient to the negative effects. He suddenly feels clumsier than ever but at least not so bad to risk falling prone.

Amazed with the terrible results of the Disintegrate, Neshi gives it another try... again a thin green ray springs from his fingers... this time it veers towards the black Duergar. He fails to withstand the negative energy and vanishes from the realm of mortals to the realms beyond...
The Cyan Duergar is able to resist the Blindness Armand wanted to cast on him. When called to surrender the Duergar takes a quick look around... Three are gone already... his only remaining gang member is trying to flee south... but at his back a razor sharp curtain of blades... where to go?!?
Like Armand, Vamir too attempts to blind one of the Duergar... but the yellow one also makes his save.

Atlas jumps into the air and yells "Fly!" His boots sprout small wings and he takes off after the Duergar, covering the ground quickly with his winged boots.
As he flies he responds to Armand, "Yep, we cannot chance it and he doesn't seem inclined to give up."
------------------------------------------------------------------- ooc: Atlas uses a double move covering 120 ft to catch up to the Duergar. Assuming the Duergar was running off the map. I'll attack below for AOO, assuming he continues to flee. If by chance the Duergar didn't make it further than 60 ft from Atlas then this would count as an attack for him this round, but I'm assuming that's not the case.

(DM Note - aie I indeed completely forgot about Brawn's action last turn. Hit attack was a clear hit and so was his trip... I'll try to wheel it in this turn - thank you for pointing this out to me)
Just before the Duergar was able to attack Brawn bit a chunk out of his upper leg... additionally he easily knocks the Duergar down! Laying down the Duergar looks up a Brawn... the wolf's teeth drooling and dripping with blood... he scampers backwards and attempts to stand up (drawing an AoO from Brawn)
Yurneshi does not consider it wise to let him escape... a ray blasts the Duergar in his back...
Armand agrees with Neshi and hopes Krugg can talk some sense into the Duergar... the cleric tries to stop him with a command word but it seems not to affect the dark dwarf.
Brawn chases the remaining raider but he fails to bite him. Elyngael though shoots quite accurately. Previous spells made this Duergar move less nimble so even the second attack hits.
Owen observes the fleeing Duergar.
With the trip attack from Brawn last round the Duergar didn't make it far yet so Atlas decides to attack staight away...
vamir assumes his friends will take good care of their runner so he instead takes a look at the bodies... oddly, two have been vapourized... their gear is laying on the ground though.
Badly hurt, the only thing for the Cyan Duergar to do, is run... run and hope he runs fast enough. He'll attempt a double move but both Brawn and Atlas are at his feet. He'll drawn another AoO from Brawn.

Each of you is welcomed by Pleiophus and given a chance to wash your hands before joining the Cleric of Maab at the table. During this ritual Elyngael surveys the Monastery... she notices none of the people who live here carry weapons... in fact this monastery clearly was ill defended... in fact 'not at all' would better suit this place. If those duergar attacked all here were defenceless.
"Ragerster was our druid... our leader... ", Pleiophus answers to Armand during dinner, "He was always striving to be our equal as he was in charge of the Monastery. This Sickle belonged to him and when we deliver him back to our Queen we will send him on his way with it... ". Pleiophus sighs as he continues, "Now it seems I am in charge of this Monastery... it will be difficult to live up to Ragerster's example. "
When asked why they were attacked and if they heard about any other troubles in this region Pleiophus lays down his knife :"From what we heard these bandits say to each other it seems they were looting for gold and precious items for someone with the name Temorianalis. I never heard about anyone called that way... nor do I know where this person lives. I do know that when they spoke about this person they were terrified... "

Increasingly, we are called to quell threats to the areas surrounding it, and it is on such a mission that we happened upon your monastery. You surely noted that the duergar are far from their usual homes; they are not the true enemy: rather, they are fellow-sufferers turned upon the countryside. They are pillaging under the threat of a red dragon, Temorianlis, and we are traveling to its lair in the Scab that we might halt its growing menace."
He continues, turning to Pleiophus' second question: "This meal and a bed for the evening would be great service to us. As my companions have shared, however, we are concerned for your continued safety after the loss of your leader. Would you also grant us time to study a space near your monastery? A courtyard or garden, perhaps? Should further ills befall you or those nearby, we could teleport here with greater accuracy and aid in your protection. That may assuage Elyngael's concerns..."

The evening proceeds and one by one the Wardens share parts of their stories... stories they wrote together some written apart. Pleiophus is eager to listen and so are several of the other disciples that were captured by the Duergar. You are welcome to create a teleportation area within the Monastery as you see fit.
When questioned why the monastery is hardly defended or why then Ragerster was carrying a weapon Pleiophus answers in kind : "It was Ragerster strongest belief that in this holy place there was no need for anger nor hate. As for the sickle... it is our ritual knife for harvesting... I too have one ans so have all of our disciples. Yet they are never used for spilling blood. "
It's becoming late and candles are burning low when the Wardens tell what they have learned so far of Temorianalis... the great Red Dragon that is behind all this mayhem.
"It is sad to learn these Duergar were only trying to save their own kin from this Dragon's wrath... if only they had asked for help Ragerster would most certainly have given it. Perhaps... wait... hold on I'll be right back... "
A few moments later Pleiophus comes back holding a Spear in his hands... "Please take this... Ragerster did not allow weapons to be carried in the monastery but this spear, which was given to the Monastery long ago, is said to be a Dragon Killer... may it serve you well and help defeat this dragon"

Vamir sleeps his normal 2 hours and wakes several hours before the knock at the door. Vamir scoops up Zaita and Melzat and quietly pads down to the sanctuary. Vamir sets Zaita down and makes her larger, and sets Melzat beside her. "Keep an eye out while I prepare for the day please" Vamir walks towards the front of the sanctuary, talking softly to himself, "Queen Maab, thank you for granting me the ability to use my gifts. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to help others. Please help with my rituals."
Vamir takes a deep breath and centers himself as he draws Woldsblood for his spells, (DC 16 rolled DC 30). Vamir smiles as he feels the power course through his body, and he is renewed. Vamir walks back towards, Zaita, "Zaita, it is time for our rituals." Vamir's brow furrows as begins his morning rituals, (Basic Ritual DC 20 rolled 20 Intermediate Ritual DC 30 rolled 30).
Vamir bows slowly, and reverently to the altar, and backs towards the door. Vamir asks Zaita to shrink down and attaches her to his belt. "Melzat, let us walk outside so you can gets your roots in the dirt before the service this morning."
Vamir finds Atlas working with the spear, "Melzat, plant your roots near Elyngael, and Brawn. Look over them as they sleep, and be quiet!" Vamir walks over to Atlas. "Atlas, may I see the spear?" Vamir copies some of the basic stances Atlas was practicing and gets the heft of the weapon. The shaft of the spear smooth against his calloused hands, Vamir deftly spins the spear, stabbing at imaginary foes. "Atlas, if the others don't need this weapon, I will be glad to carry it. I don't have a weapon that would pierce a dragon's hide, and hopefully I won't need it but if I do..." Vamir let's the words trail off unspoken.
OOC: Sorry for missing yesterday's post. This week has been horrible at work.
DM StevenVdB - The Monastery - The Burrial Sunday October 13th, 2019 4:19:13 PM
Oddly no one answer the light tapping on the door to the Warden's chamber... as usual none of the Wardens need a lot of sleep so most of them are already outside or elsewhere practising the new found spear. Seems only Owen was still in the room with his nose tucked away in some heavy tomes.
Armand is found sitting with the body of Ragerster. The druid's wounds have been cleaned and he looks at peace. It seems Ragerster had this special large flat rock in the woods around the Monastery. He could be found sitting there for hours and hours admiring nature around him. Summer or winter... spring or fall... he would always return to this most precious place. Little was known of his life before the Monastery. He shunned weapons yet he owned a dragon bane spear... he had the stature of a knight yet renounced combat...
Time is spent practising... caring for companions and friends... Melzat, Zaita and Vamir prepare for the next day to come.
In turn the Wardens practice the spear... true... though peaceful it now is here, there's still a Dragon out there somewhere.

After breakfast Pleiophus comes to seek you. He suggest burying Ragerster in a corner at the back of the Monastery and asks Armand to speak some words.

Armand speaks. "Lord Gargul hear the words of your humble servant, whose words are often not enough to convey the true scope of loss felt by those that mourn the ones you've taken. We are gathered here to see Ragerster off in his final adventure. All come to you in their time, and it appears this was his time. Ragerster died trying to save those that were entrusted to his care. What better way to enter into your abode. Please hear the prayers of those that knew him and will miss him most." Armand nods to the other monks/druids of the Monastery to say any words they would.
Armand then performs the other ceremonies of his calling. Knowledge Religion 26 (d20+11)

The Wardens pay their respect to Ragerster and though they never actually met him, from all the stories they heard he must have been a remarkable man.
After the ceremony Pleiophus comes to see you.
"We thank you for your kind words and help. I know you have other business out there to do, yet please be welcome here at all time. " Suddenly one of the younger disciples who had been in charge of keeping an eye on Krugg, brings the Duergar before you and Pleiophus.
"Kind sirs and ladies... please me not want go North. Town kin wants me dead... call me weak... Me not want to go home... me not want to go to Dragon... Here nice place... nice people... Me want learn from people... me want stay here... "
Pleiophus eyeballs Krugg and then you : "It would be Ragerster's dream if we were to forgive and allow this young Duergar to live in our Monastery... learning the ways of Woldian Nature. If he would like to stay, he has out blessing to do so.
Time has come to move on... you might almost forget there's a Dragon waiting out there! Up to you to decide if you want Krugg to be dragged with you but it seems he would much rather die than go back North...
And so you get back on the trail North.

"It is up to you what we do we Krugg, though I think leaving him here may not necessarily the best option. I guess it's a matter of trust. If you feel he should get a chance we can leave him, if you feel he can get a chance but needs some safeguards....well I can Geas him to stay here and learn and not harm any of the other monks." He pauses for a moment. "Though casting that spell will mean we will have to stay here another day as I don't have it ready at this moment."

Vamir (Wade) AC:21 T:16 FF: 14 CMD: 20 Hps: 97/97 Ritual of Warding, Ritual of Spiritual Healing Monday October 14th, 2019 10:18:47 PM
Vamir listens to the group, "I personally dislike this idea of leaving this Duergar here but if it is what we, as a group, choose to do I can cast geas on him now, and we don't have to wait another day." Vamir turns to the monks,"While we discuss, is there a broom you might part with? I seem to have misplaced mine?"

Owen is willing to leave the duergar behind, especially with a geas upon him. He asks Krugg how to find the duergar village; with his knowledge of Geography it should be simple to go the rest of the way.
He also spends some time studying a room in the monastery, should he need to teleport back here. "Remember, if you have issues, a Message spell will bring us back here.... unless we're fighting a dragon at that particular moment."

He then goes about packing and getting ready for their journey, spending some quality time with Sabre to ensure his mount is ready for the journey ahead.

I think that while we can certainly contribute to this conversation, the ultimate choice is with the Monks here. If they feel strongly about having him stay, who are we to decide that for them.
DM StevenVdB - Northbound again... Tuesday October 15th, 2019 5:58:16 PM
Seems like Krugg's request is taken into considerations. Armand is not convinces that leaving the Duerger behind is their safest bet, but a Geas spell could do a lot to keep Krugg from turning evil... something that can most certainly convice El. Owen, Atlast and NEshi concur... taking Krugg along is likely to be trouble but leaving him behind without any precautions soulds equal trouble.
Hence, it seems the Wardens are to spend another day at the Monastery. During the day Vamir requests a broom which he is presented gladly. Always great if someone volunteers to clean the place.
Owen takes Krugg with him to the Monastery Library. He finds some maps ofthe area... the Mountain where Temorianalis awaits is marked. So is the monastery itself... so by now you have a clean heading towards the lair of Temorianalis. Reluctantly Krugg draws a very large circle on the map indicating the approximate location of his home village.

The next morning you wake up again - though some don't need much sleep at all - and prepare your departure. Some spells are cast at Krugg... some into the village.

Owen assuages Krugg's concerns. "Don't worry; we'll head to the dragon's lair before your village. Hopefully, they will be the first to hear that the threat is vanquished. Do you have any guidance about getting into the lair itself?"
When the party is ready, Owen departs with the other Wardens.

Vamir takes the broom and heartily thanks the monks. Looking at the group, Vamir asks, "May I cast geas on the Duergar before we sleep? That way we may all begin with our full complement of spells tomorrow. " Vamir spends the day practicing with his sickles, bow, and when allowed the spear. Before heading to bed Vamir cast geas on Krugg if there are no objections.
Vamir gets his standard two hours of sleep, and wakes early preparing his spells and conducting his rituals. Vamir makes sure the broom he was given is in his haversack, and heads outside where he harnesses his mule to the cart. While he waits on the others he makes sure Melzat takes the time to get his roots in the ground.

In the early morning Armand finds Atlas and Elengael. "Hey, while I'm talking to Krugg I'd like you guys to walk by and give him the old Bad Cop stare routine, flex, pat your weapons etc."
The next morning Armand goes to Krugg after Owen is through talking to him. "Hello Krugg. I'll be taking back those manacles now." He pauses and unlocks the manacles. "Let's sit and talk for a bit. I know you don't want to go back home because you are afraid of what others will say. And I do believe you are sincere about wanting to stay with the monks here to learn. However, for your own safety I would like to place a Geas spell on you. It will assure Atlas and Elengael that you are not trying to con your way to freedom." He points out Atlas and Elengael. "I mean I wouldn't want them to misinterpret anything and come charging back here to deal out their sort of vengeance would you?"
He lets his words sink in. "So I'm going to cast a spell on you for your own safety now." Armand then casts Geas on Krugg,"You may not injure a humanoid being or, through inaction, allow a humanoid being to come to harm. You must obey orders given you by humanoid beings except where such orders would conflict with the first condition. You may protect your own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second condition." There is no save to this spell though he does get spell resistance if he has it.

Elyngael and Atlas are happy to intimidate Krugg one more time. They stroll past him with Atlas powerfully swinging his sword, while Elyngael stops and commands Brawn to open his mouth wide for her. Once past Krugg, they smile at each other like two little kids. "I wish no harm to Krugg, so I'm glad Armand came up with this way to protect him from himself. Maybe he should geas you while he's at it!" Elyngael laughs and turns quickly running away from Atlas.

Once he finally catchers her he has a huge smile on his face and says, "Well, if that doesn't scare him then nothing will. Now for what you suggested, don't be surprised to wake up with spiders in your bed one of these days!" Atlas winces as he prepares himself for the full force of El's punch, assuming it's coming.
When given time Atlas joins Owen in looking over the maps so that he's prepared.
DM StevenVdB - Humble's Ford Wednesday October 16th, 2019 6:26:53 PM
Krugg shakes his head when Owen questions him about the lay-out of the lair of Temorianalis. "I no dare go near"
Rather than having Armand wasting his powers the next day, Vamir offers to cast the Geas spell before going to bed. (DM Note, I'm having Armand holding his speech to Krugg in the evening instead as Vamir already casts Geas on Krugg) While Vamir prepares his spell, Armand tries to explain him the severity of the spell... the others walk by waving their weapons threatening Krugg...
Luckily Krugg is so vexed on Vamir and Armand that he does not notice Elyngael making jokes about the Geas enchantment with Atlas. The two run around after each other waving their swords at one another... In any case, there seems to be a rather cheerful teamspirit with the Wardens... Before going to bed Neshi practices his weaponry skills some more.

And so finally the Wardens leave the Monastery behind. Krugg, will remain there under the Gear enchantment.
The Monastery is two days behind you when at last you leave the Red Hills behind you and come across the road from Angel Springs to Hovel. From what Krugg told you earlier, the trail you were following would bring you close to Humble's Ford... Following the road you arrive at the bridge crossing the Crescent River... beyond the bridge you can see Humble's Ford.

Bliss and Mookie (Cayzle) Wednesday October 16th, 2019 9:05:48 PM
As you look around the hamlet, you may note that the residents are busy putting up streamers and flowers and bells everywhere. Either the people here like to throw parties on the regular, or they are celebrating something special.
One especially young halfling fellow has an entourage following him as they work to get ready for the festivities. The entourage consists of four halflings (two are playing pan pipes) and a halfling-sized raven. A talking halfling-sized raven.
"Kid! Kid!" the raven says to the young halfling leading the group. "Kid, look! These bums look like adventurers to me. You got humans, and elfs, and ..."
"and a liontaur!" exclaims the young fellow. "Wowsy! Come on, let's say hi!"
The young fellow leads his coterie to the bridge and the party of Wardens. He reaches the group, faces the liontaur, and says in fluent Tauric, "The sun rises on our meeting, child of Domi! We are honored to great you at our hearth." He bows.
Then in common he says, "Wowsy! You guys just missed the battle, but you're in time for the victory party! Welcome to Humbles Ford!"
He bows. The young guy is wearing a cloak, but no armor, and typical adventurer gear ... headband, belt, boots, etc etc. A halfling sling-staff is tucked over his shoulder.
The raven croaks a raucous cough. Bliss laughs. "And this is Mookie, my spirit companion. And my followers, Joy, Hesitation, Comfort, and Mourning."
"They picked those names!" he stage whispers.
"Welcome to Humbles Ford!"

Seeing Bliss talking to some newcomers, Succotash heads over to investigate. As he gets closer, the Wardens see a handsome halfling wearing green priestly robes, embroidered with the holy symbols of the various Woldian gods, which seems to be uncomfortable to him. When he arrives, Owen, Neshi, and Vamir recognize him as the Paladin of Pantheon, Succotash Slenderstick, whom they have met at the Giggling Ghost, however the Priestly garb is something new.
”Welcome, and may the gods of the Wold bless you!” Succotash says,. He than turns to Bliss and asks, ”Did that sound priestly to you?”

Neshi approaches the town and sees the folk running around and feels a bit over-sized and out of place.
When Bliss comes forward and greets him in Tauric, Neshi actually has to pause and think a moment before replying, as it has been so long since he has actually used his native tongue.
"Indeed good sir, our meeting does indeed brighten the Wold and as such I am afraid our parting with dim it just a bit, as wee." Um not meaning to be rude, but as you have introduced your friends, indicating Mookie, Joy, Hesitation, Comfort, and Mourning, might we have your name as well?."
When Succotash approaches, Neshi nods in greeting and then cocks his head a bit as if trying to figure out what was different about him at this meeting.
