Hey diddle diddleHe lends his voice and clapping of hands to others' music, and appreciates their dance.
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon;
The little dog laughed
To see such sport
And the dish ran away with the spoon.
Hey diddle diddle
Didja know in the middle
Of that prodigious bovine leap
The cow birthed a calf
Then she started to laugh
And called her calf 'Moonbeam'
But the rest of the Wold
When the tale was told
Said, "No, his name's Mooncalf!"
Murphy asks them about the world they came from, and tries to learn some of their farming practices. "Here I'm coming as some sort of plant expert, but there are so many things I still have to learn. Teach me things you know that I am not doing here." He especially is curious as to what things they have decided to plant.After examining the recent work of the worms, he plans out the next spots for the plant growth spell, discussing it with the formian farmers. He will learn everyone's name - but does not need the DM to come up with naming them. Again, he ponders how to fine-tune the spell, and come up with off-shoots of it, refinements. Plant shaping. Plant fertility. How to increase yields. Accelerating soil preparation, enrichment. [Might have a trip to the Black Genie coming up soon.]
When shown the hatchery, he feels a sense of awe. "Soon you will have many little ones to join in. How do you teach them? Will most survive to adulthood? There seem to be among you some clear delineations of skills and abilities. How can one tell what one will become? Does the Queen decide as she lays the eggs?" He has many more such questions. "How can I learn to communicate telepathically, as you do?" he asks.
