After the round, the Dragons join the crowds emptying out of the stadium, with their escort from the Mailed Fist in tow. Back at the Village, they find Heather there waiting for them, with a cake in hand.
"I should have expected it, but I didn't! A perfect record today! I saw all the fights but Fangs final, but looking at Runt, it seemed like a forgone conclusion. Spirits high, right? Who wants a celebration cake!?"

Terser inspects the cake, assessing the quality of the frosting, making sure the ratio of frosting to sponge is acceptable, ensuring the sponge isn't too dry, all the basics really.

Tahni recalls how someone attempted to poison the party earlier, and it was Heather who brought it to them.
Before anyone takes any she casts a few spells. If anyone still wants a piece she'll offer to quickly dip it into her empty cauldron first.
Is Tahni paranoid? Perhaps, but since they got here people have been trying to sabotage them.

Tahin's divinations reveal nothing untoward about the cake. It's clean, poison free, and probably just a bit sweet for the dwarven palate. Tersers inspection reveals that the cake is moist, but the icing is getting warm and starting to lose its form just a little.
Better eat it quick.
Heather has both rum and coffee available. "Wine is for dark chocolate, and this is vanilla."

Bralin rolls his eyes in response to the disparaging remarks about pairing his cake with mead.
"Rum then," he grouses. "And I will have Tahni's piece."
The dwarf sets upon the cake like a starving, well, dwarf. And has several mugs of rum to go with it.
"Who is the fourth semi-finalist?" he wonders aloud.

Rill politely skips the cake. "Thank you Heather, but I have other things pulling at me that have upset my stomach a bit."
He will wait until we are alone, and then compose himself. He goes over the names of the missing team members, and he reads over the notes indicating a time and place. He lights some incense and begins his meditation, casting Divination, asking his God, "What awaits us should we appear at the designated time and place indicated in the notes that were left behind?"
(Rolled a 40 - success!)
Then he takes out some rather expensive incense, lights it as he casts Commune, and again meditating as he asks:
Commune, 18 yes/no questions: 1-Are all of the missing team members still alive? 2-Are the missing team members being held near this destination? 3-Is it safe to teleport to this destination? 4-Are there undead near this destination? 5-Are there outsiders near this destination? 6-Are there any Woldian gods near this destination? 7-Are there any Immortal Powers near this destination? 8-Are any of the other team members of the missing people complicit in the abductions? 9-Are the Chancers complicit in the abductions of these missing team members? 10-Are the monks complicit in the abductions? 11-Does the Last Whisper carry undead in the sarcophagus? 12-Is the number of constructs on the island growing? 13-Did any of the missing people go voluntarily? 14-Are human monks being replaced by constructs? 15-Has Heather been complicit in any attempts to sabotage us? 16-Is Bruagh Stormbringer nearby? 17-Is there movement among the pantheon that would make the Gods tense and moody? 18-Do we have any former foes involved in these abductions?
(Commune - You contact your deity–or agents thereof–and ask questions that can be answered by a simple yes or no. You are allowed one such question per caster level. The answers given are correct within the limits of the entity’s knowledge. “Unclear” is a legitimate answer, because powerful beings of the Outer Planes are not necessarily omniscient.
