'After the creator finished his journey, he pondered about creating another race that had all the positive aspects of all his other races. A group he could be content with ... a race that pleased him completely. So the creator began his journey again and visited the fey in the forests. He seized a sprite and bound her with magic. The creator then revisited each race again and took from them a portion of what they were. From the elves he took agility and grace. He added it to the fey and it grew. From the dwarves he took devotion to family and added it to the sprite and she began to grow and change. Boldness and fearlessness he takes from the orcs and the fey grew even larger. The creator visited the humans once again and took from them the spark of creativity and the ability to adapt. After all these thing are collected, the creator adds them to the fey and the hobbit was born. A tall, strong, formidable creature that knew no fear. Who had bold ambitions and the creativity to do what they will. So, you see, Bliss, we, in part, are fey. 'All hobbits were created from the body of a fey,' Eberyon told them. Though, I suppose, with enough other bits mixed together that I don't think we are especially susceptible to cold iron - at least no more so than other iron.
'The creator stood back and admired his craftsmanship. So very pleased he was. And great favor he bestowed on his beloved hobbits. The other races grew jealous and fearful of such a race and made war against them. The creator, in his ultimate wisdom, sought to halt the hostility by making his beloved hobbits smaller in size to lessen the threat they imposed on others. This made the hobbits more elusive to their enemies. It taught them to hide and use the shadows for cover. Gave them patience and cunning. Peace was soon restored and the creator was satisfied. After deciding that his work was complete, the Jericko stepped away from the Wold and rested.'"
"In Flower's Town the blossoms bloom"Welcome one and all: Family, friends, neighbors, dignitaries. With the passing of years we noted with gratitude members of Humble's Sword on several occasions working hard to defend our town and beloved valley from many who envy the blessings we enjoy, the blessings of Lady Flower. She teaches and counsels us toward committed love rich and deep, and marriage between a couple for life. Such allows offspring of such a union to be taught, protected, shaped and nurtured, and for the couple to serve their community in myriad ways.
In scarlet, mauve, and sweet perfume
We gather here - our Lady's room
As comes the bride to her bridegroom"
"In life there is suffering. In life there are joys. Will you Murphy, and will you Pressi, covenant together to provide comfort where there is suffering, and to share in celebration of times of joy? Will you work together, serve each other, and yield one to the other? Will love be your aim?"
"The vows here are simple. Will you, Murphy, take this woman Pressi to your wedded wife, to hold at bed and at board, for fairer and fouler, for better for worse, in sickness and in health, till you depart this life for the lands of rest?"
"And will you, Pressi, take this man Murphy to your wedded husband, to hold at bed and at board, for fairer and fouler, for better for worse, in sickness and in health, till you depart this life for the lands of rest?"
"Now, have you a token of your pledge?" [Exchange of rings, or something else?]
"In view of the covenent promises made here this day, and the tokens of their pledge, in the presence of Flower and of these witnesses, I hereby declare you husband and wife. You may share a kiss in seal of the covenant."
- The wolpertingle dwellings in the Culverwood, near where Murphy has a very comfortable treehouse he has surreptitiously built during brief breaks in prior adventures. He also harvests a few small items of different types of wood he has been keeping an eye on. Also, from there, a quick trip to The Emerald City to pick up a few items he ordered, and a night at the theater for Pressi. I couldn't find anything by your friend Shakespeare, but am told there is a wonderful musical about the romance of Lord Lucas and Lady Meridian, whoever they are, or were."Among the questions he has for Pressi (and there are many) is, "Tell me about the black dragon."
- A night in the Grotto of Power
- A storm giant castle near the town of Dhahe on Shadow Mountain where live Vurus and Thalika, parents to 'the largest baby in the Wold,' Lonia, nicknamed 'Calm Tempest' by Murphy, whom they had rescued from the circus slavers and returned to their parents. Pressi was instrumental in finding the babe's family. Murphy would like to see how things go with the - almost toddler, now? - since they brought her home. While there, he also makes a point to buy a keg of Porter from Xedor, whom Vurus claimed to be 'the best brewer on the mountain.' He thinks it a suitable thank you to Succotash and Kezzem for contributing each in his own way to the nuptials.
- Windhorn Hamlet, to visit the place at Dragon Bay where every year a special ceremony is held from time immemorial to protect the small town.
- Any place or two or three of Pressi's choosing. Even Dirt City. They could go in disguise.
